first-for-women

I think Magazine Editors are taking a page from All You and starting to add more coupons to their publications.  More coupons definitely makes me more interested.  In case they were wondering, more coupons makes everyone more interested.  A couponing guy emailed to confess that he bought women’s magazines just because there were coupons in them!  You couponing guys rock!!

Update: You guys asked for a deal to get this magazine:  The best I found was $15.77 on Magazines.com. To get this:

  1. Go to ebates and login/register
  2. Find Magazines.com
  3. Search for “First Women”
  4. You will pay $19.97 and get back $4.20 in cash back!

That makes it $15.77 for 17 issues or around 92¢ ea!

(If you are new to ebates you will also get $5 cash back on top of that!!)

Other magazines with regular coupons in them:
Good Housekeeping, Ladies Home Journal,  All You, Better Homes & Gardens

Jenny, I got really excited at first thinking this was a post for a free magazine!
But this was not as surprising as the increase on the AJC daily double which was up $1 per bundle yesterday and now they also are charging tax as a new and added bonus. That just gives me the incentive to save better than I am right now to make up for the increase. <grin>

Any deals on subscriptions for First or LHJ?

    • Cheryl

Where can I find First Magazine? Is it at Wal-Mart like All you?

      • bradleyr

bought this copy at walmart, but saw it at walgreens and dollar general.

    • Nichole M

Is this particular magazine at wal mart or CVS or walgreens?? Never seen it before!

      • bradleyr

I found this copy at Walmart but was in walgreens this weekend and saw it there too. I also saw it at dollar general too.

Are the coupons in the store-bought copies the same as those in the subscription version? I'd hate to subscribe and then find that some coupons are missing. That drives me crazy with All You.

      • Monica B.

Oh, no! You're kidding me? I just subscribed to All You yesterday — how different are the coupons from the store-bought copies?

        • Sue

The “store bought” All You sometimes has an insert in the middle with Conagra coupons. I have a subscription but usually check the copy in the store to see if it has the extras. If it does, I usually buy it.

Okay, maybe I'm not very knowledgeable on the topic, so please correct me if you can… But, isn't it the Mfg's of the products, not the publisher of the magazine, that decides where they put the mfg coupons? So, it would be at the discretion of the Mfg how many coupons go in each month's publications, right? Wrong?

    • foxfunds

Bravo to the guys that are doing whatever it takes to save money! Nothing wrong with that – manufacturers still think that women do all the shopping, but what they don't realize is that, at least in my family, the whole family is involved in the saving of the family dollars. If that means that the men are purchasing women's magazines for coupons, and teenagers are bringing home coupons that their friend's mom was going to throw away – then I say woo hoo!!
Thanks for the heads up – I see some register rewards picking up a First Magazine tomorrow.
