So far, not bad!! My hardest one is getting up early!!

    • VP22

This year I made a few cooking resolutions but I have not started working on them yet. I bake a lot and I usually am very great at it but for some reason, basic chocolate chip cookies are my Achille’s Heel and this year I resolve to finally make good ones!

    • ZJ

So far, so good. Our resolution is to pay our house down by 16%. Through budgeting, couponing, etc… we’ve been right on track!

    • cmr0304

I have been doing well thus far. My only goal is to keep in touch better. As easy at it is to keep up with people using email or facebook, it seems as if I have taken it for granted over the past years. My goal is to really keep in touch with people, whether it be email them, facebook, phone call, write a letter, or as crazy as it may seem actually go visit them personally ;)

    • MaryJ

I had a lot of new year’s resolutions in mind, but didn’t write any of them down. So, I’m really not doing too well.

The main New Year’s resolution for me is to lose at least 40 lbs. My friend and I are keeping one another accountable. I have lost five pounds at last weigh-in.

    • Whitney Pendell

    • stephanie

Not too well, I keep posting about it, but not doing them.

    • Sonya Whitaker Wiren

Resolutions tend to set one up for failure so I rarely make them. Instead I evaluate my life situation, strengths, weaknesses and map out a plan of action to make the New Year better than the previous. Might seem like knit-picking to some but I just look at each New Year as an evaluation similar to what you might have with your job. And…yes, I’m doing pretty well so far this year.

My New Years Resolution is to run 3 days a week…. so far so good

    • Cathy

I am striving to live fully. I had an epiphany one day recently about living – what is the purpose of our lives. It’s to live fully and be happy – not to accumulate stuff, not to be promoted so now we have vp after our names and more power, not to keep our lawns “properly” manicured. The purpose is to live fully and be happy.

So far, so good…I resolved to spend more quality time with my husband and to not sweat the small stuff. We’ve already had a date night (the first one in forever) and I didn’t fret too much over how long the wait was to get a table…this was huge for me, because I would have walked out a year ago.

    • lisabbythesea

My family has done quite well thought they are not aware of it! I have cut out processed food products on the sly and replaced them with healthier versions. I am vowing to spend less and eat better at the same time! All of us have been exercising on a regular basis and my daughters are attending a kid boot camp for the first time this weekend! Great start for a healthier family in 2013!

    • Jordyn’s Mommy

    • My New Year’s Resolution was to be more intentional with my walk with Christ. I believe so far so good. I would love to this year to be much more better than last year and I know that the only way I’m going to make that happen is to make sure I have a better relationship with my Savior. Thank you Southern Savers for helping us save money in our households!

    • Wendy

My New Year’s resolution is cliche, but it is to lose weight. The best part is I resolved to start before Thanksgiving, and through the holidays I managed to stick with it. I’ve lost 13lbs so far, and I can do an 11-minute mile now. ;) I can’t wait to get into a bikini for my hubby this summer. Only, 35lbs to go!

    • Kathryn Jobin Smith

My resolution was to focus more on my own needs and the needs of my family and less on others needs. So far I’ve been doing good with it but it has been a struggle to say no to people!

    • Jennie

My New Year’s Resolution is to Love. Regardless. That’s it. I’m going to just try to be like Jesus. Every day. I have already failed several times – but that’s the beauty of this one – God’s mercies are new each morning. Thanks for the chance to win!

    • Misty Griffis

That is great way to start the New Year..Thank you EBATES

    • theaikenparrs

I have been doing pretty good (resolution to live in the moment)–there are times my 3 year old twin boys really test my patience and I forget that the things I am stressing about really DON’T matter–but I would give myself a grade of “B”–still room for improvement!

    • thedealhound@gmail.com

I’ve been paying off debt and started a savings account. Just $200 to go and my washer/dryer will be paid off!

    • Laura Griffin

Couponing! First class on Monday so I think I am doing well!

    • Loralu

I have been doing 21Days to a good habit. Statistics show that it takes
21 days to create a habit. Each day I will take 10 minutes to organize or purge “stuff”. I have reorganized a spice cabinet, cleaned up and purged our school closet, made sense of the medicine cabinet, and so on. I have taken before and after pictures. It feels so great to get organized, and who doesn’t have 10 minutes? This could be something as small as cleaning out a purse or diaper bag! I have found it so fun and liberating. -Lora

      • Loralu

Forgot to mention that I ordered my new spice drawer organizer through Ebates! Ebates Rocks…waiting on a big fat check from Holiday shopping!

    • sissy

    • My resolution was to relax more and I have been doing really good!

    • Dawn

My resolution to pay down debt would be helped greatly by winning this prize from Ebates! I’ve already trained my self to always go through Ebates before making an online purchase. But $350 would really help me pay down some credit card bills, from a time in my life when I was less frugal!

    • DJGL

    • We resolved as a family to lower our sugar and move more. Right on track so far.

    • Katie N

It’s going great! I’m working on dropping one pant size (maybe 2) and 3 days after I got started, a girl from church started an 8 week “healthy competition” facebook group. $20 to enter, 20 contestants 1 winner. We share recipes, boast of our accomplishments, bemoan the loss of tasty food and trash talk a little – all in good fun, of course!

    • My resolution was to get back into excercising. My classes start next week!

    • shawn

      It’s going quite well!

    • My new years resolution is to live everyday fully. Live everyday like its your last and be truly thankful for every second you are here living on earth. It has really enabled me to be more careful with my time and do the things I am passionate about- whether that be getting more fit, being healthier, feeling the wind through my hair as I’m riding my bike, be more artistic, go to the beach more, and travel to places I love. Life is about living and not about sweating the small stuff. You never know if you have tomorrow. So far I have been doing great- it’s really a new mindset to live by. I’ve been riding my bike more, stressing less, hugging the people I cherish more and having no regrets. Loving life.

As a family we have only spent $14 this year and hope to spend $0 more until at least March (bills, groceries, and gas are the only things that don’t ‘count’ against ‘spending’). We also just paid down a few hundred in credit cards. Hope to continue the progress!

    • Rebekah

I just had my 3rd child 3 weeks ago, so I have not had time to think about resolutions! I did make a list of things to accomplish though and I I have completed one and a half of those tasks! With 3 children under age 4, I think that’s doing pretty well. :)

    • My resolution was to save more money. I have already started stocking up on gifts using southern savers and also sticking to my grocery budget.

    • mlw1ofakind

I have really done great and am super proud of myself because I have never had a resolution I could really keep. My resolution was to do better deals with my couponing and I am off to a great start! I am going to start trying to coupon for charity.

    • Elizabeth

    • Becca Z

I have been keeping my resolution….so far, so good!

    • Cheryl Abdelnour

THIS YEAR I HAVE DECIDED NOT TO MAKE ANY NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS.

    • Kristie

We (My husband and I) are doing great on our “resolutions”, especially since we started before New Years! We decided we were going to change our eating habits, eat things made from scratch as much as we could, from our juice to every day cooking! Also to be pickier about what we eat, where does it come from, are there any preservatives, pesticides, etc. Its going great! Granted it’s a LOT of work but the benefits are worth it. I’ve lost weight, we feel more energized, we look and feel healthier!

    • RJDLH

My resolution is to save more money this year on everything!

    • daytondoll

      so far–great

    • Patti Pizzano

      So far so good

    • Andrea Miller

I resolved to add more activities to my toddler’s schedule-we weren’t being focused enough. So far this week we’ve done one activity every day of the week!

    • Alissa B

Well, not so good on the new year’s resolutions yet. I am trying, but I am still recovering from the holidays. We had guests in the house from Dec 22 until this past Tuesday. It was fun, but goodness…I am ready to have my house back. But, what is 2 weeks late…better thank never. Weight loss and organization here I come!!

    • Ally

Doing good so far on mine. We got our garage cleared out so we could get a chest freezer in there for me to be able to stock up more on things we eat most. Now other goal is opposite of most people. I’m trying to gain 15lbs so I’ll no longer be considered underweight and can give blood again since I’m O-.

    • Ashley C

My resolution is to be more positive. I’ve been doing better at being positive for others rather than myself, but it is a start!

    • mmn

i am taking time to slow down and smell the flowers.

    • Dawn J

My New Year’s resolution is to get healthy in 2013. I have been keeping a log of every bite in myfitnesspal. I have worked out 3 times this week already. I also ordered a remote for my DVD player (through the Ebates site of course) so I can use those old work out DVDs in the back of my cabinet.

    • Barbara

I have been working so much I have been a little slow to work on couponing, but I am downloading Ibiotta today.

    • ant0288

    • jenny

      No new year resolutions

    • sandra

I didn’t make one then I don’t have to worry about failure!

    • LEE

Life is so short. I’ve lived almost 54 yrs and have come to realize this. I have made a resolution to remember to think before I speak so as not to hurt others. I’ve been very good at it all these years, but slipped up recently when I thought the time was right to “speak my mind” (in a very nice way, I thought). I ended up hurting someone deeply and regret it so much. I grew up with a mother who was VERY authoritative, not affectionate and almost like a dictator. I told myself when I got married and had kids I would NOT be that way. Yet, there I was. Following in her slimy stinky footsteps. I will NOT do that again. On a lighter note, I love to coupon and I love Southern Savers! This site is SO helpful to me and my family and I will be eternally grateful for all the effort that goes into doing this service for all of us who need to save money! I TRULY appreciate it from the bottom of my heart!

    • zackmom

      So far so good

    • kimberly

      doing okay

    • tcan27

My new years resolution was to not set unrealistic goals for myself and to spend my time wisely. I have been doing great so far what has gelped me is that I go for a run when the hubby comes home around 5 so I need to make sure that dinner is done and homework is complete so by the time he unwinds showers, plays with the kids and checks emails etc. I am back form my run and we eat dinner together. One cleans the kitchen the other cleans the kids. My schoolwork is done during naptime and diner is cooked while helping with homework. Shopping is done in the am after the kids are dropped off at school so we do not have to beat the rush on the wknds.

    • Elaine

MY new years resolution is to save and give as
Much as I can. I not only want to give things I want
      To give time and volunteer

    • laces

    • allison

Some days better than others, but I’m trying. One day at a time, right?

    • We would like to take our kids to Disney World in June. I know the only way I’ll be able to go and make it around is to lose weight before we go. I’ve started walking, eating healthier, and I’ve lost 4.5 pounds so far. Plus, I have high blood pressure, and I know the exercise and weight lose will help keep me around to see my kids a little longer.

    • Jenny Harrison

    • lehood

Making healthy choices most of the time.

    • sgad

I am having a great start to fulfillling my new year resolution to put family and friends first, people are the most important in our lives and putting off even the smallest thing to spend a moment with family is more important than a perfectly clean house, etc. I am making a point to facebook, email, call, write and spend time with people instead of objects and technology. I drove 30 miles just to give my sister a hug and see her between a flight at airport, have not seen her in 5 years, it was worth it!

As well as a garden/ farm to be so we can provide for the family in a more cost effective and healthier way.

    • Jean Stewart

Jean – Get more organized. I have tackled one project to clean out cabinets and making good progress.

    • barnesfamily

Resolution is to spend more time with my loved ones that can’t get out and do things because of oxogen tanks and bad health. what a blessing to see ther face when we pull up :) they are like little kids with big smiles on there face just to see someone, and to have someone to talk to. just the small things in life, we sometimes take for granted.

    • Karen

My new years resolutions have not been as tangible as in the past. But I am excited to trust God more and have specific ways that I am measuring/working toward that goal (in specific areas of my life).

I’ve been doing pretty well. Not perfect but BETTER

    • kbr54

    • Mimi

Great so far with healthier diet.

    • Lori

This year one of my resolutions is to clean up my potty mouth. I don’t remember how it got so bad but it has to go!

    • Jul

My New Years resolution was to journal. So I bought myself a “one-line journal” which has been quick and easy. Day 10 and I am still on track!

    • Jennb

My resolution this year is to stop taking every little thing so seriously. Sometimes I let the small stuff get to me WAY too much. I feel like I have done pretty well so far because I have just been letting things go that I would have obsessed over in the past. I am definitely a work in progress though. lol

    • Katey

Been doing OK, trying to be better orgainized!

    • runningragged

Alright. I am trying to be more organized and not sweat the small stuff

    • Beth

It depends on the resolution. I’m doing better with Bible reading, getting organized, etc., but not doing so well with eating and exercising. But, I’m not giving up on it yet!

    • Hollt

Trying to get more sleep….on that note, Goodnight :)

    • Tammy Smith McKenzie

Working out daily to lose weight

    • Krystal

So far so good! One of mine was to exercise more, which I have been doing 3x per week. This is up from zero! Also, I am looking to save more money by adding money saving tips each month. One way I am doing this is by going through Ebates for everything. Currently, I have 110.00 in my ebates account from xmas! Yea me!

    • shery stewart

I’m doing great! I already exercise every day, so I continue with that. l already use coupons and discounts, but plan on paying off my car and then saving that amount each month in a savings account. Also plan on starting a Christmas fund for next year. And I’m working on finding more happiness, pleasure and contentment in my life. Being satisfied and not wanting more. And, as always, I LOVE spending time with my grandchildren! I love them the most!!!

    • Ashley e

I have started my new years resolution of calorie counting, but had to cheat today due to a catered meetingtoday :( back on track tomorrow!!

    • Kimmy

My big goal this year was to give back with using coupons and sites like ebates for cash back and to pay it forward. I was able to get enough gift cards through Target promotions to donate two Big Boxes of Diapers to the Women’s Shelter as well as Formula. As a First Time Mom, I am learning how important it is to be able to give back to those that truly need it. It was great to drop that off along with some clothes that my 5 month son has already grown out of.

    • Debra

Moving steadily towards of these goals! : )

    • Carlene

I am still on track on being a wise steward of the money the Lord has given my family. I am exciting with all the savings this year.

      I am an Ebates member!

    • DSTPUNKY

My resolution was to budget and save even more. We were very behind due to my husband’s truck breaking down, so we haven’t been able to save, but I am on point with budgeting.

    • Abigail B

4/6th of our family has had flu the last week so the running resolution has had a slow start but it hasn’t been written off… yet. The Bible memory resolution has had a much more favorable jump start this year. Have you tried ScriptureTyper.com? It’s very cool. I’ve joined the Romans Project to memorize 3 chapters in Romans this year.

    • Amanda

Doing good! Started the Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred!

    • Trying not to eat after 7:00, so good so far!!

    • cbdlizette

I’ve decided that this year I want to maximize my family’s savings by couponing. I’ve went on one shopping trip so far and saved 51%. Not bad for my first time and I know I’ll get better at it with more practice.

    • I’ve been doing ok but I need to get serious now and go work out!

    • Candace M

I am doing great with my New Year’s resolution by making healthy smoothies for my family several days a week.

    • kim

Recycle & reuse. A year w/o buying clothes

      Doing well so far! :)

    • Sue

I promised to loose weight but sadly I haven’t started

    • Kim R

Hi Jenny, I’m on a limited buget now that I’ve retired early. I have made a new years resolution to make better meals for my fiance and my grandson who we are raising, he is 9. (He’s learning early how to coupon) So far so good, I’ve been saving quite a bit of money using coupons and your site. Thanks so much and please keep up the good…Great….work.

    • sue H

I was doing good until last night when I fell and ended up with a concussion and a messed up swollen face. This would be the ticket to back on track. Thank you

    • Amy C

Started a few days late, but I’ve cut out junk food, and replaced them with apples!

    • Each year I make a resolution to do what I can to make myself a better person, and so far so good. I started my second year of nursing school this month, and I hope to have my LPN sometime this summer. Thank you for your posts!

    • CC

    • Deanna G.

      I didn’t make any New Year’s resolutions.

    • Danyeln

My main resolution was to save more via couponing. I made my first grocery trip to Publix on Wednesday and only had 43% savings. Not too great a start BUT I did wait a whole 8 days into the year before having to buy groceries so maybe not as bad as I thought.

    • leighnamie

i been doing a lot better with sticking to my budget this year! hope to keep it up!

    • maggie

I have saved more money on groceries. I have also purchased toys that are really good deals for 2013 Christmas for my kids.

    • hovym

My New Year’s Resolution list is long this year…but 2013 has been a great year for me so far! I got the position in a research lab I have been working towards, I have been diligently following my exercise plan…the diet adjustments are happening, slowly :) and I have been taking time each day to remind myself of my own inner strength and capabilities as well as seeking out new ways to be influential in other’s lives. Doing pretty well for 11 days in!

    • anna

I love ebates! I don’t make resolutions. I just try to make better choices for myself and my family.

    • Ariel B

I’ve been doing really great in the start of the year. It will just be seen how easily I can access transportation in order to roll out my deals and coupons.

      btw I love Ebates.

    • NannaSusan

I don’t make New Year’s Resolutions, but I often make altar and prayer resolutions after a sermon… that happens all year long. By the grace of God, I’m doing pretty good on those resolutions.

    • I made a resolution to try to stay healthier inside & out! So far I have started Yoga & Zumba, got acupuncture for the first time & started cooking healthier for my family & I. With the changes so far I have lost 14 pounds:) & I’m feeling Happier & energetic! My children are “digging” the New Mommy which helps me to push myself to keep on this Happy, Healthier Path!

    • Amanda Hanks

I’ve been doing very well with my New Year’s resolutions! I am sticking to a strict budget and prepping for a 10K in March! :)

    • NannaSusan

I don’t make New Year’s Resolutions, but I do make altar and prayer resolutions after hearing sermons. By the grace of God, I’m doing pretty good on those.

    • elizabeth

My news years resolution is to reconnect with friends and spend more quality time with my family- Recent surgery has helped my resolutions come to fruition because I was forced to slow down and in doing so has enabled me to have more time for the people in my life.

    • Shannon

I have been doing just ok, but am continuously working at it.

    • Jennifer Mason

My resolutions have been going well.

    • Linds2862

I have not been doing well on my main resolution (to take away my toddler’s pacifier). I have been restricting it to naps and bedtime, but somehow she finds one at different times of the day and fusses over not having one. But i know in the long run, it will be best for to lose the pacifier once and for all.

    • My resolution was to eat more organic and raw foods for a more healthy mind and body. So far, it’s going great. Lost five pounds and free much better!

    • Lori P.

I’m doing a little better about eating like a grownup, but haven’t been to the gym yet :)

    • Nichelle

I don’t typically make resolutions. Removing from December surgeries so I’m not depriving myself of much right now. Not usual, but makes pain easier to get other treats. :)

    • mommywelsh

I have been doing great this year with my resolution and hope that it will continue. Thanks to all my family and friends for their support and help.

I made a resolution to straighten out our home paperwork. I am doing it small step by small step. Each day I finish a small project. At this rate I will be done by the end of February. We have already benefited from organizing our paperwork. We switch auto and house insurance to a different company. We are applying less and actually have better insurance.

    • KatieR

So far so good! Eating better, saving money and maintaining a positive attitude.

    • nurseteri

    • Cindy

Working on cleaning out and organizing – it’s going slow, but going.

    • Kevin Wilkie

Reduced our monthly bills by over 20%!

    • Charlene

I’ve done great so far. I’m down 4.4 pounds since January 1st. I’m excited to see what this year holds. Thanks and God bless you.

    • Debbie

I have been failing miserably! My resolution is to try a new recipe every week. So far, I haven’t made anything new!

    • dstone71

I love ebates! I did a lot of my Christmas shopping through them. My resolution to spend less money this month is going well; it’s the 11th and I’ve only been to the grocery store one time!

    • flamom

I’m going great-but I made an easier one this year! No more leaving my shoes in the doorway to the garage! Geez-I’m worse than the kids!

    • Erika

I’ve been following my normal resolutions very well. Keep trying to do better. As long as I have that, I know I can’t go wrong.!

    • LadySiren

      I’m doing TERRIFIC!

My resolution this year was to make sure that I’m actually around to see my kids graduate from college, get married, have kids of their own, and maybe collect some Social Security.

I have a love-hate relationship with food. I love it but hate how I go overboard. So my resolution this year was: Don’t Eat Like Jabba the Hut. I’m taking baby steps, because that’s all I can really handle right now. No more Coke (OMG), no more sugar in my coffee, sensible portions (no, I will NOT eat an entire box of Ding Dongs today), healthier choices.

I usually have the willpower of a wet dishrag when it comes to food, so I have no idea where this iron resolve is coming from, but so far? I’ve done EVERY one of the things I said I would. I’m avoiding all forms of soda like the plague. Coffee? I’m getting used to not having that sticky-sweet load of sugar I used to dump into it. I’m learning what it means to eat like a normal human being instead of an industrial-strength vacuum cleaner. And to top it all off, I’m actually eating – gasp! – healthier foods. Less processing and HFCS, more whole grains, lean meat, and produce.

It’s going to be a long road. I’m very proud of myself for right now though – I feel like I’ve got some measure of control back. And just maybe, I’ll actually get to see my kids walk down the aisle some day (if I don’t kill ’em first).

    • gatorgirl4325

      Moving forward little by little!

    • Sara S

Not so good. My resolution was to eat healthier. I have been adding more veggies to my diet but I still love full-fat yogurt!

    • Jess Karr

Some days are better than others… I do have an Ebates account and love it, but one of my resolutions is not spending as much money! ;)

    • Lisa

I’m taking things a day at a time. I’m attempting to let go of the past and focus on right now. So far, so good!

    • sundrop474

I don’t do New Year’s Resolutions. However, we began last year cleaning up the foods our family eats. We will continue to find whole food replacements for any remaining processed foods. And I’d like to try my hand a gluten-free baking as well. Thanks for the opportunity to win!

    • Amandajw

My resolution was to stop biting my nails. So far, so good!

    • mcollins5

I’m doing great (I didn’t make any this year)!

    • amber

so far so good on my eating plan, but need to start exercise

    • Christyn

Thus far, I’ve been doing really well with my New Years resolution! I’ve been eating in every day this week for lunch and dinner (using up all those buy 2 get 3 free pasta boxes I bought from Harris Teeter!). I’ve also cut out my cable/internet bill and lowered my home & car insurance by asking for addition discounts. I’ve also been shopping around for the best deal for the washer and dryer that I need to purchase for my new home. Looking forward to a thrifty year!

    • David

My resolution was to get rid of the clutter in our house…we’re making progress, but it’s going to take a while.

    • Cathy

My New Year’s resolution was to not be so distracted and focus more on my kids. I think I’m doing an okay job….but there is always room for improvement! :)

I have been walking every day for 1 hour!

    • dlbandjeb

      Still going steady!

    • Kat

I didn’t make any resolutions this year. If I resolve to do something, then I will do it. Too often New Year resolutions are just dreams and wishes, not things one actually resolves to accomplish.

    • I’ve been doing alright. One of my resolutions was to increase my income.

    • Terry

This is really a funny resolution, but I told myself that I was going to take the time to unsubscribe all the junk and spam emails that I receive instead of just deleting them. It seems like it takes forever and the same ones are popping up, but I’m sticking to it!

    • Terry

    • Lois

We’ve been doing well – my husband is busy with his work, and I busy working on my diet-treatment!

    • Beverly

My resolution is to live life to the fullest and to have more stress free days. So far so good!!

    • sedeka

As a “starving grad” full time phd student, I experienced tremendous financial pressure during the latter half of 2012 (I was caught in a loop hole because in South Carolina students don’t qualify for food assistance unless they are working 20 hours per week on top of doctoral courses, but I am on an academic scholarship requiring that I keep high grades with a full time status!). Now that I finally completed my doctoral qualifying examination this week, it feels that my life is back on track to implement my 2013 New Year’s Resolution:
to incorporate all the lessons from my SouthernSavers Workshop I attended, I’ve already taken steps to organize my grocery shopping and so much more. I know that this year will be better because this is my final academic semester and I can get a real full-time job in May 2013–I am almost at the finish line and thank you SoutherSavers for helping me take care of myself.

    • Sara

I’m a pudgy, fledgling writer. I’m doing great so far with my resolutions. which are to write every day and do a Jillian Michael’s workout. Hope to be a skinny novelist by next year. :)

    • Lynn C.

So far so good! On budget and working out 5 days a week…still need to tweak the food!

    • Lindsey

I have been doing alright, I have to remind myself daily that I can do it!

    • pollard1184

My resolution was to eat better this time around with my pregnancy. So far I haven’t felt like eating a lot so that has helped remind me about making healthier choices with what I am eating.

    • Rachel

No New Year’s Resolutions, so I’m doing great! I just want to improve on everything in my life.

    • sarahhirsch

my resolution for 2013 was to get more organized. i haven’t really started yet.

    • Alison

I’ve been doing great on my New Year’s Resolution. I only made 2.

      1. Study the Bible daily.

      2. Do what it says.

That guarantees me success in God’s eyes for 2013, and that’s all that matters. Have a blessed day.

    • Karen

I am doing great. I have been walking every day! I love it. Hope I lose some pounds. LOL

    • Blessie Nelson

So far, on the reins and staying in balance!

    • martin3

one of my resolutions is to not correct my husband so much. So far, good. I just ignore him the way he ignores me when he’s watching some show called Pinky’s or something like that.

    • lj

No resolutions…just one word to focus on heart change this year. Check it out. myoneword.org

    • Jackie Smith Merrill

I’m doing pretty good this year with my resolution to save more money. I have read a couple books on how to spend only $50 a month per person living in your household on groceries. Although i haven’t acheived this yet, i am learning new ways to save more and am loving the process i am seeing.

    • SarahB

My new years resolution was to cut back eating out. Me and my husband have both made great progress!

    • I didn’t make any resolutions so that I wouldn’t fail at any of them!!! I am an ebates member.

    • I am doing okay getting organized, but not great. Being 8 1/2 months pregnant makes some things a little difficult. LOL

    • Del

I’ve been doing goodly on my resolution to speak and write more better.

    • Guest

I’ve been doing great! My resolution was to continue with the things that I began last year such as eating healthy foods, working out and working on making wise spending choices. It’s not as hard to continue these good habits as it was to start them.

    • Guest

Opps – I forgot to add that I am an Ebates member.

    • Josh

Not so good, or maybe really good, depending on how you look at it. I didn’t make any resolutions this year :)

Ive been doing amazing tobacco free for 6 weeks…i started early ;)

    • Robyn Driver

We are a family of 12 and for the next few months are cutting our budget back big time so we can put extra money each month on getting our house paid off. We are living off of less than 500 a month including groceries, pullups, paper goods, meds, etcc… I’ve couponed for years, but trying to buy less and continue couponing. My stock up pile has already helped to spend less!

    • angelgenius27

    • Jen

Doing well with my New Years resolution, to not eat after 8:00

    • Janessa

I’ve been doing pretty good with my savings resolutions this year. My big struggle is working out. I plan to get on that a little more at the end of the month after I get moving out of the way! :)

    • Beth33

Saving money more and more everyday following your advice and web-site. I have added to my savings fund more in the past week then in a month last year. Thanks for all the information that helps us meet our New Year’s plans of saving like no other this year.

    • Sarah B

So far I haven’t blown the budget – so ok so far!

    • ctrinkle

Doing okay. My resolutions were chosen by my kids – don’t cackle so much and don’t ask so many questions about school/grades. Can you tell I have high schoolers?!?

I have not been doing as great as I’d like… I want to eat healthier, more natural products and only enjoy the convenience and fast foods occasionally-but with work being so darn busy, it’s been hard to focus on that and I am going on whatever is easier. I need to lose a bit of weight as well, and want to do it gradually, along with healthier eating. My layoff is coming in a couple of months, and I hope to have more time to dedicate to my goals.

    • tammyla

My New Years Resolutions are still on hold, we are in the process of moving, and our resolutions are just to exercise more and eat less carbs, we already do that for the most part, but since we are in the process of moving, things have been a little up in the air. So basically, we haven’t started ours yet, lol.

    • brandi

I didn’t really make a resolution, but so far I’ve been doing well with my general goal to eat less and hopefully this will equal pounds lost!

    • Chandel

My New Years resolution is to be healthy this year, to take less OTC meds and try eating healthier (gluten free for me). I took a huge leap and I have started using natural/herbal supplements for my thyroid instead of prescriptions and so far so good! Also instead of using OTC meds for headaches I’m using peppermint oil. (YES peppermint oil and it also has a lot of other uses and it also saves money !)
I’m still in the process of going gluten free but I’m reading labels and being more aware of the ingredients. It’s going to be hard going completly gluten free but I know it will be worth it. :)

    • auntiethesis

Not very well…mine was to get organized and I’ve barely spent 3 hours sorting through my attic. I really need to spend at least an hour each day up there sorting, purging and cleaning. My goal is to have a garage sale this summer and have an organized attic.

    • Theresa S

Have been doing well on my resolution to eat a more balanced (and ultimately, more healthy) diet, watch portion size, and to journal my food consumption (honestly). It’s paying off in weight loss. And I still eat cookies and candy, just not everyday and not a quarter of the package at a time!

so far i’m doing great, I organized our spare bedroom, , our family started working out together(tae bo dvd), and the most important thing i wanted to focus on was getting quiet and reading God’s Word more. this is hard due to all the distractions but I know it is the most important and will not give up growing closer to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.:)
