My Grand Plan. This week there is a shortage of free deals, but the three deals there are still make for great prices.  I usually get all of our paper products when they are on sale with ECB’s so I’m glad to be able to stock up.  It is also a great week having made extra money with last weeks deal!!  My plan this week is to do two of the deals from the list above.

(note if you wanted to do all three deals above then do the Nivea deal last)

Buy:

It appears as if the link to the printable coupon for Hawaiian Tropic is not operational. If someone knows where the coupon is found, could they please post the address?

I have EBs burning a hole in my pocket from last week because of the killer deals that were posted on this site and I can’t wait to get more!

      • Jenny

I fixed the link, you are good to go!

    • andrea

Can you use 2 coupons on their b1g1 deals? I know you can at bi-lo because they ring it up half price.
How does CVS ring theirs up?

Thanks for all the hard work you guys do! I have been couponing for 2 and 1/2 months now, and my shelves have never been so stocked! I AM TRUELY ADDICTED!!!! You guys have no idea how much it helps having a place that helps you out so much. You guys are truely a BLESSING!!

      Thanks and God Bless!

    • Dony

I looked at this weeks and next weeks ad’s and i didn’t see anything to write home to momma about….. Not very good deals next week either so if you have some expiring you are in trouble like me…… :(

    • lynn

    • lynn

yes you can use 2 coupons on a bogo at cvs happy couponing like you my shelfs have never been so stocked i am amazed every week what iam able to buy using coupons and checking here has truely changed my life for the better thank you jenny

Has anyone ever tried to do a rain check at CSV on deals where the register is supposed to print extra bucks?

The last time I went into my local store, a few of the products I wanted were out of stock but a clerk said that I could get a rain check on those items. I would guess that the rain check would make the price of the item stay the same as it was when it was on sale but I am doubtful if the extra bucks would still be rewarded.

    • Shannon in ATL

      Shauna,
I do rain checks all the time at CVS and there is no problem with them issuing your ECBs.

    • Lisa

Was anyone able to print more than 1 of the Hawaiian tropics coupon? It told me I was at my limit.

    • Is anyone else having trouble with the Huggies coupon? I can’t get to the link anymore.

    • momtaylor37

Just make sure they write the ECB event code on the rain check and they will force the ECB when you redeem the check.

    • Shannon N.

I had $2/1 softsoap ensembles print for my two cards. Could be a good match up! I think the refills are $4.99 each so….

      BUY:
      (2) Ensembles bases @ $9.98
      USE:
      (2) $2/1 IP, RIB Q, etc
      (1) $2/1 CVS CRT
      OOP: $3.98
      ECB: $4.00
      TOTAL: $.02 MM

Also, the $10 ECB when buy Accucheck meter @ $14.99 is $10 MM after MIR. I’ve done the MIR on these a bunch and they have prepaid envelopes as well as there is no limit on the number of rebates you can submit as it’s 1 per meter, not per household.

    • Toby L

I see that the Charmin/Bounty deals says to buy $20 worth, but the total listed here is slightly below that amount. Will the ECB still trigger?

    • Toby L

In addition to my comment above, it says “limit of three” and the deal would be using four. Will that still work?

    • Jen G.

Hi Jenny ! I was just introduced to your website. This is great ! I do have one question regarding the CVS ECBs. I got a CVS card and the paperwork they provided with it says the ECBs will print out on my receipt every 3 mths. Does this mean I have to wait 3 months to begin using any ECBs ? I’m located in GA…so I don’t know if this is something new they started here or if I just don’t understand the way it works. I purchased one item…and the bottom of the receipt says ExtraCare Card balance as of 5/26 Spring 2009 Spending: 11.00

      Thanks,
      Jen G.

      • Jenny

        Jen,

Those are the quarterly ECB’s and they are different than the weekly deals. The ecb’s accumulate and then you get 2% back on your total CVS purchases for the quarter. The main program though is the weekly in store deals and you get them right when you buy the item.

    • Julia

Has anyone clicked on the Huggies link? It just says there is an error. Does anyone know where I can get it?

    • Emily

Is $2.00 for the Huggies wipes a good deal after using the $0.50 coupon? Or am I better waiting to use that elsewhere?

      • Jenny

I would really wait for the same price wipes at a grocery store. They will go on sale to this price and they will double the coupon… but it is an okay price if you need wipes now.

    • lynn

last week cvs i used a rain check rhat i got in december i had a rain check for the thermacare not only did i get the extra care buck for2.50 each from the rain check but i also got the 5.00 ecb for that weeks deal i made out wonderful by using my rain check and yes the were great about manualy giving me the rain check exta care bucks the people who work at the cvs i shop at are wonderful never have a problem with coupons rain checks ecbs or doing mulitiple transactions the get almost as excited as i do to see my savings… they have always told me the rain check never expires … cvs is one of fav. shopping places .

    • Angela

I was in CVS earlier today getting meds for one of my kids, and a $25 gift card…
There are several nice items on sale/clearance – Biore, John Frieda, Dove and Dial. I don’t remember what exactly, because I was in a hurry.
I’ve got some Biore and John Frieda coupons that are expiring soon, so I’m going back tonight. Will let you know what I find!

    • I cannot print the Hawaiian Tropic coupons. I still have tons of sunscreen from last year when we bought it from Costco. I installed their coupon installer needed supposedly for my Mac. Then I tried to do it on my virtual machine of Windows Vista and it says cannot print on a virtual software. I find it odd that it uses a similar setup as coupons.com and they work just fine! I guess I am not meant to purchase these this go around. =)

    • Does anyone know where I can find some Charmin coupons? Need 2 please.

      Thanks bunches!

      Michele

    • The Arm and Hammer Detergent isn’t on the website that it is linked to. Lots of other A and H but not the detergent. Is it just late or did I miss something on the site? Help!

    • Leslie

Shannon N- When you send in the accucheck rebate does it make you have anything from your dr. saying you are diabetic? thanks!

    • Amy

My CS will not take manuf coupons on clearance items. Anyone else have that problem?

    • Shannon N.

      Leslie,

it doesn’t ask for any proof… just wants to you complete a questionnaire as if you were diabetic. I really am, so I just entered in that info, like when diagnosed, how controlled etc. but there is nothing that requires “proof”.

    • dawn

does CVS take competitor coupons, i.e. Target?

    • Michelle

I found another good CVS deal for this week. The Clairol Natural Instincts hair colors are on sale for $3.99. There is a $4.00 off coupon in the 4/19 RP, which makes them free. I got five of them tonight. The coupon expires tomorrow (5/31), so you’ll have to get them Sunday!

    • lynn

my cvs takes coupons for clearance items did you ask why they wouldnt? or ask a manager also if any one has any if the 1.00 off j and j band aid coupons cvs has the first aid kits on sale for 99 cents in thetrial secyon and they did take my band aid coupon fr it i asked first just to make sure gla

    • Kim

      Toby L.
The charmin/bounty deal is buy 20$ of products get 5$ ecb. The total for 4 (4 x 5.88) is 23.52. The total that Jenny has in her scenario is after coupons. All CVS cares about though is the total before coupons. As for the deal being limit 3 that means you can do the whole deal 3 times. (Buy any combo of 20$ worth of TP or PT)
      ***********ALSO************
Just wondering if anyone knows what the 7.89 suncare products are? The cheapest thing I can find is 8.99 and that is for lotion that is 8 SPF.

    • Dale

On the charmin/bounty deal, can you throw in a filler and use a $5 off $25 along with it?

    • Julie

Okay, I’m sure this question has been asked before, but I cannot seem to find the answer. My CVS will not accept the same coupon multiple times in one transaction. So, for example, if I need to purchase three items to receive the ECB, can I purchase one item/use one coupon in three separate transactions? Will the ECB print out after the third transaction and the ECB requirements have been fulfilled? Thank you!

    • Kelly

While at CVS today I noticed an unadvertised ECB deal with Aveeno products. It was in a metro Atlanta (Roswell) CVS store and it was for 10 ECB when you spent $20 on Aveeno. I double checked the deal tag and the date said it ran this week, however it’s not in the ad. I hadn’t done the deal yet, but was curious if anyone else found this Aveeno deal at their store. I didn’t know CVS ran unadvertised ECB deals.

    • Dianna

      Julie,
I had a similar problem today. The coupons that I used say: Limit 1 coupon per purchase. I purchased 3 of the Huggies wipes. Had 3 coupons. The regiser regected the 3rd coupon. The cashier handed it back to me and stated “you can use only one per transaction”. I sd “no, one per purchase.. I am purchasing 3”. She did not budge & called the Mgr. she also stated one per purchase. It was somewhat of a contradiction because They accepted 2 but rejected the 3rd one. Also I ran across a deal not in the ad for aveeno. It was buy $20.00 in aveeno products & get $10.00 ECB. I purchased 3 items over 20.00 although one was on clearance for $3.99 so they adjusted the price at the register. My ECB’s didnt print. The mgr sd I couldnt use the aveeno on clearance for the deal. Dont know why because it sd buy 20.00 get 10.00–DID NOT say cant get clearance… UGG the frustration. I AM CALLING CORP FIRST thing in the AM!!! I’ll ask about using multiple (same) coupons in one transaction.
Will update on my response form Corp. tomorrow!

    • Dianna

No Luck from CVS Corp. They sd the will have district mgr call me. I requested the CVS coupon policy & she sd she can not provide that to me. Although she said it is very strict & that they do not accept I-printable coupons…well they are used/accepted by managers decision if they use them & they can be refused without reason/cause. They said that there have been problems with coupons being reproduced.

    • Stephanie

Dianna~I can’t remember when but some time last year they no longer put clearanced items toward ECB deals. I don’t know why they didn’t except that coupon. I would have just told them to take it off and ring you up again separately with that item.

Julie~ Yes. your ECBs will print after the third transaction although they SHOULD take the same coupon as long as you buy as many items as coupons as long as the coupon doesn’t say once per transaction. I would call corp and ask nicely why.

Kim~ The lowest price here is also 8.99. Some locations prices vary. In your ad it should say what the price starts at.

      Dawn~ No they don’t.

    • Ann

My CVS manager here in Zanesville, Ohio is GREAT!!! He gladly takes ALL coupons (said that his district manager said to take all coupons -internet, competitors, stacking) and even adjusts coupons for purchases. He has apologized concerning the manager at the other Zanesville CVS (who is no longer there) and yesterday listened to my venting about my Wags experience. HE WANTS OUR BUSINESS!! If he could only “create” some good shopping deals for me – :)

    • Julie

I did the Hawaiian Tropic deal, the coffees, 2 cans of soup, used 3 ECB from last week, paid $13.86.

THEN I turned around and used the 10 ECB from that for Contact Lens solution, pantyhose and paprika (weird, but I needed that stuff NOW). After coupons, paid $0.97. So in all I got 9 items for $1.64 ea. Not too bad!

My CVS was selling the Hawaiian Tropic starting @ $8.99, though, not &7.89.

    • Becky

WOW!!! This was my first attempt at this, so I did have some initial money out of pocket.

I did the Hawaiian Tropic deal idea (my store also had them starting at $8.99) got two and used the coupons. Spent $15.24 total.

Then I used the $10 ECB right then to get THREE cans of Nivea shave cream for my hubby for FREE!!! The coupons brought them down enough that I had to get some filler items. Grabbed some Orbit, and my son grabbed a Reese’s cup, and had to dig out $0.13 to make up the difference.

Walked out of there with 7 items, technically 1.48 each. (after you count the $5 ECB that I still have. That’s CHEAP for Nivea and for tanning oil!!! So now I have shave cream STOCKPILED!!!

      Can you tell I’m excited?!?

    • Margie

There is another ECB deal this week on a blowdryer, and mine just happened to die this week too. $19.99 for dryer with $10 ECB so I think I will get it, apply the ecb’s to a bottle of tide, and use the tide ecb’s for something else. Cool!

    • Margie

oops that was walgreens – sorry for any confusion.

    • Stephanie

horrible deals this week so I only did the nivea deal for hubby since he uses it. I walk out paying NOTHING! I did use a couple dollars in ECBs that I didn’t get back but I gained some last week so it was okay.

    • Kim

Can you stack a CVS q with a mgr Q?

      • Jenny

        Kim,

You can stack a CVS store coupon with a manufacturer coupon!

    • Cori

Finally got the June clipfree coupon book for June today, but nothing earthshattering in it. They just tell you what you save, not what the price might be after savings.

    • Hi all,

Hope everyone is having a good week. I was able to print 2 of the Hawaiian tropic coupons no problem, and each has a different coupon “number” up at top right. So I believe both are legitimate. I did not try to print more as I only needed the two. Now, hopefully my store has the items. Half the time I go for deals they are out, but I will try the raincheck idea mentioned above next time that happens!

Thanks to all for your help!

    • Thought I would share this information with everyone. CVS is having a 2 day sale (6/4 – 6/5) markdown 40% on most items and has put Hawaiian Tropic suncare products on sale. I don’t know if the lower prices will generate the ECB or not but with the coupons this is a good deal.

      http://www.cvs.com/CVSApp/catalog/shop_sub_category.jsp?startValue=101&brandId=&no_new_crumb=false&navCount=1&prevVisit=true&navAction=push&resetBean=false&brandBy=&itemId=cat2561&filterBy=default&onProdList=true&brandName=

      • Jenny

        Heather,

Those are great prices, but just so you know it says online only :(

    • nancy

still having problem with the huggies link.

    • Emily

Kind of late in the week, but does anyone know if CVS offers the Hawaiian Tropic items with higher than a 12 SPF?! I have checked two different stores this week and all they had was tanning oil and lotions… I thought they made actual sunblock too? Maybe not…

    • Meg

Great deal on milk too, 2.79 $1 ECB makes it 1.79!

    • Emily

Checked a third CVS on lunch break today… no actual sunscreen to be found!
