CVS Weekly Ad 6/20-6/26

Here are the deals that start this coming weekend at CVS. It’s not a big week, but I’m loving the big Huggies diapers sale. Keep in mind most stores don’t have a ton of the big boxes so if your store is out… get a rain check! CVS rain checks do not expire and will print the ECB’s when you use them.shoppinglist1

Thanks! I'm excited about the diapers.

    • Dani

Does anyone know if the Power Bars reset? I got three last week and that was the limit. I though I heard it was for the month of June.

      • Pretty sure it is a monthly deal so I would consider the limit reached.

      • Patty

Where did you get the power bars coupons? Thanks.

    • Beth

Thanks for posting, Jenny! I had forgotten that I had filed that $3 CVS coupon off of a box of Huggies that I can stack w/MQ! Yeah – $3.99 for a box!

      • Sylvia

If you have a $4 off $20 its even better!!

    • Nsavings

can we also not use cvs colgate coupon? which was mailed ?

    • Mom2teenagers

    • Couponer1

Can anyone tell me if CVS ever has any deals/sales of childrens Tylenol or Motrin ?(generic is fine)
      Thanks!

      • Deshisk8chick

they certainly do, but the deals arent as frequent in the summer as they would be in the winter so you definitely have to keep an eye out.

        • Couponer1

Thanks! My little guy got sick with a fever so I am headed out the door to get some 'feel better' medicine for him. I wish I could be sick for him.
          :-(

      • Eescraft

I work at a hospital and I buy meds like that at the hospital pharmacy at cost. Brand tylenol is 1.50 and generic motrin is 3.00. This might be a good option for you if there aren't sales/coupons and you need it right away. I only have half a bottle of motrin left after emptying out the med cabinet for the recent recalls. Hey, but I got a check for $37 for the meds I had to throw out.

        • Valerie

How did you get money back for the recalled products? Did I miss the opportunity? I have 7 recalled products in a ziploc in my bathroom!

          • Susan

You have to call…there's a number out there somewhere. My check was for almost $200–I had 27 bottles of Tylenol, Motrin, and Children's Zyrtec.

          • M_bruere

my cvs gave me a money card for mine. I got about $80 for the stuff I brought in.

      • Bekah

I know Wal-greens does on their generic usually a B1G1 so CVS should too.

      • Yes, they do once in a while.

    • Gamego71

I will be in the Asheville area on Saturday. Can someone tell me where I should go to the get the Saturday only deal?

      • pennywiseinasheville

What part of Asheville are you going to be in? I'm an Asheville resident.

        • Gamego71

I will be traveling from the Hendersonville to Leicester to go visit my parents and back.

          • Kim

I know the one in Mills River has their ad up on Saturday. They will even give you a copy of the ad if you ask.

      • Jen

I've been to 2 CVS's in Hendo, 1 in Mills River, and the one in Brevard….I've NEVER had a problem. All the CVS's in the area seem to be VERY coupon friendly! Hope it goes well!

        • Kim

I have to agree, these are 2 of the best CVS stores around! They are wonderful with coupons and rain checks. I love them both and am so glad I live in between the 2 stores!

    • kate

I'm so excited about the diapers. I've got a $5 off $25, so if I pair the diapers with the 2 free toothpaste, I'm getting an extra $5 off the diapers. I've got the $3 manufacturers coupon, but I don't have the $3 coupon from the receipt. Does anyone know when it printed? I don't remember ever seeing coupons on receipts before. Thanks!

      • rebekahlittle88

mine printed last week when I scanned my card at the coupon scanner (not sure what you call it) but i actually got 2.

      • Jennifer

I got a $3 Huggies CVS coupon from the machine about a week ago. It expires on the 21st of June. I also got the $5 of $25 email yesterday. I feel rich!

    • wendyc33

Isnt there a dr. scholls rebate also? I thought I saw one. Also some powerbar coupons were out also. Thanks Jenny

    • Kate

Figured out a good deal on the diapers. Here's my list…

      Buy:
      (1) Huggies Snug & Dry Daipers box $19.99
      (1) Tide Stain Release 10ct., or 20oz., $3.49
      (2) Glade Spray $1

      Use:
      $5/$25 purchase coupon
      $3 Huggies coupon
$3 Tide Stain Release coupon (received in mail with samples)
      (2) $1 Glade spray coupons

      Total Due: 12.48
      Get Back: $10 ECB

So after the ECB I get back it makes it $2.48…not bad. Would be even sweeter if I had the $3 coupon that is printing on some receipts. Oh well…can't win them all!! Happy shopping everyone!

      • sonyapell

Isn't the $3 off Stain Release Q only good on the medium or large sizes? I've been watching for them at my CVS, but they only carry the 10 ct. small size. I've been waiting to use that Q because of the size issue.

    • Ayanlang

Does anyone know if the Gilette Fusion ProGlide can use the regular Gilette Fusion blades?

      • Jennifer

I just got a ProGlide for my husband a few weeks ago. It says on the box that you can use any Fusion blades.

        • Ayanlang

          Thanks!!

    • sonyapell

I've never had a Q print on my CVS receipt. Like, really? At the bottom of the receipt like where the ECB print?

Also, where did y'all find the power bar coupons? I'd like to take advantage of that deal for my hubby!

      • happymom

I don't get many Qs on my receipts either, but you can scan your card at the red box when you go in. I usually get 2-3 a visit that way.

    • Darla

I printed a $2.00 off Welch's Grape Juice a couple weeks ago but I can't remember where the link was posted. Hopefully some of you that buy this juice can find it.

      • Sylvia

I found that one on facebook

    • sonyapell

Oh, I also have a $2.00 off of Post Shredded Wheat, Grape Nuts, or Raisin Bran IP that I had to register for… I can't remember exactly where it came from, but it was a Post site. I think the link was e-mailed to me. Anyways, it makes for a free box of cereal this week!

I'm pretty psyched about this week. I've got $15 ECB's plus a 5/25 to use! Woot!

    • Guest

I can't get the Glade spray IP…it says “invalid parameters” when I try to print. Any suggestions, please?

      • smaks

I see $1 off Glade Spray in the SS 06/06, that would still make it free.

        • Sandra

That is for PREMIUM which costs more and CVS doesn’t even sell, it isn’t for the same item.

      • You have to fix the link. At the very end of teh link, you’ll see this: &email=
Put your email address on the end and it will print.

        • Ntoxk8n

Thanks! Fixing the link and putting in my email address worked!

        • Sandra

I don’t see it saying $email. I tried entering my email at the end, then deleting the last character, then the one after that and the one after that – nada.

    • Emhcoupon

The olay deal I think will be better at rite aid. If you look at their rebates there is one for $25 rebate when you buy $50 of certian skin products (olay regenerist is listed) and use your card and get a bonus $5 rebate. Pair this with olay $20 rebate and all is free. Be careful b/c in order to get rite aid rebate must be 50 in the listed products after all coupons. Just means you can get more stuff for free if you use coupons.

      • Susan

Not true–I've already done the RA deal, and my rebate cleared my SCR account, even though I spent about $5 on the $50 of items. The rebate booklet always says “after coupons,” but it's never true.

        • Emhcoupon

Thanks. I didn't know that. Makes it an even better deal. I'll make money now!!

    • ScottK

Hmm not much for me needed, I don't have to get diapers since I don't have a kid…but I did get an email for a $5 off $25 so I suppose with my other deals, only like 2 :( that I can find a way to get some free regular priced stuff.

      • kimana517

If you got the Huggies CVS Q, you could always spend the $4 on the box of diapers and either donate them or sell 'em for $10 on Craig's List.

        • Honeysmith

Or give them as a baby shower gift…

    • Reymannkids

      Will this work?

      Buy:
4 Olay Total Effects Body Washes $7 each
4 Ivory Body Washes or Bar Soap
      Use:
4 $4 off Olay Total Effects Body Wash
4 Free Ivory wyb Olay Total Effects Body Wash
Total Due: $12 (get back $7 EBC)

Makes all 8 items $5. Correct?

      • Christine

        Seems right to me.

      • carmen

that definitly works. see if you can get a $5/$25 to print @ the kiosk and it'll all be FREE after ECB's and Q's!

      • Patty

I noticed above in the Olay listing that it is limit 1– $2 ECB so if I am reading it correctly you will only get $2 back in ECB.

        • Sue

The deal on the Body Wash is $7 ECB's.

      • Reymannkids

Wahoo…. It worked. Got all 8 for $5. Didn't get the $5 off $25 at kiosk unfortunately, but I will still take it. Great deal! If this Total Effects Body Wash does all the things it claims, I should be looking like a 25 year old in a couple of weeks. LOL!

        • carrie

And it probably will if you're only 26. Though I would join you in making fun of product claims of youth!!

    • Abbie

I tried to do my shopping on Saturday evening last week. This has always worked for me before, but my store manager told me corporate has decided not to do that anymore. It was irritating, because I had already bought my Gillette body wash and the ECB's didn't print. He told me he couldn't do anything about that because of the memo from corporate. He also said if I returned them I would only get back the actual amount I paid, since I had used coupons. I guess I could have argued, but I've always done really well at that store and I've established a rapport with all the cashiers. So I just bit my tongue and considered it a lesson learned. I would recommend if you try to do your deals on Saturday you keep a close eye on how things are ringing up. Maybe you'll be luckier than me and your store will still let you double up.

      • LeAnnaShaw

My CVS quit doing it months ago-he said corporate was really coming down hard on them about it! Since I had never shopped sat night-it was no big deal to me, but I have been jealous and wondering why others keep doing it….lol! On the up side, my cvs is always well stocked w/ their sale items, and I rarely have had to get a raincheck!

        • no spend dad

CVS not being stocked up on sale items at my store really is frustrating. They know they gonna have a big sale on these things. Stock up. Glad your cvs stocks up

      • Michelle J

Well what really peeves me is they try to change out the sale stickers on everything so you never know just by looking if something's on sale or not. I think they should wait until closing to change out sale markers.

      • 3monkeysmom

Just wanted to chime in here: if you were to return the body wash, they're supposed to give you back the actual price of the item. Since they can't return the coupon to you b/c they already scanned it, they are supposed to give you back the value of the coupon. If you return it and they only give you back the amount you paid after the coupon, then you are “out” that coupon and they will be getting the $$ ( +8 cents handling) from the manufacturer :-(

        • I agree with 3 monkeys mom here – CVS is in the wrong if they don't give you the entire purchase price back. They are free to rescan your coupons with the refund purchase, and hand them back to you. They can also put the refund onto a gift card.

However, if the signs are up for the sale, they need to honor it. At my store, we turn on all the deals except the ones that print up ECB on Saturday. The signs for the ones we don't turn on, don't go up.

          • 3monkeysmom

I didn't know they could give the coupons back :-) I've always heard once they were scanned, they were in the system and couldn't be returned.
            Good to know…. :-)

            • Melissa

The correct way to refund when coupons are in involved–Cash or CC is returned in the amount of the Cash/CC actually paid, the coupons cannot be returned as cash, so that amount is supposed to be placed on a money card for in-store credit.

          • Abbieandpaul

I knew they should have returned the full amount. I've done that before with no problems. The cashier that rang me up was actually about to do that, but the manager got involved and told her she couldn't. I live in a very small town with only one CVS, so I didn't want to make a big fuss. I get along really well with all the cashiers, and they're all excited to see my deals. I figure since I always end up making money there I would rather take a hit that one time, than get one of my favorite cashiers in trouble and make them dread me walking in the door. I had a cranky baby with me too, so I just wanted to get out.

      • Calliemae24

My CVS cashier informed me of a little secret…….When you go to CVS on Saturday, scan the item in the red box; if the item “scans” as sell price you want, then it will print your ECB a day early…otherwise, don't buy.

      • Jbush27

I always shop on Saturdays and I was trying to get the Gillette body wash and some other sale items with ECBs and all of my ecbs printed except the body wash. I talked to the cashier and she explained that the body wash was already on sale that week for $3, and for the next week it was going to be $4 with ecbs, and that because of that the computer won't read 2 deals, it will only take the real weeks sale. And I asked if I shouldn't shop on Saturdays any more and she said that it was fine to do so, but that I have to start checking to see if the item is already on sale. So she voided everything out, gave me back my ecbs that I paid the items with, my coupons and the money I paid for tax. The only thing she couldn't do was take back the ecbs that I got for the razor I bought. She told me to keep them and use them when I came back the next day to buy the razor back. So really it all turned out fine.

        • Lazyleah78

I went last Saturday to get the body wash and it rang up $3 as well. I used a BOGO coupon and got two of them. The register did not print the ECB for it so the cashier made it manually give me the $4 ECB, so technically I made an extra dollar on the deal. We thought it was a limit 1 deal, so I just got the one $4 ECB even though I bought two. I looked on my Extracare account and didn't show anything about that transaction, so I decided to go back during the week to see if I could get the second $4 ECB that everyone said they were getting. So, I used the $4 ECB I got on Sat. to buy two more bodywashes with a BOGO coupon and paid .32 cents and got $8 ECBs back! That was a nice surprise for sure. The sale sign was out on the bodywash but apparently the computer was still using the current's weeks price instead of the next week's.

          • Siasdaviscoupons

The EXACT same thing happened to me! My cashier told me that on Saturday, whichever week’s price is better is the one that will ring up. So the $3 price was better than $4. Obviously, that doesn’t take ECBs into account. My cashier also gave me $4 ECBs manually, and I was also able to get two more BOGO and get the $8 ECBs, like you did!

      • Michelle

I asked before I purchased today and they said sure, at 6 the system turns over. They had removed the signs from this weeks sale and hadn't put up the new ones, so that is super frustrating. I asked for a circular for the new sale and they had to go to the back to get it for me. I was extra careful on getting the Colgate, even tried using the red box to scan (which did not work, by the way). Neither the toothpaste nor my Huggies rung up correctly. Now, they were super nice and hand keyed it all in but boy did the line back up and it was a little frustrating. And then I realized when I left that she scanned my $3 Huggies coupon as $1. $2 out and I probably should have gone back but c'est la vie!

    • madpaulmom

I REALLY need a deal on Loreal haircolor. These pesky browns keep getting in the way of my gray so I must give into the browns <wink>. I was hoping with the ECB's I have that a good deal would show up here. Oh well, maybe next week.

      • Michelle J

They're only $5.99 a box now at Target.

        • Michelle M

There's a really good deal on it at Rite Aid with in-ad Q stacked with manuf Q; plus get 2 UPs back. Makes it $2.99 after all is said and done!

    • cuhler

I did the Gillette ProGlide Deal the last 2 weeks can we do one each week or is it supposed to be just one deal for the whole month and done?

      • zombiemommy

I tried doing it this week and I didn't get my ecb's. Its the same deal from the past 2 weeks…

(I did it twice 2 weeks ago).

    • Laurascoupon

Will this work for the Nivea??
      buy 2 @ 4.99
      use B1G1 AND a $4 off 2??
      Total due 99 for 2??

      • kimana517

You can't use both of those coupons to only buy two products because the $4/2 overlaps with the B1G1. In order to use both coupons you would have to buy 3 products. HTH.

      • Stalcup1978

I got 4 body washes a couple of weeks ago and used 2 b1g1 and a $4 off 2 and a $3 off 2. It worked just fine for me. Be sure you use the $ off coupons first.

    • coupon king

      here is a great deal:

Buy: (4) Olay total effects body wash -$7 each
      (4) Ivory body wash, bar soap or hand soap.

      (4) $4 off 1 olay body wash
      (4) B1 Olay body wash G1 body wash, bar soap or hand soap.

      Pay OOP: $7.00 + tax
      Get: $7.00 RR

      makes all 8 FREE!

      • Sue

Sounds like a great plan. Wish I had 4 of each Q.

      • jhoran

Yes, except that it doesn’t qualify for the condenast rebate – buy 30.00, get 12.00 , falling short of 2.00. If I had known about it before, I would have added in the pantene. Oh well, win some, lose some!

        • Sue

          What rebate is this?

    • dccobb

I don't get coupons that print out on my receipt nor do I ever get $5 off of $20 (or any others like this). I have registered my EC card online, but only get emails for coupons if I buy online. What am I doing wrong?

      • june

I've got the same problem. I only get the 1 or 2 coupons everyone gets. It's supposed to be all in what you buy. I used to go in every other day, but I've cut it back to once a week. If that doesn't do something, then I guess they want me to spend more money, but Walgreen's is right across the street…… ;)

        • Tallahassee Lassie

I called corporate when the default setting of not getting emails kept showing up. Whenever I would log back in after changing it, it again said that I wasn’t getting emails. After calling corporate twice, I finally got it fixed but have only gotten 2 emails with $ off coupons to use in the store since.

I also got a $4/20 coupon at the redbox today. I’d go by and give it a try.

      • happymom

Jenny did a post about this a couple of weeks ago… go online to your CVS account and make sure you are signed up to receive emails. Apparently some people realized that their email status had changed. I had not gotten a coupon via email for months, so I checked my status- I was still signed up but decided to “unregister” my card. Went back and “registered” my card and now I get an email every week! HTH!

        • Dingram4

I did that, and still got nothing in my email…

          • kimana517

Same here. I've unregistered and reregistered a few times, hoping this time it will work, and nothing. I haven't gotten an emailed coupon in probably a year now.

      • gjenkins

Had the same issue last night. Oop higher than expected, bcz receipts w ecb's didn't print until after the transaction ended, that happened twice. Then last two transactions the ecbs didn't print on receipt and cashier had to manually print them for me, but my money was spent. Still new to CVS and had other issues I need advice on:

        1) Hubby and I transferred prescriptions to cvs on 6/18 and rec'd 3 day coupon for 10% off purchases that expires 6/22. Tried to use it several times last night, no luck. We're getting the 4% back on purchases hubby has diabetes and I'm using extra care/caremark card. Don't know if that matters.

        2) Coupon dispenser at my neighborhood store has been out of paper for about a week, no coupons there

        3) Just found 2 coupons for $25 gift card with prescription trnsfr that expired on the 13th, my doctors appt was on the 17th. can i go back and ask for cards?

Ran 3 scenarios as written without $6 huggies q, hoping 10% off q would work. No luck. Stocked up on other $1 products and 10% q still didn't work. Miscalculated oop, closer to $30+, flustered last night cashier was extremely helpful but pregnant and our transactions w/interruptions took over 20 minutes right before store closed last night.

        How do I fix this?

        • Lacasa99

Tryed to use my 10% off today and was informed that it DID NOT work on sale items….so that explains the no workie on huggies.

          : (

    • Buy
      1 Huggies Big Box $19.99
      2 Colgate Total toothpaste $2.99

      Use
      $3/1 Huggies
-(2) $1/1 Colgate Total Advanced Whitening, Total Enamel Strength, Total Advanced Clean or Total Advanced Fresh Toothpaste, 4oz+ SS 6/6
      -$5/$25 CVS Purchase

Total OOP: $15.97 earn $14 ECB
like paying $1.97 for everything! That's some cheap diapers!

      • Michelle

That is going to be my exact transaction too, love it! Except I don't have the $5 off $25
:( I never get the dollars off ones anymore…glad I read your post because I didn't notice that the limit is 2 (instead of 1) on the Colgate-thanks!

    • Uncalum1

      There's a $2 off coupon for Bioluxe in CVS's in-store coupons. Exp. 6/30.

    • Kellyowens01

I noticed on the Pantene listing that you were using two coupons. If you have a $1/2 can you also use a regular .75 off coupons too at the same time? Just wondering. Any info would help – thanks.

      • Patty

Jenny is only using one coupon on the Pantene deal. She just lists two coupons showing us what coupons are available (out there) for each product listed. It gives us an idea of what coupons are out there then we look through our clippings/inserts to see what coupons we have for that item. She lists both coupons so we know which coupon would give us the best deal on the product (the most money off/making the product the cheapest out of pocket cost). Based on what coupons you have for that product allows you to make a wise decision on which one to use or not use. You can only use two coupons together if one coupon is a CVS store coupon and the other coupon is a manufacturers coupon. Hope this helps.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

If you use $1/2 Q on only two items purchased, then you can not use another manuf Q. such as .75/1. $1/2 attaches to two items and therefore, no more Q.s can be credited to those two items. However, you might wanna use two .75/1 Qs (if you have extra) because it will give you more benefits $1.50 off insetad of $1 off.

    • Sarah

Anyone know of a zip code to get the Welch's Grape Juice coupon?
      Thanks

    • Deanna

The Nestle Pure Life water is listed at $2.77. When I look at the add it says $3.49. Does anyone know why? I think the add said $2.77 earlier this week when I was working on deals.

      • Jnjtaxi

The ad in Birmingham Al says 2.77

    • Funsavings

Can i get raincheck for any ECB deal of this week which store was off the stock? how does it work? Also can i buy milk with EBS?

      • Patty

yes, you can get a raincheck for ECB deals that are out of stock. As the cashier and she/he will issue you one. They write on it the price and ECB's that would be earned. The following week you can go in and get the product if they have it in stock and give the cashier the raincheck. She/he will adjust the price for you and you will get an ECB receipt. You can buy anything in the store with ECB except prescriptions, alcohol, and tobacco.

        • Funsavings

          thank u so much patty!

    • RLeBlanc

I went to my local non-24-hour CVS last Saturday evening to get the Sunday deals (was going to be too busy to get there Sunday) and one of my favorite cashiers told me that their store no longer ran both sales on Saturday…This was the first week for their store and she did try to ring up my stuff just to see. She said that they had to read an email and sign it regarding this. Just FYI – could be happening other places but in Baton Rouge Louisiana it is…

      • Faithshea

My mother in law works for CVS in North Carolina. After reading this comment I asked her if that was true in her stores. She said this took place for them about 2 or 3 weeks ago. The new ad prices are activated later in the evening now. :(

    • macboy

The Maxwell House Coffee Coupon ($1 off is actually $1 off 2 cans) unless the coupon varies by area.

      • Yes, there was a regional difference. Some people got $1/1 and some got $1/2.

    • Avsextras

Can i use $ off $ Q ans a cvs Q in the same transaction? pls help

      • Scoutmom316

Yes, but you can't use two $ off $$. CVS Qs for $ off a specific product will work with the others.

        • Avsextras

          thanx :)

        • sonyapell

          I've used two $3/$15 on a $30 trx before.

    • Samplesfun

Does CVS accept coupons for FREE items?

      • depends on the store, but usually if it is for $5 or less.

      • Julie

Never had an issue with a FREE coupon, though I stick to the ones I get from manufacturers directly. I've never tried an IP free coupon.

    • Rosie from FL

I had the best deal in CVS ever. Patrick the manager said they accept ALL competitors coupond. They had General Mill cereals. Buy 3 for $10 Get $4EBC. I had a $4 in 4 Alberstos coupons. Then I use 4 $.55 manufacture coupons. Total was $13.34-$4 (Albertson)-$2.20 Competitors= $7.74- I had some EBC from before. I got it for $0 and got $4 for next time. Total after saving $.78c a box. I also went to Publix with the buy one get two St. Louis Spare ribs and Pork Loin. My Publix took them. I got meat..for some time now. I spent $87.50 and save $151.50

    • sgarrett

The Facebook link to the $2 off Welch’s Grape Juice is http://www.facebook.com/welchsgrapes?v=app_129439533733942

    • Drgnlnce2003

The CVS I shop has a lot of pantene products 50% OFF. Not sure if they would work with the extra care bucks deal or not though since they are on clearance. They also had Oil of Olay Definity products 75% off, and I had two $3 coupons. So I grabbed two of the moisturerizers for $4.49 each, used some extra care bucks and paid $1.88 for BOTH of them. Would have normally cost $59.98 plus tax. SCORE!

    • sayaja

it's the nestle pure life water at every where else $2.77??? because in the add it show $3.49, if anybody know where 2.77 price listing, thx

      • Julie

Good question. It's still not a BAD deal at $3.49 with $1 off for 24 bottles…. but it's a much better deal at $2.77…

      • Abbie

My CVS had Nestle water for $2.77. Take it over and scan on the coupon printer just to make sure. That's what I did. By the way, Deer Park water is $2.88 next week for the July 4th sale. Yay for bottled water!

    • Davisamy74

Interesting there is a size 6 box in the ad for the huggies, but none of the CVS's in Mt. Pleasant carry them.

      • Marina115

I have the same problem in woodstock, GA! I think it may be a sign for Potty Training time! :)

    • Qwertyemily

The Simply Asia coupons say they are redeemable only at Whole Foods. Will they still work?

    • SusanL

      GREAT CVS shopping here!
      64 ct. Huggies ($19.99 w/ $10 ECB),
      2 Colgate Total ($2.99 w/2 ECB)
2 powerbars (.99 ea and .99 ECB each)
      Used:
      $5 off of $25
      2 -$1.00 off Colgate coupons
$3.00 off Huggies CVS receipt coupon
      $1.00 little movers manufacturer coupon
      17 ECB
PAID OUT OF POCKET $1.28!!! and got back 16 of the 17 ECB ;) I love it…I don't even have kids but my sister in law will use these!

    • Susan

Just out of curiosity, how much do you normally keep in ECB's? Do most people try to carry as few as possible or do you roll them? I can't wrap my mind around which I'd rather do. I don't care for how Rite Aid or Walgreens do their rewards stuff, so CVS is the only drug store I mess with.

      • Tonya

I roll mine every week. I call it “laundering” them. :) I have anywhere from $15-$20 and never try to spend more than $2-$3 of my own money a week. This means I usually get $15-$20 worth of free stuff weekly. You may not always have to use all of them…but CVS gives you a big expiration date. And remember…most CVS's will take expired bucks.

      • Julie

Depends on the week. I usually try to roll them every week and also not spend more than $5 OOP, but there are some weeks when there are just no deals that interest me (one can only have so much toothpaste!) and I'll save mine for the next sale. I tend to have anywhere from $2 to $10. If I do a lot of transactions in one week I'll tend to end with fewer ECBs than if I just do a couple of good deals.

      • Jen

I tend to do just one transaction (and therefore I end up keeping more ECB's). My main reason for this is b/c I keep getting emails for $5 off 30 or $5 off 40, so I need to “spend” that much in one transaction to be able to use that. Even so, I've found that I've only had ECB's expire once, and even then the cashier was gracious enough to still take it. I usually end up spending about $2 OOP.

        • Jtorr14

I was wondering if you or someone else could tell me how to get the $5 off $30 coupons. The only ones' I have gotten has been the one for $4 off $20 or $3 off $15. Actually, I am used to getting the $3 off $15 each time I make a purchase but the other day my receipt didn't print any except for the 10% off.

      • ScottK

I used to use all my ECBs left because I didn't have as many, but now I'm back stocked about $40 worth of them so I'm going to be buying more just to use them….Like today I used about $10 worth, but only got back $4. I spent 83 cents out of pocket…it was great…and this week wasn't even a good week for gaining ECBs, I just got necessities that never go on sale and a few sales items like tooth paste…

    • Rachelandtyke

Anyone get a 10% off coupon at the redbox? I tried to use it on a $30+ order and it only took off $0.31 or something ridiculous like that. Was it in the machine wrong or did my items not qualify? The cashier had no clue. I don't know why I didn't ask to speak with a manager . . .

      • Lacasa99

Had that coupon print tonight….I wonder if that has to be scanned 1st before anything else to get the most $$$ off or if computer automatically takes the smallest total?

        • JennyW

The 10% off coupon is applied after all other discounts have been applied….

      • parker

The 10% off is only valid on regular price items, not sale stuff.

      • Bersingerj

The 10% off coupon is applied after all other discounts have been applied….

    • Lacasa99

Got emailed $5 off $25 and used it, hubby was going to delete and I said “see if it will pring again.” So I printed a second one but have no idea if this will work again? Has anyone tried to reprint and been sucessful after one use. I imagine since it's linked to card it will not work….?

      • Htk10210

Unfortunately, you can only use the coupon once. I tried to use coupon multiple times in the past and it said invalid card.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Such Qs can be only used once. If you try to use the seocnd time, register will also tell what date it was already used up.

    • ashley

Just got back from CVS this is how I did:
      2 Pantene shampoos
      2 Glade sprays
      1 Colgate toothpaste
      1 Huggies
      1 Lays chips
      1 Mountain Dew
      1 Sunday paper

      coupons used:
      $5/20
      $1.50-Pantene
      $1.00-Pantene
      $1.00-Colgate
      $3.00 CVS Huggies CRT
      $3.00 Huggies diapers Man Q
      2 $1.00 Glade spray
      $21 ECB

Total oop was $1.83 got back $14 ECB.

There was a tag up in the cooler where I got the mountain dew that said if I bought the mountain dew and lays chips I would get $1 ECB back but didnt get it. I might had misread it, I also looked thru the ad and didn't see anything about this deal. Maybe it was from last week and they forgot to take the tag down. I didn't realize it until I got home that the ECB didnt print. Does anyone know about this deal?? Thanks!

      • If they still have the tag up, they need to honor the sale. That was last week's deal – but if they didn't take down all their tags, they need to honor the deals that are still up.

That being said, I don't know how far you'll get with that since you've already left. Good luck!

    • Emily

CVS was awesome again! At the redbox I got a $4 off 20 dollar purchase (better than my 5 dollars off 25 in my email). They were out of proglide fusion razors but let me grab any razor I wanted and gave me the 5 extra bucks AND let me use my 4 dollar off proglide coupon, instead of having me come back tomorrow when they restock.

    • Jtorr14

Can anybody share how to get the $5 off $20 coupon? I always get $3 off $15 but this last trip the receipt didn't print this coupon. Not sure if there is a limit or what.

      • ashley

The $5/20 coupons get emailed to you. go to cvs.com and sign up to receive their newsletters.

    • Susi

seems the power bar deal has a higher limit then 2 – don't know what it is, but I'll be buying more :)

      • Tina M

Thanks for sharing this! I bought 2 this AM, but hadn't looked at my receipt. It still shows 1 under quantity needed to earn reward.

      • Patty

I think it is 3 since at the bottom of my receipt it states: Power bar buy 1 get .99 ECB. Quantity toward this reward 2, quantity needed to earn reward 1. I believe that because I bought 1 Colgate Toothpaste and it states quantity toward this reward 1, quantity needed to earn reward 1, earn care buck earned $2 and the limit in the the ad for this is 2.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

        limit on Powrbar is 3

Right, it is 3. But I'm thinking it's a month long deal because when we bought 1, it said limit reached. The manager gave the ECBs for the other one we bought, but in thinking on it, we had bought 2 several weeks ago when they were free. hth

    • Dingram4

      Okay…Can't print out the glade…..Frustrating!

    • Maddy

Are we allowed to give away our ECBs? My daughter lives halfway across the country from me, and it would be cheaper just to send her the ECBs to buy diapers than to mail the ones I buy her.

      • DonnaTN

No, because they are matched to your card, unless you sent her your card with them.

      • Frbnewt

Usually you have more than one card given to you when you sign up. If you still have an extra, you can send one to her and she will be able to use it with your ECB's.

        • Maddy

That's a good idea. My card is old, old. I need to change my address. I wonder if I could get an extra card then.

      • Brandi92279

You could send her your ecb's and she can give the clerk your telephone number to use them. Any additional ecb's she receives from your card have to be used with your card number. It is kind of a pain but I do it with my mom on really good deals. The good thing is that your name prints out on each ECB so she can keep up with hers vs. yours.

        • Maddy

Great. I figured it was linked to my card. Thanks.

          • ScottK

why not just mail her one of your cards? then she can use your card and your ecbs without any questions ;)

    • Lucy

Conde Nast is offering either a free subscription to a magazine or a $12 refund value for a $30 purchase of Olay, CoverGirl, Pantene, Secret or Venus purchases. With the Olay deal at CVS this week you could purchase 5 of the $7 Total Effects Body Wash, use 5 of the $4 off coupons and use 5 of the free Ivory wyb Total Efects Body Wash. You’d pay $35 (Total Effects BW) + $14.95 (Ivory)- $20 (TE coupons) – $14.95(Ivory coupons) – $4/$20 CVS coupon (which most folks are receiving at the coupon scanner today) and receive a $7 ECB. You’d basically pay $4 for all of the Total Effects BW and Ivory soap and then receive a $12 refund from Conde Nast. It’s a $8 MM.

The purchase has to be made by 6/30 and form can be found here: http://www.condenastdirect.com/PGPromotion/

      • Danielle

        Thank you, Lucy!

      • jhoran

Thank you for posting that info. I noticed that you can only put in one purchase date on the form, so am I right to assume that it has to be done in one transaction?

    • mamaC

This morning I went to CVS and the big box of Huggies were not on sale and didn't see them in the ad, am I missing something?

      • Amy J.

I'm not sure where you live, mamaC, but I live in Southeast Georgia and the Huggies deal is in my CVS ad on the back page (last page) in the upper right-hand corner….it's for the Snug & Dry OR the Little Movers….56-96 count boxes. HTH

one of my local CVS stores rarely has all of their weekly sales tags posted on the shelves, but my other CVS has them all posted on Sunday morning. Not sure if this is the case w/ your CVS or not, but thought I'd mention it. HTH too!

        • mamaC

Thank you! I just went back at got the Huggies! This morning they did not yet have the tag up and when I looked in a flyer they had hanging close by they didn't have the last pages. I'm new to couponing, so I am thankful for all this help!

          • Amy J.

You're very welcome! Great, I'm glad u got the Huggies!
Welcome to the world of extreme couponing….for me, it's quite the addiction!

    • Amy J.

Had a TERRIFIC trip to CVS this morning! Probably my best “large” trip ever!

I'll list everything out and hope this helps someone. Don't forget to check the clearance section…..i usually do and rarely find anything, but today i was fortunate to find several things! (remember, some stores clearance different items than others do, even if in the same area……both of my local cvs stores rarely have the same products on clearance).
I probably would have done much better had i not bought the marked down make-up items, but was rather hard to pass up since a couple of the q's were to expire soon anyway……LOL!

total before sales and coupons $122.61 (not including tax)…..
paid OOP before tax $11.26……including tax = paid $15.46 :-)
      saved about 90%!

      here's what i bought
      2 Glade air fresheners
      1 Almay blush (75% off)
      1 Covergirl mascara (50% off)
1 Loreal lip color (75% off)
      2 Colgate Total
      4 Olay TE BW
      3 “OFF” clip-on refills
      1 GreenWorks all-purpose cleaner (clearance 99cents)
      1 K-Y Touch 2-in-1 (clearance $3.85)
2 Scotch Tape desk pop-up dispensers (clearance $1.25 each)
      1 Tampax multi-pack 40 count (clearance $1.75)

      Q's used:
      $4 off $20+
      1-Glade b1g1
      1-$1 Almay
      1-$ CoverGirl
      1-$1 Loreal
      2-$1 Colgate Total
      4-$4 Olay TE BW
      3-$3 Off clip-on products
      1- 75cents Green Works
      1-$2 K-Y product
      2-$1 Scotch pop-up desk dispenser
      1-$1 Tampax
and used $12 in ECB's and GOT BACK $11 ECB's!!
Hope this helps someone plan their trip this week.

      • kristy

WOW! Great Job. I have $16 in ECB so I am planning to go in just a few minutes. Hope I do as well as you did :)

        • Amy J.

Thanks, Kristy……please let us know how you did!

    • Shannon

I have a dumb question. At CVS are there usually limits in place to how many of something you can get that is not only on special but that also comes with ECB's? I bought a box of cvs “Tylenol” that came with 3 ECB's. I decided to go back and buy more boxes since it it would have basically made each box a buck a piece. I did not get the ECB's and on my receipt it said my limit had been reached. I immediately went back into the store and got a refund.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

There is always a limit on ECBs you can get, usually 2, some go up to 5. In most such cases, you can still get the sale price, if they are on reduced price, but wont print ECBs once limit reached. Limit on each product can be seen in ads.

In some cases, there is also a limit on sale price items you can get even if they are not on ECBs at all. For example, Sobe water b1g1 free sale did not have any ECB offer, but the limit was 6.

        • ADJ

It seems like lately the limit has been 1 ALOT of most ECB deals. Has anyone else noticed that?

    • Another Kim

I just have a general question…on the items that are listed as “mix and match” 10 for $10 at CVS – do you have to buy 10 of them or can you just buy one or two for $1 each? I know Kroger and Publix let you do this, but wasn't sure about CVS policy. I'm hoping to get some free Dawn and Cheezits if I can use my $1/1 Qs for them this week. TIA!

      • Patty

        Hey Kim,

On the mix and match `10 for $10 you can buy the items individually and they will ring up $1.00 each. I bought one can of glade and got it for a dollar then used a dollar coupon to make it free. Go score yourself some free Dawn. Just check your receipt before leaving to make sure it rang up at $1.00; you can also scan it in the red kiosk scanner to check the price before buying it.

        • Wow that is fantastic to know. I did not know you could scan an item at the kiosk and find out the price! Thanks Patty.

        • Sandra

You used the printed one correct? The 6/6 isn't for the same item, it says on the coupon.

    • Eudycoupons

I bought 2 of the PowerBars today and it did not give me the ECBs. Receipt says that I had already reached the offer limit of 3. I guess this is from the same deal from a few weeks ago? I started to ask the cashier but she appeared to not be in the mood to deal with it. Still got some great deals though.

    • WynetteC

I am liking that CVS has surprised me with $$ off $$ coupons within the past two weeks at their scanner machine inside the store. It has been ages since I can remember getting these but here recently they have been big. Last week or before I went in on a Sunday and received from the red box machine a $5 off $15 for 3 days only!!! The next night went back to buy something else and got $2 bonus extra care bucks for just scanning the card at the box. And then yesterday I scanned my card and got $4 off $20 purchase for 3 days only. So I want to say I am happily surprised at these surprise deals and I am once again a very happy CVS shopper.

      • guest

Lucky! I went today, and the machine wasn't even working. :(

        • Amy J.

Red machine out of service…..That's happened to me a few times, and it is a bit irritating. Yesterday my coupon 'printed' (i heard it) but no paper came out…….i looked and i could see a tiny bit of one corner sticking out……good thing i've got long fingernails right now……took me a couple of minutes, but doggone it, I got that coupon outa there…LOL!…and thank God, b/c it was a $4/$20!!!

    • I bought 4 Olay Total Effects Body Wash for $7 totaling $28.00. I had 1 $4 off $20 from CVS and 4 $4.00 off 1 Olay Total Effects Body Wash. (I also used the buy Olay Total Effects Body wash and get Ivory Soap FREE! — 4 of them). I paid a Total of $7.49 and got back $7.00 ECB. I paid $.49 for 4 body washes and 4 3packs of Ivory soap. Thank you Jenny, you have seriously opened my eyes to the bargains out there…and you have made me realize patience is money in the bank! My husband also enjoys doing this as well. I think he's hooked.

      • Lucy

In a post a little bit down the page, I linked to a $12 refund offer from Conde Nast magazine for the purchase of $30 worth of Olay and/or other products like CoverGirl, Pantene, etc. You'll make $$ on the deal when you send in for the offer.

      • Pegg

I went to 4 CVS's looking for the Olay Total Effects…most had none….One store had 3 not enough for the transaction to reach 27$ and earn EB….NO Luck in PA

    • kristy

Scanned my CVS card upon arriving @ the store, and got $2 off Bounty paper towels. I was already planning to buy these & had my $1 off coupon from P & G mail-in. SO I bought 4 boxes of the Post Fruity Pebbles @ $1.88 each & the 8 pack of paper towels. The total was around $8 so I used the coupons, & $6 ECB from the Nivea bodywash last week & pd $2 OPP. YAY!!!

      • ScottK

Isn't that amazing? I love when the coupon machine increases what I already had planned to save. On the rare $5 off $25 prints, I almost shout YESSSSSS at the coupon machine…employees probably get a good laugh!

    • Kristy

I also bought the Olay Total Effects Moisturizer & body wash. Had a coupon from Parade (couple of weeks ago) for Buy moisturizer and get bw free. Used this which made total $19. Used $11 ECB & pd $8 OPP.

      • Kristy

        AND got $7 in ECB.

    • ScottK

I did good considering what I got and what I needed and could use in deals.

      1 SLIP N SLIDE reg 12.99 @ 25% off
1 pack of gum (to bring up my total)
      2 gallons of milk
      2 colgate tooth paste

      total just over $25

      $5 off $25
      -$2 colgate
-$18 ECB (I've got SO MANY this didn't hurt at all!)

      total paid: 83 cents
      ECB back: $4

    • ADJ

I haven't read through all the comments, so I don't know if everyone knows this already, but I found 2 $3 off Pullups coupons in the big box of Huggies!

At first I was a little bummed because I only had a $1.50 off coupon to buy the big box, but the pullups coupons def make up for it!

      • Patty

I was wondering were you found the $3.00 off pull-ups coupon because I bought a bix box of Huggies and didn't find any in mine. Just wanted to make sure I didn't overlook anything. thanks

    • Tyler(College Student)

Anyone have a newer glade coupon link? I've tried two different computers and it won't let me print the one listed here. Thanks!

      • Sandra

same here. The 6/6 coupon is for the PREMIUM spray which costs about 33% more and is NOT part of the sale. CVS doesn't even carry them.

    • Judytevis

A quick trip right at closing so I did not have much time, but I still did really good.

      1 Box of Huggies
      1 Pantene Shampoo
      1 Pantene Conditioner

      Total $28.30

      – $5 off $25
      – $8 EC Bucks
      – $3 CVS Coupon on Huggies
      – $3 Huggies Mfg Coupon
      – $1 Coupon on 2 Pantene Products

      Total Paid $8.31
      ECB Back $12.00

    • Wdwnut

I know this has been discussed before, I just can't find the answer. I received an email for $5 off a $25 purchase that expired Sunday. I was unable to use it until today. Can/Will a store override the expiration?

      • AH

Some stores will and some will not. You can at least ask.

      • Peggy in PA

went to cvs for my sister I brought her card and her 5 off 25 Q (from an email) as i was standing in line for the transaction I noticed it said “valid thru” (it was blank). The directions say you can print in black and white. If you do the Red expiration date doesn't print. The checker did override.

    • kate

Not sure if someone has posted this deal already, but I didn't see it listed in this week's cvs ad. Yesterday my cvs had the Air Wick I Motion, regularly $9.99, on sale for $4.99. I had a $4.00 I Motion coupon for a previous sunday paper, but I also saw that this week's paper included a $4.00 I Motion coupon. So I was able to get this for 99¢. Here are some ways to use this great deal…

      Buy:
      (6) Air Wick I Motion $4.99 each

      Use:
      $5/$25 purchase cvs coupon
      (6) $4 I Motion coupon

      Total Due:94¢

      Another deal

      Buy:
      (1) Huggies Snug & Dry Daipers box $19.99
      (2) Air Wick I Motion $4.99

      Use:
      $5/$25 purchase
      $3 huggies coupon
      (2) $4 I Motion coupon

      Total Due: $13.97
      Get Back: $10 ECB

      • Ash

I can't believe that your CVS had 6 air wick i Motions in stock. I have never seen a CVS with more than 4 or maybe 5 of these on the shelf.

    • Becky

At my CVS, the Power Bar Pure & Simple had a limit of 3 on the tag next to the product. I bought 3 and got $2.97 in ECB.

    • Jennifer

Has anybody checked the Greenville stores to see if they still have the boxes of Huggies? I am heading that way soon!

    • Sonshine

You can make money if you use the Pure Power Bar coupons prainted from red plum.

      • mschlich

what zip code are they under?

        • Sherylyn4

i used 35068 but u dont see how u make money

          • 3monkeysmom

You're right, not a moneymaker. The coupons are for the Pure Protein, not the Pure and Simple, which are the ones FREE after ECB.
Not sure if the Pure Protein is included in the buy 8/ get $5 ECB deal, but if they are, and you could print 4 of those coupons, after ECB, it should make it $1 for all 8.

          • 3monkeysmom

Actually now that I'm looking at it more closely, I don't think the Pure Protein coupons are the PowerBar brand….I was looking at my Sunday inserts and there is a coupon for Pure Protein and they aren't made by PowerBar. Is there an actual PowerBar coupon that I'm missing???

    • Nancy

Glade Spray- I am only seeing the Glade q in SS 6/06 for the premium spray. Does this q work for the $1 Glade Spray?

      • Patty

Yes it works. I used it on Sunday with no problem.

        • Sandra

It shouldn't its not the same spray – CVS doesn't even sell the premium spray. I'm surprised it didn't beep.

    • Melissa

I hope my scanner spits out something fun this week – a $5 off a $25 would be great! Just getting crummy ones lately….:o(

    • I am so excited about my CVS trip! I bought

      1 box of Huggies $19.99
      4 Glade sprays $4
      Total with tax $25.10

      $5/$25 Rite Aid Coupon
      $3 Off Huggies
      (2) BOGO Glade Coupons
      $4 ECBs
      $4 ECBs
$4.29 off a money card, which was actually credit from when 1 CVS refused to let me use a $5 off $25 + my coupons. I went back and they fixed it for me :)
      TOTAL OP= $2.81
      Earned $10 ECBs

I asked the cashier if they accept Rite Qs and she said they do. I wanted to go get and item to make up the difference for the sub total to use the $5 off $25, but she told me she would take it as it stands :) Also, this CVS does not require you to have the same amount of Qs as you have items.

      • Kaseyelisabeth

Kristen, which CVS did you shop at.. just curious to know which one may take RITE AID Q's.. :) Thanks! I live in SC!

        • I shop at the CVS in Monroe GA. The one in Loganville GA will not take them, but since Rite Aid is in Monroe that CVS in Monroe will take it. It made me very happy. I have been getting some lousy coupons spitting out at the red coupon machine lately!

    • Avsextras

hiee…can someone please tell me when you submit for SC jhonson rebate is it supposed to be 3 products in 1 transaction or it can be 3 products bought in 3 different transactions?

      • ClaraL

it can be in different transactions you just have to send in all the receipts with product prices circled.

    • ClaraL

Ok So I am loving my 24 hr CVS I was in there Saturday around noon and noticed that the next weeks sales stickers were turned around. I mentioned that to the CSR and she said that they activate the upcomming sales around noon on Saturday and you can actually get the current weeks sales and the next weeks sales the same day I was like WOW Cool!! Not all the CVS's here do that but the 24hr one does and that just became my only CVS to shop at so it was a good day! Got $30 worth of stuff spent about $5 or $6 OOP and walked out with $9 in ECB's!!!!

      • DonnaTN

Yeah, most all 24hr stores do that and sometimes a regular store may do that but it just depends.

    • Marsha

You are awesome!! I am fairly new to couponing and yor site rocks

    • The coupon machine has given me 2 coupons for $1 off an allergy product. Has anyone used this yet? I was wondering if the pocket tissues counted. I do not use allergy medicine.

      • Anna

yes you can use them on the $1.00 hypo allerg wipes

        • Kimboone123

Where are these hypo allerg wipes located in the store? What are they near? I'd love to use these in holiday boxes I send. Thanks for your help!

      • Paige

My one CVS let me use the coupon on the pocket tissues and then I went to another one and tried to do the same thing, but she said it wasn't an allergy medicene/product. I would ask first!

      • I am preggo and can't use the allergy medicine. I asked the cashier about the tissues qualifing and she said she was unsure, but we can try it. It did work to use it on the 2/.99 CVS pocket tissues.

    • Valerie

I bought 2 of the Sears gift cards last week in the same transaction, so I have one $20 ECB… will they split this or do I need to plan on spending $20 after all coupons are applied?? I am doing the Huggies deal, but with all the great coupons, they will only be $4.99!

      • toni

Gotta spend it all at once.

        • Valerie S.

Yikes! I was afraid of that… Oh well, I guess we will stock up on items that don't go on sale very often. Thanks!

    • Marie

I can't find the zegerid otc -$12.99 off Zegerid OTC, SS 6/20 (mail in rebate)
or the $4 off Zegerid OTC, SS 6/20. Is this a regional thing? I got the SS in Florida. Is it in the Georgia SS?

    • Angie

I usually love my CVS, however, my normal girls were not there. I had a very mean, jealous cashier. I purchased a pantene shampoo and conditioner. I had (2) $2 off 2 pantene product coupons. She said she could only take one. I just said ok. She then proceeded to tell me that CVS was coming down on “couponers”. That my purchase wasn't too bad but some people came in with so many coupons they didn't pay anything. She thought it was ridiculous that we could do that. Then in the next breath she let her true colors (and jealousy) show. She said that last week she bought a couple papers and just hadn't gotten around to clipping the coupons.

I felt like saying don't hate couponers because you are too lazy to organize and save money!! I just could not believe she would say something like that to a person who is obviously a couponer. I purchased $58 of stuff for $15 and left with $8.

I did learn a valuable lesson, if my girls aren't there, wait to shop!!

      • ireneY

Yikes! You should say something to management. I finally got fed up last night with extreme scrutiny by a particular cashier at Publix. She stares at all my coupons for literally minutes to find any reason to reject them. Meanwhile, the line is backing up. She leaves her station to call the manager over three — count them — three times to point out possible discrepancies. He says each time there is nothing wrong with my usage, but she's not satisfied. I could hear her mutter something about getting the items for free. I finally said “why do you always give me trouble?” She said she hasn't seen me before today. I told her I've seen her many times. All this is in front of the manager. He apologized profusely and seemed sincere. I told him everything is fine, but I was still so upset, I couldn't even look at the cashier. Sorry to vent, but I'm sure things would be a little different at her lane next time.

        • Duyyyt

It is our job, at CVS, to check the coupons. If there is anything wrong with them, the manufacturers will not take them. There are a lot of fraudulant coupons out there as well.

          • IreneY

Can you tell us what you're looking for when your system is pretty iron clad? My experience was at Publix with non IPs, but I'm sure your experience still applies. The Publix cashier acted like the coupon will be taken out of her paycheck.

      • Sue

I hate that you had that experience. Fortunately, I frequent 2 stores that are great. But I do not understand. Did you say say you were buying 2 products and wanted to use 2 “$2 off 2” coupons, or did you mis-type? If you were using 2 coupons which each stated “Save $2 on 2 Pantene products”, then the cashier was correct. You can not legitimately use 2 of them on just 2 products. You would have to buy 4 to use them. Please forgive me if I misunderstood your post.

    • Avsextras

hiee…I am new to CVS can someone pls tell me how do i get 2% cash back? and jenny thank u soooooooooo much for everything! luv this site!

      • Amanda

2% cash back is printed on your receipt at the end of each quarter…I think the quarters are spring, summer, fall, winter, etc. Not sure exactly of the dates, but if you go online & register your card, I think you can see the dates. Anyhow, you will get an Extra Buck for the 2% amount. Hope that helps!

        • Avsextras

          thanx a lot! :)

    • Amber8279

There is a Dr. Scholls 3.00 off coupon on the May All You Magazine.

    • Tlwefuqua

I am heading to the beach this weekend, so I headed to CVS for sunscreen. I bought 2 of the Hawaiian Tropic Sunscreens for $9.99 each ($19.98 total). I had a $3.00 off of $15.00 sun care coupon that had printed on my receipt a couple of weeks ago. I used that Q and $7.00 ECB. I got $10.00 ECB back. So, FREE sunscreen for me!

      • Grace

I tried that sunscreen and it is sooooo sticky…my husband couldn't wait to get home to wash it off…..from now on I am sticking with coppertone and banana boat. But I still love their tannining oils :)

    • Shelley

Quick question that I'm sure someone will know the answer to :) If I buy the Olay Moisturizer at $20 and the Total Effect Body Wash at $7 to get the $7 ECB can I use a buy the moisturize get the body wash free coupon, the $1 off moisturizer coupon AND the $4 off body wash coupon or do the number of coupons have to match up with the number of products??

Yes, coupons must match up to one MQ per product. So, take out the $1 and you will be set.

      • Hi Shelley, Good question. However I'm afraid you can't use the $4 body wash coupon because that would be considered using 2 mfg coupons on the same item which is not allowed. Plus I'm sure you would get that dreaded 'beep' from the register(which we al dread!).

    • Tracie

i am getting ready to go to CVS and make my first transaction with ecbs. when i get to the register, what do i need to hand her first. they always want my card first. does this make a difference?? i have coupons and ecb's. thank you

      • Sue

Let them scan your card first. Once everything is rung up, give them your coupons, then your ECB's. Try to get as close as you can to your subtotal in ecb's so your oop will be lower. You will always have to pay tax.

      • Actually I have seen quite a few people on here suggest scanning the card, offering any $/$$ coupon, then ECBS followed by coupons! For some reason this order lets the ECBs eat up some of the tax. Haven't tried it yet. Will do tomorrow tho.!

    • cheryl

CVS had some of the Old Spice body washes on clearance for 50% off if any of you still have those $1/1 and/or BOGO coupons left!

    • Ty

CVS (Pass Rd & Cowan, Gulfport, MS) had Pantene @ 50% off (most were $2.50) w/ $1 off store coupon peelies. Paired w/ $1 off from Parade a few weeks ago thats $.50 Pantene!!!

    • Stephanie

Tried the deal on the Olay, but hit a few snags.

      $20 regenerist lotion
      $7 olay body wash

used 10% off entire purchase (rec'd from CVS red box)
      (1) buy regenerist lotion get body wash free
      (1) $1 off olay mosturizer

but then the $7 off would not go through and the cashier and manager said it was because I had already used a coupon (the one dollar off). Not sure if that was exactly right but I didn't want to make trouble (they referred to the $7 Q as saying 'only one coupon per transaction'). So they voided the $1 Q and scanned the $7 Q instead and it worked. Then the total comes up without the 10% off! For some reason, it was not used. The cashier told me and the manager that it did not go through and she wasn't sure why. So then the manager gives me 10% of 5.00, the new total, not the 10% off the $27 like it should have been!

It even printed at the bottom of the receipt that the 10% was not used. Weird! Anyone else experience this? If I had been thinking, I would have just kept it and gone back to use on the rest of my Olay rebate purchases. Today was the last day to use it, not sure if thats what caused it or not.

      • DonnaTN

I had that happen to me when I had a 20% off purchase. Although it took the % off but said to give the coupon back to the customer so I got to use it again the next time I went in.

      • Duyyyt

It says on the coupon: “Coupon not applicable on sale items.” Learn to read people!

      • M_bruere

I found out that the 10% off was only off non-sale items… everything that had ECBS were considered sale items. I bought over $50 in items mostly ECB deals and rainchecks which also voided them from the 10% off. in the end my 10% came off only one $5 item. so on a $50 order only 50 cents came off… not too good a deal if you ask me. I wasnt happy. my total even after coupons was about $30. If I had realized the way it was going to work I would have bought my items in different transactions.

    • Duyyyt

As a CVS employee, you make my life hard. Do not get me wrong; I have no problem with coupons. Where I have a problem is when you guys try to tell me how to do my job, or do not have the decency to step out of line between your twenty different transactions. Also, do not get mad when we are out of stock. It is not our fault that you guys come in and buy two razors every week; four tubes of toothpaste every week. You sicken me. Everyday, I get old ladies that come in, living off of social security mind you, on low income budgets looking for a deal on toothpaste. They do not get because you people like you. Quit being so stingy.

    • Duyyyt

No, people like you just make her sick.

    • Guest

WOW did you not get any last night?!?

      • Duyyyt

You people only think of yourselves. The sales are for everyone. And, Grow up! “?!?”?

        • 3monkeysmom

Actually, I find the opposite to be true. I speak only for myself, but I have seen several posts since I've been using Southersavers by people who donate tons of items, which is something that I do also. So when I'm buying multiples of anything, or when I'm buying things I don't personally need, I'm thinking of others, not myself :-)
Also, I'm not sure why it's such a big deal….there are limits on the ECB items, so I couldn't buy 10 tubes of toothpaste even if I wanted to! Some items aren't stocked that well to begin with anyway….the toothpaste for example, I've noticed, whether it's on sale or not, is never well stocked at my local store. There are usually between 5-10 tubes of a particular *flavor*. Let's assume there are 10 tubes, and 5 people came in and got their limit of 2. That's ONLY 5 people and now you're out of that *flavor*. Buying your limit of 2 certainly isn't hoarding!! I think stores that are in cities with thousands of citizens should maybe think about stocking up before they put these items on sale.
And as for “the sales are for everyone,” then it shouldn't matter to you how many items someone buys. Whether I get 2 or 10, I'm your customer, and am included in “everyone.”
I'll end this by asking you what I asked complaining people where I used to work: “If you don't like this job, why don't you find another one?”

          • Jbush27

I completely agree with you that it doesn't seem like CVS is always stocked on certain items and that only a few people are going to get the deal to begin with. Especially when items are on sale one week and the next week there is another deal on the same item and they haven't restocked from that sale.

    • kristin

You really shouldn't judge “us people”. Not all of us are like that.

      • Duyyyt

Well then, this message is not for you.

      • Maddy

You're absolutely right, Kristin. There are those of us who enjoy finding a good deal on items, but I have seen those who are just greedy (even obsessive). It's really not fair to take everything off the shelves just because you can, especially in the smaller stores – and then gripe because you can't find something yourself. I had rather have a good rapport with the store manager and cashiers. We need to always remember to be courteous and not make people wait either. I admit I was irritated one night when this lady kept going back and back and wheeling and dealing with the manager – until they told me what they were doing and got me started on Southern Savers. They were having a great time, and it was contagious. So maybe the managers could learn everything they can and train their cashiers to be on our side. It's really a 2-way street, and there sometimes has to be compromise.

    • S_J61

You are just jealous beacuse you cannot follow Jenny's simple instructions on oh how to get a great deal. Do not be angry at everyone else because you lack common sence!

      • Duyyyt

Well do not get mad when CVS is out of all of the sale items.

        • Valerie

          Well I don't I GET A RAINCHECK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love rainchecks!!!!! :)

          • Jbush27

            I agree, I get a raincheck.

        • Queennana0725

I never get mad because my cvs is always so nice to give me rainchecks.

    • kristin

Your an ass!! Get a life and find some other people to hate on..

    • ty

So are old ladies on low income budgets the only ones that are worthy of your concern? Who do you think couponers are? The vast majority of us are people who depend on coupons to feed our families and try to get out of the paycheck to paycheck cycle. Also I know that many couponers, myself included, donate excess toothpaste and other items to organizations that provide the products to low/no income people for free. I am sorry about whatever has happened to make you stereotype all couponers as stingy, sickening, bossy, hoarders but please do not label us all based on some bad experiences. Btw I appreciate you being involved on southernsavers, cashiers who are knowledgeable of the “couponing world” and how they should be used properly always make my shopping experiences more enjoyable. Also, I totally understand your frustrations…20 transactions…definately w/ more than one extracare card. So much for “one per household”. Sorry for the book, this was a lot longer than I intended.

    • Lovinliferytnow!!

I am a CVS employee also and i love all of my customers and treat them all the same! You should not be on here critizing the people that cause you to get a paycheck every week, so i would think twice before you cause your store to lose valuable customers and possibly put more people out of work…..I would welcome anyone to my store in Charlotte anytime and my “couponers” that already shop there have an awesome shopping experience everytiime they walk into the store!! We try and do all that we can to satisfy our customers and i mean that 100%. So if anyone is ever in the area stop by and see us on Mt.Holly-Huntersville Rd and Beatties Ford Rd (we are the biggest CVS in the district) Hope to see some of you soon!!

    • Misty

Anyone have a suggestion on where I might be able to find a $25 giftcard w/ new script coupon?

      • Angie

I had one print from the kiosk last week. Hopefully you will get one too! :)

    • MarineMom

As a couponer and former cashier, I feel that a lot of people on here have made good points. Duyyyt, you are absolutely right: To get in line and conduct 20 transactions is rude and inconsiderate. Couponers who use expired or incorrect coupons give us all a bad name! (When I was a cashier in high school, I routinely had “little old ladies” who tired to hand me a wad of coupons that were either for items not purchased or were expired. Why did I care? I would get in trouble for taking expired coupons, as they were no longer redeemable.) Duyyyt, not all of us hoard! As a matter of fact Winn Dixie allowed me to take a rain check on a wonderful deal last week–not because they were out of my product, but because I didn't want to wipe them out, and I could have; however, I realize I'm not the only one looking for the deals. Yes, I like to stock up, but I'm not going to hog the good deals when supplies are low. Finally, Duyyt, why don't you tell the little ladies on SS about the coupons and the best time to come in to beat the rush on sales items?? If we all conduct ourselves with civility, the coupons can be a win-win for everybody interested.

    • Kristen

Im sorry that you find your job/life so difficult. The fact is that couponing is becoming more prominent because of the economy and “people like [us]” need to save money where we can in order to support our family. There are plenty of respectful CVS employees who love there job and “people like [us].” Maybe you should look for a job that is not so difficult and where you do not have to put up with “people like [us]” taking toothpaste from old ladies!

    • Lovinliferytnow!!

Just to let everyone know July 1 will print your 2% extra care buck coupons..you can make a purchase or use the coupon scanner to get them. Also you can call 1-800-SHOP CVS and enter your card number to recieve the amount you should be recieving at anytime…Thank you all for your business and visits to CVS!!!

      • Samplesfun

thank u so much for the reminder :) …..also had 1 doubt if i dint claim last month's 2% back can i still claim it?

        • Livinliferytnow!!

These rewards are quarterly so these are your spring rewards, now your purchase go towards your summer rewards

    • Misty

Oh my, I am sorry that you have such a poor disposition. It must be hard being you. Do you suggest a rain check to the old ladies looking for toothpaste? That might be challenging considering your social skills, but if you are truly concerned about them, it might help them out. Oops, sorry was I telling you how to do your job? Additionally, I give away plenty of the things I save money on. Hopefully, because of my couponing and other SMART choices, I will not be a little old lady struggling to buy toothpaste!

    • Grammy in Richmond, VA

I am CERTAIN “my” CVS is the best (Woodman Rd., Richmond, VA). The manager, Dave, is great! The cashiers are friendly. I can go to employees, seeking help finding items, and they stop what they're doing and help! I (heart) CVS!

    • Guest

      For Duyyyt:

Since you are so adament about your store being taken advantage of … why don't you let us know where it is you work so we can be prepared. Also, IP addresses are easily traceable for the technologically inclined. Perhaps someone will report you to CVS complete with IP address and name. I would also like to point out the fact that CVS is getting additional business due to couponers. I am more likely to go to CVS for “last minute” items because of the wonderful attitude everyone has there. Thus, paying your bills. CVS is reimbursed from manufacturers' coupons. And my last comment, since you have had a few bad experiences with couponers and think we all need to go away, does that mean us couponers should stop shopping at CVS because of our “bad experience” with you? How would you pay your bills then? I'll get working on the IP address ….

      • Kristen_DH

*hoping Duyyyt does not work at my local CVS!*

        • ireneY

I'm pretty certain she works at mine… same attitude with snide remarks!! I keep a 20 foot radius distance away from her persons at all times!!

      • Jtorr14

Let's get back to posting comments that will help each other out. Facebook and Twitter needs to be used for all of this other drama.

      • Angie

You are so right! Not only does CVS get reimbursed for the coupon but they also get an $0.08 handling fee.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

I missed the subject's comment. Can someone summarize exactly what the subject said?

        • Paige

The initial comments were flagged by some people and removed. There are still some responses if you scroll through all of the comments for this week.

      • NSBsaver

I'm not sure what was said by Duyyyt, but CVS encourages us couponers…
Why else would they put an Icon attached to sale items pictured in the weekly ad saying “Look for coupon in Sunday's paper”
They get reimbursed … It's Brilliant….I would normally never buy $7 bodywash, and yesterday I bought 4!!! …..LOL!!!!!

    • pureromancebychriste

I would just like to say I went for the first time this week to my local CVS (main St. Simpsonville SC) and they were SOOOO helpful with everything. I told her it was my first time and waited till the line was empty to do what needed to be done, I ended up making 3 transactions and still have $5 in ECBs left. Found great deals and she helped me do it correctly. Thank you CVS. You made saving money enjoyable

    • cpnobsessed

    • Dmllr813

I just recieved an email from CVS where I get a coupong for a either a free CVS to go wipes or a free CVS shave gel! Super Cool!

      • Anda

I got the same! And I got the survey for either $10 or $15 in ECB :) I ended up with $15 :)

      • Ariel

I got the same and used mine today! Love free stuff!

        • Ariel

I used it on the CVS shave gel which rang up with a price of $1.49 but the coupon scanned for $1.79! The cashier pointed this out to me and said, “This is a great deal for you, a little extra off.”

    • DealDemonWannabe!

I did the Gillette Fusion deal above “$5 ECB wyb Gillette Fusion ProGlide Razor $9.97
(Limit 1) -$4 off Gillette Fusion ProGlide razor P&G 6/6 (makes it 97¢)”. At the bottom of my receipt, it did not print that the offer limit was reached. Does anyone know if we can do this deal more than once?

      • Nancy

I have a question along the same line. I did this deal a week or two ago and got the .97 razor. I got another coupon from a friend and see that they have the same deal again. Will the $5 ECB print again if I go tomorrow?

        • Nancy

Also wondering if I can get the $7 ECB back when spending $27 on Olay products if I buy 4 Olay Total Effects Body Washes (=$28), then use 2 $4 off coupons and get the 2 free Ivory soaps. Does the $27 total have to be after I use the coupons or before? Thanks!

          • Shirley

You will be able to get the $7ecb as long as your total is $27 or above before coupons, and this applies for any deal with a amount requirement. Cheers

          • Mysterious_Mentalist

Total is always the price that shows in front of the actual scanned item(s). Therefore, just ignore what happens in later half of the receipt transaction; what matters is the actual price (regular or sale) that shows by the item.

          • NSBsaver

            Yes, it works! I purchased (4) Olay Total Efffects body washes @ $7 each… Used (4) $4 off coupons, and (4) BOGO Ivory coupons… Total was $12ish, got 7 ECB's back…Whoohoo!!!

        • Mysterious_Mentalist

I believe the limit is 2 for the whole month of June. It appears you might have bought only one so far; therefore grab one more before the end of this month.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

I believe the limit is 2 for this whole month. In your receipt, it should indicate something like, “…quantity needed for next reward….1”

    • SuzieQ1973

      Centrum coupons for $2 off 1 or $5 off 2 at https://www.wyethallbrands.com/special_offers.aspx

    • Suzieq1973

There are $10 off Alli coupons available by registering at http://www.myalli.com (you can print 2 and they donlt expire until 10/1/10)

    • Shannon

I was so excited this week. I was able to purchase an 85 count bottle of Zantak and a 100 count bottle of Centrum for 11 bucks total. Usually the Zantak is at least 25 dollars by itself. I cannot function without it. Between coupons, sales, and the few ECB's I had, I am set for the summer!

    • Shannon

OOPs, I meant to type ZANTAC!

    • Michellegowan

Does anyone know if I can use Rite Aid coupons at CVS?

      • Kristen_DH

My CVS does since Rite Aid is 3 mins away from it.

      • Deshisk8chick

some cvs stores will take competitor coupons if the competitor is close by. but watch out just because one store does it does not mean all the cvs's you visit will do the same thing. ask your current store before you start doing your shopping.

    • Shirley

This is so super cool! My CVS is renovating and they have just put in a self-check station! Just tested it out. Had a little problem with my ECBs being less than the total, but got that worked out. Just had to scan your ECBs first before the MQs. It will bring your subtotal down into the negative (I'm sure they would work that out later, someone from corporate's there, ironing out the whole thing) but as long as it doesn't go more than tax, it is not a problem (yup, its eating a little of my tax atm). Plus, if you forgot to scan your $/$$, you don't have to worry that the total is lower because of scanning the coupons, the machine will still take it, but you have to make sure there is enough of a total in there to take the amount off. So cool! XD

    • Guest

Just left CVS and I received a $7 off $15 (from CVS Coupon Machine) purchase of Revlon Cosmetics purchase. I don't think I every gotten a coupon worth so much.

    • Kimboone123

I had my first frustrating experience at CVS today. I was going to get sunscreen b/c I had SOOOO many ECB's that I may as well use them on something I need! I also had a CVS coupons (from the red machine) for $3 of $15 worth of sunscreen..any kind. So, I though, perfect! When I got ther and scanned my card at the red machine I then got a $4/$20 purchase! WOW! That'll make the deal even better! However, when I went to check out, the lady would NOT take both of them! My overall total was over $30 because I needed so much sunscreen, but she would not take both coupons. It didn't make sense to me because one was for an overall total and one was for at least $15 worth of sunscreen. (Mind you I got a few other items as well so it's not like al $30 was in sunscreen.) Anyway, after all my coupons I gave her my ECB's. I was down to owing her .99 cents before tax so I gave here a $1 ECB and asked her to adjust it to .99 cents. Of course, the machine beeped when she scanned the $1 ECB, and I again asked her to adjust the price. She was NOT happy about it! I asked to speak to the manager and then she finally adjusted the price (I guess she didn't want to call her manager over.) Note to self….don't go to her register again! Oh my!!!!

On a good note…my $3 off sunscreen coupon does not expire until Monday…I'm going to go back on Monday and get some more sunscreen for free….and make sure I don't go up to her! She won't last long in this store with as many couponers as go to this one!

      • LeAnnaShaw

Kim…I would go in and talk to manager…not being able to use both of those q's is silly! IF you had 15$ of sunscreen..then what is the problem. YOu are totally correct….one is for an amt off of total..one an amt off certian items. Did she try to scan them? Obviously you would use the 4/20 first…then the 3/15 in SS. But either way-your total would not have came down under 20 first. We just had our first walgreens open in our county-and have 2 more coming-all are within 5 miles or much less of me. I posted above and had a bad experience today(my first time too) and I am going to talk to the manager, b/c although I get good deals there….I also fill all our rx's there! And I am more apt to go in and get something if needed quickly-B/C I am treated nicely. But you want to be nasty to me….? Then chances are-your very old store…will not hold up to the NEW walgreens….and if they are nice to me, then they will get my business! Honest to goodness….how silly can some pple be???

        • Kimboone123

LeAnnaShaw, Yes, I did the 4/20 coupon first and then she wouldn't use the other coupon. Wouldn't even try it. I am on a first name basis with most of the employees in this store, so this one must be new because I've never seen her before. However, I'll steer clear away! I'm going to a diff. CVS tomorrow and going to use the coupon. We live in ATL so we need LOTS of sunscreen here. Thank you, however, for setting me at ease. I didn't think I was trying to do anything wrong. Since we both had bad experiences today maybe it's a full moon or something! LOL I hope your next trip is better!

      • guest

Actually, it's true. The $4 off $20 and $3 off 15 are considered open ended coupons. They can only take one. Here's the policy I received an email a few months ago:

Our registers are set to allow 1 CVS coupon and 1 manufacturer coupon per item. CVS Extra Buck coupons are earned when you make a qualifying purchase. These print out instantly at the register upon reaching the threshold for the offer. Free coupons or “offers at the register” are unearned and issued to you as a valued member of the CVS/pharmacy ExtraCare program. These coupons take the form of “open ended” coupons such as $3 off $15 or a certain dollar amount off a specific item. In any given transaction our registers will allow only one “open ended” coupon per transaction and more than one Extra Buck coupon provided the purchase threshold has been met for each offer amount on a per-transaction basis.

    • LeAnnaShaw

I went to CVS today and got a few things. There was really not much for me this week. However-while waiting for RX to be filled-I was looking at the clearance table in the front. They had pantene for $2. I have a 2/2 Q. So I thought I would get it for my dd. But the cashier-who had been watching me like a hawk w/ a nasty look on her face- said….you won't be able to use a coupon on marked down items! I said…'oh no-that is not correct…' she said 'oh yes it is' I feel a little bad-b/c I had been having a bad day and I was not my super duper nice self. So I said…I have your Q policy-show me where it says that? Then a guy came in and she helped him w/ cigs. So I said..'please get your manager-b/c a walgreens has just opened accross the street….and I need to get this settled, b/c I will leave this and get my scrpts back too….this is ridiculous!' Then she said 'oh fine-I will let you use it” WTH??? It was way weird…this is a great CVS…always stocked…I LOVE the manager…and this lady is so rude. But on the off chance I am wrong…does anyone know corperate policy on using Q's w/ markdowns. I know I have before. I did not expect ECB's….If I am wrong I will buy this lady lunch! I swear…I am feeling guilty now…

      • CVSMgmt

I am a CVS manager, and yes, policy states that any and all marked down and/or clearance items are void of any sale offers(B1G1free/50% off, or to reach a total to receive ECB's) and use of mfr's/store coupons.

        • LeAnnaShaw

Can you tell me where I can find that particular policy? I would believe you….and I know you are stating what you know to be true…however I have a policy that clearly states that b1g1 items can be used w/ Q's. In particuliar…say I have a b1g1 q on sobe water…and it goes on sale in CVS for b1g1(so w/ using both your sale and my Q I am getting both items free) -are you saying my Q could not be used? B/c I know that is not the policy. I NEVER want to do what is wrong….honest to betsey…so if I am-I need to know. But just like Alicia, I have used Q's on numerous marked down items before. So if this is something new….I certianly will adhere. And just a question…(I don't want to be argumentative…honest) but why not accept a Q for a clearance item? You still get the money back from the Q-plus .08 cents-right? You are not losing anything as a store. Does that make sense? Thanks for helping me…

          • CVSMgmt

You can only use a coupon on an item that is being purchased. So, when an item is B1G1 free, your only paying for one item, the other is FREE. You can't use a coupon on something that has no value. However, if you get 2 offers of B1G1 then 2 items are free and 2 are being purchased. NOW you can use your coupon on the 2 items that are purchased making the sale buy one get three free.

As far as where the policy on marked downs and coupons is located has always been an issue that we all want to avoid because its not in our flyers. We have called several times to coorp. and have been directed per coorp. that is the proper procedure. If you ever have a question about coupon policy or markdowns you can call 1-800-SHOP-CVS. This is the same # we use at store level for any questions we have concerning policy.

Here is what I have from CVS corporate…'In the case where particular item is on sale for B1g1 freee-yo are only allowed to use on manq Q. For instance, if Revlon lipstick is on sale for BOGO-you can use one manq BOGO Q. You would get both items for free and pay any applicable tax. We reserve the right to limit quantities. If our store is running a sale for BOGO, you can use two manq. q's for a specific dollar amount off. For example, if Revlon lipstick is on sale at our store for BOGO, you can use two $1.00 off Revlon lispstick manq. q's.' Is this what you are saying….?

            • guest

haha. I just wrote that above! Seems like they like to copy and paste their policies in emails. Like I said before, I received this in an email in the beginning of June. I'd be surprised if things actually changed so quickly.

CVS could avoid all this if they just posted their policies online and in stores. Good luck!

            • LeAnnaShaw

totally true,…I just went and scoured their site….nothing on Q policy! Mine was from a Danielle-CVS Customer Relations. It did not have the last line that you have-about using Q's on clearance items. CVS is reducing the cost on those…for whatever reason….one would think they want them to move…and who cares if a Q is used…they still get their money for the Q.(plus .08). I think I will re-write them and get that too! I honesly do not think CVSmanager thinks he/she is doing anything wrong….I truly believe that sometimes they are told one thing…and customers are told another. Their DM's don't even know. Like my CVS…they are adamant about not starting sales on Sat….say it is from above. I believe them. But I get on here and see that so many still do it! I am jealous all of the time! lol. I just hate the confrontation..so I would rather not even go there if I have to fight for every right that 'they' say I have!

            • Deshisk8chick

that is not true. the item is still technically being purchased whether it is free or not. it is totally legal to use two coupons on a buy one get one free item. what a customer cant do is buy something at b1g1 then use a b1g1 coupon and another manufacturer coupon with that. the b1g1 coupons is technically for two items and another manufacturer coupon would make 1 item using two manu coupons and that cant be done. so for all you southern savers out there it is perfectly legal to use 2 manu coupons on b1g1 free items.

            • Mysterious_Mentalist

You completely turned me off when you stated with CVs stamp that CVS does not accept two Qs on store b1g1 sale. That is not true and therefore, I am reluctant to accepting anything you might have to say. Stick around, you will learn a lot from us. Also, manuf Qs can be used on clearance or sale items. “Clearance” is essentially a sale item. manuf. Q. do not state any limitations otherwise. What store do you work in please?

          • guest

LeAnna, if I was you I would just go ahead and send a quick email to CVS customer service. If you go to CVS' webpage you can contact them through there. I received an email from them less than a month ago that said that they do take coupons for clearance items. Here's some of the email I was sent:

In the case where a particular item is on sale for “buy one get one free” (BOGO), you are only allowed to use one manufacturer’s coupon. For instance, if Revlon lipstick is on sale for BOGO, you can use one manufacturer’s BOGO coupon. You would get both items free & pay any applicable tax. When an item is on sale for buy one, get one free and the customer has a buy one get one free coupon for that same product, the coupon will be accepted and both items will essentially become free (plus any applicable sales tax).

Also, two manufacturer coupons can be used on a buy one get one free purchase as long as two items are scanned at the register. The system logic sees two items scanned and will allow two coupons. The Store Manager can limit quantities. We also accept coupons on clearance items.

      • Alicia

I have never heard that; I always check the clearance shelves, and I have used coupons on marked down items on countless occasions without problem. The manager at my store knows I use coupons for everything, and she tells me when there are new items on clearance.

        CVS/pharmacy®

        Dear Valerie Scarborough,

Thank you for contacting CVS/pharmacy. Your e-mail has reached the Customer Relations Department. We appreciate the time you have taken to contact us with your inquiry. Our coupon policy is not available on our Web site. We reserve the right to change this policy at any time.

Our registers are set to allow one CVS coupon and one manufacturer coupon per item. Free coupons or “offers at the register” (OAR’s) are unearned and issued to you as a valued member of the CVS/pharmacy ExtraCare program. These coupons take the form of “open ended” coupons such as $3 off $15 or a certain dollar amount off a specific item. In any given transaction our registers will allow only one “open ended” coupon per transaction. CVS Extra Buck coupons are earned when you make a qualifying purchase. These print out instantly at the register upon reaching the threshold for the offer. You can use more than one Extra Buck coupon provided the purchase threshold has been met for each offer amount on a per-transaction basis.

In the case where a particular item is on sale for “buy one get one free” (BOGO), you are only allowed to use one manufacturer’s BOGO coupon. For instance, if Revlon lipstick is on sale for BOGO, you can use one manufacturer’s BOGO coupon. You would get both items free and pay any applicable tax. We reserve the right to limit quantities. If our store is running a sale for BOGO, you can use two manufacturer’s coupons for a specific dollar amount off. For example, if Revlon lipstick is on sale at our store for BOGO, you can use two $1.00 off Revlon lipstick manufacturer coupons.

CVS/pharmacy does accept manufacturers’ coupons that have been obtained from manufacturer sponsored and/or authorized Web sites. The coupon should be complete and contain a bar code that can be scanned at the register. If the coupon does not scan, the cashier should politely inform you that we cannot accept your coupon. We do not allow manual overrides at the register for coupons printed from the Internet. CVS/pharmacy will not accept offers printed from unauthorized Internet postings or reproductions, copies, or facsimiles.

We do not accept competitors’ coupons for front store items. We feel that our sales and ExtraCare program are comparable if not better than any sales or coupons offered by our competitors. We also do not accept any expired coupons, CVS or otherwise. We do not “double” or “triple” coupons.

Thank you again for contacting us Valerie. We value your business and look forward to serving you in the future. Have a wonderful day!

        Sincerely,

        Tina

Valerie-Thanks. I have the middle part of this. The one about B1G1. Someone else posted on here about not being able to use her 4/20 and a 3/10 in suncreen at the same time. I thought that did not make sense. She bought 10 worth of sunscreen-and even w/ the 3/10-she still had well over $20 worth of items. I thought they should use both. But the way I read this…she should not have been able to-and the cashier was correct.
I am a bit put off by their 'we don't have our q policy online and reserve the right to change it at any time' I feel that leaves us hanging at any moment. And lots of CVS's accept competitiers coupons…I see pple talk about it here all the time! Same way w/ sales starting on sat. How do these stores get away w/ this? I certianly don't get it.

      • Guest

I wouldn't believe this so called “CVSMgmt” I have bought countless items on clearence with coupons at several stores with out one problem.

        • CVSMgmt

This is the policy that is enforced in our store per conversation through a member of CVS coorp. from the customer service line(1-800-SHOP-CVS). If you have been told differently from another source then continue your routine as allowed by the policy enforced in the store you continue your buisness with. This is merely what we have been told per our conversation with coorp., and is the policy we will continue to enforce. Please do not discontinue your buisness with CVS for that is not my intent. I'm hear to educate our shoppers on coupon exceptance the way we are trained in our stores to do so. I value all our shoppers including those with the ability to take advantage our sales and extra care program along with mfr's coupons. I want to ensure coupons are being used properly so that no more limitations have to be enforced on them.

    • CVSMgmt

Once again, these are the policies and procedures enforced in my store. If anyone wants to speak with a rep. from CVS coorp. to understand the procedures for their coupons call (1-800-SHOP-CVS)

      • LeAnnaShaw

I understand you enforce them in YOUR store-and I don't blame you-b/c I feel you believe this is what you should do. But I have an email from corperate that says otherwise! (not about clearance items…but on other things you have commented on). I wonder why you are being so bull headed? What would you lose by taking a coupon on a marked down item? You still have not addressed this. You get reimbursed the full Q value-plus .08. So why not take them? I wish I shopped at your store…I would make sure you understood what corperate said…then I would never come back again-and tell anyone I knew that you were not adhering to corperate policies…so take business elsewhere. I am all for following directions…and policies….(by the way-do you start your sales on sat??? that is a bit NO NO!) I am an honest couponer! But I hate it when a manager thinks they can trump company policy!

    • debra

I need to vent!. I went to my local Oneonta, Al. CVS today, I had coupons in hand. There was no Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Body Wash on the shelf but they were stocking, so I walked around the store for a few minutes to give them time to restock. When I got back to the aisle there stand a woman with ALL 4 bottles in her buggy. I ask her if she just took all of them and she said YES…I told her i been was waiting on them to restock..and that it was WRONG of her to take them all. it did not matter 1 bit to her…she just kept on walking…..I WAS not happy!!!…Please dont take all of anything!!! Leave some for other people…

I have a question about purchasing two items, using a BOGO coupon and a $4/2 coupon on these items. Is this asking for too much discount? As I read in some of the post from CVS, I could use a BOGO and two $ manu. coupon on each item as they are supposed to be scanned and read as two items. I suggested scanning the $4/2 coupon first, then the BOGO but the cashier explained I couldn't use it on an item I was getting for free. I was hoping it would take down the purchase price of some of the other items I was purchasing. Any comments?

I also want to know if anyone read the “fine print” on the Zegerid rebate form? It seems to indicate that the total of the purchase minus any coupons for discounts will be refunded. I made the mistake of ringing this seperately and using all kinds of coupons and ECB's so the total was $0.00. Now what do I do?

      • DonnaTN

First for the Zegerid thing, circle what the price was that it rang up not how much you paid out of pocket or how you paid doesn't matter. The price you circled is what you will get on your rebate back.
For the $4/2 coupon, I don't believe you could use that along with a b1g1. Considering they are both MQ's you would need $4/1 to make it work. Although, if your cashier is friendly then they may make it try to work for you. But since it automatically takes off the free one…I don't know how that would work. I've never quite tried that yet…sorry…but I hope the other info helps

        • meme

Thanks DonnaTN. That info helps my feelings alot. I was feeling down thinking I had really blown the budget. It is risky to change meds (Zegerid) but it is getting harder and harder to make ends meet. Some meds are so expensive.

Hawaiian Tropics also has a cvs coupon so you can save 5 with that coupon plu mf plus ecb 17 total savings

    • Chrystalm

I bought the huggies diapers I had $10 in ecbs and a $3 off coupon and in the magic box I got a $4 off of 20 coupon, which made my purchase $3 —$4 w/ tax. I am loving it!! Even the cashier cheered. I got my 10 ecbs back w/purchase. I didnt loose anything and got a box of diapers for $4. WOW

What's the PowerBar limit up to now? I just got back from CVS. Got 3 in one trip, but my receipt doesn't say “offer limited reached” yet.

      • livinnatl

Danielle…Im wondering too…I have purchased 4 and still not reached my limit. Anyone have a clue?

        • livinnatl

Looks like the Powerbar limit is 5…it is amazing what you can find with the Google Advanced search!

          • Danielle

            Thanks, Livinnatl!
