CVS is looking a little better this week. There are numerous freebies and a few things that are not free but great prices.  I’m always happy when there is a Bayer Meter deal!  I think every household should have one for safe keeping, then after you have your one, as you continue to coupon give the rest to homeless shelters, medical missionaries, free clinics etc.
If you see anything else in the store please share!shoppinglist1

Remember to get and use your CVS Bag Tag for $1 ECb every 4th shopping trip!

This is not necessarily what I will do in the store, it is more an example to show folks that you really can use CVS to get most anything you need for pennies on the dollar!

Why do I put it in numerous transactions?
This is to reduce my out of pocket cost.  If you group this all together this would cost you up front $24.92 rather than the total $1.98 I spent.  Your goal is to break it into transactions that equal the ECB’s that you have in your hand.

Do they care about the many transactions?
Not if you are a nice shopper.  Get it all in your buggy at one time, go to the corner of the store and get your transactions ready.  Seperate items into groups and even put the right coupons with them so that you will be fast checking out.  As you check out if anyone gets behind you in line, finish the transaction you are on and step to the back of the line.

I personally think CVS has the best cashiers ever.  Most every one of them is out to help you and will cheer you on.  If they have no idea what you are doing, then they will ask at the end of it all “How did you do that??” and be eager to learn!

For the itunes gift card, anyone know if you need to buy 1 $50 or can I buy 2 $25 ones or any combination of $50?
      thanks! :)

      • Melanie

I have used this promo before to buy 2 3-packs of $10 gift cards and use for them as Birthday presents for nieces and nephews. Works great and keeps the per gift price down.

      • Kelly

I wasn’t sure how to start a new comment so I’m adding on to this one. I’m a newbie to the site but not to couponing or other sites that make lists of good deals. :-)

At CVS, when doing the Garnier Nutritioniste deal, look for freebies on a lot of the products! Many of the lotions and creams had free mascara or other makeup attached. I got a free mascara with my Garnier lotion, making this an even better deal!

    • Kim

Thanksgiving morning I did the various transactions you had showed us. The cashier was not only wonderful and helpful, she wanted to know where I got my printed qs. Then she saw your list and wanted to know how she could get one too. So I gave her the information about Southern Savers. Another customer was in line behind me, so I stepped back. The clerk then helped her roll her ECBs to get several free items! And I gave the woman a q for lotion that I was not going to able to use before it expired. She also took the info for Southern Savers. What a joy to pass it on and help other people. Thanks.

I was the 627th person to vote for Jenny. Please vote for Jenny on the right hand side of her site under go vote. This is the only time she has asked for anything from us. There is another site that has 900 votes. Jenny really wants this! Come on girls let’s show her how much we care!

      • Ruth

Thank you for the reminder Diana! I put off voting because I didn’t want to sign up for yet another site. Of course if there are coupons involved I don’t hesitate! Folks, Jenny has saved me an incredible amount of money and made it fun to shop again. Less worry over finances means a better relationship with my husband and family. Today is the last day to vote for her, please take a minute to do so. Seems like every computer used to print her fantastic shopping lists and coupons should be used to vote for Jenny!

      • Susan

Yes, thanks for the reminder, I just voted.

      • kelli

I just voted. 945 votes now!

        • angela

I voted today also. THis is my favorite website by far! Thanks Jenny!

      • Brenda

Is it too late to vote? I don’t see the option.

    • Bre

Thanks Jenny for your comments, I have to say that I have a cashier that I LOVE at my CVS, he’s so nice and yes he cheers me on. Everyone else in the store other cashiers and manager HATE me. I’m so polite always wait till there is no line, am very orgainzed so that I don’t take up to much time in line, and if my two kids are with me my daughter doesn’t even touch the candy! They act like I’m stealing and if my ECB don’t print and I ask they do give me a hard time, but even with the open hating I smile stay positive and try not to feel bad, since I’m saving my family a ton of money and in the back on my head I think I would’t get my Rx there or stop in for an unexpected item when needed so in the end they have one more loyal customer.

      • amy

Are you sure you werent in a Walgreens?? LOL If I were you I would try another CVS if you have one nearby. Usually CVS is awesome when it comes to us couponers. I really hate you had that experience. Walgreens … well, that is the hateful company and not sure why they are still open to tell you the truth.

        • Becky

There is one cashier who works in the make-up department of my Walgreen’s and I always try to go to her for checking out. She is awesome and always friendly. The rest are NOT so great, so Walgreen’s is not my drugstore of choice. I prefer CVS, but sometimes can’t resist some of the deals at Walgreen’s.

        • Lisa

The Walgreens I shop at are wonderful. The managers and associates are always willing to check in the back for any item that is out of stock and the cashiers are friendly to greet me and when they ring me up.

        • Actually it’s opposite for me! I have bad luck at CVS and LOVE my Walgreens! I hate that people are so negative about Walgreens. My advice is no matter where you’re shopping, if you have a negative experience, perhaps there’s a more coupon friendly store nearby. If not, Bre, you handle it exactly the way I do. :)

        • Bre

Amy-LOL! Yes I’m sure, I just keep my chin up and smile! The only place that like me is KROGER, crazy!

      • Melissa

I agree with Amy as your shopping experience at CVS seems to be like mine at Walgreen’s. I shop the CVS in the West Columbia, SC area (don’t know your area). They are always friendly. I called yesterday looking for the Zhu Zhu Hamsters and I was greeted and treated very friendly. Didn’t find any Hamsters, but was treated very polite. I think that CVS strives to have a good customer image. You may wish to bring their negativity to light.

        • Cori

Funny you should say that. I called today to see if they had of these left (bwahhaha) but the guy that answered the phone was so kind, he tried to give me hints about finding them in Wal-mart because he used to work there!

      • Rebekah

I don’t have this problem with CVS…I feel like this everywhere I shop that I am stealing when I use coupons. Like yesterday, I went to Bi-Lo in Cayce, SC. I used the coupons for progresso soups, daisy sour cream, carnation milk, mueller’s pasta, and ragu sauce (plus some carrots, mushrooms .98, and a pack of ranch dips). I saved $18 and some change…I only PAID = $12 and some change. The self check cashier had to get the manager to over ride the mueller’s coupon but they were all VERY NICE there. I just feel so guilty sometimes b/c it feels like they are starring me down and wanting to run after me like I have done something wrong & all I have done is saved myself from paying more than 2x for groceries. I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels this way.
Thanks for what you do JennY!

        • RM

I know what u mean but let me tell u this I was making a purchase at BILO and had several of the same item then used coupons for all of them the cashier was so very nice but the register beeped and she had to get the manager to come over so that she could enter all the coupons . I asked her why the coupons beeped and she told me that alot of the manufacturers were making it so they would beep after more than 2 or 3 coupons of the same thing.(Is it because they don”t want us to buy and use more than 2 or 3 coupons?) I don’t know. I wish I would have thought to ask. But the cashier and manager didn’t blink an eye and ran everything through no problem .

But I still don’t get it because when ever I shop at Pub lix the register NEVER beeps!

          • Rebekah

That was SUPER COOL! Yeah I would think regardless of how many coupons we use you would think that manufacturers would want us to buy more if we like their product. That manager was awesome not even to question it. I am always ahppy to shop the items and the amount of them that I have purchased so that the coupons will match up correctly. I think Bi-Lo knows that they will get reimbursed and as long as they have returning customers they have no problem keeping the great customer service atmosphere:)…

    • Kris

I have two CVS stores close to me. One store I hate and one I love. At one location there is a manager and an employee who will not take your $ off store coupon until they have scanned all your manufature coupons. They insist this is corp policy. Another CVS who’s manager is the best ever and laughs when I tell him how the one I hate tells me how they get in trouble for taking the $ store coupons before manufacture coupons. The employees really do make the store. The one I love just laughs at the other store and tells me to always come there because they will take good care of me and I really should call corp and tell them what a wonderful store they are.

      • kelli

It sounds like you live where I live. We’ve got one great store and one not so great store here. One store is great with coupons, there are 2-3 cashiers are are amazingly helpful and friendly and are always excited to see how much money I’ve saved and love watching me play the game. The cashiers at the other store (most of the time) act like I’m taking money from their pockets for every coupon they scan. They act like I’m breaking the rules somehow by paying for items that give ECBs with ECBs.

        • Katie

Me too!!! Durham, NC, by chance?

          • Katie B

UH OH. I was thinking about doing my CVS-ing at the Durham, NC store on 751 near Hope Valley. Is that the one you are referring to? (I sure hope not!)

I’m new and tried this CVSing first on Thanksgiving Day in Wilmington, NC, and the cashier was quite friendly!

            • Katie

              That’s the better one!! :-)

    • Tina

Thanks Jenny for the great post. Please forgive me my studipdity but can you tell me how to print the ‘complete’ solutions Q? I cannot see it anywhere when I open the page.

      Thanks

      • Abby

I cant find it either, and I looked EVERYWHERE one that site :(

      • Heather

I can’t find it either and I checked “hotcouponworld.com” and couldn’t find anything printable there, either. If y’all find a link, it would be appreciated! :0)

      • Michelle

I’m looking for the Complete coupon, too!

      • Anne

        I can’t find it either.

      • Annamarie

        I’m looking too. :)

      • Julie

Try this link for the Complete $2 off coupon http://www.completecomfort.ca/certificate.php

        • Melanie H.

          THANK YOU!!

        • Stacey

Thank you so much for the link.

        • Susan

Julie, the bar code does not look right. Have you used this coupon yet? and did it scan?

          • Julie

No I haven’t tried to use it yet, and now that you say that the bar code does look different.

            • LD

This is a CA [Canada] coupon not sure they can redeem it from the US. so if anyone knows if you can use a CA coupon in the US let us know . Thanks

          • Annamarie

Mine didn’t scan but it worked when she typed it in at CVS.

        • Thanks so much!

        • James

          THANKS!!!

        • Megan

Has anyone used this coupon yet?

          • Susan

CVS took this coupon today, I told the cashier the bar code looked different, but she took it.

            • debra

I don’t know if anyone else has used the complete eye solution printable coupon or not, but I tried to use it earlier and it wouldn’t scan. My coupon was legible, I asked the cashier if he could type it in and he said he couldn’t only the store coupons he said could be typed in, I still ended up buying it for the ECBs.

I still had a pretty good day, I ended up getting $39.00 worth of stuff for a total of $5.67 out of pocket and ended up with $4ECB for which I had started with.

    • LD

On the complete solution that is month long limit 1, is that limit one for the month or can we do it each week ? I got this on this last weeks deals can I do it for this weeks deal again ?

      • Tracie

Check you receipt, it should show “Offer Limit Reached”. The monthly deals are limit to one a month.

        • LD

I checked my receipt and it shows it was done on 11/28 and the limit was reached . But if this is a monthly one for Dec should I be able to do it for the month of Dec. too [the other one was bought on Nov 28th] ? Or did the one that is monthly start at the end of Nov ?

          • kelli

The monthly deal is different then the deal was last week. The monthly deal is buy it for $9.99, get $9.99. Last week it was on sale for $8.99, get $8.99.

            • LD

Thank you I did not even notice the diference when I checked !

    • Mel

Jenny, you are awesome. I am able to give lots of freebies to my brother in law, who is in Iraq! Your website has shown me how to do this.

    • Anne

Anybody know how much the American Express cards have to be (either individually or collectively)?

      • Carrie

I am wondering that too. It makes a difference if they are a set amount. Plus the ones from my local bank cost the buyer a $5 charge for a prepaid VISA credit card. I figure if we can set the amounts, use the ECB’s and such to the best advantage!

    • Stacey

Additional savings alert- Check the CRT machines in your store because i keep getting take $2 off $10 CVS brand purchase. The Merry Brite brand is a CVS brand for example. Also, Blade is another CVS brand and there were $2 off Blade coupons in the last Reinventing Beauty magazine. They expired on 11/30 but I’ve been told that the stores would still accept them.

      • Is Essence of Bath and Beauty a CVS brand? The limit is two, so you could put them together in the same transaction, use the 2 off 10, and have it be free. If this is a CVS brand, that would be great!

        • LD

Yes it is a CVs brand . I got the 2 off 10 cvs brand also at the Kiosk and a $1 off two cvs tissues . So I was thinking I can use the tissue to along with the 2 off 10. So then I can get 3 off 10.

    • Diana

Jenny posted this on Dec 1st. Let’s show her how much we appreciate her.

I’m not known for pleading or begging. So this isn’t that.

But… The Divine Caroline “Love This Site” voting ends this Friday 12/4 at 7pm ET.

You can vote for as many sites as you like, it will require that you register on their site to be able to vote.

Thanks secret person that nominated Southern Savers a few months ago!

    • Carrie

Jenny I agree with the best cashiers, I love CVS-ing and the one cashier that I love, I only go on her shifts. She is super smart and even helps add in the right ECBs (when I do my own scenerios) to get the subtotal down to nothing. There are 2 different amounts that they see on the register(item cost and after tax amount)and getting the right amount down is key to paying practically nothing.

      :) P.S. I voted for Jenny!!!

    • Michelle in Martinez

i got this message when trying to print the neosporin Q:
An illegal choice has been detected. Please contact the site administrator.
      So weird…

      • Jennifer

I got it to work by choosing Other under the type of Lip Product you currently use. Before that, it was giving me the same error message as you. Hope this helps!

Thanks Jennifer! I tried clicking “other” and it worked this time!

      • Angel in NC

I got the same thing and changed my salutation and it went through to the coupon page. HTH.

    • Michelle in Martinez

Are there any $5 off $25 CVS Qs available, or any money off Qs?

      • Sue

Have you checked your email? I got $3 off $15. My husband got $5 off $25. Expire Sunday.

        • LD

          I got a $5 off 30 . Wish I could get the 3 off $15 once in a while . heck $5 off 25 even but it is always $5 off 30 for me .

          • becca

Where in the CVS emails do you get $ off $ coupons? I get CVS.com emails all the time but i have never seen these coupons. thanks

          • Sue

5 off 30 worked great for the Gillette ECB deal. Paid 1.82 tax for 2 body washes, 2 deodarants, and a Fusion Razor special pack.

      • Amy

went in tonight and the machine printed a $10 of $30!!!

        • Carrie

About 2 or 3 weeks ago I got a $5 off $15, it was a rare coupon that had to be used within 3 days. I was so pumped!

Still hope for it every time I swipe my cards but no luck seeing it yet.

Also the $5 off $20 printable (from November I think) I used the last one last week and it took $10 off for some reason. The cashier was shocked but was happy for me. Can’t complain… just LOVE CVS!!!

ps LOVE you too Jenny, this site is the best!!! :D

    • Amy in SC

I’m having trouble getting the neosporin lip product coupon. It keeps telling me “illegal entry. contact site admin”. Is anyone else getting this? Thanks!!

      • laura

I kept getting that same response until I clicked yes on the agreeing to get there publications of deals.

        • Thanks! I was having the same problem. Your fix worked like a charm, not that I WANTED to receive all their junk mail, but small price to pay for a GREAT coupon!!!

    • Alisha

Has anyone on here been able to locate the $2.00 Complete coupons?

      • Catherine

No I want to ask the same question. I would like to print $2 q for the complete solution as well. Help!!!

    • Sarah S.

I am having the same problem with the neosporin lip product coupon.

    • sloan

That illegal message thing for neosporin I think means you have already signed up with that email address. I got that message, changed by email address and it worked fine. ( I think I printed a $3off Q for this the last time CVS had it $2.50 off.)

    • Crazy New Saver

This site and post are great. I’m about to CVS (didn’t know that could be a verb ;o)) for the first time. Are there any scenario calculators out there? I keep reconfiguring my scenario to get the best deal on the things I need and want to be sure.

I was going to buy 2 $25 gift cards before I caught on to this for Christmas anyway, but now I want the ECB’s. To be clear can I use bucks on the purchase of these?

      • ashley

No you cant buy gift cards with your ecb’s.

    • Joy

Wow!! Vote for Southern Savers!! Was third place and now in Second place and gaining votes!!! The contest ends tonight at 7pm. It only takes a minute to sign up. The link is at the top “Love Southern Savers??” Come On Everyone VOTE VOTE VOTE!!! The other sites were nominated last month so we are a month behind them. Show Jenny we can do this together and she can WIN this!!! This is the least we can do for all her hard work. Thanks Jenny!

    • Sue

Check your email! I got $3 off $15. My husband got $5 off $25. Expire Sunday.

    • Joy

      thanks for your lists!

I am trying to make mine out know but am getting confused on the best way to do it! what is the most transactions you have done at 1 time?

I am doing #’s 1,2,& 3 but then after that mine varies from yours and am trying to figure out the best way to use my ecb and not my own money:)

    • Joy

darn and it just came to me that I also have a cvs q I think it is $5 off $20 so now I must start over:)

    • Michelle

My sister and I went to the CVS on Lake Murray Blvd on Black Friday as CVS “virgins” as far as ECB’s and coupons. I was honest and told the cashier that I would need some help doing this. She walked me through the entire process and helped me find the best scenarios. She was so patient and nice and never made me feel rushed or dumb. I will go back there every time I go!!

      • Stacey

I shop there too when I’m on that side of town and I have no problems with any cashiers but there is a blonde lady (shift manager I think) that has given me problems almost every time. She doesn’t like to force thru anything if it beeps no matter how valid the coupons are. I don’t like being treated like a crook so I won’t shop there if I see her in the store. You’re right that the cashiers seem to go out of their way to help.

    • Natalya

I can’t locate the coupon for Complete too. Does it exist?

    • Annamarie

I got a $4 off $20 coupon in my email from CVS. If you don’t check your emails often, you may have one too. It expires on the 6th.

    • Kelly

Can you use the $ off coupons that sometimes print at the register along with ECB’s? I got a $10 off $30 last time I went and was wondering if I could use both! Thanks :)

      • Sue

Yes, $ off is different from ECBs. ECBs are used just like money, except you can’t get change back.

    • Angela

Do you know if CVS takes competitor coupons?

      • Amy

I was wondering the same thing????

        • Stacey

It varies by store or by district I should say. You’ll just have to ask your fav store. For example, I live in West Columbia and the 2 stores near my home do not accept them but the one near my employer in Columbia takes them because there is Rite Aid and Walgreens across the street from that store. Good luck!

    • kelli

southern savers is winning now! 1005 votes!!

    • SUSAN

Just put my vote in! you go Jenny! Your site is the best!

    • Michelle

Is it just me or does it dampen anyone else’s CVSing joy when you check out expecting to get everything for free and end up paying $5 in tax??? I guess it bothers me because I wouldn’t have bought the item if it were not ‘free’…

      • kelli

I know exactly how you feel… I’ve never paid $5 in tax but just the other day I spent $1.60 in tax for Gillette products (3 deodorant, 3 body wash). It made me a little sick that I had to pay that much, especially since I never would’ve bought the body wash, ever, if it hadn’t been free… but I know that my fiance will use the deodorant, and there’s probably no way I could’ve gotten even 1 stick for the $1.60 that I spent in tax. I try hard not to buy things that I would never buy unless I’m desperate to roll ECBs.

      • Ashley

So do you think there is a way to get the stuff free and escape the tax fiasco or is that just part of it?

        • sara

I have the same question about tax. This happens to me at publix too. I can end up paying more in tax than my subtotal. I have heard from the guy that bags groceries that they have owed people money before. How does this happen and how can i get in on that?!? :)

        • marina

I think the only way to do that is if you actually pay with your ECBs.

          • sara

Maybe it dependds on how the cashier uses the ECB’s. I paid with ECB’s the other night and was hoping to pay nothing, but the cashier said the ECB’s don’t cover tax. I didn’t know the policy so I couldn’t argue about it. I only paid .40 in tax though so not a big deal that time. But i would like to know how to pay NOTHING. Maybe it tax “laws” vary from state to state? I am in Alabama.

            • becca

my cvs says the same thing–ecbs will NOT cover the tax

            • Chris T.

This is correct…the tax laws do vary from state to state. Also, some of the ECBs go through now as CVS Manufacturer’s Coupons and some don’t. Manufacturer’s Coupons don’t reduce the taxable total, while store coupons do (in general). So, it would be hard to know in advance which ones will leave a tax liability.

            • Cynthia

It used to be that when I’d use the ECB’s to pay at CVS, it would in essence reduce the sale by the amount of the ECB and therefore reduce the sales tax. Recently tho, I noticed that it stopped doing that, and now I have to pay tax on the “freebies”. :(

      • Sue

I don’t mind paying the tax. The stores have to pay the state sales tax on every taxable item they sell. I do not believe that they should have to pay that for us. After all, we are the ones who have the mdse. If it is something that you are not going to use at all, then you should not buy it. I paid 1.82 tax for my Gillette deal and am very happy about it. Why would I complain when I have all this stuff? State sales taxes pay for a lot in our state and I do not mind doing my share. When Jenny puts in her scenarios “total due: 0”, I’m sure she means that she just pays tax.

        • Jennifer

It would be nice to get it free, but tax isn’t a big deal if you can use the item, or if you get something and pay the tax, but get way more extra bucks than the oop it is worth it. I can’t use the contour thing, but I’ll give it to someone, it was $1.35 oop for tax but gave me $5 eb’s and that helped reduce my total oop for my next transaction.

    • alla

Hi, i am new to this still learning .Do i have to spent $15 at cvs in order to use my ecb?

      • Chris T.

No. There is no minimum for using ECBs, but you will not receive any change from them if the value is more than the total.

    • Susan

Just watched the Nightly News, and Brian Williams had a story about a clinic in Denver that sends medical supplies to other countries. I immediately thought about the meter deal this week. I’m thinking about getting my fellow couponing friends together to send them some meters. My husband is an insulin dependent diabetic, so diabetic care is near & dear to my heart! I can’t remember the name of the group but there is a link to their website from the Nightly News website.

    • Christy

And don’t forget, if you bring in your own reusable bags and have them scan your green tag every transaction, you’d get another $1 ECB back for the 4 transaction scenario. I just keep my tag in my “CVS box,” as I call it (little index card box that I got for FREE at … you guessed it, CVS–that I have divided up for spots for my list, coupons pulled for current trip, ECBs, rainchecks, those CVS coupons that print off on the recipts, and now my green tag). That way, I don’t have to always bring in the same reusable bag, I can just bring in the first one I grab out of the trunk. The cashiers at my CVS (Main Street, Summerville–the one in town next to Arby’s) are always really nice about the coupon thing and will scan my green tag with each transaction even if we just end up throwing everything in the same reusable bag.

      • kelli

you’re lucky. the tag says “limit one use per day per household” and my store is very strict about that.

        • Christy

Hope they don’t start that at mine! Oh well, even if they do–I have already made back my initial purchase of the tag and I guess it is all just making ECBs from here on out even if they only let me scan it once in a trip–just will be accumulating more slowly!

          • Jennifer

I asked the cashier to scan mine for my second transaction today and the register beeped…oh well

    • hey my sister told me about this coupon good til sunday, 3.00 off a bag of candy she said she paid like 69 cents for it. can only print one. and have to use your card. http://offer.cvs.com/CouponServer/YH4TWCP/ORBOF/62K2E/183YEMJ/8A5LNJ/CPNUMBER=40326 not sure if any one has found it yet

      • Sue

This looks like one that was sent to someone’s email. I thought they were only valid for tht person’s card. Have you used it?

        • LD

this is the same kind I got in my email on the $5 off 30 coupon it was at the bottom of my email . I looked at this barcode and it is the same as mine . Mine does have my first name on it though when I printed . I dont always get a name on them though. So I imagine it will be one per card on this coupon or maybe even one per person who got the email ????

    • Lisa Merithew

Jenny, can we shop the 3 day sale early, tomorrow evening (saturday)? Or does it begin Sunday morning?

      • Jenny

The 3 day sale items will only start to print ECB’s on Sunday. Sorry.

    • Jess

For the clipless coupon for the Neosporin lip product, will it come off more than once if you buy more than one item?

      • kelli

it should come off for everyone that you buy, unless there’s a limit listed in the clipfree coupon book.

        • Jess

          Thanks!!

    • Christy

Has anyone ever tried buying gift cards when they offer these ECBs back on them? I tried buying some AmEx cards once when they were buy 2 and get back $5 ECB, thinking that I would just turn around and use them at Publix, gas station, whereever I would be spending money that weekend anyway andmake $5 ECB. When the cashier rang them in, I noticed that each card had a $5 fee attached to it, so I actually would not be making money–I’d be loosing $5 total so I had her cancel it. Don’t know if this was just for AmEx gift cards or all of the gift cards they sell–anyone know?

I have bought gift cards at Publix before for various places and was not charged a fee–so is this an AmEx gift card thing or a CVS gift card thing?

      • It is an AMEX gift card fee. They actually have reduced it recently, used to be more. Don’t blame you for walking away, I would have too.

    • Christy

The neosporin coupon is from brickscoupons so you can hit the back browser, then I got a webpage expired message, I hit refresh, then retry and was able to print 2 coupons–2 free lib products! :-)

    • Joy 2

I just wanted to mention that Cvs has a brand new red Christmas book called “Season to Love” behind the counter that has a 4.00 coupon in it. It gives 4.00 ECB extra cash back when you purchase 20.00 or more before coupons. A nice cashier told me about it last Saturday and applied it to my order with all my other coupons and other ECB’s I used.

      • Annamarie

I have a question, I have a scenerio worked out where I will be getting the craig MP3 player free (or close)…I’m wondering if I can throw that in and get the $4 after the rest…think it will work?

        • Sue

Should work fine. Thats when I used mine.

      • Sue

Ys this different from the red “Season To Save” books?

    • Joy

CVS has a new coupon in a red book that is behind the counter. It gives you 4.00 extra ECB when you purchase 20.00 or more. I used one on Sat the 28th.

    • sara

I just found 2 manuf coupons I have each for $1 off any 7oz or larger DeMet’s Turtles. Looks like they may have come out of a Parade insert. They don’t expire until 3-31-10. I saw a 2 pack of 14oz are on sale in the ad for $5.99. That would make them a pretty good deal i think.

    • Annamarie

well i have to say now that i quite possibly have the nicest patient(est) cvs employees working at my store…i FORGOT the santa hats and ornaments were at 3 day deal and went today while I was out. Got the diabetes meter and then turned the $5ECB’s into the first deal. When the ECBs didn’t print we figured out why…duh! Rather than do a refund and try to find my ECB and fix that, they decided to just roll the deal like it was Sunday. I was so embarrased yet thankful they weren’t very busy at the moment!!!

    • Jennifer

      Just got home from CVS…
      #1 Bayer contour meter 14.99
      -$14.99 MQ
Total: $1.35 (tax) $5 EB back

      #2 (2) Snuggies $14.99 each
      -$4 EB & $5 EB
Used family and friends 30% off
Used Seasons to save $4 EB on $20 purchase
Total $13.87 oop with $4 EB back

My total oop for 2 snuggies and 1 contour meter was $15.22, started with $4 EB and ended with $4 EB! For the price of 1 snuggie!

    • Macie

Just for anyone interested in (or needing) Revlon makeup. There are 3 really great coupons in the People magazine this week. A $4 off any ColorStay Foundation, Powder, Blush or Concealer. Another one for $2 off any Revlon eye product. And another one for $2 off any Revlon lip product.

    • audrey williams

one question that i didnt see in the faq’s re: cvs guide. after youve recieved the ECB’s, can you then use it for anything in the store(other than milk, alcohol and tobacco that is) or are you limited to what you can buy with them?

      • The Mentalist

To my understanding, they can be used for anything just as you would use cash. I have used them for milk. Not sure, if there are any restrictions at all, anyone?

      • Jennifer

cant use for alcohol or RX

    • Ruth

FYI on the Bayer meter – my CVS took the full $30 off even though it only cost $15! I gave her my coupons and she said I had to spend another $13 because I was negative. I tried to explain the coupon is up to $30 depending on price of product, but she was insistent so I thanked her and bought more diapers! I’m wondering if she scanned the coupon before my CVS card?

      • kelli

holy cow, that’s amazing!!! how come stuff like that never happens to me?

      • Annamarie

WOW! That employee needs coupon training. The Q clearly states “Up to $30 off”!

      • The Mentalist

However, CVS will probably not lose any money because manuf. will reimburse them for full $30. I do not think they have time or resources to match the “up to” with each and every sale. Neither do they have a “blank” on these particular coupons where they have to write the item value used, like those on “Free” coupons. Most likely, the coupons will slip through for full $30 reimbursement even if customers get half the value.

      • stephanie

That happened to me last night too. But they said I couldnt use any other coupons since my total was at 34.51 minus the 30. I knew my total would be lower if I had them type the 14.99 in so i told them what to do and my subtotal ended up being .50

    • muna

bayer meter deal started today ? or 12\69

    • Susan

There’s a $2 off any Zantac printable coupon here: http://www.zantacotc.com/offers/OffersController.jpf

    • Nick

When do these deals go into effect? Midnight?

      Thanks!

    • stephanie

I went last night to cvs and got the contour, 2 shine n spray by swiffer, swiffer clothes and 2 febreeze sprays. My subtotal was .50 and then they added tax. $2.56 that tax will kill ya. Anyways my receipt said i saved $100, since the contour normally is 65. I love saving plus I got 10 ecb back. My house is gonna smell great!

    • Alisha

Do you earn ECB’s online for in-store items that are listed to give you the ECBS? For example, when you purchase 2 HP ink cartridges you get back $10 in ECBs. CVS is running a 30% off for Family and Friends. If I were to purchase 2 HP ink cartridges at 30% off would I still earn the $10 ECB’s?

      • LD

Nope , no ecb for online [gettting or useing] . The employees did get a card for the friends and fam. sale they can hand out it is for instore . So if you are friends or a cashier really likes you , I was not lucky enough, but others have been. lol

    • D

just for the record, most CVS’ will turn over the sales and have both the previous weeks sales and the upcoming week (saturday’s sales) on Fri night at 6:00 PM. That is the way my store does it, at least.

      • Carrie

enjoy your store, there are two CVS’s in town here and each one is polar opposite of when the sale starts, so I choose the friendlier one

    • kelli

I went to CVS this morning and actually found everything that I was planning on buying. I think I was the first one in the store, so I guess I had to best chance to get everything. I bought:

      1 Emergen-C = $3.99
      1 Zantac 150 = $8.99
      1 Reese’s Cups = $2.50
2 Essence of Bath & Body lotion = $4.99 each
2 Merry Brite Santa Hats = $3.99 each
2 Merry Brite mini ornaments = $1.99 each
      – $5/$30 from medicare quiz
      – $2 off Zantac
      – $2.50 off Hershey’s or Reese’s holiday packaged candy
      – (2) $2/$10 CVS brand products
      – $23.87 ECBs ($8.99, $8.29, $4, $1.59, $1)
      Subtotal: $.05, Tax: $1.16, Total: $1.21, Total Saved: $42.86, ECBs Earned: $32.92

      • Maryse

        Kelli,
I’m curious, the Merry Brite products qualify for the $2/$10 CVS brand products but what you purchased (2 Merry Brite Santa Hats = $3.99 each
2 Merry Brite mini ornaments = $1.99 each) did not add up to enough to use (2) $2/$10 CVS brand products. How did you manage that?

        • meg

Essence of Bath and Body is a CVS brand too-

    • kelli

      Also, I forgot to mention…

I don’t know if this has been said anywhere else, but there seem to be problems with the ECBs that have printed out recently, for the Black Friday sales in particular, If you check your account online, they will most likely not all be there. I tried using quite a few from Thanksgiving day Today and they beeped. I was lucky enough to have them just push them through for me but I’m guessing that some people will not be this lucky. Neither the cashier or the manager had any idea why it was that they aren’t working but the manager did say that he had the same thing happen to him yesterday when he was trying to use some of his ECBs.

      • LD

yes and if you look online in your acct lots of ecb’s are missing there too uggg. So glad I used all mine up the day I got them and started with 0 today . Someone screwed up big time in programing .

        • Sue

How do you check your ecbs online?

      • kim

This happened to me as well. I called the 800 no. and after about a 30 minute call they eventually told me the missing EBs would print in 48 hours on my next receipt. I hope they are right.

    • Pamela

Heads up- no more available prints on the Neosporin :-(

    • ashley

No KY coupon in Greenville Newspaper

    • Carrie

I printed off the Revlon coupons, but it took me to Target’s website to do so. Will CVS honor competitor coupons such as Target?

    • Christine

I started collecting the inserts about 11/1, and didn’t have the Oct ones at all. A few weeks ago, my mom had an old paper in her house so I swiped the inserts lol and come to find out, it’s the 10/25 ones, so I have the $30 off the meter. I have 2 people in my family who are diabetics, so that would be awesome if I could give it to one of them (if they need it!) and if not, I’m totally going to donate it. Any suggestions on where I can bring it? I know there is a St Vincent De Paul and Salvation Army shelter, but that’s it… I’m really excited about being able to get it for free and giving it to someone who really needs it! :)

I had a great morning at CVS I did 4 transactions paid 2.02 out of pocket tax and left with 14.00 ecb [started with none] I love getting paid to buy things. I never do good with cvs but starting with no ECB’s seemed to help lol.
      I Got
      4 Nestle creamers
      1 contour meter
      1 Vaseline infusion lotion
      1 ultra clear degree deoderant
      1 package of coffee filters
      1 Hershey kiss holdiay bag
      1 complete contact lens solution
      2 santa hats
      2 ornament pkg.
      1 box of xantac
      1 lighter

forgot about the most important thing

2 8 roll packs of scott TP

        • Carrie

I love those kinds of deals. It makes the shopping trip worth all the work! :)

      • Jennifer

        How did you do it?

    • Melissa

If you look on page 110 of this week’s People magazine (the one w/Tiger Woods on the front) there is a $4.00 off any Revlon Colorstay Foundation, powder, blush or concealer product. This would be great to use with the CVS Revlon ECB’s deal.

      • Melissa

The Revlon $2.00 Eye product coupon is on page 115 and the Revlon $2.00 Lip Product is pag 117….so a total of $8.00 in Q’s.

    • Melissa

Also, thanks Jenny for your website, I voted for you on 12/4, hope you win!

    • Jenn

I bought the Loreal EverPure shampoo deal this morning and my ECB did not print. The cashier was super nice about it and forced them for me, but just a heads up.

    • Meme

      Hi!

Just a note to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for all of your tireless effort and work.

My DD has a life-threatening illness and you have NO idea how much your site helps me to save $$ which frees up $$ for medical costs.

God bless you for your very important work!

    • ashley

FYI No more Neosporin Lip at Simpsonville CVS :(.

    • The Mentalist

Does anyone know where the coupon link on the page is on $2 Complete Solution printable? I do not see any option for coupon on that website. Thx

    • Chelsea Marie

      Hey,

Will someone fill me in on how to print multiple coupons through target’s site? I have been trying to print off eight of the $1 coupons for Revlon products, but it will not let me.

      Thanks!

      • LD

From what I understand this new target system for printing coupons will not let you print multiples . ugg I dont like it . I like the old one better .

    • Sara B

I was able to get the Bayer meter, and only pay $1 something in tax. I tried to do the exact scenarios, but they didn’t have the ornaments for $1.99, so I got 2 santa hats, some stickers and the huggies. I ended up paying $1.99 more for the huggies because I didn’t have the $1.99 ECB from the ornaments, but still, for the meter, stickers, 2 hats and huuggies, I paid $5.00. I was able to find a friend who was in need of a meter, so I’m sending it to her tomorrow. At least I feel good that I could do something for someone else who was in need. Plus, I’m sending her the coupon for up to $20.00 off the Bayer test strips!

    • Lisa

If you buy 2 of the santa hats at once will 2 of the $3.99 ECB print out or do you have to buy them one at a time?

      • D

one at a time… it will print out an ECB for 7.98 otherwise.

    • Tausha

Anyone in the North Pinellas/Pasco area of FL that is diabetic or need meters? I have a few and figured I check here for loyal followers first.

    • Will CVS honor coupons from other stores?

      • kelli

I’m pretty sure that most of them will not take competitors coupons. I have seen a few people mentioning that their stores will though. Just ask.

    • Heather Dixey

How can I find out what the month long deals are? Is there a special flyer for them?

      • kelli

a lot of them are in the clip free coupon book, most stores have these with the weekly sale papers. I’m not sure if there are other monthly deals.

    • There is a 2.00 coupon at http://www.zantacotc.com

    • Annamarie

I got the Craig mp3/video player yesterday for 77cents yesterday…this is how.
Contour monitor (1.72 oop for this)
santa hat and ornaments (2 transactions, paid tax on the first one and the second was free and I kept these)
Then I bought the Complete using the $2 coupon. This cost me @$8.00 oop but I use it and decided to go ahead with the expense and see how low I could get my oop on the mp3.
I took the $9.99, the 1.99 and 3.99, paired it with the $4 off $20 from my email and then I used the coupon from the gift book and walked away with $4 ECB’s. WOO HOO :)

    • Tina

I don’t get this, my CVS ad says the Accu-chek meter is on sale. My coupon is for Bayer. Will it work?

      • Stephanie B.

Both are on sale, but only the Bayer meter gets the ECB’s. Look at page 23 of the ad – that’s where the Bayer meter is advertised.

    • Laurie

Just a note for the person in Portland, TN, please stop buying the Bayer Meters. I was in the store and they were all out. The cashier was not to happy that you have so many. I am sure you are giving them to charity, however, we don’t want to get the store mad at us “SAVERS”. Thanks in advance.

Jenny – I love this website!!! Thanks so much for all your hard work!!

    • Joyelle

Just went to CVS and the cashier couldn’t take my $30 off coupon for the Bayer Contour Meter…she got the manager and he said no that they can’t just take off the 14 dollars and whatever cents because when they send the coupon to the manf. they are reimbursed $30 and that puts them in a position of fraud toward the manf. Anyway, so I didn’t get that deal. :o( but I did get a $5 off $15.00 coupon when I scanned my card in the little machine thing.

      • kelli

I had a similar issue at Walmart last night. I had a coupon that was “save up to $4 on wyb any 2.” There are all kinds of drama about the coupon. The last time I used the same exact coupon they adjusted it down and wrote on it, even though there wasn’t a place to write on it, because it said “up to” on it. Last night they told me that they were unable to take it because I was only buying $3.96 worth of items and they couldn’t adjust it down because the cashier’s drawer would come up short 4 cents for each of the 3 coupons. I was literally at the register for 30 minutes because the cashier didn’t have any idea what she was doing with coupons.

      • Tracie

CVS should take this $30 coupon, even though the meter is only $14.99. The coupon states “Save up to $30” and if the price is $14.99, then you save up to $14.99. There is a box on the coupon for the cashier to input the value of the coupon. I’m guessing they wouldn’t take it because it beeped when they scanned it, due to the discrepancy in price. You need to get them to take this coupon, it is not coupon fraud, just coupon laziness on CVS’s part.

        • Joyelle

I think I will go to another CVS and see what happens. Couponing definately saves money, but at times it seems like lots of work.

          • Joyelle

Went to another CVS today and got my contour meter without any problem!! Yeah, also got Huggies diapers and a bag of candy and a green tag thing for using a reusable bag and the whole trip only cost $1.08….wonderful shopping trip!

    • heather

Just a note…have a friend who works for CVS and told me about this deal. Olay body wash is on sale for 5.99. There was a q in last Sundays PG coupons for buy 1 olay body wash, get a lotion free. The lotion is 9.99, so saved $10. Works well if you have extra ECB’s.

      • kelli

great find. if you have 2 coupons and a $5/$30 from the medicare quiz… it would only be $6.98 plus tax for it all!

        • kelli

I did this deal today. I bought 2 lotions and 2 body washes. I got body wash that’s regularly priced $8.99. I used a $5/$30 coupon and 2 “free lotion wyb body wash” coupons. I paid with $6.99 in ECBs and $1.34 for tax. This was a great way to burn some of the extra bucks that I’ve been worried about figuring out how to roll.

      • Bridget

        Heather,

thanks for the heads up, however, when I went to do the deal just once (they only had 1 lotion left) the register WOULD NOT TAKE the 9.99 off for the free lotion. Cashier tried it twice. First time she took the 5.99 off for the body wash. I left the stuff at the register. Not mad, just disappointed because I was all psyched about using my 5/30 and getting a great deal. I may try another store later today.

      • Rebekah

is this sale still going on in the west columbia/cayce, sc area?

    • Melissa Y

Jenny, thanks for putting up the information in the scenario…I now understand how to get the most out of my money at CVS. I had Hubby go with me today so we could each get a Bayer meter and a pack of Huggies. Walked out with oop expenses of $2.06 each, for the Huggies (had a save $2 on one package from an IP last month), didn’t get charged tax on the meter. I am pretty sure I couldn’t have gotten the daipers much cheaper and with a 2 year old and a newborn I need all the help I can get on getting cheap diapers. Thanks for all you do for all of your loyal followers!

    • Michelle

Love CVS! I started with $10.48 ECB and left with 16.96 ECB

Transaction 1: Bayer Contour Meter 14.99-14.99= $.90 OOP after tax, get $5 ECB
      Transaction 2: Complete Multi Purpose Contact Solution 9.99- $1 coupon= 8.99-8.89 ECB= .70 OOP after tax, got 9.99 ECB
      Transaction 3: 2 Mini Ornaments (3.98), 2 Santa Hats (7.98)= 11.96-11.58 ECB= 1.10 OOP after tax, got 11.96 ECB

      • Susie

        I can’t find the $1 coupon. Help!

        • Michelle

I had it from the 10/25 Red Plum. I couldn’t find it on the website.

    • Shannon

Where did you find information about the Neosporin clip free coupon. I had printed the $3 off coupon but my store in Charlottesville, Virginia still had them ringing up at $5.29 (full price) Thanks!

      • sara

There are usually ClipFree booklets in the front of the store where the wqeekly ads are kept. It is listed in there.

I have not been able to find the product in the stores. The one near my house does not carry it and another one only had one hook for them and were out. :(

      • kelli

when they had the $2.50 clip free coupon the last time, neither of the stores in my area had them marked, but they were still $2.50 off. I would just price check them, if you can find them in the store.

    • Susie

The coupon for the Bayer meter says you need a prescription. Is that true?

      • Melissa

did you find out if you need a prescription for the bayer meter?

        • Jenny

You do not need a prescription for it.

          • Jenny,
Can you tell me where to find the Bayer meter coupon? I must be overlooking it? I went to my CVS last night and they would not take the coupon since I do not have a prescription because that was printed on the coupon.
Thanks so much!! LOVE YOUR SITE!
            Susie

            • M Rose

I’ve done the Bayer deal a gazillion times and NEVER had to have a prescription. I would try another store. I donate mine or give them to friends with diabetes!!

    • Misty

Didn’t get the KY Q in the B’ham news. I was wondering if anyone had an extra one they would be willing to part with? It would be greatly appreciated!

    • Melissa

purchased the HP cartridges (had to have them and they were only a few bucks more at CVS and then i got the ecb, so it was worth it), but anyway, i received the $10 ecb and then also a $5 off $15 purchase coupon good for the next 3 days!

    • Melissa

do you need a prescription for the bayer meter?

      • Tina

        nope. ;-)

    • Heather

In the box for the Bayer meter there was a mail in rebate. Can I send that in and get 14.99 back even though I used a coupon and got it free?

      • M Rose

That has never worked for me when the price was free:( sorry!

    • Sue

      Jenny,

Your website is awesome! I have always find CVS prices higher than other stores but I am definitely shopping there using your tips. I hope the methods also work in the northeast CVS stores.

    • Damien Barber

I got the Essence of Beauty stuff today because I saw the sign up (did not realize it was a 3 day sale) and the ECBs did not ring up and I said the sign said there was $4 ECB for each (limit 2) and she gave me the ECBs. I did not mean to cheat the company, but hey they should have taken down the signs if the deal was not on… I only bought them because the sign enticed me because they were only .99 after ECB.

      • kelli

If the signs were still up, I don’t think that you were cheating them. They should’ve taken the signs down on Tuesday night.

        • Damien Barber

Yeah, that is kinda how I feel too, but I still feel a little bad that their mistake resulted in my profit.

    • Monica

Where are the CVS $5 off $25 orders? I am missing them.

    • Rebekah

what do you do with the meters?

    • Sue

Here’s an extra treat to go along with the Olay deal listed in the comments above. I just received in my email a rebate form for the lotion. Since it will be rung up on the register and then the “free” coupon deducted along with other Q’s, you will have a receipt with the purchase price to submit for the rebate. Good deal, free coupon and rebate! Here’s the link for the form.
