    • Beth Anne Saves

2 questions and I just don't know where to ask them. A) where can I get info on how the recyclebank stuff works and B) How do you get the kroger coupon mailer? I don't have kroger near me anymore but was wondering if you can get that anyway?

      • Donna

Beth – A – try to serach in Jenny's search bar and type recyclebank, then it'll give you the posts she had posted from previous ones regarding Recyclebank.  Just be sure to look at the dates to be at the current ones.  You can definitely score some sweet coupons when you sign up for that!  And B – there's a possibility that you have to be in an area or vacinity of a Kroger in order for them to send mailers through via snail mail :(.  HTH!

        • i have a ques. i printed the muellers and it let me print 4 but they all have the same code..is that fraud i dont wanna use them if its wrong.. plz let me kno thanks

      • Lisabluedevil

The recyclebank website is pretty clear.  Just go to the site and look at the links for earning points.  Kroger's marketing is fairly sophisticated and very targeted.  If you have a Kroger card and an online login you are eligible for mailings, but they look at what and how much you are purchasing to determine what coupons they send you so I suspect your opportunity will be limited.

        • Womanintheword

I shop at Kroger all the time and have a card and online login and still have never recieved any coupon mailings from them.

    • food lion doesn't take the printable coupons here in Sumter ,S.C.

      • Ibdqt34

Isn't that interesting. Considering they have their own little kiosk with printed coupons for you… :-/

        • I work for the Food Lion in Lexington, SC; the reason some stores started banning printed coupons is because of coupon fraud. Our store still takes printed coupons, but we have a large list we have to read through every 2 months on fraudulent coupons.

        • They’ll take their own printable store coupons and kiosk ones.

    • karen

Wow – Food Lion has a meal deal???  Way to go Harris Teeter – maybe your competiton will soon double coupons and maybe they (FL) too will soon take competitors store coupons!!!  I had to grab a few items at Food Lion on Sunday and asked if they would take my Lowe's Food Coupon ($10 off $50) and was told no!  Wish I had driven a bit further!!!

      • Shannonw1983

my manager at my fl in nc said they asked corporate one time and said they would never double coupons here. i wish they would take a store and manu. coupon together also. it would make up a little for not doubling

        • Ibdqt34

That's sad. Which part of NC? I'm in the Triangle area. I honestly don't get it. In my area, we have HT, FL, Kroger, Walmart and Target in about a 7mi area…not to mention the occasional Lowes Foods. With all that competition, IDK why they don't double coupons.

          • Shannonw1983

im in nashville right outside rocky mount. we have a ht, fl, and lowes and i usually shop at ht or lowes, i only go to fl if there is really good deals

          • Agreed! I’m in Durham and it makes no sense. I guess they truly aren’t feeling the pressure.

        • ma23kids

I have asked several times in Fay and of course I get the same answer.  I have also asked if they would take a $ off q from Harris Teeter and that was also a no.  Food Lion is gonna have to step it up seeing how HT now takes a q for each and every item!

      • bevrev

food lion has been doing meal deals for a few months… i love them!! well, in atlanta they do

      • Ha! I thought they were ripping off BiLo. I didn't know Harris Teeter did meal deals. Shows how often I shop there! Basically super double coupon and triple coupon days and that's about it!

    • Sarah Jacobs00

My ad is a bit different in prices than posted here. Just FYI for those in Eastern NC, our ad has cantaloupes for .99 and the price for the general mills cereals listed as $1.89 and a few other differences so just check it out before you go…

      • Ibdqt34

Thanks! I hate getting to the store with my plan and then having to rearrange it a little. It kind of throws me off…but then again – I'm just starting out so a lot can throw me off. :-)

      • SydneyC

I'm in the same area as Jenny and I notice differences too. I have no idea what's going on with FL ads.

      • Lana

Upstate SC has big diffences every week.  Their website used to be great but they changed it and it is now a pain in the neck.  If you hate the new way that the ad is posted on the website PLEASE complain to corporate!

    • Ibdqt34

Does anyone have Barilla pasta coupons you'd be willing to trade? My kids love the Piccolini! Thanks!

      • Catherine Taylor

I think I have a piccolini from a week or two ago.  email me: crafty_cat_86 (at) yahoo (dot) com

        • Ibdqt34

Will do. I'm headed to work in a bit so it'll be a couple of hours until I can *think* for a minute. Thanks so much!!

          • Ibdqt34

            Hi Catherine,

I just sent you an email. Sorry it took so long!

            Thanks again!

    • Addiescouponingmom

Does food lion let you use coupons on the free items in the meal deal? I know Harris Teeter does not!

      • Egghead0123

Not sure, but Harris Teeter has changed their policy to allow a coupon for each and every item purchased.

      • Egghead0123

Not sure, but Harris Teeter has changed their policy to allow a coupon for each and every item purchased.

      • karen

The last meal deal at Harris Teeter with the hot dogs, buns, lipton tea and chips, is when I learned that you can use a coupon for each item.  Your receipt even itemizes each item with a small odd price, but each item of the deal totals up to the price of the meal deal.  (And my coupons still doubled – which was cool!) Also, say if they (HT) is having a buy 2 get three free” sale, you can now use “five” coupons!

      • I was wondering that, too, because BiLo won't. I haven't got a meal deal at FL so I hope someone can answer.

        • Squirrellyec

I always use coupons for free items included in the meal deal at both Food Lion and Bi-Lo.  Never had any problems.

      • Yes! I work at Food Lion and you may use your coupons on the free items in the meal deal. :D

    • TonyaDobson

Having trouble getting coupon for  Country Crock from either link that says printable. This isn't the first time and I am not sure what I am doing wrong. It just takes me to a site advertising the item!

    • Mamacrazy77

The Food Lion here in Conyers Georgia is great with coupons.  They will double coupons up to 60 cents and will also take Kroger, Publix and Ingles store coupons .  You can also bring in there adds on there store brand and Food Lion will substitute there brand at the same price.  They also take internet coupons and do not have a limit on how many you can use. I usually save the most money there.

      • Nikki

Wow that'd be nice! All of our Bloom stores are becoming Food Lion right now, and FL does NOTHING around here. No doubling, no competitor Q's, no price matching, no stacking of store and manu. coupons. They rarely get my business.

        • the dude

food lion here in myrtle beach sc is the same as nikki's no doubleing no nothing.. but they do have there coupon policy right there at the check out like i think ALL should (hint hint KROGER)

          • littlefrogs3

What store is best to use at Myrtle Beach we are going next week and want to get my gorcery list and coupons ready.

            • Gamache07

if you can, check to see if their is a harris teeter that you can shop online and pick up on your way through. that way all you need to do is hand them your coupons and and your debit card on your way to the beach. saves so much time and energy. i do that with the lowes foods in carolina beach.

            • Cheryl

I had a manager hassle me today at FL my post is above – I don't try to get everything for free – but it's nice to get a discount now and then – My manager fussed at the cashier that checked me out – but I heard her – and her instructions were NOT the usual store policy – she said 1 coupon per product – not item as their policy states – I have almost decided to call and complain – but not sure who i would call……

            • Elizabethjboone

Send an email to Food Lion.  You can get the contact info from their website.  I had an issue one time at Food Lion (not concerning coupons, just a rude cashier) and I got an email response and a call from the manager within a day or two.  I am sure the corporate office would want to know about this.

            • Ed In Ncarolina

              Bi-Lo.

      • Judy

I am with you! My FL in Jefferson doubles up to 60 cents and I ALWAYS find meat marked down.  Since they match competitor prices and double their coupons up to 60 cents I have gotten to where I LOVE FL.  Plus, with gas being so high, I only have to drive 4 miles to FL versus over 13 to Publix

      • Karmah60

Awesome!  Must be nice.  Our FL will not double, and all the cashiers I've dealt with so far act like it's a huge hassle if I hand them a few coupons. :/  And it usually is, something beeps everytime and a manager has to be called.  I still manage to save some money on a few things though.

    • Judy

I have a friend in Hawaii who wants to start couponing.  Since Southernsavaes.com only covers the southern states and not way out in the Pacific Ocean, does anyone know of a similar webiste she could use?  Thanks for the help!

      • Ibdqt34

        Hi!

I'm not sure of a particular coupon but if you tell her to 'google' similar sites to southernsavers it will populate some results. I know the krazy coupon lady dot com appeals to west coast / CA people so she may want to check there and see if they have similar stores in HI.

        • Judy

          thanks so much lbdq34!

    • Mraymong

Will Food Lion price adjust from purchases made last week? I bought Duncan Hines cake mix and Bounty paper towels the day before they went on sale… go figure.  Still new to this couponing thing… please help

      • Lana

No, I don't think they will.  It happens to all of us!

      • You can always return them and re-purchase them if you think it's worth the hassle.

        • That's what I'd do. I've done it immediately after discovering I forgot to use my q's. No problem.

    • Ibdqt34

My FL has the New York Texas Toast on sale….B1G1 but no price is listed. I live in the Triangle area in NC.

Has anyone been to FL or know the price? I know they were on sale for $0.99 last week.

    • guest

Since when?  I know Ive used printables there in the past month… Sad if thats true for all of them in Sumter, I print out a good many coupons :(.

      • guest

Sorry, post was meant as a reply to Sandy Morris.

    • Ashley

Marcal Small Steps single roll paper towels are on sale 5 for $5, so they are free if you have the $1 off coupon from a couple weeks ago

    • Erin

The General Mills cereals are on sale for 1.89 (just so you know!)

      • Amanda Leach

Is that the BOGO price or per box after BOGO?

        • $1.89 is the BOGO price. $3.79 is the regular retail price (without your MVP Card).

    • Toyomirage07

My foodlion no longer takes printed smart source coupons. Anyone else have this problem?

      • According to the Food Lion Coupon Acceptance Policy, Food Lion accepts internet printable coupons that appear to be originals. It's the responsibility of the managers to inform their front-line employees on distinguishing valid coupons from fraudulent ones. Managers can access a list of counterfeit coupons on the intranet. There should be no reason they reject your coupons unless they are known counterfeit coupons.

      • Yes, I have this problem at my local FL. It's the only FL in the area with the stupid policy. I tried to argue the corporate policy up and down with the store manager, but he wouldn't budge. He kept trying to use the caveat about them rejecting a possibly fraudulent one. That's bull. Fine! I won't be shopping at that store. I almost never go there.

    • Marnie

The coupon database shows a Otis Spunkmeyer cookie dough e coupon available on FL website, but I can't find it using my zip code.  Anyone have a zip code that works?

    • Tropicsungirl

Does anyone know if Food Lion has stopped making their store coupons for diapers available?  I loved using their $3 off store q's plus manufacturers!

      • Sheri

I think they stopped doing that. I loved using those too. :(. Not sure why they stopped.

    • Randi

My FL had the Mueller's Whole Grain on sale for $1.00 a box, combined with the $1.00 off coupons I got off their website a few weeks ago makes it free!

    • Glenda

Can you use both the ECoupon and a MF Q at FL?

      • Yes. I've done it and gotten a free item before.

    • Addiescouponingmom

My food lion had no idea what a meal deal was. And were EXTREMELY rude about it! Is this meal deal regional, or all Food Lions?

      • Randi

My FL did not have any of the items marked, but since the deal was in our circular(I always grab one when I walk in the store just in case) I found all the items and tried it anyways and it worked… The only issue was the cheesesticks my FL had were a different size than listed in the circular, but it still went through without any issues

        • Addiescouponingmom

It wasn't even in my circular! So I wonder if it is regional, or only certian stores participate! And she was rude beyond belief, saying wherever I got the information wasn't trustworthy and that this “extremecouponing” has gotten out of hand! I was reminded why I DON'T shop at food lion!

          • Dharvn

why would she accuse you of being an extreme couponer, did you mention that you saw the deal on this website? please don't do that. the deals on this website  are meant to help you shop, not dictate to the store what their sales are.

ALWAYS check food lion's ad or their website for the appropriate sale in your area.

            hth.

          • Addiescouponingmom,
I called Food Lion's Customer Relations and the representative told me that the “What a Deal” Meal promotions are regional. Sorry that you had a bad experience shopping at Food Lion.

      • Angel74624

I tried the meal deal at my fl tonight and it didn't work… It was not listed in the ad at all and I asked at customer service and the best they could say was it may have been a regional sale (they were very nice about it though)… So I checked on the food lion website and it doesn't show it with my zip code… Anyone see it on their website with your zip code? Kinda disappointed but what do you do…lol

        • jlh

It's in my circular this week. 37086

    • jess

does anyone know if the gerber catalina deal is good for the formula also?

      • Jahnae

I got an advertisement catalina for that last week, and it says 'food and beverage' and on the picture I don't see formula. My guess is it doesn't. :(

I love the deal, but boy do I HATE when I print a coupon and it prints a HUGE, colorful advertisement at the bottom of the page. Apparently when I put my printer on “black ink” only, it didn't take. Not that it matters. I hate when the ads waste ANY of my ink, black included. I mean, obviously I'm already buying your product, why the need for a huge ad?

      • Appleshell, you can save ink by turning off your printer after it prints the coupon. It's annoying turning it on and off each time, but it saves ink!

      • Ajmstorm67

you could also cut the paper in thirds…the printer will stop when the paper does

      • Thall561

watch the coupon come out your printer. after the coupon prints completelt, hit cancel.

      • Strawberrdish

ha ha ha! Isn't that awful? Vlasic pickles even had the nerve to print the coupon at the BOTTOM of the paper, so i couldn't hit cancel and save ink.

7/8, Friday a.m.I tried to access Otis Spunkenmeyer coupon from the database and could not find it on the Food Lion website…neither ecoupon nor the printable

    • Karmah60

      On the Mueller's pasta…

Can I use a .55 coupon on the one I'm getting for free too?  I'd love to stock up.

      • Cheryl

Yep I did – but look at my comment above – MY Food Lion was not nice about it.

        • Rentiers

Cheryl, you should write a letter to Food Lion about the incident and the manager's comments, making certain to mention details that you DID have only 1 coupon per item, but the manager acted nasty to the customer (you).
If you do this, the next person who comes through using coupons struggling to save on groceries will not be treated badly just for trying to save money. Food Lion might also send you coupons or some other comp as an apology.

          • Sb78931

You can write a comment somewhere on foodlion.com and someone will call from your store.  I had a rude manager try to tell me my coupon was fake bc it was for a free pizza but I knew it wasnt bc the company mailed it to me.  Within a week the customer service person from the store called and appologized!  They even tried to figure out who was rude to me but I didn’t think to look ay their name tag.

When I went to FL today ours had the ad for next week out and they r having the Kellogg cereal for 1.99 next week so if you got to print the $5 off 5 that would be a good deal and 2 of the cereals are rice crispies and raisn bran which I like . The others are the sugar ones like froot loops etc. but a good deal for me $1 a box

      • Jlaleonard

don;t forget to save the Kellogg's upc codes as the have a gas visa card rebate for $10 for 10 boxes.

        • Kristi

What was the link for the gas card promo for the Kelloggs Cereals? TIA

    • Cheryl

Well – I think I ticked off the manager at my Food Lion – but that's ok since she ticked me off to.  I went in – armed with my coupons – for Pasta, salad dressing, and paper towels – all of which are 50 cents or less when you have coupons this week – I had 10 boxes of pasta thanks to my wonderful neighbors who print coupons for me, 10 bottles of salad dressing, and 10 rolls of paper towels – the pasta (14 cents a box) the dressing ( 49 cents a bottle) and the paper towels ( free with $1.00 coupon)  after my cashier rung up my purchase and I had paid – the manager came over and spoke to the cashier telling her from now on only 1 coupon per product per customer – is anyone else having this problem -she even made the comment that people shouldn't “hoard” food – I don't hoard food by the way – my son and I happen to love pasta salad and I make atleast 1 batch of it a week – BTW now that I think of it I only had 1 coupon per item – I guess she thinks we should all just buy 1 box of pasta and be happy – I don't think this is their policy – just needed to vent – may be a while before I go back to my local Food Lion.

        Where are you from?

      • Guest

What paper towels are you getting for free?

        • Coupons090

i guessing its the marcal some fl have the single rolls for a buck just make sure its the coupon that is for any marcal ,the two around me are always out,i have yet to get a single roll for free and have been throwing the expired coupons away.sad

      • Xeratis

That's not policy. I work as a cashier at food lion and only sometimes do the kiosk coupons print and say “One per transaction” or”per customer” or something along those lines.

Recently, there was an alert put up about counterfeit coupons that was 3 pages long, so I think people are just being extra careful. *shrugs* You did fine. When it comes to the sunday newspaper coupons there's nothing to worry about. It's the internet printed ones that go under the microscope really.

      • belle01

All I can say is thank you TLC for making something that I found fun into something that is starting to make me worry a bit every time I get to the checkout, I had a lady in target be rude to me and she refused to except my (newspaper) coupons I complained about her. I dragged the Manager over to her checkout and told the manager how rude she was and that she needed to be retrained in coupons and custmer service. I have gone to her checkout sinse then and she has been over nice to me!!! ;-)

      • Karmah60

I finally went to FL today to get the pasta.  I had 11 boxes + 11 coupons.  The lady immediately told me “I can only accept one of these .55 off coupons.”  Apparently, they read “One per person per purchase” and it's being misinterpreted by store managers.  I tried to argue that sure, I'm one person, and the coupon is for one purchase NOT one transaction.  I DO have 11 purchases. She said she was told by management to only accept one.  So, when I mentioned that I was about to separate my order into 11 different transactions then, she rang them up for me anyway… and guess what, none of them beeped, they all went through just like I said they would and should.  Sheesh.

I really really hate how that darn show has all these stores cracking down like we're thieves now.  :/

    • Jammie21

Anybody have a zip code for the tyson coupon? My zip codes is showing 0 coupons in my area :(

    • Geneva_arness

our local food lions don't do the “meal deal”. I was disaapointed. From Raleigh NC.

      • Belle01

Ours has stopped doing the meal deal aswell, I am disappointed to. I loved there meal deal, which usually always worked out as 2 meals worth. Goldsboro NC

    • Linmarlee

My local Food Lion in Wilmington, NC area had Luigi Italian ice and Minute Maid frozen fruit bars 2 for $4. When you use the recent coupon from the Sunday paper they wind up costing $1 per box.

    • Womaintheword

Hmmm…prior to learning to coupon, I never shopped at FL. Since however, I make a couple trips a week. They do not double, stack or accept competitor coupons, however I have been very fortunate when shopping there. I went in today and got some great deals on their bogo cereal, pasta and paper towels. The cashier was very nice. She mentioned everyone was couponing now and has had alot of trouble with people bringing in multiple coupons for the same items and the customers getting upset when the cash register beeps to prompt a manager. She said the customers are getting angry with the cashier's and it's not their fault. I never buy more than 4 of any item at one time, I think the hassels are coming from people 'extreme couponing'. I can understand the frustration on both sides.

      • Losurdvl

I agree! There is no need to buy 400 of something all at once! if you really do need to stock up on something make a point of it to stop there once a day for the week of that sale or something. I always am EXTRA nice to the cashiers when I have coupons simply because I am sure there are so many who arn't. Plus with all the buzz around couponing now store policies keep changes the way manufacture's print their q's are changing alot as well and it is a learning process for everyone.

Savings Star has a $5.00 coupon for Fisher Price diapers. Went to FL today and discovered the small bag of FP diapers ($8.49) had a coupon on it for $5.00 off a box of Fisher Price diapers (16.99). So I got the box for $11.99 & the bag for $3.49. Never used FP diapers before, so we'll see if it really was a good deal. : )
