Here are the deals for CVS next week starting this Sunday 3/15. There are a few free items and some other good deals.  I recently found one of my old CVS post linked from a site as an example of difficult to understand couponing, if you agree before giving up on the code below please read the CVSing guide.  (Also please know that I work very hard everyweek to make this as understandable as possible but CVS is not a store a brand new couponer can jump into without practice).

I have included my plan for this week getting $35 for $1.24 out of pocket, scroll down for that scenario.

If you are new to “CVSing” and the Extracare Buck system before trying to decipher all of this go read the getting started guide.

My Grand Plan. This is my plan for the week using the coupons and extracare bucks that I have. I got a $4 off $20 this week and am excited to use it to get cheap shampoo for a brand that I love. (I will use anything, but that still doesn’t mean that I don’t have a favorite).

I split things into different transactions to reduce my out of pocket expense. I do not have large values of extracare bucks so if I bought all of this in one transaction it would cost over $25 dollars or more. Break them up!

    • Hi Jenny,

well, I just wanted to say that I have always found your method easiest to understand. I always use yours as the main one and will briefly check other sites to see if they have listed anything else. Keep up the good work!

    • Melissa

I agree with Delores. This is where I learned 99% of how to do this kind of shopping. And if I don’t understand something you are always good to explain it.

The couponing itself can be hard to understand, but anyone that really wants to learn it can, if they just take the time to read the guides and tutorials and all.

Last year when I first tried to get into the couponing thing, I didn’t have a clue. I went to some coupon sites and tried to jump right in without reading the guides. So my couponing experience went south fast, and I gave up.

But I kept reading at a local message board how all the ladies were shopping and saving, and I wanted to be able to do that, too, so last month when I decided to give it another try, luckily one of the first sites I found was Southern Savers, and I actually read the tutorials this time, and here I am, saving a bundle.

I couldn’t’ve done it without you, Jenny! Thank you!

    • Tracie

      Hi Jenny,

Hey there – I love your posts! I have learned a lot from you! Keep doing what you are doing! And know that I appreciate it very much!

      Tracie

    • Edie

      Hi Jenny,

Your posts are awesome! I’ve added your blog on my Google Reader :-)
I think there is going to be a coupon for Irish Spring Body Wash in 3/15 insert.

      Edie

    • Rebecca

I am new to this and totally appreciate the time and effort you put into- I am looking forward to starting to SAVE MONEY!! ?- how would you use your $4 off $20 coupon to get started this week???
      thanks

    • Wendy

I found your website through a google search a few weeks ago and have been saving money ever since! Thank you for all of the detailed information and links to all of the printables. I would have never figured it out on my own. I love to look at all of the pictures from the great deals everyone is getting. Keep up the good work!

      Thank you!!!!!!

    • Christy

Jenny, can you use the $1.50 off coupon from the March All You magazine on the Colgate deal?

    • Leslie

I just found your website this week and thanks to you I saved $36.50 at Kroger my first time stacking and using the deals you suggested. Then I went “CVS-ing” today and got some of the deals you suggested. I still have $5 ECB from rolling it and will have to find out how to use it best. You have me hooked on all of these bargains. I also saved $50 at Old Navy with the 30% coupon you have as a link. My husband thinks I rock! Thank you!!

    • Lynn

      Jenny~

Your site is the greatest! I don’t look at any other site because this one is so wonderful. I agree with you CVS is one of the hardest to catch onto but when you do it’s great.

    • Brittany

We love all you do!! Thank you so much!

    • Bethany

      Jenny,

You do an AMAZING job and it is because of your site that I got hooked on CVS! You can’t please everyone :)

    • Lorri Ecarma

Hi Jenny – on the Irish Spring, it is a sunday, monday, tuesday item only — does this mean it will not be switch over today (saturday)?? Would I have to wait until Sunday to get the ECB’s on this?

      Thanks for all your help.

      Lorri

      ****
Lori- 3 day specials only start and run on those days so no you can’t get this tonight. Sorry for just seeing your question hope it’s not to late!

    • Andrea

      Jenny,
I love your website, and yes some of this can be confusing ar first, but you explain very well how to do it and I really appreciate all of your hard work!!! Thank you!

So i have a question, last night I went to CVS to get a few items and they said that effective this week nation-wide CVS is no longer accepting internet printable coupons – I hadn’t heard of this anywhere so I thought I would ask the pro if I need to shop at different CVS or this is true. Thanks again!!!

    • cvs has soft and dri discontinued deoderant for 1.07 and they accept any softdri or dri soft coupon that was inthe paper and makes it.07 for the deoderant. i also found foot powder in cvs (lamisil) on clearance and they have $2 coupons on the powder, they ring up $2.00 so they are free.also found out that on the lotion that was on sale last week that any coupon works.

    • Julieann

I agree with everyone else. I found your site several months ago and while I subscribe to about 10 others, yours is the only one I look at in order to plan my deals. Everyone else’s is basically just in case they have a different idea or item on sale. CVS and Walgreens can be difficult at first….you are right that you can’t just jump head first into it.

I think the grand plans can be overwhelming for people not used to CVS’ing, but once you learn the system it is plain as day. I think you do a great job and you help so many people in figuring out how to roll their ECB’s into as few transactions as possible.

Thanks for all you do, Jenny. You are greatly appreciated.

    • Julie

      Jenny,
Your information is the EASIEST to understand. You rock! Thanks for all you do! YOU are responsible for saving my family oodles of money. Southern Savers is such a blessing…

    • Deb

I love your websight and check it often.
      Thanks for what you do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a question……….I know I have seen on something that CVS changes their sale prices at 6pm on Saturday. Is this for every store or just select ones? I am going crazy looking for this.
      Thanks so much!

    • Lori Abbott

You are a genius! I love your website and have never shopped at CVS until now because I thought it was too expensive! It has only been a week but I have already saved over $60! Keep it up!!

    • Melanie

There is a coupon for the Irish Spring Body wash in today’s SS flyer!

    • katie

You are fabulous jennie! I would never be able ti coupon with out your blog! And the deals are very clear when you
      Understand the game!

    • Leigh Anne

For the Pantene deal, some of the stylers are marked 2/$7, get 2 ECBs. So you can get 2 shampoos, 2 conditioners, and 2 stylers using 2 $2/2 and 2 free styler wyb shampoo/conditioner AND get $6 ECBs!

    • Mel

I am new to the CVS gig but I never seem to receive the $4 off the $20 coupon from CVS. Even when I signed up I didn’t get it. Am I doing something wrong? I get coupons that print out on my receipt but that is it – and they aren’t that great either. On the positive note I did awesome this week! $37.76 worth of products for $4.07 – that includes the Fusion razor blades which are soooo expensive!!

    • Yay! I got $85 worth of goodies today for only $2.32 OOP!!!!! LUVIN’ your site!

    • Tonya

Where do you get the B2 G1 Pantene coupon?

    • Jo Anne

First of all, love your site!!! Thank you!!!! I have been doing the CVS thing for months and have yet to find the Reinventing Beauty mag. Does anyne else have this problem?

    • Michelle

Mel – you can scan your card when you first walk into the store (find the kiosk) and it will usually print a $4 off $20 – at least that’s how I get mine.

    • Jenny

Jo Anne – start looking out for it in the next week in your stores near the front and near the beauty area. A new magazine is due in stores anytime.

    • Tracey

I found the Reinventing Beauty mags in the magazine section of my store in the corner of the display. Last time they were in the pharmacy section.

    • Brandi

I am curious also if CVS has stopped taking IP coupons…any word on this yet?

    • Christy

I was able to use the $1.50 off coupon on the Colgate Max so I actually made $1.50!!! Thanks so much for this information! This past week was my first CVS experience…and it was great!

    • Jessica

I noticed my .75cents coupon in the 3/15SS is on any Colgate Total. I also had a $1.50 for Coglate Total from in-home mailer. Will either of these still work for the MaxWhite toothpaste? I used up all my other Colgate coupons for free toothpaste at Wags!

    • Jenny

CVS corporate says that they are still taking printables. If your store says differently just threaten to call corporate (or do it if you have to) and get them straightened out.

    • Jo Anne

      Thanks!!!!

    • Amanda

I found this site and I am SO excited, but i have a dumb question.. For the ECB’s, is it better to buy everything and get a big amount of ECB’s back the first time or break the buying up into sections like it states? Since this is my first time and i have accumulated ECB’s i didnt know the best way to do this. Thanks so much!

    • Jenni

For anyone who needs more dove shampoo or conditioner coupons you can go to their website. You may have to register but you can print them off. Thank you Jenny for all your hard work! You have helped me and my coworkers save boocoo bucks!

    • Jenny

      Amanda,
Buying your items in different transactions helps to keep your out of pocket cash lower. You can break everything up into transactions that equal each other and pay for #1 with the ECB you already have then pay for #2 with the ECB from #1 etc. I go shopping all at the same time and then break everything in my cart into little groups, put the coupons with each group and everything and then go up and pay. The cashiers are very used to folks doing this and then if a line forms behind you, just finish that transaction and jump to the back of the line to do the next one. I do however only do maybe 3 transactions per trip.

    • Kristy

Anyone out there help me with this? I bought 2 Soleil razors a CVS and only got ECB for one of them. The limit is 2. Is there a limit on the amount you can do in one transaction?

      Thanks for any help!

    • Solei

As stated in an earlier post, I found you recently and I just absolutely LUV your site. I was doing ok on my own, stocking up on toothpaste & such, but thanks to you I’ve learned the little tricks to make it even better & have gotten links to coupons. You are awesome! Your readers are awesome!
Thank You again for all you do!
*btw, I signed up to receive emails & such from CVS, but I never received the $4 off of $20 coupon… I was hoping for it, but oh well. I still luv them too! lol

    • Amy

Question: At CVS…for a sale such as the Nabisco/keebler sale that is 5/$5… do you have to buy $5 worth to get that price? Or could I buy 2 packages of Oreos for $1 each?

      • Jenny

At CVS you do not need to buy 5, it will ring up as $1.

    • Amy

thank you, Jenny. I’ve been doing the basics for a couple of months but your site taught me a few new tricks!

    • Tiffany

Hello Jenny, I went to CVS yesterday and bought revlon mascara and eyeliner that i needed and used (2) $2 off coupons and they were buy one get one half off. It printed out a $3 off $15 purchase on my receipt. I then turned around and bought a 60 pack of Huggies diapers with the $5 off coupon from your website and the $3 CVS coupon. It was a total rush! Your my coupon hero! I got the diapers for $9.99! way cheaper than Walmart!! thanks for your work!

    • Traci

Hi Jenny, I have a question. I understand how you get all the ECB’s but where do you get all the other coupons (the ones that aren’t printable)?

      • Jenny

Most coupons are from the Sunday paper. The SS RP and PG are the abbreviations for the Sunday paper coupon inserts (Smart Source, Red Plum and Procter and Gamble).

    • Kathi

Went to CVS yesterday, bought the Quaker Oats deal, the Aveeno deal, and the Dove hair products. But my best deal was Depends, I have an older friend that needs them. They were on sell 90% off. They were $1.49 per pack. I bought him 18 packs. I saved $12.00 per pack I saved $216.00 His birthday is next week and for $26.82 I got him about a year’s supply. That was fun!

I read this site every morning as soon as I get out of bed and every night. I really appreciate all the deals you post, keep it up!

    • Alright, I gotta chime in here, too!

Your method and your instructions are so incredibly easy to understand. It is a complex process at the onset and most would shy away from even attempting it without your guiding hand. You take time out of your busy life and away from your family to compile the most complete and easy to understand guides I have found on the internet.

Thank you for all that you do. You have made a difference in the lives of so many families and continue to do so, a difference which in every case improves the quality of their life.

True, you can’t understand extreme couponing with one brain cell tied behind your back but I guess such a thing doesn’t hinder the ability to write a negative post about someone who is making a difference in the world while they toss back sodas and play armchair quarterback :)
      Love ya!
      Christy :)

    • Solei

I asked you this question yesterday, but I’m not sure if it went through or not because you were having *technical difficulties* =D so I’m sorry if I’m asking twice…

But I wanted to know your opinion on subscribing to 2 Sunday papers to get double the coupons. Do you think that is a good idea???

I wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU to the CVS worker who made her comment above. Usually all we get is negative feedback from CVS employees. It’s nice to know that there are some “nice” cashiers out there who want us to save money and are envious instead of being hateful about it. I have made friends with one of my local CVS mgrs. so he is always nice about me and my coupons/deals I come in to get. He often tells me that he wishes his wife could shop as well s I do! LOl..I have referred him to the site but he said his wife would not use it, she is embarrased to use coupons. I had to laugh and tell him I would feel the same way about NOT using them! Since I support a family of 5 on one income this site and my deals make all the difference in the world to me.
      Thanks Jenny!

Also, does anyone know where I can get a prescription coupon for gift card for transferring or filling a new RX? I need 3 scripts filled from Wags and I was hoping to transfer and make some $$.
