There’s something about a bar of homemade soap that makes it feel like the holidays to me.  If it’s been on your list to make your own soap for a more frugal Christmas gift option, get started now!

With DIY soap, you can make it really generic, or super personalized.  You can take it as far as stamping the person’s name right onto the soap and wrapping a bow around it.  Here are two different soap tutorials.  One is a basic end-result, with very detailed instructions to make the soap completely from scratch.  The other is a more personalized tutorial that uses a soap base instead of making it from scratch.
