We've been planting new trees, so I will need help in the best way to take care of them.
My dad owns a commercial landscape company and has the largest “green thumb” I have ever seen. He and my step mother live in Hayden, Al and were not spared from a tornado that came through their neighborhood and destroyed eight homes in the area. Their whole patio and front lawn was almost destroyed! This would be a wonderful gift for him so he can be able to redo his front porch and to be able to purchase some of the beloved lost plants.

We need help with trees and shrubs. We have over an acre of land, but not trees or shrubbery on our property at all. With high medical bills due to our daughters recent hospitalization and her eczema and asthma medications we just cannot afford to take care of our yard right now. Must share this bargain found at our local Lowe's on 6/7/11: We were about to check out with our purchases and I saw a buggy in an out-of-the-way spot with plants in it. I asked the sales clerk if those plants were reduced as well since we had already scoured the reduced carts on display. Well, to our delight, we walked out with a 5-foot rhododendron and a 3-foot purple butterfly bush for $1.00 each! We loved on those plants last night by watering them thoroughly and they both look fabulous and will be placed in the ground this weekend! Thanks for teaching my newlywed daughter, me and others so much about couponing and bargain shopping!

We are organic gardeners and I was excited to see that they do organic lawn care. We need fertilizer in a large area of the backyard where we got new field lines and all my years of building the soil organically was plowed under.

We moved into our new house in Dec. The sod was laid, but some of it has not taken root. We would love to have some fertilizer and new sod laid on the sides and back yard – right now we have no grass – just winter rye. Yuck.

I usually try to cut the grass myself, but it's hard to find the time with 3 kids. I also would love this gift for my own dad b/c he has recently been diagnosed with skin cancer on his face, head, and ear. He grew up on a farm and I don't even think they had sunscreen in his day! We have weeds instead of lawn. Trugreen actually took care of the lawn before we moved in, we just couldn't keep up with the expense. Since they've stopped, our backyard is hardly grass. It's a mix of crabgrass, weeds, and more weeds. We have a few places where the grass simply does not grow anymore. I'd love to be able to walk through my grass in bare feet!

We do not have grass. We do not have weeds. (Sounds like a Dr Seuss poem starting … ) We have dirt that is like concrete-hard and U G L Y. Otherwise our yard would be beautiful. We even have lovely natural boulders and dogwoods. However, the orange-ish dirt is terrible. We had to dig and scrape it up because and gutter and grading issues. There is no telling when we will ever have grass now.

This would be such a blessing for the whole family and a great idea. We bought our first home and have discovered that most of what we have for a lawn is sticker's or burr weeds. I really hate that for the kids too, due to it being a corner lot it actually has a nice sized yard and they can't roll around and play outside like we had hoped. We have talked about tilling it all up and starting from scratch but what we need is someone that knows what they are doing. That sadly, we have found, is not us. :)

We desperately need lawn care!! We moved into our house a little over a year ago and we cannot get our grass to grow in the sandy back yard!! My poor hubby has tried so hard but it just looks terrible!!
Our grass is so dry from having no rain. We have brown patches and crunchy grass. We need professional help.

I couldn't tell you any ONE thing our yard needs, because it needs everything. TruGreen stops by our house ALL the time because they “happen to be in
the neighborhood doing someone else's lawn”. I hate to see them coming,
because I'm mortified at how our yard looks compared to all the lawns
around us. They apparently think our yard is in desperate need of TLC,
but we just can't afford it. Green grass would be nice, instead of patches of dried up “wannabe” grass that ultimately looks like something that would be seen on the Addams Family. It's sad, really, because my husband is GREAT with indoor plants and has planted numerous trees/shrubs outside. When it comes to grass, he just doesn't have the magic touch, bless his heart. I'm assuming it's because he's originally from Upstate New York and isn't used to the red clay. :-)

What a great opportunity. I have 6 children and 7 daycare children that I care for in my home. The yard here is well played on and in need of expert care! Weeds and seeding are in order at our home. The kids get a pick-up game of baseball almost daily, as a result, our yard on the side never takes root when we seed and seed and seed and seed. I am sure that TrueGreen can help us overcome this issue.

Weed control. Our water bill is going to be outrageous from “greening it up” but there are still weeds and it drives my husband crazy. I don't notice…like he doesn't notice cobwebs.

We have about 2 acres and we need so much done right now. Our yard was turned upside down during the April 27 tornadoes in AL. In our small yard, we had 25-100ft trees turned up by the roots… So the half that we have actually “cleaned up” is turned to dirt. My children are barely allowed to play outside and only if we are around to supervise. My husband always keeps our yard in tip top shape so this is really trying him. It would be really nice to have the extra help to get it back in condition to enjoy.
With a yard that's never had much of a chance for growing grass…I definitely need the fertilization part of the Customize Lawn Care the most!

I would like some grass! My lawn consist of a large variety of weeds!
We need drought and heat resistant grass, plus weed control. Our summers are so harsh, the grass just doesn't survive hardly ant time of year. Or maybe we just need rocks and cacti instead. Maybe that's the best thing for these miserable Alabama summers.

I really need someone to come and water my lawn because it hasn't rained in weeks but that's not one of the options! I really need some insect and weed protection. The ant killer that is available says that it lasts 3 months and it's more like 3 weeks. Same with the weed killer, it doesn't really kill them all! We do what we can with what we have!

Aeration and Seeding- I live in a 1920s Craftsman Bungalow. I've put a lot of work into creating and maintaing flower beds, but I haven't invested the time into the lawn. I think aeration and seeding would be a fantastic jump start for my lawn and would help the overall curb appeal between the landscaping and lawn be much more unified.
Our backyard has been seriously neglected. I would love to get it back in shape!

I think the better question would be, “What DOESN'T our yard need?”! :) If it wasn't for all the weeds, our lawn would be a patch of dirt. We have lots of shade trees, so it doesn't get a lot of sunlight, and I'm certain we've seen the moles smirking at us. To top it all off, DH's new (used) riding mower is already in need of repairs. Help!

We live in the deep south and watering the lawn sometimes seems like a hopeless case because of the heat. By the time you get one area watered another is dying. I think a sprinkler system with timers would help tremendously.

Our ground is very hard and we seem to have the worst soil! It's difficulty to get plants growing well. Wow, our yard is sooo in need! Our property was originally part of a large farm. Prior owners cut an acre off the large tract and built our home. Large trees were everywhere which will not allow a pretty stand of grass to grow. Last year a storm came through, hit our largest tree, with us have to take it down. My husband brought in several tons of top soil, hoping to be able to have a pretty stand of grass. Needless to say it still looks shabby and we need a rescue soon! I'm a facebook following too!

My dad would love to do landscaping in both his front and back yard. Desperately need help growing grass and getting rid of LOTS of weeds.
My yard is the pits. It has sandy soil and a big ole oak tree that shades a lot of the back yard preventing the grass from growing. I think I could use the pH/soil testing most. I've been wanting to do something about that splotchy grass.
Maybe we can win the 500.00 gift card to pay for the new sod we had to lay after allowing Trugreen to treat and kill our yard. Our neigbor could probably use one too as they also destroyed his yard.

Anything and everything! We live on a hill and our yard is tiered with a combination of ivy, grass, weeds and rocks. It's a nightmare!

We have been battling dollarweed for over a year at my house. We used some time of weed killer on our yard, and accidentally killed my next door neighbor's Bottlebrush Tree. She has been giving me the “stank eye” ever since. My poor husband is currently outside carrying on the battle. We would appreciate the help of professionals to combat this nemisis.

My oh my! We need help treating the weeds that keep growing in the front and back yard, and on the sides of our house. We think we've treated the weeds, but the weeds keep finding places to grow in our yard. Our land is kind of sloped, so the water from the front of the house runs down one side of the house to the back of our yard…leaving mushy mud puddles. It would be so nice to fix this and have a nice green weed free yard.
This would be an awesome way to help fix up our lawn.

We could really use the weed and feed system. We had fungus this spring so several areas of grass have been replaced. I would love to treat the areas around the new grass most especially to prevent any damage to the new sod and bring the old sod to full health!

I think we need weed control. We don't have a lot of tall weeds, but our back yard is covered with patches of stickers. It blends in with the grass so well that you cant really see it until they are already stuck in your foot. My kids are constantly getting stickers in their feet. I bet a weed spray would work well.
