These deals start Sunday at CVS. They are a little late because I hoped that if I went to bed last night waking up I might find more deals for you. It didn’t work though. There is just nothing here really. If you need toilet paper this is your week, but if not then maybe stay home?shoppinglist1

I have a $5 off $25 burning a hole in my pocket- looks like it will have to wait another week. I did get a whole bunch of little CVS brand items and 2 Old Spice bodywashes for just $1.22 oop yesterday- thanks to everyone who has posted ideas on what to use those CVS brand item coupons on (the ones that print from the magic coupon machine- I love that thing!). I was throwing them away for a long time- what a waste!

      • shelly

Where can I find these ideas for using the CVS brand coupons? I keep throwing mine away, too.

        • Christy

I always look around the store for something I could use it on when I get one of the coupons. Take for instance, last week I received $1.00 off any cvs cosmetic item. In this case, I went to the travel section where I found all sorts of trial size items that could be used with this coupon such as Qtips for .99 or fingernail polish remover for .99. I have also received 1.00 any 2 cvs paper products. Travel size tissues are .49 each so you would get 2 free.

        • ssh

I tried looking in the travel size items and found a lot of items costing between 99 cent and $1.49- hair gel, face scrub, etc. Some of those coupons do say trial size excluded, but often they don't so they can apply to those items. Happy shopping!

        • lacey

Here's some things I routinely get with the coupons from the red coupon machine (to get lots of free stuff!):

$1 off any hair product: There are generic looking shampoo and conditioners for 99 cents (full size bottles!) in scents like kiwi (smells good), waterfall or ocean or something like that, and some others. There's also travel-size hair products if it doesn't exclude travel size.

$1 off any paper product: I get 2 packs of travel-size tissues for 49 cents each, making them free. Some weeks they have toilet paper single rolls on sale for 2/$1, which makes 2 rolls of TP free. Sometimes I use it on a roll of paper towels, which makes it not quite free, but something like 19 cents or 29 cents.

$1 off any 2 paper products: get the 2 packs of travel-size tissues for 49 cents each, making them both free.

$1 off any skin care item: There are lots of travel-size hand or hand and body lotions for 99 cents. I have also used this for a travel-size foot cream. They even have a 4 oz body lotion for 99 cents. They have also let me use this coupon for a travel size hand sanitizer (can't remember if it was 2 oz or 4 oz) and with the coupon it made it 19 cents I think.

$1 off pharmacy item- look for travel-size band aids for 99 cents, or a Johnson and Johnson travel-size first aid kit (I think these were $1.09) and have a few band aids, gauze, and a couple other things in them.

$1 off any cosmetic item- I use these for 99 cent packs of q-tips in the travel-section, and have also used it for a travel-size nail polish remover.

The $1 off 2 gold emblem candy products makes for some cheap candy too.

          • hbtoon

Thanks for posting this! I've got a couple of different $1 off Q's from the magic coupon machine. Never even thought to check out the travel section!

          • me

I have been shopping at cvs for years now & used to get alot of deals just on thier clearance items @90% off. then found this website started using alot of coupons along with scenarios by jenny which really helps out.I have on occasion used a1.00 off never realized all the things you can get that you listed. It is amazing the $ saved & yet always learning something new to save even more.Thankyou!!!

Found $1 off Duracell in “What Matters Most” P&G Mailer and $1 off Charmin in P&G “A Year of Savings”. These are good to use with this deal right?

Okay so I have a question, I have never “double dipped” before….Jumbo packs of pampers are on sale at my CVS for $8.99 this week and with the $5ecb wyb $25 worth starting next week I am wondering if this will work on Saturday evening without any problems….This way I can try to work this scenario…

      3 Jumbo Pampers @ 8.99 = 26.97
      plus $4 in filler items
      – 3 $1.50 coupons
      – $5 off $30 (received in email)
and then get back at least $5ecb

      • Lori

I really think that it will work. I go on Saturday afternoon around lunch all the time and do both that weeks deals and the next weeks deals. I am in Snellville GA.

        • I am glad to hear that. I am in Monroe/Loganville. Now I know that I can take advantage of both wks sales. Thanks!

        • guest

It will only work if the item in question is actually included in next week's sale, and it is not. The item included in next week's sale is the BOX of diapers, and chrissyb is planning to buy the jumbo pack bags. Not the same thing, and most likely not programmed by CVS to work for the deal. Sometimes there are glitches where sales allow things to work that are not advertised, but not often.

      • Shannon

Unfortunately the $5 ECB wyb $25 only works for the 48-96 ct. pampers diapers. It doesn't look like it will work for the smaller Jumbo packs.

Even worse, you'll have to buy 1 box at $21.99, then 2 tubs of wipes at $2.99 each to get over $25.

    • Stephanie

For the Diaper deal I was thinking this…

      Box of pampers 21.99
      2 wipes 5.98

I have a CRT for 4.50 off Diapers.
I have a 2.00 off a box of diapers (manufacturer)
I also have the 2.00 off diapers & wipes coupon. (manufacturer)

Can I use both of the last coupons together?

      • Stephanie

        I have one more question.

If I doubled what I bought to get over 50 dollars for my 10 off 50 on the diaper deal will it give me 20 ECBs?? or do I need to do th deals separately?

        • kermnelmo

You wouldn't be able to use the last two coupons together since they are both manufacturers and you are only purchasing one box of diapers. However you could definitely double the transaction to hit $50 and you would get 10 ECB's since the deal is spend $25 get 5 ECB's. Hope this helps.

          • Jennifer

It depends on the limits on the sale. In this case it is a limit of 3, so you could technically spend up to $75 in 1 transaction and get the deal 3x

      • Lucy

You would have to buy 2 diapers to use the last 2 coupons

    • lbrashear

Got an email for $4 off $20 in my inbox last night – for this weekend only

      • Whenever emails are sent out for $/$$ amounts off, they are said to be good for the weekend only- however, CVS will take these around a week after they were sent out. Just make sure to print them before sunday! :) (your link will expire if you procrastinate for too long- learned that first hand)

    • Julie

Any idea what the Aveeno Ageless products go for? I have the $5 mfr coupon but I also got a $5 CVS coupon last week. Also, does anyone else have trouble using $-off coupons on top of B1G1 coupons (specifically the Suave deal)? None of my CVS stores have ever let it fly. If I tried to buy 3 Suave products, they'd tell me I could only use the B2G1 coupon. I'd have to buy an additional 2 Suaves to use the other $.50 off coupons.

      • Jennifer

Hand them the coupons in this order:

        $off/1
        $off/1
        B2/G1

The register might beep at you, but a good cashier may put through the coupon anyway. (Asking them to “manually enter it as a manufacturer coupon” may help, as well.) Just pay attention to what the coupon says, if they say 1 per purchase, just make sure that you're only using 1 coupon per specific item purchased.

    • Elizabeth

If the Alice in Wonderland DVD is the Blu Ray combo… this might work to be a really great deal…

      Alice in Wonderland DVD $19.99
      Filler Item $1

      Use $4 off $20
$10 off Alice In Wonderland DVD Blu Ray Combo
$8 in ECB I had from last week

      OOP $0? tax
      get back $3 in ECB

      Think that will work?

      • Elizabeth

        nevermind… the $4 off $20 expires 5/31

        • nicole

If your store has the blue ray copy, try to use $4 off $20 early that morning. They might just take it. Also you could go into your CVS the night before and see if they have put it out yet. Your store may not be as lenient as mine. I absolutely LOVE my CVS! The cashiers in there are the sweetest and try to learn what I know about the coupons. Good luck!

        • Jennifer

They'll still take it! Ask the cashier but most CVS stores will accept their own coupons up to 30 days past the expiration date. A

      • kristine

I have never seen blurays at my cvs…only dvds :(

        • Lori

          It is only the DVD

      • Lucy

I don't think that a DVD/Blu Ray combo would cost as low as $20

    • ScottK

      Erm, boring week :(

    • Adela

Is CVS crazy or is it that I just don't understand! I go into CVS today to purchase 2 Old Spice Wash and 2 Gillette Wash, I have coupons for a free buy one get one free for each. This week you earn $4.00 in Extra Care play money, so all these products should be free. In addition I purchase Crest White stripes which cost $31.99, but CVS has a store coupon and I have manf. coupon, so it should of cost just a couple of dollars. I purchased several other items on sale which I had coupons off and when all was said and don't she tells me I owe $47.75 with tax. Well I know this can't be right and I tell her that all the Old Spice and Gillette should be free or at least I should be credited in Extra Care play money. The receipt only shows a Extra Care credit of $10.00 and one for $1.00. She then tells me that the Old Spice and Gillette has a household limit of 2 for the entire sale week. So I can only get Extra Care money for 2, which I had purchased a couple of days before. I ask her to credit my bank for those items, and she tells me she can only give me a CVS card refund. I say ok, and I ask for my coupons back, since I did not purchase the items, she tells me she can't because she has rung them up. So she credits me $71.67 from the coupons into a CVS card, and gives me a cash refund for $23.92. I am still confused, but this is the gist of it I got $71.67 credited to a CVS card for the manf. coupons, and $23.93 back in cash from the original purchase of $47.75. I am happy, CVS I think is happy, but I don't think the manf would be, go figure! Corporate Is this legal, I kind of felt bad, but they just would not return my coupons and insisted I receive CVS credit. America at its best!!!

      • chrissie f

I am happy for you don't feel bad that's what they get for not doing the right thing

        • Jennifer

They did exactly the right thing, Chrissie.

      • Colleen

The CVS ad tells you the limit on how many times you can take advantage of each sale. The body wash was a limit of one, whether you bought Old Spice, Gillette, or one of each. I had the same coupons as you and decided to get the Old Spice…couldn't use the Gillette one but oh well. Also, if you look at your CVS receipt, it will tell you if you've reached the limit on that particular sale. Since you had already purchased the body wash earlier in the week, it won't work again. Also, once your Extra Care card gets scanned at the register, your purchases are stored and that's how they know if you've already reached the limit on a particular sale. Make sense? I hope that helps….

      • Dennis

I cant find the B2G1 coupon on the suave body wash… i am checking my RP 5/23 but I dont see it? HELP!

      • Melissa

You gave them 47 and got back 100.00? Over 4 dollar body wash? You should feel bad.

        • lacey

          Oh, please.

CVS did the proper thing in crediting her with a store credit the amount of the coupons. She is now out those coupons, and won't be able to redeem them for other items (which she possibly could have used to get free items elsewhere). CVS is being reimbursed by the manufacturer for the value of those coupons. They cannot return to her the coupons once they have been scanned and are therefore in their system. So, CVS did the right thing, and this is what any store should do when you return an item to them that you used coupons for. Legally, they can return coupon value via a store credit such as a gift card, or return it in cash or to your credit card.

Why should she “feel bad”?? That's ridiculous. She did nothing wrong. The store is following proper procedure. Please don't clog up a usually-positive place with negative comments.

          • Melissa

I didn't say she did anything wrong but why not just return the body wash, get for 4 dollars and thats it. Why return everything because of 4 dollars in ECB's. No one is being negative and this is the comments section to make comments so stop telling people what to do. You are ridiculous

            • lacey

You are telling me to “stop telling people what to do,” but I am not telling anyone to do anything, I was simply explaining the way a return works if a person used coupons when purchasing.

You are the one telling others what to do, saying she should have just returned the two body washes….

I think saying “you should feel bad” is indeed negative. Saying I am “ridiculous” is also negative. I did not personally attack you, and I would appreciate it if you did not personally attack me (or the original poster).

She mentioned that her crest whitestrips did not seem to ring up the right price either, and she got confused about the whole thing. She also mentioned she is new at this. It's happened to me before, and I've been doing this awhile. It's really none of our business what she did return to CVS, or why. And it's really easy to get confused, especially when you are just learning. We should really all be here to support one another and help each other out, not attack one another.

      • ScottK

I had something similar happen and I'm still perplexed. I bought some sort of expensive nutrogena face cream for my mom. It was $39.99 on sale, you get $10 ECB back. So I used $5 coupon then $10 ECB I had, that left me paying $25 and I'd get $10 ECB back and then $15 mail in rebate.

So my mom decided after all she didn't want it. So I went to return it, my first time returning anything to CVS as far as I could remember. So when I went in, I explained that when I bought it, I got $10 ECB back and asked how that works when returning it, because I had used $10 EBC in paying, so I asked, wouldn't it just even out and I'd return it for the $25 I paid since the $10 ECB I got back basically replaced the $10 ECB I used to get it down to $25. She was somewhat confused and tried to return it and it automatically took it back for $39.99 + tax without her even doing anything, even tho the receipt clearly said I paid $25 +tax. So since she was the only one working I didn't wanna hold up her line and said I'd do my shopping while she rang up the other people and that way she could work on it when she didn't have a line. While I'm shopping she called up the manager and she came up to help and I just kept shopping. The cashier walked to me and said they got it straightened out, they had to do a gift card…So I said that was fine because I'd just use it to pay whatever I owe after coupons every time. When I get up there to ring up, she's already done the return so she hands me $25 + tax in cash, then hands me a gift card. I was confused so I said “I just paid $25 tho…” and she explained I guess it's some sort of policy that they give us back the coupon money too (as a gift card) since they still have the coupons redeemed…I don't know, I get it, but yet it seems a little crazy. I guess it's because say I buy $10 item, use a $1 coupon, they get paid back for that coupon, but once I return the item, if they gave me $9 back, they still get an extra $1 for the coupon I used, so that's why they give me back coupon value..

        • jen

Yes, you are right in your assumption. You are “out” the $10 off coupon. If you'd never bought the product, you would still have the $10 coupon. Coupons are the same as money, when it comes to paying for things you need! It makes sense that they should give you back the money. It's true that not all stores do that, BUT all of them will say that, once you've used that coupon, you can't re-use it.

          • RebeccaFer

I'm wondering if anyone has tried returning something to RA where you've used coupons? I have always been denied the coupon amount and they would only return my oop money. Needless to say, I've never returned anything to RA. I once realized right after the transaction (haven't even left the counter yet) that the thing I purchased wasn't the SCR qualifying item and asked to return it so I could get the right one. Not only would they not return the item except for the $ oop but they would not give me back my coupon which they just stuck in their drawer because they said it would make their register short!!! I love RA accept for this one problem I seem to have with returns, coupons and oop calculations.

            • ScottK

rite aid is just a dirty company. they've been in trouble many times over the years for doing shady things, so it's no surprise they'd pull something like that.

        • Jennifer

If the store does not give you the $ for a manufacturer coupon that you used, they are stealing from you. To them, the coupon is the exact same thing as money.

They give you the value of the item you purchased, not necessarily what you paid out of pocket.

          • Tanya W

I agree! I can tell you I had a problem with a printable one time at piggly wiggly and I had the same one from the paper and they wanted to keep it to send to head office to fix there problem and they gave me the cash amount for it.

        • Mysterious_Mentalist

Not many people understand the concept of coupons. Coupns have cash value when used in a transaction/purchase. That means consumers did pay for the item but just not in green currency. On the other hand, once Qs. are scanned, they are in the system to be redeemed. There is no reverse process where Q. could be cancelled and handed back to you; and the money that the manuf. would pay to CVS can not be refunded to manuf-system is just not there; not sure if it will even happen in our lifetime where everything would be electronic and Qs. and Q use would be traced for each and every pace of the use and transfers.

Since you returned the item and got your partial refund you paid in cash/credit, CVS has now ended up with extra money (the Q. value redeemed) for nothing-it would be a surplus amount. Manuf. would have already paid for it regardless of your return. As I said, there is nothing in the system that would reverse the process. Therefore, the Q was yours, which now can not be given back to you because it has been submitted for redemption (you could have used that Q. again for a purchase here or somewhere else, but you are now deprived of it); as a result, CVS has to issue you a store credit for that amount.

Now, someone did pay for that credit. The payer happens to be the manuf. So manuf. loses that amount. But, its ok. it is just a drop in a bucket and manuf. have no time to look and/or audit each and every transaction. They will simply absorb that amount.

I hope it makes sense to you; and please do not argue with CVS-at least in this case they did the right thing for you and you were in advantage. So I dont see making arguments just to prove your conscience or something-Let the system work the way it is. I have found CVS to be the most educated company so far when it comes to the system.

          • ScottK

True, I agree, I definitely didn't argue, I just didn't want the cashier getting in trouble so I wanted to make sure there wasn't any confusion or a mistake.

      • Jennifer

Because the coupons have been rung through the register, they are in the system to be reimbursed to CVS. That is why the coupons are not returned.

However, if we don't give you that back, we are stealing from someone. We can't take that from both you and the manufacturer.

But, if you just gave that to us, and you handed us $23.92 – we can't give you back $50 more than you paid – that is a bit too much like money laundering.

As far as the offer limits, those print at the bottom of your reciept. “Offer limit reached.”

        Hope that helps!

        • Cindyrella2

So when I returned some Olay to Rite Aid and they deducted the amount of the coupon I had used from my refund, (but didn't return the coupon to me) they were keeping the profit for themselves? Or as you said, “stealing from someone”? I thought as much, but didn't want to make a fuss since they didn't give me back less than I had paid OOP. I was sorry to have lost the coupon, tho.

What would you advise us to do or say in a situation like that?

    • To get the $10 ECB wyb $25 of P&G products, can the $25 be before coupons or does it have to be after?

      • jess

        It's before coupons

      • DonnaChas

Is there a list of the P& G products somewhere. Also, is there a copy of the rebate form somewhere online?

      • Tanya W

Yes like the others have said it is before.

I did it today. And here is what I did.

        (2) Charmin 16 rolls $9.99
        (1) Duracell 10pk Batteries $5.99
        Use:
        (1) -1.00/1 any Charmin from home mailers
        (1) -1.00/1 any Charmin from home mailers
        (1) -1.00/1 off Duracell, “What Matters Most” PG Mailer
        (1) -4.00 off 20
        -$2 ECB(for this week ben
-$2 ECB(left of from last week)
-$5 ECB(left of from last week)
        Total Due pre tax: $9.97
        Due after tax:11.62
Get Back: $10 ECB(so it makes it $1.62 for every thing)

This was a great deal for me. I was about to have to go to sam's club for there brand of Charmin and would have paid 15.00 something and no batteries. With this I even saved gas and got some I needed plus I got batteries that my husband can use for his camera flashes in his photog business and OOP was less and after the ECB I got back it will be less the tax even by $0.03.

    • Kelly

In the buy $25, get 10 ECB scenario above, the amount due would be $25.47, not $24.97. I think Jenny is just used to all her coupons doubling.:)

    • rachel

      A couple cvs questions-

If ive reached my limit on a ecb deal and i buy more of the item will i still get the item at the sale price without the ecbs? For instance if ive already bought 2 body washes this week and got 8ecb's, i know im not getting anymore ecbs for body wash but will they still ring up at $4 or regular price if i now buy more?

how many ecb's is a good number to try to keep rolling? i know i can always spend them on anything i need if i start to accumulate too many but it seems like you should keep at least a minimum amount rolling for when higher priced freebie items come along.

      • Jennifer

You keep getting the sale prices, you stop getting the ECB.

Feel free to get another family member a card and keep going, as long as you don't mind keeping the bucks separate per card. (We can also manually enter the coupon number.. even if it DOESN'T match the card.)

(For those of you who say that is stealing.. those are manufacturer Q's. We get reimbursed for them. It's fine. Don't worry about it. We want you to save money so you stay happy and keep coming back.)

        ~CVS employee

        • JD

It's is true we can manually enter it. You must not have a jerk for a store manager ! lol… I don't mind it cause I coupon too. But please I take enough abuse from customers as it is !!!!!!!!!!

          ~ CVS Employee

        • meags

jennifer you are absolutely right that we want to save people money. but the purpose of the extra bucks only going to certain cards is to prevent people from stacking them all together. that is not how the program works and im sure your district manager would disapprove of your advice to customers.

          • meags

oh and im also a cvs employee

    • pharmSCgirl

Looks as if I'll be staying home this weekend. Good thing my ECB's don't expire until mid June. Such a sad week!

    • Mary

Does anybody know if the Suave deal works on the kids shampoo/body wash???

      • Amy

I'm wondering this too. We're all stocked up on body wash for me and my husband. Especially the husband! It would be nice to get some for the kids.

        • Lucy

I'm stocked up on body wash as well, especially men's. I'll through up if I see any more Gillette body wash LOL

          • amy

ummm, i cant figure out how to post.. been using this site for 6 months now and never made comment until now.. but i need help with ideas on how to get lotions for dirt cheap .. i'm moving me and my huuby and 3 kids to canada in 2 months more like 6 weeks and i need it so i can stock pile and take across the border any sugesstions

            • Lyvismommy

Check your CVS baby aisle. I was able to get Aveeno Baby Lotion (I use it b/c of eczema) for only 1.74 a bottle on clearance. It is usualy 7.49. And I didn't even have any coupons with me. It's worth a shot! HTH!

      • Melissa

The kids shampoo is actually pictured in their ad as part of the deal. I need kids stuff also, no more mens. (For a couple weeks anyway. I just saw that CVS will be running the same gillette body wash promotion in a couple weeks and I can't resist free: pay 4 and get 4 back )

    • Adela

      Hi Everyone:

Thank you all so very much for the CVS information and how Extra Care money and coupon refunds work. I've just started to seriously use coupons this past week, and have only used this purchasing system a couple of times, twice at CVS ,and once at Walgreen, Since I am a newie, I find this purchasing system somewhat confusing, and time consuming, reminds me of a chess game– LOL! Especially, since stores all seem to have their own rules on limits, and earning ECB's,and/or Rewards. However, I am slowly learning, from reading the posts on this website, and will hopefully master the techniques and become a wise shopper soon. I am very thankful and feel blessed a friend directed me to your website and that a purchasing system or technique is in place that allows me to save money, since this economy is affecting my work hours and the amount of money I now have available for food and grocery. Please know I really appreciate all your time and help. THANK YOU AGAIN!!!

      • Amanda

It will get much easier and even become fun if you keep at it! Good Luck!

    • alivias_closet

I just returned from CVS where I was able to snag some of the deals above. However I wanted to add that Covergirl products are B1G1 50% off. Here's what I was able to do:

I bought 2 Covergirl TrueBlend Foundations priced at $9.48 each. One rings up at $4.74 due to 1/2 price sale.
I used $1.00 off any one covergirl item coupon (expries 5/31) and B1G1 free for any covergirl face item coupon (expires 5/31)
The cashier took off $9.48 for the B1G1 coupon so I snagged both for $3.74! Not too bad for 2 items regularly priced at $9.48 each!

      • Deborah

I tried that deal Saturday. I had the B1G1 coupon for covergirl and a $1/1 coupon. The cashier told me that they could no longer accept other coupons with a B1G1 coupon. This cashier is always very rude and standoffish when I go in there. I'm looking to find another CVS in my area. It just isn't a good experience when I go in there. She makes me nervous and I always mess up my coupons and deals. When another cashier is there I am fine.

    • alivias_closet

I was just scanning the full ad and noticed that some items have coupons in this sunday's paper next to them. I thought since it was a Holiday weekend that there wouldn't be any Q's. Am I wrong?

    • Rhonda

I'm not finding a B2G1 Suave body wash in my RP 5/23. Could this be a typo or do the inserts differ?

      • Priscilla

It must be a regional. It wasn't in my AJC copy.

      • sg

Didn't find in the newspaper for Columbia, SC. SG

      • Alexis

Didn't have it in my Dallas Morning News either.

    • helpmesave

I am so bummed. Earlier this week I had no money and I thought I would be good til payday (friday). My ECBs and $5/$30 (exp 5/30) would still be good. Unfortunately my CVS $2 Little Swimmers expired on Tues :( Now I have a $4/$20 expiring Sunday also and my CVS is out of the mens BW and the Nivea BW. I can't seem to work out a deal to use any of the Qs w/o spending too much oop or using ECBs w/o getting some back. Can't fit any more diapers in the closet and the battery supply is overflowing. Oh well better luck next time. I did get another $5/$30 exp 6/10.

      • Lori

Most stores take ECB's and their store coupons for at least a week after they expire so go do your deal tomorrow!

        • helpmesave

Thanks, a coworker just told me that this morning. I wish I'd known. I'm pretty sure I threw the little swimmers q out a couple days ago. Will have to go to Target and use the $1 TQ with $1.50 MQ. Also I get 10% employee discount. Not as good a deal but better than nothing!

    • Dennis

I couldnt find the suave coupons for 5/23 ad either

    • septmac

I got a CRT for a free American Greeting card wyb 3. That pairs nicely with the American Greeting card offer.

    • bludevilgrl

Love this site!! I'm pretty new at this though and I have a couple of questions. For the Reach floss BOGO free, I have already used my BOGO free Q. If I buy 2 floss, can I use 2 -$1 Qs or just one Q since the second floss is already free?

Also, I got a $5 off 30 Q in my email. Can I use this on a total of $29.95 or would it have to be exactly $30 or more? I thought I read in the blog recently that the ECBs will work if you are a few cents short but I wasn't sure about the CVS $off Qs. Thanks!

      • Susan

My store will let me use 2$1 off coupons on BOGO items–most cashiers don't even notice that it's ringing up BOGO. Also, yes–you should be able to use the 5 off 30 coupon. If not, throw in a small caramel (found at register and costs 33 cents) to go over.

      • guest

Yes, you may use 2 $1 coupons even though they are on sale bogo. CVS policy is that they accept 1 manufacturer's coupon per item even when the items are bogo.

The $5/$30 coupon – sometimes they work w/in a few cents and sometimes they don't. You can try but be ready to throw in another small item if you need to.

    • Cheryl

Just been in Destin and what fun I had with my daughter Dixie showing me how to use coupons at CVS, Can't wait to do it again this coming week again with her. This could be so much fun and then going to lunch together. Fla. is so behind with coupons if you go to Fla. some places do not have double coupons.

      • Dana

I live in south Florida, and nobody doubles coupons. It stinks!

    • Shirley

Was just by my CVS and found some store coupons (start with 4 bar code) for $1 off any Pantene. My CVS usually has a display table with samples and coupons. These look like sample cards but they don't actually have any samples in them. They have a lot of pages that fold out that introduces the new Pantene line. If you fold it out all the way to the end (about 7-8), you will see the coupon. I think you can pair that with the manufacturer coupons to get the Pantene products close to or free.

      Paired with $1 off MQ:
      2x Pantene – $6.96
      2x MQ (-$2.00)
      2x StoreQ (-$2.00)
OOP: $2.96 ECB: $2 (that makes them 48¢ ea)

Paired with $1.50 off Vocal Point Home Mailer:
      2x Pantene – $6.96
      2x MQ (-$3.00)
      2x StoreQ (-$2.00)
OOP: $1.96 ECB: $2 (that makes them free)

      Cheers

    • becky.e

The Butterfingers are B2G1 this week, so I should be able to use the free coupons my daughter and I got through Facebook to get 3 free right? Did anyone else get their coupons in the mail this week?

      • Kim

I got mine…had forgot all about it and then it came!

      • Mayra

I think foodlion has a better deal. I believe they have their butterfingers 2 for 89cents, therefore instead of 3 free you'd get 4 free ^^ plus a little overage

        • Ashley

I don't have the Butterfinger q but I don't think that's right. I don't see how you can get 4 free of anything just because they're 2 for 89 cents.

Like I said, I don't know what the q is, but if it was B1G1, you would only get one free at Food Lion.

          • Mayra

No. The coupon is for one butterfinger priced up to 99 cents. Therefore if Food Lion has 2 butterfingers for 89cents, the cashier would write in the full price of the butterfinger (89cents) and that should make the second one free as well.

    • Nancy

I'm new to this CVS shopping and wonder if they take competitor's coupons (i.e. Target has $1 off coupons for the Bounty and Charmin that would be great for the P&G deal). I didn't see these listed as an option for coupons to use, so I'm guessing they do not take a Target coupon. I appeciate any info. anyone has. Oh, I live in FL (St. Cloud) if that makes any difference. Thanks!

      • michelle

cvs does not take competitor coupons. they only accept cvs store coupons which you can use along with a manufacturer coupon.

If the barcode begins with a 5 or 9 then it's a manufacturer Q. The coupon you have is probably a manufacturer Q with a target logo. Technically, CVS should accept it (because it's a manufacturer Q) but it depends on your store and the cashier.

        • Nancy

Thanks, Michelle! I will try them.

          • Nancy

Sadly, the 2 $1 off coupons (with bar codes that start with 9) for Charmin and Bounty would not work at CVS.

      • Heather

My CVS takes any coupons in any amounts. Last week I bought 2 Hellmans Mayo for $2.99, I had 2/ .75 coupons and 2/.25 coupons so I only paid $1.99each.

    • Nancy

Sorry for second post. The coupons say “Target coupon” and have the Target Logo, but the barcode starts with a “9”. Wouldn't that make it a manu. coupon?

    • Sarah F.

Thanks Jenny!! I wasn't a CVS'r prior to finding your site about 6 months ago and have begun to go gung-ho on ECB savings.

Anyway- did Trans #3 today for the batteries and TP… after using the 4 off 20, and two ECB Q's I spent 13.47, got 10ECB back (so 3.47 total)!

      Thanks Jenny!

    • i'm not sure if anyone has done this, but reach website has if you register get 1.00 one floss or toothbrush!

      • kbribelin

I need toothbrushes!…I refuse to Pay for any….this is probably the only toiletry item left I have not gotten since couponing…..grr…..using one of my child's extras! lol. I NEED to go get this q!

    • Ashley

I feel like I did AWESOME this week at CVS! Transaction #1 I did:
      1 Charmin
      2 packs of Duracell batteries
      4 Puffs + lotion
      I used
      $4 off $20
      (4) .50 cents off vocalpoint home mailer for puffs
      (2) $1 off Duracell
      (1) $1 off Charmin
and $11 ECB from last week.
      OOP: 7.47 w/ tax.
      got back $10 ECB
      Transaction #2:
      1 Ban deodorant
      1 Scope mouthwash
      2 Suave shampoo
      1 Suave body wash
1 butterfinger (filler item cause it was -24 cents)
      Used:
      $10 ECB from previous transaction
      .75 cents off Scope
      $1/2 Suave shampoo
      .50 cents off Suave bodywash
      $1 off Ban
Total oop was: $1.54 w/ tax
      got back $6 ECB
my husband was amazed on how well I did! So proud of myself!

      • kbribelin

        sounds like a fabulous trip!

    • ASmith

My dentist had coupons for $2.00 off any Reach Floss product and I picked up two a couple of weeks ago and I used both on the B1G1 for some reason it adjusted one down to 1.98 but not complaining.

    • Julie

I had a decent little quick trip:

      Cover Girl Foundation – $7.99
Cover Girl Pressed Poweder – $6.99

      -B1G1 Cover Girl face product
-$5 ECB (the cashier got all tangled in ringing stuff up with the Buy 1 Get 50% off 1 deal, so she had ot redo the transaction a couple of times; finally she told me she'd have to adjust my ECB down to $4.69; it was late, she was flustered so I let her)

Total OOP (yes, with tax): $0.55

So I lost a bit on my ECB but hey, I'll take $15 in makeup for under $1 any day.

    • Lucy

Since my Marcal toilet paper order was cancelled in Staples, it's a good week for me at CVS.

      Buy 2 Charmin 16 rolls $9.99
      Buy 6 Puffs $0.99
      Total: $26
      – $4/$20 from recent receipt
      – 2 $1/1 Charmin coupons from Pampers Diapers booklet found in the box
      – $1/1 Puffs vocal point mailer
      – 5 $0.50/1 Puffs vocal point mailer
Total due: $16.50. Get $10 ECBs back. Makes it $6.50 for 32 rolls of toilet paper and 6 tissues. I'm happy and the toilet paper is much better than Marcal!

      • Tobys_Mom

I did this same deal except I had 1 $1.00 and 1 $0.25 off Charmin coupons! I was so happy to have all those Puffs coupons!!! My Total OOP was $3.29 (including tax) and if you include the ECBs I used, I am out $9.29. Still really good for all that toilet paper and tissues!!!!

      • Donna

I was bummed that mine was cancelled too. I saw nothing that read “while supplies last” that was bull. Sent an email to them – I was polite but aggravated and I am and have been a Staples business customer for 10 years.

    • Lucy

If the CoverGirl products are buy one get 50% off one, if I use the BOGO coupon, which price will they take off? The full one or the 50% off one?

      • Julie

They took off the FULL price of the lesser item for me. So my receipt looked like this:

        CG Foundation – $7.99
        CG Powder – $3.49 (full price $6.99)

        -B1G1 CoverGirl (took off $6.99)
        -$5 ECB

My total ended up being negative -0.51 and so she keyed in my ECB as $4.49 however my tax was 1.06 and I paid $0.55 total… (So I think it applied the full $5?)

    • Arat1986

I didn't see this in the ad, but I went into the CVS in Easley and they had all their CVS brand antihistamine (generic Benadryl) on sale for $5 – even the 100 count bottle!

    • guest

I need dipes and wipes and have coupons plus a $5 off $30, so I was going to do that today. Just wondering if I can do it all in one transaction and get $15 ECB when I spend $75 or does it have to be in 3 separate transactions of $25 each?

      • DonnaTN

This may be late, but since there's a limit of 3 you should be able to do in all in one transaction to get the $15 ECB's back. But you could consider breaking it into separate transactions to make your OOP less. HTH.

    • Hayley

Similac Organic TIP: The containers are advertised at $22 ea, but they're on clearance, 50% off regular price. They'll ring up $13.99. Buy 2, Get your $5 ECB. That's $22.98 for TWO, plus you can use a manu Q for each one. ;)

    • Tiffany

When I walked into cvs today i scanned my card at the coupon center. I got a $10 off any prevacid product. I went to the stomach section and found the cheapest one for $12.99. I also used a $6.00 man q from a previous parade magazine so I made a profit of $3.00!!! I bought other things so they ate up the overage. Way cool in my opinion!!

I got a 20% off discount coupon in the mail for 6/5 or 6/6 only… Im hoping to get 2 charmins and 6 puffs, use 13ebcs, $1 off charmin q…only pay about 7 dollars and get 10ecbs back from the p&g deal, nxt Saturday… hopefully they'll still hv everything I need!

    • Laura

Why are all the make up sales not listed this week? Does SouthernSavers only mention the sales considered the best?

      • Julie

Yes, Jenny usually only posts the absolute BEST deals if it's just a sale item and not an ECB deal. The CoverGirl sale is good, but the B1G1 coupon that's out there expires today I think.

        • Megan

CVS will usually still take a coupon if it's only expired a few days. Wouldn't hurt to ask.

    • Brooke

Man, I can't believe the Off refills are gone at the Fairview Rd store already!

    • RitaandSweetie

Be on the lookout for clearance Tylenol, OB Tampons and a number of CVS branded items (like toothpaste and brushes). I scored 2 Tylenol Extra Strength 100 caplets for .84ea (before my $1 MQ's) and 2 OB Regular 40ct for .77ea (before my $1 MQ's). My store was in Oakton, VA

      • Andrew

Take a walk down the diaper and baby isle. My store has some serious markdowns in that department. 75% off 20oz baby oil, ended up $1.07. $1.29 for the J&J Shea Butter and Coco Baby Wash girly-ness, but it will work for my baby wipes. Also, while homemade is fine, there are some 75% off CVS wipes that came to under $.01 per wipe, which makes it my buy price. Be sure to use the price checker to make sure you have the right ones as they are often moved.

Help! I don't have any Charmin coupons in my P&G Year of Savings booklet. Do I have the wrong one??

      • Melissa

I dont either….I did have $1/1 Bounty but not a single charmin coupon…

      • Nancy

It's way in the back of the booklet…

    • Suzanne

I would like to start CVSing…just got $15 in ECBs from taking an online survey about the Minute Clinic. Is there anything particular I should start with? Help!

      • smaks

Why not start with Jenny's scenerios above? Most of the time, you get everything for free or close to it. Don't need a particular item? Give it to a friend who might or donate it.

      • Ariel

How did you get the ECB for the Minute Clinic survey – via email or did they print up when you finished the survey? I completed the survey a little while ago following a minute clinic visit and didn't see any ECB offers. Just wondering. Thanks for the help.

        • Suzanne

The Minute Clinic emailed me a survey last week…I forgot to take it so they sent me a reminder. I've spent some time there since it opened :) Once I was done with the quiz, there was a link that pulled up the ECBs I could print!

          • Ariel

Thanks Suzanne! When I finished the survey I thought it was just sending me to the site so I closed it. No big deal. Just wondered. But thanks to the help, I'll know next time to check it before closing the page!

There is a ton of stuff 75% off in the diaper aisle, including shampoos and wipes and pedialyte and soap and triple paste and other stuff too. Drop some coupons and you could save 85% or more.

      • Lyvismommy

Our CVS (Fitzgerald, GA) also had a ton of stuff on clearance in the diaper aisle(as well as a few other places in the store). I got Pamper's Swaddlers NB for 2.99 a pack, Aveeno Baby lotion for 1.74 a bottle, J&J Easy Grip Toddler soap for .34 a piece, and several other things. $137 of stuff for only $27.90!!!

        • Laura B

Me too!! Got the larger pack of Huggies diapers, on clearance for $4.49, and with coupon got it for $1.49!!

    • sara

Does any one know if there are any coupons for the oreo to get the 3 ECB for the cookies and milk

    • Kim

What deals are you all getting with the coupons that print out from the red machine? Anyone find any good ones??? Thanks.

      • Nightingale

Found the Gold Emblem snacks in the little bags near the front of the store or at the register are great to use with the coupon that reads: a dollar off of two Gold Emblem snacks. They are 1.5 oz each at .99 cents with different types of nuts, also CHOCOLATE covered, etc. Enjoy!

        • kim

I looked at those today and wondered if they were considered 'travel size'. I guess I should have asked, huh? Thanks for the tip…I'll use them on Sat. when I'm there again! I did get 2 of the refil pkg. of baby wipes for a baby gift…there were 3 in each pkg and were only $1.99 each…75% off!

    • Jennyfur

Incidentally, the greeting card deal is for hallmark, not american greetings.

The signs in my store say that the entire $15 has to be on cards to get the $3 ECB back

    • Kim

My CVS was out of the toilet paper…I asked for a raincheck and the manager gave me the 20 roll packs instead and STILL gave me the ECB! It was all his idea! Can't beat that for customer service!!! He even went in the back (as the truck just arrived) and dug out the following items for me: Puffs, batteries, and Off refills!!! I just wanted to hug him!

      • mel

new to this website. what is an ecb?

        • Jennyfur

ECB = Extra Care Bucks. It's like CVS money, good on anything in the store except Rx, alcohol, cigarettes, and gift cards.

          • jen

Right. You cannot use ECBs to purchase gift cards; however, last week I had a coupon for an item that brought the price lower than the product by $2, so it was applied to the overall cost of the bill, making a gift card $2 less!

    • Caroline

Do you have to buy two of the item if it's BOGO? I know most grocery stores (except Food Lion) give you half price on one but didn't know if CVS would. Also, will they accept an expired coupon for an item you have a raincheck for? I have a raincheck for the Gillette body wash from last week but the BOGO coupon expired yesterday.

      • Jennyfur

Generally not an expired manu q – they're not likely to be reimbursed for it, so they probably won't take it.

But since each one is different – try it :)

      • Amy_Q

My CVS will take expired coupons. My mgr told me that snce the reimbursement is all done electronically now, they get reimbursed for them. Also- in my experience, the drugstores are true BOGOs, meaning you have to buy TWO to get the deal.

    • ang

I can not find cvs coupon policy on line. Can someone please let me know.

    • Kim

What is the minute clinic you all are talking about? Can anyone take the survey? If so where can I go to take it?

      • Jennyfur

The MC survey should be restricted to those that have recently visited a minute clinic. HTH!

    • Kim

CVS will take expired coupons in GA.

    • Nightingale

Found at CVS the Air Wick Fresh Matic Ultra, Automatic Spray Aerosol with the Aquamarina Fresh Waters dispenser on sale for $5.99 and a coupon in SS 5/16 for $4.00 off and with 2 ECB's, makes it free (except tax). Btw, Jenny, I read the Lifestyles article and it was great. I am going to share it with my daughters and mother-in-law. We are all just getting into saving with coupons.

    • mzperk

Got 2 packs of the Charmin 16 roll, an 8 pack of Duracell AA, and 4 boxes of Benadryl for $24.35. Makes them $3.48 each!

    • me

Be on the lookout for school/office supplies, arts and crafts items, pain relievers, and as seen on TV items in the clearance bins for 75% off… just a tip… ;-)

    • ns

new here-what does RP stand for next to coupons?

      • Amy J.

Red Plum. also, SS is Smart Source. HTH!
Also, if you'll go through the tutorials (top of page, far right), that will help you a lot as well.

went to get my free diabetic gift(dh is diabetic) and it was a 7 day pill holder. The Pharmacist had no idea what it promotion was.I handed them the print out and they all looked at it dumb and finally decided to give me the pill holder. While I was there I scanned my card and got a $1 off any CVS suncare(excludes trial size) and $1 off/2 Gold Embelm Products. I also bought VO5 shampoo and conditioner for .79. Total spent was $3.94.

      • Jennyfur

At my store there is a little baggy with a few lancets and alcohol swabs in it. You're lucky, the pill holder is a lot better.

You also can get a free A1C test at minute clinic locations, “while supplies last.”

There should be a little flier about the diabetes program explaining how it multiplies EB earnings for diabetic supplies.

I was just at my CVS and they had Neutrogena Sunscreen for $7.99 then $5 ECB when you by $15. Are there any coupons out for Neutrogena right now?

    • gr mrt

are the b1g1 here half price or do you have to get both?

    • jen

Right. You cannot use ECBs to purchase gift cards; however, last week I had a coupon for an item that brought the price lower than the product by $2, so it was applied to the overall cost of the bill, making a gift card $2 less!
