Here are the deals in the CVS Weekly Ad starting 2/14. It’s a pretty good week at CVS in my opinion, lots of free deals and many others under $1. I made a scenario plan that requires no ECB’s to get started, use this as a guide for starting your own plan.

If you see any deals, leave a comment and I’ll update the main list.shoppinglist1

Thank you for all you do.

There is a Magic Coupon Machine coupon out for $3 off Glade Fragrance collection. =D

      • Faye

where do you find the Magic Coupon Machine?

        • Susan

Red price-checking/coupon machines found in many CVS stores. You scan your card, and it prints out coupons. You can also price-check on it. We've had them here in Atlanta for a LONG time, but my sister just got one in her store in NC, so you may not have one yet.

      • Lori

I know! It printed one for me last week!

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

This $3 coupon is for Glade “Fragrance Collection” 10oz or larger which are usually more expensive than just Glade jars. I believe the deal is for regular Glade jars whyich coupons are $2 or $3 on 2. So this coupon may not be for the deal you have in mind. You can find these coupons side by side in 2/7 SS

        • lindseybee06

It is included. I double and triple checked. =D Which is fantastic since my last free one just burnt out.

The price checkers are getting updated/added. They are located near the center aisle. Most new ones have a ginormous sign above them. Just swipe your card under it and your coupons will print out the side. Scan until it prints the 2 generic CVS brad coupons. This week was $1 off skin care and $1 off 2 tissues.

        • sixsigmamom

The HUGE glade candles were normally $9.99 but marked down to $6 and were part of the ECB deal! Woo hoo!

    • LizCochran

My Crest Rinse coupon from 2-7 is for $2/1, not $1/2

      • Michelle

My Crest Rinse coupon is $2/1 also, which makes it a $4 money maker if you buy two bottles!

        • Erin

This $2/1 q states that the rinse “MUST be 440 ml or larger” The ECB's are for the 14.8 oz. Crest Pro Enamel. 14.8 oz = 437 (approx) ml – so CVS will NOT be reimbursed for this q IF P&G gets picky. Just an FYI.

          • sgesselrn

Actually the bottle I bought today says 440ml (14.8 oz) just fyi

            • Thuy

My bottle is also listed a 440 ml.

    • lindseybee06

Also, you can do a fifth transaction and get another Crest product. It is limit two. Using the $3.50 ECB from Trans 4, it would be free!

    • Lisa

At my CVS you can't get a ECB in a second transaction if you are paying for all or part of your purchase with an ECB. Is this common?

      • mollie456

        no

      • hrichards

no,you should be getting ur ECBs whether you pay in check/cash/charge or u use ECBs,

        • Lisa

Thanks. I guess I need to talk to the store manager.

    • TraciM

I tried CVS last week and did 2 small transactions; but in the end no extra CVS bucks to roll to this week. I'm pretty sure I went over some limit that was store set, and after reading all your comments (and the flyer), there was a limit. I'm trying it again this week – it was neat to 'roll' money. Thanks for all of your hard work !

    • valmiller

Can someone tell me how the Sobe Lifewater works with the B1F1 deal?

      • When the store says “Buy 1 Get 1 Free”, THEY are giving you 1 free. Using your BOGO coupon means the manufacturer is paying for the other, leaving you with only any tax that your state/city adds. I find that most sales clerks don't grasp this concept and think they can't give you something for free, but when a CS or mgr. is asked they always approve it because it is valid.

        • SCC2

My clerk tonight at CVS would not let me do this. So I should go back and ask for a manager or could the store policy be different? Clerk said the lesser item would be free and it is already free.

          • Natalie559

            http://www.southernsavers.com/2010/01/cvs-a-great-email-response/

According to the email response from corporate CVS above that employee is wrong. I would print it out and go talk to or call the store manager.

          • Mary

I did this deal today and got all 4 bottles (there was a 4 bottle limit) free (only paid the .20 tax). The clerk wasn't sure so she asked the store manager and the store manager told her to scan the coupons to see if it worked and it did!! Yay!

            • Mysterious_Mentalist

Neither the ad/tags nor my receipts state anything about the limit. It would usually print on receipt if there is a (sale) limit reached or reaching (regardless of ECB or not). I bought 4 and receipt does not mention anything about it. Can someone confirm if there is a store limit on these B1G1 sale?

            • Natalie559

On the back pg of my ad it shows the pic for the waters and it states limit 4. Now does that mean 4 bottles or 4 deals?

            • Mysterious_Mentalist

I believe it is 4 Offers. Whatever the advertised price is, it is 1 “offer”. If it were 1 bottle for $1 with limit 4 (offers), then you would get 4 bottles each for that price. If it says B1G1, then it is one offer that happens to have two items involved in advertised deal. Therefore, you would get 8 bottles with that pricing.

    • sangu07

wow, you are always soo ahead of other bloggers…. The first one to post CVS, Walgreens and Rite Aid Weekly deals!

      • guest

Yeeeeah, no. There are other sites that post weekly ads a week or 2 or sometimes MORE ahead of time. Gives you much more time to prepare.

    • Mom2teenagers

You can “buy” a $4/$20 CVS q from recyclebank by simply signing up. You earn 40 pts for signing up and then earn 50 pts by checking the box to become an ebay green partner. After signing up and earning your 90 pts, you can scroll thru available rewards to spend your points on. A $4/$20 CVS q can be purchased for 50 pts.

      • jen

I did that a few weeks ago and am STILL waiting for the coupon in the mail =( I thought it would be one I could print out. Maybe I'll blame all this bad weather.

        • You can sign up on cvs.com to keep track of your ECB's and they also send out q's to your email. I get one almost every week, Either $5.00 off 20.00, 4.00 off 20.00, 5.00 off 30.00…I use them every week

          • nowkacoupons

Kathy, Tell me more about what these Q's look like in your e-mail. I'm signed up with CVS and I get the e-mails but I'm not seeing these types of deals, i.e. $5 off $20.00, etc. Where do I look for it?

            • Andrea

I get the coupons be email too. in the subject line of your email inbox it will say 4 off 20 coupon good through such and such a date. you go in and display the images and your coupon will be right there. maybe you have to have your card number registered online???

            • Lori

No, you don't have to be signed up online. I just signed up today online. I use to get one of the good coupons every week! Now they stopped coming as frequently…I don't know what happened! I can't figure out how they distribute the coupons to different customers!

            • monette

I received a $4/$20 from CVS last Sunday. It says “limit one per customer”. Has anybody tried to use this coupon several times or only once is allowed? Thanks.

            • brooke_b

In the past two weeks I have accumulated 5 $4/$20 coupons. I have gotten a few from the kiosk up front and at least 2 have printed on my receipt (only gotten them on the receipts I didn't have ECBs printing on) I don't know how I keep getting them but I'm not complaining. But CVS NEVER emails me coupons!

            • Monica B.

I guess I'm blind, but where is this “kiosk” that everyone keeps talking about? I've only been doing CVS for a couple of days now, but I haven't seen anything that looks like a kiosk. Help, please!!!

            • brooke_b

Next to the register on the counter there is a little red box with a screen and it has a scanner on it. You just walk up to it and scan your CVS card and it prints out coupons you can use in the store. My town only has one CVS so its the only one I go to. I've heard that some stores don't have them.

            • Heather

It's true. The register will only allow one per person. I was disappointed, but you can always take an extra one to Publix to use on your groceries!

          • jen

I've been signed up with cvs for a little bit now and I haven't had any coupons come my way via email… all the emails I get are kind of lame like, “transfer your prescription” or “20% off online orders”…. I would love to know how to get the email coupons. I asked the clerk at cvs and she had no idea why I wasn't getting them. I have checked my account and I have listed that I want to be contacted via email for sales and what not, but still nothing. Before I signed up in the store, I signed up online to have them send me an ECB card, but nothing. I waited two weeks and finally just went into the store. So I got my card there and registered it online (never received the first one)… anyone have any comments on how to get the coupons??

            • Kim

Same here- I get the 20% off online – but have only gotten one or two in my emails and it has been quite awhile. HELP.

            • Esmelda

I've been signed up for a very long time and have never received a coupon by e-mail. They have my correct e-mail, though, because I get occasional CVS promotions in my inbox. Oh well …

            • Monique

Jen call the customer service number on your card. Once I did that and registered over the phone I started getting the copons

          • Donna

i also have been signed up at the CVS site with my card linked for a long time now. I get emails from them, but never any with coupons. I sure wish someone could tell me why I never get coupons. I also never get any surveys which I hear alot of ppl get.

            • Natalie559

For the surveys you have to be signed up to their advisory panel. I have received 1 survey since I registered in the panel about 1 month ago.

            • Donna

how do you get on their advisory panel?

            • Natalie559
            • WynetteC

Thanks for that link. Any reward would help so I am willing to be polled.

            • kj

I signed up in December and the very next week took a survey and got 10.00 ecb email, off of any purchase. I've only gotten one email since then for a survey and they sent it out at 2 in the afternoon on a thursday. by the time i got home from work, i clicked the link and they had enough participants.

The first survey, they sent it out at night for a survey to be done on a Sunday morning. I emailed with my disgruntled self about the timing not being fair to people that can't check their personal email at work to agree to take a survey. They should just send those out at night at least so everyone has a fair shot if they check their email in the morning.

            • barb454

Same thing with me also, been on the “advisory panel” for 1 month and got 1 survey.

            • Kim

I received an email from the advisory panel that I took last night and I received $10 in ECB for taking the survey. I was so excited!

      • tori729

Thanks for the idea, I just did that! You can also check the status of your order on their website if you're still waiting for the coupon.

I haven't gotten any $/$$ coupons in my email for awhile. In fact, the email I have on file hasn't received any CVS emails at all. So I changed it and I'm hoping that helps!

    • maxchicken

I have many transactions I would like to do, but not the same as the examples. How do you determine which to do first, second, third, etc. so that the out-of-pocket is kept to the minimum possible? I have made myself an itemized list showing the selling price minus the coupon which gives me the price I will pay with the ECB I will earn off to the side. Any tips on how to line up transactions will be greatly appreciated!

      • Elizabeth

I've wondered the same thing! :)

        • Angela

I like to make a list of items I want to buy with the ECB listed to the side. I then make a list of scenarios and try to start the first one with the least out of pocket the most ECB to get it rolling for the next transactions. It does take me a little while to work all my scenarios though.

          • Heather

I try to always start with items that will be free (i.e. items that give the same amount of ECB's as their sale price). Usually if there's a coupon for these you will make a little money in your first transaction. It may help to set up an excel spreadsheet with formulas to use every week. I have it set up like the scenarios that Jenny uses, but I can plug in the items I plan on buying for the week. I've also found that it's easier to do more simple transactions (like 1 or 2 items) than 2 or 3 big transactions. Hope this helps!

Here’s some extra coupons to use for some of the scenarios: $2/1 Crest Pro-Health rinse 2/7 P&G (has to be for the 440 ml and the 14.8 oz bottle will work); also if you do the Aussie deal, buy the Shampoo, and get the Conditioner free when you use the BOGO coupon in the 2/7 P&G in addition to the $1/1 any Aussie product coupon in the 2/14 RP. Hopefully those will work. I did 3 scenarios and I’m planning to be out of pocket $1.07 on the 1st, $.07 on the 2nd and $.16 on the 3rd.

      • I only know of a B1G1 for Herbal Essences hair care in last weeks paper. So you might need to plan a little differently.

        • candipittman

You are right, the BOGO is for herbal essence not Aussie. :( I got too excited!

          • kelli

oh man! I got so excited when I read that… too bad. :(

    • Michelle

The $3/3 CVS coupon for the Reach floss prints with a manufacturer's bar code. Is it still legitimate to use this with three other manufacturer coupons?

      • gtdad

Probably depends on the cashier – when I emailed corporate about a similar Stacy's coupon a couple of weeks ago, they replied that it is a manufacturer's coupon and can't be stacked. Some cashiers will any though!

    • jseveran

In transaction #3, the scenario uses BIGI and a $1 q. This never works for me at CVS or Rite Aid. They will not take both. Is this addressed in their policy? How can I explain the validity to the clerks?

      • candipittman

2 coupons for 2 items. Explain you are using the BOGO coupon for the “FREE” item and the $1/1 coupon for the Item you have to pay for.

      • SB

Sorry I pushed the wrong button. Always use the 1.00 off coupon first. If you do this, it should go through. I have never had any problems when doing this, but if you do run into the problem again, ask a manager.

      • Lori

I have never had a problem at my CVS. Maybe it is just the store that you go too.

    • BostonMama

Didn't Jenny have on here a few days ago to save the PandG coupons? So that we could get more coupons in the future?

      • yes i believe so..something about if you spend $50 on P&G products you could send in for a coupon booklet that lasted all year…i remember that happening last year too but I just could bring myself to spend $50..but this year I might. I just don't remember the date she told us to save them until:(

        • maxchicken

Rebates begin on 2/21 and you must purchase $50 before coupons.

          • Susan

No, according to the rebate form for which Jenny has provided a link, receipts starting 2/1 count.

          • katsul

I just received the rebate form in the mail from P&G. It clearly states that qualifying purchases must be between 02/01/10 & 04/15/10, so our receipts from the Rite-Aid Visa deal will work if purchased this month. It also states to purchase $50 of any P&G products, before tax and coupon discounts.

      • Procter & Gamble Rebate Returns
Posted on Feb 04 2010 | By Jenny · Comments

On Sunday 2/7, you will get a large Procter & Gamble insert in your paper (see the insert preview). I want to encourage you to not jump on many Procter & Gamble deals though, unless they are hot, for a few weeks.

Starting February 21st a new Procter & Gamble $100 Coupon booklet rebate will be released. You will need to buy $50 in P&G products before coupons to get this and the rebate dates will start on 2/21.

So save up your coupons and then after 2/21 lets find some great deals to grab.

If you think this isn’t for you that’s fine, but remember last year these coupons were good all year and many of you felt a little left out after a few months of seeing the coupon matches and not having them to use. They were all $1 off or more, off many P&G products.

        • Amber

On the Hip2save website, there is a post about the upcoming P&G promotion. On there, she says that purchases made between 2/1 and 4/15 of this year count. On the P&G website, it just says there will be more information available in the 2/21 insert. I'm not sure when it starts, but if it is on 2/1, I'm excited! She also has a Rite Aid scenario for this week that has you purchasing over $100 in P&G before coupons to earn a $35 Rite Aid promo. Here's the link to the hip2save page w/ the info. If it isn't on this page by the time you get there, try clicking “older posts” at the bottom of the page. HTH

        • Lori

I think that Jenny said that the rebate now starts on Feb 1st! She posted something earlier today. So you could use these coupons now and they would go toward the rebate!

        • Thuy

And don't forget that if you are buying the Glade products, you can send in for the $5 SC Johnson rebate. They allow 3 rebates per household and you can make 3 of the ECB transactions at CVS.

          • Mysterious_Mentalist

Thanks for letting us know. I received one and thought I was done. Can you please post the link again? When does the rebate period for this promotion end? Thanks

    • Ish

Thank you sooo much, I was patiently waiting for the perfect time to start CVSing and you have provided the best scenarios, my family thanks you as well!

      • i have never done a transaction senarios before either..but i think i can really handle these…as long as the cashier is patient & they have all the products. I only use one set of Qs when I do this. I don't do 2 but i do 1 if it says 2 so others can have some too.:)

    • Brenda

      Jenny

I know you have addressed this before, but if my CVS is one of the stores where you can get the deals starting Sunday on Saturday night, do the ECB's print as well? Something tells me this was asked previously and the answer was no to the ECB's.

      • Margaret

At my CVS, the ECBs do print starting Saturday night. It's a good idea to just ask when you go in, though, before you go through the hassle of getting all your stuff together and getting up to checkout.

      • erin

I have the same question!!!!!!!!!!! I'd love to go on Saturday if the ECB's will print.

      • Gabi

        Brenda,

my store is like yours and the ECBs have always printed for me.

      • kelli

my store's sale prices start on Saturday night but the assure me that the ECBs will not print until Saturday morning. I've only actually tried it once on Saturday and the ECBs printed. The second time I tried it, the sale prices weren't ringing up at all… I've pretty much just given up on trying to shop Saturday evening since I have to go out and get papers on Sunday anyway.

    • Kristi

I always look at the printed ad and it shows baby Johnson products (Desitin, lotion, wash, powder, shampoo)@ 2.99-plus all the $1 off coupons that are out there makes them 1.99-that is a pretty good deal if you are in need of those products.

    • kmoon

      • Gabi

        Hey kmoon!

I'm looking at your transactions #1, 3 and 5 and you have a filler item listed in all 3.
The ECBs are not a coupon, they are treated like cash, so you don't need to get filler items at CVS. Also, there's a $4 off $20 coupon out there, good through Saturday. If you go to a non-24-hour CVS Saturday evening after 6 PM, you can already get the new deals, and they will still take that coupon. Check your email, it may be in there. I got mine yesterday. You can use it in your third scenario, just give it to them before you hand them your other coupons!

        • Donna

where is this $4 off $20 coupon at that you said is out there? i've not seen it and would love to have it!

        • kmoon

Couldn't find the 4 off 20 coupon – that would have been great though!!! thanks all for the heads up about the filler item!

      • katiehd

You don't have to use filler items at CVS. The ECBs aren't considered manufacturer coupons like they are at Walgreens. Makes life so much easier. :-)

        • Marina

I'm almost certain she is adding in a filler because of what her total price of items are. If her items don't equal what her extra bucks are she either needs a filler or will have to ask them to reduce the amount of her extra bucks

      • sb

These look good, but at CVS you do not need a filler item. The ECB count as cash. Walgreens is the only store that you need filler items.

      • kmoon

Well I went today and everything pretty much worked great. I am in North FL though and I went to two CVS's to double check – Orbit was 2.99 not 2.50 (that was the seven gum) and the Neutrogena therapeutic hair care was 6.29 not 5.29 for some reason – but still everything worked fine!!

      • DebbieCookie

At my Rite Aid, I couldn't find a $5.29 Neutragena Ther. Hair Care item that would work with the $2 coupon. Instead paid $6.79 (for the cheapest one) and used the coupon.

    • Lisa511

What is the “blue” Buy3, Get 1 Free on the Coca-Cola sale? Is that a coupon out there? My husband loves Coke and I'm always looking for those deals.

      • This is just a deal they are running, not a coupon. They are 3 for $10, but if you get 3 then grab the 4th for free!

    • WB

Does CVS allow you to use two coupons on a B1G1? I am sure this question has been answered many times, but I rarely shop at CVS. Thanks!

      • becky

        yep you can use 2

      • VanessaCook

        yes

    • jen

Per this website ( http://www.thankyoumom.com/coupons.jsp ) it says that purchases for the coupon booklet can be made beginning 2/1/10… so if that’s correct, then we can use receipts from this weeks cvs deal right?

      • Susan

        Yes

    • 1MiniMom

Be sure to scan your CVS card at the coupon printer. Coupons are printing for $1/2 CVS brand tissues and $1/1 CVS brand skin care item. These are both on sale starting Sunday.

    • Lindsay

Can I use the B1G1 covergirl face product coupon on the mascara? I am not sure if they count that as a face product or if it is only foundation.
      Thanks

      • kelli

I would think that mascara is a face product… eyes/eye lashes are part of your face.

        • Susan

Though it's dumb, apparently the B1G1 covergirl face product does not include your eyes! I tried to use it at Rite Aid today to buy eyeshadow, and the register kept beeping that I hadn't bought the right thing. The cashier pushed it through, though–as she should have! My eyes ARE a part of my face! :) Hope you have the same luck!

      • QwertyEmily

I'm hoping blush/bronzer is a “face product”- it's listed as such on the covergirl website. i guess i'll just have to cross my fingers!

      • DebbieCookie

I used it at Rite Aid for mascara with no problems.

      • Dianne

I used the B1G1 for the mascara today with no problem. They also took the 2.50/2 on the same deal. I asked them if it would work first and they said yes. Great deal on two mascaras!

    • Carrie

Are there any more recent Reach floss coupons than the ones from RP 1/03? I think those expired on 1/31.

      • kelli

I believe that the reach coupons from RP 1/3 expire 1/31/2011.

        • kelli

also, I believe that there are some from June 2009 (not sure what date) that expire 5/31/2010.

        • anniet1018

Yes! Isn't that crazy…I almost tossed them several times LOL!

        • Carrie

Kelli, you're right. That'll teach me to pay attention to the entire expiration date! Thanks.

    • kelli

Someone mentioned last week that there's a $3 off Veet coupon. My CVS has a lot of Veet products on clearance but I can't find the coupon. Can anyone help me find it? thanks!

      • sixsigmamom

I'm not sure about posting links here. It is on the home solutions news site. Go the Kroger tab and look at the week of 1/31 – 2/6 and look under the heading of Grocery for the mustard. It has a link to go to the site. Just search the site for personal stuff.

        • You are always welcome to post a link to a coupon :) Any link get's held for moderation but as long as it's legit it's welcomed!

        • kelli

thanks, I found a $2 off Veet coupon. I wish I could find the $3 one that was mentioned… that would make the Veet free at my store.

    • asaby

thanks jenny but in my ad im in orlando they have the soft scrub 2/4.00 if you printed the bogo q and the 1.00 off any soft scrub that was out a couple of weeks ago you cold get 2 bottles for 1.00 or if you are like me i have 2.00 off any soft scrub i got from recycle bank i will get 2 for free!!

      • lynn

please what isz the recycling bank been doing the jenny coupon plan for a while only recently started to see recycle bank what am i missing lol

    • tallymomma

Yay! I had a $4 off $20 come in my email. Thank goodness I checked my junk mail :)

    • apage1

I am new to CVSing, so bear with me, I have a question. I have ECB's from last week, and have 3 transactions planned out, with all 3 i'll be getting ECB's back, but have enough ECB's now to cover all 3 w/ only a few cents oop. Do i still have to break all the transactions up to get all 3 seperate ECBs back? And can I use more than one ECB receipt on one transaction?

      • Sue

You can do one large transaction if you want. You should still get the same ecbs. Of crse, if you are planning to buy 2 Crests, then those 2 ecbs will be combined. You can use however many ecbs you want per transaction but you can not get change back.

    • Jasmine910

Ok, I just did my first week at walgreens and fully understand it. Now CVS is a little different-
ECB are like RR except put on your card and not paper?
      don't need fillers?

is there anything else different I'm missing?

      • kelli

extra bucks are printed on paper, at the bottom of your receipt and are linked to your card

I'm not a wags shopper, so I don't know if there's any other differences.

      • holla008

Extra care bucks print at the register just like RR's from walgreens, but you must scan your Extra Care card to get them.

        • Jasmine910

thanks guys-finally found the cvs newb guide and i think it all makes sense!!

only other question i have now is, for example, crest pro-health is $3.50 and you get $3.50 ECB back. limit 2. i have two $2/1 Qs. at walgreens i would have to do these as separate transactions and on the second transaction i would need a filler for my 'rolled' money.

with cvs, can i do both of these in the same transaction, use Qs on both AND get $7 ECBs back?? (and not need a filler?)

          • kelli

yes, the limit is how many you can buy with your card. my understanding is that wags limits are usually 1, that's why you have to buy things in multiple transactions. at cvs, you can buy as many as the limit allows all at once or you can split them up. if you buy them together, the ecbs will be added together though, for the crest pro-health you'll get 1 for $7 ecbs printed on your receipt, not 2 for $3.50.

            • Jasmine910

ohh ok, thanks so much! that makes sense.

            • You still need filler items. You still need to have the same # of items as you have coupons/ECBs.

            • lindseybee06

You do not need the same number of coupons as you do items. Say you get BOTH Crests -2 coupons AND you had ECBs. You had 2 items and 3 coupons. That flies at CVS. It gets better when you have $/$$ coupons and CVS store coupons and Manu Qs for the same item. Wags makes my head spin with the # thing. CVS is a lot easier to learn! Just make sure your total is more or equal to your ECBs. You won't get anything back if you give more ECBs than you have spent.

      • Heather

The easiest thing to do is pretend your ECBs are money. At Walgreens they're just another coupon. If you've mastered Walgreens, CVS will feel like kindergarten–they make it so much easier!

    • crystal

Can you use the b1g1 covergirl coupon for the mascara?

    • brandy

Anyone see the B1G1 for Covergirl? I am not seeing it…tampa

      • lynn

yes st pete times had it

        • brandy

got it…i was brain dead and not looking at the right date…:P

    • Amy

Thank you so much for your hard work…this makes things so much easier for me when I walk in with my list and coupons ready to go. I'm a mother of 3 and I am doing my best to provide for my family while staying at home and getting out of debt….you have helped alot

    • Paula

the colgate from ss1/31 is expired, why is in the list then? Are there some stores that take them?

      • hrichards

        i thought the same thing.

      • Donna

aw foot! i'm glad you said something tho or i wouldn't have noticed until i tried to use it!

    • itismedia

Thanks for all the advice this week on my first venture out! I am already hooked. I knew I would have to spend some money to get started, but I got about 60.00 worth of products for 15.00 and I have 7.00 in ECB's to roll over! I already have a 3 transaction scenarios for a total of 23.00 worked out that will be 100% free and I will end the week with 12.00 in ECB's to roll over (7.00 and 5.00).
I do have a different question. They have the Purex 3 in 1 detergent buy one get one for .01 cent. Can I use 2 coupons or will they just adjust one and it be a waste of a coupon?
Thanks again for all your help. You have helped turn me into a CVS shopper already!

      • kelli

you should be able to use 2 coupons with no problem. the only way that they should adjust it down is if the coupons total are more than you're paying for the products.

    • kelleywaldroup

With the cover girl, we have B1G1, we also have $2.50/2 Q, Can you use them together?
      Thanks!

      • itismedia

Unless CVS is different from everyone else then no. The B1G1 is a coupon for one of the items. They 2.50/2 is a coupon for both items. That would mean you are trying to use 2 man. coupons for one of the items.

        • Dale

In a letter I received from CVS corporate the following is a quote, “Two manufacturer coupons can be used on a buy one get one free purchase as long as two items are scanned at the register. The system logic sees two items scanned and will allow two coupons.”

          • Virginia

Normally this would be correct, but the coupons they are asking about are bogo and $2.50/2. The bogo coupon may only 'attach' to one item due to the coding, but the $2.50/2 coupon will attach to 2 items. Therefore, in order to use both coupons, you would need 3 items.

    • WynetteC

I am now officially 6 months into this extreme couponing. I do see that the grocery stores have cycles on their sale items, can this also be said of CVS or are they more random?

      • lindseybee06

They cycle too. Remember when they did the SAME exact Glade deal? And you can only get free toothpaste 2 weeks out of the month. ROTFL. I'm not sure of the cycle for specific products but yes. I also find that the CRT coupons hint at what will be coming up.

    • Mysterious_Mentalist

      Heads up!

Bounty Vitamins sale is for selected items. A week ago, it was on multi and vit D I believe, but this week multi and all those that were on sale that week are now EXCLUDED this week. Therefore, you may not use all Qs, eg. for multi given above.

Also, go to Bounty website and register and you can earn rewards for entering the code on their websites and get $2, 3, or $5 coupons printed as “earned” rewards. I used $5 coupons that week and gotten all multi for free. I will use more this week. The beuty is those coupons are for “any Bounty Vitamins.” :)

      • RebeccaFer

For anyone doing the Bounty Vitamins coupons, make sure you print six, yes you read it right SIX, coupons for each Bricks link. Just keep pressing the back button until you get them all. If you still have enough points to get another $5, make SURE you print it from another computer since that too will give you six more but it will NOT give you any more at all from the first computer you printed on. In essence, if you even try, you will lose that second opportunity to print six more! Definitely worthwhile since I printed $60 worth of coupons and used them to get my $25 Healthy Heart rebate at RA the week before last.

        • WynetteC

BUT what if I printed a $2 off coupon from them sometime last year (between Sept. and Dec) when CVS was doing the B1G1 sale. I think I did those coupons on both my home computers so will this eliminate my chances for printing any future $5 coupons off now?

          • RebeccaFer

No, you can print each denomination from your computer 6 times per link they give you. What I wanted to let everyone know is you can get your six prints for each denomination the very first time you print it. This will work well if you have a use for all six before the expiration date (it varies depending on the printing date.) If however, you want to print one at a time, just realize you will have to accrue enough points with Bounty Vitamins to get each link. You can print up to six times at once or print six times separately. The thing to remember is you use up your BV points each time you go to print a coupon. I hope I made sense. :D

            • Mysterious_Mentalist

So, I printed 6 or so (cant remember how many exactly, it let me keep printing until i stopped) $5 Qs already from one link by pressing back button etc. Does it mean I cant ever again print $5 Qs even after I accumulate points, and even after I try to redeem new accumulated pts.? Are you saying 6 prints (for each type of Qs) are for lifetime of the account?

            • RebeccaFer

Sorry to be so confusing. It is 6 prints per denomination per computer. I'm not sure if its the lifetime of the program or is they will reset the links so you'll be able to do six again. I could do six from my home computer and then I went to the library and printed six more from another computer. I could have done another computer if I still had the points for another $5 coupon too. I hope that makes sense. :D

    • Mysterious_Mentalist

Several weeks ago, I had used two $2/1 Kellogs printable coupons on B1G1 free deal at CVS. Is there still a $2/1 Kellog's coupon out there? $1.50/2 does not sound too good a buy. Please post the link if you know.

    • BettyAnn

all the transations above…. can I do ALL transactions at ONE time or do I need to do them ONE at a time?

      • Angel_in_Charleston

To roll the ECBs and have the least OOP expense, you should do separate transactions, as suggested. If you do one big transaction, you are spending more OOP and will have to use your ECBs on a future transaction instead of rolling them. Make sense?

      • julie

You can do one transaction – I do it all the time. I do not have the time and patience to do several of them. Also, it takes more organization and I just don't want to have to deal with it. Just bite the bullet the first week and pay the oop, after that it won't matter because you are not limited on the number of ECBs you can pay with.

    • Yacoomba

I did my early CVS run for tomorrow's add today…wanted to let you all know in the Gillette Razor deal a lot of the packages have Gillette coupons in them. I purchased the Gillette Sensor 3 (4 ct) and received $15 worth of coupons inside. The coupons included: $2.00 off any one Gillette Body Wash, $5.00 on any one Gillette Fusion Razor (great overage), $4.00 off any one Gillette Fusion Cartridge Pack, $2.00 off one Gillette Clinical Strenth or any tow Gillete Anti-Perspirant Deodorants, and $2.00 off any one Shampoo/Conditioner/Styler. This on top of the ECB's you get this week is an awesome deal!!!!

      • Yacoomba

Wanted to add that all the coupons I got don't expire until: drum roll please ***12/31/2011.

        • dibeedee

Awesome tip. I only saw it on the sensitive variety, and the package was labeled as having $15 in savings inside. Love that expiration date too! I wasn't at my usual CVS, which has Gillette products on their clearance shelf, so I will probably get some for free with these great Qs. Thanks again.

          • Yacoomba

Seems like every CVS you go to is different in what and how they carry their products. I saw some Gillette on clearance at the CVS close to my job (shampoo/conditioner) along with Herbal Essence products. This is the same place I got the Olay Definity for free after my $3.00 off coupon so I'm quite pleased.

Some have $10 and others have $15, I say go all out and get the $15 coupon package if you're going to get one (lol). No problem about the tip- I love saving money and getting great products. Thanks to Jenny and this site I've been able to stockpile so many items (woohoo). Happy Shopping!!! :-)

            • dibeedee

I did get two of the Gillette hair styling products with the coupons. On the first one I got, they gave me overage. The next time, all I got credit for was price of product. I'm jealous about the Definity deal you got. They have it on clearance at my CVS too, but it's $7.50. Thanks again!

      • Shiloh Kennedy

Also, you can purchase the 4 pack (containing $10 in coupons) and still use the coupon listed above even though the Q says for an 8 pack

        • Shelly

Off subject here but- I love your name! I have a daughter named Shiloh and don't see it very often.

          • erindixon520

Ha! I was thinking the same thing, except it's my two-yr-old son's name :)

        • Natalie559

No, but right next to the -$3 8pk coupon was a -$2 for a 4 pk.

    • Amy

Thanks for the post. I am not a complete newbie when it comes to deal seeking and using coupons, but could someone explain about B1G1 sales and using a B1G1 coupon and how you figure the item is then free…????

      • It can actually vary, depending on what state you live in and how they REALLY do BOGO sales. In FL, our BOGO is a true BOGO. Buy one at xx and get one for free. So, for us it would be buy 1 SOBE water and get one free, The store is giving you one for free and your coupon is paying for the other one, so both are free. If your state/store does BOGO differently then it may or may not play out like that.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

I believe this is universal, not specific to State. Even my hated Rite Aid accepts B1G1 coupon for big1 store deal, let alone other reputable retailers. Most employees are not educated. If they give you hard time, call cust. svce, they will give them a call. I have confirmed this with both CVS and RA.

    • Yacoomba

At CVS I found Olay Definity Foaming Moisturizer on clearance marked $7.49. I had an Olay Regenerist or Definity Moisturizer/Cleanser coupoon (expires 2/28/10) ( PG 1/7). I get to the register and it rings up $2.99- I got it for FREE. I went back to the car got another coupon and got another one for FREE. So if your CVS has a clearance shelf or rack look for it you will be amazed at what you can find on there. The cashiers were all screaming how I really lucked up getting the Olay (we all know how expensive it is). Also I was able to get an University Acne Kit for FREE using the $3.00 coupon (ugh can't remember which paper it came in sorry). It was clearanced for $2.50.

    • Marie

HELP! I'm confused. How do you buy 2 gillette 12 ct at CVS and use the RP
coupons you mention with it. Aren't they different amounts and product?
Could really use a prompt response. Many thanks

      • Yacoomba

For my scenario of buying the Gillette it wasn't for the 12ct…you had to get the counts specified on the respective coupons. I got the Gillete Sensor 3 (4 ct) which was $5.98 with $2.00 off and getting back 2 ECB's. In a lot of the packages you get coupons for other Gillette products ( I got $15 worth which don't expire until 12/31/2011). Some packages have $10 in coupons other $15. Hope this helps you out; I thought it was 12ct also but when I got to the store saw differently.

        • Marie

Thanks so much for your explanation. You did a great job.

          • Yacoomba

Your welcome; glad I could help! :-)

            • Dianne

Did the package you bought have written on it that it had coupons inside? I only saw it written on some of the 12 ct packages. I tried to see if there were some in the count that you got, but I couldn't see any, so I put it back.

    • kmoon

Hi – I'm not sure if this has been answered and I am new to this – can someone tell me if I buy two of the crest pro-health pastes will I then get 7 dollars total back in ECB or is it only 3.50? I am thinking 7 and feel stupid for asking, but just wanted to double check before I head out in the morning!!

      • Sue

You should get $7 because the limit on this is 2.

    • SCC2

I went to CVS tonight to do two ads at once, I only had one problem. The clerk would not take the B1G1 coupon for the Sobe Life Water that was B1G1. She said you get the lesset one free which was already free. Should I be able to do this? What do I need to say to get them to do this?

      • gingerinCA

About a month or so ago, Jenny posted a letter from CVS which clarified their coupon policy, and I'm pretty sure it addressed this issue. Look under the CVS tab, and then look down until you find the link that says something like, “A great letter” or “A great response” or something like that. Click on that, and you can read the whole letter. I would paste that into word, print it out, and take it to the store with me, if I were you. And you can always ask for the manager, and show them the letter and say this is how it was explained to you, and see what they say.

        • SCC2

Thank you! I remember that letter – I will find it.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

This is incorrect if they told you this. Manuf. B1G1 is universally accepted regardless of store sale. Store is discounting the item on its own sale, so they must accept the manuf Q. Moreover, to my understanding, consumers get the higher benefits. If the sale was B1G1 50% off store sale, then the coupon would apply to the higher price whcih would have been 100%, not 50%. The clerks need to be educated on this.

If you don’t have the reach floss mnfr coupon, you can print it from this link http://www.reachbrand.com I was able to print a second one by clicking on the back button after I printed the 1st one.

red plum ( coupon inserts in the newspaper)

        • Holly

It stands for Red Plum the coupon insert from the newspaper. If you look at the top of the page where it says “Getting Started” and go down to “Coupon FAQ” there is a list of all the abbreviations and what they mean.

    • Stephanie

Just went to CVS and got 4 DiGiorno Rising Crust pizzas for $10.00 This was the best ever! our sale is buy 1 get 2nd for 1 penny and then used 2 coupons for $1.00 off. What a good deal!! Thanks for all these deals and more!

I had such a great time at CVS last night. I got a few deals from last weeks ad, but maybe only one or two. Here's what I did:

      3 Reach Total Care Toothbrushes – 2 pack @ $3.99 each = $11.97
      – (3) $1 coupon
      – $3 off 3 CVS coupon
      1 Cottonelle 12 pack @ $5.49
      – $1 off Cottonelle from Feb. All You Mag
      1 Colgate Total Toothpaste @ $2.99
      – $0.50 coupon
      2 Glade Lasting Impressions @ $6 each = $12
      – (2) $3 coupons
      2 Crest Pro-Health Rinse @ $3.50 each = $7
      – (2) $2 coupons
2 Covergirl Smoky Shadowblast @ 8.99 B1G1 1/2 off (last weeks deal must have overridden this weeks deal) = $13.48
      – B1G1 coupon (-$4.49)
      – $2.50 coupon
      Used $27.98 in ECB
      Payed $2.97 OOP
      Got back $22 in ECB

    • Jennifer M

WooHoo! Just got back from CVS and got $35.00 worth for $2.50!!! It would have been $0.50 if not for them being out of one of the refills for the Glade, and I had to get another thing and couldn't use my coupon :(

    • ahjgarrity

Just left CVS. If you look on the 12 pack Diet Cokes some of them have $1 off 2 boxes coupons on them! If you get 4 boxes and use 2 coupons that makes them $2.00 a box!!!

    • Josie

I recently read that there were to be NO INSERTS in today's newspaper! Is this correct? I see the “$1.00 off Aussie product, RP 2/14” listed above…are there inserts in the paper today?!?!

      • kelli

there is 1 RP insert in the paper today. not too many great coupon, not in my opinion at least. I bought 2 because I knew I'd use a few of the coupons but I don't see myself using most of them.

        • Andrea

I live in Huntsville/Madison area and get the HUntsville times. I bought 4 papers and none had a RP in it. So apparently, we didn't get coupons this week:( There was however, a small kroger insert with a few man. coupons in it. Not worth 4 papers thought!

    • kelli

I didn't think that this week was going to be all that great but boy was I wrong!

I spent $4.05 OOP ($3.53 of that was tax). Then I was refunded $1.05 for being overcharged. So, my OOP was really $3 and I saved $171.04. I used $35 ECBs and got back $40!!

I was hoping to get some DiGiorno pizzas but they were out of cheese and I don't really like pepperoni. Hopefully they'll get some cheese in this weeks shipment.

      • Shandrika

do you mind sharing what you bought? :)

        • kelli

I added my spending/savings to my fiances. we each bought several things today.

          I bought:
          2 Crest Pro-Health rinse
          1 Colgate Total toothpaste
          1 Aussie conditioner
          2 Covergirl pressed powder
2 Glade Fragrance Collection candles = $6 each
          4 Veet products (clearance = $2.75 each)
after coupons I spent $16 ECBs and $2.49 oop and got back $20 ECBs
          $99.72 in savings

          he bought
          2 Crest Pro-Health rinse
          1 Colgate Total toothpaste
          1 Aussie conditioner
          2 Covergirl pressed powder
          2 Glade Fragrance Collection candles
          1 Fruitopia shampoo
          2 3M travel lint rollers
          1 CVS travel hand cream
          1 CVS shave cream (clearance = $2)
1 Essence of Beauty hand cream (clearance = $3)
after coupons, he spent $19 ECBs and $1.56 oop and got back $20. Then was refunded $1.05 for one of the 3M lint rollers that rang up $1.99 instead of $.99.
          $67.33 in savings

      • pharmSCgirl

Do you know how much the Digorno Pizzas cost? I saw the deal, but wasn't sure if it was worth it. Thanks!

        • kelli

the 4 cheese pizza was $4.99 and pepperoni was $6.99. I've got some $1/2 coupons which would make the cheese $4 for 2 and the pepperoni $6 for 2.

Is that a good deal? I don't buy pizza very often. I was just going to get some to use up some ECBs that are expiring soon.

          • kelli

I actually went in today to try to get some cheese pizza and realized that the price is actually $4.19 at my store, not $4.99…. they still didn't have any though. :( I was going to try to get a rain check but they have pepperoni and there wasn't a nice cashier working today, so I didn't think she'd give me one. I think it's a little unfair that they'll only give you a rain check if everything in that sale is sold out since most of the time the cheapest things go first.

        • michelle

the pizzas I bought were 6.99 . the limit was 8(still trying to figure out if it's 8 total or 8 penny pizzas) I had 8 q's for 1/1. 2.50 for a pizza is a good deal for me.

          • kelli

I think that the limit means 8 total pizzas

            • kelli

I saw a sticker on the shelf today that says the limit is actually 4, not 8.

    • Emily

This may be a repeat but I haven't read through all the comments…there is a tearpad in Walgreens (possibly elsewhere?) for $3/1 Neutrogena sun care product. That would work great with the ECB deal this week.

    • Nathan

      Hi everyone,

Long time reader, first time poster. here's my CVS trip today. I bought:
      1) Crest Rinse (2 dollar off coupon/ 2$ overage),
      2) Crest toothpase (75 cents off coupon/ .75 overage)
      3) Colgate toothpaste (75 cent off coupon / .25 cents total)
      4) Glade Diffuser and glade lasting impressions (3 dollar off each plus cvs 3 dollar coupon / 1 dollar overage)
      5) 1 pack of m&m's for .50 to make my ecb's work out
      6) 2 Covergirl powders (BOGO coupon) / 1$ total
      7) 1 Loreal cleanser – wife needed it (4.99 – 2 dollar coupon) / 3$ total
      8) Aussie mouse (1 dollar off coupon) / free

Total Value: 49.47 (sales price) (61.69 normal price)
Total Paid: 3.29 (all tax) + 20.98 ECB
      Savings: 93.3%
Got back 20 dollars in ECB

      • Good job!

      • SCC2

I am new to this. Is it better to do one big transaction and use all ECB the next time or do many small transactions and roll ECB in same visit?

        • Sue

If you already have a fair amount of ecbs, then you can do one large transaction. If you do not, then it is better to do several transactions and roll your ecbs from one transaction to the next.

      • WynetteC

Very nice! That kind of trip is always great for sharing!

    • Thuy

And don't forget that if you are buying the Glade products, you can send in for the $5 SC Johnson rebate. They allow 3 rebates per household and you can make 3 of the ECB transactions at CVS.

    • Jasmine910

i had a $4 off $20 emailed to me on 2/11 and i just saw it expired on 2/13!! i wanted to use it for my cvs trip this week- do you think they will reset it for me or honor it??

      • kelli

From what I've read/been told, most CVS store will accept store coupons/ecbs for at least a few days after the expiration date. My store will accept them until the Sunday after the expiration date.

      • BlessedinSC

One of the CVS's near me is adament about not taking expired ECB's and the other is very lenient and takes them for a week or so after they expire so you definitely want to ask.

      • Jasmine910

Thanks to you both- I went and was SO pleased with my experience! I began to explain the expired situation and she cut me off, “oh it's fine, I'll take it!” Can't be mad about that!!

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

In most cases, the expired coupon will not even beep until well after a month that it expired in. Forexample, if coupon expired on 1/23, it might scan possibly for full month of Feb. In addition, CVS seems to accept them for a month after expiration. Courteasy does not hurt, and CVS is good at it and that is why I am there and not at RA or Walgreens.

        • Jasmine910

Im with you 100%. I am new to all this and I went to Wags last week because the diaper deal was just too good not to pass up. But wow, I have never been treated like that before- and by an asst. manager too. It was horrible and made me hesitant to go to CVS this week. But last night I almost hugged my CVS cashier! lol she was VERY nice AND she through chit chatting with her, her shift was done (I was the last person she was checking out) which had me worried she wold be short, but NO! CVS is def. getting my business :)

    • bkosten

Does CVS accept overage from coupons, or do they have to bring the value of the coupon down to cost?

      • kelli

they will almost always adjust the coupon down to what you're actually paying. the only exception that I know of is when they don't hit “total” on the register before scanning the coupons.

    • Ruben

I'm so proud of myself. I bought $77.96 worth of stuff (I'm loaded with shampoo, razors, toothpaste, mouthwash, got cosmetic items for a friend, and a couple food items ) and I paid OoP $5.00 + 2.76 tax = $7.76!!!! (94% savings). On top of that, as of right now, I have $24 ECB.

This website has changed the way I shop. I love it.

    • Andrea

Someone may have already mentioned this, but CVS has the Colgate 360 toothbrushes maked down fromm $12 to $1.75. I had $1 off coupons but I cannot remember which coupon book I got it out of and I used all 4 of mine. Sorry!

      • THANKS!

      • Sharon

I found mine in the February All You magazine… page 102.

    • deniseCLT

Did anyone in see the SS 2/07 coupon for $2 off opti-free contact solution in the Charlotte Observer? Can't find it…

    • pharmSCgirl

I found a whole aisle of clearance items and thought that I could get them for really cheap. When I got up to the counter with the items and coupon matchups, they wouldn't let me use the coupons on the clearance items. I guess b/c they have to manually enter the price in and the coupon doesn't see that you purchased that item. I told them they could keep their stuff in a nice way. I know that I have bought clearance items before and used coupons, so I don't know why this time is any different.

      • kelli

that really stinks! I bought a few clearance items yesterday with coupons. I would think that you could probably argue it. They could scan the barcode on the item that you're buying and then price adjust it, then the register would accept the coupon. They could also just push through the coupons. I would talk to the manager about it.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

This is incorrect if they actually refused your valid Qs. In some cases, price is already adjusted electronically and in some cases, I have found that price is tagged for clearance but not electronically. In latter case, all they do is scan the product and manually adjust the price. Therefore, item is still electronically scanned and identified. Therefore, Qs will scan with no problems.

If employees actually told you or indicated it would be extra work for them doing manual transaction etc., then they are in trouble. You must report it to CVS so the store could be corrected. Under Consumers licensing, they cant pick and choose whom to accept Qs from and not.

      • itismedia

The same thing happened to me. I tried to buy 2 packs of toothbrushes that had been marked down to 1.00 (they had drawn a line through the barcode and wrote 1.00) I have coupons for 1.00/2 making it 4 toothbrushes for 1.00. I was so excited. The cashier refused my coupons because she had to hand ring them as “taxable item” and she therefore said I coud not use a coupon. I told her to take them off. She looked at me like I was cheap and said, “this is a really good price. Its only .50 a toothbrush”. I smiled and said thanks anyway.I already have a good number of toothbrushes. This was just a good opportunity. It doesn't seem fair that we can't use coupons because they don't want to take the time to adjust the price in the computer.

        • pharmSCgirl

Yeah, I agree. They should manually put the item in so that the computer realizes that you did buy the product. Oh well… My store had also marked through the barcode and had a sticker placed on it.

    • SCC2

Can you use the CVS coupon (online) Buy any 3, Get $3 off of any participating Listerine or Reach products be used on the Reach floss on sale for $1.99? The coupon is for Reach Total Care Floss and that is not the floss on sale.

    • Julie

    • alicia

If sobe drinks are on sale for b1g1 and i have a b1g1 coupon. does that mean in one transaction i can get three free. Or just two?

Last night I went- In a single transaction I 'purchased' 4 sobe's (limit is 4 too) and through Cvs, got 4 free. Then the 4 I 'Purchased' were dicounted to free from coupons, so I walked out with 8 sobes at 0 cost. (hopefully thats what you were asking)

Or if you just have 1 coupon, then you could either walk out with two at 0 cost, or if you are wanting 3- actually get 4 and do your coupon for one set and pay 1.59 once(my local price) for the second set, totalling 1.59 for 4 sobes only using one coupon.

        • Mysterious_Mentalist

How did you know the limit on Sobe was 4 (offers)? I didn't see the limit mentioned in ads, nor on pricetags, nor on my receipt. I bought 4 bottles (2 offers), and my receipt does not have any print about the count/track on this deal-usually receipts would have the “tracker” on deals even if without ECBs. Am I missing something? Thanks

          • Jasmine910

Maybe its a regional thing? I'm looking at my cvs ad and right under the bogof it says limit 4 in yellow. my receipt also didnt have a tracker. i guess you could probably get away with more than that, but since they are bogo and we have q's maybe its just more of an etiquette thing?

            • Mysterious_Mentalist

Sorry! Etiquette has nothing to do with this marketing gimmick. The main purpose of “limit” is to make sure that all customers get a fair chance of finding the item on shelf when they come in if they really want to buy them as well. No matter, who buys, one or multiple people, manuf is still promoting its product, retail is still getting its reimbursement for it. (Manuf. benefit from coupon use by showing them as marketing expense in profit/loss tax deductions).

With that said, I am not crazy buying these for reasons
              a) I do not use such products
              b) These products are nothing but colored water with sugar added. You can use your one or a fraction of i tablet of your $5 multi-vitamin capsules and dissolve it in water to get “vitamin-enriched” water, inexpensively
              c) Plastic bottles are not good for the environment let alone manufacturing plants emissions that go into making these bogus drinks

    • Donna

There is an even better deal if you are taking advantage of the Glade deals this week. There is an SC Johnson $5 rebate if you purchase any 3 SC Johnson Products. Here is the link to the form: http://www.scjohnson.com/files/Rebate_Form.pdf

    • augrad94

I'm just getting started and TOTALLY clueless……Do you only get ECB on certain items purchased? How do you know what items you have to purchased to get ECB?

      • gingerinCA

It shows them in the CVS circular every week. Also, Jenny posts them, above, under “Extra Care Buck Deals.”

    • Betty

Im confused please help! Im going to CVS but Im just getting back 4.00 ECB's how do I get started and end up with 20.00 like some of the comments I have read do? Am I doing something wrong?

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Logic will help-a lot of thinking and math. Btw, I havent seen any deal where you would spend $4 in ECBs (assuming no other cash payment), and even with manuf Qs, and get back $20 ECBs. It is not that rosy. You might be misunderstanding what others are trying to say.

        • kelli

I spent $16 ecbs and $2.50 ($2 of that was tax) cash and got back $20 this week. I'm not sure that I've ever only spent $4 ecbs and gotten back $20.

      • Jasmine910

i think a lot of people who get large chunks of ecbs back may begin with large chunks as well. that makes a big difference. i always write out oop and ecb back for each item i want and mix and match to find the lowest oop. another thing to remember is what your last transaction is- like i had $10 in ecb this week, but my child was sick and i ended up buying a few cold meds with it, so i ended up with nothing for next time.

only other thing i can think of is if people are showing you how many ecbs they got from the purchases- for instance i easily had $20 in ecbs, but spent them 'rolling' into another transaction. HTH

        • Bettyann

          Thanks!!!!!

    • Janet

If an item is BOGO, do you have to get 2, or can you get one for 1/2 price?

      Thanks,
      Janet

      • kelli

        you have to get 2

    • Bettyann

I just came from CVS I bought Crest Rinse for $3.50 and Crest Toothpaste for $3.50. I had a $2.00 coupon and and .75 coupon and used $4.00 ECB….. oop + tax was .74 cents, I recieved back $3.50 ECB for my next trip. my question is… shouldn't I have reieved 3.50 back for the RINSE and 3.50 for the TOOTHPASTE??????

      • kristinnc

Hi, I am new here, but not new to CVS'ing! I did the same deal and got back one ECB for $7.00. Did you buy the correct rinse? Only one type had the ECB deal. It had to be the Crest Pro-Health Enamel Paste or Rinse to get the ECB. If you did, you can go back to the store or call CVS customer care.

      • ASmith

Yes, check and make sure you purchased the correct items. I purchased the Crest rinse and the Pro health crest toothpaste and I received $7.00 ECB

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

It is not just usual Crest Rinse nor crest toothpaste, they are new being promoted; hence explain the 100% ECB on them. The rinse looks more like a bottle than a sparkling jar that you normally see for rinses-it is all white in color and would say “enale” somewhere in bold. I didnt checkout the toothpaste packaging but the keyword is “Enamel.”

      • ashley

Absolutely, I don't know what went wrong, but you should have received both. I certainly did.

    • kristin thompson

I absolutley LOVE my CVS. I just moved and have started going to a new one here in Birmingham. It's amazing. Everyone is so nice there. Coupons are NEVER a hassle. Neither was transferring a $5 perscription, for which I got a $25 gift card. I was waiting on some pictures to print the other day, and the manager bought me a 20oz soda while they worked on the machine. It was customer service at its absolute finest.

    • Cyndi

      Question …
I have a $10 off $30 purchase. Is it considered a coupon and can I use it before my other coupons? After my coupons my total will be less than $30 so I didn't know if this $10 off could be used.

      • Virginia

First off – congrats b/c you're really luck to get such a great coupon. :) Yes, you can use it before your other coupons. Get $30 worth of stuff, and hand over your $10/$30 coupon first. You can then use however many manufacturer's coupons and ECBs you need. You should be able to make a really amazing deal w/ all the great ECB offers this week. Have fun. :)

    • melissa2313

I did crazy good at CVS this week and I did it all in one transaction. Here's how I did:

      1 Covergirl tinted moisturizer $6
      1 Covergirl pressed powder $6
      1 Glade Lasting impression $6
      1 Glade reed diffuser $6
1 Crest Pro Health enamel paste $3.50
1 Crest Pro Health enamel rinse $3.50
      Total before qs $31
      – $4/20 q I got from kiosk on last visit
      – free covergirl product $6
      – $1 off covergirl
      – $.75 crest paste
      – $2 off crest rinse
      – $3 off reed diffuser
      – $3 off lasting impression
      – $3 off fragrance collection CVS q from kiosk
      – $8 in ECBs from last week
Total $0.25! and got back $17 in ECBS! I love CVS!

    • 3monkeysmom

The cheapest Neutrogena product I could find that was included in the ECB deal was the 2 oz Norwegian Formula hand cream. They were $4.49 and I had (2) $1/1 Neutrogena hand or body lotion.

      • Morgan

I don't know if you live in a cold climate or not but I do during this time of year and that Neutrogena hand cream is the only thing that keeps my hands from cracking and hurting! So I did the same thing and got two of them – what a great item for extra care bucks!!

        • 3monkeysmom

I live about 30 minutes outside of B'ham, AL. Winters usually aren't that bad, cold of course but this winter has been about the worst my 30 years have seen. I've seen more snow this winter than I ever have seen in my life-combined!! I have eczema on my hands, and am also a compulsive hand-washer, so even in the summer, if it's windy they itch, crack, and bleed. I have yet to find a hand lotion that helps with this. Hoping this Neutrogena works!! I used it last night and it felt really good, but being a compulsive hand-washer, it got washed right off not too long after I put it on :-)

    • Monica B.

I am new to all of this, so I hope this doesn't sound like a stupid question… today I got $7.50 back in ECBs… when I use them on my next trip, do I give them to the cashier like I would a coupon (BEFORE she gives me the total), or do I present them like cash (AFTER gives me my total)?

      • Catherine

Give the ECB to the cashier AFTER any coupons, treat them like cash. ( Let the cashier tell you what your total due is.) Just be aware that you can not get “change” back from your ECB, so make sure your total due will be at least the amount of the ECB you want to spend. :)

        • Monica B.

          Thanks, Catherine!

    • brooke_b

I went in to CVS Sunday- did the coke deal, colgate, covergirl, brawny paper towels and a few other deals. I got back $5 ECB, and 2 $2 ECB. I used the $5 ECB immediately on the coke deal. I was looking at my receipts tonight and notice my 2 $2 ECB's expired TODAY! And it was already after 10 so my CVS was closed. But I am wondering how did that happen??? I just got the ECBs this past Sunday I've only been doing the CVS thing for almost 2 months now but I've never noticed that they expire so quickly. Can some one please explain this to me? I am so upset that I have wasted $4 in ECBs!!!

      • brooke_b

Ignore my last comment completely.. I have been sick since sunday night and apparently stayed up too late tonight because I when showing the ecbs to my husband I suddenly realized that they both expire MARCH 16… ;) Silly me.. going to go stick my foot in my mouth now.

    • amich

I just went to CVS and bought two crest prohealth rinse bottles and two covergirl face products. I used 2($2) off coupons for the crest prohealth rinse and the B1G1 coupon for cover girl and the $1 off coupon for covergirl. I used 7 ECB's and my total beforet tax was a penny! AND I got 12 ECB's back! Thanks Jenny!!!

    • Debbie

In the cover girl “deal idea”, you are purchasing 2 CG items and using a B1G1 coupon plus another coupon. My CVS said NO WAY! Would only let me use the B1G1 and another if I bought a 3rd item, anyone else run into this?

      • gingerinCA

Did you talk to the manager, or the cashier? This doesn't mathc their policy, so I'd hope that the manager would have said, “go ahead and take them.” That being said, I've had cashiers refuse to let me use 2 coupons on a BOGO, but not often.

      • itismedia

They should let you use both as the BOGO coupon is for one item and the cents off is for the other item.

    • Erin B.

Had to share my unusually pleasant experience at CVS today. The nice cashier I like was not there today – only the manager who scrutinizes my coupons like a prison warden. I honestly thought about leaving seeing as I was going to use a b1g1 and a $1 q for the cover girl. But I decided to give it a try. When the b1g1 q beeped, she actually backed out the $1 q and then rerang them in a different order so that I got my full $7 off! Without me even asking! What a treat! I ended up getting two things of makeup, toothpaste and my need-it-now children's claritin for about $4 oop. Thanks CVS manager!

    • Donna

I found a tearpad for 2.00 of coke cola product and nabisco product. I know the nabisco is not on sale but I will have to see if it can work out or not.. Also with the $2/2 Nabisco and another tearpad..4 12pks and 2 boxes of crackers(assuming they are 4.99 a box and not the greatest price) for 13.98 doesn't seem to sound too bad..?

    • Cyndi

Does anyone know where I can find the covergirl b1g1 coupon? I'm planning my shopping trip and that 1 would be very helpful in keep my oop low. Thanks

      • jackie102

It was in the PG 2/07 insert. :-)

    • jackie102

    • Cyndi

Another CVS question … (and thanks for all the replies as I'm a newbie)
CVS in my area honors both ads (the one that ends on Saturday and the one that begins on Sunday) on Saturday

Wk ending has All Revlon foundation, powder, blush , cncealer or lip B1G1
Wk beginning has 7ECB whn you buy revlon photo ready makeup/powder and color bust lipstick.

Can I buy the foundation/get the lipstick free AND 7 ECB?

I'm curious. I would only do it if I had ECBs to pay for the foundation since I don't wear revlon but I'm trying to figure out this whole CVSing.

      • gingerinCA

You should be able to do both, as long as the Sunday ECBs print on Saturday.

    • spmiller

is the b3g1free coke a coupon or in store in addition to 3/10.00

      • Donna

        It's in store

    • Brooke

I have only been couponing for a few months now, so I have a CVS quesiton I thought some of you more experienced would be able to help me with. Q: This week Crest toothpaste and rinse is on sale. The limit is 2. Can I purchase 2 today and then another 2 tomorrow or 2 just for the sale week?

      • Donna

The limit is 2 for your card so you won't be able to get any more with the ECBs.

    • tammyMD

      anybody know if i can use a b1g1 q and a buy 2 save $$ q to purchase 2 items. THANKS!

      • kelli

you aren't supposed to. you shouldn't be getting an item for free and then getting additional money off of it.

    • this is a little OT but what level of discount is everyone's Valentine's Day clearance at?

      • kelli

50% off, I was told after christmas that they'll change it on the sunday after the holiday. so, on sunday it'll go to 75% off, then next sunday it'll be 90% off. this might just be my store though.

    • Julie

Had to go back for one more trip! They only had one Digiorno pizza so I had to improvise a bit but still…

      Bought:
      -Covergirl Clean Liquid makeup $6
      -Covergirl Clean pressed powder $6
      -Colgate Toothpaste $2.99
      -(2) Chase/Sanborn Coffee (B1G1) $3.99
      -CVS cotton circle pads $2.99

      Used:
      -B1G1 Covergirl Face product
      -$1 off Colgate
      -$13 ECB

      Total OOP: $3.82
Got back $8 ECB ($7 on products plus $1 green bag tag)

    • Donna

I was able to get the Crest Pro health whitening instead of the enamel.

    • Amanda

I have only been at this for 3 weeks now and once I get the hang of it and plan my trip to CVS, I got to the one closest to me and they are out of everything I'm going for, the covergirl makeup, the b1g1 waters and the toothpaste. I went to two of them today and still no makeup. This can be frustrating.

      • Try to go on the first day or two of the sale and you will have better luck! I usually do, but this week it happens to be tonight! Hope they hve what I want…

    • itismedia

I have a question…my daughter wanted some make-up so I gave her some ECB's and coupons to do the Cover Girl deal. She bought the wrong make-up and I didn't get the ECB's for the Deal. Since she used coupons AND paid for most of the order with ECB's can I take them back and swap them for the right items? How does that work?HELP!!!!!!!!!! =+)

      • Brianne

I would call your CVS and talk with a manager. They should be able to help you with it. Most managers I've dealt with have been great about things like that. Plus, the deal is still going on, so it should be easy to fix :) Hope this helps!

    • shelby43

Help! Anyone know the zip code for the Glade $3/2 printable coupon? Thanks in advance

    • joyfullysaving

What an Awesome Week at CVS!!! OOP $3.50 that is with tax, $9 ECB left over and $70 worth of merchandise. The cashier's were awesome… I am so glad I found this site. Thank you Jenny for all you do. My husband is so sweet he made a program in Excel so I can figure out all the transactions ahead of time. I just love supportive Hubbies.. and a great website. :)

    • Rob

Atlanta Savers! Grab today’s Evening Edge. There is a BOGO for Purex detergent. It actually takes $7.00 off. CVS this week, thru Saturday, has Purex BOGO for 1c @$8.99. Bottom line the 3in1 boxes of 20 loads come out to be $1.26 each with tax.

      • jhoran

        Hey Rob,
Thanks for the tip, but isn't the purex promotion at kroger still on.? Buy 2 and get 4.00 catalina back, which would make the 2 purex free and 1.51 extra cash. My sale ends wednesday. Of course, this all depends on if that promotion is still on.

      • jhoran

        Rob,
just found out that the purex deal runs from 1/11/10 – 3/7/10.

        • debbie

I've heard the Kroger/Purex deal is DEAD even though the Cats states sale is through 3/7/10.

          • jhoran

Thanks debbie, I just found out myself last night.

        • jhoran

Sorry Rob. Looks like the purex deal got pulled by purex.

          • GingerinCA

How did you guys find this out? I just did the Purex deal at my Kroger Wednesday night.

            • jhoran

someone posted the website for current promotions at kroger. This way you'll be able to see all the deals. Did you get any purex catalinas?

            • gingerinCA

Yes, when I did it Wednesday night, I got the $4.00 Catalina. Even though I'm not in the south, my Ralph's always runs pretty much the exact same deals as your Krogers. I was thinking of going back and getting the deal again this weekend, but now I'm not sure if I should try. Bummer.

    • Debbie

Hey everyone! Fairly new to CVS'ing and have a question. If I have a rain check for a item, and I use it now, will I still earn the ECB's that go with it?

      • aolss

I was able to get my ECB's with the raincheck. I did have them write that on the receipt (I had bought 3 of the 5 items needed for ECB) and I brought in the ad along with my receipt from the first purchase.

    • Mylexis

Let me tell u I went to CVS and bought 4 air wick starter kits on sale @ 5.99 and color silk hair for B1G1 @3.99 and come oop $9.75. 4 Q @ $5.00 off and the color silk @ the $3.99 price. Get Deal

    • I'm going to frame these and hang them when my husband's at work and see how long it takes him to notice when he gets home!
