Earlier than usual (it’s not 1 am) here are the deals that start at CVS 6/21.  It’s not a Father’s Day ad at all looking at the products, but a happy mom makes dad happy too I guess.  Remember that many CVS stores start printing ECB’s on Saturday night after 6pm.  Check with your store before checking out though.

If you are new to CVS, go here first.  This looks like greek below, so get some answers to all the questions!

    • meg

Why do you get 8 ECBs on the last soy joy transaction?

    • lynn

5×4=20 that is the full amount you can get there is 1 bar carried over on each deal to get the end balance

    • Jasmine

Today I got an extra care coupon for $2 off coopertone water babies or kids sunscreen, can i use that with the $2 off printable? Thanks !

    • lynn

yes you should be able to use both just make sure that oneis a store coupon and i is a manf. coupon

    • Jasmine

It just says Extra Care Coupon, nothing about a manufacturer, so should work! Yay:) Thanks Lynn!

    • Jamie

This is more on a Target/Publix level, but I wanted to share.
(also the sunglass wipes priced at .99 worked for me also!) Thanks for the tip and the extra 8 bucks for spending, I hope this helps, but you probably already know about it!

I wanted ask you if you have seen the new unilever coupon books that Publix has out? In it they have 1.50 off Breyers, 1.00 off Popsicles, and 1.25 off Klondike 6 pack. Target has a gift card offer, buy 5 participating products (all three of these are there) @ 2.50 a piece and get a 5 $ Target gift card. That, if rolled definately will get you some free icy treats. I snagged a few extra books from Publix to make sure I had enough coupons. I am not sure if you are in a Publix area, but I am sure your readers (me included), would love to hear this information. Publix also has a yellow advantage buyer catalog that has a manufactuers coupon for 1$/2 for Ben and Jerrys. This is the fourth item available at Target for the gift card (also priced at 2.50 a piece). However this week they are on sale at Publix B1G1, 3.79, so if you figure in the math, I think they are close. I love your deals!
      Sincerely,
      Jamie

    • Terri

I was wondering if anyone could tell me–I received a $10 off $30 today when I got the “hidden money maker” ECB. It says it’s only good for 3 days and expires on June 21st. Does that mean I can use it that day(21st) or I need to use it before then???

    • lynn

it means june 21 is the last day you can use it,,

    • Michelle

If any of you have 10 of the B1G1 SoyJoy coupons and one of the $2 off wyb 10 bars, it should be a $12 money maker!

      Here’s the math:

      Buy 20 SoyJoy bars
      Use 10 B1G1 free coupons
Use 1 $2 off wyb 10 bars (on the 10 bars that you’re actually paying for)
      Total due is $8.00
Get back $20 ECB = profit of $12

Is my math correct? I bought some of the B1G1 coupons on ebay, and I already had some of the $2/10 bars coupons.

    • Terri

Thanks Lynn for clarification-I will save it to use for this coming Sunday!:)

    • Lori

      JENNY,

Is there a new Reinventing Beauty mag out at CVS? the last one i’ve seen is from March or April it has Jennifer A. on the front. Look like a great week comin up at CVS :)

    • Beth

JENNY, I have a question. I want to do your Grand Plan as stated above. But I do not have the $2/10 SoyJoy Bars. But I do have 3 $2/4 could you help me figure a way to work that. I would be so grateful…

      Thanks,
      Beth

    • Beth

Also I wanted to let you know that I found a working printable for the Thermacare wraps. Here is the link

    • Susan

Did anyone in the Atlanta area get the SoyJoy coupons listed to be in 5/31’s SS? I don’t have them in my “stash.” Wondering if it was a regional coupon.

    • Michelle

      Susan,

I’m just north of Atlanta. The SoyJoy coupons weren’t in the AJC, but they were in my local paper, The Gainesville Times.

    • Kareen

I went and got the CVS MONEYMAKER today at a Covington GA location and it worked!!! Thanks!

    • Lauren

Thanks for the thermacare link Beth!

    • Tracie

      Susan (#17)

I received the Soy Joy coupon in the AJC.

    • Michelle

I guess we have different versions of the AJC then, because I didn’t get them. Strange, huh?

    • Lauren

I don’t have any Soyjoy coupons from the 5/31 AJC either…

    • Jimbo

Come on, what dad doesn’t need a thermalcare wrap and tylenol?

    • Sam

The lens cloths worked for me but after my purchase, the employees grabbed the rest of them off the shelf! None of my friends could get any at other Walgreens either. Thanks for that awesome money maker!

    • Kristin

I’m new to CVSing. when buying something from here that say’s buy ___ get ___ off, do you have to buy that amt to get the deal?
I’m excited about trying this whole thing out!

    • Candy

    • Meg

      Jenny,

    • Tosha

      Jenny,
I was wondering, if I have 10 BOGO coupons for the soyjoy, can I use them all @ one time to get $20 back in ECB’s?

      • Jenny

        Tosha,

You can use them all at the same time if you buy 20.

    • Angela W

Yes-Jaime, where did u get the Unilever Q book?!? Is this the “Family is it’s own reward” booklet that is so elusive? I have not found it anywhere in Columbia….

    • Lori

I tried the sunglasses case deal but it didn’t work (Sumter, SC) My question: I paid with mine using my ECBs. When I go back to get a refund, will they refund my ECBs or just the few pennies I paid??? I would like to be prepared before going back in.

      thanks!

    • Esmelda

About the Almay ECB deal: I have a $3 off Almay Pure Blends Manufacturer Coupon that printed at Walgreens about 2 months ago. That will make the Almay foundation 99c. ‘Just a heads up to check your coupons in case you might have that one tucked in there somewhere too.

    • Tracie

      Michelle (#18)

The Soy Joy that I received in the AJC did not comn in the Sunday AJC. It was in Evening Edge version of the AJC which comes out on Thursday. Sorry for the confusion.

    • Leah

CVS “moneymaker” worked in Myrtle Beach yesterday…did NOT work today : (
(yes, I used a different card)

    • Kelly

It would appear from your grand plan and from the comments above that it’s okay to buy the all 20 Soy Joy at the same time–is that right? All of the ECB’s will still print? I’m new to this and have been wondering if, for instance, something is a “limit 3” and you get $2 ECB back each time, can you buy three at once and get $6 ECBs? I’ve been splitting up my transactions, but I have a $10 off of $50 coupon that I’d like to use if I can buy all of the Soy Joy at one time. Otherwise, I’ll never make it to $50. Thanks!

    • Nikki

I finally found a local store that has the red price scanner/coupon printing machine. Yeah! I felt like I had won the lottery waiting for what ended up being two $3 off $15 coupons. My question is for all the Chattanooga area people. I have been in 3 CVS stores in Cleveland/Chatt. area and no luck (APD 40, Keith St., & S. Lee Hwy). This one was the CVS on E. Brainerd near Jenkins. Are there any other area stores with a price scanning machine?
      Thanks bunches!!

    • Cory

FYI – I went to CVS tonight to get the last posted deals..>AWESOME! I wanted to tell you that I used the $5 off $25 from Rite Aid…I also used a manufacturer coupon for the Zyrtec for $2.50 off (had it for a while – not sure from where) and a $4 Target coupon. Still got back my $8ECB. ROCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They will take all other stores coupons (i.e. Rite Aid, Target, Walgreens). Have a great night!

    • Heather

Nikki, all but one of the CVS stores in Cleveland have the scanners (not APD 40). In the other stores they are sometimes grey. Check the back of the store near the pharmacy counter.

    • The new Reinventing mag is out…they have most of them in the HBAC cosmetics area now..no longer putting in MAG rack…at least in Rock Hill, SC

    • Tracie

      Kelly (#38)

Yes you can buy the Soy Joy bars all at once and then your EBC’s will be combined. I did it this week with the Schick Razors which paid $3 for every 1 item purchased (limit 3). I bought 3 all at once (to use a $4 off #20 coupon) and I got 9 ECB’s printed on my receipt.

      Good Luck!

    • Thanks so so much for your site. I have been couponing for a while but still need help! Your site is a blessing! But I am confused concerning next weeks cvs. The first deal idea on soy bars. How do you get $8.00 in extra bucks at the end? I have read through the cvs info and have been doing cvs awhile. Anyway I am missing something-Would appreciate any help. Thanks

    • Can anyone tell me how to get the e-mails from CVS for $$ off $$$? I’m signed up to receive their weekly add and I have activated my rewards card on line.

    • Martha

I am trying to find this -$9.99 off FreeStyle Glucose Monitor 5/17 SS ( in my SS for that date and can’t find it… does anyone have another recommendation? Thanks!

    • Carla

I can’t get the soyjoy coupon to print. I am not able to see the print button in Firefox, but I can see it on IE, but when I click it nothing happens. Any suggestions?

      Thanks!

    • lynn

if you are not getiing it emailed to you .. you can scan your card in the store some times that will give you those coupons good luck

    • Lynnette

First off, thanks so much for this site it has certainly helped our family. Can someone please explain the SoyJoy Deal for me? The coupon of $1/5 says a limit of one per purchase and one coupon per household.

    • Misty

      Does anyone know?

Question: I spent $27.00 on Aveeno products and got the $10 ECB today, and I know it said there was a limit of 1 reward, but the bottom of my receipt says I need $13 to get the next reward. Does this mean I could buy $13 more in Aveeno products to get another $10 ECB this week, or must I wait until next week to get the second set of $10 in ECB?

    • lynn

soy joy you buy 5 use the one off of 5 coupons you will get 4 ecbs repeat this transaction 4 more time using the ecbs you just got from the first deal the last transaction you complete you will get 8 ecbs( for every 4 soy joy you buy that is one deal) the 5 one in each deal carries over to the end hope this helps

    • Cori

About the Publix Unilever books, our Publix has taken them to the counter because there are rude people who take the whole stack and leave none for anybody else. So Thanks Publix for thinking of everyone.

Does anybody know about the Freestyle glucometer. I have a coupon for $9.99, it says there is a mail in rebate in the box for 9.99 so is this making $10.00 or will they let you use a coupon?

    • Just wanted to share on saving $$ with my ECBs. My husband decided that he wanted to get some slimfast. So I asked if CVS would have them and he said yes. So he got two boxes of cans, one vanilla the other strawberry & cream both priced at $7.99. So I used $7.00 ECB so he got both for 7.99 plus just .99

    • I went to the link for the coppertone coupon – the only one to print was a nutra sheild sunscreen lotion for $5.00 off. The other link says it has expired. Has anyone been able to print the $3.00 coupon?

    • Shannon in ATL

THANKS ESMELDA…..found that Almay coupon from Walgreens!!!

    • MiniMidgMom

My paper had two thermacare coupons – one for $1 and one for $1.50. My store took the two $1.50 off coupons for the product so I got $3 off and the ECB.

If you are not getting your coupons by email then double check your cvs profile online to make sure they have your email account. I emailed them and asked why I wasn’t getting any and they said that they give them out based on how much you spend in the store. I’ve never got a coupon by email but I get coupons weekly in the store – some for Huggies which I buy there and some for $10 off $30 etc. If I can get something for the CVS price at another store I buy it at CVS so I can get those coupons. If your store does not have a kiosk to scan your card at and print out coupons then have the cashier scan it for you before you shop – sometimes I’ve gotten such good coupons I’ve walked out of the store so I could go home and examine the flyer and come up with a new strategy!

    • Nereis

I have a question about the SOBE deal. How would that work with the B1G1 and the coupons being B1G1?

    • hi ya’ll!
i have a big question for you–i’m still a newbie at the cvs-ing so i need your help. these are the deals i want to take advantage of this week (tomorrow) along with what coupons i have to use on them. can you help me figure out the best way to buy these, with the least out of pocket of course :)!?

      $$$$MONEY MAKER –
Went to my CVS tonight and bought the Freestyle glucometer that is on sale this week for $9.99, had a coupon from the paper from 5/17 SS for $9.99, so it was free. Then I am sending in the rebate to get $9.99 back, so they are paying me $10.00.

    • Shauna

      David,

Your plan for the b1g1 soy joy coupons will work just fine. I used those today myself.

      Jess,

First off you should check out which coupons you have and how many of each deal you want. If you post that, then I would be happy to make a senario with your info.

From looking at everything you posted it looks like 2 transactions would suit your needs adequately. In the first transaction I would suggest using your 4 off 20 and your 10 ecb and buying $20 retail with the best coupons for each product available. At this point you’ll have to make sure that the total of the coupons is less than the total retail purchase or you will have to add a filler or adjust your scenario a bit. If you want more than one of each deal I would try to break them up among the 2 transactions so that the ecbs don’t get clumped together. I always find them much easier to spend in smaller quantities.

    • While you’re out buying soyjoy bars, can someone let me know if they see the peanut flavor in Roswell/Alpharetta/N. Fulton area? I stocked up tonight on the fruity kind, but hubby is grumbling about peanut flavor. Thanks!

Tonight I started out with $7.98 in ECBs and got:
      20 soyjoy bars
2 tylenol rapid release extra strength
      1 blistex (on clearance)
1 purse sized hand lotion (free coupon from CVS Q machine)
      1 Thermacare wrap
      $1.85 cash OOP
Rec’d $6.49 ECB for next week

Not bad for a 1 am insomniac shopper!

    • shauna…the only coupon different that i have is i have an additional buy 5 get $1 off sobe. i’ve about figured out what i want to do, eliminating the deodarant and getting the herbal essence instead (with 2 .50 coupons). also might eliminate the toothpaste/brush deal too and add in the coppertone deal (i have the $3 off coupon). but i’m still at a loss as to how to put it together so i can get the most ecb’s and use the least cash.
      thanks for your help!

    • lynn

david yes that should work jenny is on vacation so i thought i would jump in and answere

    • lynn

shauna should you have gotten back 20 ecb on the soy joy deal?or did you split it up?

    • Dont mean to brag, just want to share my experience cause Im sooo happy!!
Ok, hubby and I went to CVS bought 4 Sobe lifewaters, they were bogo, had a bogo coupon, made all 4 bottles free. Also had a coupon for free diet dr. pepper. Bought 10 soyjoy bars. Used 4 bogo coupons for 8 bars, then I had a $2 off 10 soyjoy bars coupon.
Paid $4.29 for 10 soyjoys, 4 sobe lifewaters, and 1 diet dr. pepper.
Earned 8 ECB from the bars.
Did our 2nd transaction, bought 5 packs of Pepsi and Pepsi one. It was 4 for $9 plus one free, so it was 5 for $9.
Used our $8 ECB from first transaction, paid $1.06 for 5 packs of Pepsi!!!
      Woohooo!!! Sooo happy!

    • Paul

Hi there. In grand plan scenerio #2 rather than using (2) -$1 off Tylenol if you use the $3 off 2 bottles you save an extra buck and the total is .97 instead!

    • Shauna

      Lynn,

When I did it myself I split up the soy joy bars into two purchases because I didn’t want all of the ecbs clumped together. It can be done either way successfully though.

    • Shauna

      Jen S.

Where I went in the Lawrenceville/Lilburn area just south of you there were also only the fruity kind.

    • Jessie

    • Angie

Can someone explain to me the BOGO free deals when you have a coupon that says the same thing how you get both the products for free ? I dont get it ?

    • Brian

I love CVS this week!! Thought I’d share my deal:

Transactions 1-4: 5 soy joy bars -$3ECB -$1/5×4 (did this 4 times and got back $8ECB)

      Transaction 5: 2 Thermacare -$1×2=$4.98ECB

      Transaction 6: Almay -$1 =$10ECB
      2 Freestyle monitors -$9.99×2 (used $8ECB from trans.#1 and a $4 off $20)

      Used $3ECB and $4 off $20
      Total OOP:$6.92
      Total ECB back: $14.98

    • Tracie

Susan P (#53) You got a great deal at CVS, just wanted to let you know that the Red Plum 5/17 has a coupon for $1.40 off any 1 Slim Fast MultiPack. Let me know if you need these coupons, I have 4 of them and they expire on 8/9/09. I would like to swap with you for the (2) $4 off Schick Razor coupons (SS 6/14).

      Thanks,
      Tracie

    • Shauna

      Jess,

Here is a way to get what you want with very little oop:

      Buy
      15 SoyJoy
      2 Thermacare

      Use
      4 off 20
      10 ecb
      3x 1 off 5 SoyJoy
      2 1 off Thermacare

      Pay $1 + tax

      Get Back
      12 ecb soyjoy
      5 ecb thermacare

      Buy
      1 coppertone
      2 herbal essence

      Use
      12 ecb
      5 ecb
      3 off coppertone
      2x .50 off herbal essence

      pay $0 + tax

      Get Back
      2 ecb coppertone
      4 ecb Herbal Essence

      Buy
      5 soyjoy

      Use
      1 off 5 soyjoy
      4 ecb herbal essence

      Pay $0 + tax

      Get Back
      8 ecb soyjoy

As for the Sobe, the b1g1 coupons are much better than the 1 off 5 so use those. You can add them into any of the 3 purchases, it doesn’t matter since with the b1g1 they are free.

The total oop will be $1 + tax and you will end up with 8ecb and 2 ecb.

    • Shauna

B1G1 sale with a B1G1 coupon and how it works:

First, just trust that it does. If you need to know why, like me just think about how the register works. This is the best explanation that I have come across:

I buy 2 items that are on sale b1g1.

The register checks to see that two of that item were scanned then it then subtracts the cost of 1 item from my total.

      I then use a b1g1 coupon.

The register checks again to see if two items were scanned then it subtracts the cost of one item from the total again.

    • Susan MacDon ald

For those interested in the Clairol Perfect 10 haircolor, there is a $5 coupon in the Red Plum Section today.

$11.99-$5.00=$6.99 and you get $2 ECB.
      $4.99 total cost.

    • AngelathecouponNERD

      Corey –
Is the Freestyle rebate on the product? I have a stack of those $9.99 q’s to use….
      Aymie – SUPER DEALS!

    • AngelathecouponNerd….
There is a up to $40 rebate on them…sending out four today. Still have several coupons, but not sure where I can find a CVS that still has them…no problem I am picking up a rain check on Monday for two of them and then use the Rebate…You may have to do that because each of the Rock Hill stores only carry about two or three and you will need to be sure and pick up the one with the yelow top not the orange…since there are no ECB associated it may be your best bet.

    • Cori

Angela, the rebate is in the box. It is one per household and it is up to $40, but you have to send in the original receipt, so they will only send you what you paid for it. But $10 is better than nothing!

    • Also the Always are $5.99 and there was a $4 Q a couple weeks back no ECB, but I am buying personal baskets for a lot of grad girls going to college and that was on a couple wish lists.

    • Jen

      Hey everyone,
Just wanted to let you know at my CVS the Always infinity 28+ were included in the 4.99 sale (not marked, but I asked for a price check and they were 4.99). You can use the $4 off (not sure which insert) and get them for 0.99 each! This is a great deal, they are normally over $10 at CVS! If you have a $10/50 like I did, these help to get your total up with very little oop!

    • There is a $3.00 off Thermacare coupon on the thermacare website. Better deal for the extracare bucks!!!!

    • Tracy

      FIRST TIMER!!!!!!!!!!

Can anyone help me get started this week with the Extra Care bucks? I read the tutorial and I understand how it works, I am just wondering what products I should get this week….just the Soy Joys since those are free? Let me know if you can help!

Anyway it still rolled over all my ecbs and only .07 oop. Love your website!! It is a huge help to those of us who still need a little help. Thanks

    • david

Shauna thanks for the reply i went and uesed 3 bogo soy joy coupons plus 2ecb and 2$ oop got back 8 ecbs which they where nice enough to split into 2/ 4 ecb come back and got 2 ThermaCare Wraps at $2.49 ea – 2/1 qs and a dubble sunday news paper 1.88 oop total oop 3.87 with 8.98 ecb for next week ps then got a dollar tip for helping a lady off load a few things so really all i payed for was the paper i love couponing this site rocks,,, have nice one

    • hello to all,
I had a quick question. Those $3 off $15 coupons, do they apply to the amount pre coupon or post coupon? For example if I have a total of $16 then $5 in coupons for that purchase, do I have to add $6 of merchandise to use the $3 off $15 coupon? or can I use it on the $16 worth of merchandise?
      thanks

    • nancy

lynn you are right it taste like soap. lol But good deal

    • Shauna

      David,

Did they split them after they gave them to you? I didn’t know they could do that, that is something handy to know for the future :)

    • Lynn-

They do actually I found a box that had the sticker for $2ECB last week at the CVS in Simpsonville, SC…whie traveling through. So hold out for a little while if it doesn’t expire soon. THey honored it because it had a hard sticker on it not just a hangtag.

Where are y’all finding the Soy Joy bars? I went tonight and I couldn’t find any… not even a spot for them. I should’ve asked, but I was already annoyed because they were out of the ThermaCare.

    • Shauna

In my store they were with the other energy bars on the eye care isle (not in the food or candy section) across from vitamins. This isle was back by the pharmacy.

    • Shannon in ATL

My store keeps the Soy Joy with energy bars as well but they were all out, picked up a rain check.

    • lynn

thank you trvis it doesnt expire for a month so will hold on to them till then still loking to see if i have the 4 coupons for them that would be awsome deal cause i also have a 3 off 15 … have a great day every one

Has anyone found a Reinventing Beauty mag in any Columbia, SC store? The cashiers look at me funny when I ask and say they’ve never heard of it.

    • The only thing I don’t understand about the soyjoy deal is: how do you get 4 of the $1/5 coupons? The site will only let me print 2!

    • Did you check the cosmetic or mag rack?

    • Lisa

The only way to get 2 more soy joy coupons is to print them from another computer or you can try putting in somebody else in your family’s info and try it that way, but this doesn’t work very often. So you can try printing from another computer.

      Thanks, Lisa

    • david

Shauna yes they where nice enough to split the 8 ecb into 2/4 ecb after i was rung up cause i thought sence i was getting two seperate sets of four Soy Joy Bars that the ecb would would be split also so i just explained to the casher and she took the 8 back and did somting to the computer and gave me back 2/4 ecb,, she was cool to say the least she let me do 2 trans actions and everthing,,,ps the Soy Joy Bars wasnt what i was exspecting i ended up with 16 i run the same reciet back a couple of times now thats a first for me im kinna new at this only been playing the coupon game sence feb but i am faithful /lol ok have a good one its been my pleasure Shauna ps,,, warm welcomes from dallas texas

    • lynn

diane they have more than one computer it allows you 2 per computer

    • david

diane you need two seperate computers

    • lynn

Aymie i also printed hat coupon te last time the had the therma care deal would have been sweet if we could have used it

    • Teri

On those SoyJoy coupons, the site says “one per household”. If you have integrity, you will honor that and only print one per household. It is the right thing to do. Let’s not take advantage of the compnay who is helping us by letting us have one. The one way I tell my kids, “one is better than none”. It doesn’t matter how many computers you have. The coupon doesn’t say one per computer. If you have one household then if you are honorable, you will print one.

How about it? How do ya’ll feel about just plain old doing the right thing? Please respond. Thanks!

    • bjmccandless

Made a trip to CVS this morning and did this scenario: (They were already otu of the THermacare wraps)

      12 x SoyJoy =$12 (-2x$1MC) =$10 (With 12 ECB’s)
      2 x GE 24 pk Water @ $3.99 =$7.98 (-2x$1CRT) =$5.98
      1 x Schick Trimstyle (had raincheck)@ $8.99 (-$4 MC) = $4.99 (With 4 ECB’s)
      2 x M&M’s @ 67¢ each = $1.34 (2xFREE MC from mail)= $0
      TOTAL = $30.31 before tax
      Used $5/$30
      making total $25.31
then after all MC’s and CRT’s
      TOTAL came to $15.97
Paid with $16 in ECB’s from last week and 70¢ in tax
      GOT BACK $12 in ECB’s and a $4 ECB
so basically I spent 70¢ for tax and got 2 cases of bottled water, free candy, a dozen free soy joys, and a free trimstyle razor

    • Lisa

does anyone know how many times I can do Jenny’s plan #2 above and recieve the ecb’s!!!

I live in Roswell and shop at the CVS on Holcomb Bridge Road.

Oh yeah, and I’m politely declining Teri’s invitation to respond.

    • lynn

Teri hmmm personaly i feel we are all adults whom do not need the moral police…… as i also try to teach my children it is never good maners to point or find fault with others ……… most coupons have a print limit of 2………. per computer the only moral compass you should have is in your own house you have no idea what is going on in someone house other than your own there are are people one here wwho have more than one house hold living under the same roof or they have rather lArge familys that one might cosider the equal to more than the average house they are not obligated to come on here and disclose there personal situation nor are they obligated to explain them selfs to you or anyone eles……………what you are saying is far more offensive than printing an extra coupon … cause if you had bothered to read the fine print it does say print limit is 2………….and for every coupon you reedeem you have made the company happy that you chose there product over some oneeles also a company is not stupid or ignorant that they dont already have a set limit of there coupons nation wide that they are putting out that would be called public relations…………..do you judge yourself as harshly as you are judging others?……..do you buy more than one paper so you can have more than one coupon do you get your papers from others who might otherwise throw them away?do you use competitore coupons to save money? …….. please think before you type as you do not know who you are typing about … thank you for showing some restraint and kindness in the future……..

    • Shannon

      Teri,

If SoyJoy only wanted you to print one coupon per household then they would limit it so you could only print one.

    • nancy

The goverment already governs us. I am sure they will pass a law soon on this matter. lol Relaxe everyone do what is best for you.

    • nancy

teri I hope that a cashier did not make you feel bad for being a couponer. Some times I find cashiers thinking I am stealing from them, however they are interested. And if I can I’ll always explain couponing to them. you never know if that cashier needs this website too.

    • lynn

No you can not use ecbs for prescriptions stamps alcohol tobaco gist cards calling cards sore card ect ect.. but you can earn ecbs for buying your prescriptions so long as your prescription is not payed for in part or whole by a goverment program such as medicaid or medicare

    • lynn

gist = gift sorry for the miss spelling

    • Amy in LA

with the energy bars!?!?! Doh! I didn’t even think of that. Thanks, ladies!

    • Laura

Don’t know if anyone else has run into this or not, I haven’t read all the comments, but we couldn’t do the Soy Joy as a running total. So, if you did 4 sets of 5, you would still only get 4 $4 ECBs, rather than 3 $4s and 1 $8. As mentioned in the deal idea.

You still get ECBs back and all the SoyJoys for free, but we couldn’t make any add’l ECBs on the deal (like you would if you bought 4 sets of 5 and used 4 $1 off 5 coupons.)

    • Elizabeth

The Always Infinity Pads 28-36 count are ringing up at just $4.99! These are normally priced at $10+! They weren’t marked as on sale with signs, but I price checked them and they came up as $4.99. I used the $4 coupon from the 6/7PG to get them for just .99 each! Yay!

    • lynn

here in florida i was able to do the soy joy like that without problem

    • Sam

I did all my soyjoy deals individually, and found I did not earn $8 ECB on the last transaction. But I know why now. The add says a limit of 5 ECBs back. I did receive 5 back for a total of $20 in ECBs. If the last transaction printed $8 ECBs then I would have gotten back 6 ECBs which was over the limit. But oh well. I still got 24 (I was out of the $1/5 coupons so I only bought 4 on the last transaction.) soyjoy bars for free using ECBs for each transaction. And surprise, surprise, my Dh and I like the taste of last year’s fruitcake! LOL!

    • Lisa

Just wanted to ask again if anybody knows how many times you can do Jenny’s plan #2 with 8 soy joy’s, 2 therma care’s, & 2 tylenol’s and still recieve the $16.98 in ecb’s. Thanks, I am new to this so I am a little confused.

    • Ok I have another plan for today. Someone let me know if I am right…

      Buy:
      1) Freestyle glucose meter $9.99
      2) 2 always infinity pads at $4.99 each
      3) 2 thermacare pads at $2.49 each
      4) 1 tylenol at $4.99

      Total: $29.94 plus tax

      Use:
      $5 off $30 CVS QP
      $9.99 off Freestyle meter
2 $4.00 off always infinity QPs
      $1.00 off tylenol
      2 $1.00 off thermacare QPs

      Total due: $3.95 plus tax

      Get back: $6.98 in ECB

      IS THIS RIGHT??

DO NOT GO TO THE CVS IN CONCORD, NC ON HWY 29! They were rude and would not take my Thermacare coupon because they said it wouldn’t scan, but they never even tried to scan it. She called the manager up and they made me feel like I had a fake coupon! I just printed it from this site. Next time I will go somewhere else.

    • Ax

Anyone had issues using the B1G1 coupons at CVS? The cashier told me that I could not use the coupons since the beverages were already B1G1… Anyone with similar experiences? Should I just try another CVS location? Thanks!

Re: DONATION of glucose monitors: does anyone know of an organization that accepts “new in box/never used” glucose monitors? I would like to donate the one from CVS this week but don’t know who to call.

    • nancy

I was blessed. the clearance lady did a good job and then I opened my mail box to see an enolope of clipped Q and two were for soy joy. WoW. I was so excited. My husband laughed at me. But now I have 12 ecbs and 10 for the aveeno deal.

    • lynn

1 ideaaaaaaaaa for the meter donation would be your local homeless shelter or womans shelter a battered woman often leaves with only the clothes she and the kids are wearing

    • Jane

Aymie – How did you use 4 bogo and $2/10 when you only bought 10 soyjoy bars? Wouldn’t you have to buy 14 items for that to work? Does CVS have different rules for this? I am sorry but I am confused.

    • lynn

sorry my a got stuck….. jane she was buy 10 soy joy they are a1.00 a piece so the firsst coupon she would givw the cashier would be 2 off of 10 then the other coupons ……………. i had the same coupons so made it a sweet deal

    • lynn

ax perhaps that cashier was mis informed had no problem like that here try another or ask the manager that is a ligit sale

I didn’t know where else to post this… I know a lot of our readers read under the CVS posts… and I know Jenny is busy right now so I wanted to give you all a heads up in case she doesn’t get my email.

    • Brandy

Jenny, I have a question about the meters. My aunt actually uses this meter so I kept my coupons and bought three of them today for her. I was able to use three coupons on them so I only paid the tax…along with the other stuff I got too. What I didn’t think about until after I got home, was can I do three rebates together from one receipt. I have tried to call the company, but can’t seem to get through to them. I got one person on the phone who wasn’t sure, but did say that I could do the rebate over the phone and then just mail the receipt in. If anyone knows, please advise. I can alwasy take it back and do a return and purchase on the same receipt, but hate to go through the trouble if I don’t have to. Thanks!

I’m kinda new to this site. I’ve couponed for years but never as seriously as I am now. I had gotten ECB in the past and never used them, mainly because I forgot about it before I found something else at CVS that I needed. I’m so proud of my recent try with them and just had to tell someone.(My husband thinks any money I save is great but doesn’t get too excited about the details.)

My first trip to CVS was on Sunday. I had 2 coupons for $1.00 off Almay that expired on Suanday. I only had time to drop in quickly and take advantage of this one deal (I had to pick up my husband at the airport).

      I got:
      2 Almay Products 13.99 each
Used a $10.00 ECB from last week
Also bought another Almay item that was 75% off at $3.49(I’m a sucker for a 75% off sticker)
      Paid $20.76
      Got a $20.00 ECB
      Final cost was .76

Today I went back and got:
      5 Soyjoy bars $1.00 each/coupon for $1.00 off 5
Tylenol Arthritis $4.99/coupon for $2.00 off
2 Natures Bounty products BOGO/coupon for $1.00 off each
      1 Lysol Spray at 2/$8.00 / coupon for $2.00
      Tumblers 2 at $1.00 each
      A Mouse trap $5.99
and a HagenDaz ice cream for the ride home at $2.99
Used the $20.00 ECB from Sunday

My total after coupons was $8.10
I got $6.00 in ECB back, $2.00 from the Tylenol and $4.00 from the Soyjoy. So I guess that means my final was $2.10

I was so excited about it. Now that I’ve heard about the Always sale price, I may be going back by tomorrow. I know I’ve got coupons for them around here somewhere.

CVS in Saluda, SC has 6 large cans of Similac powder on clearance rack. Price of each is $6.75. I think the original price was $24.

Is it just my CVS in Summerville SC or is every CVS out of every deal by Sunday afternoon? I am so tired of messing with rain checks every week.

    • Jane

Lynn – I still don’t understand how you can use the $2/10 soyjoy bars and then on top of that use the BOGO coupons? when you are only buying 10 items. I am sorry I am new to this can you explain it to me?

I was just reading a post that was talking about donating to a homeless shelter, woman’s shelter, etc. For all of those deals that you just can’t pass up but you don’t really need the item, my mother and i send them oversees to our soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. You wouldn’t believe how thankful they are to receive some of the most basic items that we take for granted. we started sending boxes over a year ago, way before i was couponing! using coupons just makes our boxes so much cheaper!! i really can’t use any more toothpaste, but i’m surely not going to pass it up for $.25…we know one of our soldiers will use it!! it’s a cheap and easy way to say thanks for what they do for us and to feel good about yourself for helping!! Just thought I’d share!

I have a choice of 3 things to do at CVS this week and I am not sure which is the best way to go….I thought maybe you could help me? I am in need to toilet paper and paper towels but the option I am getting them on is also the option costing me the most money – so I am confused on which way to go….you are so good at this, I thought you could help me pull it all together in my mind:

      Choice 1:
      Buy 1:

      5 Soy Joy Bars @ 5.00

      – Use $1.00/5

      · Total OOP – $4.00

      Ø $4.00 ECB

      Buy 2:

      5 Soy Joy Bars @ 5.00

      – Use $1.00/5

      – Use $4.00 ECB

      Ø $4.00 ECB

      Buy 3:

      5 Soy Joy Bars @ 5.00

      – Use $1.00/5

      – Use $4.00 ECB

      Ø $4.00 ECB

      Buy 4:

      5 Soy Joy Bars @ 5.00

      – Use $1.00/5

      – Use $4.00 ECB

      Ø $8.00 ECB

      Buy 5:

      $10.00 Tresemme

      – $8.00 ECB

      · Total OOP: 2.00

      Ø $5.00 ECB

      Buy 6:

      Bounty Paper Towels @ 6.99

      – Use $5.00 ECB

      – Use $1.00 ECB

      · Total OOP: 1.00

      Total OOP – $7.00

After I put this deal together, I discovered I had a $4/$20 waiting in my in box; so then I come up with this:

      Choice 2:

      Buy 1:

      20 Soy Joy Bars@ 1.00 = $20.00

      – Use $4/$20.00 = $ 4.00

      – Use 4/$1.00 Q = $ 4.00

      * Total OOP = 12.00

      * ECB Earned = 20.00

(The one big thing that confuses me on this deal is that I am spending a 12.00 to make 8.00 – with the other deal I am only spending 4.00 to make 8.00)

      Buy 2:

      $10.00 Tresemme = $10.00

      1 Bounty P.T. = $ 6.99

      2 Diet Pepsi = $ 2.00

      Filler

      – Use 20.00 ECB

      – Use 1.00 ECB (Which I have carried over from last week)

      * Total OOP = $0

      * ECB Earned = $6.00 ($1.00 from 2 Diet Pepsi & $5.00 from Tresemme)

      Buy 3:

      1 Charmin T.P. @ 6.99

      – Use $6.00 ECB

      * Total OOP= $0

      * ECB Earned = $0

      Total OOP: $12.00

My third choice involves waiting until Sunday to finish up – the manager @ my local store is really good about giving the sales paper early so I know some of the deals coming my way!

      Buy 1:

      $10.00 Tresemme = $10.00

      – Use $1.00 ECB (held over from last week)

      * Total OOP = $9.00

      * ECB Earned = $5.00

      Buy 2:

      20 Soy Joy @ $1.00 = $20.00

      – Use $4/$20

      – Use 4/$1.00 Q

      – Use ECB $5.00

      * Total OOP = $7.00

      * Earned ECB = $20.00

      Buy 3 (Sunday):

      3 Brawny P.T. @ 6.99 = $21.00 (Earn $2.00 ECB on every one bought lt. 3)

      – Use 3/.50 Q

      – Use 20.00 ECB

      – Total OOP = $0

      * ECB Earned = $6.00

      Buy 4: (Sunday):

      1 Cottonelle @ 6.99 = $6.99

      – Use 1/$1.00 Q

      – Use $6.00 ECB

      * Total OOP= $0

      * ECB Earned = 0

      Total Spent on Shopping: $16.00

I know this is a lot to take in and I hope I wrote it out where it was simplest to understand….if you have any questions for me, let me know – any help is appreciated!!

When it says “Limit 1” (for example, the Mitchum deodorant) does that mean the you will only get the ECB for that item once …. or once per check out?

Meaning ….. if I made 2 seperate transactions buying the Mitchum deodorant would I still get the ECB’s each time – or just once?

      THANKS!

    • FYI – when making a purchase especially the Soy Joy please check out the expiration date. I was in a CVS on yesterday 06/24/09 and all the Soy Joys’ in the only box on the shelf had expires 04/09/09, please take the extra second to do this. Thank you.

    • lynn
