This is a great week at CVS.  These deals start Sunday 7/05, and you are not really going to want to shop early this week unless you have access to an early edition of the paper.  The entire ad seems to be brought to you by Procter & Gamble.  If you are looking at the deals and thinking why would she call this great, it is the scenarios below the deals that have me happy.  My plan this week — $87 for $1.50, including FREE diapers.

        Melissa,

You would need 4 items to use (2) $2/1 coupons and a $1/2 coupon. Sorry. You could

    • suzie

i have a CVS question, i always get the instore RB spend $50.00 get $10.00 off. when i went i got the wisk b1g1 and had two 1.00 coupons. i had included the price of 8.99 x 2 into my 50.00 however they said they had to scan my card so i had to spend an additional 8.99 to meet the 50.00 limit, what am i doing wrong…..

    • wendy

      Jodi,
I have the same issue with the post coupon. Never have been able to print this one. I have tried in different browsers. Just will not print.

    • wendy

      Suzie,
      You can’t

    • wendy

      Suzie,
Sorry I accidentally hit the enter button. You can only count one wisk $8.99 (not 17.98) toward the $50, because the other item is free. This is the way the computer looks at it. You can still use two coupon.

    • jo

Love the Starter Scenario, thank you!

    • Bobbie

This will be my first trip to CVS and was wondering if you can use a Rite Aid $5. off on $25. spent?
      Thank you for any information.

    • Suzanne

I am so excited for this week! I’m loving all the free school supplies they are doing in the next few weeks….that will help so much with my ds’s back-to-school shopping! Thanks for all your hard work, this is by far my fave site….I have directed all my couponing friends to it!

    • JEB

Has anyone seen Dove Heat Defense products in their CVS in the Columbia area? They don’t have them in mine. They are in an orange bottle.

    • Check here for 3 easy scenarios for the Febreezes and some other great deals. Check http://bit.ly/c7TyH

    • AngelathecouponNERD

      JEB –
I’ll look for the Heat Defense this weekend when I go to CVS in Columbia and let you know.

    • Ashley

Ok, can I use the $0.99 ECB I get from buying the pencils to buy more pencils. Or will it do the walgreens thing and not print them out?

    • Julie

I only have $4ECB to work with for this week so I’m going to do a few of the starter scenarios. I’m excited though, this should be a good week! We’re headed to a July 4th party tomorrow night so I may do a midnight run to make sure I get the tape and cereals (just feel like those will go quick).

Jodi, I had trouble with the Post coupon too. I finally got it to print off DH’s computer which is directly hooked to our home printer and cable-net. Was unable to get it to print at my office or off my home computer (both of which are linked to a printer & internet… through a network). Make sure the computer you’re trying has a direct line?

    • Ashley, ecb’s roll so you can use an ecb from one thing to buy the exact same thing.
      :)

    • Man, I wish our sales tax wasn’t so high! It makes the monitors almost not worth it, even with the $30q. :( (Hoping for a lower price with just as good bucks!)

    • Buffy

PLEASE HELP….if you can!! I want to do the Febreze deal this week and I am hoping to get 2 Fabric Refreshers and 2 Febreze Candles BUT – I didn’t start couponing until after the rebate book had come out…if anyone has 2/-$1.00 cpn for Febreze Fabric Refresher and/or 2/-$1.00 cpn for Febreze candle and willing to sale or trade – please let me know. Thank you!

    • JEB

If anyone sees the Dove Heat Defense products in the orange bottles, please let me know–in the Columbia or Lexington area. Thanks!

    • Brandi

I saw on HCW that CVS has the Bic Soleil (the one with the handle, 2 cartridges and 4 free cartridges attached) on clearance for 2.99. There were 3.00 coupons in last week’s SS, which means they’re FREE!!!! I only found 2 total in Spartanburg/Duncan. Thought I’d pass it along…

    • Sandee

Where did you get the $5.00 off 25.00?

    • Denise

      Hi! I don’t understand the Tampax Pearl deal. If I buy 2 @ $7 ea, that’s $14, less 4ECB is $10, less 2 $1 q’s is $8. That’s $4 ea. Right? What am I missing?

    • The $3 off Pampers diapers and wipes is labeled as a Target Store Coupon in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. Does anyone know if CVS will accept this coupon? It is a great coupon and I really want to use it.

    • Chelise

I had a deal idea, but I’m not sure if it would work or not.
      From up above:

3 Shampoos and use 3 $2.00 coupons to make them $1.33ea/$3.99 total.

1 Duracell Ultra Advanced 4 Pk since the total before coupons is $25+
For a grand total of $7.98?

      Thanks!

    • Kristan

THANKS SO MUCH for the starter info!! I have been eagerly looking forward to trying “CVSing” but I just started couponing a couple of weeks ago. Still trying to organize and stockpile my coupons! This site is fabulous!!

    • Brandy

This is probably a repeat question, but do you actually seperate your items and “checkout” 4 times and use the ECB’s from the previous purchase at the same visit?

    • Kim

Do the B1G1 items ring up half price? Can I use 2 coupons like I can at Harris Teeter?

    • Jaime

How do I even get the $120 savings rebate booklet? I keep seeing it listed but don’t know where you are getting it from? Also, what email do I sign up for to get these $5 off $25 etc.?

      Thanks!!

    • Kris

FYI- The $5 ECB’s for the CoverGirl isn’t printing. Be sure to check and ask for it to be printed manually. At my location, all the CG items ended up being on sale on top of the ECB’s.

    • Michael

I am with Jaime, where do you get the 120$ savings booklet?

      • Jenny

The $120 Savings Rebate booklet was a rebate promotion run by Procter & Gamble in early January. You had to submit receipts to P&G they would mail out one booklet per household that participated. It is no longer running but the coupons are good all year.

    • Jamie,
The $120 P&G Savings rebate book was an offer at the beginning of the year. If you spent $50 worth of P&G product earlier in the year and mailed in all the receipts, they sent you a $120 rebate book full of coupons. It is not available now. Sorry!

    • Don’t forget to scan your card or have it scanned by the cashier before you shop – every visit. Yesterday I got an instant ECB for $5.50 off (spent on the spot of course) then today another one for $1.50 off, which I used to purchase my first roll of free tape. I bought my pencils, sharpeners and tape as separate transactions (I was the only customer) so this deal was a money maker for me!

Also, don’t forget to use any $2 off $10 CVS brand purchase coupons that might have printed up for you – make the pencils etc a real money maker.

And, lastly, if you don’t need the freebies, don’t forget charities or just making a donation to a school since not all the kids can buy the supplies on their lists.

    • Tracy

Hey! I was just wondering how you guys get soooo many of the manufacturer’s coupons. One of the scenarios above said to use 8 coupons and these were coupons from the inserts. Do you buy 8 newspapers to get them or what? Thanks so much!

    • Happy shopping all!

Thanks so much to Jenny and others who help out here. I went to CVS this morning and got a great deal – at least, one I’m super excited about! I only had 7 ECB’s so had to pay out of pocket a fair bit, but we recouped more ECBS than we paid, so it was a net gain of almost $5.

I had coupons for everything except the tape, thanks to Jenny!

      3 Post Trail Mix Crunch
      2 Hellmans
      2 Dawn
      2 Olay Body Wash
      3 CVS tape
      1 Bayer Meter
      1 Colgate Sensitive Toothpaste

      Total OOP: $19.90
      Total ECB earned: $24.47
      Gain: $4.57!

    • Teresa

Just back from CVS got the Schick razor and refills
refills were 10.99 razor 9.99 so the razor rung up free, cashier said she could take both the $4 coupons for the razor and the refills, for a total of 2.99 not bad!

    • I have a CVS question & don’t see anywhere else to ask it.

My CVS coupons say $2.50off CVS Brand Purchase of $12 or more. Does that mean I need to buy $12 in CVS brand products to use the coupon? I just recently noticed this (haven’t been CVSing very long), but I know I have used them on non-CVS brand products. Maybe me store just doesn’t care?

    • lynn

tracy you can get extra news papaers from family friends neighbors who ever you know who doesnt use the coupons or you can swap with a friend who needs the diaoers and maybe you dont but you need something eles i buy 2 papers myself and get the rest from relitives

    • lynn

looks like i amgetting alot of rain checs this week as all the school stuff was sold out . so was the freebreeze noticables…… and head and shoulders ……… should have gotten there earlier i just wonder why the stoes dont order extra stock on some of this that they know will go fast

    • chopsmom

My ad doesn’t show the ECB deal for the Bayer monitors, instead it shows Accu-check. Is this the same thing or is it a regional deal?

I bought the CVS brand pantiliners this morning at .89 and received a .99 ECB so it’s a small mm!

      • Jenny

The Bayer monitors are not in the weekly ad. They are advertised in the month long Clipless coupon book that will be right inside the front door of CVS. They are towards the middle of the book.

    • Jen

Just got back and got a pretty good deal (ended up making money)! I started out with two $10/$50, which when I first started getting a month or two ago didn’t think I could use very well, but I paid a somewhat large oop once and after that I’ve done really well with very small oop. For today, this is what I did.

      First transaction:
4 Febreze noticeable $6.50, minus four $4 coupons
3 Febreze Fabric Refreshers $5, minus two 0.50 coupons from Home Made Simple coupon book
3 Febreze Air Effects, minus three buy Fabric Refresher, get Air Effetcts free

Total: $50, minus $10/$50, minus coupons ($26 in coupons total) = $14 plus tax. Payed with $14 ECB and about $1.75 oop for tax. Got back $25 ECB!

      Second Transaction (needed contact solution):
      3 CVS tape $4.47
3 CVS 10 ct pencils $2.97, (I tried the mechanical ones that are on sale for 0.99, but they did not produce ECB so I had to exchange for wooden ones).
      1 CVS pantiliner $0.89
2 Olay body wash $12, minus two $2 coupons
      1 Opti-Free contact solution $14.99, minus one $3 coupon
2 Dawn soap $2, minus one 0.25 and one 0.50 coupon (Home Made Simple booklet)
4 Head and Shoulders Shampoo/Condition $19.96, minus two bogo coupons and one $2/2 (deal limit is 3, but this way ends up as a total of $1.96 after ECBs)

Total: $57.28, minus $10/$50, minus coupons ($19.73 in coupons total) = $27.55 plus tax.
Paid with $25 ECB from first transaction and $2.49 ECB and $1 ECB, which made my total go negative before tax (I’ve never had that happen, cashier told me total before tax was more than ECB), total oop was $0.38 for the tax.
Got back: $22.43 in ECB, so cost about $5.50 in ECB/tax for entire transaction

So combined I netted about a $3.75 profit for the two transactions combined! I could have done even better if I could have gotten some more trail mix crunch coupons, but I could only get 1 to print and I don’t like the raisin kind, which is all they had, so I figured it wasn’t worth it!

    • Jennifer

Before I go over there, does anyone know the answer about using the $1.50 Bounty/Charmin coupon from SS 6/21 that says it’s a Target coupon? Can we use this at CVS? Thanks!

    • Amanda

Anyone who is curious about the Head&Shoulders Q the cashier at the CVS (cleveland TN) just typed in my head&shoulders Q for &2/2 and I got to use my B1G1. At first it beeped and I said it probably won’t work because one is free, but her thought was you are still buying two, but she may have just been in a good mood :)( she is always really nice!!) If you are still worrisome about it you could try giving the &2/2 Q first then the B1G1.

    • Veronica

I am in serious need of HELP from you couponers out there!!! I am fairly new to this and have only gone to CVS twice so far just to start getting my ECBs. I drove 10 miles today to my nearest CVS becasue I was ready to get some good deals.

I went in with $8.50 ECBs in the form of $1, $1, $1.50, $2, $3. When I went to do my first transaction, (2) Head & Shoulders using my B1G1 coupon, I then tried to pay the remainder with $4 ECBs, the $1, $1, & $2. I knew I’d have to pay some cash because of tax too. The clerk then told me he couldn’t accept more than one more “coupon” and I could only use one of my ECB “coupons” since I only had two items on that transaction. I told him I didn’t know that the ECBs were “coupons” I thought they acted as money. He said he couldn’t do it. What is up with that?

I thought I could use my ECBs as money and they weren’t coupons? I was so upset, I put all my stuff up and left the store with nothing. I’m not a confrontational person and knew I’d just get upset if I asked to speak to a manager, and I’m new to this.

Did I do something wrong or did my clerk just not know what he was talking about? I had a buggy full of stuff and had worked everything out and was so excited. Somebody PLEASE help me. My store was in Tullahoma, TN. I have read and studied all the blogs’ tutorials on CVS and was sure I was right.

      Somebody PLEASE help me!!!!!

    • Jeanne

Can anyone help me out? I have a bayer coupon but it was only 40% off (not 19.99) which meant after the coupon that I would have to pay $5.24. Plus it did not say that I would receive ECB. Can anyone help clear things up for me?

      • Jenny

        Jeanne,

Grab the Clipless coupon book at the front of your CVS store to help you find the right one and then when you check out use the book if needed to get the sale price and ECB’s. The book is good for then entire month of July.

    • Allison

I went to cvs this week and got the dawn. I had two p&g coupons for $1.50/1 dawn essentials and they worked for this dawn even though it is not the essentials. It makes this deal a moneymaker. I also had two bogo coupons for the febreeze fabric refresher. I only got two by accident but both coupons went through which made them both free plus $5 in ecbs. Hope these will work for someone else too.

      2 transactions
      Total $55 +change
      $22 ecbs in pocket
      $1.34 oop
      left with $26.50 in ecbs
      GREAT WEEK at cvs
thanks for all you do on your site it is wonderful when getting ready every week

    • Sharon

Poor Veronica!! I’m new to this, too, but I haven’t had anyone at CVS tell me anything like that. Either this CVS is really ticky with the coupons, or the guy was new and didn’t know what was going on. Please don’t give up! I’d call and ask a manager at that store or go to a different one. Maybe even call CVS corp. customer service. That might be easier for you than asking someone face-to-face.

    • Tanya

When I printed out the Post coupons, they did not have a bar code. Neither Publix or CVS would accept them. Did anyone else have this problem?

    • Kay

Where do you get your $3 of $15 coupons. I know you said you get them via email but where do I sign up for that?

    • Veronica

Thanks Sharon. I thought ECBs are used as “money” not coupons and it didn’t matter how many you used. I’m trying a different store tomorrow but I’m afraid they’ll be out of some stuff because it’s a bigger city. Anyway, I will try again! Thanks for the encouragement!

    • Bobbie

Lynn post #51. I was visiting my daughter this weekend and went to a CVS that I had never been to before and this was my first time trying the CVSing. They had 3pks of pencils and one box of shredded wheat and none of the other cereal. I was the first person in the store when they opened. I heard one cashier tell another it was a good ad this week and I thought well if you don’t have the products you sure can’t sell anything.

    • Hi Veronica,

I have never had a clerk tell me they could not take ECB’s. You are correct that they are not coupons, they function like cash within the store (except for prescriptions, stamps and a couple other exclusions). Next time you go back to that store, I would suggest speaking with the manager first, before you choose your items. Then you’ll have backup if you run into trouble with checkout. Don’t give up! :-)

    • Michelle

The CVS I hit this weekend also had their Hyland’s Cold and Cough products for children at 75% off! I also got a bunch of the Pedicare Vapor Plugs with refils for $2.20!

    • I used the H&S BOGO Q and the $2/2 Q with no problem today. I only purchased two and it didn’t beep or anything. After ECB’s this is a money maker:)

    • Elizabeth

Just sharing that I went today and had an issue with the Pantene Q’s…

The Pantene Q’s for $2 off Full & Thick and $1/2 Pantene Products are NOT working with the Free Styler Q. I had to pick one or the other, and I had a really nice cashier who tried ringing it up several different ways to see if the register would take it and it never would. Anyone else with this issue?

    • meg

      Brandy,
Not sure if you got your question answered or not, but yes, you can seperate your items and “checkout” 4 times and use the ECB’s from the previous purchase at the same visit. HTH

    • Brandy

Meg, thank you for answering my question! I’ve never done it that way. I’ve always bought everything in one transaction and used the ECB’s the next week. I’ll try that this week!

    • Leigh Anne

Just wanted to say that I got back a $.99 ECB on the $.89 pantiliners! (Chattanooga, TN)

    • Mary in West Columbia

      Elizabeth,
I had the same problem with the the Pantene Q’s for $2 off Full & Thick and the Free Styler Q.

I had to choose also. I used the Free Styler Q.

    • Sharon

I just can’t believe all the stuff I got at CVS today. Here’s the gist…

      Tr. 1

      1 Prilosec (used $3 Q)
      1 CVS pantiliner
      3 CVS tape

paid 29 something oop (ouch! but Prilosec is for my grandmother)

got back approx. 10. 50 in ECB, (I also got .99 for the liners).

      **************************

Tr. 2 (had coupons for everything)

      2 Dawn (2 .25 Q)
3 Post Trail whatever cereal ($4 in coupons, ran out of ink before I could print the 3rd)

2 Head and Shoulders (bogo coupon)
      1 Colgate toothpaste ($1 Q)

Used ECBs from T1 to pay, plus about 2.25 oop.
      Got 12 ECBs

      ****************************************

      Tr. 3

      1 5.99 Tide ($1 Q)
      1 2.99 Always (.50 Q)
      1 2 pk Listerine ($2 Q)
      2 gum (BOGO coupon)

Used ECBs from Tr. 2 plus 1.11 OOP.

Still have 2 ECBs left somehow.

I figured out that I paid more for the Prilosec (love my grandmother :) than all the other stuff combined! Unbelieveable! And I know I could have done better if I had more experience and had not run out of ink on the last cereal coupon. God Bless CVS…and Jenny!

    • AngelathecouponNERD

Wow! Everyone’s having a good time at CVS, huh?
I got the tape and pencils today. Going back for the Dawn and Febreze later tonight or tomorrow.
When I scanned my card at the price check machine, I got 2 ECB’s!!! That’s never happened! So, I used that to start. I have a $.99 and a $1.49 ECB to use toward the next deals.
I haven’t done much with CVS, and I usually try to use all of my ECB’s in the same trip so I don’t forget to use them.
Yes, I stand there and make several transactions in a row. :)

    • Katrina

I have $10 ECBs from my mom’s card that I got doing the sunglasses moneymaker deal (after I’d already bought the glasses on my card). Now I am wondering if they will let me use these considering they don’t match my card or the bunches or $3 off 15 that I have. Should I just give her phone number when I go in and not present my own card? I don’t want to be unethical or shady, but I also really want to use that $10 this week. Any thoughts?

    • Jennifer

      Hello!
I am getting ready for my CVS run and have a question. Is anyone having problems with the post cereal coupon printing with the barcode? The coupon prints out, however, the barcode is missing. Will CVS accept this without a barcode?

      Thanks!

    • Julie

Got the tape at my 24 hr store on a midnight run, then couldn’t get to another CVS until tonight (only 24 hr store in Knoxville; the rest close at 6). I wanted to do either the cereal or the Febreze deal but they were already out of the Trail Mix and Noticeables kits. :-( So, I decided to wait b/c any other deal would up my OOP. They said they’ll get another shipment of the Noticeables on Wed. I’m hoping another of my CVS’s will have what I seek tomorrow.

    • rachel

      Katrina-
The ECBs are attached to the card used when they were earned and non-transferable. You will have to use them up or give them up. Do some deals all at once that will allow you to ‘roll’ them down – opposite of what we’re used to, I know! Or buy stuff that does not produce them…like picture frames or clearance items. Make a plan to use them and see how much you can get while not trying to increase ECBs! You can always allow them to adjust the ECB total down but I never let them adjust more than about 20 cents or so. Good luck!

    • Kami

I have a coupon for a meter, but the language on it says:

Get a Free Contour or Breeze 2 Meter
When you present your prescription for a blood glucose monitoring system.

Does anyone else have this? Have you used it with any success? I don’t have an Rx for this, but would love to use it for the deal!

    • AngelathecouponNERD

      Katrina –
I bet you could just give her phone number and that would work.
      :)

    • Erin

tons of fun this week at CVS can’t wait till next week it is even better! to me anyways loving the free school supplies.

    • Diane

      katrina,
they will not let you use it if it came from another cvs card & u use yours when u check out today. If you do use hers again, you will run into the same problem when u try to use the ecb’s u earn today. my suggestion is to use those 10ecb’s on something you really need that doesnt earn ecb’s unless you just want to keep rolling them. ??? I dont know any other way to do it. :(

    • Tanya

      Jennifer – #77

I had the same problem with the post coupons – no bar code. Publix would not accept it last week and CVS would not accept it yesterday. CVS said they can accept coupons w/o bar codes if it has some “item code” they key in. This coupon did not have that so it would not work. Plus, they were out of the cereal anyway.

    • Shauna

      **Deal Idea**
      Buy: (8) Noticeables Kits
      Use: (8) -$4 off Noticeables
      Total Due: $20
Get Back: $25, you make $5
      ************

I did this deal today (along with many others) but they only had 7 in stock so my total on febreeze products was 45.50 and I only got the 20 ecb. It worked out fine thought because I just ran into another cvs, got 1 more noticeable kit and it put me over the $50 so the remaining 5ecb printed. I was worried when I did it so I just wanted to let everyone out there know that if you have to break them up over a few transactions, you will still get all of your extra bucks.

    • vana

CVS in Athens, GA was out of pretty much everything on the list Sunday…what’s the point in advertising specials if the shipment doesn’t come in time to stock the store?? Frustrating.

    • Christin

Hi! I am extremely new to this CVSing thing, I actually went and got a card yesterday! I purchased some items and wanted to know if I could’ve gotten a better deal…

      total $8.61
      $10 ECB

I’m not sure if this is very good or not. I added it up and got $76.81 worth of stuff for $29.05 and $10 ECB leftover. Please let me know what you think, like I said I am brand new and still learning what to do!

    • Dianne

If you were out of town and missed this Sunday’s paper, do you know where you can get one? Thanks, Martha

    • david

u can usally find that at the big stores like walmart etc. i would call ahead and ask,,,,

    • Our local Dollar Tree store sells the Sunday paper all week long for only $1.00. It’s a great deal, and I like that I can go any day of the week to get one.

    • Catherine

Great Week! I was able to shop by MYSELF today and I had a blast!
Best stop was CVS $59 worth of products for $ 11. Ended with $2 more ECB than I started! YAHOOOOO :)

    • Tanya

Started with $9 ECB, spent $4.77 and have $11 ECB for next week. Unbelievable!

    • Tanya

Oh, forgot, total merchandise would have been $57.00!

    • Samantha

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone that contributes to this website! I’ve never stretched a budget this far! It’s jaw dropping!

I started CVS-ing 4 weeks ago and I’ve been using the same 10.00 bucks every week! This week I used the 10.00 towards the febreze deal and got back 25.00 bucks! I invested 3.11 this week and that’s the most I’ve spent in 4 weeks!

All the CVS’s in my area have employees that are eager to help out, too!

I also use bucks and rewards to get extra newspapers if the coupons are as good as they were this week.

      Thanks again!

    • Veronica

Oh yeah! I went to another CVS in another town and got all the stuff I wanted. I paid $9.91 OOP and got over $65 worth of goodies and walked out with $5 ECB for next week!!! Thanks for all the help!

    • Angela

I didn’t remember that the tape deal was just Sunday and Monday. If I go tomorrow (Tuesday), how will that affect the starter scenario?

    • Rachel

Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for the “starter” deals! I am new to CVSing and I was a little bit overwhelmed. I went this afternoon with no ECB’s and for my 1st Transaction:

      1 – CVS pantiliners .89
3 – pencil sharpeners – they were already out of pencils :( .99 ea
Paid $4.21 oop (including tax) got back $3.96 in ECB’s plus a $1.50 ECB printed out on my receipt

      2nd Transaction:
      3 – CVS Transparent Tape .99 ea
Paid $3.96 in ECB’s from 1st trans and .56 oop and got back $4.47 in ECB’s

      3rd Transaction:
      1 – Febreze Noticeable Kit $6.50
      1 – Febreze Candle $6.50
      Used (2) $4.00 q’s
Paid $6.20 oop and got $5.00 in ECB’s

So total I paid $10.97 oop and got back $13.43 in ECB’s plus the $1.50 that printed on my 1st receipt. I hope that I am starting to get the hang of it!

    • beth

Samantha that is what I am trying to do but each week I wind up spending my ecb on something we need and can’t roll them. Today my son “needed” a $4 toy with the 4ecb I was trying to save. Each week I have to reinvest more money and wonder how to keep rolling them. How do u do it?

    • Julie

I had to rearrange my deals b/c I have just NOT been able to find the Trail Mix cereal anywhere, and it seemed like a couple of the other deals were getting cleaned out quick (Febreze mostly). So here’s what I did between Sun/Mon (w/o sales tax):

      T1
      Buy:
      ($3) CVS Transparent Tape – $1.49 ea
      Use:
      $4 ECB from last week
      Total Due: $0.47
Get back $4.47 ECB / $2.00 ECB spring Savings (unexpected)

      T2
      Buy:
      Febreze Noticeables Kit – $6.50
      Febreze Fabric Refresher – $5.00
      Febreze Air Effects – $3.00
      Use:
      $4 Off Noticeables
      $.50 Off Fabric Refresher
FREE Air Effects wyb Fabric Refresher
      $6.47 ECB
      Total Due: $0.53
      Get back $5 ECB

      T3
      Buy:
      Head & Shoulders – $4.99
      Head & Shoulders – $4.99
      Dawn Dish Soap – $1.00
      Dawn Dish Soap – $1.00
      Use:
      BOGO Head & Shoulders
      $.50 Off any Dawn
      $.25 Off any Dawn
      $5.00 ECB
      Total Due: $1.24
      Get back $5 ECB

Altogether I got about $30 in products for $2.24 with $5 ECB for next week (though if I DO run across the Trail Mix I will do that deal with the Colgate as my last for the week).

    • Amber

When you are buying products that have ebc, example: 1.49 caliber tape, do you purchase them one individually, or together?

    • Dani

      First time to CVS

As I read all your posts – I get the impression I did something wrong.
I had the feeling things went great today. You will not agree!

    • Jennifer

Well I went to 3 CVS’s yesterday…Not one pack of pencils to be found. But I did get some tape…:)

    • Tarrah R.

      Martha, (Comment #93)
I recently started couponing and missed TONS of the Sunday Papers, I finally went yesterday to my local paper and bought back issues for the past two months (they can actually go back a full YEAR!) They did cost me a bit extra (supply and demand), but usually will pay for themselves with 1 or 2 coupons. Just go in with the dates of the papers you’d like to purchase. Good luck!

    • Amanda

Please Can Anybody Help Me???? I don’t know where to get the REBATE BOOK AT!!!!

    • Amanda

      Tarrah R,

Can you buy back issues in the state of Va?

    • Terry E.

I went to CVS yesterday and bought 2 pantene shampoos, 2pantene conditioners and 2 pantene stylers. I got the free batteries, and I used 2 of the “buy a shampoo and cond and get a styler free “coupons. I also had 4 $1/1 conditioner or shampoo coupons, but the register would not accept the $1 coupons (it said something like coupon limit exceeded??). It did accept my $4 ECB and my $5 off of $25 coupon. This was my first CVS trip, so I’m not sure what happened. Should I have used the 4 $1 coupons before the free item coupon?? Thanks for your help as I attempt to learn my way around CVS.

    • jen

I went to my local paper cause i was out of town and couldn’t get newspaper cause we were in bfe which sold out of papers before i got there……….anyways my local paper said they had papers but no coupons they threw out the ads and coupons …..what is up with that.

    • ET

Well, I FINALLY received my $5 off of a $20 purchase via e-mail today! This is the first one I have ever received and I registered my CVS card 6+ weeks ago. So, for those of you who have not yet received yours, don’t despair!

This was a great week for me at CVS. I went Sunday afternoon and got pencils, tape, and liners along with some CVA band-aids (which we needed) to bring my CVS brand total to $10 so I could use my $2 off $10 CVS brands. When I scanned my card at the kiosk, I received an extra 10ECB’s! So this has been a week of pleasant surprises for me with CVS!

    • Lora

Can someone tell me what the CVS email coupons look like I have been doing this since 2/09 and still have never gotten a $5 of $20. I am just afraid I don’t know what I am looking for.

      • Jenny

        Lora,

The titles usually are Save $3 at CVS this weekend, or something similar. Anytime you get a CVS email open it and scan for coupons :) If you aren’t getting their emails then go to cvs.com and sign up for an online account and give them your address that way.

    • Lora

Thanks Jenny I am signed up and do get the emails but all the discounts I am seeing are for online purchases. I guess I will just have to be patient.

    • jerri

      Jenny
my friend did the 1st transaction and got $10ECB and did her second transactions getting the 8 Noticeables Kit it only gave her back 15 ECB instead of 25 ECB what did she do wrong? in the 2nd transaction.

      thanks

    • Ashley

      Jerri,
The limit on the deal was 5. That means you can only get the 5 ECBs for each $10 up to 5 or $50. She went over and the deal would only give up to $25. Hope this helps.

    • Aimee

Just returned from CVS and I am so tickled that I saved more than expected. I walked away with 11 great items (detergents, diapers, razors, etc..) and only spent $7.90 out of pocket; however, I received $12 more in ECB’s to spend on the next visit. Wish I could come out ahead like this every week!

    • Aimee

      Dani:

Don’t despair. Look at the ad again and see if there are any items offering ECBs that you might have manufacturer’s coupons for like the Dawn or Tampax. Then you can save those ECBs for next week. I have noticed there are many folks on this website spending pennies with their visits. I have yet to do this but I always leave having spent less and purchasing items we need or will need. Don’t be afraid to stockpile and buy brands you don’t normally use. These have been the hardest concepts for me but I am slowly overcoming these obstacles. Hang in there and good luck!

    • libbridge

I am new to CVSing. I went in today for my first time and they were out of a lot of the items. Will they issue rain checks for the items? Can you still get ECB’s if you get a rain check?

    • Cindy

where did you get the $3 off $15 in senario #3 of your grand plan?

    • lynn

yes and yes get a rain check for any of the items they wee out of and yes you will get the ecbs

I’m new to couponing – but I was proud of this one!!! So I had to share! :)

    • Nikki

I have a question. I received a CVS coupon today for $3 off a Schick Quatro. If I do the BOGO deal, can I use a manufacturer’s coupon for each as well as the CVS coupon?

    • Erin

I had the same problem with the Post printable – no bar code printed out. I tried it twice. If anyone has a solution, I’d love to know. I’ve already been to CVS this week, but I’ll go back if I can get the q to print.

Also – thanks for the tip about scanning your card before you shop. I got the extra 1.50 back – but I would have used it towards my first purchase if I had known.

    • c.marie

well my store is out of the trail mix cereal…anyone know where i can get some honey bunch of oats or cocoa pebbles coupons?

    • c.marie

      Nikki,
CVS lets u stack coupons. u should have no problem. if u have 2 manufacture coupons use all 3 coupons!!! i even got the schick intution with my quattro coupons :)

    • tonya

can i use a bogo coupon and a “$2 off wyb 2” coupon on a total of two products?

      ex:

      buy
      2 head n sholders = $9.98

      use
      bogo coupon – 4.99
      $2 off wyb 2 – 2.00

      total due = $2.99

    • Brandy

I ws very excited about my CVS shopping this week. Here is what I did.

I’d already bought one of the febreze candles in a previous purchase so I already had 6.50 toward my febreze total.

      To start with I had a $5/$25 purchase coupon, a $9.50 ECB, a $5 ECB, a $1 ECB and $.99 cent ECB.

      I bought

      2 folgers coffee 6.00 (3.00*2)
      1 febreze spray 5.00
1 febreze air effects 3.00 (reg. price 3.33)
      3 febreze noticables 19.50 (6.50*3)

      used:

      2 – .25 cents off Folgers
1 – free air effects when you buy febreze spray valued at 3.29 off
      3 – 4.00 off noticables

used my $5/25 coupon, the $9.50 ECB, the $1 ECB and the $.99 cent ECB

      Subtotal 1.22
      Tax 1.01
      Paid 2.23
Savings 43.81 (this incudes what you save b/c something was on sale)

From that receipt I got another $5/$25 purchase coupon and $15 in
      ECB’s

      Then…I bought:

      2 Febreze noticeable kits $13 (6.50*2)
2 Head and Shoulders shampoo and cond in one 9.98 (4.99*2)
      2 Pantene Expressions for Brunettes 9.98 (4.99*2)
      1 Revlon lipstick 6.99
1 Revlon nail polish – $0 (free when you buy the libstick)
1 pantene hair spray $3.33 (on sale)

      Used:

      2 $4.00 off noticeables coupons
1 Buy One Get one Free Head and Shoulder’s coupon
2 $1.00 off Pantene Expressions coupons
1 Free Pantene styler when you buy shampoo and cond. (3.33 for
      hairspray)

used my other $5/$25 coupon, my $15 ECB, and my $5 ECB (she actually
adjusted my $5 ECB down to 4.96 for me so that everything was free and I only paid the tax.)

      Subtotal $0
      Tax $1.28
      Total Paid $1.28
      Savings $ 59.51

From that receipt I got a $5 ECB and a $6 ECB to use next week.

    • Emily

Anyone know offhand if you can use ECBs on photo processing at CVS?

    • c.marie

      emily,
ecb can be used on photo :)

    • Kristin

when something is advertised as BOGO at CVS, do you have to buy 2 or would one item be half price?

    • Jaime

      I don’t understand the Tampax Pearl deal. If it’s 2 @ $7 each…wouldn’t that be $14?

    • Emily

Great! I have a ton of pictures to print and that would be a great way to pay for them!!

    • david

hi everyone i was wondering on the dove deo for 2.29 ,,can i use 1.00 off Q plus the free body mist when you buy one deo ,, thanks for all the help Jenny

    • Shauna

    • c.marie

    • MommyCFO

If I don’t have my CVS cards and am working on getting new ones with my ECB’s rolled onto them, can I just go in and give them the phone number on the card to see if any extra ECB’s print? What makes them print or not?

      Thanks!

    • JessG

does anyone know if you can use a Duracell coupon when getting the free batteries?
      Thank you.

    • lynn

if i understand you question right if you give your phone number and have bought a item that is on sale with ecb yes yu will get them at the end of you transaction

    • JEB

Does anyone know if the Dove Heat Defense or Heat Therapy shampoo, conditioner, styler are sold by CVS and included in the sale? They are in orange bottles. I only saw white and blue at my local store. I am in Columbia and Lexington, SC area. Thanks.

    • Is anyone else having a problem with getting the deals at Cvs in Millbrook? I have been in 3 times and each time I have had to tell the manager about mistakes on ECB’s not printing. He has printed off the ECB’s for me since they did not print correctly when rang up. Once on nature valley, once on kotex, and once on pantene that they would not give me. For the nature valley for example I bought 2 of 2 different flavors and he was trying to tell me that it had to be the same flavor even when the cashier was telling me it did not??? I am thinking about going to a different Cvs. Check your Ecb’s when you go in there to make sure you are getting what your plan is.

    • Stacie

Went to CVS yesterday, got $39.18 worth of stuff for $3.12 oop plus still have $12.50 in ECB and another $5 leftover from a couple of weeks ago!! I wasn’t able to get a paper this past Sunday, so I missed out on those good deals, I’m super bummed about that!! But still did great! 10 boxes of bandaids, 3 boxes honey bunches of oats, one bottle of tide, one pack of liners, 3 packs of pencils, two bottles of dawn dish soap and a pack of gummies!

    • Stacie

      Aiming4Simple comment #95:

Thanks so much for the dollar tree tip! I called our local dollar tree to see if they did the same thing because I missed my Sunday paper this week and I’m so happy that they do!!! I’m on my way to pick up the 3 that they had left!

    • AngelathecouponNERD

Wow1 This IS a great week for CVS. I did the Febreeze $10 deal twice, have $5 ECB left, plus $.99 from a liner deal.
Also, transferred a prescription and they took a Rite Aid Q for $25 gift card.
Now I have “start up money” to get some makeup and other items!!

I left southern savers up on our home computer Monday night, and I guess my 9 yr old son read it when he got up in the morning.
He kept telling everyone “this is a great week at CVS!”.

    • Tarrah R.

Oh my goodness! My hubby is totally sold on CVS after our very first trip! I was sooooo nervous about it any praying that I did it all correctly while I was checking out. I’d say I did- Here’s the final count:
$203.37 worth of items (when not on sale and no coupons)
$8.25 out of pocket (this is starting with $0.00 ECB’s bcause it was my very first time)
      $19.00 ECB’s left over!!!
I am so darn proud of myself! Jenny- you are SUCH a God Send! Thank you! Now, I am able to bless some less fortunates with Diabetes with the meters, and my sis who is out of a job with the food! I plan on using this for only positive. God Bless everyone!

    • Linda

I wish I could upload a photo here. Every time I go get a deal I take a pic and put it on facebook with my stats and it is the best part of saving so much money. Actually my favorite part might be displaying or staging all the items. In any event I just left CVS & ended up with 14 bottles of shampoo (head & shoulders, Dove & pantene) 3 bottles pantene hair spray, colgate tooth paste, 2 things of panty liners 2 bottles of body wash (oil of olay)and an underwater camera (my husband had to have, still cost me $9.99). After my coupons, $10.50 in extra bucks & a $15 gift card I got from transferring a prescription I had to fork over…………………Ten Cents………
      Yes, >>>>>>>>>>>>Ten Cents>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I love you Jenny!!!!!!!!

    • Tarrah-
Welcome and enjoy… Keeping God first will only help you SAVE more and GIVE more…

    • Tarrah R.

      Amanda,
Sorry It took me so long to get back to you; I have no idea if you could buy back issues in VA, but my guess would be that you could buy back issues of any paper from the printer anywhere- they should LOVE to make money from papers that didn’t sell earlier. Plus, if someone found out that their pict or name or whatever was in the paper, two days too late; they would be looking to buy those issues, which is actually most likely the reason they do sell them. Just check each one to make sure you got your Coupons inside- I didn’t check and two of mine didn’t have coupons. Stinky! Oh….whatever the name of your paper is, look it up in the phone book and give them a call to ask. God Bless!

    • Tarrah R.

Travise, Thank you; I totally believe that! I know God is blessing my family with this new couponing education; He has blessed us SO very much lately, it’s unbelievable! Oh, and thank you for the welcome, you will see a lot of me, I am sure!
