there are some good money makes this week! thanks!
I will have to be sure to get these on Sunday, cause this week I waited till Tuesday and all the good stuff was gone! :)

      • DonnaTN

Just ask your CVS when their trucks come in if you aren't able to make it in on the first day of sale. I'm a late shopper and I usually take my time! I know my store's truck comes in on Wed. HTH

      • Carrie

Don't forget to get a raincheck if something is out. With a raincheck, you will still get the same deal even if the shelf isn't restocked until after that week's sale ends.

      • Amanda

Yeah, my CVSs are pretty popular around here… I get there first thing Sun morning and eveyrthing is already gone. Everyone knows when the trucks come in too. So I am lucky to get anything.

        • DonnaTN

Aw, well that stinks! I have at least 5 CVS's around so I guess I'm fortunate. Although I do go on Saturdays to do the deals before they start.

        • Shirley

Just reiterating what Carrie said, definitely get a raincheck, you can use them anytime after and still get the ECB for it, just make sure it is written on the raincheck that you should be getting an ECB for it.

I wonder, I actually have 2x $10 Bayer coupons, I am already using 1 of them, but should I go search for a CVS that is out of those and get a raincheck for it so I can use the other one next week? Hmm

          Anyway cheers

        • Anonymous

You can usually go on Saturday evenings if you don’t have a 24hr store. When I was there today, the nice lady that rang me up said from 4pm to midnight on Saturdays you can get the deals from both weeks.

      • kermnelmo

Don't forget that the non 24hour stores start their sales on Saturday evening ! A lot of people don't know that, so you should be to get the deals while they're still in stock ! ;o)

    • Lisa

Was the Bayer $10 coupon regional? It's not in mine and I don't see it on hotcouponworld or on coupon service websites…or did it just fly off the “shelf”! Thanks! Love your site and visit it daily!

      • http://www.southernsavers.com/ Jenny

        Hey there,

It was regional and specifically states “only valid in regions originally released. not valid if sold, auctioned, traded or used in other areas” so I think no one is up for clipping it and mailing it somewhere else :(

        • Anonymous

Might you know the “specific” region it was released? I’m in Alabama and I see the OneTouch Ultra Meter, but not the Beyer one. Thanks!

    • Shirley

I am so glad this is a good week, I have 5 $3/$15 coupons that I need to use by 13th. I posted on the last week's that I had gotten 3 of these $3/$15 in one day, well I just got 2 more … in one day. At least I only have to use 3 by the 13th, the other 2 expires the following week.

Thanks for posting this early! Cheers

      • RobinB78

        Lucky you Shirley!! :-)

      • mag9775

I used to get them all the time and my sister was sooooo jealous, b/c she never got them! Now I haven't gotten one in a few weeks :( Enjoy them while you are getting them and I hope they keep coming for you!!!! I am still hopeful more will come my way!!!

        • Amy J.

I used to get the $3 off $15 q's every week, then a few weeks ago I got a
$5/$40…..and haven't gotten one since! I know, I'm hoping mine will start printing out again soon too!
But at least I'm starting this week with $12 ECB's, so that helps!

        • Shirley

I am definitely crossing my fingers lol.

          Cheers

    • RobinB78

Is it sad that when my husband asked what I wanted to do for Mother's Day the first thing out of my mouth was “Go to CVS” LOL!

      • Amy J.

ROFL! I hear ya, loud n' clear! LOL!

      • LindaB

        Me too!

    • Benjamin

Great week! I'm giving a couponing class on Monday, so it will be good for those who want to get started on a good foot!

    • julie

Jenny will you please make a getting starting Scenario like you did a week or two ago. I'm knew to CVS and I'm still trying to figure it out.

I don't see the Huggies coupons in 5/02 SS? And it's not listed in the 5/2 preview from last week.

      • Amy J.

the SS q's vary from area to area…i live in southeast Georgia…..the Huggies q's were in mine but i bought Jacksonville newspapers this past week….so many more coupons in the Jax newspaper than what's available out of the Savannah Morning News.
depending on what newspapers are available in your area, maybe you could find a paper that has more q's? HTH

    • mag9775

I need a little help. The CoverGirl Lip Products are b1g1. Do I give the cashier the b1g1 Q first or the $ off Q first. Sorry I am still a little new at this. Just need to know how I should present these to the cashier. Thanks!

      • SB

Give them the 1.00 off and then the BOGO qpon!

      • tygirl13

I had a problem with my CVS on $ off and B1G1 for Nivea. I gave her the $ off first but when she saw the B1G1 she said “you can't do that”. After a 5 minute conversation with her and the manager, I lost. They wouldn't even try to scan the B1G1 to see if it would work. They insisted that the B1G1 was a coupon for 2 items, so I couldn't use the $ off too. I think I am going to start going later at night.

        • Anonymous

Next time, either insist on educating them or simply walk away from the purchase to teach them a lesson. CVS does accept that coupon combo for ovious reasons. CVS is getting reimbursed anyway, and that shoppers wouldnt’ even buy if not

        • http://craftyscrappermom.blogspot.com/ Crystal

My CVS wouldn’t allow it either. I would love to know what the manufacturer’s intent is for this situations.

    • mag9775

Does this sound correct? Big transaction, so a little nervous, just need someone to double-check my math. Thanks! Cheers

      • Shirley

Whoops, forgot to say please, so please? LOL

        Thanks again! Cheers

        • DonnaTN

Sounds about right. Just make sure to double check the prices to your store because some prices that Jenny lists varies from store to store. So that way your math isn't off. :)

          • Shirley

Yep, thanks for the reminder, I always check the prices ever since I got caught with an overage. It wasn't a price discrepancy though, remember when they had the GreenTagBag with 99c ECB? Instead of counting the 99c into the price, the cashier took the entire 99c off and didn't give me an ECB. That threw my total off and I happened to be at the register at the photo center, so no candy to cover it. Whew, that was a scramble, lol. Good thing all I had to do was take a $1 coupon off.

Thanks for looking it through! Cheers

            • DonnaTN

No prob, another thing Shirley, I would ask your cashier if it's alright if you could use another $3/15 with your second transaction since it does total 30.45, you may be able to grab another item if you can use that. I was able to use 5/40 and 4/20 for buying $60's worth and only spent 4.84. Doesn't hurt to ask!! :)

            • Shirley

Oh wow, thanks for the tip Donna, that would be awesome if they could, I will definitely try.

              Cheers

            • Anonymous

To chime in here… cashiers are no more educated than you are. Asking cashiers if “it is alright” sounds like they are in charge of how to run policies on their own. You have $3/15 Q for you to use it-There is no if or but if honorary cashier likes it or not. It appears that there are multiple Qs, though similar, sent to the shopper, so that is it-They are there to be used-not set on a condition and mood of the cashier.

      • RobinB78

I wouldn't worry about the tuna in trans. 1. I'd rather let them keep the one penny in ECBs than spend an extra 50 cents myself. Of course, if you really want or need the tuna, then that's a different story!! Without the tuna all you would owe is tax.

#2 looks awesome!! I may use yours myself, and throw in a few extra ECBs I have to make up for the $3/ 15 q's you got! :-)

        • Shirley

I know about the tuna, problem is my CVS, they won't let you go into overage, and they won't adjust the penny either. I bought a 4.99 once and used a 5ECB, the cashier refused to accept. So, I am glad they have 49c fillers this time, or I will have to use a 89c candy bar, lol.

          • RobinB78

Ewww. I'm glad my CVS will gladly keep my extra penny! LOL

          • Anonymous

This would be incorrect if your CVS is doing that. Almost all retailers universally adjust down the manuf. Q. price to the sale price if the sale price is lower than the Q.-That is the way it should be done and Tuna Qs were no exception-I know those Qs. Argument here is that you would otherwise not buy and why should you pay cash/credit if they did not accept the manuf Q. that is there to be used in the first place.

Moreover, ECBs are no exceptions. ECBs are also paid to CVS by the manuf. under a separate marketing deal. If nothing else, ECBs clearly state “up to $xx…” The up to is the keyword that should tamp down any objections. I have corrected cashiers on this and I do not budge, I stay firm on what is right-I am always glad to educate others. Do us all a favor, next time do not just give in. Just wrapping their objections will encourage them continue this nonsense to all of us.

      • Shirley

BTW, Jenny just updated that the Crest rinse coupon is for a different size, so in case anyone is interested to using this scenario, please re-adjust for that change.

        THANKS! Cheers

    • Michelle

      awesome week at CVS!

    • Lisa

Question – if you use ECB and have some left over after purchases do they give you the cash back or do you just lose that money? For example, if I got the 15 back for the monitor and only spent 12 of it, what would happen to those 3 dollars?

      • http://www.southernsavers.com/ Jenny

They do not give anything back so you are telling them to keep the change basically.

      • kermnelmo

The CVS's around me won't change the amount on the ECB's OR give you money back. I would have to spend the extra “money” maybe on something like milk.

      • RobinB78

If I come across a scenario like that, where I have a few ECBs left I raid the travel size toiletry section! Or add a soda or bottle water. Anything to add up to what's left! Don't give them their free money back!! :-)

      • Lori

You would loose them. You should purchase something else that is around 3 bucks!

      • Christy

You loose any ECB not used.

    • http://twitter.com/juleswoo Julie Woodruff

Fairly new at this, so this may seem like a dumb question but on the Veet coupon (The $3.00), it says “limit one coupon per purchase”. Normally coupons say only one coupon per item or something similar, so does that mean I would have to make three separate purchases on the Veet?

      • RobinB78

One purchase = one product. You can have multiple “purchases” in one overall transaction.

    • carolc23

I did my scenarios and have a couple totals like -.04 for a couple transactions. Will that be a problem? Should I give ecb's or q's first?

      • http://teenstotsandeverythinginbetween.blogspot.com/ Sheila

If you are using ECB you usually have to pay the tax out of pocket. I know that they will not let you have a negative total so you may want to check into your scenarios. Most cashiers will adjust the ECB down to the amount prior to tax. Some correct me if I am wrong.

To answer your question q's first and ECB last they work like money.

        • carolc23

I always forget about tax, lol! So hopefully I'll be fine the way things are then. And hopefully i get there before some of the free goodies are gone. That always seems to happen…

          • gamego71

I'm new to this also. Last week I did CVS twice. Once on Sunday to get some ECB's then again on Tuesday. I got a lot of good deals but on Tuesday everything should have been free because I had enough ECB's. The cashier said it wouldn't except my last ECB for $3.00. Then I had to give them $4.82. My receipt shows $2.03 subtotal and $2.79 for tax. At first I was confused but now that I look at it must have rejected the ECB because it was more than the subtotal. Which left me with the $2.03 and then tax. I guess I should have used the $3.00 ECB before some of my $1.00 ECB's. I was still really pleased to get $47 worth of stuff for $4.82. I'm really looking forward to going again this week. I really want to try one of the scenarios this week.

          • Carrie

If your store is out of something, then get a raincheck. That is one area where I really like CVS better than WAGS. Since CVS gives rainchecks then it doesn't really matter if they are out of stock, because you just get the deal with a raincheck once your product is on the shelf again. One tip I've heard is to cut out the deal from the weekly ad and attach it to the raincheck so there won't be any question what the deal was and how many ECBs you should be receiving.

            • LindaB

Carrie, Great suggestion about clipping the weekly ad and attaching to raincheck! I'll be using that one a lot…

      • RobinB78

I always give q's first. I like to think of the ECBs as a form of payment, not coupons.

      • Anonymous

looks like your ECB value might exceed by 4 cents. In that case, most ECBs wont go through (though some types do go thru for taxes total as well), the register will beep. In that case, the cashier will have to adjust the price by 4 cents less the face value to push it thru (it is not a choice or dependent on stores or employees-they have to do it-the ECBs say “up to $xx meaning the value could be lower also). This will make the subtotal $0. Then you just pay taxes.

    • Heather

Does CVS accept Target Coupons as a competitor?

      • Carrie

Check with your manager since every store is different. Mine doesn't consider Target a competitor since we don't have one in town.

        • Heather

          Thanks!

      • vgwagoner

Mine does not accept any other store coupons – not even Rite Aid – am thinking this is just the clerk I keep getting, but is what I have been told.

    • JT

Looks like to me on the Right Guard that if you bought 2 that you make a $1 if you use the Q and combine with your ECBs.. Am I right or I am misunderstanding something?

      • Susan

        You're right.

    • kelli

such a great week! I've got so many extra bucks expiring this week, I really needed some good deals! :)

    • Venetia

Thank you so much for all your work on the scenarios, I am totally lost without them.

    • Mary Ellen

I REALLY appreciate you creating a first timers' list that does actually include multiple transactions like this. It is actually exactly what I needed!

    • Anna

My Cover Girl B1G1 q says it's for a “face product”. Do you think this will work on the lip products that are on sale?

      • Amanda

It's possible… I used it for mascara last week at Rite Aid…

      • DonnaTN

If you don't need lip products, then I would use the b1g1 at rite aid this week. they have the deal going.

        • Amanda

duh, you're right, that was this week I got the mascara… I am really in a fog…lol

      • Sarah

I have been confused for some time about what Cover Girl actually intended for this coupon, so I looked on the Cover Girl website. They list a “Face Product” as blush, concealer, foundation, powder, and bronzer. Even though mascara, lip stick, and eyeshadow are all technically on your face, those are listed on the Cover Girl website as “Eye Products” and “Lip Products”.

      • Melissa H

I was a little confused on that too … I figured I'd just give it a whirl and see what went through … Winn Dixie here in Central FL is having CoverGirl B1G1 this week, so I went there to use my B1G1 coupons … I was able to get foundation, powder, concealer, mascara, and eyeshadow, but not the lipstain I had in my cart … No worries, though, I'll take $100 worth of free make up with no complaints! :)

    • Amanda

I am soooooo confused. I think I have some kind of cognitive deficiency or something because I still cannot figure out the logic to do scenarios. I know what i want, and I know what each thing will cost in the end, but I can't figure out the combinations and the order to buy them in to not pay out of pocket.

      • DonnaTN

I would say the best bet is for your first transaction (depending on how many items you are buying) buy something that will give you ECB's back first off. The first transaction will always be the most money oop unless you have $/$$ to help you a little. Then you can use those ECB's to buy on your 2nd transaction. HTH

      • Amanda

I'm serious, I only want 8 items, and I have spent 2 hours and 2 pages of scribbles and can't figure it out. Am I totally stupid? I am just about ready to tear my hair out.

        • DonnaTN

What are the items you are wanting to buy? And list what coupons you have for them.

          • Amanda

If I had to refigure transactions in the store, because of an out of stock item…i would be totally lost…might as well walk out! lol
I want 2 of the Crest rinse (no coupons)
            Kotex liners (-1 store coupon)
            Schick razor (-5 coupon)
2 of the Right Guard (-$3/2 coupon)
            Bayer meter (-10 coupon)
            Huggies goodnights (1.50 coupon) …
            I am starting with a 1ECB and a 4ECB…
I figure I should start with the Bayer meter because it is the most ECB back, and end with the Huggies, because they are the least ECB back, but can't for the life of me figure out everything in between to pay least OOP and not lose ECBs

            • Amanda

Okay I think the best way is do:
              1) Bayer meter
              2) (2) Crest rinse, Kotex, Schick
              3) Huggies, (2) Right Guard
That way I come in with 5 ECB, and leave with 5 ECB and spent 5 OOP, and will just have to find a $1 filler in the middle. Sounds pretty good to get $5 Huggies.
Only problem is they never have everything in stock, so that will throw my whole strategy out the window…lol!

            • Amanda

              oh wait, new question:
can you use ECBs to pay for the tax also?

            • Lucy

You can pay the bill with ECBs first then hand the cashier the manufacturer's coupons. If you have the total figured out correctly, the manufacturer's coupons can eat into the tax owed and you can walk away with a nearly $0 transaction. However, it does take a lot of planning and if you miscalculate, some of your manufacturer's coupons might not be accepted. A calculator, exact price notation of items you place in your cart and an understanding of how tax is applied in your area is a must.

            • Shirley

No, I don't believe you can't use ECB to pay for tax.

As for the scenario, I was thinking more like-
              #1
              2 RightGuards, 1 Crest Rinse (4.98+3.50) – ($3 RG coupon+5ECB)
              = $0.48 +tax with 7.50ECB
              #2
              1 Bayer (19.99) – ($10 coupon+7.50ECB)
              = $2.49 +tax with 15ECB
              #3
              1 Huggies, 1 Schick, 1 Kotex, 1 filler (tuna 49c?) (8.49+8.99+4.99+0.49)
              – ($7.50 in coupons+15ECB)
              = $0.47 +tax with 4+2+4.99ECB
              #4
              1 Crest Rinse, 1 filler (pepsi 2L 88c?) (3.50+0.88) – (4ECB)
              = $0.38 +tax with 3.50ECB
You will leave with 2+4.99+3.50ECBs for the next set.

You can double check it, should be correct. Plus, if you use a GreenTagBag and spread this over 4 days, you get an extra 1ECB at the end. If you want to.

              Cheers

            • Shirley

Sorry!! I was suppose to type that you cannot use ECB towards tax! SORRY

            • DonnaTN

Shirley, for trans 1 the 2 right guards would have to be 5.98 for both if they are priced at 2.99 each so that would throw off your scenario a bit.

            • Shirley

Thanks for the catch, Donna!! Whew, must had a brain fart. So, please 'sic' the previous and see if this would work better? AND! Can someone please double-check this time too? Thanks!
              #1
              2 RightGuards, 1 Kotex (5.98+4.99) – ($4 coupons+5ECB)
              = $1.97 +tax with 4+4.99ECBs
              #2
              1 Bayer (19.99) – ($10 coupon+8.99ECB)
              = $1.00 +tax with 15ECB
              #3
              1 Huggies, 1 Schick, 1 Crest Rinse, filler(pepsi 2L) (8.49+8.99+3.50+0.88)
              – ($6.50 coupons+15ECB)
              = $0.86 +tax with 2+4+3.50ECBs
              #4
              1 Crest Rinse (3.50) – (3.50ECB)
              = $0 +tax with 3.50ECB

              Spent in cash: $3.83 +tax
              ECB left: 2+4+3.50ECBs (9.50ECB)

If this goes bust too, I am super sorry to have wasted anyone's time. Note that I had a brain fart in the previous, I might have had one again in this, so beware, lol. At the very least, I hope Amanda gets a look at the different scenarios and options and can use those to find one that suits her best.

              Cheers

            • Amanda

Looks good to me… wow, you are REALLY GOOD.
With the best I could come up with I would end up spending more out of pocket, and end up with less ECBs…. it really does make a difference doing different scenarios.Thank you and others for your help with this… you are so kind to take the time, and donate the brain energy!
I don't know how you do it. It reminds me of playing Chess.

            • Shirley

Not a problem at all, it helps to have fresh eyes on your math, I sometimes put out my scenarios too so I know I am correct. Plus if I stare at those things for too long, I'll get cross-eyed; I even made a mistake on the first scenario, which Donna thankfully caught.

Just a reminder to always go to the store with the list, include the pricing for everything and double-check to make sure that it is the correct price. My last trip I was doing the Nivea thing, and one of the products was more expensive by $2, if I hadn't noticed that and adjusted …

Anyway, have fun, good luck and cheers

            • DonnaTN

No problem, I hope you have everything in stock!

            • DonnaTN

LoL, sometimes brain farts are far and few between. It only seems to happen when you're calculating! Again for the first transaction..LOL….Are you calculating in $1 for sq & $1 mq? I came up with .97 total. At least that won't throw off the other scenarios just less OOP. :P

            • Shirley

I was calculating just the one store coupon that Amanda mentioned she had. If she has the other, then that would make it .97 instead. Just using what Amanda gave.

If you print the other coupon, Amanda, then it would make it 97c for the first trans like Donna mentioned.

              Cheers

            • DonnaTN

Also, in #3, I came up with OOP of .36! LOL… subtracting 1.50 huggies, 5razor, 15 ecbs. Correct?

            • Shirley

Yep, you are right, it is 36c, like I said, I was having a brain fart day. Thanks for catching that.

              Cheers

            • Anonymous

Shirley… I like this transaction. It seems to be the least OOP and the most ECB. in the end… you make about .42… or something like that…

            • SAN

I KNOW PRICES VARY, BUT , IN THE SALES AD AND IN THE STORE, RIGHT GUARD IS 2.49.

            • vgwagoner

At my CVS – the ECBs will cover the tax – I have left several times recently paying nothing on my 2nd transaction!

            • DonnaTN

Ok..here's what I came to calculate. I must note I am not an extreme couponer lol. I'm always finding myself re-calculating in the store!
              1st Trans:
              Bayer 19.99
              -10 MQ
              -1ECB
              -4ECB = 4.99 + tax plus 15 ecbs back

              2nd Trans:
              2 Crest rinse 3.50×2
              Kotex 4.99
              2 Right Guard 2.99×2
              -15 ECBS from prev
              -1 Kotex SQ
-1 Kotx IP Q (I would print from the link Jenny has from the ALL you mag)
-3/2 right guard = leaving you with a -2.03 so I would find something for that amount *if you have a stayfree coupon, they are 3.79 and are giving back 2 ecbs, just a thought* So if you added the stayfree and the MQ would make that total .76+tax giving you 17.99 ECBS back

              Then 3rd Trans:
              Huggies 8.49
              Schick Razor 8.99
              -1.50 huggies
              -5 razor
              -4.99 ecb
              -3.50 ecb
              -2 ecb =49 +tax with 7.50 Ecbs remaining (3.50 rinse, 2 stayfree, 2right guard)

I hope that sounds right..anyone feel free in jump in if I'm wrong somewhere.

            • DonnaTN

forgot my decimal so would be .49!! I left the huggies last if you dont have it in stock…you can take off and just recalculate with razor only

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

To chime in here:- I do not think Bayer meter has sales tax in any state-It is considered a “medicinal” item in par with painkillers etc.

    • DonnaTN

Just something to consider, you may want to check your extra care account to make sure you have your birthday on there, they may send you a “present” on your birthday. :)

    • Sara

The recommendation for the Kotex tampons deal is to use two coupons, one manufacturer's and one store coupon – but in my experience, CVS registers don't let you stack coupons, even if you get a nice clerk who will try to do it for you. Is this the case for anyone else in other areas? I've tried it in SC and TN, and the register just won't let you do it.

      • DonnaTN

Does it beep when you use the CVS coupons from the price checker with man q?

      • courtney_80

i have always been able to stack store and mfc q's at CVS without a problem. i wonder if they have set their registers differently at your store. i had a problem last week and emailed corporate about it (my store wouldn't take the BOGO kodak pic dvd q with the BOGO sale). i got a very nice reply and was able to use my coupons as i thought. you might try that.

      • Lucy

CVS coupons have a bar code that begin with a “4”. Manufacturer's coupons have a bar code that begin with a “5” or a “9”. Per CVS register logic (and coupon policy), you can use one store coupon (either a store coupon that begins with a “4” or a CRT coupon) and a manufacturer's coupon per item purchased.

      • sarahcas

I did the Kotex deal earlier and used a manufacturers coupon and a CVS coupon and it worked fine. I'm in TN.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

This is incorrect. The store needs to be fixed. I always thought there was one universal register system at all CVs stores run centrally. I believe there is some technical glitch at that store

    • christy

Does anyone know about how much the Covergirl Lip Products are? I'm trying to work out my scenario for this week and I have a $5/$25 so I need to make sure I get to that amount.

      • http://www.southernsavers.com/ Jenny

Try going to CVS's website and search for Cover Girl Lip you'll see all the different types and prices and they are usually pretty close to what you find in the store.

    • Lindsay

Does anyone know where I can find CVS' coupon policy? I thought Jenny had a link somewhere, but I can't find it. I had a manager tell me I couldn't stack a store cpn with a manufacturer's cpn last week, and I'm pretty sure that's not right. Thanks.

      • Lucy

Send an e-mail to CVS customer service. They'll send you a copy of the coupon policy.

If you explain in the e-mail that the manager wouldn't allow use of a CVS store coupon along with a manufacturer's coupon, they'll explain that the registers are programmed to accept one store coupon and one manufacturer's coupon per item. They'll then apologize and tell you that they'll contact the store manager for a coupon policy refresher course.

        • Lindsay

Thank you. I was getting so frustrated with the cashier, asked for a manager only to find out that she was a manager. She definitely needs a refresher! :)

      • jennypickle

Here's an email response from the powers that be at CVS that Jenny published on this site a few months back (hope my link works!)

        http://www.southernsavers.com/2010/01/cvs-a-gre

        hope this helps!

    • Sarah

I just posted this on the last CVS ad, but meant to post it here…anyways, does anyone know if I have a $5 off $40 CVS coupon, does my total have to be $40 before or after tax? Thanks!

        Before tax and coupons.

        • Sarah

          Thank you Lucy!

    • Lucy

Just in case anyone was wanting to know before printing: The $1.00 off any Huggies Little Movers Jeans Diapers is a CVS store coupon (bar code begins with a “4”) so it can be combined with a manufacturer's coupon

    • artmommy222

On the Cover Girl deal, Jenny says “Use both = free plus overage”. Which 'both' is she referring to? There are 3 coupons listed. I do have all 3. My question really is: if I buy 2 products, can I use the B1G1 coupon together with a -2.50/2? Or do I have to use the B1G1 together with the -1.00/1?

      • carolc23

I got cover girl stuff on sale like this at riteaid last week and used two -$1 q's first and then the b1g1 q. Went thru fine

      • DonnaTN

You would have to use the b1g1 along with the $1/1. The b1g1 accounts for the one product for free so the $1/1 would be for the other.

      • Logansmom318

Honestly it would be up to your store. I used my b1g1 at target along with the 2.50/2 last week and it worked just fine. I would try it.

        • http://craftyscrappermom.blogspot.com/ Crystal

They should NOT have let you do that, since the $2.50/2 is tied to both. You should never use 2 manufacturer coupons on the same item. If they are on sale, BIGI, then you can use the $2.50 off legitimately. Some storese will let you use a BIGI coupon along with another $ off one coupon. My CVS will not allow that. They wouldn't take both with my Nivea coupons last week.

    • no spend dad

I'm kinda new at this and have a questions about the “My scenerio” transactions. Is she doing this because you have to do it seperate to allow everything to work or is she just doing it to show you can buy certain things and not show her buying everything at 1 time? Thanks for the help in adavnce.

      • DonnaTN

You don't have to do it in separate transactions, she does multiple transactions only to make your out of pocket less and so you can roll over your ecbs from the previous transaction. she's just showing you HER transactions that she's doing. the object is to purchase items that give you ECB's back that you need. HTH's

    • Ginny

Does anyone know if the Huggies jean diaper store Q can be used on pullups?

      • guest

That would be inappropriate usage of the coupon unless you can find Pullups that are made in the new Jean diaper style. I haven't seen these in the store yet so IDk if they make the pullups in the jean diaper styling or not.

        • Ginny

oh ok-I wasn't sure if it was like the diaper ones that say diapers but then somewhere says pullups, etc! I am pretty stocked up anyway but didn't want to miss another good deal! thanks again for answering!

    • Casie

I think I found a great MONEY MAKER!! For the VEET deal: Combine the -$3/1 printable MQ she has here with the WAGS -$3/1 store Q from the may coupon booklet, should may entire purchase free and you hopefully will still get the $5 ECB. AM I wrong or should this work?? I hope so! (I know my CVS does take the WAGS Q's as store coupons)

      • http://www.southernsavers.com/ Jenny

If your CVS will take the Wags coupon then you have a great deal and an awesome store. Most will not accept competitor coupons :(

    • luckysmomabram

If limit is 1 and i bought it last week will i still get ECB's back this week? Last week say I bought Hydro razors and got my ecb's will i be able to get them again this week if limit is 1 (razors just example). Thank you for help

      • luckysmomabram

Does each week start over on ECB's on products even though i bought them last week?

        • Mysterious_Mentalist

yes- they wouldn't refuse their advertised sales to “some”-it wouldn't be practical. It is marketing-they want you to keep buying them

    • KelliSC

Has anyone tried the Purex laundry sheets? I'd like to stock up so I can take them to the beach – instead of lugging a jug of detergent, but if they don't work, it wouldn't be worth it.
      Thanks!

      • heatherkerce

        They work great!!!

      • bulldogluv

I actually tried them last week when I received a free sample in the mail, I liked it a lot, and it would be much easier to pack for the beach. Clothes smelled great after using it. However, I did not use it on a really spoiled load of laundry.

      • JT

I have tried them, and I really like them. I have used them on really soiled clothing (my son's baseball uniform) and they didn't do great there… however, on everything else, I have really liked them.

        • nancy

I agree I did not like them for really soiled clothes. But the other was ok. Not sure if they are clean. or not. but smell ok.
I tried the Dawn with lotion soap for dishes I really want my money back. But I did not pay anything for them only taxes. lol the soap is bubbly and when I drink from a cup it smells of detergent. I am not use to that. However i did have Qs that made the price free. Just will not by again. only regular Dish soap.

          • nancy

            i meant not bubbly. opps

      • Lucy

Very convenient to take to the beach (I'm doing the same thing this week). I tried them, and for me, they were just OK. I would never use them on heavy soiled laundry. They work good on stuff that needs to be washed but is not dirty, like towels, sheets, and worn clothes without stains. I didn't like the fact that after the wash was done, the sheet had very very little green stuff on it left (that stuff is supposed to work in the dryer)… but my clothes did come out soft, but I didn't notice any pleasant smell – at least not like when you use Snuggle.

      • tracycook79

I am the mama to a three year old and a one year old boys. i use these frequently on allllll of their heavy soiled laundry. i love them. i plan on picking up some more this week….

      • sarahcas

I am a college student and it makes doing laundry really easy! I love them!

      • lisaajenkins

Great for the beach or any vacation! My mom requests that I buy them now whenever we go anywhere!!

      • centsablemommy

We got them while on a camping trip because they did not weigh anything…did not like them at all! I have two small girls and their clothes did not come clean. I could not smell them in the clothes. Just not impressed. They are convenient as far as not being heavy and having the 3 in 1. Use on a small not very dirty load

    • k8winn5

Yesterday I had a coupon printed off at cvs for $5 off any purchase of $40 or more. I'm gonna buy crest prohealth toothpaste, U kotex, schick hydro razor, 2 right guard total defense, bayer aspirin, carefree liner, covergirl lipstick b1g1 and this totals to a little over $40. With using manufacturers coupons, ECB, cvs coupons it looks like I will end up with a profit of 70 cents or so…I could've done the math wrong, but I am gonna go try it out at the store and pray that it works!! :P

      • Lucy

Good luck! Take some change with you to pay for taxes. When we do the math we usually don't count the 6.5% tax. What I do is take lots of change – that way, you don't really feel the tax LOL :) I hope your transaction works out!

        • Mysterious_Mentalist

6.5% tax is a bargain. It is close to 9% where I am-I pay heavily in taxes.

    • Anna

I am trying to to Print the CVS store coupons on their website. It won't let me… It keeps on saying it is “sending the coupons to my printer” but it is not! Has anybody else run into this problem? If so Can you help?

      • Andrea

Make sure you have chosen the correct default printer in your printer options. I had the same problem this morning, just starting today with SS, and coupons printed then.

    • kidsallgone

      I am curious about this:
First transaction: I got $57.00 worth of items at cvs last week and paid $24.00 using coupons and ECBs.
Next transaction: I got $13.00 worth of items free (ECBs from 1st transaction).
Left with $19.00 worth of ECB.
****So if I would have divided the 1st transaction into smaller ones, I wouldn't have had to pay that $24.00; but would I wouldn't have left with $19 worth of ECBs. Right?
Does it matter that much in the end?
The cashier said to do it that way and I listened to her; but wasn't thrilled about paying out the $24.00. I'm sooooooooo confused :(

      • Abbie

You are exactly right. Smaller transactions mean less out of pocket. It's a little more work figuring out your transactions ahead of time but you do end up paying less out of pocket. The goal is to keep rolling the ecb's so you are spending cvs's money instead of yours. At least you have lots of ecb's for next week. let's hope it's a good ad, right??

      • Lucy

Same happend to me last week. I wanted to split my transactions up, but I was running so late, I just did everything in one (that was the last day kids were in daycare, and I knew I wouldn'be be able to go to CVS again). So I also spent $24 oop for about $78 worth of stuff, and got $11 ECBs back. Since that $24 oop has cut into my grocery budget for the week, I'm coming back to buy milk, juice, and cereal with those ECBs.

      • RebeccaFer

Just remember that it's a cashiers job to take your money not to try to save it for you. There are some awesome CVS cashiers out there but don't count on everyone being helpful. If you're confused, just tell the cashier to cancel the order, step back from the line and analyze your purchases again. It took me a while to figure it out and the main thing I've decided is shopping with a 5 year old is a no no and shopping with a hungry, tired 5 year old is the biggest no no of all. Go when you're able to concentrate and don't be afraid to stop and ask for a minute or two. I've done gotten out of line as recently as a couple of days ago and I've been doing this since October. I had not only the cashier telling me she couldn't use a certain coupon but an annoying customer behind me saying she couldn't do it either. Sheesh! We all have to concentrate and figure it out. Good luck next time! :D

    • Lucy

The Right Guard Total Defense 5 was priced $2.49 at my store so it's a $1.01 MM with the $1.50 coupon or $2.02 MM wyb 2 with the $3/2 coupon.

    • http://www.kaolinmommy.blogspot.com Kaolinmommy

Quick question: CVS coupons have a $1/2 kelloggs cereal, too. Can I stack that with the coupons.com Q to get an even better deal, like with the U kotex deal? I’m hoping that would work- that’s $.88 each!

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

        yes

    • Mary627

I want to do scenario one but I do not have a carefree liner coupon but i have everything including the 5 dollar ecb…..what can I do….im new to all this…can i just leave the carefree liner out and be fine?

      • Mary627

I meant the my scenario transaction #1

      • Lucy

Sure you can. Since the Carefree costs $1.00 and the Carefree coupon is $1.00 they basically cancel each other out. If you add up all your other items that you want to purchase, subtract your coupons that you have and the ECB that you will use, you will get the total amount that you'll pay. Your total will be the identical $.73 (plus tax) and you'll receive the $3.50 ECB and the $4.00 ECB back.

One thing to watch is the price of the Right Guard. In my store it was $2.49 (instead of the $2.99). So, you might have to add in something instead of losing that $.27 off your $5.00 ECB that you're using as payment if the Right Guard is priced at $2.49. (Add a $.33 caramel from the bucket on the counter and your total would be $.06)

    • kat

I've never seen Bayer Breeze or Contour coupons in our paper. What we got was a $10 coupon for a”Freestyle” meter from Abbott. This is not the Bayer coupon, is it?

      • guest

No, those are 2 different companies. The Bayer Breeze/Contour coupon was regional, unfortunately some areas did not get it.

    • http://www.kaolinmommy.blogspot.com Kaolinmommy

I tried to ask this earlier, but can't see my comment. Sorry if it is a duplicate!

Can I stack the CVS Q's with manuf. ones? It looks like we can, according to the U Kotex deal. If so, CVS also as a $1/2 Kelloggs printable. If we can use them both, that would make it $.88 a box!

      • http://www.kaolinmommy.blogspot.com Kaolinmommy

correction- they did until about 5 minutes ago. Now I can't seem to find them and I hadn't printed yet bc I'm low on ink. ARGH!

        • nancy

Yes they are repeats of Coupons.com Always look for the CVS and store coupon on the Printable Q. hth.

    • Mary627

      thank you soo much mam!!!!

    • babydolltm25

Just an FYI if you use the $10 bayer meter coupon you will only get back $5 ECB instead of $15. I argued it but cashier explained that since I used the coupon I only get $5 back. Oh well still wasn't a bad deal.

      • Sarah

I only received $5 ECB's as well, but when I showed the cashier that it showed “Buy 1 Bayer Get $15 ECB's” and “offer limit reached” at the bottom of my receipt – she agreed that it should have been a $15 ECB – so she just manually printed $10 additional ECB's.

      • http://www.facebook.com/cardewallen Carolyn Fonville Allen

My manager printed another $10 with no question.

    • Brenda Z

So I just wanted to let everyone know what happened to me at cvs w/ the bayer extra care bucks. Only 5 instead of 15 printed for me and I think it has somethgn to do w/ the $10 coupon. Anyone else have this problem? They just ended up force printing 10ecbs for me but I could tell they didn't really want to.

      • mag9775

Same happened to me, but she was very nice about it and gave them to me.

      • ihc76

I went back and read the ad and it says “no discounts apply” so because of the $10q it knocks the ecb's down to $5. That is my best guess?? :)

    • ywardlaw

Tried to shop at the store in the Forest Place shopping center on Forest Drive tonight… no go on next week's add & the manager was quite snippy about it….

      • http://craftyscrappermom.blogspot.com/ Crystal

In all fairness, the dates for the add do not start on Saturday. The dates are clearly marked to start on Sunday. If it works, you get a bonus, but if not it's nothing to get upset over because technically it should never work since the sale isn't supposed to start until Sunday.

        • ywardlaw

With all due respect… I don't think my comment mentions whether I was upset; however, the manager was rude when I simply asked about it based on what we were told at the workshop. I've had trouble with this store not being customer friendly – meaning simple politeness here – before. I simply asked before attempting to do any transactions. Even my mom was shocked at the manager's response.

          • LeAnnaShaw

I asked the manager at my cvs about this…and he said that just last week-cooperate had been coming down hard on them for putting in sale prices on sat evening. He says it is no longer allowed. He was quite upset, b/c he said customers had been doing that for 'ever' and they were upset and he did not blame them…b/c it was not fair to do that w/out giving warning. I tend to believe him-b/c he has always been helpful to me..even gave me the sale add for two weeks out!! So I am not even going to try to shop on a sat nite now…lol

    • Melissa

WOW I am so mad at CVS, usually my favorite store. I decided to make a last minute trip to the CVS I don't usually go to even though it is closer because the cashiers aren't very coupon friendly and I should of known better. Some how the cashier “lost” my BIGI nivea coupon somewhere between my hand and hers. I know for a fact I gave it to her because I made sure to put it on the bottom to be scanned last. I still made $20.51 (minus the 2.24 I paid for the All you and the nivea coupon was the only coupon in there I had a use for) but I was still mad. I know she has it. Coupons don't just dissappear.

      • RebeccaFer

I have a RA assistant manager who befriended me and always asks for copies of my coupons!!! I don't know which one is worst, one who steals a coupon or one who is management trying to commit outright coupon fraud with my coupons. I'd report her but I honestly don't want her job loss to be on my conscience. I just keep telling her how easy it is to get the coupons herself. Today she said she can't because her printer ran out of ink. Ughhhh! I have avoided that store since January simply because of her and I thought (silly me) that I'd run in quick and hopefully not see her. My bad. Sorry about your coupon loss. That totally sucks. But great job otherwise! :D

    • mag9775

I just had an AWESOME shopping trip to CVS!!!! I spent $8.14 ($5.88 of that was tax.) I saved $135.03!!!!!!! THANK YOU JENNY!!!!!!!!! I got 1-Bayer Breeze 1-Cerave Lotion 1-Kotex tampons 2-Crest toothpaste 2-Right Gaurd Deo. 3-Veets 2-boxes of cereal 2-Pantenes 6-CG lip sticks 1-Cottenelle I am one happy shopper!!! And got a rain check for the SOBE water which I will get for free later. And ended up with more ecb's than I thought!!!

    • Molliec

I wanted to give you a heads up on a sale I found tonight. My CVS had Air Wick I Motion starter kits on sale from $9.99 down to $4.49. I had multiple $4 off coupons for them (don't know which insert they came from, sorry!!), so I got 6 of them for .49 each!!

      • Jennifer

In my CVS store, they marked it down to $4.99. And it says the promotion is from 5/9-5/15.

    • kgoosie

How are you guys already shopping and using coupons when the ad doesn't start until tomorrow? My CVS opens at 8 a.m.

      • Molliec

on Saturday night my CVS runs both deals (the current week, and the ad that starts Sunday). The manager told me that the computer starts the next ad at 6pm. i have seen on here where others have shopped the next weeks ad as early as 2pm on Saturday. if your store is a 24 hour, this won't be true (i don't think…) It is worth asking if yours starts the ad on saturday night. Hope that helps!

        • ywardlaw

Does your store happen to be in Columbia? If so, where?

          • Molliec

no, i am in Auburn Alabama….sorry!!

        • fullhouse

I shop at the 24 hour cvs on Sat night, love getting deals from both weeks, especially if we have some 4/20 or 5/20 q's!

    • Dana

In reference to the Purex 3-in-1 sheets…can they be used in a front loader washer? If so how? Also can I use two q for $2 off since they are B1G1?

      • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/WK274DK6VPV5PWKMY7AXK77HK4 Phil

Yes I use them in my front load washer you just throw them in with your laundry just like you would with a top load washer when done with the wash just transfer to the dryer as your fabric sheet. I love the sheets because I don't have to measure out the detergent OR fabric softner. Also, you can use two $2 q's because you are “buying” two products. Hope this helps.

        • Dana

Thanks Phil…I will give them a try.

        • SAN

LAST NIGHT THE REGISTER WOULDN'T ALLOW ALLOW ME TO USE 2 COUPONS. ONLY 1. LET ME KNOW WHAT HAPPENS.

    • luckysmomabram

does each week the limit start over?

      • http://deedeelovejoy.blogspot.com/ DeeDee_FL

Usually. There are a few deals that are month long, such as the Nivea and the Stayfree.

    • alwayskala

i went to my cvs to be told that covergirl lip color was not considered a face item. hmmm…the last time i checked, that's the only place to put it.

      • RebeccaFer

Lol! Ummmm, I'm thinking the lips on my *face* are what covergirl meant when they made that coupon. Silly cashier!

      • Jennifer

That situation is pretty common. Althought we all consider our lips are on our faces ( because we want to use coupons to save money), but apparently the manufacturers and drug stores dont think so. If you find some cashier let you use the coupon, you are lucky!!!

      • fullhouse

I think cosmetic items are catorgorized, ie lip products, eye, and face, meaning products for your whole face. this coupon is aggravating because of the wording. I am just planning to wait for a sale for foundation/powder. Since every other covergirl coupon is pretty specific, and they don't make non face products, this is how I read this coupon. For those it works for, great!

    • Mysterious_Mentalist

Bayer purchase printed $5 Q. not $15. I went back and they are extremely nice, and the shift superviser printed the balance for me. However, he raised a point that the ad said “no discounts apply…” My argument is that the “discount” they are referring to is a store discount or from some insurance company etc. Coupons are not “discounts”-Qs have cash value.

Is the Bayer ECB a computer glitch? Or is it that the ECB is quite high value so the manufacturer decided to have CVS reduce the amount because of Q use? Can someone try to have their store run a test (w/o a Q) to see if it prints full $15 Q.?

      • kandy

hi! i am just getting started on the CVS thing and have a few questions if someone can help. what does this mean???-.75/1 off any Crest Toothpaste 4oz+ liquid or gel PG 5/02. does that mean there is a coupon somewhere. if so where do i get it. also, what does this mean??? -$1 off U by Kotex SS 4/18, April All You. what is All you. what are you referrring to with SS when talking about a coupon. any help is appreciative. thanks, kandy

        • http://www.facebook.com/susan.s.phillips Susan Somers Phillips

Welcome! The Crest coupon can be found in the May 2nd (5/2) Proctor & Gamble insert. The Kotex coupon can be found in the Smart Source Coupon insert dated 4/18 or the Aprill All You magazine. The All You magazine is full of tons of coupons. I recently attended an Extreme Couponing 101 workshop with Jenny and would highly recommend doing that. You can also click on the getting started guide on this website, but if there's any way you can attend the workshop, I would do that. Happy Couponing!

        • lisa

all you is a walmart magazine.. you can only get it there! Good luck! checK jennys couponing 101… very helpful!!

      • fullhouse

I had the same problem, but when I showed my cashier the ad, she was very quick and nice about printing a 10 ecb to go along with the 5 that the register printed.

      • SAN

IT IS A CORPORATE ERROR. SINCE IT'S IN THE PAPER, THEY ARE GIVING THE EXTRA $10 IN ECB. THAT'S WHAT I WAS TOLD THIS MORNING. AT LEAST MY STORE IS. YOU MUST HAVE YOUR RECEIPT TO GET IT. SO DON'T TEAR ANY EXTRA BUCKS OFF UNTIL YOU'VE GOTTEN YOUR $10 ECB.

        • Amanda

My store (simpsonville, sc) told me I had to call the customer service number myself, and since it's not open on Sundays, I would be waiting till Mon, so I just returned the meter… I don't need the extra hassle when i didn't know for sure if I would get the additional $10. The manager told me they can't do anything about it in the store.

          • Brenda Z

that's 100% not true that they can't do anything about it in the store. Any cashier can force print ecbs if they don't print. But I also don't like argueing so I prob woudla just returned it to if they hadn't seemed accomodating. I am very curious to see what customer service says though.

thanks for the heads up…I looked 2 times on Sunday and didn’t see it, but saw it today….I’m blaming it on pregnancy brain! LOL

starbucks fraps are $1.50 this week so if you have the $1/1 q's these make a great $0.50 filler :)

check the regional differences list that Jenny posts, to see if your area got that coupon.

NO $5 COUPON FOR SCHICK HYDRO IN THE GREENVILLE NEWS PAPER :( so disappointed!

    • Logansmom318

Didn't get the $4 Nivea coupons last week, didn't get the Schick $5 coupon this week. I'm very discouraged. Can't really get any good deals where I live it seems :(

      • Susan

I had a week where I didn't get papers and I bought my inserts off Ebay. It worked out to be a little less than actually buying newspapers and I got the same 5 I normally do, but no additional recycling. I also just bought some of the Nivea coupons on Ebay. I bought some individual coupons I wanted from The Coupon Clippers (? I think that's who I used) and was pleased with their service. Some of the coupon clipping services also offer full inserts, but you must buy early b/c the really good ones go quickly.

Don't give up! All deals come back around at some point. Hang in there!!!

        Happy Mother's Day!

      • WynetteC

Don't give up! I know this seems frustrating but it takes time, trust me. I did actually get the $4 Nivea and yet my Publix location has been sold out of them. So just having the coupon means nothing. The Bayer coupon wasn't even in my insert and I was so banking on having it to “make” extra care bucks but not this time. Just keep your chin up and know it will start to work out. There are coupons I see other regions get that I do not from the AJC. I hope you don't let this get you down. Also, try emailing the companies (Nivea, Schick) of your disappointment for not getting to try their product from not receiving the coupon. Who knows, they might surprise you with something. :)

        • Logansmom318

Thank you for the encouragement. I'm trying not to let it get me down. I've still manage to save a lot here and there over the last week so it hasn't been a total loss. Hopefully soon I'll have a stockpile of coupons so it won't matter as much if I'm missing one. I'll definately try e-mailing the company and see what may come from that. Thank you for the tip :)

        • Nik

You can ask for a rain check from Publix so that you can use the Q when the item comes in…provided that the Q has not expired. I find that I can usually get the item the following week.

          • WynetteC

The rain check system at Publix is nice, I still have several that are unused. But they don't give them out on Advantage Buy Deals, though. Those deals are only good for in stock items while they last.

      • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/XBLI3W4BVIR7LB6M3D5AC32O5I ASHLEY

I dont think hardly anyone got these coupons..which should make u feel better! This couponing is an aggresssive game however and not for the easily discouraged. You have to be first in line almost every time a coupon becomes printable and the first in line as the stockers unload the mechandise cause u need both to make the deal happen!

      • vadahlia

I had a question about a product coupon put out by SC Johnson so I called the corporate SCJ phone # and they sent me a booklet with $20 worth of coupons… just for asking a question!

      • Anonymous

Don’t give up! I am finding more and more ways to get coupons. Sometimes going to the manufacturers website helps. Requesting samples from Walmart .com helps. After extreme couponing for several months I just found out about a P&G magazine called Rouge that I have requested. Reinventing Beauty magazine from CVS, All You magazine from Walmart is a great source of coupons also.

      Great CVS week for me!

    • jwhite62

i am a new couponer and i have some general questions. When using your ECB card and coupons, what is the correct order in which to scan card, and coupons?

Also, if the store is running a B1G1, and you have a B1G1 coupon, with other coupons, how do you use them?

      • Jennifer

If you have $ off $ coupon (like $4 off $20 coupon) from CVS and other manufacturer coupons, the order to use them is:

        1. Scan your ECB card
        2. After the cashier scan all the things you want to buy, give the cashier $ off $ coupon
        3. Give the cashier other coupons
        4. Give the cashier any ECB you want to use
        5. Pay the rest in cash

Technically if you have a B1G1 coupon for B1G1 products, the B1G1 coupon attaches to the FREE item. So you can use a $ off coupon on the product you pay for. When the store is running a B1G1, and you have a B1G1 coupon with other coupons, the store should let you use both (so that you can get both product free and overage). But some stores wouldnt let you to do that.

That's what I learn from Jenny's website. Anyone please correct me if I am wrong.

One thing I dont know is who makes the rules. Usually you can use both coupons, but last time I met a manager (not a cashier) who was very unfriendly and told me I cannot use both coupons in Target. I know I can based on this website, but I cannot argue with him because I dont know where to find the official coupon policy applied to all the stores. Does anyone know about it? I dont have any chance to attend Jenny's class because I live in CA~~~

        • rebekahlittle88

One tip from a CVS assistant manager is to save one of you big man. coupon for after your ECB's and it will eat some of your tax. Like I have been saving 1 $4 off Nivea for the end and it really does take some of the tax money off because the ECB's don't.

        • no spend dad

I went lastnight to Target and had a b1g1 tresemme fresh start and a $2 off coupon and they wouldn't take both.

          • Drews_Mom

They are supposed to…always give them the $ off one before the B1G1 so that it will go through without a problem…they always have to enter the amount for the B1G1 so it doesn't make them question it if it beeps…this goes for all the other stores as well.

    • Jennifer

if you go here you can get a coupon for the purex sheets http://www.purex.com/purex-3-in-1

    • Jennifer

Jenny, I found the Poise coupon on CVS website is $1.50off, not $1.00off.

    • alisha

Jenny- you stated that the nivea deal would run through the 28th- is that correct.. there is no mention of it this week.

    • RobinB78

Dumb question: The Purex 3-in-1 sheets are BOGO. I should still be able to use two $1 off one coupon for each right? Girl was giving me a hard time about it earlier. I won in the end, but I just want to make sure I was right! LOL

      • Ashley

Unless I'm going frikkin crazy with all these cashiers saying this dumb kind of stuff in my ear all the time for the past 8 months, you are absolutely right.

    • Beenerc

The Smartsource coupons listed here are never in my insert. Does anyone know why? I hate not getting to take advantage of these deals! =0(

      • Amy J.

Some coupons are only regional, so they are not available in all areas. If you go to a website like “CouponClippers.com” or other coupon selling website, you may be able to get the complete insert or the individual coupons you are looking for…..keep in mind you are paying for the “service” and not the coupons. HTH.
Sorry you are not getting the coupons…..i live in a small town in southeast Georgia, so the coupons are usually very limited, until i found out about a nearby town that sells a bigger newspaper which has more coupons in the inserts…i've only been enjoying that for the past couple of weeks and it's worth the 20 minute drive (one way) for me to go get them!
Best to you on finding a bigger newspaper or getting them from a coupon clipping website!

    • MomMe

While I normally don't have any issues couponing, especially with CVS, I did last night. I hope no one else has experienced cashiers lectures? lol I actually found it comical how the cashier was misinformed (she told me the stores are losing money because they only get reimbursed 1/100th of the coupons funny right? she also said CVS will not allow “free” deals on b1g1 items with a b1g1 coupon such as the cover girl deal)

So instead of spending 15 minutes in line trying to get her to take the coupons, I just nodded and smiled and decided I would come back when there is a different cashier and coupon policy in hand. Not worth arguing over is what I have decided. They were nice enough to take an expired $5/off $40.

With that in mind, I wanted to give other cvs'ers a heads up on the bayer meter deal. I purchased it with the $10 coupon, and I only received $5 in ECB. When I asked the cashier, she brought the manager up since she didn't know either (again funny to me) and the manager looked at the ad and in it it says “no discounts apply”

You will get the full $15 ECB if no coupons are used. I think retailers are going to start getting tricky and implementing fine print details like this. Makes it more difficult but still fun!

However…when I got home I found that there is a rebate offer on the front of the box that says up to $40 in rebates. So I should get back either $9.99 (purchase price of $19.99 minus the $10 coupon) or maybe $4.99 (purchase price minus coupon, minus $5 ECB) I am not sure how the rebates work but I will cross my fingers!

      • Amy J.

Nothing like a “knowledgable” cashier regarding coupons….LOL! Your patience is admirable :-)
I purchased the Bayer Contour meter w/out a coupon, but had lot's of ECB's, so I only paid $2.50 OOP. It only printed out $5 ECB, so I pointed it out in the ad to the cashier, who in turn called up the manager……fortunately, the mgr voided my $5 ecb and printed me out a $15 ECB.
I'm finding one of my CVS stores is better than the other one when it comes to things like this as well as with the B1G1 coupons.

Since I've seen several people post about it, I do wonder if i had purchased the Bayer meter outright with no ECB's (and no coupon) if it would have printed out the $15 ECB or if I would have still gotten the $5 ECB…..could be a company-wide computer error (they programmed the wrong ECB amount)…..or could be a print error in the ad……hard to say for sure!

Thanks for mentioning the rebate, I'll have to take a look at that :-) Best to you on your next CVS shopping trip!

        • Brenda Z

so far pretty much everyone who used a coupon only got 5ECBs this week. Same happened to me. They force printed 10 extra for me. Bummer that they're making these random policies now :-(

          • Ashley

They can go ahead and make their random “policies”. That's alright, because once my $15 ecb did not print as is stated, I returned the thing and got $20 cash. Why would I keep it w/out getting my ECB? Thanks CVS.

            • Kazzy

same deal here. I went to sort it out and the manager said I had reached my deal limit. Funny…I walked in as the store opened. When would I have bought it? Got my refund though. But I wanted the meter and now I'm out my coupon for next time…I suppose it was a typo since its so widespread.

            • Amy J.

something doesn't sound right about that…..regardless had you reached your “deal limit” the mgr could have printed out the missing ECB's for you……also, they should have given you back your coupon if you decided not to purchase it and cancelled the transaction……especially if this was done all in the same shopping trip.

            • http://craftyscrappermom.blogspot.com/ Crystal

If you really want the meter, just save the $10 you got back and put it toward a meter–same difference, unless what you really wanted was the $5 moneymaker. I'd say you got a pretty good deal to trade a $10 off coupon for cash.

          • http://craftyscrappermom.blogspot.com/ Crystal

Yeah, really sad that Bayer isn't willing to take an extra loss and actually PAY you $5 to take home their meter.

            Seriously?

            • gingerinCA

Seriously? This seems like an unnecessary potshot at someone just for having a different opinion than you.

For what it's worth, they make their money off of the test strips/discs, not the monitors. If they could be sure customers would buy THEIR test strips, and no one else's, I bet they'd pay every diabetic in America 10 bucks to take one of their meters.

            • http://craftyscrappermom.blogspot.com/ Crystal

Ginger, I realize that concern for ethics is definitely in the minority as far as couponing goes, but I'm okay with that. I once had someone say “Good, that's more for the rest of us.” And I realize that's how most people feel about it, but I think we're all entitled to our opinions, even if it disagrees with yours.

            • gingerinCA

I completely agree that we're all entitled to our differing opinions- variety makes the world a more interesting place. :)
I just don't think this particular issue boils down to an ethics issue on couponers' parts- the $15.00 ECB is in their printed material and has not been publicly identified by the company as a mistake, so expecting them to honor that advertisement is totally reasonable to me. Just MHO, though.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

I think you should be able to get $19.99 in rebates unless the rebate conditions specifically state anything about coupon use which I highly doubt. This is how it works with any other rebates. Also, use of a Q on a product is never linked to any specific product on the receipt. So there is no way of knowing which Q was for which product on the receipt.

Someone mentioned $15 ECB did not print even she did not use a Q. So this is definitely a glitch or a misprint ad. Some of the meters listed in the ECB deal in the circular are much more expensive than the 19.99 ones. I am thinking they might have meant $15 ECB for the higher priced ones.

About the cashier, I just simply can not stand such uneducated and idots with sub-intelligence. I would have given her a big lecture right on the spot. She needs to be reported to the corporate office because this is against the best interest of CVS

        • Ashley

          Lol :)

        • cvs employee

I'm really sorry that you're that upset. I hope that you can understand that as employees we are told by corporate what to do and when we uphold what they tell us, customers get upset, call them, and they in turn don't have our backs. We are constantly told so many things and there are so many changes that it gets very confusing for us. I really hope that you don't try to get people fired from their jobs (especially in these times) just for being confused.

          • Amy J.

“CVS Employee” : very well said. Although frustrating on the customer's end regarding the coupons, it is very easy for us to jump to conclusions regarding the cashier(s) knowledge of the coupon policy.
I understand completely as I used to work for a supervisor who could rarely make up his mind on how he wanted projects done….he'd want something done a certain way and 1/4 of the way into the project he would change his mind….and this would happen repeatedly before the project was complete (which always seemed like it took an eternity b/c of the wishy-washy instructions and constant changes)…I always made sure to ask specifics, which may have eliminated additional changes……so, yes, being told several different things can definitely cause confusion…….I agree with you, no one should be fired just b/c the coupon policy isn't being explained clearly and is being changed constantly.

      • Jeanne

I bought the meter without using a coupon. A $5 ECB printed, but the cashier printed another one for me for $10. I was hoping for a rebate, but when I opened the box and looked at the rebate, it has already expired. It says on the rebate form “if this rebate has expired” call a listed toll-free number, so I'm going to call and see what they say.

      • browneyes1381

I also bought the Contour meter, used a coupon, and got back only $5 in ecb's. I asked the clerk and he explained how I technically only paid $10 for it, I could only get back $5. In the end, he gave me another $10 in ecb's, but I probably won't try an overage quite that obvious again. I do feel that companies are going to start being more strict on these type things as more people begin to coupon!!
With that said, I had a pretty good day at CVS. I got the following in one transaction so that I could use a $10 off $50 purchase~ 1 Contour Meter, 2 Cottonelle, 1 Kotex tampons, 2 Bayer Aspirin, 2 Crest toothpaste, 1 Crest mouth rinse (accidently put that with w/o thinking- did not get the ecb's), & 2 Right Guard. My paid out total after coupons, paying with ecb's, and tax was $15. I in turn earned $32. I was pretty pleased this week!!! I love CVS~ definately one of the most rewarding stores! :)

      • Michelle

I had the same problem as well. However, the Manager came up looked at the paper and what I bought and in return printed me off another $15 ecb. So I ended up with $20 ecbs instead of just $15. :)

      • jen

I got my bayer meter and I thought it was the one with the rebate in it b/c it said, “savings inside”, but it isn’t a rebate offer, just a coupon off a copay. Does the rebate form have a web address to print out from?

    • tigerbeach110

Did Red Plum have a coupon paper in Sunday's newspapers? The one I got did not. It had Smart Source, but not RP. I normally only purchase one paper unlike some of my friends. But I wonder if I should run out and grab another if the RP was supposed to be there. I'm in Spartanburg, SC

    • MARIA

I've read the comments and I noticed that no one said anything about the 2 ltr pepsi products listed for .88. My local CVS has cokes on sale for .88, not pepsis. My husband picked up 6 pepsis and walked out with them, while I was paying, before we realized they were not the ones on sale. Blew my deal!

      • http://teenstotsandeverythinginbetween.blogspot.com/ Sheila

Mine was the exact opposite. We had Pepsi products on sale not Cokes. I was so disappointed!

    • noahsmommy0716

Just got back from my CVS trip since this is my 4th time doing CVS can you guys let me know how I did? I got…1 12pk cottonelle, 1 crest toothpaste, 1 kotex uliner, 1 pack huggies diapers, 1 schick hydro, 2 covergirl lip glosses for $12.94. Plus I got back $14.49 ECB and still have $3.34 left on CVS money card from returing the recalled Tylenol…Let me know your opinions…

      • Wendy

        What recalled Tylenol products?

        • Anonymous

There were alot of children’s meds that were recalled recently: Tylenol, Zyrtec, Benadryl and Motrin, Go to- http://www.mcneilproductrecall.com/page.jhtml?id=/include/mpr_ndc_finder.inc and it will give you a list of products.

        • Abigail

A bunch of infant and kids' tylenol, motrin, zyrtec and benadryl. Jenny did a post about a week ago and you can go and see if anything in your pantry is affected.

      • KashLea1

CVS money card? I filled out the form on their website & waiting for a refund. So I am lost about what CVS money card you are talking about? Thanks!

        • noahsmommy0716

instead of waiting on a refund from tylenol and motrin…I returned the bottles of tylenol and motrin that was recalled and got back a cvs money card (like a gift card)…

          • KashLea1

            I didn't know that.. thanks!

I am new to the couponing world… I have to get my husband razors and see this for CVS

$4 ECB wyb Schick Hydro 3 or Hydro 5 Razors $8.99 Limit 1
-$5 off Schick Hydro Razors SS 5/09 (makes it FREE)

What does the SS 5/09 refer to???

      • Wendy

The coupon insert in Sunday's paper. SS is short for Smart Source. 5/09 is the date it came out (today). RP means Red Plum and PG = Procter Gamble (last week). Hope it helps

    • Crystal Lukas

FYI, I have been told at both of my CVS stores in South GA that they have new coupon policies and will not accept 2 mfr coupons for 2 of the same products. To me that's 1 coupon per item. Has anyone else had this problem? Can anyone confirm this new policy?

      • http://deedeelovejoy.blogspot.com/ DeeDee_FL

Your clerk was misinformed. CVS has always accepted one Man. coupon per item. They can not refuse to do so.

        • Crystal Lukas

No I was told by both stores starting this week that its a new policy they have started. Just wondering if its only for my area.

          • arrw

I was told the same thing. The register wouldn't even accept the coupon when it was scanned. When I asked why, the manager came over and explained that they were implenting a new policy.

            • http://deedeelovejoy.blogspot.com/ DeeDee_FL

I just bought 2 Crest tonight and used two .75 cent Qs in the same transaction. Worked just fine.

            • arrw

The coupon that I tried was a B1G1 coupon on the Nivea along with a $4.00 off coupon and wasn't allowed. Two weeks ago I was able to use both, but when I tried to last week, the register would not accept it.

            • Crystal Lukas

I tried to purchase Welch’s grape juice last week 2/$6 with 2 coupons and I was only allowed to use 1 mfr coupon for that purchase. He said they have a new coupon policy and could only take 1 coupon for the same product. I was told this at both CVS store in my town.

            • jhh

That’s a pretty stupid policy. If they dont accept a B1G1 coupon and a $off coupon, that would make sense. But not accepting 2 mfr coupons for 2 of the same products? What’s the meaning of do that??????

    • Teresa

Great trip to CVS, I had 18.99 in ECBs that I needed to use so did 1 transaction. I bought
      2 carefree liners
      3 bayer asprin
      2 Right Guard
      1 cottonelle
      2 Crest Pro health
      1 Bounty paper towels
      1 Kotex U
      used 2 $1 carefree coupons
      3 $1 bayer coupons
      1 $3 off 2 Right Guard
      1 $2 Cottonelle CVS coupon
      2 crest coupons 1 for $1 off and 1 for .75 off
      1 $1 off Bounty
      1 $1 off Kotex U
      total 3.28 (2.88 was tax)
      got back 15.99 in ECBs
Thanks Jenny! and Happy Mother's Day

Hello! Did you get the AJC from 4/25 (red plum)? If so, was the bayer contour meter coupon in there? The weekly insert variations page says it is, but I have looked through it a million times and can't find it!

      • Dianne

It was not in the AJC. :(

    • USCNicole

Quick question. The Hydro razor has a limit of 1. Is that just for the week or month? I got this razor and the $6ECB two weeks ago, so I want to make sure that if I buy another one, I'll be able to get the ECB again. Thanks!

      • Brenda Z

it should have reset for this week. usually ecb deals r weekly unless otherwise noted

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Each week starts with a new cycle. You get another $4 ecb this week. $6 ecb from a wek or two ago was a separate promotion not conected to this one

No $5 Schick coupon in south FL. :-(

I couldn't find any in the chattanooga, tn or savannah, ga, bought a total of 4 papers trying to get one coupon :(

None in the Charleton SC area papers either. This is discouraging. Also CVS shelves wiped clean on good deals 5 min after the sale starts.

      • KashLea1

Got it in Central FL…(orlando sentinel)

    • Ashley

I got 2 Airwick Imotion kits(raincheck), 4 Right Guard deodorant, 2 Kotex tampons, and Bayer meter for free with $24 ECB's left b/t me and him. Going back for Cottonelle, Veet, and Crest :)

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=4702598 Rachel Unger

I got some Nature's Bounty mutlivitamins today and they rang up full price instead of half off for B1G1 :(. The cashier also wouldn't take my Manu Q with the CVS Q for the UKotex. Then I did everything in one transaction instead of breaking it up to use the Extra Bucks as I went, since there were 3 people behind me in line, so I had $25 oop! Boo, bad day at CVS. :P

      • mandi

I always separate the transactions I want to do in my cart and then if someone gets behind me I go to the back of the line.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

You needed to insist on using store and manuf Q together on one item. It is not the cashier's choice as to what to accept or not. This is how it is universally.

      • http://teenstotsandeverythinginbetween.blogspot.com/ Sheila

I think that something has gone out about coupons at CVS. Yesterday for the first time ever my coupons were looked at very closely. The assistant manager was ringing me up and started to question my using a CVS coupon and a man. coupon but I simply said it is in the corporate policy that you should except both!
As for spliting up transactions you can always move to the back of the line after each one but personally. I am paying for my products just the same as the person behind me so why should I expect less customer service than they do simply because I am smart enough to use coupons. ON that note, I picked up the wrong diapers yesterday so I simply said delete this transaction, I return and got the right diapers and got in the back again.

      • cvs employee

With that UKotex cvs coupon it just looks a lot like a manufacture coupon so some cashiers get confused. Also, we get a lot of customers who try to say that the coupons that look like that, but say something like target on them are manufacture coupons. So people try to pass them off as whichever they want haha. So you just kind of have to hope you get the right cashier who has some experience or you can always politely ask for someone else to help or try to explain it.

    • no spend dad

On transaction 2, they only bought 4 things but used 7 coupons. Do you not have to have 7 items to use 7 coupons? I know at walgreens you cant have more coupons. Thanks for any help. I just need help.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

I think only 2 Qs were used. One for $3 (on two deos) and one for $1 on one Bayer. ECBs are not coupons

    • no spend dad

Also, On the buy 1 get 1 sales, do you have to buy 2 or can you just get 1.

      • producttester

at the drug stores you usually have to buy both. Ask an associate before you check out or read the fine print on the yellow tags

      • DonnaTN

At a drugstore you would want to get both. Otherwise you lose on the “free” product. They usually ring up one FULL price and the other is free. HTH.

    • Mysterious_Mentalist

Heads up. In two weeks, there is a great deal for Old Spice (and Gillette) Body wash. Buy one for $4 and get back $4 ecb with limit two. That was not the exciting part but there is a $1/2 OS bw Q in PG booklet, and B1G1 free OS bw Q in RP (I believe), not PG, just few weeks ago. That would make it a $5 moneymaker (if you can use $1/2 Q also, or else $4). Let me know if I am wrong or missing something there. Also, please list the date of the b1g1 Q insert-I forgot but is sometimes in April.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

I checked again. OS bw b1g1 Qs is also included in last PG out. It might even be better for Gillette. There are Gillette bw Qs $4/2 and b1g1. So you might even get $8 ecb moneymaker

        • joanna00

Awesome, thank you! Will definitely be looking out for this!

    • Gina

Hi! I am really new to this coupon process (about 2 weeks now) & I have a couple of questions. First, if I buy 2 covergirl products & they are buy one get one free. Then I have a coupon save $2.50 on two covergirl products & than a $1.00 off covergirl product, can I use both coupons or only the coupon that says $2.50 off two? I am pretty confussed about this. Also my second question is I see that some people are spliting up transactions & using the ECB's from the first transaction for the second transaction & so on. Do the cashiers mind you doing this? I didn't know if you had to come back another day or wait a certain amount of time? Thanks so much for any help! I just got a little addicted & trying to figure evrything out.

      • elisa

You cannot use both the $2.50/2 and the $1/1 for 2 products, because the number of products specified would equal 3 and you are only buying 2 (if that makes sense)–you would have to use either 2 $1/1 q's or 1 $2.50/2, or buy 3 products. You CAN, however, use a B1G1 coupon and a $1/1 coupon because even though the B1G1 requires purchasing 2 products, the savings is only for 1 product, making it a $$/1 q (with the prerequisite of buying another product). I hope this answer is helpful and not more confusing. =)

        • Gina

Thank you for explaining that to me! That helps alot & I understand now. I hope you have a great week & take care!

          • elisa

You, too! Glad I could help. =)

Can you use grocery store coupons at CVS? (i.e. Food Lion)

      • KashLea1

Not at my CVS :( Call & ask your local store.

    • Gina

My question is…I see that some stores let you stack coupons, 1 store coupon & 1 manufacturer coupon. How exactly do you find a store coupon & what shows that it is different from a manufacture coupon? I asked the customer service at Bi~Lo & she had a hard time explaining it to me. I asked if a store coupon was the coupon that was printed at the end of my shopping trip (which does say Bi~Lo on it) & she said that those coupons are manufacturer & I could only use one in the transaction. I would love to know where to look for the store coupon at Bi~Lo & Cvs. Thanks so much for any help!

      • DonnaTN

A manufacturer coupon starts with a 5 or 9 and store coupons depending on where – vary. CVS coupons are those printed out at the price checker or from cvs's website, they generally start with a 4. The catalina's that print out at the end of shopping trips are usually manufacturer coupons but just with the store's logo on it. Bi-lo typically doesn't have their own store coupons or at least I haven't across any. The only Bi-lo coupons I have come across are those printed from the survey taken at the end of your receipt for a free item. A store coupon is just the stores way of discounting you on their product for their marketing and a manufacturer's coupon is the company that will pay the store back for that product sold plus the stores get an extra 8cents for the coupon. HTH.

    • k8winn5

Ended up spending $15 dollars and got $20 ecb!! Too bad I didn't get the $5 schick coupon in the paper or I would've only paid $10 dollars.
      Items bought:
      2-old spice body wash
      2-crest toothpaste
      1-schick razor
      2-right guard deodorant
      B1G1 covergirl lipstick ($8.99 each)
      1-u by kotex

      used coupons:
$5 off $40 purchase from cvs scanner
      B1G1 old spice manufacturer coupon
      $1 off manufacturer coupon
$2 cvs coupon from scan machine($2 off any 2 bodywash or bars soap)
      .75cent crest manufacture coupon
(no schick razor coupon in my sunday paper)
$3/2 off right gurad deodorant manufacturer coupon
      B1G1 covergirl manufacturer coupon
      $2.50/2 Covergirl products PG 5/02
-$1 off U by Kotex SS 4/18, April All You or printable
-$1 off U by Kotex printable (CVS Coupon, used zip code 37343)

paid little over $15 (would've been $10 had i had the $5 schick coupon)
Got $20 ECB for future purchases!!

      • k8winn5

Forgot to mention in the coupons I used that I used $4 ECB.

    • Thindery

What happens when you get a raincheck for an item that is suppose to get ECB? Do you still get the ECB and when do you actually pay for the item? I have a coupon for RightGuard deodorant that would make it free after ECB, but they are currently out.

      • wolverinehokie

The rain check has a spot for them to fill out saying how many ECB you should get. When they actually have the item again and you give them your rain check, they'll print out ECB for you and that is when you pay for it.

      • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/UGUKXRBNWVPIAAPWKSWKWPTULM Mrs.

When I get a raincheck, I cut out the ad and staple it to the raincheck so there is no question. The clerks really appreciate this, because there are way too many sales for them to keep up with.

        • mag9775

What a great idea! How silly I never thought of that!

I’m confused about manufacturer/store coupons. When I print coupons online (like from Target.com or CVS.com) some are labeled manufacturer coupons and some are labeled store coupons. Can those that are labeled as manufacturer coupons be used anywhere or still only at that store. Some say “manufacturer” but still have target.com or cvs.com on them. For example, I printed a Claritin coupon from CVS.com. It says manufacturer’s coupon in the top black box but it also says CVS/pharmacy below the picture. Can I stack it at CVS with a Claritin coupon from the newspaper (or is it only Target that stacks)? Can I use the manufacturer coupon printed at CVS.com at another store? (The Claritin is just an example).

      • wolverinehokie

If it says “manufacturer”, it is a manufacturer coupon even if there is a Target or whatever logo on it. So the CVS Claritin coupon can not be stacked with one from the paper since they are both manufacturer coupons. You should be able to use manufacturer coupons anywhere, even if they have logos on them like Target or CVS.

        • Jessica

Thats not true. Thats why people are allowed to use the two UKotex coupons this week. One is man. one is store. even though they both say manufacturer.

          • wolverinehokie

Are you sure the CVS coupon said manufacturer? I used mine so I don't have it to verify, but I'm pretty sure it said store coupon or retailer coupon, something along those lines. The first number of the small bar will also tell you if it's a manufacturer or store coupon, but I forget which is which. I think 5 means Manufacturer and 4 means store or something like that.

      • Anonymous

CVS coupons have a link to coupon.com I believe. So not all Qs you see in that window within CVs wensite are not CVS Qs. On left panel , you may click cvs q. and it will sort the CVS Qs in the beginning of the page. Each Q where you click to select would have CVS logo meaning CVS store Q. and then normal manuf Qs also appear afterward.

    • gigglesth

With regard to the $15 ECB wyb the glucose meter… has anyone deteremined what the “no discounts applied” means? Is this a CVS policy or a manufacturer policy? Are customers getting the $15 ECB withOUT using the $10 off Q? Also… I hear there is a rebate? Anyone purchase the meter and care to comment on the details of the rebate? Thanks much!!! Happy Trippin'!

      • Deshaine

BTW… I REALLY interested in a BP monitor. There is one on “sale” this week. Are there anticipated ECB available in the comings weeks?

        • wolverinehokie

I tried buying the meter yesterday and it only printed $5 ECB. I didn't fight it because I wasn't sure about the “no discounts” thing, but today I was reading that really applies to government programs where people can get discounts for various reasons. So basically those people can not get discounts in addition to the sale price. We should still be able to get $15 ECB since that is what the ad says, but it appears to be printing $5 in most places. I'm going back to CVS to try and get my missing $10 ECB.

          • Deshaine

Thanks for responding. I asked the CVS Customer Care Rep about the “no discounts” and she said that did not refer to coupons. I hope you can get your extra $10 ECB. KMP.

      • elisa

I bought the meter and used the $10 off q, and it only printed 5 ECB's. Mine did have a rebate (it is marked on the side of the box). According to the rebate info inside the box, it had expired, but I called the customer service # and they said that the rebate has been extended. So, in the end I will end up getting back the $10 I paid for the meter (or maybe the full $19.99), plus the 5 ECB's–not a bad deal, especially if you need the meter or know someone else who does.

        • Deshaine

Thanks for responding, I call the CVS Customer Care line and they said the ECB is NOT “up to $15” but that it IS $15 on any meter and that I should be able to use my MQ AND get the $15 ECB. She further indicated if they give me problems to have the clerk or store manager call the CVS customer care line for clarification. ::shrug:: I'm gonna try this week…

        • SAN

Do you still get the rebate if you paid less out of pocket?

          • elisa

You mail in your receipt and they will give you a rebate for the amount of the purchase price, up to $55. If you bought several other things in the transactions, I would think you would have no problem getting the full $19.99 back, since the q is not identified. However, since the meter is the only thing on MY receipt, it is pretty obvious that I only paid $10 for it, so I don't know if I will get back $10 or $20. Either way, though, ECB's will still be free. Hope this helps.

          • Mysterious_Mentalist

Rebate is continegent upon purchae price that appears on the receipt right after the actual item in question. It makes no difference how you pid with Q or cash/credit. Even if your receipt shows “coupon” it could have been some store Q or promotion. Therefore, rebate is only applied to the amount of purchase which in this case is 19.99.

    • Amy

I wanted to mention a couple of things. Sorry if anything repeats, 300 comments is too many to scroll through! :)

First, the “Jeans” diapers from Huggies coupon worked for me. I did not have the $1.50 off Huggies coupon since I was desparate and used it at Publix on Thursday. My CVS did not have these mysterious Jeans diapers, but they let me use the $1 off coupon for a regular package!!

I saw a lot of coupons about people not getting the Schick coupon. I thought it would be interesting to note that I buy two papers each Sunday (Orlando Sentinal and Daytona Beach News-Journal; I live in DeLand which is in between so our stores usually carry both papers). The Schick coupon was in the Sentinal SS but not in the News-Journal SS.

I had a pretty good trip between CVS and WAGS this week. I was really happy!

      • http://craftyscrappermom.blogspot.com/ Crystal

My circular said that the “jeans” diapers wouldn't go on sale until 5/16, although they had them on the shelves. They did not work for the sale or ECB though, so I returned them.

I'm surprised they let you misuse the coupon, although maybe the rules are different since it was a CVS store coupon.

    • lindarella

right guard total defense was listed @ 2.49 in my circular!

Has anybody been told there magnet hasn't come in yet? I went to pick mine up today and they said they never received it. I got an email on 4-30-10 saying it was shipped to the store. :(

Mine hasn't been delivered to the store yet either and my ship date was 4-30 too. They told me to call cvs customer service and find out status….haven't done that yet though.

It took mine an extra 3 days to “appear” in the store after I got an email

Does anyone know how much the Purex 3 in 1 laundry sheets are selling for? I know they are B1G1, but I'm curious as to the price of 1….thanks!

      • Nancy Smith

at my CVS this morning (Asheville, NC) they were $8.99 for 20, I used the q in Sunday's paper and then I also had a q for a $1.00 off that I received in a free sample in the mail. That made them $5.99 total, which I didn't think was to bad for 40 sheets. I plan to take them with us when we go to Florida this summer since they will be easy to pack. Hope this helps.

        • Sarah

Thanks, that helps a lot. More than likely they are the same price here. I just got a sample packet in the mail today, so I'm going to use it and see if I like them. If I do I have 2 coupons from the paper, so I should get 2 packs for $4.99…40 loads…that's a good deal I think?? :)

          • Nancy Smith

I think that's a great deal, I never got around to buying an extra paper yesterday :(

            • elisa

I never got my extra papers, either, but I did have the $2 off Purex q's from the RP 4/18 insert. I used them yesterday and got 2 pack of the 3-in-1 sheets. Definitely a good deal!

      • eandersons1

I know that they are $5.98 at Walmart, so you actually come out better by using the $2 off at walmart without the B1G1

        • Erin

not better at wm, it would be 3.98, at cvs if it is 8.99 BOBO, you would get them for 2.50 each using (2) $2 off q.

        Me either… :(

    • grisy

      sorry, me again…
How does the meter deal works free and profit??

      • Sarah

It's plus profit because you get back more ECB's then you spend = a profit of 5 ECB's. Be careful thought because a lot of people are saying that the full 15 ECB's are not printing.

    • Logansmom318

Ok, first of all thank you so much to those who responded to my previous discouragement with positive encouragement and great advice. I e-mailed Nivea since I didn't get the $4 off coupons and in the mail today they sent me a bunch of $1 off coupons that expire end of June and a bunch more $1 off (think there is 6 total) that don't expire until 12/2010! Also was a $2 off coupon as well. Not exactly what I was hoping for but I will certainly take it and be grateful. I worked really hard on some deals using what I did have along with sales and ecb this week and I'll have to say I'm kinda impressed with how I did. This was my first genuine attempt at “CVSing”

      Transaction #3

Total value of all 3= $49.36
Total Oop of all 3= $8.30
With $13.49 Ecb left for next week! I am excited :):) Thanks for pushing me to not give up. You were all so right!

      • Faye

        Awesome job!!! :)

        • Logansmom318

Thank you :) I was certainly pleased. I made one more trip to CVS today and a trip to Target and now my total value for all purchases is $107.42. Total Oop is $28! Ecb has gone up too! $18.49 remaining :):) Could not be happier! and its so much fun too!

the bayer meter was not in the AJC RP 4/25. Does anyone know if its anywhere else (internet, etc)?

      • Anonymous

It was also not included in the Rome News tribune. There is a pretty good coupon purchasing website I know of the url is: http://www.couponsthingsbydede.com/default.asp
You can purchase entire inserts as well as multiples of clipped coups.

Unfortunately the Bayer Contour Coup is out of stock and I’m not sure of other websites for coupon purchasing online.

    • linseya

Ok I need some help. I get the jist of trying to get it all for little to nothing, but I discovered after 2 different scenario set ups that it doesn't matter how you break it down over multiple transactions, it comes out the same price. Frustration! Is there something you guys look for to get the best combinations to get it all for as little as possible??
Here is what I want and what I figured:
      Trans 1)
      Zyrtec $18.99
      -$4 mq
      DUE: $ 14.99 – get $7ECB

      2)
      Right Guard $2.49
      U Kotex $4.99
      Oral B Toothbrush $4.99
      -$1 right guard
      -$1 kotex
      -$7 ECB
      DUE $3.47 get $9.99 ECB

      Trans 3)
      2 Kellogs $3.76
      4 cokes $3.55
      Bounty $4.99
      Fiber one $2.50
      milk $3.69
      Cottonelle $4.99
      -1/2 Kellogs
      -1/4 cokes
      -$.75 Fiber one
      -$.50 Cottonelle
      -$9.99 ECB
DUE: $9.74 get back $1 ECB.

I never see where you guys pay this much. Help!! (These “due” figures are without tax btw. (: )

      • LAB

This was my first week CVS'ing and we spent 30.22 and got 28.99 in ECB

      • Linsey

Ok. Just got back from the store and it after some products that were not available (happens a lot here), things worked out pretty well. I still need help with this, so if I could have done it better without having only $.50 ECBs to start the week off, please let me know!! :)

        Trans 1:
        Crest Toothpaste $3.50
        U Kotex $4.99
        Oral B 2pk t-brushes $4.99
        -$1 Kotex
        -$.50 ECB
        DUE: $13.42 get $11.49ECB

        Trans 2:
        Zyrtec liqui gel 25ct $18.99
        Milk $3.69
        -$4/$20 kiosk print (bonus!! – wasn't expected)
        -$4 zyrtec
        -$11.49 ECB
        DUE: $3.84 get $8 ECB

        Trans 3:
        Fiber One $2.50
        Cottonelle $4.99
        (4) Cokes $3.52
        (2) Kellogs $3.76
        (2) Quad chairs $9.99
        **CVS 8pk pt $4.99
        -$.75 Fiber One
        -$.50 Cottonelle
-$1/4 Cokes (back of a BC box)
        -$1/2 Kellogs
        -$8 ECB
        DUE: $20.20

These are the totals I paid, but my calculator says something a little different. I saved 65% (total spent = $37.46, total saved = $68.37)
** The CVS I went to was out of Bounty 6pks. They let me replace it with the CVS 8pk that was on the shelf next to it. I did not have a Bounty coupon, so I do not know if they would have let me use it or not on the raincheck item.

      • Faye

        Hi linseya,

I'm not sure I can be much help with your transactions but I will try :)

Transaction #1: This is about all you could do but I buy Zyrtec at Rite Aid when its on sale and I have coupons (plus I use $5.00 off $25.00 purchase). They are also giving allergy rewards in the form of a gift card. If you have a Rite Aid nearby, you might want to check their next sale out.

Transaction #2: You could have bought 2 Right Guard and used the $3/2 IP. CVS had an IP a while back for the U Kotex, that would have helped some too. You can usually get the Oral B toothbrushes free when CVS has a sale on the single packs with ECB's.

Transaction #3: You can usually catch Kellogg's cereal on sale at the grocery stores and get them for around $1.00 or less per box. I'm not sure which coke's you bought… the 2 liter were on sale for .88 this week at my CVS. Fiber One can be bought for free or nearly free sometimes… especially when Kroger puts them on sale and you use an E-coupon and a manufacturer coupon. That's a good price for the Cottonelle and Bounty. I had $1.00 off coupons from the P&G coupon book. I think its called a year of savings.

Without really knowing what you needed to buy this week, I can't help much. If you post on here next week what you need to buy and CVS has on sale I'm sure some of us would gladly help you sort the transactions so you spend the least OOP.

    • sage117

What a deal, bag of M&M's for 50 cent at CVS.
Saturday went in cvs, scanned my card and it printed out $3.00 off of two bags.
I combined the coupon that came out a couple of weeks ago BUY 2 GET ONE FREE.
Got 3 large bags for $1.50
These are on sale this week for 2 for $4.00.

    • Donna

Did anyone actually get the Mitchum Deodorant coupon in Sunday's coupons? I bought two of the Birmingham News and it's no where to be found?

      • jennifermcgrathbutler

i got them here…don't remember if it was in the charlotte observer or the winston paper…

I just found a great link to get your email hooked up with CVS! I

http://bit.ly/93Q7ycI’ve been trying to get my email hooked up and didn’t understand why I wasn’t receiving any CVS 4/20 coupons. (I still don’t understand actually). So I submitted my info and immediately received my 4/20 coupon. Check it out!

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Unbelievable! my $4/20 Q. in my mail in minutes… after a long long time. Thank You!

      • mcleodsc

I could not sign up . An error message stated that this site was for debugging. Anyone else able to sign up?

        • 3monkeysmom

I got the same error message :-( Wonder what that means….it let me plug all my info in but when I hit submit, that's when the error message came up. I tried 3 times, still no email :-(

But thanks to tituslivy for posting :-) Maybe it will straighten out later and we can sign up.

        • mcleodsc

I tried again today and was able to sign up. I got my email with the coupon about 10 minutes later. Thanks!!!!

      • Jennifer

I got the same error message. I tried 3 times. :(

      • Deborah

Thanks tituslivy!!! I've been trying to do this also!! It worked!!

      • triciaj

I have been signed up for CVS emails for months but never get the -$x/xx coupons. I was excited to see this link, but when I tried it I got the message that I'd already signed up. Well if I'm signed up, why don't I get those coupons?!

        • 3monkeysmom

I just tried to do this again after getting error messages this morning and I got the same response as you….already signed up and I NEVER get those coupons!! Only ones for online shopping, which I don't do and will :-(

          • 3monkeysmom

            meant to say will *not*

    • http://deedeelovejoy.blogspot.com/ DeeDee_FL

Did my CVS trip this evening and spent 64 cents and saved 42.57!! 99% savings!!
      1 Breeze 2- used $10 Q
      2 Crest- used two .75 Q
      1 Kotex-used $1 store Q & $1 Man. Q
      2 Right Guard-used $3/2 Q
used 21.99 in ECB, got back $31 ECB.

The Bayer Breeze only gave me $5 ECB and they forced it to give me the remaining $10. No hassle. The cashier actually typed in $15 instead of the intended $10, so I got an extra $5 ECB. I thanked her and told her it would go to charity.

      • Steph

I can't find the store q for kotex, did you use a certain zip?

        • http://deedeelovejoy.blogspot.com/ DeeDee_FL

I printed it the day that this SS ad was posted. It is gone now.

      • Suzy

Where did you find the store Q for the Kotex?

        • http://deedeelovejoy.blogspot.com/ DeeDee_FL

I tried to get a 2nd one but it is gone now. I printed it the day this SS ad was posted.

      • HappyDFW

I had the same experience with the Breeze 2. It will only print $5 ECB, but you have to ask the cashier/manager to manually print you a $10 ECB. It helped showing them the circular with the details printed that I should be getting $15 ECB.

    • Karen

I have a question about coupons that CVS takes. Will they take competitors coupons and if so which ones?

      • k8winn5

Check with your cvs to see if they will take the coupon.

    • chrsytalm

I got a coupon from the magic box that says save $1 on any 2 cvs brand earth essentials cleaning ite. can anyone tell me what that is or if there is a deal surrounding it I can pick out.

      • 3monkeysmom

I got the same coupon the other day. I looked around and the only Earth Essentials Cleaning items I found were, if I remember correctly, some sort of disinfectant spray cleaner and I *think* some dish soap (could've been something else). Neither were on sale and both cost so much( I wanna say $3.99 for the spray) that the coupon wouldn't have made much difference :-(
When does your coupon expire? Maybe they will go on sale soon.

        • Rebecca

I used this coupon to buy the CVS Earth Essentials paper towels. Worked without a problem. I was not sure what all was included in “cleaning Items”, but I figured hey, I use paper towels when I clean!!

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

As far as I know-they are useless. I got a number of them. The sprays are on sale at my store 25% Off, still not worth. Discard !!!!!!!

      • GGood

My cashier said that was supposed to be “item” not ite. Nice to know someone else makes typos besides me!

    • Deborah

Does anyone know of a phramacy offering a “deal” on a new prescription??

      • Deshaine

I heard if you transfer or have a new prescription they will send you a $25 GC. If you renew your presectiptions every month for 3 months they will give you another $25 for every month. That's a total of 4 GCs totaling $100. That's just what i heard. You have to have a coupon (or something) in order to get the GCs. HTH

      • jns1277

I had to get a prescription for my son last night and had it called in to CVS… i received a “$25 gift card with a new prescription” through the CVS coupon machine in store about a week ago or so…. you might want to try that… it made my day ;)

      • sdshaw

Target had a coupon in there weekly ad for a $10 gift card with a new or transferred prescription

      • slovekamp

Deborah, you can have a prescription at one pharmacy and transfer it. Such as, Rite Aid will transfer in two new prescriptions and give you $25.00 Rite Aid Gift Certificate for each for a total of $50.00 in Rite Aid money. Hope helps.

        • Anonymous

Just a note, the prescription transfer to CVS is for a med with multiple refills, not a one time fill only. At least this is what was told to me by a CVS pharmacist. :)

    • belizabethc

I found the Bayer Aspirin coupon on Bayer's website ($1 off). If you become a fan on facebook for Purex, you receive a coupon ($1). If you send a friend a coupon you receive another coupon (.35). If you signed up for a sample of the Purex 3in1, in the package is a $1 coupon. You can sign up for the sample on their website. Always had three coupons in 5-02-10 paper (i think). Used 2 yesterday on the $1 Always liners so they were free. Always has no coupons on their website, but a sample is available through P&G. I did not see the Always deal above, but maybe it is just at my local store (Pickens, SC),

    • elisa

I want to let all those who purchased the Bayer meter and only received 5ECB's know that I emailed CVS about the error and I received a reply saying that there would be an additional 10ECB's printing on my receipt on my next visit on or after 5/13. I don't know if this will be true for all who made the purchase, or just those who email.

      • Lori

I had that problem too. Brought it to the cashier's attention, she checked the sales flyer, and she ended up giving me the difference in cash, with a note to call corporate placed in the cashbox. My understanding is that this is not how CVS normally does business in such matters, but I was not going to complain.

    • Amanda

My Right Guard coupon is for the new total defense 5 ($3/2) and my CVS only had the regular Right Guard on sale. Did anyone else have this problem?

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

I believe both types are on sale. Check around for a tag-they might be out of them or your store did not get them. Find another store.

      • tygirl13

I have noticed that the three CVS stores in my area rarely put the tags on all the items that are on sale and/or have ECB offers. I always make sure I pick up an ad when I walk in. This afternoon they had tags on all the Right Guards except the Total Defense (which I noticed is regularly more expensive than the others). I went and got an ad to make sure that the Total Defense was included. When I checked out I had no problems and got my ECBs.

Story of my CVSing (sorry so long):
Went last night to my CVS on the next street (we have 2 in my town and 1 in town next to ours). My paitence with this one has been running thin. The cashiers all but one and even managers HATE seeing me. They treat me very rude and act like I'm stealing the store. I walked in and seen one of the cashiers that totally walked off from me in the middle of a transaction last week turning to her manager and said “I'm going on break he'll take you down there ” i walked to another register even let someone go before me, looked down and she was checking someone else out!!!!!! I was in shock at how i was being treated. I'm always very nice and if I have any problems on my behalf (getting coupons mixed-up) I apoligize and pay the diffrence anyway. SOOOOO seeing one of the many unfriendly staff I tried to have all my things in order ( i even printed out the scenerios to help have a smooth trip). While ringing up my transactions she seen my to-buy-list I printed off and asked me about it.I explained to her about the website and how it helps me- a mother of two, a wife to a full time student, and a job who just cut hours. On my last transaction I realized I still messed up, instead of bringing huggies q i brought pampers. I asked her to hold the stuff (diapers and toilet paper) i would be right back. I went home could not find coupon ran back and she said ” i'm glad your back i let you get away with the diapers in your bag” I went to my car looked in my backseat wear my bags were and sure enough they were there!!! I got out took them in the store and paid full price for them after EBC's w/out q. I apoligized and told her I did not realize i walked out of there with them and i needed them anyway. So maybe I won her over by showing her I was not there to steal but to help my family survive, as alot of us are. I wrote this because going there had started makeing me feel ashamed because of how i was being treated. But my faith and paitence outlasted and i regained my dignity!!!! I'm not there to steal i'm there to help my family!!! I hope this helps anyone who has no choice but to go to one CVS or other store and has not been treated fairly because of using coupons. Remember always be kind and patient and it will pay off. Thank you for reading

      • homeschool4christ

I am new to this and only buy two or three items with coupons. I never go back thru and do a 2nd transaction the same day. The CVS closest to me is also rude to me. I have used this CVS for prescriptions for 6 yrs. Do they think we are stealing? I am always polite and let people go ahead of me.

    • tituslivy

I bought some huggies today and decided to try the jean coupon with my mq. It scanned. no problem.

    • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/UA7YZV25OOMCXSPENPNX4BVE3I Kimberly

The huggies Jean diapers are not included in the sale or eb promotion at my store :(

      • guest

They're not included in the sale at all – very disappointing. Especially since you get fewer diapers in a package in this 'limited' style.

        • evd

I got them on sale and got the EBC back, she had to do it manually but I got them.

    • sherina

i have 2 b1g1 coupons for an item. How many items can I buy and pay nothing. The items are not on sale at CVS. I just need them right now.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

You buy 4 total, pay two with the 2 Qs. and you must have to pay for the other two with cash/credit or ECB if you have them.

      • tarabj

You will not be able to avoid paying anything. You will have to buy one to get the other one free.

    • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/NP35JLEEXKAZ56THRYPQNHAGTA Tiffany

Hi everyone!! I was wondering if someone out there can help me with CVSing. I'm so totally confused. :( Do you use separate transactions with everything you buy so you can get the ECB's in order to save money?? I just starting couponing last week as well, so ANY tips would be WONDERFUL!!

      • ihc76

Hello :) You do not have to get everything in separate transactions to get the ECB's/Deals. BUT, if you do them in separate transactions, you will have less out of pocket money spent. It all equals out the same though.
        For example,
If you do one small transaction and get some ECB's back, You can use the ECB's to help purchase your next transaction. When you do this, it will stop you from ending with so many ecb's in the end. Because i didnt do separate transactions, I now have 30 ecb's to spend before they expire. Hope this helps :)

        • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/NP35JLEEXKAZ56THRYPQNHAGTA Tiffany

Thanks so much!! It does help!! I was getting so confused! :)

        • ItsACouponThing

I want to add one thing to that. What I do with mine is look for next week's deals with ECBs. You can use your current ECBs toward that deal. Say it says “$2.49 – get $2.49 back in ECBs.” If you have a $2 ECB, you can give them that and $0.49 and will receive $2.49 ECBs back! Put them in your wallet with your money. It will spend like money there.

      • Kim

Go above and watch Jenny's WONDERFUL tutorials…they'll help you a lot to get started.

      Did well today at CVS!

      Trans1
      2 Crest Prohealth Toothpaste 7.00
      -1.50 MFC (2 .75/1)
      Used $5 ECB

      Got $7 ECB

      Trans 2
      2 Pantene 6.97
      2 Kotex Liners 2.00
1 M&M's (filler, and hubby wanted to try them)
      -1.00 MFC
      -1.50 MFC
      Used $7 ECB
      Paid.81
      Got $3 ECB

      Trans 3
      2 CVS Bandaid 2.00
      2 Rightguard Deodorant 4.98
      -1.00 SC (from machine)
      -3.00/2 MFC
      Used $3 ECB
      Paid $.30

      -1.00 Johnson
      -1.00 Johnson
      Used $4ECB
      Paid $.39
      Got $4.99 ECB

      So Spent $2.35, saved 30.75, 93%.

      • JD

May be a stupid question, but I am new to this. Is there a reason to do this in seperate transactions. Will it print one large ECB if you do everything in one transaction that is difficult to spend?

        • Shirley

The main reason why the purchases are staggered is to use as little cash as possible. In the 4 transactions you see, you will notice that you only need to spend $2.35+tax but end up with more than $30 of stuff. If you bought everything at once, even if you get lots of ECBs back, you will have to use about $20 in cash, minus all the coupons. So, how much would you rather pay, $2.35+tax or $20+tax for the same stuff?

Take me for example, my first transaction was $4.71, got ECBs back and every transaction after that I have paid at the very most $1.50 cash. The actual cost of every transaction averages $15-$20. That is why we stagger the purchases.

If you want to find out more, look into the 'getting started guide', you will see the link near the beginning.

Hope this helped a little, cheers

      • Jaclyn Jones

So I am completely new to CVSing, so I thought I'd try it out.

So I bought Hawaiian Tropics Sunscreen. 9.99
        -2.00 MFC
        7.99
The I purchased Covergirl Lipstain 8.99
        Covergirl Lipgloss Free B1G1
        – 1.00 MFC (PG)
        7.99
So I paid 16.00 and got 5.50 back in ECB's.

So I went and grabbed another Hawaiian Tropics thinking I would get another $5 back.
this was not the case to my extreme dissapointment after I paid

9.99-2 7.99-5 2.99 + tax for a product I didn't really need, but I didn't realize there are limits on ECB's. So I came back and checked and lo and behold they are clearly stated on the shopping list I just wasn't paying attention.

Did I do this right? Could I have done it smarter? I'd like to be in scenerios where I'm only paying .85, because really CVS sells luxury (shampoo's, hair dye, makeup) and not so much necessity products. So I have to wonder how much I'm really saving, or if there marking up, giving ECB, all to equal out Walmart pricing:)

        Email me at jaclyn.jones@att.net

        • Purpledsilver

Try reading the getting started tips posted at the top. Start small, with an inexpensive item that you have a coupon for and will generate ECBs. Then, continue with small transactions of items that will generate more ECBs using coupons whenever possible. Keep the total as close as possible to the ECBs you have, then repeat for the next transaction. I did 4 transactions this week to spend as little as I did, and had a coupon for all but 1 item I bought.

    • elisabeth

they also have 5$ extra bucks when you spend 15$ on nivea shower. there were 2 coupons in last weeks fliers 4$ women and 3$ men

      • francesA

Does anyone have a scenario for this? I have three $4 off and two $3 off coupons for the body wash. I am trying to decide whether to use the $4 off at Publix for the free body wash or trying to buy at CVS and get the $5 ECB. What is the price at CVS?

        • lauriescott

My CVS had them for $4.88. You have to buy 4 to go over $15. This is $19.52 minus (3) $4 Qs 19.52-12.00= 7.52 then (1) $3 Q 7.52- 3.00= 4.52 then get $5 ECB so you make .48. BUT you get to spend that $5 AGAIN. You could use it to buy Kotex 4.99 then get ANOTHER ECB for 4.99 and spend that money AGAIN.

          • Donna

It is a great deal. The All You magazine has a B1G1 coupon in it. Also, I was able to get two $2.00 off ANY body wash coupons from the scanner red box in the store. Got 5 bottles of body wash for a little over $3.00 (paid mostly tax) and my $5 ECB.

I went ahead and got a CVS card for my husband because I was shopping there so much. My $2/2 coupon for body wash that Donna mentioned below is from my husband's CVS card and I have $3.50 ECB to use from my CVS card. Have you ever used ECB from a different card? I did not know if this was a big deal or if I shouldn't try it. Thanks for the scenario! I am looking forward to free body wash and will donate some! Also, I signed my husband up for the weekly ad and received $4 coupon off $20 purchase. YEAH!

            • mommytoA&J

They won't let you transfer ECB's form one card to another. You have to redeem your ECB's with the same card you earned them from :( I tried this on Black Friday with my sisters and it didn't work.

        • Chattie

I went in twice last week and both times the coupon printer gave me $2 off 2 soap or body washes I bought 2 mens and 2 womens used 2-$4 2-$3 and the 2-$2 paid- 2.67 (with taxes) got back $5 ECB's so it was a money maker. YAY!

My B1G1 Cover Girl coupon says any “face product.” Anybody know if this will work on the advertised Lip Products?

      • Jennifer

It shouldnt work. Unless your cashier doesnt know and push it through. Otherwise, it wont work.

        • guest

Incorrect, the bogo coupon works just fine without having to be pushed through.

Several people on other forums have also contacted Covergirl when it was on sale bogo at Rite-Aid and were informed that yes the coupon was fine to use on any cosmetic product to be used on the face – including eye and lip products.

          • RebeccaFer

Actually I should have put my reply to the guest and not to you jhh, sorry. :) The same info as guest above was what I was agreeing with. :D

        • RebeccaFer

This is the exact same information I got. I also printed out the letter from CG with their 800 number just in case the cashier would like to call to confirm. CG was the one who said to tell cashiers/managers to call if they had any problem taking the q for lip or eye products. So, I agree, it's fine to use. I have used it twice, at two different stores (RA and CVS) and it did not beep either time.

Here is the letter the other person received if anyone would like the same info:

I called covergirl last night at the 1-800 number and asked about the coupon.

Sonya was the rep I talked to and she stated that covergirl BOGO face products should work with all face products – eyes, lips, foundations, blush, etc… She also stated that if a store has an issue that they can call the 800# to verify what the coupon covers.

      • reginamarie

I used it last night without a problem. I also used a $1/ 1 Qn. I think YMMV from one cashier to another. I also think if covergirl only wanted it used for foundation the coupon should state foundation only!

        • bwood

I couldn't use mine on the mascara and it was a little upseting to me because I needed it. Oh well….I live in Columbia, SC

      • ginger83

        Yes, it worked for me!

      • tarabj

All CoverGirl coupons say “face product.” It seems to work for anything one could use on one's face.

      • ItsACouponThing

Although some people get by with it, they aren't supposed to take it. Face is foundation and powder. Lip will state as color or something like that.

      • Tina

My CVS would not let me use it for mascara a few weeks ago. They said that mascara was not a “face product”. I don't know where else you would wear mascara except on your face (LOL) but they would not let me use it. I am in KY.

I'm not sure if anyone else has posted this or not but at CVS the air wick i motion are on sale for $4.99. There are coupons for $4 off a starter kit. I ended up getting FOUR i motions for .99 each plus tax! I LOVE CVS!

      • jhh

Did you get the coupons from Airwick website? I found that the one on sale in CVS is i-motion starter kit, the coupon on Airwick website is $3 off. $4 off coupon is for Ultra starter kit or Compact i-motion starter kit. Can you use these two coupons on the i-motion starter kit?

        • Lauren2321

Acutally, the coupons I had were from the Sunday papers (from several weeks). Two of them were expired but I figured I'd try to use them anyway and they took it without even looking at it. I'm not sure if you can use both of them. The one I used was for the Compact i-motion starter kit.

        • Mysterious_Mentalist

You cant use both beacuse both are manuf Qs. They have these out frequently-One set expires, the other comes out the same week. The latest valid ones I have seen are $4/1 on regular i-motion and there is separate $4/1 for the freshmatic variety. Therefore, you can use the regular one on “Ultra” as well. They are out in 4/25 SS

      • ItsACouponThing

TY Very Much! I've been needing more. I love how you can end up purchasing the whole set even cheaper than getting the refills!

    • michelle

      Hi yall!
Does anyone know the zip code to print the CVS kotex u coupon?
      Thanks!

    • em_7984

Do you have to buy 2 items to get the B1G1 sale price on the Purex dryer sheets? Or can I get one and still get it half off?

      • DonnaTN

You should buy 2 because one rings up full price and the other is actually free so if you don't pick up the 2nd one you will lose out on it.

    • Akelli

Does anyone have the zip code for the kotex CVS coupon?

    • Jeannie

I’m also looking for the zip code to retrieve the CVS coupon for U by Kotex. Does anyone know the correct zip code to retrieve this coupon?

    • Lianna

Sorry if this has already been posted, but there was a coupon in Rough magazine for $1 off any one Crest toothpaste (4 oz or larger), Crest rinse (440 ml or larger), or Oral-B manual toothbrush.

      • guest

I think you mean Rouge magazine.

    • Sarah

If anyone wasn't able to get the Dove Body Wash coupon, it's working again….I wasn't able to, but now I do!

    • Elizabeth

Thank you, Jenny! This morning I got $49.74 worth of products, spent $3.66, saved $46.08. Started w/$11 ecbs from last week and left with $6 ecbs for next week. Can't believe that I bought diapers, claritan, tampons, 2 tubes of toothpaste, and 2 deodorants for three bucks. Oh, and a candy bar (had an ecb dollar that would have gone unused–I considered it my reward for good shopping!) :D

    • Julie

I did pretty good on Monday! 3 transactions, and WITH tax I probably spent about $6 out of pocket for $35 in stuff.

    • Rachel

Just got back and the Bayer meter ECB actually printed as $15 . . .

      • Rachel

And went back to spend it on some dipes and it only rang up as $5, so the manager had to put in the additional $10.

    • Purpledsilver

Just a tip for anyone looking for a cheap filler item. Kotex liners are also on sale for $1 and there was a recent coupon for $1.50 off any 2 kotex. Makes it .25 each,

    • Shirley

Just got back from CVS and thought I'd let you guys know what happened. First off, the $15ecb for the Bayer did actually print for me. That was yesterday. Today, I went in to do the rest of my transaction using the $15ecb. When the cashier scanned it, the amount was only $5. The cashier had to get the manager to add the $10. Not a big problem, but thought it interesting.

On another note, I noticed that tacked onto specific sizes of Carefree pads (I think they are the $3.49 ones) was a yellow tag that said 'If you buy specific Carefree or Stayfree products, you will get $2ecb'. I did not notice a limit but I did note that the promo was until 5/29.

I am sorta done on my runs, started out with $5+2+1ecb, did 3 trans:
      #1
      (1)Schick+(1)Kotex+(1)Mitchum
      – 3/15Q, $5Schick, $1+$1Kotex, $.75Mitchum, $5+$1ecb
      = .22c +tax with $4+4.99+1ecb incl. $2ecb did not use
      #2
      (1)Bayer – 3/15Q, $10Bayer, $4.99+2ecb
= Absolutely nothing OOP with $15ecb incl. $4+1ecb did not use yay
      #3
      (2)RightGuard(1)Carefree(1)Werther(2)Lindt(2)Crest(3)IrishSpringsoap
      – 3/15Q, relevant coupons (RGuard was $2.49, Werther $1.50, Crest Q was $1/2, used $1/3Irish Spring soap and a CVS $2/2 bars soap and the soap was $2.79ea), $15ecb
= -.15c (my tax was $1.07, making my OOP only $0.92)
with $7+1+4ecb incl. $4+1ecb did not use

Total OOP: (.22 + (-.15)) = 7cents (not counting tax tho' technically it is 22c OOP)
Total saved: $74.28, that is about a 99.999% in savings (is that correct?)
      Total ECBs remaining: $17ecb

I might go back for the OralB, and try out the Carefree thing I mentioned earlier. Cheers

      • DonnaTN

You are def a pro at this Shirley! :P Good job!

    • Shirley

Posted earlier but forgot to mention, when I was there I found a CVS Store coupon 2-page flyer. There is usually a table at the entrance of my CVS and they sometimes put out samples or clearance stuff on it I noticed they had the flyer there. 1 page was MQs, the other was StoreQs (the barcode starts with 4, right?) Grabbed some.
      MQ:
$1 off All any Free Clear 50oz & up (exp 8/31)
$1 off Dove Chocolates any 8.4oz up (exp 9/1)
$1 off Hawaiian Tropic any suncare 3oz up (excl lip) (exp 6/30)
$1 off Irish Spring body wash 15-18oz (exp 6/30)
$1 off Softsoap body wash 15-18oz (exp 6/30)
$1 off Softsoap any Ensembles Liquid handsoap/Starter pump/replacement base (exp 6/30)
$3 off Veet any product (exp 9/30)
      StoreQ: (they all expire 6/30)
$2 off Bioluxe any full size
$2/2 Blade any personal care product
      $1 off CVS depilatories
$1 off Essence of Beauty any bath/body/cosmetic accessory $4 up
$2 off Essence of Beauty any eau de toilette
$2 off Fruitopia any full size
$2 off Lumene all Excellence Future products
$5 off Skin Effects any purchase of $20 of products & up

You can use the Lumene storeQ to get an extra $2 off with the $5 off Jenny mentioned. The Veet Q will also come in handy. Cheers

      • guest

The $5 Lumene printable coupon that Jenny referenced was most likely also a store coupon b/c I *think* it is a cvs exclusive brand. *If* that is the case, then you would have to choose one store coupon or the other, if neither is a manufacturer's coupon.

    • Mysterious_Mentalist

A Question: Few weeks ago we printed, $2 off on any Neutrogena Suncare Prod. Someone in previous weeks mentioned some Neutogena suncare Prod. for $2 or so that would pay off with this Q. What Item is it and what possible aisle? I see no Neutrogena Suncare/prod. even close to $2.

      • guest

Last year there was a small trial-sized tube of the dry-touch sunscreen for $1.99 – maybe that's what they're talking about? But I don't think it's a regularly carried item in the trial size section – last year it was found in the front of the beauty section in a clear plastic bucket. I have not seen them anywhere yet this year.

    • Kerri

I looked for the mitchum coupon in the 5/9 SS and couldn't find it…is it there or am I blind?….LOL

      • guest

It may have been regional – meaning some areas may have gotten it while others may not have gotten it.

    • beckypooh1972

Did great at CVS today! Bought 2 packages of Prilosec OTC (used my health care spending account credit card so technically I paid for them but had no immediate out of pocket cost and this is a long term med for me any way) and got back 12 ECB's; went on to multiple transactions which yielded 1 pack of U by Kotex pads, U liners, carefree liners, dry idea deodorant, stride gum, and 2 bottles of Pantene shampoo for $1.38. All but the carefree and the gum had ECB's coming back on them. I also had coupons for the carefree, kotex products and shampoo. Woohoo!

    • grnacrz

There was no Kotex printable coupon on the CVS coupon web page. Did anyone else find it?

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=736800900 Jennifer Templeman

Yes I couldn't find this either.

    • Lucy

Does anybody know the price for Purex laundry sheets? I looked it up online, it's $8.99, and was wondering if it was lower in store. I think it's still pricey even after BOGO and 2 $2/1 coupons.

      • meka

Yes it is 8.99 at the store.

      • Karen

I got the Purex 3 in 1 sheets today. They were 8.99 each, but one was free and I got to use 2 $2 coupons so that brought my price down to 4.99 for 2. (2.50 each)

    • wolverinehokie

For FL residents, there is a really good milk deal currently. TG Lee milk is 3.17 with $1 ECB and there is a $1 coupon on their website so it ends up being $1.17 for milk which is the best I've been able to get.

      • jennifer

is this sold in south florida store? i have never paid much attention? normally i buy store brand milk.

        • wolverinehokie

I honestly have no idea. I know TG Lee is a FL dairy. I first heard about it from this site when Jenny mentioned the coupon availability. I've been buying milk at CVS ever since because it is usually $2.17 after the coupon which is the cheapest I've been able to find it. I also don't know how wide spread the $1 ECB is for the milk, I just happened to see it in the store. I live in Melbourne, FL.

          • Anonymous

I just checked my online circular at cvs.com for my zip code and the milk was mentioned in it. You can check your circular to see if it’s mentioned there too so you have an idea if it’s available before you head out.

      • jennifer

is this sold in south florida stores as well. i normally buy store brand milk.

    • Caroline

I got a great deal at CVS today! I did very similar transactions to Jenny except that they were out of the Schick Razors and the Cottonelle tp. I got a coupon for $1 CVS hair care so used that to get $.99 kiwi shampoo. I did three transactions to get Kotex, Carefree, Coke ($.88, not Pepsi), 2 Right Guards, 2 Crest Pro Health toothpastes and Huggies. I had to throw in two candy bars in two purchases because my total wasn't enough before taxes for the ECB to work. I paid $.81, $2.25 and $.88 to equal an OOP of $3.94! Plus I have $6.99 ECBs to use. Best I've ever done there! Then I went to Kroger and did the Old Spice deal and spend $.79 on two OS deodorants, 2 OS body washes and a bag of Kroger brand lucky charms to cover the difference!

Does anyone know where or how to find the CVS policy for Qs? I had a shift supervisor refuse to take the B1G1 Q for the Covergirl Lipstick because the store was already having the B1G1 sale. I explained that it's a store sale and a manufacturer's Q and that if she scanned it, it would be taken, but she wouldn't even try to scan it. I told her I was just going to go somewhere else because I know it's allowed. By time I got to the next store and to the register, that shift supervisor said she got a phone call from the other store and she's not going to do it either. I asked her to show it to me in the policy because I believe otherwise and have done it on other occasions, but I just got a nasty attitude and what I believe was her “pretending” to look for the policy. Needless to say, after 10 minutes of waiting to see the policy, I just left. I hate that it's Saturday and I have to wait until Monday to call the corporate offices.

    • Karen

I had a great clerk at CVS today. I was trying to do 3 transactions and got a little confused b/c they didn't have some of the items I needed for my 1st deal. She was really nice and cooperated with me. She even helped me get the coupons straightened out. I got Claritin, Zyrtec, Bendryl, and 2 Pyrex 3in1 for $10. One of my deals I only paid $1.15 for. I was happy. I went to another CVS later today and found the Bayer aspirin and Kotex that I couldn't find at the first one. I got 3 Bayer for $1 each and used 3 coupons for $1.50 off each so I made $1.50 off the transaction. This is the best I have ever done at CVS. I am glad the clerks in Millbrook and Prattville are so cooperative.

I just wanted to say. there is a $1 q for the gillette hair care and if you get the 2 n1 plus the b1g1 you will make a $5 profit.
