    • DD

i printed a 5 dollar off coupon for the wrinkle free from the red plum online (i think).

      • lynn

what zip code are you using?

        • DD

          93041

    • Wendy

      Jenny-
If you were asking about the first link to the vaseline coupon, it is a manufacturer’s coupon. Thanks for the list!

      • Jenny

Thanks! We are visiting family for a few days and the printer was in the room with a sleeping baby :)

    • Kim

I needed these deals – $10 in ECB going to expire on Monday. This is great. Thanks!

    • miralys

The magic coupon machine has been spitting out BOGO coupons on Biologie and Fruitopia shampoos lately too.

    • Teresa

Where can I get the $5 off $25 that Jenny uses for her scenarios? I’m in need of Paper towels / TP and I have a giftcard so it would be great to score some TP and Paper towels for $10 if I had that coupons.

      • Go to the cvs website and take the flu quiz…if you click on the cvs tab here on jenny’s site there’s a direct link to the quiz and the answers. That will get you a $5/$25 q. HTH!

        • Teresa

          Thanks :)

    • Ashley

Has anyone used multiple 5 off 25s from the same flu shot quiz at CVS? I know they have tracked them in the past. Is this the case here? Thanks!!

      • Carla

I tried and it did not work. Bummer, but good deals anyway.

      • Kim

I wish people would not attempt to do things like that… this is called *fraud* and it ruins it for everyone.

    • Jennifer

I heard you can shop on Saturday evenings and get the Sunday sales. Has anybody tried this at the Lyman SC store?

      • Jenny

As long as it is a non 24 hour store you can start shopping at 6pm on Saturday. However the 3 day sale items do NOT start early.

      • John

If you call them, they will usually tell you if they start the sale early (typically 6PM Sat night).

    • Kerry

      I have a question.

In order to get the ECB deal, do you have to spend the certain amount, before or after other coupons?

For example, If I need to spend $15 to get ECB, and I have $8 in coupons, bringing my total down to $7, do I need to bring it back up to $15.

      Gosh, I hope that’s not too confusing…

      • Emily

Nope, you spend the $15 on whatever is required for the ECB, use your coupons and bring the total down, and you still get the ECB. That is what is so great about CVS.

        • Kerry

Awesome! I’m a little new at this. Thanks!

    • Erica

I am having a problem with the shopping list feature. It flashes and then goes back to the regular screen. Am I doing something wrong?

      • Emily

I had the same problem. Maybe because I have Vista? But, I noticed at the bottom of the post it still said make shopping list and I did it that way. So, maybe check that out.

    • For the $1.50 Tide Stain Release coupons, I’ve been collecting them from people I know who subscribe to Better Homes & Gardens. The coupons were in them for 2 or 3 months. They were on an orange card along with a Gymboree coupon.

      • Alissabeth

Parents or Parenting have been having these too.

    • What zip code will get me the redplum colgate coupon?

      • Jenny

        Try 30504

    • Samantha

For the three day sale, is the candy pictured the only candy on sale? Because the text says Nestle, Hersheys, or Mars. I’m wondering if Hershey’s kisses will be on sale too? I have some coupons for those…

    • Alissabeth

How is everyone getting multiples of the 5/25?

      • Jenny

Try clearing your history and cache (go to tools in your web browser) and it will let you take the quiz again and print a new one!

        • Ashley

You can also do it on two different days. Has anybody done this already to know we can use multiples without it being tracked by our cards?

          • Emily

You just have to make sure that the coupons that you print have different bar codes. If they are all the same bar code, after you use it once and then try to go back and use another one the computer will tell the cashier that you already used it and on what day. So, here’s what I do. On the page where you can click to take the quiz, right click, go to settings, change it to 0, click okay, change it back to 100, and then take the quiz again. Do that each time to get a new bar code.

            • Alissabeth

Not seeing a place to change anything to zero.

            • Emily

              Okay, go here.

              http://www.cvs.com/flu/?WT.mc_id=FH_092109_CVSHome_Flu

Where the red banner is that says “before you come in…”, right click on it and hit settings. You should see it then.

            • Amber

I don’t see where to set it to 0 either. I have Vista, so maybe that is the problem…

            • Tarrah R.

I think you have to click on the folder icon, then set it at zero, then back to 100, right?

          • Honey

I think this is a totally different quiz than the one I took a few weeks ago…or at least the questions were different. So I am going to try to use the coupon that printed this time. If I still had the other one I could compare them, but I already used it.

            • Ashley B

changing it from 100 to 0 to 100 again worked for me. I printed a new coupon with a new barcode.

              THANKS!!!!

        • julia

          With a new barcode?

    • erin

Stupid question. Will CVS take a target coupon for the tide stain release?

      • Jenny

They probably will not. They do not take competitor coupons. (Most don’t anyway)

        • Mandie

My CVS’ in Chattanooga have big signs throughout the store stating they gladly take competitors Q’s. It never hurts to ask. : )

          • Meadow

Which Chattanooga CVS has you used competitor coupons at? The people I talked to at the Tennessee Ave. one were very confused so they said no;-(

            • Mandie

              Hixson/153 and Laksite/Hixson Pk.

      • my CVS on hwy. 70 takes competitor coupons plus manf. q’s! do you remember which insert those target coupons were in??

        • Michelle

do you mean the New Bern NC store on hwy 70

          • sorry, no this is in nashville, tn :)

    • I have not been able to get the aveeno coupon. I fill out all of the information, press submit, and it says ok (or whatever) and then nothing. Help?

      • never mind; had a glich with my printer.

    • I can’t find my Cover girl B1G1, but I want to do a deal with Gillette. So, here is what I think I can do:
      Buy Accu-check $15.00
      Gillette Fusion $9.99
      filler (more than 1cent)
      use:
      5 off 25
      10 off accu-check
      4 off gillette
OOP: $6.00 plus filler and tax
      Get: $10.00 ECB – 5 for accu-check, 5 for Gillette

      right?

      • kelli

Unless you get a really grumpy cashier, $24.99 is enough for the $5/$25 coupon to work. I know that I’ve used the $$/$$ coupons within 1-5 cents off. I’m not sure how close it has to be but I know that within 1 cent is close enough.

      • Deb – Clemson

The Accu-check Aviva’s I just bought at Rite-Aid contained a rebate coupon for the purchase price.

        • I think I have already gotten that rebate. I don’t think they will do it twice. Thoughts?

    • mel

How do you get the Vocal Point mailer???

    • mel

Where do you get the vocal point mailer?

      • kelli

you have to be a vocal point member. once you’re a member, they’ll send you random samples/coupons in the mail.

    • Kris

I don’t know how I’ve been so lucky but almost every transaction I’ve done at CVS this month has printed me another $5 off $25.00. But I Don’t get any of the other deals printing that you all discuss. The coupon machine always tells me there is nothing to print. But I would rather have the $5/25 coupons anyway…

    • jj

I love the deal with the Bounce dryer bars, but I think I’ll write a Top 40 hit song before I ever find six of anything at a CVS! :)

      • Emily

I totally agree!! Don’t forget about rain checks though. You can still get the deal later when stuff is back in stock. Just hope it’s before your coupons expire.

        • Angela ang

My CVS let’s me use expired Q’s with a rain check.

      • Jenny

        lol :)

        • Hahaha- that’s awesome. Maybe we can write a song together, called the “I-can’t-get-nothin’-at-CVS-’cause-all-the-shelves-are-empty” Blues….
Who knows, in the coupon hysteria hitting the nation right now, it might just make it to radio!

          • jj

lol we may just have something here…

      • Julie

check the end cap. I thought my CVS was out too but the end cap was LOADED! good luck- I LOVE those dryer bars!

    • Nick

Jenny, all these deals sound great unfortunately I’m at that point where I just don’t need anything else even if it’s free. How great is that! I couldn’t have such a “problem” without you. Thanks!

Let us know if we can do anything to help you out, whether it’s promoting, clicking banners, providing web creative, etc! It’s the least we could do

    • Sue

I have Q’s for “Buy 1 Olay Total Effects Facial Moisturizer and receive one Olay Body Wash free. Does anyone know if they will work for the $5 ECB deal?

      • Janet

I just used the “Buy 1 Olay Total Effects Facial Moisturizer and receive one Olay Body Wash free” this afternoon at Bellevue, TN CVS. Received the $5 ECB with no problem. The staff was unbelievably helpful today. One woman helped me find the sale candy. It wasn’t marked for the 3 day sale but she kept looking until she found it. The cashier even said “Good Job!!!” Great experience with lots of savings.

      • Teri

I had a “Buy Olay Total Effects, get a Secret Flawless Deo free” and then I also used a $2/2 Secret Deo coupon… AND I used my $5/25 coupon. So I paid $6.98 and then got $5 ECB! Yay!!

    • Ruth

If you signed up for CVS mailing list, watch for a $3/$15 for Cold and Flu products in your email, good through Sunday. Now I just need to match it up with other coupons I have. (It can’t be used with any other $/$$ coupon though)

what are the in store flyers you mention for the tide stain releaxse 1.50 off coupons. I have 3 but need 3 more so i can do the deal with the dawn. please help!! does that mean cvs has tide coupons too? cvs won’t take publix coupons for tide stain release will they? Thanks for all you do. i got my free nail clippers, candle, and mascara from publix plus a little change back. so much fun!

      • Val

I am planning on using my publix coupons at my cvs. My store takes competitor coupons, but not all do. You should call your local store and ask.

      • jennifer

It my CVS there was a blinky machine with $1.00 off the tide stain release.

      • Anne Marie

I didn’t have enough either, but I did have 3 of the Bounce Dryer Bars. I also only had the $1 off q’s, so I got 3 of each, not the awesome deal Jenny has, but still a great deal!

    • Susan

I have a question about the Fruitopia/Viologie going on sale for 1.99…if the coupon is for $2 off, will it work, since the coupon is more than the sale price? I just want to know before I try it, thanks! I have several of those coupons.

      • kelli

they will most likely adjust the coupon(s) down to $1.99.

I have been unable to find the Reinventing Beauty Magazine…

        • Susan

You might want to try asking a clerk/manager about these. My store wasn’t putting them out, and then an employee who transferred down here found them, and started putting them out. My store apparently didn’t think they’d sell, so they didn’t bother with them. There are some awesome coupons in them right now; $2 of Fruitopia, $2 off Viologie, $1.50 off Softsoap Nutriserum…which my store has a $2 xbuck back, also. I picked up several more magazines today in anticipation of next week’s sale.

        • Jennifer

I had a hard time finding the magazine also, I looked all over the store and they ended up being on the checkout counter at the end when you first come into the store…

        • Julie

My store had just the coupons out on the shelf above the RB mag. and I didn’t even have to buy the magazine!!! WOW!!! but it wasn’t in my ad for $1.99. Are the ECBs just printing out on their own?
          Thanks

      • Amber

I would just pair it with a cheap filler to cover the difference to be safe, as the coupons will be taken off the end total. My cashiers don’t adjust the prices. Hope this helps.

      • Abigail

I just did the deal that jenny had set up with the violage and frutopia shampoo and it took the whole $2 off for both. Unless you get a cashier that’s really picky or really takes notice, then you won’t have a problem.

    • Brandi

Is the Tide Stain release detergent or stain remover like shout? I hope I don’t sound dumb! ;)

      • Alissabeth

It’s either a tablet (kind of like a dishwasher tab), powder or liquid that you add in. Kind of like Clorox 2. I have used the liquid only so far and it got set in strawberry stains out of my toddler’s white shirt, the first time washing it. I wouldn’t try any other form, personally.

        • Terri

I’ve used the powder stain booster and it worked great for my 3 year old’s grass stains from soccer.:)

    • Migdalia

I’m confused about the Alli scenario…

$10 ECB wyb Alli Refill Pack 120 ct at $59.99 limit 3
-$15 off Alli Weight Loss product RP 7/26 (exp 9/30) (makes it $24.99)
(tip: use with a $5 off $25 coupon makes it $19.99)

I might just be having a moment here, but I don’t get the math.
      59.99 – (15 Q + 10 ECB) = 34.99

      What am I doing wrong?

      • katbug

I think she might have meant to use two $5/25

        $59.99 -15 Q -10 ECB -5 storeQ -5 storeQ = $24.99…don’t really see how it could be $19.99

    • lynn

Hey you guys–I have been using coupons for about 2 months now at CVS…prior to that I used to get coupons on my receipts all of the time, but now I don’t get anything besides my ECBs. Anyone else have this issue? I emailed CVS customer service, but they just explained the ECB system to me–like I was crazy. We don’t have a magic coupon machine in my store, so I cannot try that either. Any ideas why I would not get coupons anymore?

      Thanks in advance!!

      • kelli

I rarely ever get coupons. I almost never shopped in CVS before I started couponing but I know that when I stated (around memorial day) I used to get more coupons. Now I almost never get anything but my ECBs.

      • Alissabeth

In my experience, coupons usually print for me Sat, Sun, Mon, or Tue. It also seems like certain products trigger them. *shrug*

      • Katrina

I think it is related to how much actual money you spend and what you buy. Since I started CVSing, I have spent less actual money and, therefore, have gotten fewer coupons. I’ve started trying to buy OOP some products that have comparable prices to other places to increase my chances of coupons. For example, every Sunday I go and buy my Charlotte Observer (or two) at CVS and usually I get a $3 off $15 or a $4 off $20. I don’t buy anything else in that transaction either–just the paper. The clerk asked me why I didn’t just subscribe to the paper, and I told her that then I wouldn’t get a $3 coupon every week. :)

        • Robin

I almost always get a 4/20 and my sister never gets any. The only difference in our shopping habits at CVS is that I get a lot of prescriptions filled there. Wonder if that’s it?

          • Abigail

I think that getting prescriptions there does make a difference. I never got coupons printed off before but last week we transferred one of my husbands prescriptions there since we had a coupon for a $25 gift card and then today I got my first coupon.

    • Penny

      Hi Jenny,

I don’t get the CoverGirl. When I use a B1G1 coupon they take off the lowest priced item. In that case, the total is $3.99.

Thanks for a great website. You have no idea how many people you help.

      • Jenny

Because of the wording of the coupon the free item is not to be the foundation but whatever the other item is. It also doesn’t say that they have to be the same price. I know some cashiers don’t understand but try to point that out to them.

        • Teri

I had the same problem with the Covergirl B1G1 coupon. My cashier was great and even let me try several different product combinations, but the register just wasn’t accepting it. Any ideas??

      • kelli

I got 3 $15.99 items for free with the bogo coupon. I had to talk to the manager but after he read it, he agreed with me and told the cashier to override it.

    • I’m confused….

How do u get to use that many coupons on the items like with the Vaseline Sheer Body lotion? Can someone please explain this to me? I’m new at this…..

      Thanks

      • Jenny

Tiffany you can only use manufacturer coupon per item, if you see multiple coupons listed that is just to help you find what is out there.

    • Hi

Im sorry ….to ask to many questions but I’m new to this.

On the $3 ECB wyb Almay Mascara and at $5.99 deal after you use your coupon for the $1.00 off, then that makes the product only $1.99….so can u use the $3 ECB on the item then or do you have to pay $4.99 oop and just get the $3 ECB bucks to use on the next purchase for something else?

      • Jenny

You will get the ECB after your transaction to use on the next transaction. But, if you already had an ECB from another deal you could use it to pay and you would still get the $3 ECB back from this deal.

    • Brittney

I still dont think i get how to get more that 1 of the 5/25

I tried to use more than one of the last online coupon and it gave that error.

      • Abigail

You have to retake the test each time to get a new one. Before you start the quiz, you have to right click over the “Click here to start quiz” and click on settings. I have vista so a little box shows and you move the arrow to the far left. It then shows a box saying that doing this will erase all of the websites memory, or something like that. Close both boxes out. Then right click and click on settings are reset it to your original setting. Then you should be able to take the quiz and get a new barcode. If you do this each time before retaking the quiz, you can get as many as you want. Hope this helped some.

    • i thought the five off 25 was 25 dollars after all the coupons, but you are using them before the coupons and they are letting you do this

      • Karen,
Yes you can use the $5/$25 before your other coupons. Order does matter. Give your $5/$25 coupon first, then your CVS coupons, then your manufactures coupons. Finally, if you have any ECBs to spend, hand those over.

        Hope that helps!

    • Sindy

Is it true that only 5 coupons can be used per transaction?
CVS Reidville Rd Spartanburg, by Bilo…..please advise?

      • libby

Never seen that before…I used many more than 5 per transaction.

    • benz1968

      Emily says:
      September 25, 2009 at 12:33 pm
      Okay, go here.

      http://www.cvs.com/flu/?WT.mc_id=FH_092109_CVSHome_Flu

Where the red banner is that says “before you come in…”, right click on it and hit settings. You should see it then.

Emily I’m very interested in knowing how you do this. I tried it and as previous poster setting came up but nothing to change to zero or 100. Could you explain a little further. I would greatly appreciate it. A media player small box appeared with a little pic of computer, computer camera and can’t remember what else. TIA!

      • Alissabeth

That’s what pops up on mine….a media player box, but nothing else.

      • Emily

Hi, I’m not sure why you aren’t seeing it. When I right click and hit settings, it comes up Adoble flash player settings. It says “How much info can CVS.com store on your computer?” Then, there is a little slider that is marked at 100 KB and I can drag it to zero. This makes it so that CVS.com doesn’t recognize that you have already done the survey once and gotten a coupon. Click okay, change it back to 100, and it works fine for me. Those other icons are on my pop up thing, but the slider is above it. Hope this helps.

        • christa

Got it to work. I was able to print 4 more all with different bar codes. Thanks for the info.

        • amyt

          It worked! Thanks, Emily!

        • libby

Thanks I knew somebody must know how to get more coupons

    • muna

on P&G if we getting 10 ECB can we buy 6 tide because limit is 1 or we have to buy 1 of each

      • Jenny

The limit for the ECB is one, but you can buy as any of the items in the deal to equal $25 dollars you will just only get one $10 ECB so if you buy $50 you don’t get another. They don’t care what you buy to get the $25 though.

    • Janine

My local CVS (Hillsborough Road in Durham, NC) just dropped the price of the trial size Schick disposable razors to 99cents. Many of the $1 and $3 coupons for them expire today or 10/4. Watch what they ring up though, as they originally rang up as 1.29 and had to be price modified.

Also, I used my $3 off coupons. When I went in previously, I was told by another cashier that the coupon could only be for the amount of the product, so I lost my $2. Fine, since the coupon was expiring. Well today, the coupon was ringing up for the full $3, so you can get even more razors. I think we left with 40+ razors and $4 OOP. Won’t need to buy them for a while…

      Janine

    • meg

For the Covergirl deal, which of the foundations is $6? TIA

      • Wendy

I’m no help. I couldn’t find any of the foundation on sale for $6. I had to settle for the CG Smoothers at $8.99 and purchased the CG Outlast Lip Stain on sale for $7.

        • Teri

and this worked? my CVS wouldn’t let me as the register wouldn’t accept the coupons (the B1G1 and the $1 off any CG product) my cashier was great and let me try several different product combinations to try and get it to work but her register kept beeping at us… should I try a different CVS?

      • Abigail

At my CVS, it was the original one that comes in a glass bottle and is shaped like a genie bottle (best description I could think of). It was $6.19 at my CVS.

    • stephanie

Just got back from doing the Tide stain deal. My cvs in Charleston has a blinkie in front of them for $1 off one.

      • Angie

In B’ham, the Rocky Ridge Rd CVS also had a $1Q blinkie in front of the Tide Stain Release. The store also had a nice supply of the liquid and gelpacs Tide.

      • kelli

My store in bburg, va also has the blinkie. I already had my coupons figured out but I grabbed a couple anyway because they don’t expire until 8/31/10! I figure there might be another great deal along the way and these will come in handy. :)

    • Katherine

Went to CVS earlier this afternoon and did great – spent $12.58 OOP for $88.72 worth of stuff. My CVS also had the Tide blinkie in front of the Tide Stain Release. Here’s what I bought:

      Transaction 1:

      Purchased:
      2 Pantene hairsprays (2/$8 deal)
1 Vaseline Sheer Infusion (I went to a new CVS today and they let me get the 3-day sale item early)

      Coupons:
$3 off $15 purchase (CVS coupon)
      2 – $1.00 Pantene coupons
$1.50 IP for Vaseline Sheer Infusion
      $3 ECB from last week

Total with tax: $7.27 OOP, $9 ECB back (the clerk had to manually print the $7 ECBs for the Vaseline deal since it was early)

      Transaction 2:

      Purchased:

      2 Bounce Bars
      4 Tide Stain Release
      1 Dawn

      Coupons:

      $5 off a $25 purchase CVS coupon
4 – $1.50 off Tide Stain Release coupons
2 – $1.50 off Bounce dryer bar coupons
      $.25 Dawn coupon
      $9 ECB from Transaction #1

Total with tax: $2.53 OOP, $10 ECB back

      Transaction #3:

      Purchased:

      2 Kellogg’s Cereals (2/$4)
      1 Olay Definity Face Wash
      1 Fruitopia Shampoo
      1 Viologie Shampoo
      1 Venus Breeze Razor

      Coupons:

      $5 off a $25 purchase CVS coupon
      $3 Olay Definity coupon
      $2.00 CVS Viologie coupon
      $2.00 CVS Fruitopia coupon
      $1.00 Kellogg’s coupon
      $2.00 Venus Breeze coupon
      $10 ECBs from Transaction #2

Total with tax: $2.78 OOP, $5 ECB for next time

Jenny – thank you so much for this website. I am able to save so much and feel very blessed. Any extra freebies that I get through my coupons and planning I plan to donate to the local battered women’s shelter.

    • Hilary

I dont know if anyone has mentioned this or not, but there are .50/1 off any size Dawn dish soap out there. Im not sure which date insert its from, but it expires 9/30.

      • Jenny M

        Hilary,

The .50 Dawn was a home mailer. You can always check http://www.hotcouponworld.com for what coupons are “out there”, just to go the site and click on coupon database. Thanks for reminding me that I have a .50 Dawn coupon to use.

    • Hilary

Alright, I know about HCW but I was just flipping through my q binder and came upon the .50 one. Just wanted to help someone out. :) And your welcome!

      • Hilary

Whoops, meant to put that under my last comment! :)

    • Hilary

Where you do get the CVS Reinventing Beauty Magazine??? Is it in the store??

      • kelli

        I still can’t find it in my store…. I’m sad! :(

        • kim

If your store has a magazine section, it may be there. I found it right below the pharmacy counter.

        • Dale

I found the magazine by the registers in the front. Be careful, they had both the new one and the old one displayed. Check to be sure you get the latest one, as the coupons in the old magazine have all expired.

        • Abigail

Ask someone. I asked a sales girl and she showed me a spot near the cosmetics. After looking I realized they were old issues and I asked the manager if they had new ones. Thankfully she was more then happy to go in the back and look for them, which she found. =)

        • Abigail

Jenny thank you so much for all the hard work that you do. I’m a full time pharmacy student and my husband works full time and goes to school part time, so needless to say we’re on a very tight budget. Until I heard about your website, we were scraping to get by. Now, we’ve got more than we ever thought possible with the $60 grocery money that I get each week. My husband always asks me how much I save when I go to the store. I can’t wait to tell him that today I went to CVS and got $103.45 worth of stuff and only paid $17.61, which was actually a gift card that we got for transferring a prescription. I never used CVS and now I LOVE IT!! Thanks so much!

    • christa

Looks to be a nice week.

    • Julie

      Hi Jenny,

I tried to use (2) $5/$25 coupons at CVS (different transactions) and the system would not allow me to use another one. Any way to get around this? Thanks!

      • Emily

see post 35 above. You can’t use two coupons with the same barcode numbers

    • Val

I went to CVS this evening and everything went as planned which was great. I did the deal for the P & G products. Total OOP was $1.01 and I started with $6.00 ECB.

      Purchased
      1 6 Rolls Basic Paper Towels ($0.25 MC & $1.00 Publix Coupon)
2 Tide Stain Release ($2.00 MC & $2.00 Publix Coupon)
      2 Bounce Dryer Bars ($1.00 MC, $1.50 MC & $4.00 Publix Coupon)
2 Puffs Tissue ($1.10 Publix Coupons)
1 Dawn Dish Liquid ($0.50 MC & $0.55 Publix Coupon)

All Publix Coupons came from the “Put Clean in Your Cart” booklet (all expired 9/26). I had 2 books (my Mom gave me hers). Also in that booklet there was a coupon for a free roll of Bounty Paper Towels when you purchase 3 qualifying products, so I was able to get 2 Rolls free. Very happy with the shopping trip and thankful that my CVS takes competitor coupons. Spent $1.01 OOP and have $10 ECB for next week. I love CVS!

    • Carole

Just wanted to let you know that the Dawn Hand Renewal is also included for $1, and there was a $1 home mailer coupon that I used to sweeten the deal! I couldn’t believe how well stocked it was – at least
      10 of everything.

      • kelli

I finally just found my refresh your nest for less mailer. I didn’t get to use the $1 off coupon for the deal I will be going to get another bottle for free! :)

    • Jennifer

      Jenny,
I don’t know if this has been posted, but I found a -$2 for L’Oreal in the RP 9/13 (mine says Save $2 on any Visible Lift product OR any L’Oreal makeup, powder, blush or concealer)so the lip gloss should be covered under makeup…and a -$2 for Duracell in the Kmart total savings booklet. I don’t know if we can use the duracell, it says $2 off any duracell saver pack 8-pk. AA or AAA, etc. Do you think we can still use it since the pack is larger (16 pack)? Thanks for your help!

    • kelli

I had a great trip to CVS today. Unfortunately I’ll have to go back tomorrow morning because I didn’t have all of my coupons ready for tonight… but it’s not all bad. I wanted to make sure that I got the P&G deal that I had planned before others could. I checked out the shelves yesterday when I ran into the store and noticed that they only had 7 dryer bars and 5 of the liquid tide stair release… we did 2 transactions. One for my fiance and one for me.

      Transaction 1:
      1 Dawn Soap = $1
      3 Bounce Dryer Bars = $4 each
2 Tide Stain Release liquid = $4 each
      1 Tide Stain Release 10 ct = $4
      used:
      – $5/$25
      – (3) $1.50 off Bounce Dryer Bar
      – (3) $1 off Tide Stain Release
      – (1) $.25 off Dawn any
      – $13 ECBs
      Subtotal: -$.75, Tax: $1, OOP: $.25

      Transaction 2:
      1 Dawn Soap = $1
      3 Bounce Dryer Bars = $4 each
3 Tide Stain Release liquid = $4 each
      used:
      – $5/$25
      – (3) $1.50 off Bounce Dryer Bar
      – (3) $1 off Tide Stain Release
      – (1) $.25 off Dawn any
      – $11.99 ECBs
      Subtotal: $.26, Tax: $1, OOP: $1.26

Total OOP: $1.51, Total saved: $64.35

Is anyone on here from Atlanta, and interested in a workshop. Let’s combine efforts to have Jenny come here. Email me at margie@atlantaintown.com. Put southernsavers in subject line so I can find you in spam; (just in case) and I will fill you in on details. I have a location in mind, but dont know if anyone around here would come.

    • Stacy

I went to CVS this morning and did #1 and #3 from Jenny’s Grand Plan. The cashier told me that the $5/$25 coupon was supposed to be one per customer, but that she would let me use one for each of the two transactions just this time. I told her I thought it was one per purchase. I took the quiz twice on two different computers, so I had two legitimate coupons (different barcodes). Has anyone else had this experience?

      • Sandra E

        I think I would just make two trips…and hopefully get a different cashier… :)

    • kelli

2 transactions today. My CVS doesn’t open until 10 on Sundays, I was there just a few minutes after that. :) All of the furniture and stuff that they had for summer was 75% off, the school supplies were 90% off.

      Transaction 1:
      1 Vaseline Sheer Infusion = $7.99
      1 Pantene Pro-V Shampoo = $3.75
      1 Pantene Pro-V Conditioner = $3.75
      1 Aveeno Shampoo = $6.49
      3 Sterilite 3-drawer desktop storage (75% off) = $1.99 each
      used:
      – $5/$25
      – $1.50 off Vaseline Sheer Infusion
      – (2) $1 off Pantene
      – $2 off Aveeno
      – $16 ECBs
      Subtotal: $1.45, Tax: $.90, OOP: $2.35, ECBs earned: $11

      Transaction 2:
      1 Vaseline Sheer Infusion = $7.99
      1 Pantene Pro-V Shampoo = $3.75
      1 Pantene Pro-V Conditioner = $3.75
      1 Aveeno Conditioner = $6.49
      1 Laptop desk (75% off) = $3.75
      used:
      – $5/$25
      – $1.50 off Vaseline Sheer Infusion
      – (2) $1 off Pantene
      – $2 off Aveeno
      – $14.98 ECBs
      Subtotal: $.25, Tax: $1.04, OOP: $1.29, ECBs earned: $11

Total OOP: $3.64 (a little higher then I was planning)
      Total saved: $88.18

      Total OOP this week: $5.15
      Total saved this week: $152.53

    • Ann

Just wondering on the cover girl or any other similar situation really. Can I buy a foundation and another cover girl item and use the B1G1 Q and (2) $1.00 off both items, or can I just use the (1) $1.00 off with the B1G1 Q?

      • kelli

If you use the BOGO and you can only use 1 of the $1 off coupons because technically you are only “buying” one of the items since the second one is free with the BOGO coupon.

        • Ann

          That makes sense. Thank you.

          • Wendy

Just a warning – I used the BOGO and one $1 off today. I purchased a $8.99 foundation and $7 lip stain. My clerk was confused so I explained the BOGO meant I got the $7 product for free (she tried to take off the $8.99 item). Then she scanned the $1 off coupon and the register beeped and stated no matching product found. IDK…but after walking her through it, she finally did an override and entered a $1 off. She said they got a lot of grief for things like “this”.

    • Susan

My CVS doesn’t have the Fruitopia or Viologie shampoos and conditioners on sale for $1.99; it’s not in our ad or labeled on the shelf in the store. :(

      • kelli

I thought that I was losing my mind because I couldn’t find this in the ad and it wasn’t labeled on the shelf. My store also had the Pantene sale as 2/$7.50, not $8. I haven’t been able to find the Fruitopia or Viologie coupons anyway, so it’s not that big of a deal for me. I’m just glad that I’m not totally crazy.

        • Susan

I had gotten a few of the magazines, so I was excited to be able to get several bottles of free shampoo or conditioner. I was really disappointed not to see them on sale in my area.

          • Julie

boo hoo, me too! our store even had coupons out for FREE so I didn’t have to buy the magazine.

    • Scott

      ****DEAL ALERT****

At my Publix there is a “Cooking up Early Detection” tear pad to receive a FREE pink kitchenware set from Good Cook’s Hope line by mail by purchasing $25 or more of participating Proctor & Gamble products – including Tide, Bounty and Dawn from the deal above.

The set includes a 10″ covered deep saute pan, set of 4 plastic measuring cups, ribbon timer and high temperature chef spatula.

I hope CVS is a participating retailer because I am sending in my CVS receipt of 4 Bounty dryer bars, 2 Tide stain release and 1 dawn dish detergent for exactly $25 from this weeks deal. Form says offer form and receipt must come from same store but there are no tracking numbers on the offer form.

      • Ann

Wonder if it has to be $25.00 before or after coupons, or if it matters? Sounds like a great deal, thanks for sharing!

        • Scott

Well, the receipt is just going to go in the trash otherwise so it cant hurt to try and submit it. I did not see the tear pad in CVS, but maybe I will get lucky.

          • carol

I found the rebate form at my Publix and called the P&G promotion number on the back of the form. The rep advised me that CVS is not one of their participating retailers….darn!

    • Michelle

At my cvs they had the furniture and summer and school items at 90% off I paid a $1.29 for an entertainment center and $1.99for a laptop desk and .20 for pack of cups.

      • kelli

wow, I’m jealous! my store only had the school supplies at 90%. If the furniture and stuff would’ve been 90% off, I would’ve come home with A LOT more of it.

    • Sue

The CVS in Clinton, S.C. today would not allow me to use the $1 off Q. They sai that I would be using 2 Qs on the same item. Also insisted that they had to take off lowest price item even though the Q did not say this. They had already voided transaction once and there were people in line behind me or I would have cancelled the sale. I feel that I was not doing anything wrong with my Qs.

      • Sue

This was for the Cover Girl.

      • kelli

I don’t think that you were doing anything wrong. The manager of my store agreed that the BOGO coupon did not say to take of the lowest item, so the cashier did an override and took off the higher priced item. Also, they let me use the $1 off.

I have 2 CVSs in my town, one of them is very coupon friendly and the other is not at all. Of course the one that is about a 2 minute drive from my home is the one that isn’t very friendly…. I’ve mostly decided that I won’t be shopping there anymore, at least not as often as I used to. The only thing that I can tell you is to try to talk to a manager.

      • Parker

I have never been able to use a BOGO and a $1 off together at this store either.

      • Jen

Sue! I was there today too! I had an awful experience! I tried to get 2 thermacare items, had 2 Qs, and she wouldn’t let me use 2 Qs! She said I could only use one per transaction. I argued and argued with her about how I had 2 products and I could use 2 Qs. She never let me use them, so I left the store with nothing. I had already used my 5 off of 25 and so now that won’t work again. The cashier was soooo rude and made me feel like I was stealing from her pocket! I wonder what we can do about this store.

        • kelli

This is exactly how the people at the one store in my town are. They act like you are causing them physical pain when you hand them a pile of coupons. And then when your cash total is only like $1 and you’ve got $50 worth of stuff (even if you’ve paid a large chunk in ECBs) they act like you’re shoplifting.

        • Sue

When I was there early afternoon there were 2 cashiers and a young man (about 26 or so) who I took to be a manager. I only dealt with 1 of the cashiers at the register and the man. He backed her up. The other young lady was very helpful with my questions. Also I was able to get one of the coupon books from the pharmacy once I pointed out that the ad says “no purchase necessary”. The ladies in the pharmacy were friendly. Unfortunately, becase of the experience, I came away with a bad feeling. I feel that the cashier was wrong and needs to be trained correctly. It’s too bad that CVS doesn’t invite you to participate in a survey about your shopping experience! I drove 20 miles to get there. Maybe I’ll go in the other direction next time.

          • Jen

I thought that the manager was the man as well, but when I argued with him, he called the manager – whoever that was, but I never saw the manager. That is something else that upset me. The manager didn’t come talk to me. I love the Clinton CVS because they always have everything, but its not worth being treated that way.

            • Sue

Maybe the reason they always have everything is because they treat those of us who like couponing so badly. They are losing our business, one by one. I’m curious, what did the manager say?

    • Racheal

What is the 5 for 25?

      • Sue

Go to CVS.com & take the quiz about the flu and you can prrint a coupon for $5 off $25 purchase. You have to click on the “clinic” window on the CVS homepage.

    • Tanya

Do you have to do seperate transactions to get the ECB deals? This is my first time doing this and would like to begin to get the deals, but I want to make sure I do it correctly for the best results. Thanks

      • Kimberly

No, you can do them all in one transaction.

    • Carol

I have 2 great CVS locations in my town of Easley SC. Ya know I don’t hesitate to complain when I am unhappy and tomorrow I am calling corporate to give them props on their stores in my area…..If you have a good store out there make sure you call corporate and let them know this. If nothing else it would might make management take a closer look at those stores that are getting some deserved negative feedback and possibly get them the customer service training they so desparately need.

      • lynn

I agree. I have great stores in my area (even shared a Bounce dryer bar with the cashier yesterday because she wanted to try it!) They are so helpful and don’t take offense to the fact that I use coupons. I am usually asked for hints. Great shopping experience.

I will also say that I found the tide products very well stocked and that does not always happen (especially with the blinkies!!)

Could not do it without you Jenny! I have learned so much!

      • Sloan

The first time I shopped at the Easley store (the one near Bi-Lo, not the one near Ingles) I had a super great, very coupon friendly cashier. He let me use an expired CVS coupon and so my total was less than I had figured. I asked if he could hang on one minute, while I picked up something else, so I wouldn’t lose $3 worth of ECB (there was no one else in line or anywhere around) and he just offered to manually print $3 ECB for me instead! He was awesome. I have not seen him again, though. I have not had such great experience at the other CVS in Easely.

      • libby

I have two good ones too…one is definatly better than the other but I can’t be picky.

    • I saved 58.00 at cvs today check out my clearace find http://bargainfun.blogspot.com/2009/09/cvs-deals-another-great-clearance-find.html

    • FrankieP

Where do I get the coupons that go along with the ECB?

    • Dana

I went on a shopping spree at CVS and spent a whopping $5. I got 4 bags of tide stain release tabs, 1 bounce dryer bar, 1 bottle of tide detergent, 2 Pantene Hair Sprays, body lotion, 1 gillette razor.

#1: $9.99 – Gillette Fusion Razor (yeah I’m hoping John will use it) ;)
      -$4.00 off coupon
      -$4 ECB’s
      Total: 2.76 after taxes
      Got: $5 ECB

      #2: (2) $4 Pantene Styling products
$7.99 Vaseline Sheer Infusion Body lotion
      -$3 off $15 purchase coupon
      -$1.50 off vaseline body lotion
      -$1 off pantene coupon
      -$1 off pantene coupon
      -$5 ECB from purchase #1
      Total: $5.50
      Got: $9 ECB

      #3: (4) $4 Tide stain release tabs
      Bounce Dryer Bar
      (1) Tide Laundry detergent
      -$5 off $25 purchase coupon
-(6) $1 off Proctor and Gamble coupons
      -$9 ECB from transaction #2
      Total: 7.63
      Got: $10 ECB, and a $4 coupon

So, I spent $15.89 OOP ($3.41 of which is tax) and I have a $10 ECB, along with a $4 coupon on more body lotion.

      My savings today were $49.92.

My plan is to go back tonight or tomorrow for the 3M sale. After the $3 off $15, the coupons, and $10 ECB, it will be FREE and still have $5 ECB!

      • libby

        I have never gotten a $3 off of $5

        • libby

          sorry I meant $3 off $15

    • I’m irritated. I went to my CVS on the way home from work today, and found the Reinventing Beauty mag, and bought one. After I got home, I discovered the coupons were all expired. That’s lame that they still have it on the racks. Ugh.

    • Wendy

I had the same experience with the “Reinventing Beauty” mag too! UGGGGH! I had all my coupons cut out and when I got there, the coupons were all expired. Do they keep the same covers from month to month?!!!
It looks exactly like the one Jenny posted and it doesn’t give a date on the cover anywhere!!

    • GG

Has anyone bought the coca cola products and got the movie coupon, just wondering how it works………..

      • libby

I just got mine the details for the dvd process are in the desciption in the ad.

    • Vanessa

Hi, I am new at this… So far so good though. Thanks!!!
I dont have the Cover Girl B1G1 in the first scenario to even get this started, any suggestions?

    • I’m still not as good at this as you are. But I’m getting there. I spent $30 at CVS and got all that is pictured on my blog. I’m trying to add up the total savings. Maybe I can figure it out before posting on my blog.
I loved your workshop at Fellowship Community Church.
      I’m learning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Has anyone managed to get a “$100 worth of coupons” booklet for getting a flu shot at CVS? In the weekly ad, it says “no purchase necessary” in small letters below the banner, so I asked for one today and they would NOT give it to me. I called corporate to clarify and was told that “no purchase necessary” was there because some flu shots are covered by insurance and in that case you would not have to pay but would get the coupon booklet anyway. I’m okay with that, but I did wonder what coupons were inside – which products, manu or store coupons, expiration, etc. I haven’t had a flu shot yet – just curious to know if this is a good booklet to have.

      • lynn

look under the CVS archives and jenny has all of the coupons posted about 5 or 6 posts back.

    • Kat

Question–can you only use the $5 off $25 coupon from the flu quiz once? I used it a few weeks ago but would love to print another and use it again.

    • libby

Thank you so much for all you do I just had another great trip to the CVS’s in town.

    • Cindy

I bought $20 worth of Hershey’s candy to get the DVD Monsters vs Aliens for 4.99. It worked great & also printed off another coupon where I could buy another Monsters vs Aliens DVD for 4.99 so I bought another one too. Great deal!!

    • Sandra E

I had a great trip to CVS in Midlothian VA today! Bought the Sheer lotion, scope outlast & Almay mascara with $3.50 in coupons and got $11.50 ECB. In addition, I found a bin of Sally Hansen/LaCrosse/NYC makeup, nail polish & beauty tools all marked down to $1.00. I had $1.00 coupons off each, so I got like 6 or 7 items for FREE. (Great stocking stuffers!!) It helped pump up my total to $25 so I could also use my $5 off coupon. PLUS…there were still a few school items left for 90% off (got gel pens & markers for .05 each). I also bought a set of glassware marked down to half price $5. Total saved= $61.17. OOP was $11.27 which I paid with gift card, so I made $11.50!
Would have only been $6.27 if I hadn’t bought the glassware, but it was a good gift item and I figured it was free since I had the $5/25 anyway.
      not too shabby…

    • I got 2 end tables and a portable workstation for $12.29 saving $34.48!

      • Sandra E

I saw that stuff too… guess they are making room for more Halloween candy!!! Are you in VA?

    • Angela

Can someone tell me if there is a deal if you transfer your prescription to CVS? I thought I seen one time that there was some type of incentive for transferring your prescription? Thanks for your help!!

      • Abigail

Lots of time you can find coupons for giftcards if you transfer a prescription to them. I got 2 in the mail for a $25 giftcard so we transferred two of my husbands prescriptions and got 2 $25 giftcards! You can probably check online or call the store to see if they have any.

      • Allison

If your CVS takes competitor Rx coupons, Rite Aid has some on their website and also in the circular this week where you get a $25 gift card for transferring a Rx.

        • Angela

          Thanks yall!!

    • Candice

There is also a $1 off Q coupon for Nature Made vitamins in the new All You magazine too!

    • GG

Someone please read this over and let me know if this works the way I think………I am buying (9) of the 2 liter coke products and (2) bags of candy which equals $22.00 then I want the Monsters and Aliens dvd which is $19.99. Total is now $41.99, I then apply a $4 off $20.00 coupon and it should deduct $15 for the movie automatically, now the total should be $22.99. I have another $4 off $20, can I or should I apply it or just be happy getting 9 drinks, 2 bags of candy and the movie for $22.99 and tax?

      • libby

It doesn’t hurt to try I made sure to get to CVS get the dvd deal before the move came out so I would get a coupon and be able to break it into two transactions.

      • kelli

if you’re “spending” $40, technically you should be able to use 2 $4/$20 coupons, but really you aren’t paying $20 for the DVD, you’re only paying $5. I guess that it doesn’t hurt to try, but it I think it’s really supposed to be $40 after sales for you to use both.

        • GG

I did the CVS dvd deal. I bought (12) 2 liter cokes @ 3/$4.00= $16.00, (1)$5.00 bag of candy, (2) NYC eyeshadows, (1)Reinventing Beauty Mag and the Monsters and Aliens dvd, I used a $1 off the NYC eyeshadows and a $4 off $20 purchase(tried to use 2 but the register wouldn’t let me use 2 of the $4 off $20)after tax I paid $24.95 for everything…unbelievable, I would have paid $20.00 for the dvd alone…wow…..great deal

    • Stacy

Didn’t see this listed, but sorry in advance if it copies anyone.

From the Home Made Simple coupon booklet – $1/1 Dawn Hand Renewal (any size). Some expire 9/30, but new books came out not long ago with the same coupon expiring next March. Even if you don’t work it into one of the scenarios it’s free soap. :)

    • Alena

      HELP!!!
Can’t print Vaseline coupon, it keeps saying that I’ve printed it a number of times allowed, but I have not! ARGGG! I even tried to print it from a different computer, has anyone had the same problem, how do I get the coupon??? Thanks!

      • kelli

this usually means that print limit has been reached

    • Lindsay

has anyone gotten the bliss candy deal? the candies are b2g1 and there was a b1g1 q in the paper. How does that deal look?

      • libby

        The most recent paper?

        • Lindsay

          it was in ss 9/20

          • libby

            what was on the cover?

            • Lindsay

              yes

            • Lindsay

the bliss coupon was on the cover

    • libby

Anyone know how much the ponds is?

    • kelli

      Great trip today!

      6 button candy – 90% off = 9 cents each
      3 Dawn Hands Renewal = $1 each
      1 Gillette Fusion = $9.99
      12 First Aid Kits = $.99 each
      used:
      – $5/$25
      – (3) $1 off Hands Renewal
      – $4 off Gillette Fusion
      – (12) $1 off J&J item
      – $1 ECB
      Subtotal: $.41, Tax: $1.01, OOP: $1.42, ECBs earned: $5, Total saved: $33.37

Total OOP this week: $6.56 ($4.20 of that was tax)
      Total saved this week: $185.90

      • GG

I didn’t see the Dawn Hands Renewal in the sale’s paper, all I saw advertised was the regular Dawn. Is the Hands Renewal on sale for .99 or are you buying the regular Dawn using the Hands Renewal coupon?

        • kelli

the hands renewal wasn’t in my sale paper either but it was marked on the shelf at $1, just like the other small bottles of dawn, and all 4 that I’ve bought this week rang up $1.

    • Damien

I do not really like any of the deals at CVS week except for the Reeses/ Butterfinger (and the free shampoo if I can find it and the coupon that goes with it), but I definitely must go to use my $1 CVS that I probably should have used weeks ago when I had a total of .96 and decided to pay cash (lol). Oh well I will go buy a couple of 8 packs of candy and that will do the trick… too bad we never get those Reeses Coupons in our Smartsource.

    • Damien

I had a quick question concerning an extra care COUPON. Do these get treated as regular store coupons or more like Extra Care Bucks? What I mean is this: I have an EC Q for B1G1 Viologie Shampoo. Can I use two of the $2 store Qs and then use the B1G1 ECQ or is the ECQ no different than a regular store Q and cannot be used in addition to the CVS Q listed above? This would become a little moneymaker if it can be used that way.

      • Sandra

        Damien,
When I use the coupons like from the coupon machine or on the receipt, they ring up as CVS coupons, so it is a store q. You can use a mfg q with them…and of course the $4/20 or $5/25..etc.
        hope that helps!

      • libby

save that bogo coupon it will make both free next week

    • Catherine

I didn’t think I had anything to get from CVS this week until I looked at their flyer and this entry. I did the $25 of P&G products (2 Tide, 1 dryer bar, 2 stain release, 1 Dawn) which gave me a total of about $26. I used the $5 of $25, the $1.50 off the dryer bar and stain releases, the $1.00 of Dawn and the $1.00 off Tides. I was down to about $16 and getting 10 ECBs back. I had a raincheck from ages ago on the $7.99 Blink Tears, getting back $8ECB on that! PLUS, I had two ECB coupons for $1 and for $2.

I got back up to $25 with the Blink tears, but got $18 in ECBs!! I turned my cart around and loaded it up with $.88 8 packs of candy for my Halloween stash, plus some gummy worms for my son to have now. I ended up paying only $1 over and we’re set for Halloween! From both receipts, I saved over $70 off retail prices!

THANKS JENNY and all your helpers!

      • Catherine

Forgot to add that I also got some button batteries for my son’s toys that were B1G1 and I had coupons off for them. Super good trip!

    • Shannon

I have a question….can you use the cvs 5/25 and the walgreens(as a competitor) 5/25 at the same time?

      • libby

you would have to ask your CVS but the walgreens coupon is for $5 off after all coupons

    • kelli

      another great trip today! :)

      1 Gillette Fusion = $9.99
      1 Accu-Chek Diabetes Monitoring Kit = $14.99
      1 permanent marker = $.05
      used:
      – $5/$25
      – $4 off Gillette Fusion
      – $10 off Accu-Chek
      – $6 ECBs
      Subtotal: $.03, Tax: $.40, OOP: $.43, ECBs earned: $10 ($5, $5), Total saved: $31.95

Total OOP this week: $6.99 ($4.60 of that was tax)
      Total saved this week: $217.85

    • kelli

I was just wondering how much money other people have saved over the year? I only started CVSing on Memorial Day when they had a bunch of freebies. I wasn’t good at it at first but I’m pretty great at it now.

My year to date savings are $908.63
My fiance’s year to date savings are $939.54

I can’t quite believe how much we’ve saved over just 4 months.

      • If you are looking at your receipt, remember that is based on regular prices at CVS. How much are you spending out of pocket? :) That will help to calculate how much you have saved. Good job at your savings! I’ve saved about the same amount $800+ this year on each of my cards.

        • kelli

yes, I’m taking about the savings on the bottom of the receipt. I know that they’re based on regular CVS prices, so the savings is a bit inflated, but I’m still surprised. Even if stuff it half the price somewhere else, it’s still over $900 in savings. I think that our out of pocket for the year is about $75… it took me a little while to get the hang of things. And sometimes, when I’m saving a bunch of money, I just buy everything at once and pay a little bit OOP so that I don’t have to deal with the grumpy cashiers not wanting to let me do more than one transaction.

        • libby

How mayny cards do you have?
Do you ever have problems with mixing ECB’s on the cards?

      • kelli

this might be a silly question but do prescriptions count in the OOP on the receipt?

    • libby

I got my first $2 off of $10 coupon today!
I have never gotten anything like it before.

      • Is it for CVS product purchase. I got one of those today.

        • libby

          ya

    • This is what I bought;
      3 Tides (different scents) $6 each = $18
1 Bounty 6 big rolls (however this didn’t say Basic) but it was $6 on sale so I thought it was part of the deal. = $6
      2 Hand Renewal $1.00 each = $2
      Total $26 before coupons

It said at the bottom of my receipt:
      Earned 20
      Need to earn 5

I called CVS but I won’t be able to do anything until Friday.

      One thought is this:
      1. Wait until Friday and call CVS.
      2. Go to CVS buy another Tide and then return it?
      3. Return the papertowels and buy a Tide?

      • libby

Just return the papertowels for the right ones and your rewards sould print.

    • libby

      I was so happy
I went to CVS on Monday and bought 16 powerades and 6 hersey bars.
I used a $5 off $25 coupon, B10G5 coupon on the powerade and 5 $1 off the combination of a hersey bar and a coke product. I spent approx. $2 (had to use $5 in rewards) and got the $15 off of the DVD coupon back.

    • I was so aggravated at CVS this week. I had a rain check for the Scope Outlast toothpaste from last week. The raincheck said quantity two, but I only wanted to buy one because I had one coupon. The manager said that I MUST buy two. I thought that was so ridiculous that I called corporate and they said that is NOT true. Now I wasted my coupon which expired yesterday. Oh well.

This same CVS gave me hassle a month ago when I tried to use $10 ECB to pay for a $9.98 purchase. They refused to ring it up as the $9.98.

The same mangager who wouldn’t take my ECBs also wrote a raincheck with a limit of 2 for something that the ad said was limit of 4. She refused to change it, saying that rainchecks are always a limit of 2. Corporate said that she was wrong on both those counts. Next time I should call corporate right there from the cash register and they will correct them for me.

      • kelli

wow, that’s really lame. do you have another store in your city/town? I used to shop at the store that’s closer to my house all of the time. There was one cashier that was there all of the time that was great. He was always amazed when I saved so much money and he loved it when I got back more ECBs then I spent…. he hasn’t been there in probably 2 months though. I don’t know if he got fired or quit but I miss him. Most of the other people who work there are rude and unhelpful.

Now I shop at the other store in my town. It’s a little farther away but it’s so much more pleasant. The people are helpful and friendly and are always so happy to take my coupons. The one cashier is always joking about the difference in savings/oop between me and my fiance.

I can’t believe that they said you had to get 2 if it says limit 2. That’s like saying that if the ad says “limit 2” you HAVE to buy 2, which is obviously not true. It’s also insane that they wouldn’t adjust your ECB down or give you a rain check for more than 2. I’ve gotten rain checks that say 5 before. There are lots of things in the ad that are on sale that don’t even have a limit, so why would it be limited for a rain check. I really hate it that their “rules” are so different from one store to another.

I think that the main problem with the store closer to my home is that most of the people who shop there are college students and I would assume that most of them do not coupon. I hope that your situation gets better!

I forgot to mention, next time you have a problem where you know you’re right, I do think that you should call corporate in front of them. Or suggest that they call and confirm.

        • That is what the lady at the corporate office said I should do next time. She was very helpful and apologized, and said she’ll be speaking to the district manager.

      Beginner CVS question…

On B1G1 items, if I have to buy 2 to get the savings, can I use 2 coupons?

For example, the Ponds face wipes are B1G1. Can I use 2/$1.50 coupons? Therefore, $15.00 (7.49 each) in Ponds products would cost me $4.50.

Thanks for your help. Love the site!

You should be able to use 2 coupons. I’ve done it many times.
