DIY ribbon trees

Here’s a DIY I did with my girls a couple of years ago.

Supplies:

-Styrofoam Tree Form
-Strips of Craft Paper or Ribbon
-Pom Poms
-Pins

Cut out strips of the craft paper and loop it so that one end is on top of the other.  Start from the bottom of the tree and pin the loops side by side.  Once you’re done, hot glue a pom pom or tree topper to the top.

Tips that we learned:

-Don’t use thin ribbon – it takes too long.
-Don’t use sheer ribbon – it’s flimsy and doesn’t hold up well for consecutive years.
-Craft paper seems to be the most durable and easy to work with.
