1st! Ha Ha! Always wanted to do that!

      • Nichole

I did my first try at CVS this week and think I did pretty good. First I just bought the 3 boxes of kellogg’s at 10.00 and had the 1.50 off coupon. So 8.50 plus got back 5 ECB. My 2nd transaction was the olay anti aging moisturizer and olay anti agiging body wash- buy moisturizer and get body wash free plus 4.00 off coupon for body wash, then oral B toothbrushes on sale for B1G1 half off plus a PG coupon for BIGI. Duracell 4pack on sale for 2.99 and 1.00 off coupon. Also had the 4 of 20 for signing up for ECB online and the 5 ECB from 1st transaction. Total on everything before coupons was around 70.00 and OOP was 20.00!!

    • Angel

BTW I loooooooooovvvvveeee me some Southern Savers!

    • ashley

on the buy 7 dove or degree i have the (3) 3/2 coupons but on the save a 1.50 on dove i have a 2.00 off coupon can i use that as well as the other ones?

      • sonyapell

the 3/2 would cover 6 of them, then you could use either the 2.00 or 1.50 for the 7th.

      • RobinB78

You would have to use the $2 off instead of the $1.50, not in addition to. Policy is one coupon per item (based on what the coupon says) so the 3/2 q's cover 6 deodorants and the $2 will cover then 7th! HTH.

    • sonyapell

Has anyone enrolled in the Diabetes EC program? I'm curious what you would get double bucks on… I can't find the list on the site they say it's supposed to be on. Also, what is the free gift when you enroll?

      • mahug

I thought I saw someone post a few days ago that free gift was a pill holder and the pharmacist didn't even know about the program.lol. Not sure about the other stuff, though.

        • Jennyfur

Free A1C test at minute clinic locations, as well.

      • sarah

I've enrolled in it because my husband is type 1 diabetic. You get double bucks on diabetes care items, its all on their website. The free gift that I got was a small package of lancets with an alcohol swab and packet of Neosporin.

    • Michelle

      Wouldn't we just have to buy 6 Dove deodorants ($2.50 x 6 = $15)?

      • Sue

I think that you are right, I also see that the calculations in the scenario are incorrect. You could buy 6, use (3) $3 off Q's, & the 3 ECB's, Total due would be $3 and you would get back $5 ECB. This makes a final cost of about 16¢ each.. Great deal!

      • shannonrdh

        That's what I was thinking too. I keep trying the math on her scenario too. If it's 7 x 2.50 = 17.50
        17.50 – 9 (3 of $3/2 coupons) = 8.50
        8.50 – 1.50 (1 of 1.50/1 coupon) = $7 total??

        • rosewood4

Yea the math on the scenario does not work, has anyone let Jenny know? I did not figure out the math was wrong until after I printed all of my coupons, ugh.

        • RobinB78

I was wondering the same thing!! Wondering if I missed something somewhere! Still a good deal for me though, as I have a few extra ECBs to burn before they expire!

    • Brooke

      what is PG 6/06?

      • Michelle

It's the Proctor & Gamble coupon insert that will come out in Sunday's paper.

      • Anonymous

PG is Proctor&Gamble, and 6/06 is June 6th, the day that newspaper starts!

    • I am a bad CVS shopper. My CVS coupons are always expiring before I get there. I don't go regularly enough. So tired with everything else I have to do.

      • Many CVS stores will allow you to use your expired store coupons for anywhere from 1-2 weeks after! You should hold onto them- it never hurts! :)

      • C. Duck

I was talking to an employee at CVS one day while shopping and was telling her that when the extrabucks program first came out i was always finding that i forgot about my extrabucks and they would expire before i could use them and she told me that the extrabucks could be used after the expiration date, she said there was an email from corp. explaining this policy so i would definitely not throw them away.

      • jen

talk to your cashier… I told my cashier that I was going to be going out of town (to a place where there is no cvs – gah!-) for 3 weeks and was afraid my ecb's would expire.. she told me that they never expire. NEVER? I asked incredulously?!!! , yes she said, never. maybe it's just my store's policy.. dunno, but it took the pressure off to spend them on items I may not need just b/c they may expire.

      • Nicole

I was at CVS 2 weeks ago and the customer in front of me paid for her order with ECBs that expired in Feb! The manager had to override but she had no problems at all.

      • Really OMGosh! You guys rock. Thanks for telling me that. I'm glad I said something. I'll be extra excited the next time I go to CVS now. :-D

    • AmyFMSC

Gillette body washes are on sale for $3 each also, so would this scenario work?

      Buy:
      (2) Gillette deodorants – $3.99 each
      (2) Gillette body washes – $3 each

      Use:
      (2) Free Gillette body wash wyb Gillette deodorant
      (1) $4/2 Gillette body washes or deodorants

Total Due: $3.98, get back $2 ECB, making it 50 cents each

      • Sue

        Looks like a good plan.

    • Jennifer

Has anybody ever walked into CVS and done 5 transactions in the same shopping trip? I'm just curious how they would react? I'm sure it would vary greatly by store. They are always SUPER nice at the stores around here…but I've only done 2 transactions at a time. I just think I would feel kinda weird doing that many transactions ;)
      Feedback on your experience…..????

      • Amy J.

I'm sure it does vary by store, but I used to only do one transaction in one day and the cashier always was so friendly and loved seeing my deals and what i paid out of pocket each week. Then one week I decided to do 3 transactions in the same visit, and the cashier has not been the same since……she no longer smiles when she sees me come in the store nor at the register while ringing up my items. Oh, well…..funny, when the store manager rings me up, she actually SUGGESTS separate transactions to me….LOL! Funny how it varies!
The way I look at it is, YOU are the customer and if you want to do multiple transactions to save you and your family money, then you should be able to do so without any 'grief' from the cashier.
My suggestion would be that if there is a line forming behind you (a couple of people) after you've done a few transactions, maybe go to the back of the line to let those people checkout, then resume your transactions…..just a suggestion. HTH!

        • Jennyfur

My advice: buy a green bag tag, and bring in a reusable bag when you have a transaction requiring a bag.

          Cost: $1.

          4 visits = 4 scans = $1 ECB

For those of us who shop there a lot, it pays for itself quickly. I've had mine for about 3 months and have earned about $20.

          • Hi, Jennyfur,

I use my green bag tag all the time.
I have 3 CVS stores on my way back home, and I usually, (if I have the time), do a transaction at each every time I drive by.

You can scan your green bag tag each time, and as long as it is a different store, it will credit you with a visit each time, so, if you have different stores nearby, it is better to do 1 transaction at each, so you’ll get your $1.00 sooner.

      • annemarie73

At mine they are super nice, but the manager does it too. There are also a lot of us that coupon at that store. I have done a bunch of transactions before and they are always very helpful. I always step out of line once I have completed a transaction if there are people behind me so I don't hold them up. I couldn't say that about another CVS in my town. I did 2 transactions there one time and they seemed put out. So it would vary by store. I say try it and see!

        • Jennyfur

I think it varies more by cashier, and by what kind of day they're having.

If a cashier gives you a problem with doing more than 1 transaction, feel free to either take one of your transactions to the pharmacy, or ask to speak with the manager. We get paid the same whether you're buying with ECB or with your checkbook – it's all sales – as long as you're willing to step out of line, so as not to hold up the other customers, you're doing US a favor by coming in.

      • C. Duck

I have been to one store that did not act friendly towards 2 transactions even though I stepped out of line so as not to hold it up then again I went to another store in the next town over that went above and beyond to assist me in every way with multiple transactions so it depends on the store I guess. I just started going to the one that was friendly for my shopping needs. it is worth it for the friendly service.

        • Jennyfur

If I notice that a customer has something that will print out ECB, I will actually volunteer to do more than 1 transaction for them. Most customers appreciate it. :)

It doesn't hurt that I'm a freak for my coupons!

      • Vicky

I did 5 transactions on a Saturday night when both weeks sales prices are in effect. By the last one, I got $33 worth of stuff for 53 cents!! I was so excited because I am very new at this. I was nervous about it but the cashier was super nice.

      • Anonymous

Employees are there to do their job just as we do at our jobs. Wether they scan your transaction or anyone else’s, I do not see what difference that would make. Only in case of line building up, one may step aside and even then as a courteasy by the consumer.

    • Lisa

      yay for good deals!!

    • Samantha White

No $1 off Windex coupons at the site from the link listed. Bummer

    • debra

where do you get or print coupons shown in red ? this is first time I have used site and need ti learn all the tricks !

      • Jennifer

If it says “printable” you can click on that and it will take you to the link to print that coupon. If it says something like PG 06/06 then that means its in the Proctor & Gamble Coupon insert in the Sunday Paper co-insiding with the date. Check out the tutorial and getting started guide at the top of the page. It will help you understand the lingo.

      • Sue

Welcome to Southern Savers! It is the best place on the web for saving money and you will soon be hooked! To answer your question, the coupons listed in red are manufacturer's coupons that can be found at the designated place in the listing. SS, RP, & PG are coupon inserts found in Sunday papers. 06/06, etc is the date that insert was in the paper. At the top of this page is a tab called “Getting started guide”. It would probably help you a lot to read the one on FAQ & couponing Lingo and the CVS-ing guide.

    • Is anyone else having trouble with a “Coupon Limit Reached” error at the registers at CVS?

I had one cashier insist I pay with my ECBs before ANY coupons, something about “sales tax.” Is this a new CVS policy or a Louisiana thing?

      • Sue

One of my cashiers said that her register was showing “Coupon Limit Reached” a while back. I think that I was buying 2 Niveas and trying to use a B1G1 coupon and a $4 off one coupon. I believe that B1G1 Q's are sometimes coded to attach to both products and not allow other coupons. However, cashiers can push them through. So far as having to use ECBs before coupons, I believe your cashier was totally wrong and I think that I would have canceled my order. Coupons are a way of reducing your total, while ECBs are a form of payment. Why would you pay before you have your true total. Most ECBs will not pay for sales tax, so you always have to pay that out of pocket, however, if you have any that have been “force-printed” , they will reduce your taxable total.

      • Amy J.

At one of my CVS stores, there is an elderly cashier who INSISTS I pay with my ECB's first as well……matter of fact, the first time she checked me out, I laid my coupons on the counter and she immediately grabbed my ECB's! I said “no, no, please, I want to use my coupons first”……..she went on to say “You know how this works don't you? You want to use your ECB's first because they are the larger amount and it will take more off of your total.” I laughed within myself thinking 'yeah, i know how this works' LOL! The same cashier insisted the same thing the 2nd time i went there. Lesson learned, I no longer lay my coupons or ECB's on the counter! LOL! I think it depends on the cashier.

Regarding 'coupon limit reached' error, the only problems i have are with the store coupons from Reinventing Beauty magazine……yesterday I tried to use two $2 Fruitopia coupons to buy one shampoo and one conditioner ….. the cashier couldn't take both coupons b/c the coupon says “one coupon per customer”……so I just had her take both of them off my transaction :-) I suppose I could have gone one day to buy one, then the next day to buy the other one, but yesterday I just didn't feel like dealing with the hassle.
        HTH!

        • Sarah

I have actually started handing my ECB's over 1st before my other coupons, as it will “on most occasions” reduce your oop tax. What I mean by that…is that let's say I hand over a $10 ECB but my subtotal is only $9.85 – then the cashier normally will just reduce your ECB down to $9.85 or you need to get a filler. If you hand over your ECB's 1st, it would take your subtotal down to -$.15 (as it will not request the cashier to adjust the amount) which helps pay for your tax. If I know that my tax is going to be over $1, then I will throw in an extra $1 ECB at the beginning to get my total after tax to just pennies! Just a thought! :)

          • Amy J.

Thanks, Sarah….I obviously wasn't aware of that :-) That's good to know!

          • Anonymous

If I understand you correctly, you are trying to use ecb before manuf or other Qs? Wouldn’t register beep for the last manuf Q. because the sub-total by then would be already 0. I am thinking manuf Q, wouldn’t beep regardless of the sub-total pos or neg.

      • Tawanda

        Rachel,

Where in LA are you? I'm in NOLA, and I usually don't have a problem.

    • Isabel

great! Thank you for putting it out so early!!
Here is another good deal: Honest Tea $1 on sale + .50c coupon here: http://www.honesttea.com/coupons/

    • kristine

My CVS would never allow me to do the Old Spice Deodorant/Body Wash Deal. It doesn't seem right to me anyway. If you get one deodorant when you buy one, then you've already used that one you bought to get one free. You can't use the same item you bought with 2 different coupons to get 2 items free, can you? Maybe I'm missing something….

      • Holly

When I talked to corporate CVS they said when ringing up your coupons, ring up the $ off first then the BOGO Free. Computer doesn't beep it and it works.

        • AKellyinVA

If CVS doesn't mind, then go for it. But I'm with Kristine simply because the coupon says “Limit one coupon per item.” which to me means you've already used that item for a coupon and thus going against the manufacturer's guidelines. But that's just me.

      • smaks

I agree with you, Kristine. I don't understand why you should get two free items when purchasing just one. If that were ok, then why not use 20 B1G1 free coupons and just purchase one item and then get 20 free items.

    • C. Duck

i have a question about the extra bucks that print out every 3 months, do you have to have a min. amount spent for those to print out, does it roll over until it reached that amount? how does that work? i have yet to have any of my 2% earnings from my winter spending(or any spending ever) print out on either of my cards and it was supposed to on the 1 of april? thank you in advance for your help.

      • Sarah

Do you have your extracare account set up online? That is the best way to do it b/c you can go into your account online and print your quarterly ECB's…if you have any to print. They are supposed to print on the bottom of the receipt or from the scanner after they are available, but if for some reason they don't, then you can print them from online. I normally only have about $1 ECB to print, but I believe that I have even heard of people getting a $.50 ECB. HTH!!

      • mahug

If you go to the top of this page to the “Getting Started Guide” and click on CVS-ing and scroll almost to the bottom, it will give you the amounts needed to spend to get the quarterly ECB's. You really don't get many for spending but every bit helps. HTH

    • kbribelin

Thanks for all your mental gymnastics putting these senarios together, very helpful!

    • Jacquelyn

      YOU ARE BRILLIANT!!

    • Lucy

I don't believe the twin pack of Glade scented oil refills are included in the sale. The single packs are normally $3.99 and the twin packs are normally 5.99. That would alter the scenario and coupons that Jenny has listed:

$5 ECB wyb $10 Glade or Household Cleaning Products listed:

Glade Essential oils candle 4oz, $2.50
Sense and Spray refill or gel refills, $2.50
Scented Oil Refills 1-3ct or holder $2.50

      (2) Glade Plugins Oil Refills 2 ct $2.50

      Use:
      (2) -$1 off Glade SS 6/06

If the Scented Oil Warmers are included on sale as a “holder” it's best to use the printable coupon from the rightathome site and use 2 B1G1 coupons. You'd buy 2 refills for $5, get 2 warmers free and receive a $5 ECB. Then submit for the $5 rebate.

      • kristy

couldn't you also use the (2)-$1 off glade SS 6/06 with the B1G1

        • kristy

          I mean't with the 2 B1G1

    • melissa

I have a questions that I have been wondering for a while now. When you get a catalina coupon from say, Walgreens or Kroger and it says it is a manufacturer coupon can it be used at another store? For instance, I was thinking about the P&G Charmin deal and I saw that Always was part of the deal and I got several catalinas for free always with the u by kotex deal at walgreens this week. Could these be used at CVS?

      • Carrie

Check your stores, but mine never want to take a coupon that has another store's name on it even if the coupon is a manufacturer coupon.

      • Chantelle

My CVS will take it as long as it says manufacturers coupon and scans.

      • christi

I wondered the exact same thing last week – I had a catalina for B1G1 SoBe waters… and cvs had them on sale B1G1. I just checked with my cashier when i went in to see if they would take them – she said they would :)

I would just ask your store – the worst they can say is no!

      • sealey5

I just asked at my Wal-mart and they wouldn't take my RR's. Hope this helps! :)

    • Liz

Fairly new to SS and was wondering when the offer says to buy $10 worth of a product is that before or after you use your coupons?

      • smaks

        Before. Welcome to SS. :)

    • Suzanne

I see there is a coupon for $3/2 degree deodorants, but not dove…did I miss something? That was a coupon Jenny used in her deal ideas…thanks!!

      • Stephanie in Bham

there is a $3/2 for Dove on the same link as the Degree, I just printed it.

    • Laura

Be on the look out for a CVSadvisor survey (If you are signed up).
I completed a survey yesterday that paid out $15 ECBs !!
Previous surveys only paid $4 ECBs.

      • nik

did dat survey come via mail? or any specific link

        • Frances

Usually you receive an e-mail and click on a link to your CVS account. Make sure you are signed up to get their surveys. I have completed two and received $10 ECB each time. Takes about 15 minutes or less to complete survey.

          • Marina115

how do you sign up to receive the surveys? i've searched through the website and can't find anything about survey adviser? thanks for your help

            • Sue

Go to cvsadvisor . com. (leave out spaces). Scroll to the bottom of the page to sign up.

      • chrystalm

how do you get picked for surveys

      • miatd

how do you sign up for it

      • ScottK

whhhhat I only got $5 very thankful tho! That's $5 free!

    • Candace

Can you do 2 of these transactions together and still get the ECBs? I have 5 EBD that I need to use to begin my transaction.

      • Ashley

        Yes.

        • Candace

          Very cool!

    • Susan

I just scored at CVS. Pampers newborn swaddlers were discounted to 2.99 per pack and the nuk pacifiers were 1.34 for a two pack. I had the $3 off CVS coupon from parent's magazine, 1.50 off one pampers coupon and $2 ECB and my total out of pocket was $2.55!!! FYI, CVS will be putting their diapers at 90% off within the next couple days so keep checking!!

      • susan

Forgot to say the total oop was for 2 packs of 34 pampers and two, two packs of nuk pacifiers!!

      • Kristen

What CVS? Were they with the diapers or in a special clerance section? I am 8 months pregnant, so this is the best news I think I've ever heard!

        • Susan

It was a CVS on Gause in Slidell, LA. But I have heard they are like this at CVS' in all different states. And I think that starting on Sunday, they are putting certain pampers and huggies and all cvs brand diapers at 90% off. It's worth the trip to go in every day and check it out. Also, they sign might not say they are on sale. Take different packs to the coupon scanner and check the prices before you leave the store.

          • susan

and they were in the normal diaper section

          • Tobys_Mom

The CVS in Madison, AL had some of the CVS brand diapers 75% off. They also had some Goodnites 75% off and a few packs of Huggies!

      • jjohnsoncoupons

which issue of parents magazine is the coupon in?

        • susan

It was in the May issue. It seems like Jenny posted a link to the magazine because I remember printing it and it worked!

    • Kelli

Hey Girls! Just wanted to let everyone know how much I appreciate your comments and how much I learn from my fellow savers. I am so thankful for this site! Frankly, this is tremendous fun and the savings are just a bonus. Have a great weekend and I can't wait to get to CVS!!

      • ScottK

        we're not all girls ;)

        couponist! HAHA

        • Kenneth

Ha, I agree, they call me the Coupon King or Coupon Daddy! LOL

        • lol @ couponist!!

          I LOVE my Coupon Men!

    • Katie

In this month's InStyle Magazine, there's a pullout coupon for $5/2 John Frieda haircare products – looks like a good time to use it!

      • Katie

I guess that should read -$5/2…

    • Jennifer

I am new to Souther Savers and am a little confused. The ad posted is for next week, how is that?

      • susan

Jenny is able to get the ad ahead of time and makes it up early for us!

      • You will also find this current week's ad posted. But she does post the new weeks ads several days early so that we all have time to plan.

        • Jess

And to print coupons before they're gone!!! =)

      • Jennyfur

Actually, as a CVS employee, I just had to sign a piece of paper promising not to “divulge” our ads to anyone outside of CVS. Which I thought was funny, because I don’t ever see the ad in advance, I get it from Iheartcvs.com just like everybody else.

It just means that CVS feels they are losing from the ad being out ahead of time, I guess.

    • Susan

I'm new to this. How can I print 3 of the Dove coupons? It would only let me print 2.

      • You can only print 2 from one computer. If you have access to another PC, then you can print more.

    • Susan

Some were talking about the Dove calculations being wrong. They appear right to me now…was it corrected?

      • Carrie

        Yes.

    • USCNicole

I have a question about the P&G deal. Last week, if you bought $25 of P&G products, you got 10ECB. This week, after $25 P&G products you get a 9pk. of Charmin. If I go to a store that does last weeks ad and this weeks ad Saturday night, and I spend $25 on P&G products, would I get both the 10ECB and the free tp?

      • Shandrika

I would like to know the answer to this also!

        • Amy

I don't know for sure with this one, but usually when there are 2 promotions overlapping like that, it only gives you the better one.

          • Jennyfur

If you ask for your extra bucks, they will give them to you. If they don't, ask for the manager.

      • ireneY

I think it'll be one or the other. I bought a whitening strip on a Saturday that was $10 off one week and $10 ECB the next. It took $10 off, but no ECB. Since the store had $10 ECB sign up, the manager forced it for me so I ended up getting both.

The P&G deal may depend on which sign is up on Saturday and what's ringing up?

      • Both won't work.

From what I was told by a manager, the register will use the lowest sales price.
So for instance, if you want body wash that's $4.99, but you get $4.99 ECB to make it free, or (for the 'new' week) the ad is $3.99 for that body wash on sale, sadly the $3.99 would override because it's trying to give you the best sale price, even though it doesn't give you ECBs.

So for this sale, make sure to pay attention to the price points of the items you want to buy (see if they change during the ads) And I would assume it would stay at the 'old' ad promo of $10 ECB. HTH

    • Sville saver

      Thanks everyone! This IS addictive.
      1. Will CVS take a target coupon? The target coupon booklet I received last week-end, has a $4 off pro glide coupon. Can I use it AND the 6/6 P&G coupon?
      2. Does anyone know which CVS in the low country will let you start Sat night for the sales starting Sunday?

      • Carrie

Check with your store but I know mine will not take any competitor coupons at all.

      • alliecat loves to save

The CVS in Lexington (in front of Home Depot) told me they would take any of my competitor coupons. I haven't tried yet, but I plan too.

      • Sville saver

Thanks everyone, I did misread the coupon in my giddy excitement. It was $5 off the fusion when you buy it and catridges. Big misread.

Still hope to find a store where I can shop tonight with both flyers. I need to be on the road most of tomorrow.

      • Brittney

CVS takes competitor coupon even walgreens ecb's :). Crazy I know

        • Abby

Will they take the Rite-Aid $5 off of $25 coupon? Never thought to try it!

        • Jennyfur

I work for CVS. None of the CVS in my district will take competitor's coupons – with the single exception of the pharmacy coupons.

    • ScottK

There's a new advisory survey that paid out $5 and only took me about 5-7 minutes! An extra $5 ECB is really gonna help with this coming week's deals!

      • Shandrika

How do you get the advisory surveys?? I looked around on the cvs site on my account, but could not find anything. Thanks in advance for the help!!

        • ScottK

google cvs advisory panel and sign up there, I've been signed up for prob over a month and this is my first survey, but totally worth it!

        • guest3

          cvsadvisor.com

        • Sue

It is cvsadvisor . com. Leave out spaces. Scroll down to join.

          • Shandrika

            Thank you-I signed up!

      • Jojo

I cant find that survey either. hmmm…I wonder why CVS never sends anything to my e-mail and I checked the spelling and it is all correct…I am sad now.

      • miatd

thank you very much scottk for this information i signed up this morning for the panel….thanks for sharing

      • Jbush27

        I signed up, thank you

      • Dianne

I did an Advisory survey this week and it paid out $10 ECB. It is good through 7-2.
Like yours, Scott, it only took me @5 min. Don't you love it!

        • ScottK

Yeah it's so great, I love making money away from work and it's so simple! I guess some of their survey's are targeted, the other person I saw that had a $10 survey was also female, so maybe it was geared towards that.

      • nik

i signed up 2 days back but got no mail from them :( also never get any coupons in mail from cvs :( is it same with any one of u too?

    • ScottK

Question: we talked a little bit about CVS returns involving coupons last week, but I have a new issue. I know it will likely vary by store, but I recently bought some deodorant that I think was 2 for $5 then you get $2 extra bucks. Stupid me however was just so excited by a deal (also having a $3 off 2 coupon) I didn't think to see if the deodorant contained aluminum (known to cause alzheimer's). It does. So no one here will use it and I'd like to return it. Has anyone returned something that gave them extra bucks before? Do they give you hell or anything? I'm sure I've already spent them, so they couldn't just cancel them out…but I don't want to keep something no one is gonna use.

      • sandraj

I'm pretty sure they will take it back.
What's the worse they can tell you…no.

        • jen

From what I understand, they will. You keep your ECBs and they pay you, even for the coupons, since they'll redeem them.

      • Jess

Or you could just donate it….I'm sure someone else would love to have them.

        • ScottK

I thought about that, but I don't want to donate something harmful containing aluminum. I'm hoping that companies will pay attention to people not wanting aluminum and start making all their deodorants aluminum free like some brands do.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

You will simply take it as a return as you would normally do. Do leave the ecb attached-use them. You should get all your money back. In some stores, they will even refund in cash even if you paid with Q/ecb. Or else, there i sno question that you must get your money in credit/moneycard at least. Just dont have a guilty conscience-you are a genuine person who needed to return the items

    • I am still new to this, so I want to make sure I am grasping it all. I have a few ideas based off of Jenny's sceneries and I want to know if it is possible to do it this way and if this is correct!?

      • Amber

Don't count on CVS having the Dawn plus so that you can use the .50/1, make sure and take your .25/1 coupons as well.

When you do the dove/secret transaction, just ask the cashier to adjust your ECB's down if necessary.

And since you have multiple transactions planned, I would shop early in the week. (And make sure you have an extra Old Spice coupon for next week, when they will be totally free.)

    • Tess

When I went to the cvsadvisor.com site to sign up for advisory panel, my computer advised me that the website had security issues. Anyone else get that and is it an issue?

    • Melissa

I am trying to print the windex coupon and degree coupon that stated they were printable. Anyone know how to get to those coupons?

    • Sarah

I don't know if anyone else got a lot of 1$ off cvs suncare from the red coupon machine at the store, but after reading the fine print I didn't see why all of my 1$offs couldn't be combined. I had four bought one cvs sunscreen for 3.99 used all of them and the cash register didn't beep. Yay for free sunscreen!

    • Tess

Just went on cvsadvisor.com to register for the advisory panel and was advised ” There is a problem with this website’s security certificate. Recommended do not open”. Anyone else experience this and is it a problem?

    • Sarah

I still don't think the dove deal is working out right. If you buy 6 @ 2.50 that's $15, 3($3/2) makes it $9 with the $5 ecb it is still $4 or .67 each

      • sarah

nm, my math is a bit off.

      • guest3

        $15 – $9 = $6 – 5 ecb = $1 + tax :-)

    • mmikebel

I have a $4/20 which expired 06/02/20, so you all are saying I can still use that? Is it at some store or who is the cashier that day, or can u just use it? If so I have it worked out spending about $5 oop for a whole lot of stuff, bc I have 2 more.

      • Bamafan

THey would not take my expired one in NW AL

    • Brittney

I found coppertone coupon for $2 off

    • Michelle

I tried to print the Windex coupon and it said there weren't any available to print. Does anyone know how or where else I can get these?

      • Lucy

There's a $1.00 off any Windex Multi-Surface Glass Cleaning printable coupon on the smartsource website. The upcoming CVS ad just states “Windex 26 oz” so it's not clear if the Multi-Surface variety will be included or not.

        • Niki

multi-surface is included!!! i just bought it tonight :)

      • kate

I couldn't even find the windex coupon listed on the website.

    • Padonie

OK, so I'm new to the site. Took Jenny's class when she came to my town about 3 weeks ago. Honestly, I've been overwhelmed because I'm the type of person who likes to FULLY understand something before I jump in. I jumped in anyway today! I am fairly pleased with myself and I just wanted to toot my little horn. :-)

I just left CVS for my first trip using ECB's and coupons. I used 3 transactions that totaled $93.98 and walked out having spent $33.69 OOP. That's a savings of over 60 bucks! I know $33 OOP might not be ideal to most of you, but for my first experience I'm pretty proud of myself! I'm loving learning from this site and can truly see how it can be addictive!

      • Amy J.

Good job, Padonie……toot your own horn! :-) Yeah, it's a bit challenging at the beginning, but once you get the hang of this, it will become a weekly “game” to you (well, maybe……I suppose I'm speaking for myself….LOL!!) and it will get easier and you'll spend less OOP. Well done!

      • Nelanie

That's just great!! You have every right to be proud!!! I treat it like a game…each week trying to spent less and less out of pocket!! Just enjoy and have fun with it while saving money! :)

      • That's how we all start. I've been CVSing for several months now. I'm up to the point now where I have so many ECB accumulated, so every week I get $50+ worth of merchandise and I pay only taxes. It's awesome.

    • Amy J.

I had to go to CVS today to pick up the other 1/2 of my daughter's antibiotic prescription (silly insurance would only let them fill 1/2 at a time…..craziness)…..anyway, I'm now glad I had to go back today, b/c when I paid for the med, the register printed me a $5 off $15!!! I could hardly believe my eyes, besides the fact that I haven't received a cvs $ off $$ coupon in what seems like forever!
Can't wait to get the time to sit down alone later and plan out tomorrow's CVS trip! Wooo Hooo!

      • Jess

I got one too…went in there to get the prevacid deal (got at $6/1 from the red coupon machine) and got a $5/15 when I checked out!!!!

        • Amy J.

That's awesome! The lady at the pharmacy said the register had been spitting those $5/$15 all day at my local CVS…..wonder if that's only local (Southeast Georgia) or regional or at all CVS stores???
Anyway, have fun shopping w/ your coupon! Mine expires on 06/08….good thing I already planned on going tomorrow :-)

          • ScottK

I picked up the ban deodorant deal I had been missing today but no extra coupons :(

          • sealey5

I got one of the $5/ $15 today and I live in Davenport Florida! It was a nice surprise!

          • Just got one $5/15 today here in Greenville, SC!!!

          • RobinB78

I got two $5/$15 today! One from each of the 2 CVS’s in my town!! I’m in Eastern NC

      • MAC

I also got one this morning!! :)

      • Fallaya

I haven't got any $ off $$ coupons in almost a month…so money-making for me, only rolling ECB's on stuff I don't need. I contacted CVS to see what was up, and they sent some automated message. Oh well. If this keeps up, I'll have to stick with Rite Aid. It's a shame though…I was beginning to enjoy CVS!

      • kim

I got the same thing tonight….I was planning on spending $10 since I had $10ECB today, but since I'm going out of town and didn't want to loose the $5 off of $15 coupon as it would expire before I returned, I paired it up with a BUNCH of the CVS snacks that the little red machine was printing out the coupons for ($1 off 2 of them) and one of the CVS $2.19 sunscreens (2 pair with the $1 off coupons form the little red machine). So, I came home with a HUGE bag of stuff, spent $2.17 (including tax), still have $7 ECB, and have a back pack FULL of snacks for the airplane for the kids! LOVE IT!!!!

    • Kate

Just found a coupon for $2 off any two glade relaxing moments products, which includes spray, jar candles or plugins scented oils. Wonder if this coupon would work for the scented oil refills. I know there is supposed to be a coupon for the refill in the paper this Sunday, but I don't always get the good coupons in my paper that are listed on southernsavers. I will keep this coupon handy in case the paper doesn't have that coupon.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

        Where did you find it?

        • kate

Not sure which paper I clipped it out of. I was just going through my coupons and found it. Might be possible I clipped it from the Parade magazine b/c those coupons are often overlooked by many people. Which parade magazine might it have been…no clue.

      • Megan

the $2 q must be on relaxing candle which my CVS did not have yet. I tried this morning but there was a 50 cent q on the candles.

    • Jess

Anyone able to find a working zip code for the Coppertone?

      • Jess

NM, the second link worked for me. LOL guess I should look before I ask.

    • Abby

If you have a Blade Razor raincheck and use it this week then you will get a $1.00 extrabuck during the transaction and then $6.00 in extrabucks when they process it as a raincheck. You will get overage! Yeah!

      • Brooke

Also, I don't know if it's right to open it in the store or not, but there's a $1 q in there. I saw it after I got mine the other week.

      • toni

Used my raincheck today. You should have received $6.99 as forced ECB's for the raincheck. My cashier upped it to $7 and I still received the automatic $1 ECB for this week's offer, so made $1 on the Blade 5 Razor.

        • Abby

Right! Sorry, it was 6.99 and my cashier upped it to $7 bucks too!

    • ScottK

I was just looking through the CVS archieve and saw the previous entry with ..

$1 ECB wyb Power Bar 1 ct., $1 ea (limit 3)
      (free after ECB!)
(this is a month long deal, so if they run out just keep looking)

it was posted May 31st, so does anyone know if that meant ending may or ending in June, cuz I'd love to get these tomorrow!

      • Suemh

This is a June deal. I could not find them in my store.

      • Amy

I just got them tonight. I think it's for June.

        • ScottK

awesome, thanks everyone for the replies!

      • coupondiva02

I just got them tonight at CVS too. It's the ones that are regular price 99cents. And the ECB is for 99cents. If you purchase all 3 in ne transaction it prints one ECB for $2.97. Also, I received a pleasant surprise – $5 off $15 printed along with my ECBs. Will be great to use tomorrow with my 20% off coupon and all the great deals.

    • Michelle

Ok I have a question about a scenario. Could I do this:

      2 Gillette Deodorants 3.99 each
      2 Gillette Body Washes

      Use:
      $4/2 Gillette Deodorants
      (2) B1Gillette Deodorants G1Gillette Body Wash Free

      Pay:
3.98 OOP Get back 2 ECB

If this works I feel like it's a better deal than what Jenny has.

      • Brooke

Yes, you are allowed to do this. The $4/2 applies to the 2 free ones. You may want to hand over your $4/2 first as well.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

        this is correct

      • sg

I handed over the $4/2 first then the BIGI and had no problem. However, my mom went to a different CVS and they would not allow her to do the same transaction that I did. SG

        • Anonymous

It would be in everyone’s best interest that the employee be educated on what he refused the transaction for. Either insist on your using the Qs as they are (valid and legit) or call cvs cust svce. This is not in the next interest of CVS either

    • Sara

I am a bit frustrated with my CVS and I was wondering if anyone else was having the same issue. I was under the impression that you could pay for your entire purchase (including tax) with your CVS bucks. The past 2 weeks when I go the cashier tells me my subtotal has to be as much as my CVS bucks before I can use them. So for example tonight my total after taxes was 5.16 and I had 5 ecbs. He told me my subtotal was only 2 something because before coupons my total was almost 35 dollars. He said he couldn't use my 5 ecbs until my subtotal was at least 5 dollars.

      Is this correct?

      • Michelle

yes, your subtotal has to be at least the amount of you ecb. some stores allow it to be off a few cents meaning you can use 5 ecb on a purchase with a subtotal of 4.98 but not all stores allow it. Remember to always plan on paying for tax (which is the tax on your entire purchase before coupons).

        • Sara

Okay! Thanks! I was wondering what I was doing wrong. So when she is saying on the website that the total due is nothing that excludes tax? correct?

          • Michelle

correct. She does that because everyone's sales tax is different.

      • Britt

Yes that is correct. You still have to pay taxes on the items you have coupons for. Your subtotal has to be atleast $5 to use the 5 ecbs. The same situation happened to me at Walgreens today. My total was $4.16 and I had $5 RR, so i bought a candy bar to get my total to five dollars. So I pretty much left the store just paying taxes on the items.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

ECB goes for sub-total. Sometimes, when you apply certain ECB bucks for payment, it also reduces the tax amount. For example, if your subtotal was $5 and tax $2, you hand in $5 ecbs you had, then the due amount may not be $2 but less than that. For certain type ecbs, the register counts that as store discount and thus no sales tax (on store discounts).

Moreover, the sub-total doies not have to be “at least” $5 in the above example. Meaning, you could still have used your $5 ecb towards subtotal of $2.xx, but in that case, you would be losing $2.50 because the cashier must adjust down the ecb amount to sub-total. Note that ecbs state value 'up to”

      • Michelle

you have to pay the tax but if the subtotal isn't as much as your extra care bucks they can change the amount on them. you may loose a few cents but the cashiers at my CVS do it all the time and then all i have to pay is the tax due.

    • Melissa

I am having trouble printing the glade coupon for the free warmer with a purchase of refill. I go to the link and select the items I want and when I print, it states there are no prints for the campaign. Had anyone else had this issue

      • Amy J.

I tried to print it earlier and got the same message. Unfortunately, they only have so many coupons available, so once they're gone, they're gone. :-(

        • Melissa

          thanks for the info.

      • sg

I have had the same thing happen to me. SG

    • I am excited that my Walgreens and CVS honor both wks deals after 7pm on Saturday! I did great on my trip to Walgreen and to CVS, but I will upset about my 1st CVS transaction. Here is what I did

      Transaction #1
      Buy:
      (2) Old Spice Deodorants $3.99 – $7.98
      (1) Old Spice Body Wash $3.00
      (2) John Frieda Hair Care $5 ea – $10.00
      Totaling= $20.98 + Tax
      Use:
      –$4 off $20 CVS Coupon
-B1G1 Old Spice Deodorant PG 6/06
-Free Body Wash wyb Old Spice Deodorant PG 6/06
      -(2) $3 off John Frieda RP 6/06
      Total Due: $3.99
      Get 2ECB + 3ECB

I handed him the $4 off $20 first, but he refused to use it until last. He told me I would not be able to use it because I actually have to SPEND $20 to use it and it is not valid with any other coupons. I read the fine print, but it did not say anything like that. He insisted that a $20 purchase is self explanatory. Is he right? I had to use 2 of my $2 ECB because of it. He was the shift manager, but I plan on talking to the store manager.

      • opps. I forgot that I actually got 4 deodorants w/ 2 $3/2Q instead of the John Frieda since Walgreens has a better deal on it. It works out the same though.

      • Amy J.

If your subtotal was $20.98, there's no reason why he should have refused your $4/$20 coupon until last…..that's weird! Yeah, I'd definitely talk to the store manager.
Sounds like he refused to take it until last but then when he took it last, he couldn't deduct it b/c your total was under $20 b/c he already scanned your mfg coupons….am i right?
Hopefully the mgr will straighten it all out.

        • I handed it to him first and was holding the other ones in my hand. He reached for the other ones and then told me I was not allowed. I asked him where on that $4 off $20 that I could not use it. I have seen it done before, at which he told me that doing so is against store policy and that it was not allowed. He had a hard enough time with the transactions as it was that I let it go and will follow up tomorrow hopefully. I feel better knowing I was right- since this is new to me and can be intimidating. Any way between CVS and Walgreens my OP was $13.74 and I saved $72.77 (84% savings). I think I am addicted!

          • Amy J.

He must have been misinformed or he misunderstood the coupon policy is all I can figure. Best to you with that.
            Awesome savings! You go, girl!
BTW, your name is the same as my nephew's soon-to-be wife :-)

            • That is what I was thinking too. I think this is a new hobby for me. I really do enjoy it and now my family will not stink or starve! :)

It is also the name of a former Sugarland artist

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

This is idiotic. Technically and logically speaking, you are making $20 or more purchase and therefore, store Q. $4 off should kick in. It has always been that way and its not new. Some employees have hard time to grasp the concept of saving and smart shopping. I have found this to be a greater problem with recent immigrants who are not exposed to couponing and/or smart shopping/system-They just cant believe that people can save so much money and so easily.

        • Recent immigrants?!
You along with the shift manager from Kristen's story are really ignorant.

          • Mysterious_Mentalist

I did not mean it the way it may have sounded. I was just describing my repeated experience

          • Brooke

No need to jump on her. Using the word immigrant as part of the English language is in no way throwing an insult. Look inside yourself to see why you feel the need to start undue conflict, and maybe you'll find out what ignorance really looks like.

      • My boss will actually key in the money off purchase at the end if we accidentally ring it up last (when it makes the register beep.) We're supposed to as well.

The point is that a happy customer just spent very little out of pocket. I would talk to the store manager. If you feel like being confrontational, call 1-800-shop-cvs on the spot – they'll get it sorted out for you if the shift/store manager are unaware of the coupon policy.

        • Thank you! I can be confrontational, but he was an older man and I did not want to give him a heart attack. I was nice to him and I will simply talk to the store manager about it. I really hated using some ECBs when the coupon would have done the same.

      • I talked to a different manager and he assured me that the shift manager from last night was wrong. He told me to come up there and he would reimburse me. I figured he would give me a CVS card with $4 on it, but I handed him the $4 off $20 and he gave me $4 cash! I had a similar situation with Walgreens a few days ago and they REFUSED to make it right. I am so happy that CVS has better customer service and fixed the problem.

    • camp

did anyone get a freestyle glucose meter coupon in their paper? the cvs ad claims there is one in most papers, but i couldnt find it in the st petetimes, news chief, or ledger.

      • Lisa

None in the Tampa paper. And Hotcouponworld doesn't show one either.

        • camp

          thanks for checking. :)

          • Jennyfur

I haven't gone to grab my paper yet (lazy this morning) – be sure to check the parade

            • camp

              thanks for the tip. :)
checked the parade and no freestyle coupon there. oh well, hopefully winndixie or publix has a new meter for me later this week. i found out that my onetouch mini is very inaccurate so i'm hoping to replace it asap.

    • Sandy

I am not sure if this is the place to put this question, but here goes. This is the first time I have tried to select items for a shopping list. I have created it, but cannot determine where to go to print. I am not very good on computers, but I hope over time it will get easier for me. Can you please tell me how to print the list?

      • Lisa

Once you hit the “Create a List” button, there will be a grey button toward the top of the new page that opens “Print My Shopping List”. Or look at the toolbar at the very top of the new page, and click “File”, then “Print”

      • toni

At the bottom of the list, click on “Create List”. Once that pops up, click on “File” and then “print preview”. Clicking on print preview allows you to change from the “shrink to fit” size (which is very small) to a larger size. I like 100%, but sometimes make it smaller to print on one page. Good luck!

    • Kenneth

Rolaids are $3.99 and you get $4 ECB when you buy two for a total of $8. You can use the coupon in today's 6/6 RP for $4 off 2 Rolaids, to make for free Rolaids after coupon and ECB! I saw this in the writeup, but didn't see Jenny's normal “makes it FREE” comment.

      • Kendall

Aww man, that would've been so helpful in my scenarios had I checked this comment earlier today arrggh

    • Bianca

Can you use 3 coupons with the old spice deal since you are getting 3 items? I have the 2 coupons you list but then I also have a $1 off coupon when you buy 2 deodorants or body wash. Just wondering if I can use it.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

If you mean, buy 2 deos, and 2 bw, use (1) $1/2 deo Q, and (1) b1 deo g1 free bw Qs, then yes you can use all those three Qs.

    • Jennifer

      new to cvsing….
when the add says “spens 20 get 10 extra bucks”.. does that mean you have to spend 20.00 out of pocket or can I get 20.00 product use coupons, ecb and still get the 10.00 ecb back?
      thanks!

      • Emmycat

ECBs print out of the register AFTER your transaction, and can be used on a subsequent visit to the store. So you would use your coupons, pay out of pocket (and you can use any older ECBs you already have to pay for this), and then get your new ECBs when you're done.

You should be able to use your coupons. I believe the transaction total is counted before coupons, but some stores might be different.

I think you can use your new ECBs that same day, just in a different transaction. Also, don't forget that ECBs have expiration dates and you wont get change back.

      • toni

Spend $20 is always the before coupon price.

    • Rebecca

When doing the P & G deal (free Charmin wyb $25 of P & G products), do you have to spend the $25 in one transaction or could it be split up??

      • Deanna

You can split it up…your purchases are tracked via your CVS card. After you do one transaction that has P&G items in it, look at the bottom of your receipt. It should tell you how much more you need to spend to hit the $25 mark.

You can split any deal to reduce your OOP. If the deal for the ECBs require you to buy two of an item, you can buy them in two separate transactions and your ECBs will print after the purchase of the second item.

        • Michelle

thank you so much for that info. i did not know you could split up the transactions on the $25 dollar deal. i thought you had to spend it all at once. i would have missed out on a great deal thanks again.

        • Rebecca

          Deanna,
That is what I thought, but it doesn't seem to be working that way for me…. I shopped last night (my CVS starts the ad on Saturday evening)… I bought 2 Dawn and 2 Always and some other items. I had 2 $1 off coupons for the Dawn and 2 coupons for Free Always, so all the P & G items were free. I assumed my receipt would show the “Amount Needed to earn this reward” for the amount of the Always and Dawn but it does not appear on the receipt. I'm wondering if for some reason it is not giving me credit for them because they were free?? I've been CVSing for awhile and never had that happen, but just not sure what's going on??

          • RobinB78

            Rebecca,
I would double check with the store to make sure they're still starting the sales on Saturday evenings. Mine used to do the same, then all of the sudden they stopped doing it and went to starting at 5am Sunday morning. I almost found out the hard way, but lucky me the nice cashier tipped me off before ringing me up that night! Same thing could have gone down at your store. :-( Hope it works out though!

            • Brooke

I bought some P&G items today and no where on the receipt does it show anything :( So it's not the fact she shopped on Saturday. Anybody else know what the deal is?

            • Yeah – my store starts the ad early, but doesn't put out the signs or turn on the ECB printing until later on in the evening.

              My reply was “bummer.”

    • amee

      Tampax/Always scenario: On sale $2.97.
      Get 2 Tampax Pearl, 1 Always Liners, 1 Always Pads = $11.88
Use todays coups to get $2 off one Pearl, $1 one Tampax, $1 off liners, $1 pads.
Out of pocket: $6.88. Makes them $1.72 each!

    • Emmycat

Heads up everyone! The USA Weekend insert in today's paper has 3 Scott coupons on the inside back cover. $1/1 Paper Towels, $1/1 Bath tissue and 50cents/flushable wipes. Expire July 31.

Was this listed elsewhere on Southern Savers? If so, my apologies for a duplicate notice.

    • Suzanne

So, can I go in CVS and buy John Frienda products and Dove products in one transaction and get the ECBs for each?…or do they have to be separate transactions?

      • Separate or same – unless the CVS ad specifically says that you have to buy all in 1 transaction, you can do it however you want.

      • Deanna

You'll get the ECBs for both deals. No limit on the number of DIFFERENT deals you can do, but there will be a limit on the number of times you can do the SAME deal.

        • Suzanne

Thanks! I ended up just doing the Dove deal (started out with $15 in ECBs from doing a minute clinic quiz). So, I got 4 Dove Deodorants, 1 Dove Shampoo, 1 Dove Conditioner, 1 Box of Tampax Pearl, 1 Dawn Dish Detergent, a 20 oz diet Mt Dew and a pack of gum….all for 25 cents OOP! So fun!

    • coupondiva02

I rocked at CVS today and I just have to toot my own horn as it's my best yet trip. Here's what I got:
      1 Blade 5 Razor (Rain check for 6.99 w/ 6.99 ECB)
      4 Men's Degree Deo
      2 Women's Dove Deo
      4 Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner
3 Windex Multi-Purpose (yes, this is included in the sale)
      1 Regular Windex
      1 Ban Deoderant (Rain Check $2.99 w/ $2 ECB)
      2 Bounty 8 Rolls
      4 Tampax Pearl18/20 count
      1 Charmin Ultra 9 roll
5 Dawn w/ Hand Renewal Olay
      1 Gillette ProFusion Razor
1 Off Clip On Refill (Raincheck for $2.99)
I broke it up into 2 transactions, used coupons, 2 – $5 off $15 coupons, 20% off coupon (got in the mail – good for only 1 purchase on 6/5 or 6/6)
      My OOP: $10.09
      Savings: $133.61
And I got back $23 ECBs to use later!
      I love CVS!

      • Brooke

You did fantastic! How many ECB's did you start with?

        • Anonymous

I started with 17.00ECBs and ended with 23 ECBs. I think I ended up with a bonus one (I just noticed) because the Blade Five Razors are giving 1 ECB this week and because of my raincheck she forced it for the 6.99 ECB. Now I feel bad so I’ll have to ask her about it when I go this week to see if I need to toss it.

Comment about -$1 off Covergirl any PG 6/06

My newspaper PG insert only showed an full page ad for covergirl without a coupon. The CVS ad indicates that there is supposed to be a coupon, but there wasn't one printed in my insert. Check your PG insert..maybe yours is different.

    • S. Raquel

yippie! Finally I was able to get a paper at publix this week. I live in jackson co. ga and publix is the only place that even delivers the ajc in my county. I bought two (mainly for the glade and john freida coupons) when I get to the car there was only one coupon insert (i think it was redplum, i was heated so sorry for the temp. memory loss). I took the papers back and got a refund, not easily. I just purchased two of the gainesville times, puuuhhh.no glade!!!!!! anyway, cvs trip was awesome. my successful plan.

      Buy:
      (2) Gillette Deodorants $3.99

      • S. Raquel

i meant to say that publix is the only location in my county that has the privilege of having the ajc delivered.

        • garrettslife

I shop that publix too! we went there I serched most of the papers to find only 3 that had the pg and rp no ss got 2 papers but was upset that the paper was so disorganized. However Publix doesn't get them delivered they are just so awesome to go and get them and bring them to the store for our convienence. I love Publix and this store is pretty awesome about everything! I wasn't excited however to find that they had changed a bunch of aisles around I will now have to reacclimate to the way the store is setup……..But still love the store.

          • Raquel

yeah its been weeks since i was able to get an actual ajc (they are always sold out), it was disappointing to have to return them, for the times. yeah what is with all the aisle changing? ha.

      • Kendall

I'm having a hard time understanding how it's legit to use those 4 coupons on the 4 Gillette items? Could you explain?

        • S. Raquel

I am not exactly sure, i just tried it, and it worked. i remembered from last week when the Gillette body wash was $4 with $4 ECB. i read a comment (from last weeks southern saver CVS post) with someone saying you could buy two using the $4/2 and B1G1 together as long as the cashier scanned the $4/2 first, no beeps. it worked last week with two, so i put the same concept to play this week with the 4 and it worked! i hope this helps :)

    • First of the week! ( I like to break up my transactions since I work there, I'm there every day, and I like to scan my green bag tag!)

      6 Dove deodorants (@$2.50 each)
      1 Sunday paper (@$2)
      (3) $3/2 coupons
      (1) $5/15 coupon

      $3.99 OOP

Got: $1 ECB (Green Bag Tag)
      $5 ECB (Dove)

    • sarah

How can i get rainchecks that will also include the ecb deals with them. For instance they were out of the razor today. Can i get a raincheck for that with the ecbs???

      • Elizabeth

Tell them they were out and they give you a raincheck that lists the ECBs due on them.

    • merr

I'm just getting started with CVSing..how do I get the couipons that say PG?

      • Elizabeth

Proctor & Gamble coupons from your Sunday paper.

    • Trae

Does CVS do competitor coupons? Like Target?

      • sarah

My store in Alabama does, but i don't know the other ones.

    • Amy J.

I'm hoping I'm reading my CVS receipt correctly regarding the Gillette Fusion ProGlide Razor……..I thought it was only a limit of one, but according to my receipt, it says “quantity toward this reward: 1” and “quantity needed to earn reward : 1″…….hmmm……might be going back tomorrow to get another one!
Anyone else's receipt indicate the same?

      • Amy

Mine too! I didn't even realize this. Thank you!

        • Nancy

Mine too! Also the Secret deal said the same thing, and the kiosk at CVS just gave me a q for $1 off Secret :) I love CVS

          • niki

me too! but i am a bit confused can anyone pls help ? plss….. does dat mean i can do the gillette proglide deal again? till it says limit reached….and wil i still get $5 ecbs again? has anyone tried it?

            • Mysterious_Mentalist

Gillette ECB deal is over if you have already purchased 2 this month. It was supposed to be 1 per last week and 1 this week. However, the receipt showed room for another second deal last week. If you did second already, then ecb wont print this week. This seems like a month long deal with limit of 2 for this month.

        • Amy J.

You're very welcome! Since I didn't realize it until after I got home, I thought about how many others may not check their receipt right away (b/c we're always in a hurry LOL!), so I definitely wanted to share :-)

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

yep! the limit turned out to be 2 for last week. Not sure about this week

      • Some of these end up being a month long thing – meaning that the only restriction is going to be that you can only do one per transaction.

Just watch your reciept, and stop when it says “offer limit reached.”

    • Padonie

I have confused myself. If I buy a B1G1 product at CVS, can I use 2 q's for the 2 products or do I just use 1 because I'm technically only paying for one? In other words, can I use a q for the “free” product of the B1G1 deal? I think I'm remembering I can, because the system still sees me leaving with 2 items even though I only pay for 1, but I've somehow gotten myself all confused and now I just don't know! Thanks for your help!

BTW – in my 6/06 paper the $3 John Frieda coupon wasn't in the RP, as stated in the scenario. I found mine in SS instead.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

yes! you can use 2. CVS accepts a manuf Q on the b1g1 free item as well. The logic being that you are still making a “purchase” as scanned, and that store sales/discount prices are irrespective of manuf. Q use.

        • Padonie

          Thanks a bunch!

    • Amy J.

      Forgot to mention this earlier………
at both of my local CVS stores, they have the Gillette Fusion Gamer power razor marked down to $5.99 (originally $11.99)………use the $4 q from today's PG insert and you get it for $1.99……maybe put that in one of your transactions, use some ecb's and you've got a great bargain :-)

    • Amy

I was super excited to find $2/2 peelies on the Scrubbing Bubbles last night! The Shout also had .55 peelies, but I already had mine from the paper.

    • Tina

For transaction #1, CVS wouldn't let me use both B1G1 Old Spice Deodorant PG 6/06 and Free Body Wash wyb Old Spice Deodorant PG 6/06 since I was technically only buying one deodorant. So that transaction didn't work for me.

      • Raquel

Hi Tina, I know your frustration. When you are using b1g1 coupons in combination with other coupons for same items you cannot use another b1g1 type coupon (unless it would be like a store coupon i.e. cvs). You can however match b1g1 coupons with $/2 or $/1. However, when you pair other coupons with b1g1 coupons always hand the cashier the $/# first then the b1g1, no beeps on the cash register. i hope this helps :)

        • They let me use both B1G1 coupons. The register did not even beep.

          • Raquel

well then you are lucky. I still run into problems like that all the time.

    • Nancy

The John Freida hair products coupon is not in Red Plum this week (6/6) as listed in your Scenario. It's in Smart Source.

    • Michelle J

I got a $5 off WYB $15 just a minute ago!! It expires 6/9. I'll be going back for more!

      • Hesperides

        I got it today, too!

        • niki

i dont understand how come i never get $ off $ coupons anytime :(

      • Elaine

I received one too!! I don't if I've ever gotten a $5 off $15 before! Planning to use it on the dove / degree deal!

    • winrog

Thank you Jenny for everything you do!! Since April I have spent $833 oop for $2160 in groceries and household supplies and other necessities (laundry detergent, t.paper, razors, vitamins, etc) and receiving $128 in rebates and gift cards. So technically speaking, I have spent $705 in approx. two months. I have cut my grocery bill in HALF!!! I use to never believe in coupons because I felt it was time consuming or a waste of time period. You have taught me a new way to shop. I only buy what is on sale for that week and 9 times out of 10 I make sure I have a coupon for that sale item. I also stock up, as you suggest atleast 6 weeks because typically that item that goes on a really good sale will not go on sale again for about 6 weeks. I use to shop at Ingles or Walmart because of convenience and savings, but I only shop at CVS, Rite Aid, or Publix now (sometimes Kroger). I am a family of 6 and it can get very expensive to feed everyone. We use to always say there was nothing to eat or snack on the house, or always running to the convenient store for emergency items, NOW we have more than I could ever imagine….We have no room now in my kitchen to store everything. It is a great feeling! I do not work and I feel this is a great way to put money back in my families budget!!! Thank you again Jenny and God Bless!!!

      • Teda

I second this!!!! Sounds just like my story.. family of 5 and I stay home as well.. I am sooooo thankful for this site!!

      • Megan

How do you fill up your kitchen like that? I definitely have been saving but am using up what I buy. I was hoping to have a full pantry and see a huge savings on my receipts but right now it seems hardly worth it to put in all this time searching for “deals” and just have food for a week or two. Most of the items in these sales we just don't need…it takes forever to go through a bottle of ketchup or salad dressing, etc. The things we really use, other than cereal!, don't go on sale. I don't want to feed my family a bunch of processed/junk food either. Any tips? I do love CVS and have seen huge savings in personal care/diapers there =)

    • Brooke

Holy cow! Between 2 cards I started with 35 ECB's, paid $3.12 OOP incl. tax and got:

      8 Chef Boyardee
      4 Coke 12 pk
      3 Powerbars
      3 Windex Multisurface
      2 John Frieda hair care
      1 Gillette razor
      1 Dawn Hand Renewal
      1 Glade Scented Oil Candle
      1 Stride Shift gum
      1 Twix bar

      With $30 ECB's left!!! And I did use 2 $5/15 and a $5/30 :) Yay!

      • Brooke

Oh, and a Crest Vivid White Toothpaste :)

      • ali

hopw do you work in two cards?

        • Brooke

A transaction in my name and 2 transactions in boyfriends today.

    • Hey ya’ll I have a 15 dollar off coupon this week, and no ecbs. Can someone help me get the most of it? I have coupons but singles, not a bunch of the same ones. Thanks :)

    • SLH

what does it mean by PG beside the savings sometimes?

      • Shirley

You mean the PG when it says…?
'$5 ECB wyb Gillette ProGlide power or manual razor $9.97 Limit 1
-$4 off Gillette ProGlide power or manual razor PG 6/6 (makes it 97¢)'

The PG 6/6 means the Procter and Gamble coupon insert that came with the 6/6 Sunday paper.

        Cheers

      • MAC

Proctor & Gamble (P&G) coupon insert that comes in the news paper. hth :)

    • ScottK

I feel like I STOLE I did so good today!

I hardly used any ECB's because I used most of them on my vacation to impress my friends with free beach supplies. I spent out $15 and got back $41.97 in ECBs!!!!!

My total was $105 before coupons, the cashier was so impressed when I only owed $15! Then of course he laughed when it printed out $42 in ECBs!

      • Tina

How did you do that? I just started the whole coupon thing. My husband was on board with me until I can home with 2 small bags and spent $69. :( far from saving…. I am studying this website everyday. But when I put my plan together it never seems to work out.

        • Crystal

If you could tell us what your plan was and what you ended up getting, maybe we could help you figure out what you did….if you'd like…

        • Ashley

Go return your stuff!! Just take your time learning and before long you will get an abundance and overflow of FREE goodies in no time! lt helps to read the comments. You will learn everything you need to know here. I did :) And does take a couple months to put all the pieces together in your mind, but you'll get it. It is pointless for me to even go shopping anymore, because I have everything I could ever need in my house to last years!!

      • 2godbglory

Please give us a breakdown on what you did. Thanks

        • ScottK

The big thing is that I got lucky they accepted competitor coupons, so I ran away with the coppertone $10 ECB, used the $5 out of a package of fusion power razors i got at another store, had a $5 off $15, and had an assortment of Kellogg's, glade, dove, and other coupons….Honestly, I was kinda surprised myself how well it came out.

    • Belida

There were no Covergirl coupons in any of my papers this week onnly an ad so I think someone stole them. That is so rude!!!

      • dmllr813

        I didn't get them either

      • I picked up 2 different kinds of papers today, the SC Herald and the Charlotte Observer. The Herald had the ad without coupons, the Observer had the ad with coupons.

So they didn't get stolen, just not carried in your paper. :(

There are $1 off covergirl coupons in the P&G $100 savings book though.

    • Nikki

I had a pretty good day today, except for CVS being out of all the Old Spice and Windex. But I was pleasantly surprised when I did my second to last transaction right before the Degree/Dove deal when I got my ECB's and a $3 off $15 printed on my receipt! The 6 deodorants came up to $15, and then I had the 3 coupons for a total of $9 and I had some ECB's, so it was all free :)

      • AmyFMSC

A $3/$15 ECB printed on my receipt too when I did an exchange before checking out with my other goodies! I was so excited! I have never gotten one of those before! :)

    • Hesperides

I was unable to do the B1G1 Old Spice deo. and the free body wash. She says it's because it's using two coupons on a single item. I let it go because I didn't have a valid argument.

Also – at our store, the CVS razor – Blade 5 System – is $6.99, giving back $1 ecb.

      • Use this arguement:

Lay out the three items on the counter. Deoderant, Deoderant, BW. “I bought this deoderant (point) and i get this BW free (at this point, lay your coupon down on the body wash.) I bought this deodorant (point at the other deodorant) so I get this deodorant free (put the other coupon down on the other body wash.)

The register accepts the coupons, regardless of what order the coupons are scanned in.

Feel free to ask for the manager – sometimes the manager is the only person in the store that understands that they're making they're $3.99 for the product whether they get it from you or from P&G.

        ~CVS employee

        • Lori

Your post is confusing, I thought you only had 3 items, then it sounds like you have 4, please re-explain this one:) thanks

    • 2godbglory

Please give us a breakdown on what you did. Thanks

    • Denise

Went to do the Dove deal sold out BUT the coupons worked for the travel size and it was free!!!!!!!!!!!!!……………..Yes!

    • Shirley

Can someone help with this? My confusion is about the SC Johnson rebate, where you get $5 back for every 3 products you buy.

The deal with CVS is that you get $5ecb wyb $10 and there is a limit of 2, that means you can buy a total of 8 items at $2.50ea, right? Since each household can send in for a limit of 3 rebates, you can get an extra item for $2.50 (total 9 items), and potentially get 3 x $5 MIRs back, right? Each rebate will need a real receipt (not photocopied) to accompany the rebate form, that means you cannot have more than 3 products per receipt, right?

      So, questions:
      1. If I get 3 items on 1 receipt, it will be $7.50. If I get 3 more on another receipt, will my CVS card record the first item only, pay me $5ecb for the $10 spent, and don't record the other 2 (towards the next $10) since I have seen that happen on one of the deals just recently?
      2. Will the rebate require that all 3 items be purchased on the same receipt or can I send in multiple receipts? (I couldn't find any such requirement but I just want to be sure.)

Any help is much appreciated and many thanks, cheers

      • Erin

It keeps an ongoing record. At the bottom of the receipt it will show how much is needed to reach your reward, and also when offer limit's reached. You will need 8 items to do the CVS deal twice, and you can purchase the items in however many transactions you want.

You can send in multiple receipts with J&J, but remember each $5 rebate has to be sent in separate envelopes. 3 items per envelope per $5.

        • Shirley

Thanks all who replied. I asked about the CVS tracking because of that Nivea $5ecb wyb $15 from the week 5/2 – 5/8 (limit 5). If anyone remembered, that was with the $4off body wash Q. When we bought 4 body washes ($4.88×4=$19.52), we found that it would only record the first $15 of the purchase even though we had spent more.

Anyway, since Erin has said that they will accept multiple receipts, I will stay on the safe side and break the transactions just in case. (Side note to the Mentalist: Since the rebate form states: 'Send the original dated, store-identified cash register receipts, with the purchase prices of the products circled,' I will be sending in the originals rather than the photocopies.)

I won't list my scenario (they are a hassle to type up XP), but for those who are curious :)

          Get:
          (3) Glade Plugins Oil Refills – ($2.50 x 3 = $7.50)
          (4) Glade Essential oils candle 4oz – ($2.50 x 4 = $10.00)
          (2) Windex Cleaner – ($2.50 x 2 = $5.00)
          TOTAL: $22.50
          Use:
2x -$1 off Glade Plugins Scented Oil Tin Refill or (2) Single Refills SS 6/06
          2x -$1.50/2 Glade Candles IP
2x –$1 off Windex Multi-Surface Cleaner or Windex Wipes Canister IP
TOTAL: -$7.00 (these are all the coupons I can get)

You will pay ($22.50-$7.00) $15.50, get $10ecb, send in for 3 x $5 MIR to get $15 back and you potentially make a profit of $9.50. Pay with ecbs, and use the $5/$15 Q that is currently printing, and you have a very good deal on your hands.

I am doing this in separate transactions so I can mail the original receipts in with the rebate form (3 separate mailings), plus this is to ensure that all the amount spent gets recorded (reason given earlier).

A little horn tootin': I have 5 x $3/$15 Q to use, my scenario involves 5 separate transactions that will amount to a total OOP of $3 and I will get $85.43 worth of stuff. Now to put it to practice, lol. Cheers all and save lots

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

No worries! They will modst likely accept photocopies as well. make photocopies and send them with each rebate form-Keep original and a copy of what you send for your record. For $5, it is not a biggy for them. Worst case scenario, they will email you with disapproval and reason. You may then contact them and try to remedy the problem then.

    • I found a $2/1 Dove deodorant or body mist. It is from bricks coupons. I was a little leery at first because it was brickscoupons.coupons.com I printed it and then verified it. It is a legit coupon. If you have access to 3 computers that is a $12 savings on the dove deal w/$3 OP w/o any ECBs. I have already done my dove deal, but I was wondering if I could return it and do the deal with these coupons. I don’t care about the other coupons I used for it, but I do care about the $6 in ECBs I used. Could I get them back?

      • Kendall

Yes. Just return your items. ECB's are usually given back on a gift card, so you may get part gift card, part cash. They will also give the value of your q's back. They cannot keep that value from you since they will be getting it paid by the manufacturer. Doing this is the only way you can make good on being able to use the q's you want to use. Some may frown on this because you are essentially making a profit on the returned value of original q's. But it would just irk me to death having q's that I should've used. And personally, I would return it at one store and drive to the next one to rebuy. Or rebuy the next day, just so there's no eyeballs about why I'm repurchasing my return items. Also, don't make a habit of this otherwise stores would begin to frown on your business.

        • Thank you. I know Walgreens would not even return my qs or my RR if I made a return.

      • My advice would be to return them at one CVS, then re-do the deal at another one. That way, at least, they don't look at you like a fraud trying to use 2 manu Q's on each deal.

A better idea is to register another EC card, and just do the deal again. If you have another person in your household, register it under their name. Make it easy, give 2 different phone numbers and just keep the numbers straight.

At least then you're not being refunded for the items AND the coupons you used, and then trying to use more coupons to do the same deal again.

        • I think that is what I will do, although that would give me 12 deodorants and I don't stink that bad. How do you find a good place to donate to?

      • melissa

where did you find th 2/1 q? I dont see it. what zip code did you use?

        • I emailed it to Jenny and she posted a link to it above. :)

    • Benjamin

At CVS, for the things like the $5 wyb $10 worth of Glade, do you have to purchase all $10 in one transaction, or can it be split up?

      • Shirley

You can split up it up into separate transactions, your CVS card will keep a record of how much you have already spent and how much more you need to spend. You will see this printed at the bottom of your receipt. Cheers

    • LeAnnaShaw

can anyone tell me if the dawn ultra plus is included in the p&g scenerio?

      • niki

        it worked for me…:)

    • Jennifer

I do not see the John Frieda coupon in the SS 6/06 or the RP 6/06 anywhere. Does everyone get the same SS and RP? I looked three times in each. If the q is in there can anyone guide me to where it is? Thank you!

      • Amy J.

There are quite a few coupons that are only regional, so unfortunately not everyone receives the great coupons.
I'm sure it's a regional coupon. I live in southeast Georgia and I did NOT get the JF q either.

      • Candace

I am in Southern Indiana and I didn't get the JF coupon either. :(

    • Ruth

Random question: My stack of coupon inserts is overflowing its basket. Anyone have a rule of thumb as to when it's safe to throw away an insert? I don't want to have to page through every one making sure I don't throw away something that's still good.

      • Renee

you can look up coupon expirations in your insert on coupontom.com.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Check the inserst that are the earliest. Flip thru to see if any Qs there are still valid, if none, then throw away those inserts. Do the same for the next in line and see what Qs are still valid and if there are just few valid ones in those inserts, look to see if they would be any good soon. That is how you might be able to trim a lot.

        • Amy B.

My rule of thumb is 3 months. However, sometimes there will be 1 or 2 unexpired coupons so like the others, I thumb through…

          • sealey5

If you don't use the q's, send them to someone that's in the military, or to someone that knows someone in the military. I heard they can use the q's up to 6 months after they expire at the commisary!

            • AKellyinVA

This might be great. But the one I sent mine to sent a note back saying something like “thanks, but we're overwhelmed and don't have anyone in charge of this, so please don't send us anymore”! lol It's a great idea, though.

            • Anonymous

Good to know, I didn’t know that they were overwhelmed, lol. Wish we could use them for up to 6 months :P

      • Lori

Hello, check with your stores before throwing away coupons. My Bi-lo takes expired coupons!!!

      • AKellyinVA

I don't have an easy remedy, but I've started paging through my earliest inserts – just one or two at a sitting – to try to trim my stack. Got some pistachios at Rite Aid a few weeks ago for a great deal with a coupon from last year that I would've thrown away had I not flipped through the insert first. I think most every other coupon in that insert had expired, so I kept the page with the pistachio coupon not knowing I'd ever use it. hth Also P&G inserts seem to mostly run out the month they're issued, so they're fairly easy to throw out.

I am out of ink and can't print the dove/degree IP's. anyone have a decent scenario using the .50/1 Degree q? I have four of these, a $5/$15 CVS q, and will most likely have $5-$10 ECB's, depending on what order I do the Gillette ProGlide and Glade scenarios. (side note, I am planning on using my free holder wyb refill Glade q's, will the holder count towards my total on this deal, or should I plan on those being superfluous?)

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

I do not think those holders are part of the deal for ecbs but good to buy them with free Qs

        • mmikebel

I got the holder $1.50 each they did not count towards the $10. BTW had a great week at cvs.

    • Is anyone else having a trouble printing the free glade plugin holder w/purchase of oil refills? I put in all my info and click print coupons and it says there are no prints. I wanted 2 of them to pair with both of my $1q on the oil refills for a total OP of $3 or $1 after 2 ECBs… making $2-4 after mail in rebate.

      • Amy J.

I couldn't print it on Saturday…..got the same message…….they usually only have so many prints available of a coupon, so I'm sure those Q's went super quick! HTH

    • Beth

Great trip to CVS today. I got 9 Fusion Gamer Razors on clearance for 4.99, used $4 off q from todays paper. Then 2 of the Fusion Proglides and also used $4 q's. Used my CVS Card, and my husbands CVS card, 3 separate transactions, ECB's, and CVS q's for $5 off 15 and $4 off 20, I spent less than $2 (mostly tax). Ended up with $5 ECB for both my husband and I. Talk about confusing but it is so addicting…Had my 3 yr old with me which made this an exceptionally challenging trip but all in all it turned out well.

      • sealey5

I know what you're saying, I have a 2month old, 5 year old and a 9 year old, they normally go with me on my “couponing trips”, lol. You did great with the transactions btw! :)

    • Molly Oliver

i am having the same trouble on that one and the $1 off Windex printable
Have they expired? I am new to this after a workshop in Knoxville and I have $10 in ECBs that are burning a hole in my pocket!!! Help – I NEED to go to CVS! :)

    • Emily

Anyone else have trouble with the Coppertone deal? I was so excited to get this deal and realized after getting home yesterday it did not print my $10 ECB! I am going to go by after work today to try and get it straightened out.

      • sealey5

call CVS headquarters, (their # is on your CVS card), they'll ask for your card #, they should be able to pull up your card history and then see whether or not you received your ECB's or they might be able to put them on your card, not sure though.

        • They can print them at the store. Its best if you notice it before you get out of the parking lot though, otherwise they may not believe that you didn't receive them.

    • Becky

Jenny I was at the extreme couponing in Knoxville on Sat. You said that you had a person at the Tennessean in Nashville that you talk with, I was wondering who it was? They have not been putting the coupons in the papers in Smith County. I was wondering how you reccommend taking care of this. There has not been coupons for close to a month and then yesterday there was only 2 redplum. No smartsource, and no pg.

      • guest

I live in Dickson county and I have been having the same problem.

        • becky

It is very frustrating but I went to Wilson County and got the Tennessean so that was great. I had a friend go to a paper that usually has all coupons and it was missing smart source.

    • emtshopper

WOW! Just went to CVS…bought 2 Gillette Deodorants…2 Body Washes..used (2) $2 Gillette Deodorant Coupons…(2) Buy Deodorant Get Body Wash…also used raincheck for body wash that had $4 ECB back…used 2 ECB…paid $2.78 and got $10 ECBs back and $5 off $15

      • sealey5

I've walked out of CVS with a bunch of stuff, only paid $1 oop, and still got back ECB!!! It's so fun to get practically free items! :)

      • nc_sunshine

I also had a raincheck for the $4 Gillette body washes (this was my 1st time using a RC). Body washes were cleared from the 9+ CVS' I visited/called on 5/25-29. I asked if I could still use orig Q's I intended to use, one of which expired 5/31 — they said it was fine. Plus, this wk they sell for $3 (but no ECB) — I didn't want to be greedy & said it was fine if they rang up $4, but the clerk said he wanted me to get the best deal possible! So, I made out like a bandit!

        4 Gillette body washes at $3 = $12
        -$6 = (2) B1G1 coupon (buy bodywash, get bodywash)
        -$4 = (1) $4 off 2 body washes
        -$2 ECB from previous trip
        ————————————–
$0 (only paid $.93 tax), AND got my $8 ECB!

Get rainchecks. They're great, and for stores like mine which still never replenished the body washes when the truck came, I don't feel like I'm being greedy or unfair about them not having items in stock (much less, in over 9 stores!).

    • dorothy

I am somewhat new to CVS shopping but I think I did pretty well yesterday at my trip. What do you think?

      Trans #1
      2 Old Spice Deoderant
      2 Old Spice Body Washes
      1 Pro Fusion Razor
      1 small bag of Ruffles
      1 small bag of Fritos

      Used $4 off razor
      2 BOGO deoderant/body wash
      $10 ECB

      Paid $8.30oop
      Got Back 8ecb

      Trans #2
      3 boxes Kellogs Cereal
      4 12 packs of Coke

Used $5/15 that printed in trans #1
      $1/2 Kellogs cereal
      $8ECB from trans #1

      Paid $11.48 oop
      got back $8 ECB

I think I should have done the cereal spearatly.

    • Kelly

I need help!!! You ladies have all inspired me and this weekend I went and got my notebook with my clear inserts, got my coupons from the newspaper, printed off a bunch from the internet and now ready to go!!! All excited and still confused…..:( How many coupons can you use at one time for one product at CVS and/or Publix? Any other advice would be great too. was it a slow start for everyone?

      • Lauren

It was very slow for me. At first I felt like I was not really saving much, but after going back and looking at all the receipts I realized I was. CVS and Publix I am pretty sure only take one coupon per product. However B1G1 offers you can use 2 coupons. At my Publix in Lexington, they will double coupons 0.50 or less.

      • sealey5

It never hurts to ask the store that you go to, if you can use other stores q's. Sometimes they'll let you, other stores won't, so you never know till you ask. If they do let you use the store q, be sure to see if you have a manufacturer's q to stack with that store q, for the additional savings! Hope that wasn't confusing for you :) You'll catch on quick, couponing is ADDICTIVE!!!!! :)

        • Amanda

I am in the same boat Kelly. I have just started I have a lot of coupons, just dont know where to start. I have read the guidlines for CVS and Walgreens and now I am even more confused. Anyone live near me so we can talk about this? I live in Spring, TX

          • kelly

            Amanda,
I am going to try tonite for the first time at CVS and will see how it goes. Hopefully I will be successful!!! I don't live in texas but can try to help out a little when I get any ideas. I am trying to do this with a friend of mine and hoping that between the 2 of us maybe we can figure out some good deals. here to help anytime if i can!!

    • becky

I just got started couponing can someone tell if when they give you a limit is that a daily limit or for the entire ad limit?

      • sealey5

Hi Becky! The limit is for each item, for the weekly ad. Hope this helps!

    • Eran

I am new to couponing and have just gotten my grocery shopping down but with 5 children my real savings will come from toiletries I think. Does anyone have a preference over the CVS vs. Walgreens deals?

      • Ashley

CVS is WAY better. Walgreens has a more complicated process and are famous for their bad customer service. Read the tutorial on CVS to make sure you know how it works :)

      • Natalie559

I prefer CVS much more and believe that most others do too.

      • Angela

I like CVS much better because I have more time to cash in my ECB before they expire. The few times that I have gone to Walgreens and gotten register rewards, I have only a week (maybe a week and a half?) to use them before they expire. I also have five children, and so I don't make it to CVS every week. Plus there are not always deals on products that I can use every week. As you well know, with a large family, my time is precious! I'm thrilled if I can make it to Publix each week and then either CVS or Target, whichever one has the best deals. When I first stared couponing, I tried for way too many stores/deals and burned out fast. Stick with what will work for your family's needs. Hope it goes well!

      • Melissa

I like CVS best of the two. They are easier to get down pat and my local one is very good about coupons. I think it seems that people generally have a simpler time with CVS than at Walgreens. I shop WGs each week usually, but I have learned to expect a run-around and know how to handle them – it was intimidating in the beginning!

    • Kat15

The red box is also printing a coupon for 2ECBs that expire on the 10th! Got 15 cans of Friskies for $3, used $1 off friskies coupon and the the 2 ecbs.

    • GamecockShan

I couldn't get the Windex Printable to show up via the link. Any ideas?

    • GamecockShan

OK – here's a question for you “experts!”

I have a B1 Scrubbing Bubbles Gel, G1 Fresh brush 2-in-1 kit. Can I use this coupon and a $1 off gel coupon?

I thought I could because technically, the B1G1 is discounted for the Brush, not the gel. And $1 off gel, would be it's first coupon. Right?

      • Ashley

        Yes. That's correct

      • Nora

        That will work

    • David

I am new to couponing and CVSing!!!!Need some help???I need to know the best deals now for toilet tissue, batteries, and Cascade.Just started not alot of coupons!

    • Nora

I don't know if this was mentioned, but for the mylanta/rolaids deal couldn't you buy the two for the extra care buck deals and then use the $4 off 2 coupon. It would make it two for $7.98 then minus the $4 coupon and then you get 4 ecb, so it would be free.

      • Paul

i used that deal sunday, Nora, and it worked great

      • Raquel

        meeee tooo, working awesome!

      • I did the same thing plus had ECB from a previous purchase so all I paid was tax :)

    • Allison

Ok i have made my 3rd trip to CVS. Each time I have gone i have gotten the proglide razor, the John F shampoo, the Glades, and the Pantene. To my understanding all of these were a limit of one but they keep letting me buy them and giving me EB back on them and my reciept states I can still get more????? Anyone else experiencing this?

      • SSheila

I did my first trip today. I got the Proglide Razor, the John Freda and the Glade deals. Looking at my receipt, I have only reached my offer limit on the Glade (limit of 2)! It looks like I could do the John Freda and Proglide again. This is weird!

      • SSheila

I just went and got another Proglide Razor and got the $5 ECBs! Thanks for the heads up that it was making the limit greater than just 1.

    • Amber

This was my first CVS shopping trip since starting all this couponing stuff!
      I got:
      Pantene Shampoo and Conditioner (2/$6.97)
2 Tubes of Colgate Total Toothpaste ($2.49 each, Buy 1/Get 1 free)
4 Degree Mens Deoderant Sticks (2/$5.00)
2 Dove Womens Deoderant Sticks (2/$5.00)
      John Frieda Shampoo ($5)
      John Frieda Styling Cream ($5)
      Total = $48.98

I used $17 in manufacturer coupons, a CVS coupon for $1 off the toothpaste that I got for scanning my EC card during my trip, another $3 off $15 CVS coupon, $4 in ECB from CVS to spend a grand total of $12.62. I saved 74%!!! I also earned $10 in ECB for my next visit. Woot woot!!! SO EXCITED!!!

I was semi upset that all the Old Spice Fresh Collection deoderants were out at my store, so I am gonna hit up another one in the area tonight!!!

    • Benjamin

Thanks, CVS, for a great week (mostly for the $5/$15 yesterday!)! Broken up into four transactions last night and this morning, here's what I got:

      Gilette Power Razor
      Three Kellogg's Cereals
      Four Degree Deos
      Two Dove Deos
      Two Glade Candles
      Two Windex Multi-Surface Sprays

      Over a $70 value, only paid $0.97 (+$1.80 tax). Started with $5 ECB, ended with $5! :D

      On to Rite Aid tonight…

      • Benjamin

For those interested, here were my transactions:

        1) Razor: $9.97 – $4 PG 6/6 – $5 ECB = $0.97 + tax, $5 ECB earned
        2) Six Deos: $15 – $5/$15 crt – two $2/1 Dove ip – two $3/2 Degree ip = free + tax, $5 ECB earned
        3) Three Kellogg's and a Windex: $12.50 – $1.50/3 Kellogg's RP 05/23 – $1/1 Windex ip – $10 ECB = free + tax, $5 ECB earned
        4) One Windex and two Glade Candles: $7.50 – $1.50/2 Glade ip – $1/1 Windex ip – $5 ECB = free + tax, $5 ECB earned

      • Can you tell me which deal/transaction generated the $5 off $15? Thanks!

        • nc_sunshine

I got the $5 off $15 coupon on my receipt when we ran in for nothing more than a Sunday newspaper (since the gas station was out of them). A happy surprise from CVS!

        • Michelle J

I personally got the $5/$15 from Gillette Razor kit and Glade candles.

        • Benjamin

Yes, I think the $5/$15 was on any purchase on Sunday.

    • Suzanne

will someone remind me what order i need to hand over my coupons at cvs? here's what i'm thinking…first hand over your $5 off $15, then your regular coupons, then your ECBs?

      • SSheila

That is exactly how you do it!

        • Suzanne

thanks! i'm going for trip #2 today.

      • April

        you are correct.

    • SSheila

I have seen prescription transfer incentives in the past for CVS. Does anyone know of a coupon out there that has a prescription transfer incentive? Like get a $25 CVS gift card when you transfer you prescription? I searched around a little and haven't been able to find one. Thanks!!!

      • pharmSCgirl

I've had them print off at the kiosk when you scan your card. Also, they will usually take a Rite Aid coupon and there were some in the paper.

        • SSheila

I have a Rite Aid coupon from this past Sunday's paper and I just called my CVS and they said they will take it! I'm so excited to have a $25 gift card and I can't wait to see how long it will last!! Thanks for letting me know they would take a competitor coupon!

          • kelleyharold

All the CVS stores I've asked about it have stated that if the competitor coupon is for a TRANSFERRED Rx, you have to have one you are transferring TO CVS. They won't honor it if you have a current Rx with CVS that you are considering transferring to Rite Aid. I thought they might do that to keep my business, but they won't. Doesn't matter – the local Rite Aid kept me waiting for hours all 3 times I did try to transfer a prescription, only to tell me they didn't have it anyway. 3 times was a charm; I don't go to Rite Aid now.

All the CVS stores I've asked will definitely match the (local) competitor coupons for a NEW Rx, though.

      • Amanda

I just saw one in Target's ad this past Sunday for I think either $10 or $25 dont remember

      • Joyce Page

Rite Aid in NC is printing 2 such coupons in their Sunday sales paper to use for prescriptions transferred. The pharmacist at CVS can give you one also.

    • Paul

i tried using the old spice deal above, buy 2 deod.. and 1 body wash with coupons b1g1 free deod. and the free body wash when you buy deod. , they wouldnt take it any body have a problem here?

      • dorothy

My store made me buy 2 deod and 2 body wash and use 2 coupons. They said you couldnt use the same item for 2 coupons.

      • Raquel

i did the gillette deal and bought two deo. and two body washs and used 4 coupons; $4/2 Gillette Deodorant/body wash
        $2 deodorant
        B1G1 Gillette Deodorant/body wash
Free Body Wash wyb Gillette body wash
in that order and it worked fine at my store. i just think it makes things trickier when you are using two b1g1 coupons for three items rather than four. I am not sure though, I hope this helps.

      • JstMeNC

Yeah had the problem. Only got to use one q. : /

      • BB

Yes I had the same problem. They said you can not get 2 items free and only pay for 1 item.

    • kelly

just got my new cvs card (the old one broke in half) and am new to really using it anyway. I signed up online and never got a $4/$20 coupon. have they stopped doing this?

      • Raquel

I just used one other other day, as long as it is not expired they should :)

      • Make sure that the part where you put in your email address is correct, and click yes for receiving emails.

    • Kat15

Had a great day today… here's my transaction:
2-John Frieda root awakening (used 2-$3 off q's)
      2-Mylanta (used $4/2 q)
      1-Gillette ProGlide razor (used $4 off q)
      1-Dawn dish det (.25 cents off q)
also used $5/15 Q and 10ecbs… total Plus tax was $1.34!!! And got 12ecbs for nxt time!!

    • No one wants to help me?
I have a 15 dollar off coupon. And two sets of PG inserts for this week.. singles for all the others. Can someone help me make the most of it?

      http://vikkisfavoritethings.blogspot.com/

    • candace

I have a question about the glade deal. I was wondering if it would work to do this…
      Buy:
      (2) Glade Plug in refills ($2.50 ea)
      (2) Glade Plug in Holders ($2.50 ea?)
      Use:
      (2) -$1/1 Glade Plugins Scented Oil
      (2) Free Glade Plugin Holder wyb Glade PlugIns Olil Refill
      Total Due: $3
      Get back: $5 ECB

Wasn't sure if the holders are part of the ECB deal. Does anyone know or has anyone tried this?

      • The holders were not a part of the sale at my store :(

    • Crystal

Okay, can anyone answer a question for me? I've been wondering for awhile, and I'm hearing a lot of conflicting stories, so I'm not really sure anymore…

When doing a transaction, should you hand over manufacturer coupons first or ECB's first? A lot of people say you should give coupons first because ECB's are a form of payment, but a lot of other people say you should give ECB's first because then that will allow you to have a negative subtotal without the register beeping, which will “eat up” tax, and you'll pay less OOP that way.

      Can anyone clarify, please?

      • MAC

        You will want to give
$/$ (example $5 off $20 purchase) if you dont give this one first, your sub total will be lowered after your coupons for example, if you only have $20 worth of items and you give your coupons your total may be $11… Your $5 off of 20 will not work because your total is only $11 AFTER your coupons. So always give them first :)
        *Store coupons
        *Manuf. coupons
        *ecb's
        *cash

Thank you so much for all your hard work putting these deals together for us. I had a great shopping experience today at CVS. I worked the Gillette shaver deal, the Kelloggs cereal, the Venus Breeze shaver, and the Glad products. I had a rain check for the Thermacare Neck pads (free after ECBs) and the Old Spice Body Wash. The body wash was listed on the raincheck as $4 with $4 ECB's but they were on sale this week for $3 so the manager, who was checking me out, gave them to me for $3 and I didn't even ask! I used the BOGO and he gave me back $8 in ECB's. When all was said and done I got everything free and made $3! Whoo Hoo…thx.

    • Grace

      A nice deal at CVS:

I went into CVS on Sunday and after getting my Gillette Razor I got a coupon for $5off$15 purchase…so I ran in today and got :

      4 x Windex
      4x scrubbing bubbles
2x Tampax and my total was $25.94

      I used the $5off$15 purchase
      $1 off Windex x4
      $2 off 2 scrubbing bubbles x2
      $2 off Tampax x2
It brought the total down to $8.94…I used $9 in ECBs I got on Sunday and ended up paying .17 cents for everything…PLUS I got back $10 in ECB for next time. Woot Woot!

I am stacked up with Windex and Scrubbing bubbles for a while now…lol…my house should be really clean. :)

      • Lucy

I got a $5/$15 coupon too. I was so excited that I grabbed my coupons from home and went right back in.

Gillete Fusion Pro glide razor = $9.97
        Gillette clinical deodorant = $7.99
        Gillette Body wash = $3
        -$5/$15
-$3 free body wash wyb deodorant
        -$2 clinical deodorant
        -$4 gillette razor
Total due: a little over $8
        ECBs got back: $5

Did a 2nd transaction and gotten a gallon of milk + a quart of milk, paid $0.32. I am super happy with this, considering I did need the deodorant and a razor for my hubby. So that's less than $9 for a razor, clinical deodorant, body wash, a gallon and a quart of milk. Couldn't be happier!!!

      • shl30643

Where did you get the scrubbing bubbles q? Thanks

        • Amy

There are peelies in some stores. That's where I got mine.

    • Sarah

My best week at CVS in a while (in money spending). I bought 4 Glade candles (love them), 2 dawn dish soaps, 2 rolaids, pack of gum, and 3 boxes of candy (my man is a candy freak)….and I only spent $.10!! I usually spend a few dollars! I used coupons for the Glade, Dawn, & Rolaids and had 10 ECB, also I scanned my card at the coupon thing and it gave me 2 ECB's to use! Never had that happen before!!

Just wanted to say I think I figured something out…if you pay with ECB's 1st and coupons 2nd…the coupons eat some of the tax and you can spend less. That's why I think I have always spent at least $1.5 or more, just make sure you have your total right so you don't waste ECB's. Some of you know this, but some of you don't I'm sure. Anyways, all I can say is I LOVE CVS & SOUTHERN SAVERS!!!!

      • Sarah

forgot to mention I got 10 back in ECB's as well!!

      • It's true, ECB first eats up some of your tax, but if you have a $off purchase coupon (eg $5/15 or $5/30, be sure that you use that one first. If you use it at the end, and your coupons have made you go below the purchase threshold, the register will beep. Your purchase does still qualify for it, but they have to put the coupon in manually. Some cashiers will need to call the manager for authorization, or may refuse to do it at all.

My CVS would not allow me to do the deal that is posted below. Is anyone else been allowed to do the Old Spice deo and body wash as posted?
      **Deal Idea**
      Buy:
      (2) Old Spice Deodorants $3.99
      (1) Old Spice Body Wash
      Use:
B1G1 Old Spice Deodorant PG 6/06
Free Body Wash wyb Old Spice Deodorant PG 6/06
      Total Due: $3.99
Get Back: $2 ECB, makes it 66¢ ea

      • Jo

I did it last night. The computer did not beep or anything, and they did not ask any questions. It 'should' work because only one coupon attaches per item. I would ask them to try scanning the coupons and see if it works – and explain that they will get reimbursed by the manufacturer. But if you think they'll put up a fight it might not be worth the hassle just to get the extra shower gel. I was ready to put the shower gel back if they gave me a hard time, but thankfully they didn't

      • Lisa S

I did this transaction on Sunday Antioch TN CVS no problems

      • Amy

I was able to do it. I had that one done separately so I could make sure it went that way. I would have understood if they wouldn't have accepted it though.

    • Shelley

Hi, I am new at couponing. Can anyone suggest a organized way to keep track of your coupons. Between the online printables and the inserts from the Sunday paper my little coupon pouch is over flowing. Thanks.

      • AH

You can look at this post for great information on coupon organization! http://www.southernsavers.com/2009/06/extreme-couponing-organization/

      • Natalie559

There are many ways, but the 2 I find most popular are 1) an accordion coupon file- I got mine at office depot- that stores all your clipped coupons + a folder in which you keep your whole inserts dated to pull and clip from as necessary or 2) a 3 ring binder with baseball card inserts- this keeps all your coupons visible.

Happy couponing- you'll love it, especially with southern savers help!!!

      • I started with the accordian coupon files and have now moved on to a 3 ring binder. I do not like the baseball card pages, as they are too small. Every coupon has to be folded in order to make them fit. I bought 4×6 photo pages from the photo/scrapbooking section at walmart. They have 3 pockets on each page and I cut white cardstock into 4×6 pcs and inserted into each pocket. This allows me to use the front and the back of each one. So no folding of coupons!! I made a padded cover with straps. similar to the “coupon clutch”.

        • 3monkeysmom

I just started doing the 3 ring binder..unfortunately I use the baseball card holders and you are absolutely right…you have to fold most of them to get them to fit and it's soooo annoying. That's a great idea about the photo pages… I might try that instead :-)
I was wondering if you organize your coupons alphabetically or by type of food/item.

          • I sort by category ( baby, baking, beauty, bread, breakfast, cleaning, dairy, ethnic, frozen, health, meats, paper, pasta/rice, pets, soups, snacks, veggies/fruit… I think that is all) and then within each category the pockets are my sub-categories. Example: Dairy, I have pockets for butter, cheeses, creamer/sour cream, eggs, doughs, yogurts. I label the pockets with a permanent marker.

            • Jeffandashley

Me too. I love the Baseball Card Holdersbut I do have a lot of categories too. I fold them and stick them in sideways so when I set my binder in the cart I can see everything with just a few divider turns.

    • Natalie559

Can anyone verify if the $5 off $15s are still printing on receipts today tuesday 6-8? Thanks to everyone that mentioned this coupon!! What a great savings! My Publix accepts cvs coupons so this is an added bonus for me.

      • Carla

I just got back from CVS, and a 5$ off $15 purchase printed on my receipt.

      • Angela

It just printed on mine, too. Now I'm scheming up a $15 purchase to see how little I'll have to pay! :)

        • 3monkeysmom

I've worked out three different scenerios to use it and can't decide which one to pick!!!

        • 3monkeysmom

I worked on some more scenarios and I finally found one that will be FREE after ECB.
          Buy:
          2 Old Spice Deodorant @ $3.99
          1 Venus Razor @ $8.99
          Total: $16.97
          Use:
          $5 off $15
Old Spice BOGO q from a P&G mailer ( I thought I saw some in the 6/06 insert too, not sure though)
$2 off Venus Razor from Rogue magazine or P&G 6/06
          $5 ECB
          Total: 98 CENTS plus tax
Get back $6 in ECB ( $4 from the razor and since the limit is 2 on the Old Spice, $2 from the Old Spice!!!)
I tried and tried and this was the only thing that I could come up with to get it to FREE. If I had any of the Dove/Degree coupons, I'm sure it would FREE plus overage, but my print limit was reached from the last deal :-(

      • Megan

        I did not get one

      • LindseyA

        I got one today.

      • Lisa S

i just returnded home did not get one

        • Alexis

I did not get one today either!

      • Jing

Yes,it printed out from my receipts.

      • Some are, some aren't. The new cards aren't printing anything anymore, and some of the people that didn't get one in the last few days are still getting one today. Go in and try it!

      Free Ice Cream!

If you thumb through to the second page of the ad, under the 10 for $10 sale, pictured is Skinny Cow Ice Cream. Get the coupon at their site (http://www.skinnycow.com/coupon/any-1-search.php) for $1 off any Skinny Cow and get the ice cream free!

      Cheers

    • Alexis

Does the P&G Deal (spend $25, get free Charmin) have to be in one transaction?

      • Megan

I did it all in one because I had a $5 off $30 from the coupon machine, so I added two of the Dove deoderants to the $25 in P&G products. (I split up the Dove deal) I ended up with 2 packs of pampers, one cascade, four dawns, 2 dove deoderants, and the free toilet paper for $13.11 including tax. It is a little more than I normally spend at CVS, but we actually needed the TP!

        • LeAnnaShaw

What we won't do for TP…LOL. I did the deal as well. Three boxes of tampax, 1 pads, two cascade, two dawn and one bounty…all to get the free tp! I don't use tampax-gave em to dd and her friends. Have a cubboard of dish liquid…but did need the always and the cascade….and can always use papertowels. But all in all, w/ my old ecbs….I paid 3 something…so I am good.

      • Becca

I am wondering the same thing! I have spent the $25 but broken up in three transactions on different days, but don't really know how to go about getting my Charmin now….

    • Ann L

I just back from CVS using my $5 off $15 that printed for me on Sunday and on today's receipt I got $2 in extra bucks to use in 3 days. Wow what is going on?

      • 3monkeysmom

I was wondering that too :-) I made a quick trip in today for the Fusion ProGlide and some pretzels and I got the $5 off $15 on my reciept. I have NEVER gotten anything on a reciept before. I'm super-excited I finally got one, but now I have to decide what to buy with it…it will expire on the 11th.
Told my sis about it and she said she went today and got one too!! Not sure what's up but I like it :-)

        • Megan

I made a quick trip for pads tonight and got the $5 off $15 too! and also a $2 off $6 bodywash purchase from the coupon center. Combined with the bodywash/deoderant coupons I should be able to get a good deal =)

          • 3monkeysmom

Yep, that should make for a pretty good deal :-) I was hoping to do the Dove/Degree deal but they haven't reset the print limit on dontfretthesweat(dot)com from the last time I printed them, which was the last time CVS had the Dove/Degree deal :-)
I'm glad you got a useful coupon out of the machine….I got a BOGO coupon for Godiva chocolates…wishing I could find some coupons to go with it, it would make a good Father's Day gift, my dad loooves dark chocolate :-)

    • Lisa S

i just returned home from CVS
when i scanned my cvs card at the red coupon spot it printed out $2.00 ECB I LOVE CVS

      • Amy J.

I got one of these last night as well…..awesome! it expires 06/11, so i'd better figure out a “plan” and go back tomorrow to use it :-)

    • ScottK

I got an email for $4 off a $20 purchase!

      CVS you win again!!!!!

    • Mary

I just received an CVS survey that went to my junk mail. For completing the survey I received $10 in extra bucks. Everyone check their junk mail!

      • AJ

Lucky ducky! I didn't get one. Pout. ;-)

      • gingerinCA

Thanks for the heads-up! Checking now…

    • Kathy

CVS deal of the day. Pampers Wipes were on clearance for .97 and with the 2.00 coupon in Sundays paper it is Free plus….

    • Lynn

      Hi,
I bought transaction 4 and did not get 5 ecbs and they didn't know about the mail in rebate. The sales clerk said the coupons I used made it less than waht was needed for the 5 ECBs and that I needed to spend 5 more dollars. Did I do something wrong?

      • It should have printed. Everything should print on the before coupon prices.

I think your cashier was just lazy, and didn't want to print you the ECB. Next time ask to speak to the manager – and ask for a refund if you don't get the deal that's in the ad.

It's our job to make sure you're satisfied and you get everything thats coming to you.

        ~CVS employee

Edit: Most of the stores don't know about the SC Johnson Rebate. I did tell some of the associates today when I was doing my transactions – i hope they get a form for themselves!

    • Tanya

Don't forget the skinny cow ice cream cups are $1. You can get $1 coupons on their website and my liking them of facebook. Yeah for free ice cream!

      • Kristi

How many coupons can you use? I am new to this, wasn't sure if you could print out more than 1 coupon or not to use (like if I wanted to buy 3-4 cups)?

        • AJ

Many times the printable coupons allow you to print 2 from the same computer before saying you've reached your limit.

        • Francomom00

You can print a total of 4 coupons, two from each source.

        • Ryen

Hit your back button 3 times to get a 2nd one from each source

    • Jojosnchz

They should say that to you because I went and I got the 5 ECB and the mail in rebate you have to do at home because the store doe not do that…it's a separate deal. But meanwhile you purchase 10 dollars the coupon prints on the receipt automatically.

    • LeAnnaShaw

Can anyone tell me the actual policy of CVS when it comes to their expired coupons…I.E….$4/20…..or even the ecb;s. I went today and my 4/20 had expired on the 6th. The poor cashier was shaking in his boots. He said no. I told him that I had been told it could happen. He said no. I asked nicely if he would get manager(who knows me)-but manager was in bathroom(as line grew). One ass't manager came over and said 'I aint touching that' Another guy came and put it through. He said NP. But poor boy was so worried. I told him that I would get to the bottom of this. I don't want him in trouble. Additionally one of my ecbs beeped and expired TODAY. He did not want to take it-but did. I guess he felt that was okay to push through! As he should have! But on a good note….a $5/15 printed on the bottom of my reciept. I left my cart at front of store and went back and got a razor(had the $4) Q, and three nutri grain bars! my 11yo eats 2-3 of those bars a day-I ussually buy store brand..but hey…this was a good deal.

    • Jeanine

so, if you get the $5/15 you can: get 2 john frieda hair products and 2 glade products that were on sale for 2/5 as well as working towards that rebate..use 2 $3 off on the john frieda and your $5/15 and then a $1 off glade and it comes to like, 3.00 for all that! not including the ecb you get back from the john frieda is 3, making it all free!!!

    • Becca

With the FREE CHARMIN deal after buying $25 of P&G….
Will the charmin just automatically ring up for free anytime after I have made the $25 worth of purchases??
I ran in to get Pampers last night and realized when I got home that had put me over the $25 mark, so I don't know if I can just go back in and get the charmin? There is no record of the amount spent towart the P&G/Charmin deal on the receipt…
Any one else gotten this deal or know how it works?

      • Megan

They ring up the charmin and it is automatically deducted off your receipt.

    • AJ

There was a coupon in the Tennessean for the follow ECB deal:

$2 ECB wyb any Gillette Cartridges Limit 1
      — $2 off any Venus Cartridge PG 6/6

At my CVS, these were $13.99 for a 4 pack (regular price). Combine with the coupon, a small filler item and the $5/$15 that's floating around, makes for:

      4 pack cartridges 13.99
      Filler item 1.01
      – $2 coupon
      – $5/$15
      Total Due: $8
      Get Back: $2 ECB

Makes it $6 for 4 cartridges.

      • AJ

Forgot to point it out, but this goes nicely with the following deal if you get the matching cartridges:

$4 ECB wyb Gillette Venus Embrace or Breeze Razor (excludes disposables) $8.99 Limit 1
-$2 off any Venus, Embrace, Daisy razor PG 6/06 (makes it $2.99)

        Razor 8.99
        4 pack cartridges 13.99
        – $2 coupon (razor)
        – $2 coupon (cartridges)
        – $5/$15
        Total Due: $13.98
        Get Back: $6 ECB

Total for razor (which includes 2 cartridges) and 4 pk cartridges: $7.98

    • The baby clearance is still going on in some stores! Majority of the items aren't tagged with the yellow 75% off sticker, but they are ringing up at the clearance price. Just scan the barcodes at the Extra Care kiosk to double check.

I made three separate trips to three different stores and it was so worth it!

      1st trip: Spent $32.57, Saved $127.53

5 jumbo packs CVS ultra thin diapers @ $2.24 ea
      8 packs CVS wipes 128ct-192ct @ $1.32-1.74 ea
      3 mega packs Huggies Little Movers @ $4.49 ea (used $3 off x 3)
      2 J&J Bedtime Bath @ $1.49 (used $1 off x 2)
(got $2 ECB back for CVS diapers)

      2nd trip: Spent $57.26, Saved $170.06

6 jumbo packs CVS ultra thin diapers @ $2.24 ea
      11 packs CVS wipes 128ct-192ct @ $1.32-1.74 ea
      5 packs CVS travel wipes 72ct @ .82 ea
3 mega packs CVS ultra thin diapers @ $3.29 ea
      2 mega packs Huggies Little Movers @ $4.49 ea (used $3 off x 2)
splurged on Huggies Jeans diapers $11.99 (used CVS $2 off and Huggies $3 off)
      Used $2 ECB

      3rd Trip: Spent $52.22, Saved $143.59

6 jumbo packs CVS ultra thins @ $2.24 ea
7 mega packs CVS ultra thins @ $3.29 ea
      6 packs CVS wipes 128ct-192ct $1.32-1.74
      3 travel packs CVS wipes 72ct @.82

This averages out to less than a penny per wipe, and 7 to 8 cents per diaper – and with the $3 off coupon, the Huggies megas were only $1.49 – two cents per diaper!!!

      You can't beat CVS!!!

      • Riley

Seriously? Was there anything left on the shelves?!

        • 3monkeysmom

If you'll click on her name, you will see on her blog that she has twins and is pregnant….so I'm pretty sure she needs all those diapers and wipes :-)

          • kate

I have triplets, so I would've grabbed every diaper in sight!! WTG, Amanda! I need to go to CVS now!!

      • Brendazizolfo

Good for you. While I try not to clear the shelves on items that I don't need a lot of- if you needed the diapers/wipes, I'm happy for you getting a great deal. I don't like when people get angry at people for saving their family money. Let's all just be happy for one another instead of acting like shelf clearers r criminals :-)

      • guest

That is a fantastic deal! thanks for sharing, and ignore the negative feedback. You got a great deal, and shared it for others! Thanks!

      • ivegotcutekids

Great deal!! I have 2 in diapers and am amazed at how quickly they can go through a pack. I try to really stock up whenever I can get them cheapest.

      • Jeffandashley

Wipes are also on sale at Target this week with last weekends $2.00 off Pamper wipes you can get 72-60 wipes (Depending on Sensitive, Regular, etc.) for $0.29 or so.

        • Rachel797

I got wipes for tax only at WalMart. I used my $2 off pampers wipes on a tub that rang up at 1.97!

    • CHRISTINA

DID YOU SAVE ANY FOR ANYONE ELSE!!

      • Colleen

Get a grip! If you read any coupon blogs regularly, you would know that this clearance has been going on for awhile now. I checked last week at both CVS stores in my town and they were already wiped out. You win some, you lose some. All I can say is lucky for her-she needs all that stuff! So calm down.

      • Shelly

You can always get a rain check.

    • CHRISTINA

SO I ASSUMED YOU MADE THIS COMMENT SO OTHER MOTHERS COULD GET A GREAT DEAL, BUT IF YOU WIPE OUT THREE DIFFERENT CVS STORES IN ONE DAY, YOU MIGHT HAVE JUST TAKEN ALL THE MERCHANDISE OUT IN YOUR TOWN, DEPENDING WERE YOU LIVE, I TRY NOT TO DO THIS.

      • 3monkeysmom

If you'll click on her name, you will see on her blog that she has twins and is pregnant….so I'm pretty sure she needs all those diapers and wipes :-)

Seriously? You're rude AND you don't know how to properly reply to someone. And you're yelling. Please be nice and try to have a better night. :)

      • Kel

Simmer down. She is trying to tell people about great deals, it's not like she walked up and stole it out of your cart. How about you be thankful that she did share the deal with everyone? Did you even check your CVS or are you just being rude to the poor woman?

Amanda – thank you for the post on the deals. I was able to snag some free after coupon Pampers wipes last night in TX! :)

Got my 2 ECB from q machine today but my store tells me now that they no longer take internet prints.

    • LKNBaseballMom

What does ECB stand for? im new to all of this

      • Girl D29

Extra Care Bucks & they are fantastic!Take the coupon tutorial and follow her instructions and you will save BIG!!

    • Michelle J

I'm pouting. Well, no, I'm happy…but pouting. Lol. I spent $12.82, saved $34.02 and got $5 ECB's back. Why am I pouting? I only spent 14.99 on Covergirl so now I have to go back, “return” my products and buy a CG filler. BUT, I did get CG mascara 50% off by selecting the color brown, which is “out of season” according to the cashier. AND I got $2 ECB's just for scanning my card as I came in the store! AND I was able to get an additional Gillette razor on my card for FREE (Starting price $12.99, marked down to $8.99, $4Q, $5 EBC's-I forgot my $4 Q last trip a few days ago.) :D

    • Mysterious_Mentalist

The scenario under Glade describes Plugins twin refills for $2.50.

However, only single ones “Plugins Scented Oils” (those that go into electric outlet) are for sale-the count 2 sizes are not. Therefore $1/2 Q. will apply and would end up less than the deal outlined.

The “Scented Refill Oil candles” (without the “Plug-ins”-those that burn in a tray) 3+(1 bonus) count/size are also for sale for this deal. That does not come in 2 count and probably there is no Q out there for those except one that you might find inside their burner package for $2/2 candle items. If you are able to use that Q., only then this type might be a deal.

In ad, it says something like “…Scented Oil…1-3 count” which is ambiguous and perhaps somewhat misleading, appears to refer to “Plugins Refill 1 count” and “Oil candle 3+1bonus count” oil that burns on tray. There is no item with 2 count that qualifies for the deal. Let me know if I am missing something

    • Tracie

when i go to CVS and work these scenarios, what do i give the cashier first. i am afraid i am going to screw this up!!

      • Arielles

Give the $ / $ coupon first if you have. Next use CVS store coupons, then manufacturer coupons. Last use any Extra Care Bucks that you have. Hope this helps!

    • Tracylynn927

THank you so much for the scenarios, I went to CVS yesterday spent $4.89 in three transactions and when I came home and added the value of my purchases it was over $74.00! My best coupon shopping yet!

      • Tracylynn927

OH, and forgot to mention that I left with $5 ECB :)

    • Megan

FYI Biore skincare is B1G1 %50 off (at my CVS anyway) and there is a $2.00 coupon on their website if you take a survey =)

      • Megan

oops this was wrong…the Biore are $7.99 each but part of the Jergens/John Frieda deal. Still a good coupon and doesn't expire until December.

      • Ryen

I looked everywhere and can't find the survey??

    • Jennifer

      Im new!
      i have a CVS question!
on the kellogs deal above in red it has three coupons listed.
can you use all three coupons or is it listed so you can chose which coupon to use on the deal?
      Thanks!
      Jennifer

kellogs deal at cvs, .. above

      • kate

Well, if you do the kelloggs deal and buy three items, then you can use three coupons. They have them listed in red to show you what kelloggs coupons there are available to use that were either in a Sunday paper, magazine or on the internet. To get the best deal, I would buy three kelloggs cereals and use the $1.50/3. Hope this helps.

    • Malibuaimee

just wanted to share….i purchased the Crest White Strips the other day and this was my deal: i used $10 off P&G coupon plus they honored Walgreens $8 off coupon which was a total of $18 off $31 which made it $13 then i got my $10 ECB so really cost $3…then i did same scenario and used my $10 ECB and purchased another that cost $3 and got $10 more ECB!!! so each store may vary but it doesnt hurt to ask if your local store will honor the Walgreen coupon…it was in this weeks sale ad…Aimee in Wilmington ,NC

    • Jeannie_deals

Regarding the Kellogs deal, I do not see in the CVS AD in the store but even though its on the AD thats scan for this site. Do I need the AD coupon at the checkout? I do not see any signs in the store where the cereals are located?

      • kate

You should'nt need the ad. A few weeks ago the Sobe was B1G1 and I didn't see a sign showing this at the store when I went to get them. They still rang up the B1G1. Not sure why their ad doesn't show the deal though.

    • kate

Thinking about taking advantage of the FREE Charmin deal w/ the purchase of $25 in PG. Here's my list…

      Buy:
      (3) Pampers Diapers, jumbo pk $8.98

      Use:
(3)-$1.50 off Pampers Diapers PG 6/06
-$5 on purchase of $15 or more
      -$10 ECB
      Total Due:7.44
Get Back: Free Charmin 9 roll

One question though…the $5off $15 purchase expires today. Does that mean that it is still good??

      • Shelly

Where did you get teh $5 off $15 coupon?

        • kate

I had bought some things a few days ago and it printed off on the receipt. It was only good for few days though, which I didn't even pay attention to the expiration date until today.

I was able to use the $5/$15 purchase plus got $2 ECB when I scanned my cvs card. Seems like a couple other people have gotten the $2 ECB when they scan their card at the store. Maybe today is a good day to go in and see if anyone else gets one too. So my total due was actually $5.44 for 3 pampers jumbo pk and FREE charmin 9 roll when I used the extra $2ECB I had just gotten!! Pretty sweet deal!!

    • AngelaDH

      I spent $4.84 (.79 was tax):
      3 Stride Gum (B2G1) 1.29 each
2 Stride Shift Gum (1.49 ea
      1 Kid's Bubbles 1.00 (I needed to get to $15)
      1 Pampers Diapers 8.98

      Coupons:
      (2) Buy 1 Stride get 1 Stride Shift Free
      (1) 1.50/Pampers
      $5/$15
$2 EB that printed at the Coupon Computer Thingy today…

And it was my bag tag's 4th visit so I received 1 EB!!

    • Smurphy

Can you use a $ off coupon that printed on a CVS receipt and a mfg's coupon on the same item at CVS?. Buy one item and use both coupons?

      • Kchaney7

As long as it's a store coupon, you can use the CVS coupon and a manufacturer's coupon on the same item (2 coupons on 1 item – a store coupon and a manufacturer's coupon).

    • pharmSCgirl

Has anyone gotten the $5 off coupon inside their Gillette ProGlide razor? I opened mine today and no coupons were inside. Bummer!

      • Daune

After buying my 3rd Gillette Razor there was finally a “special offer” inside. You have to take a survey and they send you a $5.00 cash card. Was easy to do but a little time consuming. Daune

    • You shouldn't need anything at all, except for your extra care card. If for some reason you don't get the deal, return the product or ask for the deal.

Just remember, 3 boxes will ring up at $10, you will get the $5 back as extra bucks.

    • 3monkeysmom

Went in today to use my $5 off $15…scanned my card at the coupon center and got a $2 ECB!!!!

      • kate

Me too!! Much better than the dinky coupons that's been spitting out lately.

        • I've had a few customers get this coupon combo on their reciept: $1/off dove chocolate + $2 ECB. That + 2 of the $.33 carmels ends up being $.23 total. (For some reason, we don't have the option to rekey the ECB to a smaller amount.

I went and grabbed the chocolate for a few drive thru pharmacy customers – that's how much I like saving money, I still love it when other people are doing it!

          • CouponBubba

Thank you so much for doing that, Jennifer Renee! I love the thought that an employee is helping other customers enjoy the savings! I have a similar situation in the CVS where I shop with one of the assistant managers and a couple of the cashiers – they're always happy for me when I get a great deal!

      • Megan

        Me too =)

      • Rachel797

I got one too!!! That was a great surprise!!

    • Janeherrera

I spent $6.79 (tax was $1.54 of that)
and bought (8) boxs of Tampax pearl tampons 18 count, each priced $2.97
and 1 tube of Crest toothpaste priced $1.99

      Coupons:
      (8) $2.00 off Tampax pearl tampons
      (2) $2.00 ECB
and got a FREE 9 roll of Charmin toilet paper with the PG deal

    • Adhawkins08

I dont think I understand this process?? Could someone help?

      • Shirley

What is it that is confusing you? If you are unsure about the whole CVS ECB and transactions, try reading the starting guide, there is a link to it at the beginning of the page. It takes a little getting used to but you will get the hang of it.

The whole point of working CVS is that you want to pay as little cash as possible for the things we need. To do this, we make use of the fact that for some products we buy, CVS will pay us a certain amount 'cashback', ie. the Extra Care Buck (ECB). We then use the ECBs to buy other things we need that will also give us ECBs back, thereby eliminating the need to pay too much cash 'out of pocket' (OOP).

If you have any questions, feel free to ask them here, we will try to help you as much as we can. Cheers

    • Ro12ro

I have a question about using the Old Spice coupons…can I use both coupons listed in Scenario 1 at the same time? I am confused about it. It is the b1/g1 deo. and b1/deo/ g1 wash coupons.

    • Freshbreath96

Ok. So I got 3 boxes of cereal and two pantente pro-v shampoos for 32 cents! all tax!!!
I used $5/$15 coupon I got on my last receipt as well as $1 off 2 kellogs cereal and $1/2 pantene pro-v. I used 7 ecb from last week and before I went to the register i scanned my card at the machine and it printed out an extra 2 ecb! so i used that in addition and paid nothing but tax! I LOVE CVS!!!

    • Carrie

Does anyone have any idea how much the Colgate Total B1G1 is???? It isn't listed in this weeks add either, so I'm not sure what to expect.

      • Dianne

I usually see it for $3.49 regular price at my CVS.

    • Lindsay

I wante to do the dove deal today. I was planning on buying:
      1 shampoo $3.50
      1 conditioner $3.50
      3 deodorants 2.50 ea.

This adds up to $14.50. Is that enough to get my ECBs or do I need to actually spend $15? Has anyone tried this and it worked for them? I'd like to know ahead of time so I can be prepared.

      • Ashley

You have to actually spend $15 before coupons.

    • kim

Ok, I've read through some of the comments, but I don't see an answer to my question. I downloaded the spring Rouge magazine, but I don't see any coupons in it, only ads. I see above that the Crest Whitestrips coupon is in the *May* Rouge, not the *spring* Rouge. What am I missing? Is there a May Rouge as well? I know it's me; I just need a roadmap. I'm still new and quite overwhelmed. Thank you for any info!

      • Stephanie in Bham

I think the coupons were only in the mailed version. It is free if you want to subscribe for the next one. If you happen to live in the Bham, AL area, I will let you have my coupon.

        • kim

Why thank you, Stephanie! Actually, I'm in Charleston. I guess I didn't realize that there is an online version without coupons and a print version with. I had $14 in ECB plus I had a $3 off $15 coupon. With my $5 coupon, the $32 Crest strips ended up being $7, so I wasn't complaining. I'm a newbie, but I'm hooked! Thanks again for the info and the offer.

I don't know if anyone has already posted this, but there are $3 off any $15 Sun care purchase coupons printing out of the scanner. I don't know when I got mine but it expires 6/22. It would go well with that coppertone deal. Would make them 2.99 each. I don't need anymore sunscreen so I doubt I will do it, but just wanted to let anyone who was thinking of it know to make sure to scan their card first.

    • Pam

I was soooo happy with my CVS trip today – I just had to post it. I got 6-Dove deodorants; 2- 2 liter Diet Sierra Mist; 2-packs of “5” gum; and a travel size Axe body spray. I used 4- $2 off any Dove deodorant q's; 2- $1.50 off any Dove deodorant q's; a $4 off $20 q from e-mail; & $6 in ECB's that expire tomorrow. I spent $1.19 OOP, saved $29.29, & left with $5 in ECB's! YAY!!!! The cashier was so impressed that she asked me about where I got my q's, so I gave her the website.
