On CVS website there are printable CVS coupons for Glade sense and spray starter kit $3 and the lasting impressions kit $4 [mine expired on 1/2/210 , not sure if the exp date goes with print or not. So not sure how this will all work with the $3 and $4 coupons from inserts as it is $7 off each $6 item ? Anyone know how cvs will handle the coupons, adjust coupon price or should I buy things to handle the overage ?

      • Amy G

I’m pretty sure I have the same coupon.. and you should be able to stack the CVS coupon with the Manuf coupon.. I can’t wait to check it out.. it might be overage!

      • Sue

Unfortunately, these are probably mfg’s coupons, so they can not be stacked. I printed some a couple of weeks ago, but when I looked at them I saw that the bar code started with a 5, which means they are mfg. I think that true CVS coupons start with 4.

      • Michelle

LD, I believe those are manufacturer coupons, so you would only be able to use one or the other. Check the barcode. If it starts with a 5, it’s a manufacturer coupon and can’t be stacked with a newspaper coupon.

      • Jennifer

They are CVS coupons i used the $3 off CVS coupon last night with the $4 off coupon i got from the paper a few weeks back. I had a raincheck from when it was priced at $5… wish i would have waited!

      • Cassia

They are from the manufacturer, but clearly say “CVS/pharmacy coupon” They should be stackable, just as any other store coupon. I’ve noticed even extra bucks now coming up as manufacturer coupons (but still stackable) now. Not sure how they would work with overage, though, but definitely worth a try!

      • LD

Well that is all i can do is give it a try . they may have to adjust the coupon down but I am hoping they give me the overage . I need some cotton swabs and some eye wash .

        • Sue

Please let us know if you are able to stack them.

          • Brittany L

Went into CVS yesterday and bought Glade sense & Spray starter kit reg. price 9.99 use my cvs printable coupon (which cearly stated that it was a cvs coupon, but the # started with a 5) and also used a manf. Coupon ! Didn’t think I could stack them but they both went through with no problem! I paid 3.48 after tax! Now I’m gonna return it and re buy with the same coupons tonight and see if I can get it for free! There is also a 2.00 off coupon that is taped on the front of the sense & spray box!

            • Catherine

I did the same Glade deal, however, you might want to purchase them in 2 transactions so that it won’t beep because the CVS coupon said one coupon per transaction(forgot exactly cos I don’t have it anymore). The manager had to override it. He said I should have purchased it in 2 transactions and will still get the ECB. Anyway, it is an overage.

          • marina

I did the glade deal today but instead of the $4 off Q I used the $2 peelie on the box plus the cvs $3Q. The CVS coupon beeped but my cashier just pushed it through anyway. So I can’t say for certain that the $3Q is really a store coupon or not. I guess it depends on your cashier. Good Luck!

            • Which $3.oo CVS coupon are you referring to?

          • LD

Used them both today . The manuf and the cvs .Not sure if the cashier was sick of my coupons beeping lol the $1 cover girl beeped and my 5 off 30 one did and then the free cover girl product . But it did not seem to me that I head a beep at all on the glade ones I gave manuf first then the cvs ones and it all seemed to go through fine . I got one of each diffrent kit .

      • Stephanie B.

I did this deal today – used a $3 manf. Q and the $4 CVS Q for the Last Impressions and used the $3 manf Q and the $3 CVS Q for the Sense & Spray! The register took all without any problem. Ended up only spending $3.08 (which was just sales tax) after my Q’s and ECB’s.

      • Tiffany

did this deal last night.. stacking coupons worked.. no beeps.

    • Jess

It is a really repetitive add! Very similar deals to the ones they ran the last couple of weeks.

Isn’t it weird that they have the Glade Essential oils candle refills or holder going again, but this time for $3 each and $4 ECB wyspend $12? I’ve got my rain check from a couple weeks ago when they were $2.50 each and $3 ECB wyspend $10, but none of my stores have enough in stock to make the deal yet. I want to buy 3 deals all at once so I can use 10 ECB and a $5 off $30 coupon that expires soon. I wish they kept their stock up better!

      • Karen

I know what you mean, if I can’t make it to the store on Sunday morning I will never get the deals they list. I have even gone in the mornings and they are already out!! It is a waste of time so I stopped going….

        • If your CVS is not a 24 hour store, you can go after six p.m. on Saturday and get the current weeks deals and the ones that start on sunday. that way you can beat everyone to the new deals. I went to one of Jenny’s workshops and that is what she does. She only goes to CVS once every two weeks.

      • Amy

How can you do 3 deals at once when the limit is 1?

        • Jess

On that particular ECB deal the limit was 3, so you can spend up to $30 and get $9 ECB. I guess the limit this upcoming week is 1.

      • The Mentalist

I believe they are two different Glade products. The one two weeks ago was “Glade Scented Oil Candle Refill/Holder” and this week is “Glade Essential …..” Essential is a different line. You will also see coupons offer same deals B1G1, but it will state the “Essential” keyword and pictures of the items. I think I am correct

      • Carrie

Jess I know what you mean. I just finally used my raincheck tonight for the Glade which was priced @ 2.50 and it was receive 3ECB when you buy $10. So I bought $30 and was waiting to get $9 ECB back. The register assumed it was the new week’s Glade deal and spit out only 4 ECBs. The cashier manually made 5 more ECBs for me but I am worried that if I try this current week’s Glade deal I will not get the ECB’s because of the register’s mistake. Oh well, CVS has been good to me and I won’t complain. Correction, God is good to me so why complain at all? :)

    • Debbie

Am I missing the scenerio deals? or are they not available this time. I love those. Thanks Jen for all your work!

      • Jenny

I just couldn’t stay awake last night so I’m working on them now. Sorry.

        • Lisa

Is there any way you can post some more scenarios? I’m having a hard time making these work and need some more help because I’m new to the CVS thing. Thanks!

    • Jacky

I thought there was supposed to be a huggies deal this week!?!?

      • Mandy Gabers

        Huggies deal starts the 22nd

        • Christie

Thanks for letting me know. I didn’t know a Huggies deal was coming up!!

    • muna

      few things to ask
i go to same cvs , i look at the deal here , and go that way , doing 8 weeks but why they think we are doing wrong , we are paying for it, they give us a look (here she is) why?
yesterday i stop by to same cvs to ask for new booklet with 4 ecb he said u have to scan the card and card will decided that i am eligible for it, thats true ?

      • sue

No. One of the stores that I frequent had them sitting by the front door to pick up. A friend got one by asking for it at another store.

      • kelli

I’ve been told that the register has to tell them to give you a catalog. I’m not sure how it decides who gets one and who doesn’t though because I’ve been given 2 and my fiance hasn’t gotten any.

        • meg

The CVS at Sixes Road in Canton and the one on Johnsons Ferry in Dunwoody just have the catalogs sitting on the front counter.

          • Honey

I asked the pharmacist assistant and she gldly handed me one. I have had trouble in the past when the ad would say get this coupon booklet for asking about such and such. I would ask and they would say “oh, you have to sign up for such and such program.” Then I would point out their sign sitting there that says “if you ask about the program.”
            Sometimes they can be stinkers…

            • Kelly

The Register actually cues the cashier to ask, also, I believe that at the bottom of the receipts it says if you have used the coupon yet or not, for the $4 ECB. Even if you have been asked once, the register doesn’t know and it asks every time you use your card.

      • Jennifer

The same thing happened to me. I was going to do the John Frieda deal and asked for a book so I could show them if the ECB didn’t print. The clerk said the computer didn’t tell her she could give me the book, so therefor she couldn’t (she sadi my name would turn yellow on the screen if I could have one). I asked if I could just look at it, she said yes, but I would have to give it back. The ECB printed no problem, so I didn’t even have to show her the ad. She sure made sure I gave the book back though.
Another question. What is their policy on coupons for a free item? I have the coupon buy a shampoo & conditoner and get a styler free. I also had 2 coupons for $1.00 off the shampoo and $1.00 off the conditoner. She said since I was using the coupon that said I had to buy the shampoo and conditoner to get the styler free I can’t use the other coupons on top of that. She has always been super nice in the past and said the manager is cracking down on coupons.

        • Cori

The only thing about these books is that it has a $4 ECB, you are allowed one of these per CVS card. They track it. So you only really need one book. I got mine in the mail yesterday.

        • The Mentalist

This is wrong. You are using the “Free” coupon for the styler, but you are still purchasing the shampoo and conditioner. Therefore, you are due amount on two items. You should be able to pay for those two items with coupons instead of green currency. Therefore, it is not exactly stacking; you are using one manuf. coupon for each item that you are actually “purchasing.” Also, coupons have cash value. CVS is getting paid the full amount plus 8 cents extra for handling. So, I do not know what the manager means “cracking down.” he is ruining the marketing efforts of the manuf. and CVS itself. The manager needs to be reported.

      • I’m guessing it does cue the person to ask you if you want the book; I picked up a prescription today and the pharmacist said the register asked if I’d like a holiday book. I said yes, of course. :-)

      • Tori

At my regular CVS, they were on a shelf behind the pharmacy check out – I simply asked for one and they gave it to me (that was on Tuesday). On Friday, I received one in the mail.

    • Adele

Is there a deal to be had with the Planters Nuts B1G1
Mixed Nuts, Whole Cashews, Nutrition, or Smoked Almonds and the rebate that is out there? Weren’t there some coupons in the calendar that came out? Thanks! Adele

      • Candy

There is a $1.00 off any Plantars Nuts in the Keep the Jingle book that I found at Publix. I found Plantars Honey roasted Peanuts at Rite Aid for B1G1 at $3.99, so used 2 coupons and got two cans for $1.99

        • Candy

I am sorry that coupon was $1/2 and I used one and my total was $2.99 for 2.

    • carol

This week is actually a good one for me since I just used the last of my CG Simply Ageless foundation….I also received a mailer for 20% my purchase this weekend (I still need to read the terms on this tho as sometimes they will exclude ecb deals)…I have 13.00 in ECB’s going into this weekend so with the CG B1G1 coupons and the ECB’s I already have I can roll this CG deal into the Glade deal, suave deal, revlon deal and the olay deal and be very little oop and still walk out of the store with 12 ECB’s…

      • Kelly

More than likely, your 20% off coupon is only good on regular priced merchandise. Bummer.. I know!

    • Brianna

I’m new to this so any help would be great.

“$5 ECB wyb $15 Energizer Max or Energizer Advanced Lithium at $5.99 Limit 1”

this is what the ad says, so does that mean I have to $15 worth of batteries, or just have a total purchase amount of $15? and does the limit 1 apply to the batteries or to the ECB?

      • Beth-Paulding Co.

you have to purchase $15 worth Energizer Max or Energizer Advanced Lithium batteries (before coupons).

The limit is that you can only do this deal one time to receive the ECB’s.

You can get more batteries at that sale price but you will not receive anymore ECB’s
        hope that helps…..

        • Brianna

          Thank you it did.

          • MonaLisa

Go to I hearpublix. com and it shows that you can get the energizer c or d 4 packs for free. I did this deal tonight and have 2 packs of each size.

            • Jennifer

where can I find that free battery deal on iheartpublix? I don’t see it…

    • Stacey

The Nexxus deal is good if your store accepts competitor q’s as Rite Aid has $3 or $4 off Nexxus q’s (expires 12/31) after you watch the video. My store took these q’s the last time they ran this sale because Rite Aid is just across the street. You can buy (2) products and use the $5/20 CVS sunset mag q if you have it, (2) $4 off Rite Aid Nexxus q’s and pay $7 and get back $10 ECB’s.

    • Tinap

I love your site and use it all the time. In the ad the Dial body wash was listed as $3.99 and in your scenario you stated $2.99. Your total will be $1.00 more if I am seeing this right!

    • Elizabeth

Anyone know where to get the $100 flu book?

      • Sue

You can ask at the pharmacy but they may all be gbone since they’ve been out for a while. They also may tell you that you are supposed to get the book when you get a flu shot. You then can tell them that the ad states “no purchase necessary” and show them the ad if possible.

        • MonaLisa

When I asked they said only the min clinics had them and I got one whem I got my shot.

          • Sue

I got mine from a store without a minit clinic. Most all of the stores are giving flu shots at some point so they all should have the book.

      • Stephanie B.

I just walked up to the pharmacy yesterday and asked if they had any left. The pharmacy person said “yeah, we have tons because I kept forgetting to give them out when I gave the shot.” !!!!???? I should have asked for more than one!! Hate to think of them going to waste.

        • Sue

          Which store?

    • I’m curious abt the $5 off $30 coupons… are these the Medicare Quiz ones that everyone is having issues with since they’re printing with the same barcode? I have one from when they first came out, and a 2nd I got off a different machine today; same exact code on the new one. I’m just kind of leary of building my scenarios around these if it’s going to create an issue at the register.

      • Patty

If I recall from a previous online coupon for a quiz through CVS, when you give them your ECB card, it has registered any purchases or store coupon uses (like limits, etc), that is where they find out you have already used a “quiz” coupon and that’s when your sorrow may be realized. Just something to think about before you go…..but I could be wrong. I hope so.

      • Sarah

I had three completely different $5 off $20/30 coupons to use from three completely different sources, and I was not permitted to use any of them. I was told that I had already used one…and I have not. Somebody at CVS made a major mistake with the barcodes on these coupons!

        • Esmelda

Same here. I had a sufficiently ugly experience (with essentially being accused of cheating) that I’m not very keen on even visiting CVS again.

          • Kirsten

I had the same issue with a $5 off $20. The computer said I had already used it, but I hadnt even been into a CVS, yet. I called the number they gave and said that there were some “hacked” coupons floating around the web that were not authorized by CVS, so they voided them out.

          • ZJ

The same thing happened to me today. The manager asked if I let anyone use the coupon (I think that was his polite way of asking if I printed the coupon more than once)!! I’ve never known any CVS clerk to hand coupons back to me after they’ve been scanned! I would have reworked my deal w/o the $5 off $30, but he made a comment about not being able to use multiple CVS coupons in one transaction (He was referring to the $5 off $30 and a CVS glade coupon). I kindly took the little money that I planned to spend 5 miles down to the next CVS!!

    • Tiya

I have a coupon for free refill pack with the purchase of Glade holder and also a coupon for a free holder with the refill purchase. Can I use both and get both free or will that not work?

      • kelli

you can’t use both of the coupons to get both items for free. each coupon is for 2 items, so you’d be using 2 coupons per item. If the sale was bogo, you’d be able to use them to get free items.

        • kelli

I was actually just rethinking this after I posted it. I guess it’s possible that your store might let you use both to get them both for free because you can use a $$ off coupon with the bogo coupon. I don’t think that you can though.

          • Tiya

Thanks. I guess I can try and see. I just wondered if anyone had done this before.

      • Kellie

this one is tricky… the first coupon is $ off the refill so it’s coded to that item and the second one is $ off the holder so it’s coded to that item. A CVS cashier may argue that since your not “buying” the holder you can’t get it free, another may not care since they are getting reimbursed by the manufacturer for all items anyway. It most likely is a try it at your store and see situation.

        • kelli

I agree, you probably need to just try it. If you’ve got a really friendly store/cashier, it might work. Technically, I’d guess that it should but I don’t think it’s supposed to.

    • Amy

For the Covergirl deal…can the $2.50/2 coupon be used with the free face product coupon? (Since you’re getting 2 items…or does that not work since one is free w/the other coupon?) That would make them .25 each.

      • Sue

I don’t think this would work because you would have 2 Q’s applied to the blush. It would be great though!

      • kelli

I agree, it most likely will not work because you’d be using two coupons on 1 item, which doesn’t work unless you have one store and one manufactures coupon.

      • Carol

I used both of the CG coupons today on the same transaction and it went through with no problem.

      • Shay

I wen’t today and bought CG ageless foundation$13 and cg ageless blush $10 used 2.50 coupon 1st then b1g1 and she took the $10 off. I m sure it just depends on your cashier but the b1g1 beeps anyway for them to put in the amount so it worked.

        • kelli

now I wish I had tried the $2.50 off, my oop would’ve been just tax because my subtotal was $1.50 after coupons. :( boo!

          • Meredith

I tried to use the buy a CG foundation, get a free face product yesterday at a CVS (actually, there were 3 of us there all with the same coupon) and they wouldn’t take it…gave me 3 lame excuses (a) because the item was on sale (b) because if the coupon doesn’t automatically take off an amount (and they have to enter it), they can’t take it; and (c) because there are fraudulent coupons out there (even though this coupon isn’t even printed…it’s out of the paper!
Anyway, I’m going to try a different CVS today. Has anybody else had a problem with this?
I was really looking forward to this deal b/c I have that coupon, a $4 off $20 coupon, and $4 ECB…I’ll pay , like $5 and get $10 ECB!

    • Shelley

Can you buy items on different transactions for the ECB’s? I’ve noticed that many of the coupons have “1 per customer”. Is that one per item, one per transaction, or one per customer? I’ve noticed that many of the deal ideas have more than one of the same coupon used.

      • Sue

That is usually one per item unless it is a store coupon. You can not use 2 “like” store coupons in the same transaction. But to answer your question, yes, you can buy the items for an ECB deal in different transactions. It is tracked by your card. At the bottom of your receipt it will tell you how much more you need to buy to get the deal.

        • Shelley

Thank you!! I was really having a hard time seeing how the multiples coupons could be used.

    • Sue
      • Sue

        There is also a Hellman’s Q there.

      • Sue

If this link doesn’t work go to Save-a-lot.com to print the coupon.

    • Sue

There is also a Hellmans Q there.

    • jen

how can I print out $4 off glade sense & spray coupon?
it shows this Q does not available.

    • Stacey

For anyone looking to get the Nexxus deal, there’s a pretty good deal if your store takes competitor q’s. You get $10 ECB’s if you spend $20 on Nexxus products which is basically (2) of the Dualiste products. Go to the Rite Aid site and watch the videos and get $3 or $4 off Nexxus q’s which don’t expire until 12/31. Use a $5/20 CVS printable q and (2) $4 off Rite Aid q’s and pay about $7 OOP and get $10 ECB’s back. I did this same transaction last month when CVS ran a similar deal.

    • Tracie

I have the CVS Flu Booklet, please go to Southern Savers Traders if you would like some coupons for this weeks sale.

    • Sue

Can anyone tell me what inserts the Spartanburg Herald-Journal usually has? I have to travel around 15 miles to get my Sunday papers and go to CVS and my favorite CVS is in a town that has the Spartanburg paper. I have been getting the Greenville News and making a separate trip to CVS but it wouls save gas, therefore money, if I could do it all in one trip.

      • Chris

        Sue,

If you look on the “spine” of The Greenville News weekly inserts it lists The Greenville News and Spartanburg Herald Journal. I think the same weekly coupon inserts are in both papers. Several weeks ago I compared The Greenville News weekly insert coupons to the list that Jenny released for the Spartanburg Herald and coupons were the same. Hope this helps!

        • Sue

Thanks. Evidently you must live in the Upstate. Do you find that, in a lot of cases, you don’t have the coupons that are listed? I can usually work out a pretty good deal but it would be great to have all the Q’s that are listed.

          • Chris

            Sue,
Yes, I live in the Upstate. And I agree that I wish I had all of the coupons listed, but usually I can work some pretty good deals with the coupons I do have. I am not willing to purchase other newspapers (such as ones from Charlotte or Atlanta) to get those coupons. My parents live in Massachusetts, so I do receive their coupons and many of their coupons are different. When Jenny sends out the weekly variations (thanks Jenny!), I try to print that list out – this helps to find the coupons or stop looking if we don’t have them.

            • I am in the Upstate also and did not receive several of the coupons that my friend in the low state received. Bummer!! However, she didn’t get the Velveeta cheese that we got! :)

    • Sue

There is a 75/1 Q for Kleenex here. It has Kmart on it but it is a Mfg Q because it starts with 5. We should be able to use it.

      http://print.coupons.com/couponweb/Offers.aspx?pid=14544&zid=jj40&nid=10&bid=alk11111311204b68aa55812517

      • ginger

When you print them, doesn’t even say Kmart on them…cool! Thanks Sue!

        • Sue

Mine sais “redeem at kmart” in the lower right-hand corner. But the top says Manufacturer’s Coupon and it starts with 5. The register should not even beep because it is legit.

    • Mary

I am just starting to use CVS & I have a question about the scenario. What is the -$5 off $30?

      • Sue

It is a coupon for $5 off a $30 purchase (before coupons) that you can get for taking a short quiz on Medicare on cvs.com. But you need to give them that coupon before your others.

    • Leslie Hoyer

there is a B2G1 Suave Bodywash QP. Put that QP with two of the $0.50 QP you will be paying $1 for 3 Suave Bodywashes

    • kelli

has anyone else had one of the $5/$20 ring up as $10/$20? I had my whole plan worked out, I was going to buy the simply ageless blush and foundation (I don’t wear makeup but I have ECBs that I needed to roll this week), use a $5/$20, $1 off any covergirl, and 1 free face product wyb foundation, then I was going to use $6.50 in ECBs and 50 cents plus tax oop… but my $5/$20 rang up as $10/$20. There was a bunch of confusion about the free item coupon too. I was so confused when she gave me a total of $2.12 I just paid it. I didn’t have any ECBs that small, so my oop was much higher then I’d planned. I didn’t figure out what had happened until I was in the car looking at my receipt.

      • Tonya

Mine rang up as $10 off, too. It worked out to my advantage, though, since I was planning on paying $7 oop this week.

        • kelli

that’s so strange. I really wish that I had more of them that were $10/$20, that would be amazing! :) I’m definitely not complaining because I spent $.50 ECBs and $2.12 oop and got back $10, which was awesome. I’m just a little bit frustrated because I wanted to use up expiring ECBs. Now I’ve gotta figure out something else to use them on. My fiance really wants the giant reeces cups, maybe I’ll get him those.

      • carla

Hey Girls, I had the same problem at my CVS here in charlotte with the B1G1 covergirl coupon. I had to call customer care (1-800-shop-CVS) :( the first phone number the two front managers on duty gave me was for another store ?? I was never so glad I had written the # down and was able to have customer care give them permition to “push it through”. why are we having to help CVS “train” their management?? does anyone have a copy of the coupon policy for CVS. I really do not want to return because of this. the pain of having to “roll” my bucks is really getting old. I really almost want to go back to the old snail mail rebate.

    • RM

Is the Hersheys bliss candy included in the candy Bucks deal I have a ton of Bogo free coupons and could use the bucks

    • Amy

I just got home from CVS. What an amazing trip! I got the Glade Sense and Spray, used the $3 manf and $3 Cvs coupon and the $2 on the box coupon – i asked and she said it took it. I also got the Lasting Impressions, with one $3 coupon, 2 Covergirl products (foundation/blush) with the deal mentioned above and coupons and she said my subtotal was $5.00, and my ECB’s I was using was $6.99…so i got 2 Skor’s and 1 carmel and ended up paying $3.03 OOP…not sure why (maybe tax??), but I can’t complain!!! I also used the $5 off $30 coupon, and it didn’t scan correctly, but she took it.

WOW! I walked away with 14 ECB’s for a future trip! :) I have been using the website for 3 weeks and can’t believe I used to pay full price for some of this stuff before. I went to Publix this morning, spent $10 and saved $60…truly amazing! This site has changed the way I shop forever!!!!

      • Amy

Ohh I forgot to mention that it printed a coupon for $5 off a $15 purchase too – valid for 3 days!!!

        • kelli

I’m so jealous, I really want one of these!!! :)

        • LD

Oh me too I want one of those 3 off 15 lol. I used up my ebc’s i got today, on things like cotton balls and coffee filters, and eye wash I needed this stuff but I did buy that barking dog and 3 cards for the grandkids too . But hate it when I have to pay out of pocket and no ecbs left lol.. that is sad feeling. No ecb to start off black fri with . But I still have a 5 off 20 coupon .

    • Sue

Wow! I just had an amazing trip to CVS! I did 4 transactions total. It was aggravating but profitable. I got
      3 Sauve
      2 Theraflu
      1 Nyquil
      1 Robitussin
      2 Thermawraps
      2 Glade Sense & Spray
      2 Kleenex
      6 Ragu
      1 CG Foundation
      1 CG Blush.

Total before sale & coupons: $138.75
Total sale prices beforre coupons: $98.96
      Started wirh $32.00 ECBs
      Total OOP $13.58
      Ended with $30.00 ECBs
      Total spent: $15.58

The machine gave me a $5/$15 coupon so I had to re-work some things. Did not mean to spend quite so much oop but I juggle 2 cards, mine & my husband’s, and I had to split some things up. Not complaining, though. $5.12 was tax so I actually spent just $10.46/

    • Candy

Do not forget to scan your Extra Care card in the coupon printing machine at your CVS store. I got a $5 off $15 and didn’t have to buy anything.

      • Ashley

        I got a $10/$30 when I scanned my card

      • Tara

Very jealous! :) I scanned my card at two different CVS today and all I got was coupons for products I won’t ever buy. I haven’t got a $ off of $ spent in a long time. I did print the $5/30 coupon from the medicare quiz and my cashier pushed it through for me so no complaints there. I still LOVE CVS!!!

    • emma

      what is Kroger My Magazine?

    • i was hoping to do the dial deal at 2.99, use manf.Q and cvs Q making it an ok deal for .99 but my cvs sales paper has the dial listed for 3.99 instead of 2.99…….anyone tried this??

    • Susan M

I just went and tried to do the CG Foundation/Blush deal, and the cashier said the Buy Foundation get Blush free coupon wouldn’t work with the Ageless product — that it would only work with other CG foundations. Has anyone else experienced that?

      • kelli

it works. it doesn’t specify what kind of foundation you have to buy. and the coupon scans fine, they just have to enter in the amount of the free item ($10).

      • Sue

        Worked for me!

    • Shay

Just wanted to share my trip from today

      Lasting Impressions $6
      Sense and Spray $6
      CG Ageless foundation $13
      CG ageless blush $10

Used $5 off $30 Medicare Quiz Coupon (Had to manually enter)
$3 off Lasting Impressions x2 (I asked if they had anymore lasting impressions and she said no but if the coupon would work for the sense and spray she would take it and it didn’t beep!)
3.00 cvs coupon(IP) sense and spray
      3.00 cvs coupon (IP)lasting impressions
      2.50 CG 2 products
      10.00 b1g1 CG
      4.00 ECB
      1.50 ECB
      Total OOP 2.09 (tax)
Received $10 ECB CG, $4 ecb Glade !!!!

      • Liv

You managed to use 2.50/2 q for the foundation and blush on top of BOGO free coupon? Isnt suppose the $1/1 coupon?

    • could someone tell me where to find the ragu q 1.25/3 it was not in my redplum 11/15

      thanks!!!

      • Sue

If you go to save-a-lot.com, you can print $1 off 2 coupons. Even better. I bought six jars for $7 and got $3 ECBs. Great deal!

    • sandy

when i went cvs they wouldnt take my covergirl foundation coupon either said coupon doesnt match any items also bought 4 glade oil refills at 3.00 apiece used 2.00 peelies that was on them but didnt recieve ecb does the total to receive have to be 12.00 after coupons or before

      • Stephanie B.

The ECB should be before coupons, so if you bought $12 worth of candle refills it should have given you the $4 ECB. I would take your receipt back and show them the ad. I had to do that today right after I walked out of the store. I bought the Scope Outlast mouthwash, but noticed that my $2 ECB didn’t print (I was expecting $17 in ECB total, but only had $15). I went back in and showed the cashier my receipt and the ad and he manually keyed in the deal and it printed by other $2 ECB without a problem.

    • Melissa

I had a great trip to CVS tonight! My husband went ealier today and the machine printed a $5/$15 coupon so that’s what inspired me to go. These are the things that I purchased:
3 Suave Body Washes/Buy 2 Get 1 coupon and .75 off on two coupon
      2 Cans of Cashews BOGO
1 Glade Sense and Spray/3.00 off coupon
1 Glade Long Lasting Plug In/3.00 off coupon
      1 Russell Stover
Total $50.00 (rounded off) before card and coupons
Total after coupons and card $16.91 plus I have 6.00 ecb to spend on my next trip!

    • Linda

      Whitman’s Sampler 24 oz B1G1 $19.99
sorry – I submitted too soon…get $5 ECB back too

    • Christine

Had a good CVS day. I had a couple Dry Idea coupons that I printed awhile back and got those for free plus overage. Dry Idea is ringing up as 2.29 at my CVS, not 2.99.

      I bought
      (2) Dry Idea @ 2.29 each
      (3) Kleenex @ .99 each
      Total: 7.55

      Used
      (2) -$2/1 coupons (Dry Idea printable)
      (1) -$1/1 coupon (Dry Idea from CVS Flu booklet)
      (1) -$1/1 coupon (Kleenex from CVS Flu booklet)
      (2) -$.75/1 coupons (Kleenex from K-mart website)

      Subtotal: .05
      Total OOP: .43

      Got back 2 ECB

I went tonight to my CVS and tried to do the CG foundation/blush deal. The manager said it would not work for the blush, which was $10, but she would do the deal if I bought two of the foundations, which were $13??? Still only paid $12 out of pocket and got my 10 ECB’s. Strange. Also, she would not take any Revlon coupons for nail polish for the buy $15/get 7ECB. She stated that nail polish was not a color cosmetic. I said it was in the cosmetics department and it comes in lots of colors, but to no avail. Oh well, I still love CVS and I still love my local manager.

I actually had a great CVS week!! Just wanted to share:

      I got:

      1 Mucinex DM 14 pk
1 Nyquil value pack (20 oz)
      3 Lipton Decaf (48 ct)
      1 Skippy Pnut Butter
      4 Pepsi 12 pks
2 Edge Shaving Cream with free travel deodorants
      1 Tone 2pk bar soap
      2 Trident Layers gum
2 cans Lindsay Olives (random, I know, but needed)

I had to do two transactions, but I spent $27.08 for $80.46 worth of stuff! I can’t believe I used to shop any other way! I mean, this was all stuff we needed and use! The old way of shopping, I would have spent $30 for JUST the Mucinex and Nyquil!! I spend LESS than that and got SOOOO much more! I’m just amazed everytime I do this! Thanks so much Southern Savers!!!

    • Not a bad week here either… I ended up with no ECBs but for the almost free Pepsis (which go like water here.. or the husband’s version of coffee), that’s ok. I was also given the holiday book with the $4 ECB wyb $20 card when I picked up my prescrip. Made me happy.

Ok, I have a question and I wonder if this has happened to anyone else. I have two accounts so I can use two cards and 2 deals on the limited one deals. So have one account with $10 ECB’s and the other with $16.99. Ok, I am pretty sure I used my $16.99 ECB but I still have the receipt with the ECB’s attached at the bottom…plus when I looked at my account online it says I have $16.99 ECB’s available??!!!! So, do u think the cashier made a mistake and just entered something wrong or was supposed to TAKE the ECB reciept things and that’s why I still show that the $16.99 is available??? Maybe I’m just reading my account info incorrectly or I’m VERY lucky! What do u guys think and has this ever happened to you before. I don’t want to get embarrassed at the register plus I don’t want to count on the ECB’s and have to come out of pocket. My account clearly says I have the $16.99 “available”. Ok I’ll stop…please any responses would be great!! Thanks you guys.

      • Sue

My opinion is that if you still have the receipt with the ECB coupon attached, you could not have used it. I, too, juggle 2 cards and it can get confusing sometimes. Of cource, the last four numbers of the card are printed on the ECB coupon. Have you compared to make certain you did not get them reversed? Every time I go to CVS and use both cards, when I come home, I sit down and make certain I have the right ECBs with the right card. Same thing goes for coupons from the CRT machine.

        • Beth

Thanks for the reply. I even have the other receipt that shows me using the $6.99 ECB and the $10.00 ECB to equal the $16.99 ECB that I bought for other stuff. So as long as I still have the receipt though I should be golden because it’s just like cash right?? Well, Im gonna try it today cause they expire tomorrow. I will keep you undated and let u know what happens tonight!!

          • Beth

            IT WORKED!!

    • pharmSCgirl

Just wondering: if you juggle 2 CVS extracare cards when you get ECBs from one card and try to use them on the next purchase do you have to use them using the same card. I don’t know if this makes sense. Say I purchase something using card A and get ECBs, if I go back in and purchase something with card B can I use the ECBs I got with card A?

      • Beth

Yes but it’s not hard to keep it straight because the ECB has the last 4 digits or so of the card you used to get the ECB’s. Hope that helped. I use two that way I can get 2 of the deals when they only limit one.

        • Beth

So I just re-read your comment. You have to use card A with the A ECB’s.

          • Nick

I got a $5 off $20 from the scan machine on Sunday! Good for 3 days. Not sure if anyone else got this.

            Nick

          • pharmSCgirl

Thanks guys, I was planning on using my boyfriend’s card today too. I think I can figure it out. I hope I get some good coupons when I scan my card today. My boyfriend got a $25 gift card coupon with a transferred rx so I think I’m going to do that today and use the gift card to take care of some out of pocket costs. I may do the Nexxus one with the gift card. Thanks again!

      • kelli

This isn’t usually the case, but sometimes an ECB will work with the wrong card. A few times I’ve accidentally gotten my fiance’s ECBs into my pile and some of them have actually scanned without any problem. I have no idea how to figure out if this will work though.

    • Janet

Does anyone know if there are scan machines at any of the Nashville area CVS’s? I keep seeing everyone talk about the machines but have never actually seen one.

      • Beth

I know right!!?? What about the Charleston area, I’ve never seen these?? Not fair, I want coupons!! LOL

      • kelli

The stores in my area just got them 2-3 weeks ago. Hopefully you’re stores will get them soon!

        • Beth

Thanks Kelli! I found one tonight and got $5 of $15 so I went ahead and used it!!

          • kelli

that’s awesome!!! I’d love to get one of those. I want to do the candy deal. my fiance really wants one of those huge reeses cups and if I’m going to spend $8 on candy, I might as well spend $15 and get $5 back. the $5/$15 would make the deal soo much better!

    • Joan

I tried to use the B1G1 Cover Girl coupon today for the CG lasting impressions deal and was told it wouldn’t work…that it had to be the same as what was pictured on the coupon. I didn’t want to press the issue since I wasn’t sure. Any suggestions?

      • kelli

I would just go back and do it. It works. Both my fiance and I did it with out any problem.

        • Joan

Thanks Kelli….I looked at the coupon and it didn’t state any particulars other than CG foundation. I’ll try it again…maybe I’ll have better luck next time.

          • kelli

            good luck!

    • Joan

Ooops….on the above comment, I meant to say the Cover Girl Simply Ageless foundation deal not the lasting impressions.

      • Beth

Hello Joan! I used the coupon and got the blush free! I was so excited. Then when I walked in I got a $5 of $15 purchase coupon out of the swipe/card machine. It was a pretty good shopping day for me. I would try somewhere else. Good Luck!!

        • Joan

Thanks Beth…I will try it again.
Please tell me what the swipe/card machine is….I don’t think I’ve seen one of those. I am new to couponing but am loving every minute of it!!!

          • Beth

I’ve only seen/used one in like 4 of the CVS’s I shop at and today I was at a store that was getting ready to install one too. I too am new at this and learn something new EVERYDAY!! They look like one of those barcode scanner/price checker things and what u do is when u come into the store u scan ur card and can get coupons or like $5 of $15 purchase I guess its random?? I got the $5 off $15 today and my mother-in-law scanned her CVS card right after me and only got a coupon for $1 off CVS paper towels or something!! LUCKY ME HUH. If you don’t see one just ask the cashier if they have one yet. Good Luck and happy savings!!

            • Janet

I live in Charleston. Which store(s) have the scan machines? What is that?

Thanks! Love the sight. Changed the way I shop!

            • Janet

Sorry, I didn’t read your post all the way to the bottom. I am getting ready to go to CVS to spend my expiring 6.99 ECB. I will look for the machine. :)

            • Beth

The store on 78 close to Charleston Southern University is the only one that I’ve seen with it. Then I went to the one closer to my house in Goose Creek by Big Lots and they are getting ready to install them!! Hope that helps.

      1 bottle of Scope Outlast – $3.49

        oops, ragu was 3/$5 :)

    • Rita

I had to tell you all what happened to me at CVS yesterday. I had a $5 off a $20 purchase coupon. I can’t remember which quiz I took or what I did to get it, but I had printed it off of the website somewhere and had been holding on to it. When I gave it to the cashier, he scanned it and it took off $10!!!!!! He acted clueless and said he’d never seen one do that before, but he said the register did it-not him, so he left it alone and I got $10 off instead of $5! I asked him if he was sure he wasn’t going to get in trouble for that and he said no, he’d just explain what happened to the manager. Yippeee!!!! I can always use an extra $5! I love CVS! I wish I had of know about all these deals when I WORKED there for 15 years!!! I could have also used my discount and REALLY got some great deals!!! Oh well-live and learn!

      • kelli

that happened to me too. I loved getting the extra $5 savings but I couldn’t use the ECBs that I’d been planning on using because my total after coupons ended up being $2.62 and I was planning on using $6.30 ECBs. Now Iv’e gotta figure out another deal for this week so that I can use the ECBs before they expire.

        • kelli

          *$6.50 ECBs

        • Beth

Kelli give them your $5 off coupons BEFORE you give them any other coupons.

          • kelli

I did give them the $5 off coupon first. The problem was that the $5 off took off $10. I’ve heard of a few other people having this “problem.” The only reason that that was a problem is that I had planned on using the $6.50 in ECBs to pay, they’re expiring this week, and I could only use $.50 since my total was $2.62.

          • Amy B.

I tried to use my $5/20 coupon and the register said it had already been redeemed 4 days earlier but I hadn’t been to CVS in weeks. Strange… because of that they accused me of copying coupons. :(

            • Joan

              Amy,

Same thing happened to me last week when I tried to use $4/$20. It was my first trip that week and when she scanned it she told me it had already been used that SAME day…I told her that was strange b/c I hadn’t even been in there in a week! Anyway, it made me feel like she thought I was trying to “pull” something. I took it in another CVS two days later and told the cashier (which happened to be the manager) what had happend…he scanned it and it showed the same thing but he overode it and said it was no problem. Really Weird though…they must be duplicating some of the bar codes numbers.

    • Jamey

The Cover Girl deal worked this time! (tried it last time and coupon beeped, they wouldn’t override). It beeped but just asking the cashier to enter the price for the blush.

      I got:
      covergirl foundation $13.00
      Covergirl blush $10.00
      Revlon Mineral foundation $13.99
      Revlon nail trimmer $2.99
Nursery water gallon (Needed some) $1.79

      Used:
      $5 off $30
$10 off (Free Blush wyb Foundation (covergirl))
      $1 off any Covergirl cosmetic
      $2 off revlon color cosmetic
      $1 off revlon tool

      Total: $25.61
      ECB returned: $17.00
So it made it $8.61 for all of that!! :) Would have been better but I didn’t have any ECB’s to redeem before that. Still a great deal.

    • Sarah

At my CVS the Glade candles had either a B1G1 free coupon or a $0.50 off one candle coupon on the candles, so I got two of the candles and the cashier rang up both coupons. This totaled 2.50 total for both candles and it still counted as $6 toward the $12 of glade products needed to get the ECB.

    • lynn

strange thing happened yesterday at my CVS…….I was doing the glade sense and spray deal–buying two of them and various other items to reach $30 b/c I had the $5/$30 from the Medicare quiz.
The cashier “helped” me by using the $2 off peelie that was on one of the glades. I did not see her do this, however, when she tried to scan the 5/30 it would not work, kept beeping. She was trying to manually put it through and it still would not work. This was the first time I had used the 5/30 so it was not because of that. She never could get it to go through–it kept saying bar code invalid. She ended up just taking $5 off the bill. Later (I was still in the store waiting on a prescription), she came up to me with the portion on the coupon that says “cannot be combined with any other coupon” highlighted in yellow. She said, “I just wanted you to know that the reason your coupon would not work is because you cannot use it when you use other coupons and I had already scanned the peelie.” I told her that I use them together all of the time. She replied that their computers had been reset last weekend with more strict coupon rules and that they were not going to take them when using coupons anymore. Anyone else hear this or have problems?? or did I just have a misinformed cashier???

      Thanks in advance!!

      • LD

I have not heard this but if it is so, ugg. That will be the end of a lot of my cvs deals . With not many free after ecbs anymore , not to be able to do the $ of a purchase will cut way into my shopping at cvs . so sad to even think . I am betting on a mis-informed cashier [or hoping anyways lol]

      • Cassia

Misinformed cashier. The coupon’s fine print actually says “This coupon cannot be combined with any other coupon that offers money off a certain purchase amount.” That last part is pretty crucial. :) In other words, you couldn’t use this 5/30 with one of the 5/20 or 3/15 coupons that are floating around. It is NOT saying that you can’t use any other coupon. You can definitely use both CVS item-specific coupons and manufacturer coupons with that.

Your 5/30 beeped because it appears someone at corporate messed up the quiz bar code generator and every coupon is printing with the same bar code. The register is beeping because the bar code has been used before and this was supposed to be a one-time use coupon. Well, one time per customer. It’s actually been a common problem for many people. That’s what was going on for you.

    • kathyctts

I got a good deal on the Star Trek movie today. I bought a $15 itunes gift card, which made the DVD ring up at 9.99. Then I had $4 off $20 and another $1 ECB. So it was $20.xx for both. So pleased, these are both great gifts. I wonder if $4/$20 coupons are normally allowed on gift card purchases?

    • Alysia

FYI – the PDF for $5 off $20 is not “print and use as many as you wish.” Only one can be used per CVS card regardless of how many you print. I’ve run into this problem twice.

    • kelli

I have ECBs expiring soon and my fiance REALLY wanted one of those world’s largest Reeses cups and they’re on sale this week, so I decided to work out a deal to get it for him for as little oop as I could. This is what I worked out and did this evening:

8 bags of Gold Emblem candy – 88 cents each
      1 world’s largest Reeses cup – $7.99
      2 Revlon Mascara – $7.49 each
      – $5/$30
      – (4) $1 off 2 Gold Emblem candy
      – (2) $2 off any Revlon color cosmetic
      – $3 off any Revlon color cosmetic (store coupon)
      – $13.99 ECBs
      Subtotal: $.02, Tax: $.63, Total: $.65, Total Saved: $32.87, ECBs earned: $12

      “cost:” $2.62
Way better deal then if I had just purchased the Reeses cups alone.

The $5/$30 had to be pushed through. I printed 2 today with different bar codes but neither of them would work.

      • Deb

        Kelli,
Where did you get the $1/2 gold emblem Qs?

        • kelli

the coupon machine. it’s been printing them every day I scan my card since sunday.

    • sara

The CVS I use is 2 minutes from my house…needed a Coke Zero, so headed up the street. Took my $8 ECB just in case. Hang tag on Coke 2 liter for .50 off a 20oz when you buy (2) 2 liters plus $1 ECB. Got it. At the refridgerated cokes saw a tearpad for $1 off 20oz when you buy a king size Hershey or Reeses (duh, chocolate goes great with a coke). The coupon was expired but register took it anyway. So…

      (5) 20oz coke products
      (2) 2 liter coke prducts
      (1) king size reeses cups

After the coupons I found in store and using my $8ECB’s I got out of there spending $3.50!!

Most would probably think it a waste to use on Cokes like that, but for me, it was a bargain!! LOL

    • LD

Ok I got an email from a friend last night with a deal to buy $25 in cvs e-card gift card that is used in store and get $5 extra . I saw this posted on iheartcvs today . I did it last night and had to call in before I got my email for the gift card as I had not purcashed through them before you do need to follow a certain link to see the offer . But after I called and registered with the service that handles this [for a lot of online stores [home depot, cvs ] I got then in my email with 5 min. You can buy for yourself and you can do it up to 150.00 if I remember right . I dont have enough $ to float that much lol. but wish I did as you can use for copays . yes !!

      • kelli

I’m considering doing this, even though it would probably take me quite some time to go through $150 (plus the extra $30) in gift cards for CVS. I don’t think I’ve spent that much since I started CVSing in May and I’ve gotten to the point where I spend mostly tax. My fiance told me not to do it though, I haven’t figured out why yet though.

        • kelli

I found out that he doesn’t want me to spent $150 on a gift card because he thinks that I’ll spend more/too much money in CVS. I told him that if I got the gift card it would be my goal to make it last as long as possible… I’m sure I could make it last for at least a year. I used to just do everything in one transaction. I’d buy whatever I had and use as many ECBs as I could, then just pay for the rest oop… now I work out my deals before going to the store and I usually don’t pay much more than tax. I think that it would be a good use of money. I may do it even though he doesn’t think I should. :)

    • pharmSCgirl

My boyfriend went tonight to CVS and bought a gallon of milk and a can of pringles and it came up to 3.99 and had a 4.00 ECB. The cashier wouldn’t adjust the ECB down to 3.99 and made him buy something else to use it. I’ve always been able to use my ECBs and lose a penny or two. What’s up with this? Are they not supposed to adjust the ECB down or was this cashier just unaware of how to work the register?
