Top Roses and Flower Deals for 2014 Valentines Day

You’ve got a few more days to get a present or get flowers for Mother’s Day.  There are a few deals out, so I thought I’d make it easy and put them all in one place.  Keep in mind that online options needed to be ordered asap so they arrive in time!

Online Deals

bouqs

The Bouqs

Get $30 to spend at The Bouqs for only $15 right now on LivingSocial.  Arrangements start at $40 on their site and always have free shipping.  So you’ll have flowers shipped for $25 after the voucher.

On a personal note: I’ve ordered from them at least 5 times and have been very pleased with the flowers every time.  Most arrangements do not come with a vase, so you’ll need to unbox them and then arrange them in a vase.

ftd flowers

FTD

Get $40 to spend at FTD Flowers for $20 with a Groupon voucher.

Arrangements start at $40, plus add in around $23 for delivery.  After the voucher you can have an arrangement delivered for $43 total.

These are coming from a local florist, most in a vase and arranged.  This can be the best option for an older parent that lives in another city.  They don’t need to do anything but enjoy the flowers.

Local Deals

hydrangeas

To get most for your dollar I encourage you to head to the local plant or hardware store and grab actual plants.  Flowers that Mom can enjoy beyond the next week.  When you think about the price for a delivered arrangement above you can probably get 2-3 plants for the same price!

Whole Foods Roses

If you want to go with cut flowers, then head to the local grocery store.  Bi-Lo and Winn Dixie stores have a dozen red roses for $9.50 this week, plus expect big discounts on flowers at Whole Foods this weekend too.  Another option if you have it is Trader Joes, their prices start at $3.99 for great choices.  Odds are mom has 14 vases in a cabinet somewhere so skip the vase and arrange them for her when you get home.
