Where do I start? The builder of my home thirteen years ago failed me big time! I have had problems just about in every part of my house since then! My latest huge issue came about with sewage backup, and after doing all the digging myself to get to the source of the problem to save hundreds if not thousands of dollars to do the repairs myself, it was discovered that the original contractor that installed the 4″ sewage line coming out from under the house had “jimmy-rigged” it to cover up a big crack in the 4″ line and they shoved a 3″ line inside that to cover up the crack. This cracked 4″ line runs under the house surrounded by the concrete foundation, so there was no way to fix it unless I paid someone thousands of dollars to use a specialized machine to break away the foundation under the house to get full access to the line. So, I was left no choice but to do the repairs using a flexible “Fernco” piece to connect from the cracked 4″ line to the new replacement parts that were breached by roots. I really could use the winnings to do some much needed updates around my house. I do the best I can on my budget to care for my home as it is. #FixMyHouseSweeps

We just bought our first home. It was built in 1984 and has not been updated since. We have the ugliest wallpapers and light fixtures…and don’t get me started on our bathrooms…our fridge and dishwasher are also the original 1984 appliances…besides the interior updating we also need a new roof (yup it’s the original 1984 roof), a French drain, landscaping (our entire front yard is ivy) and some trees taken down. We desperately could use any of the prizes. #FixMyHouseSweeps

Aw man, this would be tremendous! I have missing siding and rotten wood on the back of the house, I have multiple rotting and broken windows, need a door on the crawl space (there are things moving in there!) and multiple other things that need to be addressed. Please help! #FixMyHouseSweeps

Our house was built in 1989 and the front porch is about to fall in due to holes at the bottom of the posts from rot. It would be great to have a new porch for function as well as curb appeal. We have three kids in college and one in 3rd grade. not much money to spare.

What a blessing this would be. I live in an old farm house that my dad was born in. And he would have been 93 it started out as a cabin and been added on threw the years. Most of it still has the old plaster with horse hair. The home means the world to me since its been in our family for almost 100 years. My Dad was raised there. He raised us kids there and I raised mine there. It needs a lot of work but we don’t have the money since I had to stop working I am now on disability and my husband just makes enough to put food on table and keep bills paid.

Could really use the repairs, roof is leaking on enclosed back porch, kitchen sink drain is literally held up by a block of wood, and the previous owners didn’t put a ventilation pipe in for hot water heater.
