I am probably missing something, but the coupon for the MP3 player deal is for Office Depot, not Staples. Do they take competitor coupons? Thanks!

      • Jenny

They do take competitor coupons :)

Does anyone have any ideas on great deals on gift cards? I remember a couple weeks back there was a $5 dollar off $25 dollar GC for Macy’s (I think) at Publix. Has anyone seen any other deals out there that would be good for Father’s Day?? Would appreciate any help! Thanks :-)

    • Katherine

I buy my gift cards at Kroger because for every $50 in gift card purchases, I get $.10 off each gallon of gas at the Kroger Fuel center.

      Jenny:

Do you know the origin of this Office Depot coupon? At the last really awesome paper deal @ Staples, our local store’s management was sort of “blind-sided” by this coupon and and deemed it a photocopy b/c it didn’t have the Office Depot logo on the side of the paper, etc. It just happened to be on a day that their District Mngr was there and so they accepted mine, but declined my girlfriend’s q match at a store 30 mins away.

I’m going to try and use it, but just wondering if there’s anything more “authentic.”

      Thanks!

FYI, the rebate on the MP3 player is:

Rebate Reward: $15.00 Rebate Visa Prepaid Card

      Valid Dates: 05-17-2009 through 05-23-2009
      Postmark Date: 07-22-2009

FYI: the office depot $10 off $50 coupon expires 5/20!

Hey If I charged my Credit card with the MP3 players. Then could I pay my credit card with the Prepaid cards. Just want to know. Thank you.

    • Donna

I cant find the MP3 player. Was that like “while supplies last” deal? I dont see it on their website?

    • Melanie Stiles

I think they’ve removed the MP3 player from their website as it was out of stock. I called our local store and they held 2 for me to pick up. Our Sunday Staples ad had a “get a $10 gift card on purchases of $50 or more” coupon (coupon expires 5/23), so I took it so that I wouldn’t have the problem with the Office Depot computer-printed coupon. The wonderful thing was – the cash register deducted the $10 immediately rather than giving me a Staples gift card. Thank you, Jenny, for the heads up on this one.

    • Donna

Will I get the prepaid visa card at the register?

    • Sandi

FYI, the Staples on Harbison had 2 MP3 players left at 2 p.m. today. I bought 2 of them BUT they would not accept the Office Depot coupon b/c it excluded electronics. The cashier told me she had accepted the Office Depot coupons several times before but then got in trouble with her manager because the cashier “didn’t read the fine print.” I would have preferred to have a $10 off coupon, but I don’t mind paying $12.50 each for 2 MP3 players. Especially since Jenny told us about the MP3 players at Rite Aid recently for some low price–$10 or 15, I think. Thanks, Jenny!

    • Sandi

Oooooops–Correcting post 12, Staples had THREE MP3 players at 2 p.m. today and I bought TWO of them so I hope one of y’all is able to get the other one.

I went to Staples for the Navigation unit it was right up front so I did not have to search for it which was great since I had all the kids. They accepted the $10 off Office Depot coupon as well a coupon in their own add for this week where you get a $15 gift card with a purchase of $75 or more! So it was a great deal! Thanks

My Staples in wilmington, nc would not take it. the coupons stated not for electonics. But I bought it anyways becouse he would really like it. After I put his music on it. I just bought one.
