    • sarawallace

I LOVE your CVSing! I used to never shop here and now I have an abundance items that I've gotten free!! Thanks so much!

    • zombiemommy

      hmmm slow week:(

    • lisashepherd

When did the mailer go out for the Olay Pro X?

I might use mine at rite aid to get up to the $35/100 PG rebate (expires 2/13) and combine it with the $20 Olay rebate. That should give me an extra $20 from PG, $20 from Olay, $10Q, and $5 of at Rite-aid Q. Pretty much free!

      • GAmeg

It came out in October or early November, I believe. Its been awhile…

    • Brandi

      I think transaction #2 would be $2.98 total due not $.98 ??

      • avenlee

Yeah, I came up with the same amount. Maybe she was thinking you can use (4) 1.00 Q's. But, I don't think you'd be able to use them that way.

    • Vicki

Are the B1G1 Cheerios any flavor? My stockpile is gone and I am desperate as this is the only cereal we eat.

      • Yvonne Butler

If you join Betty Crocker.com, they will email you a $1 off each month.

      • jessheartscoupons

it was any flavor at my store. But you have to pick up two boxes. They don't ring up half price for BOGO like some stores.

    • Debbie33

Is that a good deal on the cherrios? Do you think there will be something better a public or kroger soon?

      • tarabj

99 cents for that size of a box of cheerios is a good deal.

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=621322665 facebook-621322665

I don't pay more than 50 cents a box anymore.

    • Ashley

With the $2 ECB wyb Listerine, Reach Total Care Floss or Toothbrush 2-4 pack $3.99 Limit 2 deal, the B1G1 coupon would make them both free. Two of them would equal 3.99 and then you would get back 4 ECBS because the limit is two, making them both FREE :)

This coupon did not come in the State, so I had to order it.

      • Lisa

        How do you order coupons?

        • Ashley

I go to couponsthingsbydede.com and order coupons that I want that isn’t in my area or if I want more of something. I love that you can search easily and you get them within a few days.

        • Anonymous

I buy them from thecouponclippers.com. does anyone know of a better place?

          • Ginger

I've bought from the coupon clippers, but don't love their 9$ minimum. I've also bought from coupon cutting crew (or is it coupon clipping crew?) and liked them. And, of course, if it's just 1 or 2 small coupons you need, there's always ebay.

            • Anne

I ordered from them and didn’t have a 9$ minimum. I was happy with them. I really like couponcarryout.com Out of Ohio, I live in NC and got them within 2 days both times I ordered. it’s also usually a few cents cheaper.

        • Cole05

I just ordered from coupon clippers Saturday and my minimum was only $3.94 including shipping.

          • gingerinCA

That's awesome! Maybe they've discontinued it since the last time I ordered. Thanks. :)

PS- Just checked, and saw that $3.94 minimum, too. This makes me very happy. :)

    • Donna

There should be a P&G B1G1 coupon in the paper Sunday for CoverGirl makeup. CVS has CoverGirl on sale starting 2/7 B1G1—This makes it FREE!

      • Ashley

My CVS has Covergirl as b1g1 half off. Would it still be free?

      • lynn

the ad says b1g1 50 percent off depending on price and how they ring the coupon up it might still be a good deal

        • Anne

I used mine at Rite Aid who was doing B1G1 50%, Rite aid took off half price of the lesser. I asked the cashier to take off the higher priced product. I explained that when they have B1G1 free we would get it free with a B1g1. So I got two 10+ items and two 3$ and used 2 B1G1 and 2.50 off 2, so .50 for all of it. It also goes toward the P&G at riteaid.

          • kaseyelisabeth

I AM CURIOUS TO KNOW IF ANYONE HAS USED THEIR B1G1 Q's ON COVERGIRL PRODUCTS THIS WEEK AT CVS??? I THINK I AM GOING TO TRY IT SINCE THEY ARE B1G1 50% OFF UNTIL SUNDAY!! I WONDER IF IT WILL WORK!

    • jms2506

do you all do these little transactions one right after the other on the same shopping trip? don't the cashiers get irritated??

      • deniseCLT

i'm new at this, so i've only done the multiple transaction thing twice. but neither time did the cashier get annoyed with me. i think the key is not to do them when there is a line- then it's the other customers that might be annoyed with you. go in the middle of the day when there won't be many people there. the cashiers have been great for me, they're like, “wow!”

      • heather

As long as there is no one behind you waiting the cashiers tend to be patient, But if anyone is waiting behind you after you have finished your first transaction go to the back of the line for your second.

      • http://quidquidquidquid.blogspot.com/ Kate

I usually offer to go to the back of the line if I have a second transaction, and often the cashier will just say it's no big deal and will do my second transaction right then, no problem.

      • WynetteC

I do them all in a row, depending on if anyone is coming up to the register to check out. Sometimes I do a transaction and get behind the next customer. Since it is almost free, I don't mind making it easier on others who shop there. The cashiers know me by name (been doing this since September 2009) and are always friendly.

I'm trying to get starter CVSing using Jenny's guide. The only place on the site that I could find to give them my email set up an online account. They did not send me a coupon. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks

      • Marina115

If you have a CVS card, you need to register it with your email and address. Then it will take at least a few weeks before they email it to you. I actually got mine probably over a month after signing up.

The Nivea lipcare is $3.99… She has it right in the top “deals” section, but wrong in trx#2… and the Nivea lipcare is actually priced $3.19-$4.19 at the CVS that I work at, depending on the type you get… Also, if you follow the link on the current ad deals for Publix for $.50 off French's mustard, you can download a $3.00 Veet coupon. My store–and most stores–have marked down certain Veets to $3.00-$4.95 as a closeout. I got one for $3.00, so I only had to pay $.21 for it (just the 7% sales tax!) AND, scan your extracare card at the machine at the front of the store or check your recent receipts–a coupon for a free Vday card is printing, which should make
it a $1 money maker with ECB! ;]

        • sixsigmamom

The spray on Veet is 50% off and is $4.50. Use the $3 coupon to make it $1.50.

          • bt5

            Hmmm… The spray-on was $4.95 at my store as 50% off… I got the cream one in a tube… Maybe it's a regional pricing thing….

        • kelli

where do you get the veet coupon? my store has a bunch of it on clearance for $2.75!

        • S_Carolina_Girl

The Nivea lipcare products in Charleston, SC start at $2.99. I saw them today at my CVS.

    • Kaisa

I am trying to print the excedrin coupons and it keeps telling me to install the coupon printer even after I just installed it. I have never had any trouble before and thought I had installed all coupon printers known to man. Anyways, I know other people have had this problem. Any advice?

      • Ginger

I think this means you're using the wrong link for your browser. Jenny usually prints 2 links which she marks (ie) for internet explorer and (ff) for firefox. So if you use internet explorer and click the firefox link it won't print.
Somewhere on this site, Jenny has instructions on how to change the URL to make the link be right for your browser. It's just a change of one letter in the URL, but right now I can't remember which letter. If i can find it, I'll come back and post it. Or maybe someone else remembers?

    • Margaret

I have a Nabisco/Wheat Thins coupon that was printed a week or two ago (I can't remember from which site.) It says Retailer Coupon on it and has a Publix logo, but the barcode number starts with a 5 and everything else about it looks like a regular manufacturer's coupon. Is this really a manufacturer's coupon or a store coupon that could be combined with another man. coupon if I used it at Publix? Just trying to figure out whether the better deal is at Publix or CVS this week for Wheat Thins!

      • carolyn090

sounds like a manu., however some places wont take them based on looks alone .they may think the store wouldnt get the money back for it .i have used some like that at cvs in the past .a publix register will read it as it truely is a manu. so no stacking there.i noticed once at publix the cashier was ringing up some manu. coupons w/ a k-mart logo as compeditor coupons so to be sure i stoped the manager and made sure that he would send them to the right place didnt want the store to lose money either.

    • carolyn090

gonna give cvs another try ,dont want to miss out on the body wash.hope the nice cashier is working ! one lady in callahan fla is really mean and rude .she rolls her eyes ,sucks her teeth and acts as if she doesnt know how to do anything.all because she doesnt want to be bothered w/ it.i have not been in cvs in a year and its only two miles away ,instead i drive fourteen miles to walgreens or another cvs .

      • brooke_b

That is terrible! I lucked out living within 3 mi of CVS. I haven't had any trouble with the clerks even the store manager is really nice! There is one that isn't quite as nice of the rest of them but hasn't given me any problems.. there is always one lol. Maybe if you haven't been in that cvs in over 1 yr. that person doesn't work there anymore!

    • JessicaF83

I see that you are saying to use coupons from many months ago. Do they not expire?

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=621322665 facebook-621322665

They do expire, but at various times and dates. Some only give you 30 days to use while others can give you 6-8 months.

    • Sunny

Ok, with the $5 ECB wyb $10 Nivea Products, does that mean that $10 before coupons or after? I was doing the L'oreal $3 ECB wyb $10 and I didn't get the $3 because my total after coupons was $9.74. So, what am I doing wrong?

      • sandnsable

Sunny, this should have been BEFORE coupons. Sounds like you did it right. you should have gotten the 3 extra care bucks!

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

manuf Qs have nothing to do with or without total. They still have cash value-It is like paying with checks not in green currency or credit card. Therefore, your total counts including the manuf Qs. Just look for total on items and not worry about manuf Qs. If in fact you had over $10 spent (sale item price is counted, not regular price), and you used your extracare card, then you shoud have gotten the ECB. You may wanna call cust. svce

      • Virginia

If you were purchasing clearanced Loreal items, that's why you didn't get the ecb. Clearance items often do not count toward ECB deals (especially when the deal is 'buy $x.xx worth of whatever, get back $y.yy ecbs'. Coupons do not affect whether or not you get ecbs, however items on clearance often don't count.

      • MammaOf10

I've had this happen a couple of times. I usually just bring it to the cashier's attention and show them their sales paper for verification. They always manually print my ECB for me.

    • JMorgan

Hey everyone, what is a “Game Day Greats” booklet. Do I have to register for this, or can I pick it up at CVS?

      • Esmelda

I don't have one, but I think they were at Publix.

      • Joy

We found ours in Kroger (East Side Athens, GA) in the freezer section in a box display with Nab. Crackers and etc in it! Couldn't believe we found them!!!

    • Rhonda

New to the CVS shopping thing. I want to know if you can use two coupons on b1g1 free items that have extra care bucks? I want to get the NAture Bounty vitamins and have 2-$1 off coupons

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Absolutely yes. CVS accepts 2 coupons on even on b1g1 items. The rule of thumb is one manyf Q per item is fine anywhere not just CVS. I had $5 on any Bounty coupons and combined two on two ult vitamin $9.99 and got both free (with overage of 1 cent)

      • brooke_b

You can – You are getting two items so you can use 1 manufacturer coupon for both. So you will get $2 off.

    • brooke_b

Last week at my CVS they had coupons at the aisle with excedrin.. I knew this was coming so I picked some up ($1/1) – glad I did!

    • Anonymous

go to http://www.southernsavers.com/about/couponscom/ there is a 2 dollar coupon for Excedrin 20count

      • WynetteC

Nice work! Though I didn't see it listed in Jenny's actual coupon link list, it was on coupon's site page! Yay! I really needed the excedrin, we just ran out and it's the only thing that will calm a migraine for me.

    • Laura

There is also a $25 rebate for an Olay Pro X purchase of $50 here:
      http://www.olay.com/Club_Olay/jan2009/images/ProX_Rebate_Form.pdf

      • Dale

        This rebate was for 2009.

    • jhoran

I'm thinking that the b1g1 q for the reach toothbrush does not apply to the value pack. It states “on any single toothbrush”

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

I think there is another one that I used. That one says for both single pack or value (2) pack. Not sure the date, but check the above reference or do a search what date those coupons were included in inserts

        • jhoran

          Thanks for clearing that up.!!

    • lisaajenkins

I took my husband with me to CVS last week. He walked with me around grumbling about all the things I was putting in the basket that we don't use. I let him swipe the debit card and when I did the transaction for the 2 packages of Huggies, the total was $.48. I don't think he talked for 5 minutes after that! It was awesome to show him that all the stuff I come home with every week, I am not really paying for and is less than the product I”m going there to get. Thanks for everything!!

      • brooke_b

I took my husband with me last weekend and it really amazed him as well. He was poking fun at me sitting cross legged in our living room cutting coupons at the coffee table ever Sunday — but I bet he won't anymore!

        • georgiamom

My hubby used to complain, sometimes he would poke fun at me. Then one day we went to Bi-lo & bought over $80 worth of groceries for $31. I too let him pay the cashier. He did not say ONE word the entire trip home! Now he is almost as bad as I am when it comes to couponing and grabbing those sales! LOL Now if I could only get him to sort and file the coupons…..

          • kaseyelisabeth

Haha! Yeah my boyfriend was complaining about how long we took to find everything… but I kept telling him it would be worth it when we paid!! Our bill was over $90 and with the bonus card and coupons brought it down to $34!! He was excited swiping his card!!

    • Bettyann

Hello Im new at CVSing can I use 2 coupons for the same item at one time? or do I need to ask my CVS what there rules are OR are all CVS rules the same?

      • Alicia

You can only use two coupons on one item it you stack a store coupon with a manufacture coupon. You can not use two mfc. A mfc starts with a 9 or 5. Typically store coupons start with any other number but those two.

        • Bettyann

does anyone know of a coupon semniar in North carolina some where around Charlotte? and are they anybody out there near Shelby NC?

          • Donna

bettyann you can look at the top where it says couponing workshops to see if Jenny will be any where in your area

    • Linda K.

Ladies I am new to this but how much are you spending on printer ink and paper. Where are the discount for those items.

      • JT

I purchased a cheap laser printer (was on sale for $70-$80 @ Best Buy). Prints only b&w but I haven't had any trouble with anyone taking b&w coupons. Can print over 1000 sheets on one $30 toner cartridge.

        • Rachel

I saw at work that we had several old laser printers in the closet….I asked my boss, and the only reason they were “retired” is they printed black streaks on the edges of the paper…not good for a business, but not a problem for coupon printing. I bought one off him for 20 dollars, including full toner. I also don't buy paper for printing coupons. We have a HUGE amount of paper in our recycle bin from printed reports and such….blank on one side, printed on the other. I have been printing my coupons on the reverse side for months and have never had a problem with stores not taking them, or not scanning correctly.

      • Ginger

I buy my ink on ebay. Not manufacturer brand ink, but super-cheap, off-brand made-in-China ink. Works fine.

      • Natalie559

You can refill old ink cartridges at walgreens for 9.99 when they have it on sale, regularly 12.99. We tried this for the 1st time a few weeks ago at its done great! And we only print in black and white for coupons.

        • Linda K

I tried the CVS refill but they did not take my HP cartridge. I was told it was only certain HP cartridges with have certain numbers on them which was not mine unforturnately.

      • http://www.facebook.com/Jesterrose Amelia Mallner

Staples had some for free day after Thanksgiving last year. I haven't even finished my first ream and I bought 4. I also take my ink to WAGs with my RR to fill with ink.

      • tarabj

I bought a Kodak printer & the cartridges are 9.99 normally.

        • Suemh

I also have Kodak and love it. I just ordered 8 cartridges (3 color. 5 black) from Amazon for 48.95.

      • Anonymous

If you have an Epson or Canon, check out Megatoners.com or carrotink.com for “off brand” cartridges. We have an Epson WorkForce 500 and cartridges are $3 and $7 at those two sites. If you have a different type of printer, it may be cheaper to just buy a whole new printer, as some like Lexmark and HP don’t allow “off brand” cartridges and you are stuck buying expensive ink! Check these sites before buying a new printer to check that they have “off brand” ink for your printer. Our latest buy happened to be on ebay (14 or so cartridges for about $26!).

      • Alicia

I am new at this too but I've just disAcovered Walgreens carries a generic brand ink that is called “Corner Office” and it is alot cheaper than HP. I only print in black, and instead of the HP being 27.99, Corner Office Brand is only 16.99 for black ;) Hope this helps <3

      • Carol

I buy my ink at clickinks.com. For my HP printer the off brand black cartridges are $6.25. They also have package deals and free shipping this week on all orders. I then take the empty cartridges to Office Depot for $3 credit.

        • Ashley

I just bought in from this place! How awsome is this! I paid 9.16 for 3 blk ink cartridges. I did the b2g1 free and there was no sales tax or shipping! That is the cheapest I have ever paid for ink! Thanks for the site recommendation!

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=621322665 facebook-621322665

Buying your ink refills will lawyas be cheaper in Ebay! We were buying off brand cart. for about $10 ( our printer takes 6 different colors), but with the dramatic increase in printing, my hubby decided to buy the refill kit and do it himself. So far so good! he just refilled them last night for the 2nd time.

      • Tracy T

I only print my coupons on 'recycled' paper, just flip it over & print so I NEVER use paper to print q's & most of the paper I use is from junk mail.

        • Cat

I also print my coupons and lists on recycled paper. It's amazing how much paper overruns and miscopies you will find when you put a “paper recycle box” near the copier at work. I just always look over the discarded copies before I print on the back to make sure that no personal information is on it. :)

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

I would recommend a local store that sells refill ink kit for your printer. They cost as lows a $15 for black refill ink and can fill cartridge multiple times at your home. It is the cheapest way. You can do yourself multiple times.

      • Pamela

I have a Canon Pixma IP1500 printer (not made anymore) and buy my ink (generic brand) off Ebay for $1 color or black. You will find these printers on Ebay going for a couple hundred dollars but they are superior printers. Be careful to buy only a new printer as the older used ones are sometimes problematic. I have purchased both used and new. The used one ended up quiting after a few months and the new one is still working find. (my original IP1500 has been in use for approx. 4-5 years) If the printer comes up with an error code etc. I google the code and there is usually an answer on how to remedy the problem.(hasn't happened often though) I highly recommend this printer!

      • kelli

I got really lucky with my printer. I live in a college town and the college students throw out all kinds of stuff that's in perfect condition. I was driving over to a friend's place and I saw a printer that looked perfect sitting on top of a desk. I figured I might as well try it out. I brought it home and my fiance hooked it up. It was brand new, only had 5 sheets printed from it. The toner that was in it lasted about 6 months. We ordered some new toner from a discount site and he refilled it himself. I think it was about $10 for the toner but I have no idea what site he used. I haven't had to buy more paper since I started couponing (I had a few reams in the closet)… soon I'll need to find a good deal on that though. I think that Walmart usually cheap paper for about $3/ream.

      • georgiamom

I also, recycle paper & only print in b & w. I get my refills done locally for only $11 and I found out that my printer has a high yield version of the standard cartridge. So for only $11 I get three times as much usage! Check to see if your printer has a high yield version because they are usually much more economical. Happy Couponing!

    • Ashley

      Attention Lexington, SC CVSers—
The CVS by Home Depot takes RiteAid coupons. There is a 2 dollar off excedrin coupon so you can…
      buy 6 excedrin- 15.00
      use 6 coupons –12.00
get back 7 ECBs– You make 4!!

Also, you can use their 5 off 20 there you get by watching videos. :)

      • Bettyann

I will have to see if Shelby NC, CVS has those. Thanks Ashley

      • Ashley

I forgot to mention the coupon is in RiteAids flyer this week and if you use the 5 off 20 you basically can add a five dollar item on for free because you are already at 15 dollars. I love CVS :)

        • Dawn

Check out http://www.encoreink.com. I spent $80 on ink there in 2007, and have only had to buy 2-3 cartridges since. (Each cartridge seems to take 5 refills before giving out.)

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

What Excedrin did you buy 6 for $15? It seems like $2.49 ones which are for 10 count bottles and they do not qualify for ECB. Can you elaborate please? Thanks

        • Anne

I posted same question, I asked the clerk which ones were 2.49 because it does say in the ad 20 count + but then it also says starting at 2.49

      • Anne

Do you know which excedrins were 2.49? The cheapest ones I could find were 4.79 and 5.29 and those were for 20-24 count. I asked the cashier and she didn't know. The ad did say from 2.49, but she said she didn't know which ones those were. I ended up still getting 3 to equal 15 and used 3 2.00 off, so I paid 9 got back 7, but I was really hoping to be able to do the other deal

        • jessheartscoupons

The 10-ct travel bottles were $2.49 at my store. The coupons were only good for 20+ count bottles.

        • Sharon51307

The cheapest I could find are 4.79 and when I ask about it I keep getting told different info. The last person I talked to said that the 4.79 was a 24 count and that they do not sell a 20 count. I have seen this a few weeks ago with the covergirl makeup where it said starting at one price but they all started 2.00 higher than what the ad said. Any one have any suggestions on this? One other employee told me that the ad was for all the stores so I would have to call each store to find out who sells it for that price……….

      • Tonya

I just called our CVS to see if they honor comp coupons and they informed me that they do. It has to be the exact item but it works. Thanks for the input.

    • http://www.facebook.com/Jesterrose Amelia Mallner

Staples had some for free day after Thanksgiving last year. I haven't even finished my first ream and I bought 4. I also take my ink to WAGs with my RR to fill with ink.

    • Ginger

Prescription question. We changed insurance at end of year– before this we got all our meds at the in-house pharmacy, but now we're on our own with regular drugstores. So doesn't CVS usually have some deal where you get a 25$ Gift card or ECB when you get a new prescription filled? Am I just imagining that I saw this somewhere? Need strep meds ASAP, so really appreciate it if anyone knows.

      • norma

I have gotten a coupon for $25 giftcard when you get a new or transfered prescription filled at CVS. The coupon has printed out for me when I scanned my CVS card at the in store Scanner. All my local CVS's have a scanner that you can scan your CVS card once a day at. You never know what coupons will print. I have gotten two of the $25 prescription gift cards coupons in the last month. Other pharmacy's will honor this coupon. I have used both coupons at Krogers pharmacy and gotten Kroger gift cards.

      • Mandy

Sometimes when you scan your CVS card at the scanner in the front of the store, you will get a coupon for $25 GC with a new prescription. Otherwise, I believe they take competitor coupons for new/transferred prescriptions. Hope that helps ;)

      • http://www.facebook.com/Jesterrose Amelia Mallner

They will honor any local competitor's deal also. We had a store that if you had 3 new or transferred prescriptions picked up on the same day you got 100 and CVS honored that.

      • Ginger

Thank you all. You were right, the scanner thingy gave me the coupon- lucky! I thought I had seen the deal somewhere at CVS, but couldn't for the life of me remember where.

      • tarabinnewbernnc

Yes, matter of fact we just did this for the first time last week. However, you have to receive a coupon to do it. I lucked out and got one out of the CVS coupon machine in my store a few weeks back. I saved it and sure enough last week my son had a sinus/ear infection. We took the Rx to the CVS pharmacy and I showed her my coupon and card. When I came back to pick up the Rx I gave her my card, and my coupon she gave me a $25 gift card… my son was excited about that…I gave it to him to use to buy something he wanted and all I paid was $10 for his medicine :-)

      • GAmeg

the CVS in our area accepts competitors coupons in the pharmacy – Rite Aid has a $25 coupon out –

    • dibeedee

Dawn Hand Renewal with Olay is on sale for 99 cents. I used the $1 Q from the Refresh Your Nest For Less booklet & took home some free dishwashing liquid tonight.

      • http://twitter.com/quidquidATL quidquid

thank you so much for the tip! I just did the same thing!

      • jenniferbriggs

When/Where did you get the Refresh your Nest booklet?

        • Ashley

I got my booklet a couple of weeks ago. I believe I get this from P&G by registering on their website. I'm not positive though, I have registered for so much lately that it's hard to remember what comes from where.

          • dibeedee

It is from P&G. Maybe I should have referred to it as Home Made Simple booklet. It's a great source for coupons. Jenny posts links for signing up for it from time to time.

      • Margarett

Thanks for the heads up. Is this offer from 2/7 thru 2/13?

        • dibeedee

It is in this week's ad. It was on the last page of my ad included with the Duracell battery deal.

      • Leisa

Thanks! I've been saving these coupons just waiting for a deal and thanks to you I got 4 bottles for $1 total. I jad 2 $1 q's & 2 $0.50. Awesome

    • http://twitter.com/quidquidATL quidquid

has anyone done the valentine card? do you bring your own photo on a flash drive or something?

      • http://twitter.com/quidquidATL quidquid

update–you make it on the kodak machine, and you can use a flash drive or almost any other kind of memory device. YAY!

    • megansquier

I didn't know you could do multiple transactions in one trip. The usual cashier at the store in Meridianville, AL is a little weird so I wouldn't try it there anyway. When I went in on Friday for the Dove men's body wash, Colgate toothpaste and the energy gels; after coupons and $10 in ECB's from last week it all came to $3.03 with tax plus earned ECB's of $14.48. He kept giving me and my husband funny looks the lower the total went, almost like we were stealing. Luckily I drive right past it on my way to and from work so its an easy pull off the highway stop for me. I've worked out all of the deals except for the Valentines Day card so I only spend $1 out of pocket, not including tax so that means 1 stop a night for me.

    • brooke_b

I have somehow ended up with THREE! $4/$20 Coupons from CVS. Is it $20 after or before coupons??? TIA

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

It is always before coupons. The $4 on $20 purchase means that coupon alone is sufficient for the total purchase if it is at least $20 (before taxes). Give that coupon first and then apply the rest of coupons to take out more from total.

Where did you get $4 on 20 coupon? Link?

        • brooke_b

One came out of the scanning machine next to the cash register that you scan your card at and it will print different types of coupons and the other two were printed at the bottom of some receipts I had gotten back – like extra care bucks. I got the one from the scanning machine on the first day and the very next day I went in there twice and got the same coupon each time. Two of them expire 2/20 and one on 2/16.

          • Mysterious_Mentalist

Thank you! I used to get frequently 5 off coupons printed on receipts (there was not one of those scanning machines not too long ago), dont get any coupon on receipts at all and hardly get those silly $1 off on divine cookies coupons at the machine. I buy a lot so they do not need marketing coupons to lure me into stores. Basically, not so frequent buyers get those coupons to lure them into stores.

    • Brianne

Couponing question! If an item is on sale at a store … buyb 1 get 1 50% off and I have a B1G1 coupon… how would that work?

      • alicia

I was wondering the same thing :)

      • tarabj

I think you would pay the 50% off one item and get both.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

I believe, you will be able to use the coupon for the 100% price and pay just 50% off on the other sale item. Logically speaking, if the store sale were B1G1 FREE, then you could use manuf Q B1G1 free as well and the manuf Q would apply to the item with the higher price, (not on the item that is technically priced $0.00 at the store). Therefore, you should enjoy the higher price item on coupon. On a side note, retailers are getting reimbursed for the item price; so you should enjoy the most benefit. I believe this is what it is and if you find a close-minded employee who wanna do it other way, dont buy. Call CVS; such employees need to be educated.

    • http://twitter.com/quidquidATL quidquid

just a heads up–my Nivea ECBs didn't print and the manager had to print me one manually. keep your eyes peeled!

      • Virginia

It might help if you tell people exactly what you bought so we know what to watch out for. Did you happen to buy the lip balms that are found in little dispensers like at the checkout? Last time there was a Nivea deal, those did not work for the ecbs, only the ones packaged in cardboard and hanging in the aisle worked for some reason. Just wondering if that might have been your particular issue…

        • jessheartscoupons

i bought the Nivea lip balm for $2.99. I purchased 4, and didn't realize until I got home that my ECB didn't print. They were out of something else I wanted, so I'm going to return my items with my receipt and see if I can get the ECBs. The ones I bought were wrapped in plastic on the aisle not at checkout. The ad in the paper says they should be included.

          • Toni

Same thing happened to me with four of the $2.99 lip balms. I noticed that the ECB's didn't print and the cashier manually printed them out for me. She looked through the printed ad first and said it should have given the ECB's since it was th 0.17 size and that is listed in the ad. She said the computer hadn't been programmed properly for that size and should have been. (This was in McDonough GA)

            • anniet1018

Same here happened…Manager printed it out manually for me too.

    • Jessica

I'm in Charleston, SC- I could not find the Nivea coupons in today's paper. We were also missing the SS coupons for Sabra Hummus & Stacy's Chips this week, too. Anyone know any secrets of how to get these coupons if your paper doesn't have them?

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Try a week or two earlier. I saw them in inserts from a week or two before earlier. I am wondering, you might have them in some previous inserts. Though, I am in a different region-so not sure if you will actually find them

    • Max2009

Where is the $1.00 off coupon for Nivea in RP 2/7/10? I only see the BOGO.

      • Tissa27703

I can't even find the BOGO. That's why I am back here this morning. I'm new to this, totally getting it but wondering if I'm missing something with the nivea q.

      • Ashley

Where did you find the BOGO? I didn't find anything for Nivea in the RP in Chattanooga, TN.

        • JoMastro

Jacksonville doesn't have the Nivea coupons either.

        • jessheartscoupons

FYI: The Chattanooga Times is terrible about coupons!!! It has about half the coupons the Atlanta Journal gets. I get my mom to mail me the coupons from the AJC, and I have completely stopped buying the Chattanooga Times.

      • Mary

We didn't get the Nivea BOGO in the Orlando Sentinel either. Bummer :0( But I did get some other awesome deals!!

        • Amy

No Nivea BOGO coupons in Dickson Tennessee either. Bummer, but still got some good deals. Thanks Jenny!

          • helenbarnes03

            not in birmingham,al

      • brooke_b

The AJC had the BOGO on the nivea lip & a couple other nivea coupons

    • Alicia

Hi – I am new to this… Just 2 weeks in, and I am totally addicted. I live in the New York and we don't have any of your grocery stores here. I can only use the CVS deals and Target. I am wondering if anyone knows of a site that helps with tips on groceries in the northeast?

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=621322665 facebook-621322665

Do a google on Be centsible grocery gathering. They have a page listing grocery stores in all the states, click on your state and it will show a bunch. Find one that works for you.

      • Anonymous

hotcouponworld.com has all the different stores (including pharmacy).

      • http://www.southernsavers.com/ Jenny

Click on the link on the right hand side of the site to go the BeCentsAble and you will find a list of sites that cover stores by state.

    • Logibearsmommy

I don't know if I am missing something or not but my cvs (chattanooga, tn) didn't have 24ct excedrin for 2.49. The bottles for 2.49 were only 10ct. The 24 ct is excluded at this cvs, per the cashier. The paper reads excludes 100+24 ct so I thought that there was a value pack or something that had two bottles. The 24 ct bottles were ringing up 5.49-7.49 per bottle. Can someone explain this if I am not doing something right? Thanks!

I found the same thing at my CVS- no qualifying Excedrin for less than $4.79- the cheapest 20 count they had. I asked the manager- pointing out in the ad where it says starting at 2.49- were there any for that price that counted for the ECBs. She couldn't find any either so she price matched two of the $5.29 ones for me (by this time, they were cleaned out of the $4.79 ones!!) to 2.49 and I paid the full price for two. I had 4 $2/1 q's so it worked out in the end, more or less.
They are super nice at that CVS, will do anything for you. THe only drawback is it's a smaller store so they don't always carry everything in the ads.
I'm in Nashville and this is the Nolenville Rd store, if anyone is wondering.

    • rtbbbrice

I didn't see any Nivea coupons in RP on 2/7??

      • Virginia

Sometimes coupons are regional – sounds like your area didn't get them.

    • rtbbbrice

I didn't see the Nivea coupons in RP on 2/7?

      • joybuyer

No Nivea coupons here in central florida either!

    • Linda

There was apparently an unadvertised deal with the M&Ms today…I got 2/$5, used my $1/2 MQ, and received $2 ECB back!! Only paid $2 for 2 bags…sending my man to get more since it said I could do the deal again (at the bottom of my receipt). Remember the Q expires today (Sunday).

      • Alicia

        What State are you in?

      • Kelley

This did not work for me. I tired last night. No worries since my kids will still eat the M&Ms.

    • Melissa from Summerville

so can you use the venus coupon from the pg 2/7 along with the bogo coupon pg 2/7 to get the the razor for $7.00 and olay body wash free?

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Yes. One manuf Q per item is fine.

    • sixsigmamom

I don't know if I'm alone, but I read the Garnier Nutrisse deal wrong. You have to buy the Cleanser AND the moisturizer. My CVS, in Cumming, GA has it posted that you have to buy $18 worth to get the $5 ECB.

Also, our Dawn was on sale for $.99 but not the Hand Renewal, different bar codes.

      • Susan

Same here…I went to the CVS at the Avenue on Exit 13 and saw that, too.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

My area CVS has it for buying the moisturizer AND cleanser to get $5 ECB, no total $18 requirement (staes, item price starts at $5.99). Therefore, the total is at least $12, and use $2.50 coupon and $1 coupon makes it $8.50 due with $5 ECB, for net payment of $3.50. Not sure if its a deal for those who would otherwise not buy those items.

Also, the ALL tyoe of Dawn including Hand Renewal is for 0.99 cents so with $1 coupon, you get that free where I am.

    • Karen

Who knows where the best deal is for getting a prescription filled, I have 3 and I have heard there are alot of places giving out gift cards. Thanks

      • LoriMama

google “rite aid prescription coupon” and one of the links should take you to a pdf file hat has a $25 gift card coupon for a transferred rx. i usually take these to publix and kroger and do my grocery shopping this way. it's harder to find a new prescription coupon – i've only been able to find them through target (either their web page or in circular) and then it's only for $10. once i get the rx somewhere, i just transfer it back and forth every month wherever i want to shop. hope this helps!!

Wondering about the Gillete Deal. I have a coupon for buy body wash get a free deodorant…Body wash counts for the buy $15 get $5 ECB, and the deodorant is buy one get $1 ECB. My question is, can I still use a $2.00 of body wash coupon for an item that “get one free”?

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

As a thumb of rule, one manuf. Q per item. I believe the coupon is buy Gillette Deo and get body wash free, not other way round?. If thats the case, you buy Deo and body wash, use 1 $1 off deo coupon, and use 1 buy deo and get free Wash coupon for the Gillette body wash. $2 coupon will not apply because you have already applied a (free) coupon (valued $4 in this case) to the body wash. Cant use two coupons for the same item-it is one or the other. Of course, free coupon ($4) is more valuable than $2 one.

      • Leslie

I used that Q today. I got one Pantene hair care (used a $1.00 Q), two Gillette deod (used $1 Q on each) three Gillette body washes ($2 Q on one and the BOGO on the other two) and the Fusion razor (used a $4 Q). I only paid 1.98 OOP and I got $2 ECB on the deoderant, $5 on the P&G deal, and $4 on the razor. It also printed a $4 off $20 coupon. And I still had $1 ECB left from last week! If you use the coupon and do both in the same transaction, you will get the ECB for both deals; you won't have to give up one to get the other just because of the coupon!

        • Mysterious_Mentalist

What is OOP? How is the balance $1.98 when the pantene alone is $3.50 each, and 2 deos and one of your body wass purchase would total more after coupons. Do you mean after using your previously earned ECBS?

    • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/O7STJG3QMKC6KSUASVJHTRCARA rose

Does anyone have Nabisco 1 dollar off coupon? Where can I find it on the archive? Thanks!

    • jessica

I noticed that if you buy 4 gillette body wash @4.00
and 2 gillette deoderant @3.99 and use the following coupons its a good deal.
      total before coupons 23.98
coupon from cvs 4 off 20 purchase
coupon on gillette deoderant 1.00 pg 12/27 use 2
coupon on gillette body wash 2.00 pg 02/07 use 2 or if they let you 4
and also gillette deo purchase free body wash pg 2/7
your total with 3.00 ecb gives you it all for $2.98 no ecs 5.98 still a great deal i will use body wash for stocking stuffers in December. now if they let you use 4 2.00 off body wash along with the bogo free coupon then you dont have to use ecb and your total is 1.98 or without the 4 off 20 5.98

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Also, in addition to $5 ECB for PG, you will also get $2 for buting 2 Gillette Deos

      • Virginia

You can use your 2 $1.00 deodorant coupons, but you cannot use both the free bodywash coupon AND 4 $2.00 bodywash coupons, b/c that would be using 5 coupons for bodywash when you're only buying 4 bodywashes. You'd be best to use the 'buy deo get bodywash free' coupon and then 3 of the $2.00 bodywash coupons, along w/ your 2 $1.00 deo coupons.

        • Mysterious_Mentalist

You misunderstood her post. She is right. She is buying 4 washes and two deos, so she is using 2 deo coupons, 2 wash coupons, and 2 free wash coupons. That is perfect. She is just stating it would be great if the cashier pushed through 2 additional $2 wash coupons that would normally not apply.

    • Mysterious_Mentalist

I have an idea for PG $15 products to get $5 ECBs

      Buy
      1 Perfect 10 haircolor $9.99
      2 Gillette Deo $3.99 each
2 Gillette Body wash $4 each
      Total :- $25.97

      Use
      1 $5 off perfect 10
      2 $1 off Deo
      2 B1G1 Body wash

      Due: 10.97
Get:- $5 and $2 ECBs still not bad

Even better if you can use $5 off $20 coupon
      Then
Due:- 5.97 get back $7 in ECBs

      • Stephanie Barber

How can you use 2 B1G1 body wash coupons if you're only buying 2 body washes?

      • Stephanie Barber

Nevermind. I now see your post from a little earlier that the B1G1 is for deoderant and bodywash.

    • Anonymous

      $2.00 OFF EXCEDRIN 20+count at coupon.com = MONEY MAKER :0)

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Yep, we have it. But, it still does not give you a deal. The minimum price for one with ECB qualified is $4.79. You will have to buy 4 for a total of $19.16 (3 will give total of $14.37 just short of $15). Using 4 coupons will deduct $8, so you end up paying 11.16 and get $7 back, that is $4.16. Not sure if its a good deal. Let me know if I am missing anything. (How did you get “moneymaker?)

        • Virginia

B/c the ad makes it seem as if there is a 20 ct that's only $2.49 – which there's not since the $2.49 one is only 10 ct.

    • savergirl

I got a fusion razor week before last, and the register says that I have met my limit. Does that apply to this week's add? Can I buy another one and get the deal, or is it over for me? How long do these “limits” last?

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

I think it has been answered several times and also think in marketing terms. Each week starts a new “deal/Limit” for the advertised product. So if you bought even last week with a certain limit, it is past history. They want you to come back this ongoing week and buy more for this week and on. So, yes, the “limit” is only for the advertised week duration. After that, it is all over again from square 1.

    • paige_michael

the coupon for the nivea lipcare-B1G1 free coupon-was not in my red plum? anyone else have the same issue?

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Bad… you are in the region where it was not included. On a random thought, it would have been nice if all here exchanged regional coupons by mail for mutual benefits-but just a thought.

        • paige_michael

do you know how i could find one of those coupons before the deal is up? are there any websites for coupon exchange?

          • Mysterious_Mentalist

Nope, I do not know any website for exchange but it would have been good if there were such a network to exchange coupons where there are regional differences (anyone know such exchange?). There are some available on ebay though. I found one listing 10 Nivea coupons for bid as of now .99 cents plus 0.50 postage. I dont know if it will be worth it.

Also, I used $1 off coupons on Any Nivea product with the BOGO lip coupons. So you may wanna check listings that will get you both soon. Good Luck!

          • Tracie

There is an exchange! Click on the “Coupon Traders” box on top right hand side of this page. Good luck!

What is CVS return policy if you get items that you get ECB?

Example: I bought the excedrin and got 7 ECB however the excedrin was not 2.49 each it was 4.79 each and i payed 14.00 for four bottles of excedrin. I dont think that is a good deal. I would like to return them however i used the 7ecb that i got.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Not sure the exact policy but they would not refuse the return. Go back with receipt and they should be able to refund you cash/credit whatever you paid. Returning the item doesn't have anything to do with ECBs issued; however, I am not sure if the return receipt will pop up ECBs issued on the regitsre for the employees to see and/or if CVS is keeping the record of who is returning items frequently after getting ECBs. You could always return without receipts and get store credit.

On a side note, if you used coupons and/or ECbs towards this purchase, then that amount is issued refund in store credit.

      • Logibearsmommy

I did not think that was a deal. I had this same thing happen to me yesterday except my total was higher than yours, more like 21 something. I just had them void the transaction and she gave me my coupons and ecb's back. I haven't tried to reuse them yet but I hope that it works when I do. Does anyone know what the deal with the excedrin really is? My cvs didn't have 24ct bottles for 2.49. They ranged anywhere between 5.49 and 7.49. Any help would be greatly appreciated about this one, I really need the excedrin!!

      • kelli

my cvs is totally insane about returns. I tried to return something once because it didn't print out my ecbs and they wouldn't take it back because I paid with coupons and ecbs and only spend tax oop. I called cvs customer service and I was told that if you pay for something with coupons and/or ecbs, they should give you your money back on a money/gift card or print a coupon off of the register (like ecbs). I was told that if you're trying to return something with a receipt, there is no reason that a store shouldn't take it.

        • Mysterious_Mentalist

This is absolutely wrong and possibly in violation of consumers protection laws. It makes me sad when I see such uneducated employees forcing their limited understanding onto others. Coupons have cash value. CVS has already cashed those coupons on your behalf. It is like they are refusing you your refund for checks. Since they cant get you your coupons back that they have cashed, they have to give you credit for them. They do not return the cash received on coupons to manuf. on items that have been returned-There is no system setup to keep track of all of that. Similarly, ECBs are your earned rewards, therefore, you should get the “rewards” back to use them somewhere else.

Also, think logically and sensibly; you could have returned the item without receipt for a store credit. Therefore, any employee making such statement that you paid with coupons and therefore no return, is a fool. They are simply encouraging people to forget about the receipt altogether and just return without receipt.

Immediately report the store to CVS. The store employees need to be educated.

I have question about RiteAid though. I heard from my local RiteAid manager, that they now asks for ID for returns without receipts. Is it true? (I dont use Rite Aid at all; gave them away for great CVS.)

          • kelli

I was dealing directly with the store manager when I tried to make the return. I had to argue with her for about 10 minutes for her to finally give me a money cared with my money on it. She just wanted to take the shampoo that I “paid” $9.98 for but costs $13.98 regularly and just give me the $1.24 that I paid out of pocket for it. That store has horrible customer service, so it's not all that surprising to me.

            • Mysterious_Mentalist

This makes no sense. $1.24 for $13.98 item that they will resell and thus make plenty of profit again on someone else's. One might as well return it w/o receipt for full credit. This can even be legally challenged if they did it to you. You can demand your coupons back, ECBs back and/or require them proof that they have returned the cash reimbursed on manuf. Q to the manuf. Please call CVS so that they may be emailed and called for clarification on that. You may actually be doing the store a favor to avoid future problems for them and for consumers.

            • kelli

it took me about a month to get the product items returned. I originally bought 3 of the, making it $14.97. It was a buy $15, get $5 deal and I wanted to try the shampoo. Usually hen you buy $14.97 worth, it'll print out the ecbs, but for some reason it didn't… I didn't realize this until I was home that evening. The next day I went in with my receipt and items that I purchase and I was told that I had to buy another item to make the total $15+. So, I tried it. The ecbs didn't print and I returned the item right away getting back my coupons and ecbs. The cashier and shift manager wouldn't take my original purchase back though. I came home and called customer service to complain/clarify their policy and was told that I should be able to return it with no problem. She then said that she's look into why the ecbs didn't print. She said that they should have and said she'd call me back in a few days once it was researched. She never called back, so I called them back. I was told that I didn't buy enough of the qualifying items, which was crazy but I said that I would just go return the items. I went into the store a few times trying to return it but the store manager was never there and I was told that she had to approve the return. It was ridiculous. When I finally did get to talk to her, she was very rude (as usual) and told me that “this time” she'd return the items at full price but next time this wouldn't be the case. I just said “okay” and took my money. They put it on a money card, so it's not like I could go spend it elsewhere.

I mostly shop at the other store in my town now. It's a little further away but much more pleasant.

    • paige

my RP doesn't have the nivea coupons listed in transaction 2. is the info correct? thanks!

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Read earlier posts. I think it is clear that your entire region south/souteastern didn't get those coupons, not released in the region.

      • WynetteC

I bought the AJC (Atlanta) and it did have the Nivea coupons in it. The B1G1 coupon states .17 oz-.35 oz. And the $1 off any Nivea product coupon is on another page and it pictures body wash and lotions on it but states sizes 2.0 oz to 16.9 oz. So even though I have both coupons, the size requirements on the $1 coupon appear that they will not work with the lip products. I think read someone's post about that somewhere else.

        • georgiamom

Do you ever get the Savannah Morning News? Are the q's about the same as the AJC? I looked into a subscription for both of them but I only save a few cents on the Savannah paper & the AJC was more than twice as much. TIA

          • WynetteC

I haven't seen the Savannah Morning News here in West Georgia. I only buy the AJC and not through subscription. On Sundays only, you can find two AJC newspapers (Early and Late edition) bundled together for only $2.50! Grocery Stores and Gas stations stock the AJC Daily Double here on Sundays only.

I am VERY disappointed that my paper (THE STATE in Columbia, SC) did not contain the Nivea B1G1 Q's!!!! Anyone know how I could get some? Thanks!!!

Greenville News didn't either, what's that about?

They were not in the Florida Times Union paper either (Jacksonville, Fl)

      • Anne

you can order them from a coupon clipping site. I live in NC and have used couponcarryout.com (ohio) and thecouponclippers.com (FL) I have always received them in 2 or 3 days from placing the order. I think they are like .25cents (well you aren’t paying for the coupon it’s the handeling fee) If you do this though add some others in because shipping is the same (it’s less than 1.00)

    • flower_mom

I'm not sure if anyone has posted this yet, but you can get a $1/1 wheat thins q by becoming their fan on fb! With the sale this week, that makes them FREE!!

New to coupons/CVSing…. got my first 4 off 20 in email today for signing up for the bonus card. Is this a one time deal or do they send these periodically? I was grateful to get even one, just curious.

    • WynetteC

Anyone besides me noticing that the red machine box that you scan your card at doesn't give out the $3 off $15, $4 off $20, etc when you swipe your card?
I get the generic ones but I have been finding other people's discarded and HIGH value print outs like $10 off $50 CVS coupons and such lying around the store. Can't use them since they are linked to other cards. But still wondering why I have been unable to get a $5 off $25 or lower since Christmas to print out.

      • Virginia

These coupons are random to some degree, but also most likely based on purchasing habits. Many people find that 'new' cards will get these types of coupons for awhile, and then they'll stop after the person has been shopping frequently for awhile. I'm betting that they are more common for people who haven't been into CVS in awhile, too, to try to get them to spend money when they haven't been in lately. There's nothing that you can personally do to immediately affect which coupons you get. I wish there was. It's either completely random or CVS has some formula or criteria that we are unaware of and that probably has something to do w/ our activity over a certain amount of time.

        • Mysterious_Mentalist

It is clear to me that it is not random. Their system has probably a logarithmic formula that keeps track of shopping trips etc. The more frequently you shop/buy, less likely you will get $5 Off coupons because you are already in there. The primary purpose of those coupons is to lure shoppers into stores and to have them spend more. If you are lready doing that, you are out. Maybe, if we stop shopping for a while, then we will get some.

    • Audrey

It may have already been mentioned, but CVS has been having a green dot and pink dot sale for a while on certain products in makeup, green being 75% off, pink 50%. The dots are just on specific products within the line. They are trying to get rid of them, there is nothing wrong with them. At the one I went to, Revlon, Loreal, and Almay had 75% off and I combined it all with coupons and came away with almost $40 in makeup and spent only about $6. You may want to call the specific CVS before you go just to ensure that they are having the sale, but all the ones I have visited are!

      • Virginia

The clearance has been going for weeks now, and it's been featured in the ad once or twice. All stores are clearing out certain items, and some are even already sold out of most of the good stuff that comes out free with coupons. Congrats on your great deals. :)

    • wyattbrysontylersmom

I had a great trip to CVS today ! I bought 2 boxes of Triscuits, 2 boxes of Wheat Thins, 1 box of Ritz Crackers, 2 Nivea lip glosses, 1 Nivea bodywash, 1 Secret Flawless deodorant, and 1 Reach toothbrush 2 pack for a total of $ 8.90 after coupons and ECB's ! I also earned 11 more ECB's for next week ! Not bad – I've never really shopped at CVS before, but I am loving it ! Thanks Jenny for all of your help !!!!

The $1.00 nivea coupon is actually not valid for the lip stuff – none of the lip stuff meets the 2oz+ size requirement listed on the coupon.

        • amich

I used the B1G1 for the lip stuff and found a mens body wash for nivea for 4.99. the lip stuff was 2.99 each. I used a 2 dollar off men's body wash and only paid 6 dollars! Actually it was in ECB's so I didn't pay anything technically. Hope that helps

    • itismedia

Okay, I work Publix and Kroger like crazy and have for years, but I have never bothered with CVS and I am wanting to try it. I read Jenny's CVSing Guide, but one question, If the deal says, for example, purchase 20.00 of any of these products recieve 5.00 ECB – do I need to purchase all 20.00 worth in one order to recieve the ECB or just within the week that the deal is going on?

Thanks in advance for anyone that helps. I am playing with items to try and get started.

      • cq

You just have to purchase the $20 worth of items within the week of the deal . . . at the bottom of your receipt it'll tell you how much more you have to spend before you get the ECB's.

        • itismedia

Thank you! It makes my deals work better dividing them up (I think)!

        • georgiamom

I have also noticed that some deals run longer than the week of the ad. For example the Eucerin Lotion Deal purchase still count this week too!

      • WynetteC

It's addicting! For everyday items you use, you will have SO much after a few months if you keep up with rolling your ECBs from week to week. The key is utilizing the ECBs to your best advantage and sometimes you will get store coupons for $$ amount off $$ total purchased. Those coupons are your real money makers.

        • itismedia

I am already excited! I have been working out what to buy first, second…I think I have it down to about 50.00 in products for 16.00. I would be using all my ECB up. Should I be saving some back for another week?
Here is what I came up with, would let me know if I am doing something wrong.

          15.00 in Nivea Lotion – 5.00 coupon (10.00) (Can't find exact price)
          OOP 10.00 ECB 5.00

          2 Gillette Deo's 7.98 – 1.00 (6.98)
          2 Gillette B.Wash 8.00 – 2 /BO Deo GO BWash (0.00)
          -5.00ECB
          OOP 1.98 ECB 2.00

          Perf.10 H. Color 9.99 – 5.00 coup (4.99)
          -2.00 ECB

          Thanks!

          • WynetteC

I love your enthusiasm. And here's a tip:
If you don't need it, and it's not close to free or what you would think is a great bargain, don't buy it just to use the coupon. The aim is to earn ECBs back with every ECB you spend, so that you aren't coming out of pocket much at all. :)

            • itismedia

SorryI am so late thanking you. I am a mom of 4 and in school with 3 papers due this week! Thanks so much for your advice. I worked the deals out again so that I should have 7 ECB's to roll over.

    • selina

I went to two different CVS stores today- only 1 day after the Sunday ad and the stores are already out of stock on the Gillete body wash and other items. Ran into same issue for Walgreens trying to get the Dove body wash…. Do you have to go first thing on Sunday to get these deals? How often do the stores restock? Seems they should be better stocked for advertised deals.

      • Mandy

I always hear that it is best to go on Saturdays, as they are restocking everything for the new deals on Sunday. This way, everyone has pretty much purchased their deals & the items are restocked.

        • Cheri

They typically restock during the week at least once. I'd just ask at the store when they expect to get more in. Also, sometimes they have more in the back if you just ask. I have found that at one of my CVS stores, they get in new stock on Thursday mornings so it's ideal for me to go around lunchtime as they are stocking shelves.

      • WynetteC

Selina, CVS does give rain checks and those are wonderful when they are out of something. (As long as you get to use it before your coupon expires.) They don't do rain checks on the bonus days things like Oust, and for me, I lucked out on that deal. They have been out since that first run on the items. My stores get a truck every Friday.

      • georgiamom

I found out that my local store receives shipments on Fridays so I will often go in there then. If not I tend to wander in late on Saturdays before the sale runs out. Could be a coincidence but it works for me! Good luck to you!

    • becky

i dont have the nabisco $1/1 q from 1/24 SS. was that a regional thing?

    • Mandy

I was not able to find any Excedrin for $2.49 except for the travel pack. The ad seems a little misleading. Has anyone else discovered the Excedrin that is marked down to $2.49? The lowest price was for $4+.

    • sherra3047

so i got 4 different newspapers on sunday… 1 from lexington, 1 from west columbia, 1 from saluda, and 1 from batesburg and none of them had the nivea coupons in them…. im so mad… why didnt i get one any of those papers???

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

It is pretty clear to me by now that it is “regional”, not just pocket of some city areas. That means, the whole of South/Southeast did not get those coupons, but Northeast did.

So, it does not matter if you traveled few miles here and there to get the coupons. Just try to make sure that you collect inserts from different newspapers because sometimes some newspapers have inserts with coupons that miss one or two coupons that are included in inserts from other newspapers.

        • WynetteC

The AJC (Atlanta) had them. Maybe they felt sorry for us since we complain we get left out so much.

        • CVSing and loving it!

          Charlotte had them!

    • WynetteC

Here's a heads up for anyone thinking of doing the Excedrin deal. Fine print changes everything in coupon lingo, well the buy $15 of Excedrin products get 7 ECB states it only applies to 20 count or larger. The 10 count Excedrin in the single cylinder tube was priced at $2.49 so if those are what Jenny's referring to in the above scenerio, they don't count towards the deal. The 24 count Excedrin Extra Strength was $4.79 a bottle and the cheapest item shelved that would go with this deal that I could find. (Anyone else find something different?)

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

I mentioned somewhere above and it is clear to us that Excedrin is really not a deal unless someone needed them. I posted with details how even after $2 Excedrin coupons, we will still end up paying close to $11 at the register for 4 bottles-(have to buy 4, no way around it). After $7 ECB, we still end up paying close to $5. If someone has net $5 ECB to burn, then it might be it.

        • WynetteC

          Yeah, I didn't get into the amount details but that was exactly what I paid. But it is a need for me since that is the only medicine that conquers a migraine headache. Just makes it harder doing these deals without the $3 off $15 coupons or higher. I can't complain;
Southern Savers has been such a blessing for me to use.

      • anniet1018

I ran into the same issue. The lowest cost Excedrin in my CVS was the 20 count priced at $5.49ea. I thought I would be getting the $2.49 ones so I had six $2 Q's ready to go…but I still didn't do too bad:
        (4) Nivea Kiss of Moisture – $2.99
        (3) Excedrin Migraine – $5.49
        (1) Loreal Hair Color (Closeout) – $5.00
        $33.43
        Used:
        -CVS $5 wyb $25
        -(2) $1 any Nivea
        -(2) B1G1 Nivea Lip $2.99
        -(3) $2 off Excedrine
        -(1) $3 off Loreal
-$10.98 ECB from Dove + Men
        OOP – $0.47 + tax (=$2.18)
        Got back $12.00 ECB!!!

        • Mysterious_Mentalist

Seems like net $1 ECB maker (not counting tax payment); $5 off 25 helped offset the loss of ECBs. Where did you get $5 Off coupon? Even if you have a link to recently expired one, let me know please !

          • anniet1018

The “red flashing box” has been spitting them out every time I scan my card and sometimes on the receipts. Several times a week. I guess it has something to do with some earlier posts in this blog. I've only been CVSing for about 6 weeks, a newby. So I guess they're tying to get me to spend more. My friend who got me into this keeps cussing me because she hasn't gotten any for weeks. If I had a link I would have passed it along.

      • Sharon51307

Well I had to call and speak with the manager but he spoke with his boss and ok'd marking down the 20 cts to the 249 and “gave him a code to force out the ecb's”. He said that the add is for all the stores and that the closest store to me that had the 20 ct at 2.49 was in new hampshire! ( i live in ga) So it took a few mins out of my day but they did honor it.

        • WynetteC

That's great news, but sadly there weren't any of the 20 ct. shelved at my store. And that's the only reason I purchased 24 ct since it was the lowest possible and would still be accepted per coupon guidelines. Now after knowing it was in print in the ad, I am going to try and complicate my situation by asking if they would honor this for the 24 count or not. Never hurts to try. Thanks for the tip!

        • WynetteC

Just asked the store mgr and he said no. It's ok, I'll rebound once the store coupons are available again. :)
Consider it a blessing your store was so lenient.

    • alicia

Does anyone know how I can unsubscribe to the comment thread? I love all of the info, but I have a not so “smart phone” that rings everytime my email gets another message in the inbox… Help!! LOL

    • erins_deals

OK, I'm trying to understand the CVS- transactions thing. If you are handing over a debit card to pay the 1.00+2.98+4.50+ whatever, how is that free? You are getting products for free, but CVS is still getting real money. I'm not complaining, but Jenny says she spent 5 dollars for $1000 worth of products in an 8 month time period. I'm afraid if I start shopping at CVS, I'll end up doing what “they” are counting on, and spending real $$$

      • Kim

You will spend money at first to get started and then you use your ECB to pay for your other things. You just keep rolling your ECB every week and it will be little to no money out of pocket. HTH

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Also, ECBs can not be paid for taxes. So you will be paying taxes frequently. In addition, after using coupons and ECBs, there will always be some change left due. So yes, some cash money will have to be spent in most cases. However, that is the beauty of this game to me, that you need to workout methodically to reduce out of pocket cash.

    • JT

I have seen people with coupons from CVS that say they get a $25 gift card with a new prescription or transferred prescription but I have not seen these posted anywhere.. Can any explain how I can get one of these?

      • Marina

I husband recently got a CVS card in his name and shortly there after CVS mailed him 2 coupons for the $25.00 gift card with a new or transferred script

      • gingerinCA

Walk in the store and scan your Extra Care card in the self-scanner thingy. Hopefully it will print one out for you. My whole family got strep last weekend, and (luckily!) hubby and I both got the 25% GC coupon when we went in for our prescriptions.

    • Bran

I went to the CVS in Trussville, Alabama yesterday for the Ritz crackers deal. The nice saleslady informed me that they had an in-store coupon for a free 6-pack of Coke if you bought the crackers. So, I got 5 boxes of Ritz, a 6- pack of Coke, and a child's toothbrush for $1.26. I did a little dance at the checkout.

    • lenalou

Hello, I'm new to all this never went to cvs before just signed up. Do you have to make multi transactions to get deals. Or will ecb's Print out for each deal with one transaction. exp can I do both the pantene deal and the reach deal and pay 11.49 get 9.00 back or will I have to make 2 transactions.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Deal promised to you by CVS will printout when you fulfill requirements wether in one transaction or multiple. Pantene/PG product deal is independent of the Reach deal. So, both will printout separetly on the same receipt if you conduct the transaction in one; or else, they will print accordingly.

        • lenalou

Thank you for your insight. It is hard to know all the rules when starting out. I've only worked Publix and the now dreaded kroger.

    • carolyn090

i went in once bfore and the kleenex was a three pack b1g1 at 2.39 so if it is the same deal again it would be 2/1.39 has anyone got this deal there in the past ?

    • jennifer

The -$1 Nivea in the 2/7 RP is for any item 2.0 oz to 16.9 oz. Since the lip items are less than an ounce, you're really not supposed to use it on those.

    • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/N5OJGX4WJJBAA6URTPHDUDB7PQ Lynn

jenny…i've been doing this since someone told me about your site in november and THANK YOU so very much! i've been saving SO much money! i have a question, though…i'm seem to miss the big PG saver inserts…i didn't get a paper from 12/27 and i missed it again this past sunday, 2/7…any way i can get those coupons anywhere else? i guess i should start subscribing to the sunday paper…LOL

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Your question is answered multiple times above

    • JudyLynn

I noticed the calculations are wrong on the nivea body wash scenario…unfortunately after i done got it :( oh well anyway here it is they are actually 1.49 each not .99 each.

      **Deal Idea #2**
      Buy:
      (2) Nivea Body Wash $5.99
      Use:
      (2) -$2 off Nivea RP 1/03
      Total Due: $7.98
Get Back: $5, makes it 99¢ ea

      • JudyLynn

oh and you have to make sure you are getting the right ones cause the price said 5.99 but one rang up 6.99. not cool.

        • Sunny

I did this last night but didn't notice that they rang up $6.99 until after I left. The tag said $5.99 for the scent I got. Argh.

    • Sunny

Quick Q, I'm about to head over to CVS again. On the bottom of my receipt from yesterday it says:
      Johnson's, Buy 1 Get 2 EB
      Qty Toward this Reward 1
Qty Needed to Earn Reward 1

What is this promo? And what do I need to do to finish it up?

      • Sunny

        Yesterday I got:
        (2) nivea body wash (accidently got the $6.99 scents) = $13.98
        (2) 24ct Excedrin at $4.79 = $9.58
        (1) 20ct.rapid release at $5.49
        -(2) $1 nivea mqs
        -(3) $2 Excedrin
        -$2 ecb
        TOTAL: $19.05
        GOT BACK $12 ECB

        Today:
        (5) Ritz crackers = $10
        1 20oz can of cashews for DH = $5.88
        -(2) $2 nabisco mq
        -$7 ecb
        TOTAL: $4.88
GOT: $3 ecb, $1 ecb for gbt, & still have $5ecb from yesterday

They had a truck come in last night and either they got no Chocolate Cheerios or someone already bought them all.

    • frau_sauerkraut

I'm a newbie here but I can't find the Nivea coupons from last week's paper. RP does mean Red Plum right? I bought my paper in Columbia.

    • Gina

I used my points on recycle.com to get the 4 off 20 cpn, but how in the world do I print it? It shows that I got it, but I can’t figure out how to actually print it! :)

      • Emily

It comes in the mail! :) They will mail it to the address you provided when you signed up and you should have a comfirmation of your “order” in your email…check the spam (thats where mine was).

        • Gina

Thank you! I'm inpatient when it comes to my CVS cpns! ha!

    • georgiamom

Okay, I have looked & I have googled… Can anyone tell me what the rules are for transferring a prescription and receiving a gift card are? Or where I can read them? Thanks!

    • georgiamom

Can anyone tell me the rules for transferring a prescription to CVS & getting the $25 gift card? I have tried to find the answer online all morning.

PS. If this post is a repeat, I am sorry. My previous post is not showing up so I thought I should repost it. Thanks in Advance.

    • Caitlyn

Hey guys, I have a question. I am trying out my first “CVSing” shopping trip tomorrow. On all of the coupons, it says “Limit one coupon per purchase”. Does that mean for one product I can only use that one coupon? And if so, how do I get to use all the coupons? Hope that makes sense!

      Thanks!

      • http://elpoderdemiscentavos.blogspot.com/ Alicia@Poder de mis Centavos

One coupon per purchase means that you can not use more than 1 coupon for 1 item, in other words, 1 item= 1 coupon; 5 of the same item= 5 coupons.
        Purchase= item.
It is different when it says 1 coupon per transaction or per customer, in that case you would need to do different transactions, depending which store you are at, you may need to go back another day.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Dont worry. Coupons have been out for decades and no one has time to read or care to enforce fine prints. I have almost never seen anyone checking for 1 per xxx and on. Just scan it and be done with it. Even manuf. do not care. You are still buying their items and that is what they like. The coupon use is a tiny percent of all coupons that are sent out. So, they would be thrilled you are using them. Moreover, retailers get reimbursed for coupon face value, so it does not make business sense for them to refuse coupons as it will hurt their own revenues.

I would like to do the Reach deal but my CVS only has packs of 2 or 4 toothbrushes and the coupon says single, I also couldn;t find the floss but had rather have the toothbrushed as I use them to donate to local shelter. How is the deal working for anyone.

    • Jane

I would like to do the Reach toothbrush deal, but my CVS only has multiple packs and the coupons says single. Has anyone done this promotion getting 4packs and using coupon. I am hesitant to try. Also my store did not have the floss so I couldn't use it that way. Thanks for schick deal. I use some of these items for the homeless shelter and they always have a need

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

There is another coupon that applies to single or value pack. Do a search, the coupon is there-I used it on 2-pack.

    • deniseCLT

there is a coupon in PG 12/27 for $3 off Gilette Fusion cartridges. i'm not sure how much the cartridges are at CVS, but the ad says you get a free gilette shaving cream when you buy them, so if they're not too expensive, that could be worth it!

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

It is not worth it. cartridges are way too expensive-even $3 coupon will hardly make it any deal; and the cream itself is hardly $3 or something. This is one of those marketing gimmicks where they want you to buy and spend money all for a small “free” something

    • kristen

I need help! I was in CVS last night and saw these two women 'buying' all this stuff and not actually paying for it… I was intrigued… they directed me to this site… I went to cvs today and grabbed a sales paper and printed my ecb coupons, here is where I'm confused bc I'm not sure how to use them to get the best deal. I have $5.50 extra bucks, $5 off a $30 purchase and $2 off any essence of beauty purchase… Whats the best was to use these?
      Thanks so much!
      Kristen

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

You will need more manuf. Qs to apply to items that you may purchase for a total of $30. So far you have discount $12.50 out of $30 purchase meaning, you will have to pay $17.50 cash. For many of us, that wouldn't be a deal. Read above and make a scenario

    • kelli

Someone above mentioned that there's a $3 off Veet coupon. My CVS has a lot of Veet products on clearance but I can't find the coupon. Can anyone help me find it?

    • cyndycdw

Has anyone gotten a q for $25 gift card at CVS for new or transferred prescription when you swipe card at keosk? I got one last week, but need another. Thanks.

Scan your Care Card in the little machine when you walk in and get a coupon for $1 off CVS tissues. They are .99 this week, so that makes them free. I got 2 for free! :)
