Here’s a fun gift for the avid gardener in your life! You can probably easily find the materials needed for this project around the house.

Not only are they affordable (basically free) but fun to make and give as gifts too.

Materials Needed to the Project:

items needed

Branches – 1/4-1/2 in. around
Vegetable Peeler
Sharpie

Step 1: Head out to the yard and gather some branches that are approximately 1/2 in. around. We live near plenty of woods so the perfect branches weren’t hard to come by! I found a stick with a good sized base so I sawed it off from the other twigs.

Step 2: Grab a vegetable peeler and strip some of the wood back on one side, making for a flat side to write on. I was surprised how easily the wood could be stripped back with the peeler!

Step 3: Use a Sharpie or permanent marker to write the name of the herbs or plants in the garden. Note: If branch is green or has sap on it, let it dry overnight before writing on it.
