    • Noelle

What is the limit for the Axe product? And is that a gift set or a multi-pack or something?
      Thanks!

    • Heidi

Do they use the total before or after coupons to qualify for the $5/$30?

      • Tina

Before, but you have to give $5/30 before you give your other Qs.

    • I had a first at CVS when I was buying clearance Halloween candy – I had a B3G1 free coupon that included Reese’s then I had 2 55 Cents off Reese’s coupons – the cash register blocked the 55 cents off coupons because the three bags I bought were counted in the B3G1 coupon, so it considered this stacking man q’s on the same item.

Now I am wondering if I will be able to combine a B1G1 coupon with and additional coupon, like $1/1 like I always have. This was not the cashier – she showed me how the pop-up screen on the register saying that I had more coupons than products.

Anybody else encounter this? It just happened, and I know I combined coupons with a B1G1 there within the past month so I think it’s new.

      • Elizabeth

I have always had an issue using a B1G1 coupon with other coupons at CVS. The last time I tried it was months ago, when there was a B1G1 on Pantene and a $2 off or something like that…I tried using both and the register wouldn’t allow it, for the same reason. That was the last time I tried, because I had been told “No” so many times before that that it seemed ridiculous to try anymore. Hope this helps!

        • Lisa

This happened to me too. The cashier said that I should always give the $money off q first and then the b1g1 or b3g1 coupon. Because it reads it differently. I tried it today on the softsoap and it worked.
          Good luck.

      • Kim C

Did you just have the 4 bags of candy ? Maybe they’ve changed it so that you have to have as many items as you do coupons. Since the B3G1 attached to all 4 bags if you’d added 2 filler items then maybe the register would’ve allowed the additional coupons. That’s how Walgreens is so CVS might’ve implemented it as well.

      • Shauna

I had a similar problem with an herbal essence deal a while back. I had a buy a shampoo get a styler free and -$1 styler. The register would not allow both coupons so I just used the b1g1. I had many other non coupon items so I don’t think the problem is with too many coupons in general, just too many coupons per item

I actually tried again at the same cvs for the glade deal and it worked just fine.

      • Tina

The same thing happened to me for the first time at CVS on the Glade deal last week. Too many Qs per item that the Q is for. The problem was not too many Q and getting more filler items would not solve it.

      • I’ve also given up on the deals where it suggests a B1G1 coupon WITH a $-Off coupon. I tried them on the Cover Girl deal awhile back when there was a Buy a Foundation, Get a Cosmetic Free coup and $1/1 CG product. The $1 beeped and said both CG items were included on the B1G1. Same thing on an Herbal Essence deal.

BUT… when I was buying cold meds last week, the pharmacist put in a $2 off Mucinex coupon she had, then was able to force through a $1 off Mucinex I’d brought so long as I had one extra item I hadn’t applied coupons to. So maybe it’s doable but at discretion…?

      • Deb

Walmart and Publix will allow you to do this. Just last week I had a coupon for 3.00 off any olay hand and body lotion, as well as a B1G1 on same product. It went through twice without any problem. I have also done this same kind of thing several times at Publix without fail. The way I look at it – it is certianly worth going to Walmart to utilize these scenarios – for example the Olay hand and body lotion I mentioned earlier were 4.97 each at Walmart and after coupons I got 4 bottles for 3.94. Less then 1.00 each. CVS only had the larger bottles for 9.99 each – so even if they would have honered the coupons the deal would have been no where near as good as Walmart’s.

    • Tanya

Anyone know what the price for the Garnier Nutrioniste skin care is?

      • LD

I know the cleansing wipes are 5.99 not sure about the other stuff. The web site may be able to get you in the ball park with prices

      • Sue

The flyer says “starting at 5.99”.

    • Christine

I cannot find the $5/2 John Frieda coupon, I have the $1off coupon. I checked both regional variation and regular insert list and I only see the $1.00 off. Are we sure it was in the 10/11 paper?

      • Carrie

Hmm, I don’t have it either ($5/2). Coupontom lists only the $1 off coupon from SS 10/11.

      • Kim C

I’ve searched online for this coupon and the only place that lists it is HotCouponWorld.com. I’ve looked through 10 coupon clipping services and no one has it. I’ve even looked it up on ebay and still can’t find it.

      • Me either; we didn’t even get the $1 coupon in Knoxville. None of my go-to sites for ordering extra inserts/coupons have it OR list it. Does any one know where the tearpad was? Seems that w/o the coupons this is an ok deal but not a moneymaker.

      • kelli

didn’t get either in southwest virginia. very disappointing. :(

        • Heather

The CVS in Canton, GA (Hwy 5) does not carry Rimmel. The John Freida items are on sale for 5 ea, but don’t give any ECB back. I learned the hard way and lost all my ECB. None printed at the end of the sale, so now I get to start all over. Very frustrating morning at CVS.

          • marina

Some stores don’t start they’re sales until late Sat. night and if it’s a 24hr CVS then the sale won’t start until Sunday.

            • Heather

They had already started the sales. They know me there and know why I come in. I called before I went to make sure the sale started and it has already changed over. The cashier checked the ad for last week, this week and the monthly one and it wasn’t in any of them. So, I felt awkward asking them to delete everything and spent my saved ECB from last week. Back to square one. Oh well. I guess I learned a lesson today.

          • Heather – Are they sure they don’t carry it? All of mine tend to carry at least part of the line, although it’s usually on moveable end displays in the makeup/perfume section, not along the big makeup wall.

            • Heather

Yes, when I asked, they seemed sure. He was a manager that helps me all the time. So, I hope he’s right! lol

          • Sharpie-Queen

            Heather,
If you really do not want the products, take your receipt and the products back and they will give you a “money card” which is essentially a merchandise credit. It is kind of a pain as they really never know how to do it or where the cards are, but you CAN get your money back for a future purchase! :)

            • Heather

THank you so much for the information, but I will keep them. I would feel bad doing that. I want to keep up the good graces with my CVS and try not to make too much fuss.

          • Heather,
I too tried to get the John Frieda deal today and was very sadly disappointed to find that I used up my ECB’s and did not get any in return at the end of the transaction. I was kinda leary that might happen though because I did not see the $5 ECB advertised in writing anywhere. : ( I cant offer you an answer but just wanted to let you know that I do feel your pain…so frustrating when things like this happen!

            • Bobbie

I did not get the ECB’s today on the John Frieda products and only had 2 $1.00 coupons. Then they couldn’t give me a refund because I had used some ECB’s to purchase it. Oh well, expensive shampoo.

            • Heather

I FINALLY found the John Freida deal. It’s in the red seasonal sales booklet. It is only for the Root Awakening product in the green bottle. Soooo, I did not get those in my purchase. Hope this helps someone else.

          • lisaallynn

Aaahhhg! I just lost all of my EB’s on the john fredia deal and no EB’s in return. What an expensive lesson! I have only my self to blame, I usually read all of the blog postings before I go shopping but not this time!

          • Deb

I would have had the order voided. I have done this if something doesn’t jibe correctly. It’s your money and you have a right to do this without feeling any shame.

        • Tinap

Here in Land O Lakes, Fl we did not get the $5.00 John Frieda coupon either!

          • We did not get the $5/2 John Frieda coupon either in the 10/11 SS. We only had $1 off 1 item. This is the AJC in Atlanta,GA.

    • Stacey

By the way, another blog is posting that although the Medicare $5/30 gives the appearance of working correctly, all coupons are printing with the same barcode (876000 594100) and are not working at the register so stores are not taking them. I printed two and got the same barcode also.

      source:iheartcvs

      • seacoastmom

I used the new $5/30 coupon yesterday and the register kept beeping. The cashier was so sweet, she said that she wanted to make sure she put them (CVS Q’s, regular Q’s & ECB’s) in the right way. I think she was new. She forced it through manually but I felt badly, she seemed a little flustered. I had a $4/20 but was hoping to use that another time. She also gave me a big CVS holiday catalog thingee that had a “Get $4 ECB’s when you spend $20” in it. It wasnt a $4/20 Q it was a $4 ECB deal. Never seen one like that before. It does say only one per customer so hopefully there’ll be plenty to go around :@)

I shop at the Summerville Dorch/Bacon’s Bridge store.

      • LD

Stacey, the one I have has a different Bar code than yours . So not all must have been printing the same to start with . I am glad I got mine right off lol now maybe I can get another one with this steady bar code .

        • LD

I just went and printed another one off my other computer and got a diffrent upc # than my first or the one you have posted . So must be something with just printing more than one each time you take the quiz [this was the same for the flu coupon too]

      • Ann

Mine would not scan either, but the very nice cashier forced it through. My $15 off Ice Age would not print either, but she just adjusted the price.

      • Esmelda

Mine printed out with a different bar code, but I had a very unpleasant experience at the CVS where I tried to use it (Gainesville, FL, corner of 24th and Tower Rd). I essentially got treated like I was a criminal who made illegal copies of internet coupons. The whole experience put me off enough that I have no intention of going back to that CVS again.

      • Heather

The medicare coupon beeped at the cahsier as “already been used” and I am certain it had not. The register gave her a date of the Q and everything. That date, I used the Q from the Flu shot quiz. I was embarassed, she called a gentleman that usually rings me up and he told her to pus it through anyway, thankfully. Still, I would have liked to have avoided that conversation.

        • Chon

I experienced this exact thing. The register beeped and the cashier told me I had already used it on November 4th. I’m like no way, if I had used it you would have kept it. He refused mine.

      • Michelle

I just checked my barcode on my $5 off $30 and it is exactly the same number so I’m sure it will say it has already been used. I’m not sure whether I’ll take a chance on being embarassed.

    • Susan

In transaction #2, don’t you need to purchase $20 worth of children’s cold/allergy? I only see one, and coupons for one.

      • Ashley

When you use your cvs card, it keeps track of the spending that you do. Look for “This weeks ECB’s offer:” on the bottom of your receipt. So she is buying $10 worth in the 2nd transaction, then $10 in the 3rd so she is still totaling $20 and she’ll get her ECB’s printed on the 3rd transaction.

        Did I confuse you?

        • Susan

          I see that now…lol :D

    • Does anyone know where I can find the $5 off $20 coupon? Thanks!

      • It was in a banner ad on Sunset Magazine’s website but supposedly it disappeared either yesterday or the day before.

      • I saw one on slickdeals.net, not sure if it’s legit but it’s there. I didn’t try to print this one.

    • LD

I have a question please. They have coffee b1g1f can I use 2 $1 off maxwell house coupons for 2 cans of coffee at cvs ?

      • Susan

CVS takes 2 coupons on B1G1 deals. :)

        • LD

          Thanks !

    • Ashley

I noticed that if I print the 5 off 20 from different computers there are different barcodes. Does anybody know if we can use the 5 off 20 more than once if there are different barcodes? Thanks!

      • Amanda

Yes, as long as the barcodes are different, they should work!

        • Sharpie-Queen

They will NOT work. I have already tried. I printed off a bunch as they do not expire until the end of the year. Unfortunately, even though the barcodes are different, the second one I tried to use had the little beep error, then she said, “It says that you already used this coupon on 11/6.” BUMMER! I thought I had hit the jackpot!

          • Amanda

            Mine worked! Hmmmm.

    • jeff

What is the Big Coupon Book that is being advertised on page 7?

      • LD

        The entertainment book.

    • Vanessa

Am I the only one confused by scenarios transaction #1??? If you used all the coupons listed and the $5 ECBs wouldn’t that make your total due $0 and you still get back $10 ECBs? Somebody please explain…

      • Rebecca

        That’s what I get, too.

    • Heather

Dimetapp, Robitussin will not print for me. I fill out the information and then it appears as though it is going to print, but it doesn’t. I printed other things, so there is not anything wrong with my printer. Does anyone have any advice?

    • ginger

Does anyone know how to get all the deal ideas and scenarios to print. I always select them but then all of them don’t show up when I go to print my list. Thanks

    • Rebecca

FYI – When you go to the drugstores for the great deals, MAKE SURE not to touch your face while you’re there, and WASH your hands ASAP after you leave. I got H1N1 before my kiddos (likely from my run to CVS on Halloween night). For that matter, be careful wherever you go this flu season while getting all of your deals. After a $130- Dr. visit, then $50- copay for Tamiflu, NOT such a great deal after all.

    • Sue K

Ok, I saw another coupon for the KY Yours+Mine very recently, not from May. Anyone know where it is?

      • Ken

I thought I saw one, also, but can’t find any now. Does anyone know of any other K-Y printable coupons, or recent inserts?

    • Honey

Hi, Jenny. I have a quick question. I am in Knoxville, TN. I bought John Frieda prodcuts expecting to get back extra bucks this evening at about 8:30pm. It did not give extra bucks. The cashier and I looked everywhere (shelf tags, monthly deal booklet, calling the manager etc) and could not find anywhere that it listed them as an ecb deal. I have had this happen before when using your list. Is it possible that there are regional differences? Thanks!

      • Heather

I am in Canton, GA and the exact thing happened to me too. The cashier checked the ad for last week, this week and the monthly one and it wasn’t in any of them. So, I felt awkward asking them to delete everything and spent my saved ECB from last week. Back to square one. Oh well. I guess I learned a lesson today.

The information on the John Frieda deal is in the season to save book they are giving out at CVS. It is on page #56. The event code is 1766008 and the limit is 3.

The is the book with the 4.00 ecb inside.

          • Honey

Thanks, Ginger, for all the specifics!

        • Honey

Rachel at surviving the stores has posted an update and says the John Frieda is not a monthly deal, but it is in the Holiday coupon catalogue valid from 11/1-12/25. I am going to look for it and maybe try again. I’ll take the book with me, though, if I find it in there.

        • Misty

I tried this John Frieda deal and didn’t get the $5 ECB’s. After looking on here, I realize it’s only through using a coupon found in the holiday book, and it seems as Jenny listed it earlier, that’s valid only with the Root Awakenings John Frieda product line- which I didn’t specifically buy. This was how she listed it as it read from the holiday book:

$5 ECB wyb $10 in Root Awakening products by John Frieda Limit 3

If I can find one of these holiday booklets in my store, I will return the products I bought, which will leave me with a gift card, buy the right ones with the proper coupons and the holiday coupon deal, and then should get my ECB’s. The question now is- can I find one of these booklets? Has anyone had any luck in getting one? Specifically in the Chattanooga area?

          • Heather

I have gotten 2 (one for each card I have). Unfortunately, I am not in TN. I am in Canton GA. HTH

    • I’m in Knoxville too and it sounds like the John Frieda ECB deal is not in our area. Here’s what I did:

      Bought:
      (1) EARinse – 7.99
      (1) Rimmel Mascara (w/ bonus pencil) – 6.49
      (1) John Frieda Styler – 5.00
      (1) Travel filler item – 0.49

      Used:
      $5 off $20 CVS coupon
      $2 off Rimmel Mascara
      $1 off John Frieda IP
      $10 ECB

      Total w/ tax: $3.91
      Get back: $11.99 ECB

There was nothing about the John Frieda on the bottom of my receipt and my cashier couldn’t find anything on it either. Oh, I went at 12:05am and my Rimmel also rang at $7.49 but she looked at the ad and fixed it; ECB popped right out though.

    • Heather

Is anyone else having issues w/ the $3 Claritin coupon? I noticed mine didn’t have a barcode after I printed it, but when I looked at the picture on the site, it didn’t have one either. There’s no address to mail it to, no numbers, no barcode, nothing.

      • Heather

I just figured it out. If you try to print by any other route than the lower right corner of the screen (where it says “print a coupon”), the barcode won’t appear and won’t print.

    • I went to my usual CVS this morning, doing two transactions, when my $5 off of $20 said it was already used. This is the only time I”ve ever gotten to have one of those coupons I found it here on the internet. How embarrassed was I, as I know I’ve never used one. Next transaction was for the John Frieda shampoo, which was supposed to be buy 2 get $5 back in CVS $. That too didn’t work. I guess I should check the ad twice, before doing my scenarios, as it wasn’t in our ad anyway in Florida, I was using the ones I found here.

    • Anyone needing an extra $1.50 off the Boiron Children’s oscillococcinum 6ct. $12–email me
I did a product test for them and I have several $1.50 off coupons to share

    • The Mentalist

I cant find $5 John Frieda coupons either. Neither do I see it advertised in my local circular. Do the deals have to be advertised for ECB for the week? Or it could be running all month and just grab it regardless of weekly advertisement? Thanks

    • Tinap

I did the Claritin deal with the coupons and it worked for me here in Land O Lakes Fl. My question is that it states limit one deal, but on my receipt it shows amount towards deal 20.00 needed for deal 20.00???? Can I do this deal again? * Normally, I see limit reached, but it does not state that on this receipt.

      • kelli

If it doesn’t say limit reached, you can probably do it again. Sometimes the system isn’t programed right and the limits are actually higher then advertised.

      • LD

I did the benadryl deal and it says the same thing 20. lol. Not sure that we can do it 20 more times. 20 was what we had to spend to get the deal . have a feeling this will get fixed soon .

    • kelli

I’ve been trying to spend extra bucks every week because I’ve got A LOT expiring at the end of the month and I didn’t want to get stuck having to buy a bunch of stuff that I didn’t need/want. So, this is the deal that I worked out.

      1 Earinse = $7.99
4 Gold Emblem Cashews = $4.99 each, BOGO
2 snack size Gold Emblem nuts = $.99 each
      – $5/$20
      – (3) $2 off any 2 Gold Emlem nuts
      – $7.99 ECBs
      Subtotal: $.96, Tax: $.13, Total: $1.09, Saved: $30.97, ECBs earned: $7.99

    • Misty

I tried the John Frieda deal and didn’t get the $5 ECB’s. If I can find one of these holiday booklets in my store, I will return the products I bought, which will leave me with a gift card for the value (since I used ECB’s to pay for the transaction), then buy the right ones with the proper coupons and the holiday coupon deal and the pay for it with the gift card, and then should get my ECB’s. The question now is- can I find one of these booklets? Has anyone had any luck in getting one? Specifically in the Chattanooga area?

      • kelli

They had them behind the counter at my store today. I was offered one, but my fiance wasn’t, not sure why. The only coupon in it is “Spent $20 get $4 ECBs.” The other deals in the book are just deals, no coupons for them.

The John Frieda page says “Root Awakening from the John Frieda Collection Improves hair health with natural eucalyptus. Prices starting at $6.99. Spent $10 on any Root Awakening products, get $5 Extra Bucks. Limit 3.”

        • Beth

I tried to do the Root Awakening deal today in Norcross, Ga and didn’t get the $5 ECB even though I bought the correct items. Since I didn’t have an add showing the ECB’s the cashier couldn’t help me? I don’t think I’ll try a deal that’s not in the add from now on!

          • Heather

I am right there with you on that one.

      • LD

Now I got an ECB today listed in Holiday book without useing the hoiday card . so not sure that you only get a reward from holdiay book when using the card. I got it for buying Cetaphil $2 back for each tube and they have it as a monthly clipless $1 off too and I had a $2 coupon and the $3 off 10 skin care too. I love my Cetaphil lotion .!!!!

        • pharmSCgirl

I used the holiday card ant I still didn’t get the John Frieda ECB deal. Not sure why it’s not printing even though I bought the right products.

    • $3 off any zyrtek product expires 12/31/09 combine with $5/20 plus ecb = great deal!

    • Kat

I bought the 2 John Freida products for $10 deal today, but did not get the $5 ECB! I’m sad! Did this happen to anyone else?

      • Teresa-QOCD

It has to be the root awakening. Return it and purchase the right one.

        • pharmSCgirl

I purchased 2 root awakening john frieda products and my reward did not print. It might be b/c the add in the christmas catalog says prices starting at $6.99, but I don’t see why that would matter.

          • kelli

If you have the christmas catalog, you should be able to show it to them and have them force it to print. Or you could call the number on your card and they can set your ECBs to print next time you buy something.

            • pharmSCgirl

Thanks I may give them a call instead of going back up there.

-$2 off Mucinex CVS $100 Flu Booklet (store coupon)

I tried using the $2. CVS flu booklet coupon tonight with my Children’s Mucinex and the cashier refused to use it because it didn’t say childrens and it said tablets. Bummer!!

    • Carrie

Question: If I bought a NOVA Max Glucose meter on Saturday Night (Nov. 7th), and my store had already activated the next weeks sales, will the NOVA Max count as purchased for the week ending or for this current week (8th-14th)? I know that the deal is one per card per week but I picked it up during the double activated sale.
Not sure if you can follow but I am hoping this makes sense…
Because I would like to purchase one more this week but I do not want to lose out my ECB if the limits been reached.

      • The Mentalist

That is a very good question. I like the deal because you get it free after full $10 ECB. I would think it would or should count as one for the week that “Sat” is in. Therefore, you should be able to get another one for the week starting Sunday. That makes logical sense to me. Nevertheless, you can always call customer care, they are nice and they will puch it thru for you if you did not get the “next week credit.”

    • Becky

I didn’t get the $5 John Freida coupon in my paper in Birmingham…but I had a heck of a day otherwise…Just wanted to share a Target deal from earlier today. Last week my paper had the Nivea BOGO lip care coupons and if you bought three lip cares, you got a Nivea body lotion for FREE. There were also $1 Nivea coupons. In addition, many Nivea lotions at my local Target, had peelies on them for FREE lip care if you purchased the product that the sticker was on (for me, it was on the lotion). AND, Nivea products are on sale this week. Here was my scenario: I purchased 2 Nivea body lotions @ $4.94 (regularly $5.94), both of which had peelies for free lip care. I also purchased 6 Nivea lip care products @ $3.14 each (on sale). I used two $1 Nivea coupons, two BOGO lip care coupons, the two peelies for two free lip cares, and two buy three lip care get a free body lotion coupons. My total with tax was just under $5 and I paid for it with the $5 gift card I received doing the Glade deal. For those not familiar, the Glade deal is buy any five HOLIDAY fragrance collection products and get a $5 Target gift card. I bought two Glade plug-in holiday scented oils (with bonus free warmer units) @ $2.50/each, two Glade warmer units @ $.97/each, and three holiday fragrance candle refill packs @ $2.50/each. I used two free warmer coupons, a $2/2 Glade fragrance collection coupon that was inside a candle holder I purchased a couple of weeks ago, a B2G1 candles refill coupon, and $1/2 scented oils coupon. It was $7 and I got the two extra warmer units in the bonus packs plus a $5 gift card. In a separate purchase I got 2 – 2 oz. soy candles (fragrance collection) for $2.99/each. Used B1G1 coupon plus a $2/2 fragrance collection coupon…$.99 for two nice candles. I am really stocked up on candles, but they are nice to stick in a gift basket or to put with a dinner for a sick friend. Also while I was there, found Brita pitchers/filters marked down on clearance for $6.48…used $5 coupon from Brita web site and snagged it for $1.48!! Good day at Target!!

      • Kristi

I also did the Glade deal. Thanks for the post about the Nivea deal. I’m going to go and do that one and use my $5.00 Glade gift card. Thanks

        • Kristi

I just got back from doing this deal and got everything for 2.98 plus tax. I used the exact coupons that she referred to, but I bought the kiss of moisture lip balm (2.49).

      • pharmSCgirl

Thank you for sharing the Nivea deal! My Nivea lip products were $2.49 each. I bought one lotion with the sticker on it and 3 lip products and was able to use the free lotion, 2 free lip product coupons (one from the sunday coupons and one from the lotion bottle) and the $1 off coupon and I’m pretty sure that it didn’t cost me anything b/c I bought something for $24.99 and my total was only $25 something. Oh, now I remember. The lotion was on sale for like 4 or 5 dollars and the cashier took off 7.99 which was the max on the coupon.

      • Jenny W.

Wow! I can’t wait to try the Nivea and Glade deals…esp. with the new Glade printables mentioned elsewhere in this site! Does anyone have any helpful hints about where to find clearanced Brita Pitchers/filters in most Target stores? Couldn’t find any in the Brita section…

Thanks for taking the time to type this up!

        • Becky

I found the Brita pitchers on a clearance endcap.

    • pharmSCgirl

I did not get the $5 ECB for the John Frieda but I’m going to take
them back tomorrow and see if they will work something out. Sorry
this is so long but I was kind of proud of myself.

      • pharmSCgirl

Sorry I only got a $3 ECB back for the hair color.

      • Bobbie

Think I will try to take my John Frieda back even after they would not give me a refund because I had used ECB’s to pay part of the purchase. I’ve got to start checking my ad more closely since they all seem to differ.

        • pharmSCgirl

I’m not sure why the $5 ECB didn’t print unless it’s b/c the John Frieda items are on sale. Someone mentioned earlier that you can call and tell them what happened and they can have it print next time you purchase something or we can try to take it back. Calling seems easier to me. I just don’t know who to call. Store or corporate?

          • kelli

Call the number on the back of your card. there will be an option for “questions about the extra care program” or something like that. every time I’ve called them, they’ve been very helpful. Just explain to them that you bought the items and that the sale is listed in the christmas catalog but that you didn’t get your ECBs. I’ve read on a bunch of websites that this has been a problem, so you can’t be the only person calling about it.

      • Teresa-QOCD

got to be root awakening kind!

      • The Mentalist

in your deal #1, I suppose you “paid 0.70 cents” in sales tax for $9.99 Glucose meter? That is what it sounds like. There is no tax on glucose meter. It is considered a medical “necessity” like Tylenol, food products etc. You must not be charged tax for this. If it is tax, you must dispute and get your refund and they should fix the problem. It is illegal to charge taxes on something where it is not. Unless, of course your state has a different definition for the glucose meter as “medical necessity”, I would like to know the state.

Also, it is coming a lot about using ECBs and getting refund. When you use manuf. Qs, you can still return the item and get store credit for the Qs value-That is because, retailers have already cashed the coupons and pocketed the money on your behalf. If they cant refund the money to the manuf., and cant giuve the Q back to you, they must credit you.

Same goes for ECBs. ECBs are actual money credit, the money you actually paid. So it is not something freebie-It is your money. In that case, CVS must issue refund for the coupon values. I have also confirmed tis logic and legit process with CVS and have saved their email to show if I get in problem with low-level clerks who do not understand the Q concepts.

    • lynn

just a thought……………….. please remeber to wash your hands or better yet use hand sanitizer whereever you go and keep your hands away from your face we handle a lot of coupons paper and other things suchas money that harbor germs for the flue or h1n1 please take the extra protectioin now to save yourself both time and money later happy couponing also wash phone door handles and toilet with acohol daily thanks

    • Kay

Hi Jenny! Just had to share this GREAT deal I just got at CVS on an 8 roll pack of Scotts paper towels. As you know they are on sale through Tuesday at $4.96 each. I had a $1 off coupon for 4 or more mega rolls. I asked the clerk to check to see if my coupon would work on the ones on display (they didn’t specify “mega rolls”). Well it worked! This made them $3.96 a roll. However, as I entered CVS I scanned my Extra Care Bucks card and got a coupon for $5 off of a $15 purchase. I bought 4 8-roll packs of paper towels and paid $2.71 each! WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!! My sister clued me in on your website and all your helps recently. I will admit, it took me several months to buy into how she was saving so much money. BOY oh Boy! I am hooked now! So, here’s a BIG SHOUT OUT TO YOU JENNY AND MY DEAR SWEET SISTER (WHO IS YOUR NUMBER ONE FAN) SHIRLEY! Thanks for helping me save the mega bucks!

      • Jenny

That’s a great deal. It only takes one trip like that and you are hooked for life, so no turning back now!

      • Teresa-QOCD

Where you gonna stack 32 paper towels? lol

        • Vanessa

She will probably do like me and have every closet and a two car garage full of stuff!!!! We can’t fit our cars in our garage anymore…it is my couponing haven away from husband and two year old. I have my computer, printer, all the stuff I buy, fully stocked fridge and all out here. I can’t wait till Christmas to give away stuff to local charities!!! I’m so glad I can finally afford to give away stuff to those less fortunate.

    • Sherri

Is anyone having any luck using any of the $5/$XX coupons? I tried to use three different coupons from three different sources today, and they were ALL rejected because the register identified them as already been used. I haven’t used any of them before! I think the “CVS coupon barcode generator person” must have made a MAJOR MISTAKE! I may just have to complain to their corporate offices about this one!

    • pharmSCgirl

I have so much shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, lotion, cleaning supplies, and glade items that I could open my own mini mart. It’s stuff that I always use so I don’t have to buy anymore for at least a year if I didn’t want to but I love shopping and being a frugal shopper at that. This is the best site by far and the amazing thing about it is it’s FREE. Thanks Jenny for all your hard work!!! Had I known about this site months ago I would have saved much more and I really hate that I have missed all of the classes in my area. Hopefully you will come back to Columbia or Spartanburg, SC soon.

      • My husband said we have so much cereal that he was checking with a local store to see if we could help them stock their shelves.

        • pharmSCgirl

Haha that’s so funny! We bought a bunch of cereal when Publix had the $4 off General Meals and then had it on sale too.

    • We have 4 children and my husband also said he couldn’d decide which child to leave his health supplements to in his will.

      • MelRae

Hahaha, Lynn H! That’s funny! Sounds like something my hubby would say. And I am sure you ladies know of shelters in your area that would appreciate your overflow…especially at Christmastime. No need to open a mini-mart! lol!

    • angie

I was not going to get anything from cvs this week but I did decide to stop in and scan my card to see what coupons print. I got a $5/$15 coupon. then rememberd i had a emerled $2/2 coupon that was about to expire so i bought 2@3.00 nuts and decided since the 5/15 coupon did expire in 3 days i also bought 2 of the axe gift sets @ 9.99 get $2 ecb bk for each so with the coupons i ended up paying $9.82 (i beleive that was the total) and got bk $4 ecb for the axe gift sets so it was $5.82 for 2 emerled nuts and 2 gift sets..my son and hubby best friend loves axe..2 gifts down and many more to go..lol.

      • kelli

        what a great deal, I didn’t even think about using the $2 off $10. I bought 4 cans on sunday, I could’ve saved $2! I don’t know why I didn’t think of that. :(

        • kelli

I just thought about this, if you buy 8 cans, you could use (2) $2 off $10 and (4) $2 off any 2 gold emblem nuts AND a $5/$20… and get it all for $3!

          • sarah

confused here -where did you get the gold emblem nuts coupons?

            • kelli

they come from the magic coupon machines inside CVS. I’ve had it print them every day I’ve scanned my card for the last week and a half.

    • kimP

I remember seeing a $25 gift card for new prescription at Rite-Aid in one of the coupon pages but I don’t recall where it is. Does anyone know where that is?

      thanks.

    • Jennifer

I haven’t read the posts, so I don’t know if this has been mentioned…The coupon machine printed $2 off $10 CVS Brand purchase, so I got…
      (2) AA 16ct CVS Batteries $9.99ea B1G1
piece of halloween clearance candy $0.06 (to make total over $20)
      – $2/$10 CVS brand purchase
      – $4 EB
used Q from seasons to save booklet to get $4 EB on $20 purchase
Total OOP $4.77 for 32 batteries with $4 EB remaining!
If you have more eb’s, you could do even better, but a great deal for me for that many batteries!

      • Carrie

I thought you couldn’t use any other type CVS coupon ($2/10 etc) when you use the $4 EB reward from the CVS Christmas catalog, atleast it says it right on the back of the card I punched out: “Voucher cannot be combined with any other CVS/Pharmacy coupons. Limit one voucher per customer.”

        Anyone know on this?

        • Jennifer

I didn’t even read the card…I picked up the book while I was in the store and just gave the card to the cashier with my other stuff and she didn’t say anything about it. My cousin was with me and did the exact same thing and it worked for her, and I went back the next day and did it again with my husband’s card. Good luck!

    • Brittany L.

Hey Jenny and all Couponers out there, Heres a Deal for ya, If you go to http://www.cvs.com and print the Glade Sense & Spray “cvs” coupon and Lasting Impressions “cvs” coupon, you can use their coupon and 1 manuf. coupon makes them both free! Also there is a $2.00 off 1 Nivea body wash Manuf. coupon! Happy Freebie

      • Jenny

Make sure these are really store coupons before stacking them. The last time I printed one it was really a manufacturer coupon. To tell what it is look at the barcode all CVS coupons start with 4 on the barcode.

        • Ashley

I looked at next weeks add on Iheartcvs.com and when you buy $12 worth of glade products you get back $4 ECB.. I am going to save them until then!

    • Brittany L.

Oh No! What a “Ball Buster”! Oh well I’ll try they can either say yes or no! Thanks Jenny for the heads up!

    • Kim

-$1 off John Freida Collection Product SS 10/11
-$3/2 John Frieda Collection Products tear pad

I just went and tried to get this at my local CVS. The ad does not include John Freida products in the $5 ECB wyb $10. It only includes Just For Me, Soft & Beautiful, Motions, Dr. Miracle’s or Organic Root products. I was very bummed when it didn’t work.

This is not advertised in the weekly ad, but instead in a Christmas season ad that is good through 12/25. If you did the deal and did not get the ECB’s call the corporate number and they will put the ECB’s on your card to print the next time you are in the store.

Ok, thanks!! I called and the guy told me that I have to wait 48 hours for it to print out in the store. Thanks so much for helping a newbie to couponing!!! :)
