How do you get the $5/$25 Ready Fill coupon?

    • Emily

Any luck printing that Colgate coupon? I always get an unknown error occurred.

    • Emily

Stacy, the Ready Fill Coupon is at CVS.com/readyfill. Complete the survey and then print the coupon.

    • erin

when I completed the quiz it didn’t give me an option to print a coupon anywhere! Any help would be great.

    • Anisa

I am NEW. Can anyone, please, tell me why it says to use the coupon before scanning your CVS card???? Don’t they ask for your card to scan it as soon as you go to the counter? I do not understand. Someone please help!!!

    • kara

THis may sound crazy but I keep seeing the ss9/13 and how does that work? We havent gotten that right?

      • Jenny

        Kara,

You are right you don’t have it yet, but I want you to be ready with what you will have come Sunday morning.

    • Damien

Maybe it is just getting really late and my brain is not all that sharp but it seems to me like your grand plan is greatly miscalculated. Your deal idea earlier expressed that the Reaches would give you a profit of $2.01 (looks to be the same deal to me, so it should still be $2.01 there). The Colgate comes out to Free and the energy shots are free. Add $5 off coupon and the total profit would be $7.01.

Even if you used the $2 off $10 in Oral Care Q (which is not listed in the Grand Plan) you would only be making $9.01.

Unless you are counting the $6 ECBs that you are using, but that is really just tricking yourself into thinking you are making more than you are because you would have counted that as part of your profit last time and this time, but it can only count once.

    • rebecca

I’ve done the quiz twice and it won’t let me print the coupon either. Am I doing something wrong? I have done the quiz before and gotten the coupon, maybe that’s why.

    • Alena

I also took survery twice and no coupon!!!???

    • Courtney

Will they allow you to use the $5 off $25 without scanning your card first? I used to do CVS a long time ago and they were big sticklers. Not sure how to handle that and I’d hate to put everything back. :)

    • Emily

At the end of the survey, a box should come up with a picture of the coupon and then it says print or close. Maybe turn off your pop up blocker. It works fine for me every time.

BTW, it has a unique code so you can only do the survey once and print that coupon once. But, if you want to do it more, when you go to the page where it says start survey, right click, click settings, change it to zero, click ok, change it back to 100, close the box, and then do the survey again. That will get you a differrent barcode on the coupon.

    • Shannon in ATL

Emily, will that eliminate the register when you check out from telling you youve already used that coupon on a previous date?

    • Emily

Yes, it gives you a totally new coupon barcode and I have never had any beeps with any of the 5/25 printed Ready Fill coupons.

    • Anisa

I am NEW. Can anyone, please, tell me why it says to use the $5.oo off $25.00 coupon BEFORE SCANNING YOUR CVS CARD???? Don’t they ask for your card to scan it as soon as you go to the counter? I do not understand. Someone please help!!!

    • Emily

Well, I just tried to take it again and it is NOT giving out the coupons anymore. It says take the quiz to learn more and mentions nothing about a coupon. Boo!!! At least I have a couple extra.

Anisa, some say to wait to scan your CVS card so that you can take the coupons off the whole total without sales and then the CVS sales like B1G1 or whatever apply when you use your card and lowers your total even more. Your total might not be $25 after all the sales come off but would have been before the sales. Got it?

    • Angie

Doesn’t the Flu Shoot boolet have CVS coupons for Listerine Total and Colgate? Can those be used in combination w/ manufacturer coupons??

      • Jenny

        Angie,

The new CVS booklet does have coupons for both of those items, but they are for larger sizes than what is on sale :(

    • Anisa

      Emily,

Thanks. That does make sense that the sales would decrease the overall total to less than the needed $25.00. Does this apply to all coupons? Should I always scan all of my coupons BEFORE scanning my card? If I do this, does it affect my ECB? I am sorry that I have so many questions, but I am new to this and really want to understand.

Also, the coupon deal with CVS. I have two computers. The one running on Windows XP does exactly what yours is doing. The one that I have Vista on will run the coupon version. Where your says to learn more, on my Vista machine it says that you get the coupon for completing the survey.

Thanks for your help above. Please try and help me with the other questions above, then I think that I will be set.

      Thanks so much!

    • Emily

I do have Vista and don’t get the coupon. If you are getting it, print some for later!!! Do what I suggested above to get different bar codes.

I’m not really sure about your other questions. The cashiers always scan my card first and I really don’t have a problem with that. Most of the time cashiers scan all of my coupons before they hit subtotal, and then after they hit subtotal the sales like B1G1 come off and it works just fine. I guess it just depends on your cashiers. It shouldn’t affect the ECB though.

    • Anisa

Thanks, Emily. I sent Jenny a note too. This is my first week of using this system, and I am just new to it all and the website it a lot to take in at once. It is really good though, and I know that I will stick with it and one day be a pro like most of you guys.

I am not sure why the computer thing is not working for you. I am sorry that it is not.

    • Emily

You’re welcome Anisa. Glad I could help you out some. You’ll get the hang of it in no time.

    • FYI everyone, the $5/$25 Ready Fill coupon is no longer there as of midnight last night. The quiz is still there, but the coupon has been removed.

    • Isabel
    • Isabel

      click or copy and paste

    • Brenda

Can you do the readyfill quiz more than once? I did this when it first came out about a month ago but not sure how people haven’t already used this unless you can do it again. I was unable.

    • Emily

Isabel, thanks so much!! It just worked for me, and I did it twice using the directions above in post 11 and I did get two different barcodes.

Brenda, You can do it more than once but you have to click on the link that Isabel just posted and then follow the steps in post 11 to get different barcodes. Otherwise, it’s the same coupon and the registers won’t take the second one you print.

    • Nick

Has anyone ever run into stores that leave up sale/extra bucks tickets past their run. I had that happen today. Assumed it was current and was surprised when it wasn’t. Long story short they refunded actual amount of the product and rang it up again correctly giving me the extra bucks from last week. I ended up getting about $20 bucks in eye drops regularly priced for $2.68 which was well worth the hassle.

    • Who else has toothpaste jammed in all of the closets?

My HUGE stockpile of toothpaste and toothbrushes has turned into a family joke. I just can’t resist them if they are free (or if they pay me). The extra toothpaste, etc, are going to follow the extra school supplies that I already sent to the battered women’s and children’s shelter. I feel as if I can help someone else because of this website. Thank you, Jenny.

    • TinaP

I really appreciate your hard work getting us the deals before the paper comes out. I do have a question since I am new to this. It has been easier for me to shop on Saturday evening for Sunday’s deals and so far I have not had any problems. My question is, will the deals that are listed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday only be available on Saturday evening?
      tinap

    • Sue

I am confused about something in the deal ideas area: I thought you could only use 1 manufacturer coupon at a time for the same product-so, like in the toothbrush example, why does it say (2) $2-off Reach Toothbrush? Are these used on different trips or am I just missing something?

    • Chastity

This is for Emily referring to #13. I took the quiz once and I have been able to print out the same coupon numerous times. I think I finally stopped around 5 or 6 because they all have the same barcode. Will I be able to use them all or will it only work once?

    • Diane (#29) I totally agree! My new rule is that it has to be free or a moneymaker because I am running out of storage space! I am now staying at home with my son, so we don’t have as much to give to charity, but this website has enabled me to save so much for our family AND “buy” so much free stuff to donate. I am able to give so much more in freebies than I could ever afford to give in actual money!

TinaP (#30) I asked my cashier a few weeks ago when I was in on a Saturday and he said that only weekly deals ring up early; Sunday-Tuesday deals have to be purchased Sunday, Monday or Tuesday. And always double check your receipt, especially on Saturdays…I’ve had a couple of sales not make it into the system early, so I’ve had to ask for them to fix it manually. I love shopping early…no more rainchecks!

    • Megan

Don’t know if any of you know this but I went to the pharmacy to get another readyfill booklet and the tech was confused and showed be this folded pamplet that said thanks or something and asked if that was it. I told her no, and she said well go ahead and have one. Inside it are coupons for four 3/15, 2 free products, and one 4/20. They are week sensitive though. Hadn’t seen anyone else out there mention so I thought I would pass it along. She was very nice gave me a readfill booklet, 100 dollar book, and the above.

    • Shiloh Kennedy

Has anyone else had any luck purchasing 2 items with a B1G1 Q… and also using a manufacture Q on one of them ?? For example… last week… this website advised us to purchase the Covergirl makeup using a B1G1 coupon and also a $1 off coupon.

The CVS on 58 in Harrison, TN does not allow this. The register beeped because the B1G1 was already used for those 2 products and I couldn’t use a 2nd manufacture Q on it…

I think above Jennifer does the same thing with the reach tooth brushes…am I missing something?

    • Emily

Chastity, you can print out the same coupon numerous times, but from what I have seen others say it will not work at the register. It will come up with a message saying you have already used the coupon once with the date and everything. You need coupons with different barcodes. Follow the instructions above to do that and it should work fine.

I have been able to use two coupons on B1G1 items as long as the cashier scans the coupons before he/she hits subtotal.

    • anyone that needs baby food (beech-nut stage3) i have about 10 of them, is a a free jar up to .99 cents. resend2@hotmail.com I can send them to you if you send me a self addressed envelope. or if you have bounty .25 cent coupons or minute maid .50 cent coupon i will take them

    • Shiloh Kennedy

      Thanks Emily.
I will give it another try !!!

    • nicole

      i followed post 11 to a t and it worked great,thanks again.

    • Megan

Does anyone know if the Pure Protein bars will be buy one 50% off. I have coupons for BOGO. Just wanted to know. I can’t see the ad very well.

    • Rachel

I did it too! I used the link provided by Isabel (#24) and followed Emily’s (#11) suggestion and got a few coupons to print! Thanks ladies!! I could not find the coupon on the website again, but the link worked.

Another thing that I figured out: you can leave the “Setting” at 0% while you print your quiz. When it prompts you at the end to allow 10%, DENY it and you can retake the quiz for another NEW bar code!!

    • Cindi

I tried the link provided by Isabel (#24) and followed Emily’s (#11) and couldn’t get it to work … When I did the right-click I kept getting a little “CVS box” and that’s it :-(

Oh well, I already printed 2 from home and 2 from work so I guess it won’t work for me because I’m getting too greedy – LOL

    • Lynn

Diane #29- I’m in the same boat (filled with toothpaste and shampoo!). It’s a joke with my family too. And the shelters really appreciate the extras.

      :-D

    • Elizabeth

I wonder if the Children’s Tylenol deal can be used on Infant’s. We are out and need some for our teething little girl. Anyone know?

    • kelli

diane (#29) – I’ve got about 25-30 tubes of toothpaste in my closet. My fiance makes fun of me all of the time for it. I love “buying” stuff for free and I especially love making money off of it. I can’t resist free. I really can’t, especially when it’s food. My fiance will eat anything and food can get to be so expensive. I need to start cutting back though. We used to live in an apartment with a very big walkin pantry, so all of the food could just be thrown in there. Now that we’ve moved, we have a much smaller kitchen and no pantry at all. Currently our couch is covered with free or mostly free food. :) It’s pretty insane.

    • Missie

My CVS will not let me use multiple coupons on same items like buying 3toothbushes and using a B1G1 and 2 additional coupons. They say I can use the B1G1 and one other, but I notice you show using 3 like above, how do you do that?

    • Missie

I was also wondering in the non 24 hours stores if you can do any of the next weeks sales the Saturday night before after 6:00. I have heard that you can and have noticed that on Sunday morning they have often sold some of the sale items already and since I am usually the first one in, I know they didn’t sell them Sunday morning before they opened.

    • Is there a website like this for the North, New York area?

    • Our 24 hour CVS usually started the week-long ECB deals at NOON on Saturday! However, today when I went in, they had posted bright yellow signs near all the CVS ad stands that stated that the weekly deals would only be honored on actual sale dates stated on the ad. I confirmed with the cashier, who told me that means the deals would start at midnight.
Guess that will change my shopping habits…good thing I’m a night owl! If I wait til Sunday afternoon after church, most of the good items are gone.

    • elana

there is a $1.oo off any cottonelle 12-pack in the August -all you mag.

    • Kelly

Anyone having trouble finding the REACH coupons she has listed from The State??

    • RM

      kelly
the coupons have a picture of Listerine /floss and toothbrush on them and it says you can get the Listerine/reach floss/or reach toothbrush buy any 3 and save $5.00 I didn’t print the B1G1 but if you get the paper then you should have the buy any 3 and save $5 and if you have the ready fill book you can use the $2 off $10 and only have to pay $5.00 and get back $6.00 I hope this is helpful

    • RM

Isabel thanks for the ready fill link

Elana thanks for the tip on the cottonelle coupon

      Randy
yes I believe there is a http://www.northernsavers.com however I’m not sure if it covers everything like southern savers does but it’s worth a shot good luck.

    • Hilary

Where is this $2 off Reach toothbrush coupon?? Ive looked at all the coupon clipping sites and I cant find it anywhere…

    • RM

Randy I’m sorry the website I was talking about is not the one I mentioned above it’s http://www.northerncheapskate.com and although it has lots of nice links it is not the website that southern savers is sorry :(

    • Rachel

Missie, You are buying 3 items and so you CAN use 3 coupons. Just because one of the coupons is B1G1 doesn’t mean its a coupon for 2 items. You use the B1G1 and get one free but you still had to pay for the 1st item to get the 2nd free. So you can still use another coupon for the 1st one you had to pay for. Hope that makes sense. You just can’t have more coupons than items.

    • Shannon

Ok when everyone says to take the survey…are you meaning take the quiz? I took it and am not seeing anything about a coupon. Do i have to sign up and register?

    • If anyone can answer question 49 that would be great! A friend of mine in Michigan is dying for help saving money at the local grocery stores… she has searched and can’t seem to come up with anything!

    • Missie

Thank you Rachel! That makes perfect sense and when the cashier at CVS says she can’t accept all 3 coupons again, I will explain it to her exactly like that.
      This website is the best!!!

    • Tammy

The B1G1 Reach toothbrush coup from 4/26 says for single toothbrush purchase….will it still work for the 2 pk?

    • Nick

If anyone has any Sobe Lifewater B1G1 Coupons here’s another week to get some for free!

    • Amanda

The ready fill $5/$25 is no longer available for taking the quiz. Well, at least the option isn’t there for me. I took the quiz and didn’t get a coupon. :(

Great workshop the other day at Northside! Thanks a bunch!

Also, on the Dove item, you have RR instead of ECB. ;P

    • Amanda

      Just a thought…

You could get 4 Reach toothbrushes if you used 2 B1G1 coupons and (2) $2 coupons. And it would cost the same, but give you one more toothbrush right?

    • Kim

      Dallas-Metro,

Just sent you an email. I’ll take the Beech Nut Qs!

    • Nick

Didn’t get much this week just the Dyna Pep, B1G1 Sobe Life Water and my Sunday papers for the cost of the paper as thanks to this website I’m darn near stocked on anything I need. Thanks again Jenny!

    • Denise

I do not see the Suave B2G1 coupon in the RP today 9/13, am I missing something?

    • kelli

I had a fairly uneventful trip to CVS today… I got 2 pairs of flip flops that were only 75% off, not the 90% that I was hoping for. I can’t complain too much though, they were $1.75 & $1.49. I also got some CVS bandaids, box of 40 for 15 cents. I also bought a Hannah Montana lolly pop as a joke for my fiance…. but it ended up being full price, it was only supposed to be 10 cents, it rang up 99. I didn’t notice that until I got home, so now I’ve gotta go back when I go out again today. I only spent $4.72, even with the mistake, $4 of that was ECBs.

    • kelli

My store doesn’t carry the Dyna Pep, they said that they will probably get it on Tuesday but they’re not sure.

      Hi, Jenny
You mentioned above about the suave B2G1 coupon to use with the body wash deal but I did not see the coupon in my paper, did I miss it?
I would love to take advantage of that deal but I just don’t see the coupon, I hope you can help me out, thanks.

    • Amy

    • Ashley

Amy, switch your printer to color… mine did the same thing on b/w, but printed fine with color.

    • Amber

    • lynn

i also only got a 75 cent coupon bummer

    • Dena

I don’t see the Suave B2G1 coupon in todays paper? Am I missing something?

    • Dena what area are you in? I’m in dallas (obviously per name) and i bought 2 different papers neither one has it.

    • Hilary

      Buy:
      (2) Dyna Pep $4.99
      (1) Colgate Total
      (3) Reach Toothbrushes $3.99
      Use:
-$5 off $25 Ready Fill printable coupon (use this before scanning your CVS card)
      B1G1 Reach Toothbrushes
      (2) -$2 off Reach coupon
      -$1 off Colgate Total
      -$6 ECB
      Total Due: $4.95
Get Back: $17.98 ECB, you make $13 dollars!

Jenny, this is what you have for your Big Deal at the bototm, but… There are a few problems with the math. This doesnt equal $25 so you’d need to add a filler. Even with the listed, if you pay 11 and get 18, that’s only 7 dollars difference, not 13…

    • Kathy Mizera

I also cannot find a $2 off Reach toothbrushes, and I Have the SS from that date… anyone know if this was regional? Also, I got two different newspapers today (one was free in my driveway) and they each had a different SmartSource. Anyone know why? Same date? Same region. Same everything?

    • katydid

Found Fiber 1 cereal with a coupon on the back for B1G1 fiber 1 yogurt exp 3/2010. So 2/$6 cereals -$2 ECB -$1/2 general mills cereal coupon=$1.50/box cereal, not great, but I’m sure a yogurt deal will come along soon at the grocery store, B1G1 + $1 off 1= cheap yogurt :)

    • Had a good trip today! The Purex coupons only printed off as $0.50/1 for me, and I again had trouble using a B2G1 WITH a $ off coupon on the Suave (this happened with the Covergirl makeup last week. They said the B1G1 covered 2 items, and using an additional coupon req’d having more items).

      (2) Purex Detergeant $3.49
      (1) Colgate 360 Tooth Brush $2.99
      (1) Clairol Natural Instincts color $5.99
      (3) Suave Bodywashes $2.00
      Use:
-$4 off $20 coupon (came in mail with prescrip transfers for DH)
      (2) -$.50 off Purex Natural
      -$.40 off any Colgate toothbrush
      -$2 off Clairol
      B2G1 Suave Bodywash
      -$8 ECB
      Total Due: $6.22
      Get Back: $8.00 ECB!

      Thanks as always Jenny!

    • Denise

Can I break my order up into 2 transactions so that I could get and ECB and the use it in the next transaction?

    • Christy

Denise (#85) – Yes, you can break up your transactions to use your ECB’s on the next one. I do it all the time….I’ve never had a problem with it.

    • kelli

Denise – I break up transactions sometimes. Sometimes they’re a little grumpy about it but I usually don’t have a problem when I try it.

    • Timea

Anyone used the B1G1 toothbrush coupon? it’s only good for the single pack! :( HELP! THANKS!

    • BETH

does anyone know where i can fine some coupons for the childrens tylenol and/or motrin….

    • Timea

Beth #89 – it is in this sundays RP either $3/2 or $1/1

    • Missie

Went to my CVS today and didn’t have any problem with using the B1G1 and the 2 .75 off coupons for the Suave. I guess it depends on who is ringing you up. If it is just a cashier as with my first experience, as for a manager. Thanks again Rachel for the help.

    • Lisa

I am very new to couponing. I love this website, thank-you all for your helpful post and info.

When I ran into CVS today, I noticed on an endcap a display for trial size arm & hammer toothpaste, reg.99cents, but with your extra care card you get it for .01…..yes a penny. I was very proud of my “newby” self and had to share.

    • Debra

Thanks Jenny for all your hard work on southern savers, it really helps.

This is what I got on Sunday:
      (2) Dove Utimate Deodorants, (2) DynaPep Energy Micro Shots, (2) Sunday’s papers and (1) Colgate Total Advance Toothpaste all for $1.88 Total oop! That was so exciting to get all of that for the price and then get back $13.98 in extra care bucks.

Here’s the coupons that I used (2) $2 Dove Deodorant Coupons, 1(.75 cent colgate toothpaste coupon, $4 off $20 dollar coupon and $14.50 in extra care bucks. This was my third time doing this so I think I’m finally getting the hang of this extra care bucks. I hope this helps someone else that’s learning about the ecbs.

    • Denise

Well, this is my second week trying this. I’m so excited, but I’m not having much luck. Last week I went on Tuesday, but everything was gone. I was told that they restock on Friday so I went by 2 more times, but they never restocked anything. This week I went on Monday morning, but once again everything was gone. I take it I need to get there on Sunday or forget it. How early do I need to go to actually get the items that are on sale?

    • Angela

      Jenny,
There is also a $1 off Almay cosmetic in SS9/13 in case you don’t have the other one!

    • Tarrah R.

is there somewhere I can look up FOR certain coupons? I’ve been collecting the papers for months, never cut, because I follow Jenny’s blog and cut when needed- HOWEVER, what if I find my own deals with store coupons, but I need the manufactures coupon to stack with it? Is there like a ‘google’ type place you can put in a product name and it will pop up the date and ad that coupon came in??? I’d appreciate any help. Thank you much and God Bless!

    • Timea

Tarrah, not sure if Jenny has anything like that on this site, I’ve been using hcw’s database… hope it’s ok to post the link here:
      http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/coupon.php

i haven’t clipped coupons in months :) and this helps me out tremendously… HAPPY SAVINGS!

    • Rachel

      Lisa #92:
Congrats!! YAY for you!! WTG! I celebrate with you! Thanks for sharing….I only hope my CVS has the same deal.

      Tarrah #96:
I don’t think there is any FOR certain way to tell EXACTLY which coupons you have unless you take a few minutes each week to type them up and put the amounts on a document to staple to the front or put with your inserts. You could cross them out when you clip/use the coupons. Or you could create a personal database if you are computer savvy. Otherwise, the couponmom website has a Coupon Database that is fairly accurate, but not always precise. Here’s the link: http://www.couponmom.com/grocery-coupon-database-10 Just click on your state/region and when the next page comes up, type in the item you are looking for. HTH!

Anyone that doesn’t get deals on Sunday: DON’T FORGET to get a RAIN CHECK!!! You can do the deal the next time they stock up unless it is a seasonal item (like the FREE Easter bskets in spring). I still have rain checks from the Tot stapler (and the Electrasol deal) that have not been restocked at my CVS.

As far as the Saturday night/Sunday morning thing: YMMV! CVS stores that CLOSE at night need to input the deals into the system before they close so it is ready to go Sunday morning when they open. If it is a 24HR store, my guess is you have to wait until Midnight. My CVS that closes at 10pm will not print ECBs until the ad says so, so no early birds. :(

    • anita

Well I tried also to get the $5 coupon like someone else and could.
? what “survey” are you to complete that was told. I dont understand.

    • anita

for get it I finished reading all the response and know its not working
      any more. thanks any way.

    • Hilary

Tarrah — Yes, there is a Coupon Database over at http://www.hotcouponworld.com.

And here is my deal today!

      2 Dyna Pep Energy Shots
      1 Colgate toothpaste
      2 Dove deodorants
      3 Suave bodywashes

      – 1.00 Colgate q
      – 2.00 Dove deodorant q
      – 2.00 Dove deodorant q
      – B2G1 Suave q
      – .50 Suave q
      – 5/25 CVS q
      – 7.00 ECB from last week

      = 8.55 OOP, got back 16.00 ECB!!! Woohoo!!! :)

    • Damien

      Sue (Post 31),

You can use as many manufacturer Qs as you have items (unless they state 1 Q per transaction). 1 Q per purchase simply means per item purchased.

Also, you can get ECBs by buying things in multiple transactions if you need to… say if it says buy 3 and get $6 ECBs, you do not have to buy all three in the same transaction.. anytime within the sale period will do.

    • Damien

I just had my best CVS experience yet. I wanted to take advantage of the $2 off $10 in oral care Q that expired Sat night and get the Reach toothbrush deal, so I went to the 24hr CVS (One on Coliseum in Montgomery), which is not my normal CVS because it is further from home and not in the best neighborhood. The cashier was very nice and helpful and was excited about all my savings using coupons and ECBs.

      I purchased:

3 Reach 2 packs of Toothbrushes
      1 Huggies 72ct Wipes

      Used:
      $0.50 Q off Reach
      $1.50 Q off Reach
      $0.50 Q off Huggies Wipes
      $2 Q off Huggies Wipes
(printed when I bought Healthy Choice Fresh Mixers the other week)

      $8 ECBs

Paid: $2.31 (including 10% sales tax) (.96 before tax)
      Got back: $6 ECBs

    • Shannon in ATL

      Tarrah R.

…..dealseekingmom.com has an awesome coupon database….very helpful!!

    • Tarrah R.

Thank you, Shannon in ATL! You Rock!

    • I learned last week that other CVS’s will honor rain checks if your main CVS never restocks the item or waits for weeks. My CVS never has what’s on sale and it is rarely restocked for weeks. I found another one that stocks it and is so nice about the coupons. One thing I learned is that Alabama CVS will always charge tax on coupons that your ECB’s can not cover, so there is never a time when you are OOP nothing if you have used any coupons. Also, I love Southern Savers, thanks for your hard work. I was wondering if I could make a suggestion that would help me…when listing your grand plan, can you indicate how many seperate transactions you are doing or if they are all in one transaction. Thanks!

      • Jenny

        Tammy,

I try to pout #1, #2 etc above each transaction. I might have forgotten this week. My total for any week is 4, and I usually do them all in one day at the same time. If someone gets behind me just jump to the back of the line.

    • kelli

I think that the Dove coupon has reached print limit. :( that throws off my plan for today.

    • kelli

I haven’t see this mentioned anywhere… it seems like the limit on the Suave spent $6, get $2 ECBs is at least 2, not 1 like listed in the ad. My fiance and I each bought 3 bottles of body wash and both got our $2 ECBs and at the bottom of the receipt, it says “Amount toward this reward $6, Amount needed to earn reward $5.95”

I had a very successful trip to CVS today. My fiance and I each did 1 transaction each, one for each of our cards. Surprisingly enough, they had everything that I wanted in the store. :)

      Transaction #1:
      (3) Suave Body Wash $2 each
      (3) Listerine Total Care $3.99 each
      (1) Colgate Total Action $2.99
      (5) Sharpie Highlighters $.99 each (I had a rain check from a while back)
      – $5/$25
      – B2G1 Suave Body Wash
      – $.75 off 2 Suave Body Wash
      – $3/3 Listerine products
      – $1 off Colgate Total Care
      – (5) $1 off Sharpie Highlighters adjusted down to $.99 each
      – $8.99 ECBs

      Total OOP: $.78 ($.56 of that was tax) and I got back $10 ECBs ($6, $2, & $2)
      Total before sales/coupons: $43.18

      Transaction #2
      (3) Suave Body Wash $2 each
      (2) Dyna Peps $4.99 each
      (1) Colgate Total Advance $2.99
      (4) Gold Emblem Caramel Creams $1.50 each (a gift for my uncle)
      – $5/$25
      – B2G1 Suave Body Wash
      – $.75 off Suave Body Wash
      – $1 off Colgate Total Care
      – $16.16 ECBs

      Total OOP: .$.94 ($.88 of that was tax) and got back $13.98 ECBs ($9.98, $2, & $2)
      Total before sales/coupons: $28.24

    • hunter

does anyone ever feel like the cashiers hate you when you spending such small amounts out of pocket? I’ve had several experiences where cashiers have given me dirty looks or attitude when my total turns out being something like 50 cents.

    • Jessica G

What I learned today, is that you may not need a filler, as you can see from my last transaction, with the ECB bucks, the total was -$.17

      My First Transaction today:
      Buy:
      (2) Dyna Pep $4.99
      (1) Colgate Total 2.99
      (2) Reach TCARE Floss $3.99 (they didn’t have the tooth brushes)
      (1) Listerine TCARE $3.99
      (1) Sour gummy worms $.59 (filler, my husband loves them)
      Use:
-$5 off $25 Ready Fill printable coupon
-$3 off 3 Reach Floss, Toothbrush or Flosser and/or Listerine Mouthwash 1L 2) SS 8/2
      -$1 off Colgate Total
      -$6.99 ECB Glade candle
      -$1.89 ECB can’t remember
      -$2.00 ECB can’t remember

      Total Due: $5.65 + tax
      Get Back: $17.98 ECB

      Second Transaction:
I really needed some hair color

      Buy:
      (1) Clairol Natural Insticts $5.99
      (1) LOreal Sulfate Free Shampoo $5.99
      (1) Orbit Gum $1.29 (filler)

-$2 off Clairol any hair color PG 8/30
-$2 off LOreal Sulfate Free product (not sure where this was from)
-$9.98 ECB from the Dyna Pep

      Total due -$.17 plus tax

Get Back $2.00 ECB from Clairol Colora

Total out of pocket for both $7.06

    • Angela

Can someone please explain the following that prints out at the bottom of my CVS receipt:

Suave OS, Spend 6 Get 2 EB
      Qty. Toward this Reward 1
Qty. Needed to Earn Reward 1

Then at the very bottom I received $2.00 in ECB for my Suave purchase!

Please help! I’m new to this!

    • kelli

Angela – it means that the limit is more than 1 like listed in the ad, or at least it should be more than 1. Sometimes they mess up and the limit is set wrong in the system, so you can get the ECBs more than once.

    • As others have posted, I too use the coupon database at Hot Coupon World to find the coupons in the inserts that I file. That database saves me countless hours of time!!

    • Kym

I am frustrated by a couple of things at my usually great CVS. First, they would only let me use the buy two get one suave coupon. How do I do this so that I can use both?
Also, the only Reach coupons from our flyers were for $1, not $2, and then in the store they didn’t even have Reach toothbrushes. If any of you have WAY too many toothbrushes, this family could use a few! HA! Someone is always saying they need a new one….
On a great note, I got mascara and shadow for me! And stocking stuffers for the girls for a great price, as well as the body wash, so thanks Jenny for a great list!
I also tried the CVS quiz using the tips, and it said “we are not printing this coupon at this time, try again later”. Oh well, it was a good trip anyway!

    • Hilary

Just wanted to say that I printed off the $5/$25 q that was in the link above.. And it printed just fine but when I went to the store it beeped, saying it had already been used. The cashier pushed it through anyways, but just wanted to put that out there as someone else may not be as lucky!!

    • kelli

I just got a $5/$25 coupon in my email. It’s good through Sunday (9/20).

    • Jenny

Don’t know if you all are aware of the recall on some lots of Children’s Tylenol – there is a list on tylenol.com.
