My Grand Plan. These are the deals that I plan to do with the coupons that I have. I know everyone hates having to do lots of little transactions, but it really is for a good reason. Our goal is keep the transactions equal to the amount of ECB’s that you have. Think of it as a “CVS cash” based society and you don’t want to get up there and not have enough money to pay! This week I’m starting with $5 ECB again.

Buy:
(1) Vinyl Binder $3 ea
(1) CVS Filler Paper $2 ea
-$5 ECB
Total Due: Nothing
Get Back: $5 ECB
Repeat transaction again!

Buy:
(2) CVS Pencils 24ct $1.99 ea
(1) CVS Memo Book .99¢
(1) .05 cent filler
-$5 ECB
Total Due: .02¢
Get Back: $4.97 ECB ($3.98, .99¢)

Buy:
(1) CVS Memo Book .99¢ ea
(2) Paper Mate Pens 10ct .99¢
(1) CVS Pantiliner .89¢
(1) Speedstick Deodorant $2.99
Use:
-$1.50 off Speedstick
-$3.98 ECB
-.99¢ ECB
Total Due: .38¢
Get Back: $5.86 ECB ($2, $2.97, .89¢)

Use this towards the FREE Picture Movie or hold onto it for next week.

As a teacher, I want to thank you for posting your plans. I get together with my team every Friday to discuss the plan and by Sunday afternoon we’ve all made our trips to CVS and have a good amount of supplies for September. Thank you again. :-)

    • My cousin was so excited about getting school supplies from me…seems like i can do the deals again this weeks…hopefully

    • Ashley

You have in the scenerio a .05 filler. What do you usually use for something like this?

    • Becky

Hey, Jenny. Did you get an email from CVS with a $4/$20 purchase that expires 7/19? I was trying to figure out the best way to use it. Plus, I have $7 EB from last week. Any ideas? Thanks!

    • Brandi McCandless

      Just an FYI***
I found a tearpad in a local gas station (and hae seen them in several conv. stores)
For Buy 2 Gatorade (32 oz) and get a free bag of Doritos (99¢ value)
I plan on using these with the B1G1 Free Gatorade deal…so I will basically buy 1 gatorade and get another plus a bag of Doritos for FREE!!!

    • Thanks Jenny! I’m starting the week w/ $8 ECBs but I’d also like to snag the Bandaids/Neosporin if I can, or a backpack to donate… trying to decide on that final transaction.

    • Veronica

      Jenny,
I get the Tennessean and we only got a .50 cent coupon for the bandaids. I never seem to get the higher dollar coupons that you get. Last week I only got $1.00 off Tylenol in my paper and you had the $2.00 off. Anyway, that’s a bummer but you have still helped my family save 30% off our grocery/toiletry budget this past month and it was my first month couponing! Our month is the 15th-15th. I also have a nice stock of things (for me) that we’ve never had before! Thanks so much for the work you put into your website. You are a blessing from God. This month we’re going for more than 30%!!!

    • I’m still confused about the Sobe water deal. Do you only buy the two waters and get both for nothing or do you have to have 3 waters(buy 1 and 2 are free)? Did that make sense?

    • lynn

Jenny i see you have no plans here to include the book bags will there be a better deal on them later? thank you so much for everything

      • Jenny

        Lynn,

There is not a better deal on them, I just don’t need them for my 4 year olds :) If you do need them then you use the ECB’s from the last transaction to get one or grab one after your DVD purchase.

    • Adele

I have a $5/$30 and $16 ECB to start with so here is my plan. We need cat litter, so that is a great filler for us.

      (2) Vinyl Binder $6 ea
      (2) CVS Filler Paper $4 ea
      (2) CVS Memo Book 1.98
      (2) Paper Mate Pens 10ct 1.98 earn 1.98 ECB
      (3) Raincheck pencils .99 2.97 earn 2.97 ECB
      (1) Cat Litter 7.99
      (1) Duracell Batteries at $2.99 Limit 1
-$1 off Duracell Batteries RP 6/28, 7/12 (makes it .99¢) Earn 1 ECB
      (1) CVS/pharmacy Pantiliners 22 ct. at .89¢ Free Limit 1 Earn 1 ECB
      (2) Gatorade, Sobe at $1.59
-.50/1 Sobe Life Water tearpad in CVS (didn’t figure this one in)
      $30.39 plus tax

      Use: $5/$30 and $16 ECBs
      Total Due: 8.39 plus tax
      Get Back: 18.93 ECB

    • Jennifer

I know I have seen this explained on here before but I cannot remember where. Can someone explain how the B1G1 coupons on a B1G1 sale make hte item free? Thanks!

    • Jenny
Can you explain how the Kodak DVD works??
Is it like a slideshow of pictures with music??

    • stacia

Just went to CVS to get the purex, razor, and tylenol deals…along with some soda. The clerk wouldn’t take my internet coupons!! (I live in middle GA area) He said they just started a new policy that you have to have the ENTIRE page with the URL at the top or bottom, not a cut-out coupon!! I couldn’t believe it. I’ve always used internet coupons there. I hope this doesn’t happen anywhere else, I have so many coupons already cut out.

    • david

wow i have really lucked out this week the total for all the school suplies is 17.97 well i have 9.00/5.00/4.00/1.00/1.00/.99/.99 ecb from last week total of 17.99 boy i love this site thank you so much southern savers/ jenny

    • caitlin

I too am starting to have some trouble with CVS, they’ll still let me use internet coupons, but they will not let me use ECBs the same day they get them, so unfortunately last weeks deals now have me with $40 in ECBs. I live in Atlanta, is anyone else having these problems? If so, have you been able to find a way to resolve it?

    • Jenny, I have a question. Today I got a $3 off $15 coupon emailed to me. I went to get Scott TP, Tylenol, and a photo book. The subtotal was something like $18, but they wouldn’t let me use the coupon. Something about you can’t use the $ off coupon when there are ECB’s printing back or something odd like that. Am I missing something or were they? The clerk also gave me trouble with the rest of the checkout, so I suspect it was just her not having a clue, but the coupon wouldn’t scan, so I didn’t know if maybe I was doing something wrong. Thanks again for all your hard work. Zonya

    • Zonya
I dont see why they would give you trouble.
I used a $5 off $15 today and my total was $22 before I used it, then after a few QP’s and ECB’s my new total was around $5 and they didnt give me trouble whatsoever. And I only bought things that would give me ECB’s.

    • lynn

thank you Jenny sounds wonderful and thanks for all your hard work

    • Elaine

Today at Bi-Lo, my groceries were $81.14 before coupons, then minus $43.97 in coupons! It sure was nice only paying $38.17! Then went to CVS and the clerk commented on what a great deal I was getting on the Huggies and Tylenol: $2 off, $1.50 off and then $6 ECB. With the $3 ECB back that was only .48 OOP! Great day for shopping. Thanks for all the help Jenny and everyone!

    • Does anyone know if the prices for things on the CVS website are even close to the ones in stores? I’m trying to guesstimate the prices for the Neosporin/Bandaid deal and the cheapest Bandaids I see are $3.29-$3.99. The Neosporin is running $5.40-$8 depending on type/size.

    • Rebecca

      Jennifer,
When you buy the SOBE waters you buy one and you get the other one free. When they scan them they both ring up $1.59 (or whatever price depending on where you live) until you scan your CVS card so it shows you buying two then getting $1.59 off, then the coupon makes one free as well so it takes off another $1.59 off the bottom of the reciept so both are free. I am not sure if I explained it in a way that makes since but I have used the coupon twice and it worked bothed times. I hope this helps! :)

    • Katie

FYI two weeks ago when this deal was on I actually got a .99ECB so I made ten cents

      .89¢ ECB wyb CVS/pharmacy Pantiliners 22 ct. at .89¢ Free Limit 1

    • Kristie

Katie I did the same, in Goose Creek I’m having fun and getting others hooked on Southern Savers. YEAH Jenny for helping us make it work!

    • Sloan

Does anyone know if the Sobe coupons will reset? I printed two the last time they were B1G1 at CVS and now I can’t print them again. We LOVE those Lifewaters!

    • How does the CVS register know which ECB to use? Like if one product gives me 20 ECBs and another gives me 4 ECBs. The next day I go with receipt and purchase something for $4.99 with ECBs. Will it automatically choose the 5 ECB or may it choose the 20 ECB and leave me with only the 5ECB instead of taking it from the 5 ECB?

    • I screwed up last time I commented. I meant if I had a $5 and $20 ECB not $20 and $4 sorry

    • Kim

For those of you having trouble using internet printables or ECBs just earned the same day, PLEASE call corporate (nicely) while you are still there. They will straighten it out for you with the staff. They have the best coupon policy and are glad for us to be shopping at CVS, and everyone plays by the same rules (except for competitor coupons – that one depends on the district manager). Please don’t give up. Those stores are misinformed.

    • Katherine

If you are in the Atlanta area and get the mailsouth monthly in the mail, there is a coupon for b1g1 free speed stick pro in the paper this month. I plan to use it with the school supplies and $4 off $20 coupon to get LOTS of items FREE!!!!

    • Juliett

Where do the $5 off $30 Q come from??? I have never seen those. Thanks! Still pretty new to CVSing…

    • Catherine

Linda – ECB’s are actually printed out at the end of your current purchase’s receipt. You must hold onto them and present them the next time you make a transaction. You decide which one (value) to use. Don’t use a ECB that’s value is greater than the purchase amount. You lose the extra. :)
It’s really easy to do. Just keep up with the receipts.

    • Jasmine

Can you use a CVS coupons that prints at the bottom of your receipt with a Manufacturer coupon?

    • Jasmine

Can you use a $5 off $30 and a $3 off $15 on CVS products? Thank you :)

    • I’m starting the week with $11 ECBs (a $10 & a $1) and I really don’t know what to do with them. I don’t need any of the items on the list…I mean not even in a stock up scenario because they are just things we don’t use. Should I just wait for next weeks flyer & hope for items I need? The ECBs are good until 8.12.09.

Also, I earned free milk & my coupon didn’t print when I was there. The employee said his didn’t print for 2 days & he didn’t know why. Anyway, do I just use the machine at the front of the store to get my coupon (or whatever you call it)? I’ve never used the machine before. I’m really new at this.

    • I have another question! Did anyone else earn a $1 ECB on milk this past week? I don’t recall seeing it on the list last week, but I earned it at the store. (A very pleasant surprise!) Do they have ECB items that they don’t publish?

    • Dai

I bought milk this past week, and also received $1.00 ECB, it was posted on the freezer doors at the store.. .

    • Beth

      Anne-Marie,

I don’t really need school supplies either (my twins are 1), but I plan to use the ECBs I have to get the school supplies and then get the same amount of ECBs back. That way I get free school stuff that I can give to my neighbor’s kids and I’ve just extended the expiration date on my ECBs by one week. A few times I’ve hung onto ECBs hoping for a great deal on something I love and almost had them expire. Hope that helps you decide.

    • Katrina

To all struggling with CVSing. . .

Hopefully, this is the best place to ask my question. Also maybe someone can commiserate with me for being a CVSing failure. Every time I go, I always spend much more OOP than anyone else despite planning and having the required coupons. It seems the products are gone and my life does not allow for me to go to every CVS in my area to find them. My most recent failure is the photobooks. I had a grand plan to make 5 and had my thumbdrive all organized when I went to the closest CVS this AM. I had waited until Sat, so my husband could stay with my kids and I would have time to make them nice.

They were out of the book binders, and the clerk said that all the other local CVSs were as well. She gave me a raincheck for one book, but said if I really had intentions to do 5 that I would have to get rainchecks at 4 other stores. So I took that raincheck and planned to swing by 4 other stores later that day on our way home from another event. I didn’t actually have time to make the books later because kids and husband were waiting in the car. WELL, the other stores all actually had the covers, so I couldn’t get more rainchecks. So after we got home at 8:30, I grabbed the thumbdrive and drove back to the second closest one to make at least one book. The kiosks were all full and no one was close to being done. To drive to the next one would have left me about 15 minutes to actually make the book before they closed at 10. So I did gave up. I did a little CVSing, but of course, I ended up spending more out of pocket than I supposedly could have according to all you brilliant CVSers. I am 9 months pregnant and I just waddled around CVS feeling stupid and cranky. Grrr.

My question is this . . . if I only have one raincheck, is there any way in which I can still make the first photobook and then roll the ECBs to make more 4 more? If not, I guess I will get one and I should be happy with that. I’m just disappointed because it seems like it doesn’t matter if I go early or late in the week; something goes wrong.

On the upside, the shift supervisor was very nice and did tell me that though she’s never known them to give ECBs for the books like this, she had heard they were going to be B1G1 in a few weeks. So if you have a raincheck for one, maybe hold onto it until then.

    • connie

If you don’t need the school supplies, consider donating them to a school or a food bank. Children are really going to be needing school supplies this year with the economy. Teachers always take up the slack, lets help them!! :)

    • Well went again to my CVS in Florence SC. They only had the pencils. The girl at the register told me you could start purchasing the school item at 4:00. great I thought, but like I said all they had was pencils. They didn’t get the other stuff in. So I had another bad
      trip to CVS.

    • Teresa-QOCD

Katrina, Where you at? If you are around Laurens, SC maybe I can help. Dont get disgusted! You will need these stores to help with future supplies.

    • I found at my CVS unadvertised clearance, the Bic Soleil Razor with Free 4pk Refill Handle Purchase.
It has a red ribbon around it and says FREE in big letters.

Use the scanner at your store to see if its indeed on unadvertised clearance, it was 2.99 at mine.
I used $3.00 coupon from 6/28 SS and got it for free!

Since the coupon was for 3.00 it did beep, and the cashier had to adjust the coupon down to 2.99.

This worked out great for me because I had to get my total up to use my 4/20 coupon.

    • Momof5

I’ve never had this happen before, but I got a $4 off $20 coupon that printed on my receipt and another one through my e-mail. Does anyone know whether I can use them both on the same $20+ transaction or could I only use one at a time?

    • lynn

i have been told i could only use one at a time but i would check with your store i have heard people say they could use more than one so good luck

    • My store does not have a scanner. They did not know what I was talking about. I felt kind of dumb. Are they suppose to have one?

    • Meagan

I have a $4 0ff $20 coupon. Should I just combine everything or ? I also have $5.98 ECB from last week. HELP!

    • Meagan

      ETA: The 4 off 20 exp 7/28

    • Carrie

I am in need of Baby products. I’m going to use part of my extra bucks for the $2.99 Johnson and Johnson Baby Shampoo and Desitin with the $1 off coupon at http://www.johnsonbaby.com makes each one $1.99. Does anyone know where to find more coupons to use at CVS for these products?

    • Katherine

I LOVE my CVS!!! My brother is getting married next summer and I need to lose about 40 lbs. I have been researching Alli and already have a gym membership, so I figured August 1st would be my start date. I had the ECB from the school supplies and razor last week, $19 in expired ECB and the $4 off $20 email coupon. I scanned my card and got a $10 off $50 coupon. I bought the Alli, paper and pens (only school supplies they had left), and 2 speed stick pro deodorants. I only had the $10 Alli coupon and B1G1 on the deodorant manu coupons. they used ALL of my coupons (both CVS coupons too!!)and all of the ECB (even the $19 in expired ones). I paid OOP $.98 and got $19.98 back in ECB!!!! YAY for FREE weight loss!!!

    • Dai

I had a great run at CVS today! they were out of some of the school stuff but I just bought extra of other items.

      I started out with 8 ecb’s

I got some school supplies, reznuzits, milk, (4) sobe waters, cvs water.

      About $23 – coupons and ecbs = OOP = $2.45

Thank you for all the hardwork you do and for this site. It is wonderful, we truly appreciate it!!!!

    • Meagan

I messed up. They were out of several things so I had to reconfigure and then I messed up at checkout. I spent $8 oop but got back $11xx in ECBs. Oh well. Better luck next week! Thanks for the great site.

    • Teresa

CVS in Lexington was pretty much cleared out of the free school supplies by 8:00 this morning. Bummer.

    • Charlotte

Teresa, are you in Laurens? My parents live there and I grew up there…I was telling dad about these deals, but he said there is no CVS in Laurens. Charlotte

    • Jill

      Am I missing something hear.

      Scenario:

Bought 1 package CVS Pencils 1.99
      Used 1.98 ECB
      Total OOP : .01
      Received 1.99 ECB

      Next transaction:
      1 CVS Memo book .99
      1 1″ 3 ring binder 3.00
      Used 3.98 ECB
      Total OOP .12 (.01 + .11 tax?)
      Received 3.99 ECB

      Next transaction:
      1 CVS Memo book .99
      1 1″ 3 ring binder 3.00
      Used 3.99 ECB
      Total OOP .22 (tax?)

      Next transaction
2 CVS Filler Paper 2.00 each
      Used 3.99 ECB
      Total OOP .23 (tax)

Is it just me or was this just completely inconsistent. Would you call corporate about this. Shouldn’t tax be charged on the subtotal?

    • Debra

I just wanted everyone to heed the warning. I went into my CVS in Sanford NC and I had my deals all worked out (very similar to the ones on here but a little tweaking). When I got to CVS we had a hardtime finding binders. They were in the summer aisle not with the other binders. The memo books weren’t marked (sale tag w/ ECB’s), the pencils weren’t marked (even though they were out of stock). I had a very difficult time figuring out the correct items. The WARNING I have is PLEASE check your local CVS ad. The filler paper was on sale at my CVS for $2.00 and they had that tagged but there was NO ECB’s on the Filler paper AND it was NOT advertised in my local CVS ad. I didn’t attempt to get it b/c I do not have a school aged child and was only getting them for donation. I figured I would try and wait a few days and see if they put a sign up for ECB’s back on the filler paper.

    • lynn

the cvs here only had book bags starting at 19.99 and only had 4 of them i asked the manager why and was told because it is considered a low volume store so no book bags today if any one finds a good deal on them please share thanks

    • Anom Lee

I agree about calling corporate. I’ve already done this for two other stores–Harvey’s and Rite Aid and they were VERY nice. Both problems were solved quickly and they both use internet coupons (cashiers told me otherwise). I then received letters from the corporations apologizing.

I, too, had a hard time finding the binders. I went to ask the cashier about them and she went to look, too. Apparently, they hadn’t stocked them yet. NONE of the free things were marked, so I went to get an ad and got the things in the ad.

For the picture DVD, I tried it out, just to see how it worked. It’s a picture DVD – bring in 20-60 photos to download to a DVD. You then pick a song that they have there to put to the DVD. Kind of like a little slide show. I’ll have to go back to make them. Has anyone used it yet? I wanted to know if it was like the photobooks where the limit was actually 5 instead of 1.

    • Stacie

      Jenny~
Is there a reason you’ve only worked one of the vinyl binders in your deal? It says at the top that the limit is 2?

    • Stacie

OOOPS!!! Never mind, it says to repeat the transaction! Silly me!! Sorry about that! Thanks for your hard work!

    • Rachel

Thank you so much for your post it helps a bunch!

The news paper I get here in Fort Myers in News Press, which seems to always be lacking alot of the flyers. Also when I match your prices it seems ours are 15-30% more! So alot of your freebies arn’t so free. :(

But please keep on keeping on!
      Rachel

    • I did GREAT at CVS this week, but it was weird checking out. The computer would say how much ecb’s it could take, and the dollar amounts were weird. The manager said it was because they still want you to pay sales tax on the full amount when you use manufacturer’s coupons and ECB’s, but it was confusing. I would repeat a transaction but couldn’t just hand over the ecb’s that had printed out for the exact same item (like in the past). The manager would have to decrease the ecb amount then I paid a buck or two, sometimes just 11 cents (which I know was not sales tax on precoupon amounts because I had $10 original price in that transaction). Made no sense but I got a ton of stuff for free this week and still have an ecb in my wallet. Save your little ecb’s because it’s easier to piece them together if this happens to you. The large ecb’s and when the register totals them into one ecb made it confusing to check out.

FYI – the register in my store accepted the $3/3 J&J coupon that expired on the 14th. I always ask if the coupon expired less than a week before. I was able to get 3 large bottle J&J products for $2 (paid for with an ECB of course!)

Also, if you buy something on clearance, the computer gives you credit for the original price, a nice perk when it calculates your 2% back!

    • claudine

my CVS had a shelf marked 75% off. Well there was the airwick freshmatic ultra started kit. I scanned it and it rang up as $3.25. I knew about the $4 dollar off printable, but didnt have it on me. I hid the item in an unsuspecting isle and went back later. I got it for free plus 75 cents overage towards my purchase. Yes it was a lil sneaky I agree! But keep your eyes out for that 75% off shelf!! What a great find!!

    • ET

I had some odd inconsistencies with my taxes too. On one transaction there were no taxes yet there was on the others….

    • Taryn

I, too, am very baffled by the tax issue. I had three transactions today – 2 charged tax for the full price and one charged no tax. Go figure.

    • Stacie

Ok, so I already went to CVS and got 2 binders, 2 filler papers, 2 packs of pens and one pack of pantyliners. I had 11.92 ECB left from last week, and paid .99 cent oop then got back $12.87 ($6 for the binders, $4 for the paper, $1.98 for the pens and .89 cent for the liners). I was pleased, but bummed at the same time! They were already out of pencils and memo pads, also the grip pens from last week that I have a rain check for. The truck runs Tuesday but they usually don’t get the stock put away until later that afternoon. I’m thinking of going ahead and grabbing rain checks, they don’t expire and there’s no rush for me to get them considering my kids are home schooled and already have most supplies needed! CVS here doesn’t open until 10 am on Sundays which is a problem for me because of church, but the manager said that there were a dozen people waiting already at 8 am, so the other supplies were gone then!!

      Quick question……..
Last week, I got a coupon that printed out on my receipt for $1 off of lady speedstick, can I stack that with the $1.50 off manufacturer coupon or do they allow that?

By the way, I had a weird thing with the taxes last weekend, I had 3 separate transactions and only had to pay taxes on 2!

    • KimP

      Stacie,

yes, the $1 off lady speedstick does work WITH the $1.50 off manufacturing coupon. I used it this morning and it scan both fine.

      -KimP

    • nancy

Yes you can stack store q with manufacturers. Also, Last week I had the same thing happen on the taxes. One store the person said I owed nothing. another said i owed 10 cents. I beleive it is the cashiers wanting us to pay. because if you get an ecb for 2.99 on a 2.99 item. then turn around and use it to by the something. Then you would owe nothing and would not cvs honer every dollar they give us isn’t that why they advertise “Free” after ecbs. and then allow us to buy the same product with their paper money. And I find that a lot of store do not advertise the sales in the store. I match what is in the flier. and then ask the cashier at check out and remember to stay calm if the price did not mark down. Just ask that the ad be honored or take it off. Do not buy it.

    • qponmom

I was able to go to CVS at 1pm today and found everything except for the binders (they did not come in on the truck but found them at a different location). There were 3 backpacks for $9.99 each. Didn’t get any because I didn’t need it. The cashier was very nice and said to check back on Tuesday when they get their truck for more backpacks and binders. The items were not marked. I like that because not having it marked, some people will not take the time to really look for items and that means a better chance of me getting what I need after church. I really wasn’t expecting to find anything since it was later in the day, but went to a CVS 20 minutes from my house. I was very pleased.
Thanks Jenny for all you do. I love this site!

    • qponmom

Forgot to mention that they had lots of summer items on clearance for 75% off (grills, coolers, fountains, lawn chairs, etc). There were red stickers on the items that indicated the price but it was more like 80-85% off, not sure who did the calculations for them. LOL
The summer toys were marked 50% off.

    • Janice

My CVS hasn’t stocked ANY of the school items during the last few weeks! You would think that since it is advertised in the sales flyer they would have to stock at least a couple of each item! :(

    • Teresa-QOCD

      Charlotte,
There is a CVS in Clinton about 2 miles down the road from Laurens. Its beside Bi-lo on hwy. 72. Not very busy and usually has the sale items in stock with courteous staff. Dont tell anyone…..my secret store

    • Amy in LA

Anne-Marie… or anyone who wants to know whether you should use extra bucks NOW or LATER… go to http://www.iheartcvs.com and you can see the ads in the next coming weeks. It’s under “weekly deals” on the right hand side, I believe. However, I do recommend using that site just for ads, and coming back to Jenny for her scenarios. She’s the best. :)

    • I went to 5 CVS in 3 different counties(i live less than a minute from 2 neighboring countie), and neither had all of everything I needed. I wanted to use $4/$20. Everything on my listd equaled $20.53. At the last store I decided to buy all the things they had and got a pack of water for the difference. 2morrow I will return it at another store to get the other items I need.

BTW, I got a raincheck for the photobook. Found a store today that had plenty of books. No one was there working the photo lab. What a bummer!

The only way to get sale items is to go early Sunday before dawn. They never have sale items in stock. Every manager had the exact same story.

    • Stacie and Nancy, I had a similar situation. On my side, the screen showed my total to be $.43. The cashier asked for $.07. I asked him to show me and sure enough his screen said $.07.

    • LOL…maybe I need to stop reading the post from the bottom up.

Way to go Claudine, my Kroger has a manager special table. I saw Renu solution for $3.29 for the large size. I ran home got my $2 off coupon, when I returned it was GONE! Maybe I need to carry my coupon case with me

    • Buffy

      Linda – (post 40)
I live in Darlington and our CVS is GREAT!! Most of the people who work there are also couponers and do their best to help you achieve the lowest possible price!! Try coming next door to Darlington and see if you like the experience better!

    • Angie

I also live in Darlington and let me pull out my soapbox for a moment. I was in there this weeekend trying to get the same bargains as the rest of us. However, I am shocked at the gall of people. I was behind someone who obviously had about 8 cards! I know that we all want to be able to take advantage of the bargains, but I know that I only want MY share and to be able for others to be able to take the same advantages. Overdoing will be the downfall of the goodness of this store. I read post after post about stores being out of the items. I no longer wonder why. It is a combination of low stock with a side order of greed. Please try and remember that everyone is going back to school and everyone wants the deals. Sorry to start Monday with an angry post, but it was awful!!

    • seacoastmom

      HI~

I did my CVS’ing Sunday morning and got the following:
      Start with $15ECB & $4/20
      1 Neutrogena foundation (50%off)= 5.99 had a $3q
      1 Neutrogena blush (50%off)= 6.49 had a $3q
      1 Neutrogena lip (50%off)= 3.99 had a $3q
      1 Neutrogena eyeduo (50%off)= 4.49 had a $3q
      1 Neutrogena eyeduo (50%off)= 4.49 had a $3q
      (2) filler paper $4 ECB
      (2) papermate pens $1.98 ECB
      (2) binders $6.00 ECB
      1 Colgate Max had $0.75 q $1 ECB
Then as an impulse for my GS Troop
      (11) First Aid travel Kits – which gave back 5 ECB

OOP Cost was $21.82 even after using my $4/20 & $15 starting ECB’s But I got back $18 ECBS!!!
      Saved: $61.91

The first aid kits were totally impulse but that’s ok because I came out with a few more ECBS. I’ve been hoping to get a good deal on makeup for a while and have been hoping to use the $3 coupons I’ve been collecting. Neutrogena must be discontinuing some of the colors but lucky for me the were ones I liked.

I’m not sure if I could have done the transaction any differently for a lower OOP :@) It was a GOOD CVS day.

    • Carolin

Possible FANTASTIC deal on Covergirl mascara. I went into CVS yesterday to pick up the free school supplies and almost free backpack. I don’t have children of my own, but right before school starts there is a backpack drive for needy children, and I couldn’t pass up this offer. I LOVE MASCARA. I had some covergirl coupons from previous PG inserts. I noticed that some of the products were 50% off. I picked up the Fantasic Lash mascara(red tube) and scanned it to get the price. To my delight it was only 64 cents. I used a 2/$2 from the PG insert and got 2 of them plus overage. I’m sure that this was a mistake. These mascaras are a lot more than $1.28 a piece.

    • Juliett

I think it depends on when they scan your ecbs. If they scan before they hit total then the ecbs come off first before the tax is calculated. Same thing happened to me yesterday. But, 69 cents for all those school supplies is still pretty good! Thanks Jenny!

    • I had to tweak my deals somewhat too. I’m still new to CVS too, but for everyone else I’ve already realized that the “Free after ECB” deals tend to go fast and the school supplies move like LIGHTNING! Seems that in that case your best bet is to hit up 24 hr store at midnight (earlier if the ECBs will print).

I went to 2 stores and couldn’t get the pencils or memo books at either. Both were stocking various binders in a middle aisle display with summer stuff on one side, and school on the other. The binders were NOT marked.

Also, the only $2.99 item I found for the J&J/Bandaid/Neosporin deal was the J&J cloth tape. Bandaids were starting at $3.29, and Neosporin at $5.69. I got the cheapest Neosporin and a pricier Bandaids to get to $10 on that.

    • Mal

Is it a good deal to buy Lubriderm at 6.99 with $1 q?

    • Beth

Has anyone had any luck finding the binders in the Gastonia area? I was at CVS at 8 am yesterday and they didn’t even know which ones were supposed to be on sale. I went to three other stores today and was not able to find them. Ant help would be appreciated!

    • Amber

Anyone have luck with the Alli coupon? It isn’t working for me! Thanks!

    • claudine

leonards- yes carry your coupon case with or…. :) or just be sneaky and hide the item somewhere until you return! I always have my coupons with me but you never really know which one you’ll need, you cant carry ALL of them ALL the time!

    • Lindsay

I absolutely LOVE CVS. I went in over the weekend to pick up my photobooks on Saturday. Got 5 8×10 books (reg Priced 14.99, got them in place of the smaller books because the kiosk wouldn’t read my thumb drive) for $2.14 and still got back the $8 ECBS for all of them!! Saved $73.00! Then went back on Sunday Morning before Church and got a backpack (9.99) and all of the schools supplies for $2.50 oop.

    • lynn

on the bandaids think small the first aid kits are 99 at most cvs mine are located in the trial sized section even though it is not a trial size product you would have to buy 11 of them at 99 cents each and if you have the one dollar coupon you can use them on this product you can use the 50 cent coupons also to make your out of pocket verry little have fun cvsing

    • Karyn

Has anyone tried to see if the photo dvd has only a limit of one per card? Thanks!!

    • Pamela

The pantiliners and pens have been on the ecb’s recently. Can you still get them again. Seems like the pens were on last weekend.

    • Ashley in FL

Does anyone know where the print out is for the speed stick? Jenny’s post says print limit reached. Thanks!!

    • Rebecca

My CVS was not giving out the rain checks for the Binder cause it is a school supply item, and they might not be getting anymore in. So the manager said he was not giving out the rain checks.

    • The J&J travel kits are great and part of the 5$ ECB back deal. They are only .99 cents and there is a $1.00 off coupon available at Walgreens. Total money maker.

If you can find 11 kits at one cvs buy them, use 11 coupons (the last coupon has to entered manually by the cashier because the others take off $1.00 even though the kits are .99, so the last coupon will be entered for .89) the purchase will be totally free & you get $5 in ECB. I did this at twice and earned $10 in ECB.

I used that to buy 3 packs of 12 of CVS double roll toilet paper on sale for $5.00 each. Used my $3 off of $15 CVS brand and my $10 in ECB to get some seriously cheap toilet paper. So, I guess you can say I bought band-aids for toilet paper!

    • seacoastmom

      Pamela # 89
I got the pens last week (paperMate Grips- 8 count) and I got the pens this week(different kind-10 count) I got ECB’S for both. Thankfully I think I am Done with B-T-S.

All my bandaid coupons said “except trial sized” so I didn’t try to use any, My favorite CVS is great about coupons, though if I get to the store later in the week sometimes they are out of stock.

      Angie #77
That stinks about the lady in front of you with all those CVS cards! Hope your next trip goes better!!

    • Forgot to add…

SOBE waters should ring up totally free. Also it says limit 6 but I think it’s not 6 total but 12 total since I bought 8 and didn’t have a problem.

Also, if you have scanner in your store watch out for some $2.00 off CVS nuts coupons. I have gotten one 3 times this week already. Use it to purchase 2 trial size packs that are .99 each so again, totally FREE and a great filler for those who need to reach a certain amount to use the $5 off of $30. They tend to be by the register or in the trial size area. Free, Chocolate covered Almonds, yum!

    • The coupons do say “except trial size” but the kits don’t ring up as trial sized. They are first aid kits just in the trial size section. The computer has no problem with them. If you wanted to be super safe use 10 coupons on 11 kits so the cashier won’t even have to manually adjust the last coupon. Still a great deal at 11 kits for $1 and $5 ECB.

    • I found a very nice CVS cashier today. She searched the stockroom for the binders, even as a delivery man came. After not being able to find them she gave me 2 of the $1.29 binders and also printed the $3 off ECBs for the trouble. She did mention that was an item they normally did not carry, I just hope they have everything next week!

    • If anyone has any J&J coupons for the first aid kits please email me!!!
      I unfortunately used all mine up a couple months ago… Found $3 off any 3 J&J products…
Went a little crazy at Target…
Would love even one if you have an extra coupon!!!!

    • What 40cents will buy at CVS… Two Listerine, one Aveeno Ageless, two bars of lever, two packs of Duracell batteries, one soft soap ensembles, 4 sobe waters, pack of orbitz…Didn’t really go in with a PLAN.

    • Travise
      Great job!
Explain to us how you did that!

    • david

i had the same problem with the binders,, here in fort worth texas i ask a sales clerk and she did some research come back and said she was going to ask the manager ,and i said please dont bother him she said its no bother, a few mins. later she come back and said the manager would sub a 5.49 binder i said ok thank you , went to check out all i had was the 2 binders cuse id just come from another cvs and thats all was left on my list went up to to pay and they said there is no charge handed me a recite for the total amount that i saved 10.98 i said thank you ,,, now that was a goog feeling id have to say ….

    • lynn

aymie go to your nearest wag they have the band aid coupons you are looking for that will make them free at cvs

    • dawn

      Lynn,

I am in Brandon so I hope I have similar Wags, where exactly is the coupon for the band-aids? In a dispenser? I am hoping to get out without the kids tonight:)

    • Kim

Can I use my $3 off CVS Brand coupons at Walmart or Publix?

    • lynn

dawn it has been in the 3 wags i have been to in the band aid section in a dispenser good luck

    • lynn

check your email i just had a 4 off 20 emailed to me that is odd for mid week so now i need a new plan to use it

    • dawn

      lynn,

thanks so much. I found the coupons at my Wags, but could only find 7 first aid kits. Still need 4 toward my 5 ECB. Everybody must have gone out for this deal. (I checked 4 other CVS!) Hopefully I can get a raincheck for these if I can’t find any more this week. Such a great deal!

    • dawn

Also, I did get the $4 off coupon by email!

    • Shannon in ATL

Make sure that you have your birthday registered with CVS, I received a 3$ off any purchase vias email this week on my Bday!

    • Helen

I just went to CVS to get the filler paper and the binders and both stores said they never got any of those in and they won’t give rain checks because they are not going to get them. So today, I went to 2 ingles and 2 cvs stores to get my freebies and non of the 4 stores had anything I went to get. UGH!!! Why do they advertise in the paper if not all stores will get the items. It make no sense to me! Again, sorry for the venting. It just takes time to do this and then when you can’t get anything on your list, it is a little frustrating. Thanks again to everyone who puts this site together, it is still a great tool. Now if CVS and Ingles would just get on board! LOL…. – Helen

    • I couldn’t believe it…today I made two transactions and got No, Nada, ZILCH coupons..LOL I can’t complain even though today was not as good as the 40 cent day…I did about 7 bottles of Listerine, 2 packs of the duracell, 2 sobe, 2 trident gums, and some other stuff for about 7 dollars….I have about one more trip to make, but before I go will check my other email account with them for the $ off $20.

    • lynn

DAWN you are verry welcome glad i could help make sure you get a rain check cause you can do this deal 5 xs if not i like to keep this coupon i case i need to boost for a 4 off 20 or something like that

    • Faith

Does anyone have a scanned copy of the sobe coupons? Mine expired on Friday. Please help. My e-mail address is carebear79@ymail.com

    • A scanned copy? A little confused isn’t that coupon fraud?

    • Tracy

      Beth-
I can’t find the binders or backpacks. Thanks for turning me on to this site!

    • Anom Lee

For the photo DVD’s it says Limit 1 in the paper. However, when you go to the store, the little cardboard stand they have says limit 5. Our CVS will let us make 5 and give the ECB’s. 60 photos work perfect for the DVD’s. Like the photobooks, it’s awesome.

    • lynn

faith you cant copy coupons and use them you could get into a lot of trouble for that when you print a coupon from a sit such as coupons, com or smart source you are print it throught the coupon printer so it scans you also get a unique code for each coupon those codes from what i understand also match your computor as the user/ printer of the coupon if that coupon then gets copied and used that person can be blocked in the future from printing ligit coupons… most coupons have a print limit of 2 if you have seen where people have been able to get more than those 2 that is usualy because they have the ability to use more than one computor . … i hope i have been able to explain this to where it make sense to you if you have any more questions please feel free to ask and some one on here will be more than happy to help you or at leastt lead you in the right direction to get the help…

    • Jeanne

which store did you do your cd at?

    • Jeanne

does anyone know if you can make the cds after the photo lab has closed….lexington, sc closes at 10 pm

    • Anom Lee

The photo DVD is not a CD… it’s a DVD with pictures and music. Kinda like a slide show. I did mine in Albany, GA and you may be able to make the DVD’s after the lab has closed because it’s at the Kodak kiosk. An associate just has to give you the DVD to stick in the machine when it’s almost done.

    • Charlotte

Thank you Teresa, That’s also not too far from Ingles, and I’m going to send hubby there while we are in town!!! Jenny, this site is SUCH a blessing to a family of 5 boys!!! God Bless!

    • Cindy

I went to Walgreens today and on the band-aid aisle they have a 1 page coupon booklet from Johnson & Johnson called the power to heal. In the booklet there is a $1.00 coupon and a $5.00 coupon. The $5.00 coupon is on UltraHeal multi day pads. I took 10 of these coupons to CVS and purchased 10 single pads for $5.49 each. Spent $4.90 plus tax oop and got back $25.00 in ECB!!!! My Walgreens in Lenoir City still has plenty of booklets and the CVS still has plenty of the pads.

    • Tarrah R.

WTG Cindy! I live no where near you, but will check my Walgreens for that booklet. That is one incredible deal, thank you so much for shareing!

    • lynn

what did it say on the pads so iget the right one?

    • lynn

do the single pads come in a box or paper?

    • Tarrah R.

Cindy- I got the coupons, but they are for the 3 or 4 packs which are almost $20; so unfortunately, I cannot knowingly do what you did now that I read the coupons small print. Sometimes, I wish I weren’t so observant and could do the deals like these.
