Disney World Free DiningHeads up Disney fans, Disney World is offering Free Dining Plans to guests checking in between 9/2-9/25!  This is a great deal if you are planning a Disney trip in the near future.

Disney World will often run up to 30% off hotel stays as well, but Free Dining can translate into a great vacation.  To get the Free Dining Plan you must stay at a Disney resort, book tickets through Disney, and stay a minimum of 3 nights.

Guests staying at a value resort will receive the Free Quick Service Dining plan while those staying at a moderate or deluxe resort will receive a Free Standard Dining Plan.

I suggest calling Disney directly if you have any questions: (403) 939-7532.  Going in September with kids in school could be tough, but this is an exciting deal so I thought I’d share!

If you’ve never been to Disney or would like some more information on the parks a friend did a guest post series on Disney World not too long ago.

You can also get 20% or 30% off select rooms (it has to be certain rooms at certain resorts, not all the rooms in a resort qualify). Free dining ended up better for us, but you can ask the nice people at Disney to run both prices for you to see what saves you more. The free dining plan is also room specific (ie. not the basic rooms).

Additionally, if you are wanting to go b/c of free dining, check online to see if the places you want to eat at still have reservations available as many filled up back in March and April (especially Be Our Guest).

You can always book with Disney ahead of time and then add any promotions they come up with later (ie. we booked in March for September, but called and changed our reservation this week to take advantage of the promo).

You do not have to stay 5 nights to get the deal. We were pleasantly surprised to get the free dining with a 3 night stay.

I am a travel agent specializing in Disney Destinations. You do not have to stay 5 nights to get the deal. You need a minimum of 3 nights and 2 day park tickets in order to qualify for free dining.

We took advantage of this two years ago in October, during fall break. We were hoping they’d offer it in October again as they have in years past, and are bummed it’s only September. Oh well. It’ll make a great deal for someone.
