It's really driving me crazy that FL doesn't list all their prices in the paper. That's the main reason why I've not tried couponing there. I know I'll get in there and see their price and know I can get it cheaper somewhere else which means a wasted trip.

    • Mary Sharp

Food Lion will not accept internet *free* coupons so the Lipton tea deal wouldn't work.  They'll take BOGO but not free with no purchase ones.

    • Cjmilburn06

Does anyone know if you add ecoupons to your card from food lion website do those values come off on top of your paper coupons or instead of. Also if I use Saving Star or Upromise Coupons do those come off on top of or instead of? Can I use a Upromise AND a Saving Star on the same item? Thanks!

      • KuliCol

the ecoupons come off on top of your paper coupons-You get to use both! The Saving Star program works a little different. The money isn't taken off at the register. IT's put into an account and then once that account reaches $5 you have 4 choices as to how to have it paid out.

    • Amanda

I am having the hardest time with the Food Lion Website.  I cannot get it to load coupons to my card.  I have done everything it has asked me to do.  Why must it be so difficult?

      • Mary

I dont have a Food Lion, but I do have a Harvey's card and I had problems loading mine too.  When I called their office, the lady told me to leave off the last number, “we had the same problem with the  Food lion cards” Down here the two companies merged, ours became Harveys. This might be your problem. Hope it helps.

      • YES! I had the hardest time too. I contacted customer service complete with a screen shot of the error message. I got some bogus canned response. The trick is you have to go through the part that says Red Plum and not the part where you add your MVP card to the website. DON'T update your profile. That's how you get nowhere. After you login, close that little window with the green border.

Next, go to savings and promotions in the upper right menu option. Scroll to Coupons. From there you should be able to create your account, add your MVP card, and add ecoupons to your card. I hope that helps!

        • Sjmc7

Don't always rely on your e-coupons, some work and some don't. I even double check to make sure they're loaded. I contacted  customer service, but got no where with it.

    • Moore0902

      Does Food Lion double coupons??

      • Angelascoupons1

        No

      • Tam John81

Food Lion does not double coupons, but Bloom does double and they are having the Big Deal sale too.  I just got the ad in the mail.

        • Moore0902

Thanks for the info on Blooms!

      • Krikey509

My Food Lion in Lawrenceville Ga. doubles coupons up to 60 cents.

    • Sue

I must be missing something be cause I cant find any of the food coupons.. help!

      • sue

scratch that i found them.. wow!!haha

        • crystal

I can't find any food e-coupons either……they are all for cleaning supplies, bathroom supplies, etc. Where did you find the food ones?

    • I wish Food Lion would have better deals, I never see any acorns for them! I have been watching for about 3 months now, do they ever have any good deals?

      • Mommy2Boys

I find that Harris Teeter and Kroger usually can beat their prices since they both double coupons.  I never shop FL for that reason.

        • Itsmecrystald

Same here! Although I did find a couple good deals there today… Marcal tp, 4pk $1.49 -$1/1 coupon = .49/pack. Hershey's dark bar BOGO -BOGO coupon = $1 for 12.

      • Jenn

keep watching food lion's meal deals. SOmetimes they have really good ones. I got pkg of kraft cheese slices, lb of oscar meyeer lunch meat, gogurts, and pilsbury bake cookies all for $2.00  with the meal deal they were offering and the coupons you could use. Other than that it is onloy a few things here and there?

      • Joyzragz

I had the same problem but took my time and walked the store and got pasta for free on an unadvertised sale and coupons. You can find some closeouts that work good with coupons too from time to time. And my FL did take a free Lipton Tea Naturals coupon.

    • Susie19

So the food lion ecoupons are store coupons and can be used with a manf. one also???

      • Lisa M

Unfortunately no, according to their coupon policy they only accept one coupon per item, so no stacking!

        • Jessdare101

About 2 months ago I was able to use a e coupon with a paper coupon.

        • Unless it’s changed since I worked there, it was one manufacturer and one store, although it’s been a while. It would have had to change sometime since last November.

    • Jennkinlaw

Can anyone help me? I always see coupons listed in the kraft food and family booklet? I get the magazine what is the booklet and where do u get it??

      • Kassicoupon

it was a booklet that was in grocery stores (I got mine at bilo) at the beginning of the year

    • Ericandsuea

are the final prices doubling the coupons?  my foodlion says they dont double, bummer!

    • Cathy C.

Different areas have DIFFERENT ADS. My area does not include the Brawny/Sparkle or Charmin/Bounty in with the Big Deals. It lists them in a separate area and the Charmin and Bounty are 4.49 instead of 4.99.  The Brawny & Sparkle are still $1 but don't show up with the big deals.

    • Sorry, ladies – I'm the newbie!  I made my list from SouthernSavers, went to FL website and created my account with my card, but nothing on the list that says “eCoupon” is in their list to add to my card. What am I missing?

    • lisa

i live in easlry sc our publix now accecpts food lion coupons we do not have a food lion so my question is how do you get food lion coupons

    • Kdann6408

When I go to add my ecoupons, the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter & the cereal ecoupons are not there.  Did anyone else find them?

      • Audley79

i am having the same issue!

      • Katie

It depends on your zip code. 27539 works.

        • Audley79

          still no luck for me

    • Kellyhouse

Thanks, Jenny!!  Here are my 'acorns' for this week and, thanks to Jenny's way-cool printable list feature, I've already printed these out for my FL trip.
      Del Monte Tomatoes 49 cents
      Sobe 50 cents
      Lipton Tea bags $1.09
      Gain Laundry soap $2.49
      Bounty Basic 6-roll $3.49
      FL Cheese BOGO
      Wish Bone salad dressing $1
      Red Grapes 99 cents

      • Mello4413

just an FYI the brawny/sparkle paper towels seem to be a better deal – they are $.50/each which works out cheaper than the bounty which comes up to $.58/each. unless you are specifically partial to bounty. :)

    • Mel

Glad I didn't use my $.70 Cheez It coupons at Kroger this week yet… I'll save them for Food Lion instead!

    • kay

So can this happen?  3/$5 Green Giant Valley Steamers which means they would
be $1.66.  Buy 10 makes it $16.60  then minus  $5 for ten products makes it $11.60 and then use ten 50/1 coupons printable makes it $6.60 for 10 Green Giant Valley Steamers. Is this correct

      • Tam John81

If you have a Bloom nearby, who doubles your .50/1 q, you will pay $1.60 for all 10.

      • Jammie21

publix also doubles coupons, the steamers are B1G1 at publix this week!

    • Brelsfordcory

do food lion dubles there coupon?

      /

      • Katie

Some do but most do not it really depends on your store. I know that the ones in NC do not double.

        • ChristiR

They do not double in TN, either.

      • Ljcool78

        no they do not

        • Michelleandwill

In the Atlanta area they do – up to $.60.

      • Sarah

        They double in Georgia

        • Only in certain places in Georgia. It’s in a test market near Atlanta for now. Hasn’t filtered down to the other stores.

      • Coupon crazy

They don't double in Newberry , SC.

      • Most don't; corporate recently (as in about a year ago) started the program in limited stores, but it's not in all of them yet. Don't count on it in your store yet.

    • Chrissiemcneil

So you can stack the E-coupons with paper coupons?

      • lydia

        yes you can.

        • Coupon crazy

They don't double in Newberry SC.

        • Lisa M

According to the coupon policy posted at the top of this page, no they do not stack.  My store in NC enforces this policy.  I'm guessing others do not enforce the corporate policy.

    • alicia

i'm so confused by these deals.  1.) the cheez it deal: how does .70c off of $2 make it .80c?  wouldn't it be $1.30?  2.) Kellogg's bars and treats for $2.50…how does using 2/2 make it a dollar each?  the total would be $5 for two of them, which would be $1.50 each after $2 coupon. i've noticed such things before, so i'm wondering if their is a key point that i've missed.

      • Jeenywoot234

If you read the intro at the beginning of the list, it says “makes it…” includes $0.50 off per item from The Big Deal Promotion.

        • alicia

okay.  i read that in the intro and took it the wrong way.

      • Kmleopold

Well, she does this all by hand, so usually if it doesn't add up, I assume it's a typo.

      • Mary

The “makes it” price includes the 50 cent Big Deal discount. EX: Cheez It $2 minus 70c coupon minus 50c deal discount = 80c.

      • Tam John81

Jenny is subtracting the $0.50 from the amount.  If you buy using the big deal promotion, $0.50 will be subtracted from each product. So if you buy for example 10 cheez-it you will only pay $0.80 per box after coupons and $5 instant savings.

    • Susan

For the E-Coupons, I do not see any G.M.'s items, mostly P&G and some vitimans.  Is there a zip code I should use? or am I in the wrong place altogether?  Thanks, for any help.

    • Lindsay

Where do you get/sign up for the Kimberly Clark home mailer?

    • Proudeodwife13

Can you use both ecoupons with MFG coupons at foodlion??

      • Proudeodwife13

someone please answer me i dont want to look like an idiot!

        • Paige

At my FL they let me, but like Heather Ashley said, it depends on your FL. I have seen a lot of comments that some can, and some cannot.

      • Heather Ashley

I have read posts that say they have had a lot of trouble usinging store and man. Qs together.  Some stores do take both and then others say there is a new policy out saying you can't use both.  I woud call right before going to the store and ask the manager on duty.

        Hope that helps

        • Proudeodwife13

          thank you! :)

      • Corporate policy says yes… whether or not the cashier in question knows this is another matter. Generally, you'll find that if the register takes it, you can do it. If it doesn't, you may need to get an override from someone to make it work.

    • Davis664420

Since there are no acorns, I am assuming these are not the best deals?  I guess I'm confused.  Are they still a good deal even with no acorn?  Do the acorns just mean it's an awesome deal and I should stock up?

      • Paige

Acorns are stock-up prices. Great prices.

      • Amy B.

Acorn deals are the almost free, absolutely don't miss if you have the right coupons deals.  Everything else Jenny lists is at least 40% off so these are they are still rock bottom prices, especially if it's an item you need.

    • Itsmecrystald

Does anyone have any idea if using the Lipton Tea freebie coupon would still work with the deal? So buy 10 Lipton teas, use 10 free coupons, pay tax, get $5 back??

      • Kristen

First off how are you planning on getting 10?? lol.. I have a hard enough time getting two of anything with these coupon printers. But to answer your question, I don't think it will work that way. You would probably need to buy additional items so that you don't end up in the negative. I don't think they will pay you $5 since it's a save instantly sort of deal and not a coupon. Also some stores won't accept free item printables :( so you might want to check on that policy at your store.

        • Itsmecrystald

I can print from several computers and belong to a coupon trading board where I'm getting quite a few as well :)

I went to my local FL this morning and had success using the free coupons!! The computer didn't take off the $5 automatically for some reason (before coupons) so the whole transaction was a little weird anyway. I had 9 coupons so I paid $1.80 OOP, they gave me $5 cash afterward since the register didn't automatically take it off, and I rolled the $5 cash into the brawny paper towels. My hubby will probably ask why I didn't just take the $5 and go! LOL! So $1.80 for 10 Teas and 10 paper towels, not too shabby :)

          • Kristen

Nice! Half the time I try and get my two coupons and end up with one.. or none :(  I'm glad it worked out! I think the people at my Food Lion would just freak out haha.. You must have a really good one!!

            • Itsmecrystald

They are pretty laid back! It's a really small town. The store staff can really make or break a good couponing experience that's for sure :)

      • I think you would be hard pressed to use that Q b/c FL says they don't take “FREE INTERNET” coupons that don't require a purchase.   If they let you use it- it should work as long as you have other stuff to absorb the $5 b/c I don't think they give overage.  The save $5 will come off at the end, but before you hand over any coupons.

    • Beth

o.k. so I am really confused.  The prices that are listed is this including the $5/$10/$15 off price or do you get an extra amount off of your full grocery bill?

      Thanks

      • Kristen

If I understand it correctly, the prices listed under that deal include the $5/$10/$15 off because you basically get .50 off each item with that promo. Say you buy 10 of a $1 item included the promotion; you'll get those 10 items for $5 instead of $10… saving .50 cents on each item regardless of the original price. So she just went ahead and included that in the prices listed in that deal. I hope that helps? lol.. As far as how it comes off at the register, I'm not entirely sure. I would assume it comes off at the end. :)

        • Kcreviews

I did the Big Deal last time it came around and it does automatically come off your bill. You should see it near the bottom of your receipt.

          • Kristen

            Very cool. Thanks :)

    • crystal

I can't find any of the e-coupons for food items. All of the ones that i see are for non-food items (cleaning supplies, health and beauty, etc). Where are the food e-coupons??

      • Veronica

I can't seem to find them either, never do see any food ecoupons via foodlion in my zip 28572.  Anyone know what zip to find the food ones under and if they will work if your mvp card if you aren't actually in that zip?

    • My math, in my head, tells me that it's cheaper to buy the sparkle or brawny singles w/o a Q than the bounty 6-pack with a Q.  Other than the paper towels, the only thing I see worth stocking up on is the 2L Pepsi's at $0.75/each.  I'm not sure I want to drive an hour to get Pepsi, especially since CVS is having $0.99 cartons today. Now, if it was a Coke, that would be a different story. :o)

      • Mrs O'Dell

My CVS had Coke 2l for .79 today, limit 5… :D  From a Georgia Peach living in NC

    • Lori

What do you guys consider a stock up price on tomatoes?  We ran out last winter, $0.49 is the best price I've seen on a brand name in a while, and I was surprised there was no acorn next to it…

      • $.49 is usually the max I will pay, b/c I can always go to Aldi and pay $.59 or so a can.  $.49 isn't too bad IF you need it.  Think seasonally– fresh is going to be cheaper right now, while come fall & winter you can get cheaper deals on can fruits & veggies.   The tomatoes were about the only thing on the list I saw worth getting, even without coupons.  I might not stock up necessarily unless you are almost out.   Canned tomatoes won't hot rock bottom until winter.

      • Jam5az

I feel like this is a great deal on canned tomatoes.  I didn't have very many and use a fair amount in chili and other things.  I did this deal!

    • April1298

Just left Food Lion in Graham NC.

Bought 20 Pepsi 2 liters under the Big Deal Promotion
The 2 liter bottles had a $1/2 coupon on them.
      20×1.25 = $25
      -10 Coupons
      -10 Big Value Promotion
      Total Including Tax = $6.16 or $.31ea!!

      • Vanessa

Just scroll down on that same page…. I was having the same problem and then figured out all the coupons are further down on that same page. hope that helps!

      • Kmcfalls1972

where did you get  pepsi 2L qs

        • T-rex

I go in my 24 hour food lion all the time between midnight and 5am, I always stroll down the pepsi aisle and there are either hanging coupons on Dr. Pepper 2 liters or stickers applied to the sides of 2 liters of pepsi. They are always gone very fast when the early morning crowd starts coming in around 7-8am, when I see them I buy all i can especially when onsale and save the coupons for big sales like this. I got 40 2 liters of pepsi max, for $12.32 and got 20 Diet Dr. Pepper for $6.16 before I ran out of my coupons.

    • Laura

for some odd reason I cannot load my coupons to my MVP Card when i click on the desired coupons it is telling me to log in which I am already logged in :-( did not have this problem doing my Kroger Plus card…..

      • Cynthia

I've had the same problem each time I've tried it, several months apart. :(

      • ag

I had this same problem to.  I logged in and deleted the card it had saved, and then put my information for my card in again.  Now it works!

      • april

I was having this same problem…but you have to create another account with redplum to get the coupons to load onto the card. =D

    • Ccrenshaw76

The Food Lion e-coupons are still not coming up for me.

    • Mommyakc

Just in case you're planning on using the .70/1 Colby Cheez-It coupon, a word of caution. My Food Lion in central KY did not have the Colby included in the big deal. The coupon lists a 13oz size and the sale was only for 8-10oz. So sad, no Cheez-Its for me today. :( A couple things that did work out good. The Milos Dog treats ended up being $1 with the $1.50 off coupon and the Big Deal since my little Pom is picky this was a good deal for me.

      • AM

Thank you for mentioning that info about Cheez-Its. I was planning on getting those. You saved me some trouble (and some ink!).

      • BdaJda06

I used that coupon to buy the Swiss Cheeze Its and it worked so maybe you can used it on any Cheeze Its!!!

    • Dtcox

just saw the add today in v a the pork ribs are 1.97 lb use coupon 2.00 off when you buy the kc sauce , good deal if its not a miss print cause the ribs are on sale at food city this week for 3.99 lb and kroger for 4.99 a lb

    • Tonylhat

ok help what is the acorn a reference to and where do you find it at

      • Wnwgsl

acorn means its a great price, cheapest, so stock up like squirrels do acorns for the winter :)

    • Thecouponpops

Hello Everyone!  What's the “Publix Coupon Sheet” referred to with the Sunshine Cheez Its?  Is it new and in the stores now?  Also seen the “125 Years of Summer Fun booklet” on several post and not sure where to get that.  Thanks Jenny and SS family for the awesome site!!! :)

    • Shawna

I have a question regarding the Food Lion policy. If I use my card at one store and use 10 of the same coupons, can I go to another store that same day and use 10 more of the same coupons?  In other words, does their card track your coupon usage (number, type, etc.).  I know Harris Teeter tracks how many coupons will double each day.  Thanks in advance!

      • Dsci2003

i split my orders up when i have more than 10 of the same coupon.  It doesn't track.  You can do it in the same store at same register. just split orders up.

        • Shawna

          Thanks!!

    • Littlegirl4co

My ad has Huggies Little Swimmers on Sale for $7.49 and with a $1.50 off KC coupon= $5.99!

    • Littlegirl4co

Also the 48oz Pine Sol that is on sale for $2.50 and with the $1.00 off online makes it $1.50!, OR 2 for $3.00

    • wannabcouponqueen

My Food Lion circular (central NC) says Minute Maid Ades & Punches .88 with MVP.

    • Squirrellee01

So happy with the Brawny paper towel deal. Although I probably looked a little crazy pushing a cart full of paper towels.  (I felt guilty being a “self clearer” so I left two, but at 50 cents a roll, who could blame me!)

      • artlady

Wow.  It would have been nice to leave more for others (leaving 2 just really doesn't count).

    • FYI, The Sparkle paper towels are a better deal because you get a lot more paper towels per roll than the Brawny.
Also, does anyone know if you have to buy all the items in one trip? I had my 6 year old with me last night and I wasn't paying attention and bought 2 extra items. Can I apply them to another 10 items today?

      • Squirrellee01

I'll check into that. I didn't see Sparkle single rolls but I'll look again. Thanks!

      • Generally, no, I don't think so. I believe it'll have to be in one order. (That's how it worked when I was working at food lion, but it's been about 8 months, so that policy may have changed.)

    • Freeverse

With the coupon and mail in rebate, the Bayer will be free…actually you might make $.50. And at my store KC BBQ sauce was on the big deal so with the $1 off coupon it was free.

    • Mel

I wonder if Walmart would price match the Big Deal items?  Suppose I bought 10 participating items that were advertised… they should honor the prices after the $.50 off per item right?  (Although good luck to me trying to explain this to the cashier.)

      • Nikki

Wal-Mart will not price Match Big Deal items unless a specific price is given on the ad..such as buy 10 Lays Chip of $10 (not a actual deal) they will not (or shouldn't per their policy) Price Match an Item that does not have a specific price printed on the ad. So get $5 off when you by 10 bags of chips does not list a specific price per bag…………that being said stranger things have happened at Wal-Mart :o) they are not very consistent and most cashier are clueless about both coupons and price matching.

        • Mel

I agree with things not being consistent at Walmart, but the prices are spelled out in the ad.  For example, Cheez-Its are 2/$4, so $2 apiece.  Then it says that if you buy 10, you save $5 or $.50 apiece.  So $2 – $.50 would make them $1.50.  But like I said, good luck explaining that to a cashier.  The ones I've had experience with are not usually stellar math students.

    • newbie1

do you have to buy 10 of the same item or just 10 of the paticipating items, thanks

      • Raynesmw

        any combo of participating items

      • newbie1

        thanks……..

    • Raynesmw

In NC, right in front of the Pop Tarts is a $1/2 Q. They are part of the deal, so 1.00 a box when you buy those as part of the promotion. I got 4 paper towels+4 Pop Tarts+ 2 Pepsis=7.50 + tax

      • Jenny in VA

Same in VA, only this also qualified for the Children's Miracle Network deal that takes another $3 off your bill.  I got 10 boxes of poptarts for $7!  Might have to go back tomorrow before the sale ends and get more!

    • Dezarah

Our food lion doubles coupons up to $0.60!!

    • Kevinpiner

I got 30 Mt. Dew products–1.25 ea = 37.50 -15.00 (deal) – 10.00 (1/3 peelies on bottles) = 12.50 for 30 2 ltrs.  I also got 10 boxes of Pop Tarts– they were 2/4.00.  My store had a blinkie 1.00/2.  10.00-5 blinkies-5.00deal!  When I looked at my rec., they had also given me 3.00 off for buying Kelloggs products!!!!!  I made 3.00 on 10 Pop Tarts!!!  I am liking Food Lion THIS week!

    • Tuckfam01

i'm dumb. how did you not pay for ANY of them?

        • artlady

The store has them B1G1 Free, which means that the store is giving her 4 for free if she buys 8.  Then, she also has 4 B1G1 Free manufacturer coupons, so the manufacturer also ends up giving her 4 free.  Evidently food lion allows B1G1 coupons in conjunction with items on B1G1 sales, so it makes for a great deal!

This week Food Lion is having a Big Deal Promotion! For those of

over 125 Participating items, I’m sure you can find a good deal
on something you need this week!

      How the promotion works:

Buy 10 Participating Items, get $ 5 off instantly!
Buy 20 Participating Items, get $10 off instantly!
Buy 30 Participating Items, get $15 off instantly!

Note: The ad states you can get up to $15 off your transaction!
Keep in mind this is not a full list of participating Items. This is a few good
deals. Their ad does not list every item, but they will be clearly marked with
      “The Big Deal” tags.

Got 3 V8 Fusions for $.88 with tax!  Used two $1.50 off coupons plus a B2G1 on V8 Fusion (tea).  The V8s were on sale for $2.50 each but the cashier gave me the credit for the free one as $3.89 – regular price.  The cheapest I've found for this stuff that my kids love.
