I like the perfumes they have at CVS. The knock off versions….I have 3 now and use them every day. Love the ones called Happy and Cashmere Mist.

I used the $2.25 off select Colgate Max, Total, 2 in 1 or Optic White plus a printable $1 off coupon and still had to pay the .21 cents in sales taxes. Is that normal? I thought if it was free it was free. maybe i am misunderstanding.

      • Sadly, you’ll always owe the tax. Coupons take off the store price but are not allowed to take off the tax due on the original price.

Thank you!! Now I know. Still a great deal though :)

I have a question, I saw an item in cvs on clearance for 2.00. I have a 5.00 off coupon. Can I buy this and use the overage to buy something else?

      • megan

I think yes—I would make sure that you had at least another $4 in stuff before you went to the register to make sure there were no overage issues.

        • jennifer

Thanks! I think I will try it with one and see if it works! I read on other sites no, but I think they maybe didn’t have other products in their cart to absorb the overage.

I also believe you can. Whenever I get “overage” I just have to purchase another item. Even if it’s only a few cents – which can be aggravating at times.. =)

It depends on the cashier because sometimes they will notice the price and lower the coupon down to the price of the item (manually enter $2). It will usually cover the cost of other items it it is over.

The last 3 times I’ve been to CVS the coupon center has said hey super shopper, you’ve gotten all your coupons for today, come back tomorrow. Anyone else having that issue?

      • Jan

Yes. This has been happening to me also. I don’t recall see the message before this month.

      • jessc5

Yep. That is familiar! When I scan my card, I get a couple coupons almost alway for candy. If I scan it again, I get the “super shopper” comment. Annoying.

I’ve gotten a new card but it still gives me nothing but store brand coupons or candy coupons. Do you have to activate the new cards that the cashiers hand you? I use to get tons of good deals a year or so ago. My card’s savings show over $5k over the last year and I barely get anything to print…
