Here are all the deals in the Food Lion ad starting 9/7. This is a big week for some of you. The Tennessee market has a number of stores that are going to double 20 coupons per day 99¢ or less! This is on top of the Atlanta Market that has been doubling for years now. Right now this is a one week trial in TN so show them that you love it!

They are also running their stock up & save event on housebrand items. Last time they ran this a few markets did not participate, so please check your ad first. I walked my local store this morning and made a list of some of the top items. These are prices in my store and may vary by area.

Would someone please post the Home 360 yogurt price after they go to Food Lion?  Please post if you received your $1 + off coupon if you bought four yogurts.

I bought many transactions of almost free single-serving size yogurt a few years ago.

      • I don’t think there is a yogurt in the home360 brand.  The last time they ran this deal it included the main Food Lion brand and this time it’s just the Household, Pet and Baby Brands plus the Healthy Accents (personal care items).

        • Jsbl214

well that stinks :(  most of the stuff i bought last year were food items.

    • Lshafer30

I’m in JC, TN..and sooo excited to see if ours will double!

      • Mistydwn

        did they?

    • Anonymous

I wish FL would double coupons in its home market of Charlotte, not that I shop at FL, but my mom does. I also have gotten a FL store coupon booklet for back to school, but it seems like it’s a month late b/c the coupons expires next week!

      • Krissi

I live in Advance NC. I also would shop FL if they would start doubling! I would also like for them to work on their customer service, but I guess I can’t have everything! I’m spoiled by HT!

        • Anonymous

Yes, I’ve been spoiled by HT too lol. Bloom was the answer to HT, but they gave up in the Carolinas.

      • Malissa

I called corporate and asked them why they don’t double coupons in Richmond Hill, Ga. and they told me that is “because their prices are so low”. I can’t print what I told them. That is sooooo NOT true!!!

    • Kristy

Does anyone know if the Greenville,SC stores double? I haven’t stepped foot into one since it change from Bloom.

      • Heather

no, Upstate SC Food Lion stores do not double.  :[

        • Kristy

so it looks like I still wont be going to there store anytime soon.lol  Thank you both for such quick responses!

          • Kristy

            their* not there.lol

      • Minniel0ve

I was told by the store to call and complain to corporate about this.  Food Lion only takes coupons for face value in Greenville.  Corporate told me no, they were not doubling coupons and it didn’t look like it was going to any time soon.

      • Anonymous

No doubling… which explains why I haven’t shopped there in months!! Get with it FL.

    • Chelshataysam

I just called the Food Lion in Tullahoma TN and was told the Chattanooga store was the one doing the testing for TN (in the most southeren part, anyway)…that they had been doing some remodeling and upgrading. Our store is not included in the doubles.

      • Papercents

I love Tullahoma – went to auctioneer’s school there
What a beautiful part of the country!

    • Bcc

      does summerville sc double

      • Guest

No they do not. Only Publix up to .60 and Bi-Lo up to .60.

        • Papercents

which Publix in Summerville doubles .60 ?
The one in Goose Creek on St. James only doubles up to .50
          Thanks!

    • Jillian

      Charlotte market doesnt double? Lame.

      • nope. they don’t double. This is why I drive right past the Food Lion 1 mile from my house and travel 12 miles to the nearest Harris Teeter every week. The savings off my grocery bill pays for the extra fuel at least 8 times over. I always look at the FL ads just in case there is an unbeatable price on something my household really likes and then I might make the rare trip. Early in the summer I went to FL to get large Tombstone pizzas for $2.50 ea. and last Christmas I went to buy some wine that was a special purchase (FL only carries it seasonally) but normally FL doesn’t get my business.

        • Beth Anne Saves

Lately Publix is the only store with good couponing deals. The only thing on this list that is good is the Chicken Leg Quarters. Like that Home 360 stuff is a good deal…but we can’t use any coupons with them. I ordered my publix stock up booklet so might just wait till I get them to get some stuff. I wish the closest harris teeter wasn’t an hour and a half away they get some good deals :(

    • Anonymous

I have a question. The 360 brand rolled bandage is .99 if I buy 10 of those will I get $10 off my total? or does it have to be a certain amount too?

      • April

I think it would work b/c the post says buy ANY of those items, so it shouldn’t matter how many of each as long as you have that certain amount. HOWEVER, I think her post above said buy 40 save $10.00

      • Jsbl214

yes it will work. however, you will get a coupon for $2.50 off your next order, not $10 off your order instantly. the increments are .25 per item, not a dollar.

    • Lori P. :)

Just called the Food Lion on Ashland Terrace in Hixson/Chattanooga and they confirmed that they start doubling tomorrow!!!

    • Anonymous

Chatt is about 50 miles from me, wish there had been better deal, doesnt look like its worth the drive.

    • Renny

I called the corporate office & was told that the stores in the Chatt/Hixson/Cleveland area are participating…so wish they would show middle TN some double coupon love!!  Hopefully the TN test market will blow them out of the water & they will be convinced they need to double here, too!!  Go couponistas!!

      • Laurie

I also called Food Lion Corporate and spoke with a Customer Service Rep.  I told her in Cary, NC, the Food Lion which does not double has two stores within a mile that double coupons.  I stopped shopping at Food Lion because of this.  She took my information and said she would pass it onto the appropriate people.
I think if enough people call, they may get with the program!

        • tgirl

pls, i also live in cary. which of the food lion stores doubles? there are 2 on maynard. is it the one by walgreens/aldi or the one by dollar general/dominos? pls advise

          • Bscott16

I think she was saying there are 2 competitors nearby that double, not FL stores.

          • Ardnasfu82

Kroger, Lowe’s Foods and Harris Teeter double, and you may be able to find the closest one to you if you search on their websites.

        • TriangleMom

Great idea.  I live in Cary too and will contact them.  FL is just down the road but I got to HT and LF bec they double coupons.

        • Renny

Right!  I asked her for a coupon kiosk & for the store here in my little town to double.  She told me to speak w/my local managers…hope they will eventually come on board!

      • This is the letter I get back when inquring about why they don’t double
Thank you for your recent email. We are pleased that you took the time to
contact us, and are glad to have the opportunity to respond.

Double off coupons are not used simply because we do not have the extra
profit built in to honor them. We feel our customers are better served with
lower prices rather than higher prices and double coupons. We much prefer that
our customers purchase products of their choice at a fair price.

Again, thank you for contacting us, Mrs. Popoff, and for choosing Food Lion.
If we can further assist you, please do not hesitate to let us know.

        Sincerely,

        Melissa HurlockerCustomer Relations Representative

    • Beverly Haley

when are we going to be able to double coupons in North Carolina

    • Anonymous

I have 4 -$.55 Pepsi Max 12 pack blinkies that will double to $1.10 in markets with doubling.  That would make 12 packs $1.90 each.  If you want them I will trade for 4 TG  Lee coupons from their website (choose Florida).  Email me at ziggy34434 at ymail dot com if you are interested.

    • katiec

does anyone know if the stores in south ga are participating?

    • I still think Wisk for $1.99 deserves an acorn!

      • Done :).  I usually tend to reserve them for things that are free or under a dollar, but you’re right that it’s a great price.

        • Anonymous

Isnt the Wisk cheaper at Kroger now? Is that a good price? Its on sale for bogo but im confused what each one should be but i think 1.25 after  coupon

      • Beth Anne Saves

I used all my wisk coupons at CVS :( but the BOGO was about the same.

    • Anonymous

I just talked someone at with the FL in Chatsworth, GA, she said that they were participating in the double trial campaign. The FL ad in the Dalton, GA & Chatsworth, GA papers should have all of the information.  I guess that NW GA is considered to be part of the  SE TN market area.

      • Anonymous

Thanks so much for posting this.  Be sure and check out the database for 75 cent off coupons.  To save time, Sani-wipes are gone and Uncle Ben’s is $1/2 instead of 75 cents off but there are a lot of good ones there.

    • susan

Anyone know if I can stack a FL e-coupon with a paper manufacture’s coupon?

      • Jpaden25

I have before.  But it seems different at every store.  I go to the one in Douglasville.

        • Nicolla9102

where is the one in Douglasville?

          • Jpaden25

On Hwy 92 going toward Hiram.

      • It works at the register, but according to Food Lion’s Coupon Acceptance Policy, you’re not supposed to.

    • zoeyjane

i wish they were doubling here..chatt is atleast 200 miles from me lol and thats the closest place that is doubling…. oh well maybe it will go extremely well and they will decide that all tn grocery stores should double…

    • Hello,

Here in the Raleigh NC area we got a $5 off $15 of Household Products (tide, bounty, charmin, etc.) at Food Lion attached to our newspaper mailer.  Does anyone know if this can be combined with man. coupons or not?

    • Anonymous

Anyone have any wisk laundry detergent they are not gonna use and live in sc that would like to trade???? If so email me ASAP, they expire On 9/11

    • Dee

ARGH!  Food Lion in South Congaree said I could only get one Wisk using coupons, because it was “one per purchase”.  I tried to explain that ALL coupons say this, and I was purchasing three, and had three coupons…called manager over per my request.  Manager said I would have to complete three transactions…only “one per purchase”.  I did the three transactions, however, this is ridiculous. I am done with this Food Lion!

      • Karen

Oh, man! Someone doesn’t understand coupons!! What a pain. I wouldn’t go back either unless they get straightened out. Whew!

      • tammi

I wonder is that is why my 2nd coupon beeped!  I didn’t even see that wording on there.  They had to bring the manager over, but it was still put through since I had the correct item.

    • tammi

Used a $2 Publix coupon from their Green Advantage flyer to get the Dove deodorant for free!  Of course you can only use one Publix coupon per transaction though.

      • Dee

Does your Food Lion take competitor coupons?  I need to go to that store!

        • tammi

I go to the one in Conyers, GA.  They allow one competitor coupon per transaction.  They double all coupons up to and including $.60.  They also price match any Publix, Ingles, and Kroger deals.  This works out great for some deals like the Barilla B1G1 deal at Publix.  Price match that sale and then use the $.55 coupon which will double at Food Lion.

    • Anonymous

Went to FL in Chatsworth GA that is participating in doubles up to 99 cents. I only had 3 things on my list because this week’s ad wasn’t the greatest for me but I took all my 75 cent off coupons and one 55 cent and got the following:

The below were on sale and are prices after $1.50 off:
      2 Free Smart Balance spread
3 Campbell’s Select Harvest soups at 75 cents each
4 six packs of Yoplait Trix at $1.25 each
2 Welch’s grape jelly 2lb jars at 50 cents each (unadvertised sale 2/$4)

The below were NOT on sale but the prices weren’t too bad after $1.50 off:
3 Reynolds Heavy Duty 18″ foil at $2.09 each
2 Reynolds Heavy Duty non stick foil at $2.49 each (boy that stuff is pricey)
1 box of 48 Efferdent Cleanser at $1.79
2 bags Dole frozen ready cut fruit at $1.39 each
1 pouch Sunsweet pitted prunes/plums at $1.09 (this was the 55 cent Q, so $1.10off)

I spent $40.13 for $97.77 of groceries and saved $57.64, so 59% including some grapes and a couple of other things with no Q’s.

I didn’t have time to do the Private Brand Sale today but am going to print a few more coupons and go back again before the sale’s off.

So all in all a pretty good week for me.  I was thrilled with my first “double up to 99 cents” deal!

Beware the Food Lion in Dawsonville, GA.  They PRETEND to run your coupons, but don’t.  When I got to my car and looked at my bill, I noticed they did NOT use even half my coupons.  Went right back in to customer service desk and they REFUSED to honor my coupons because I didn’t have them.  I asked them to check with the cashier and they wouldn’t.  Their response “Anyone could just come in to Food Lion and SAY they had coupons that weren’t taken.  If you don’t have the proof that we didn’t take the coupons, then we can’t honor it”.  And they didn’t.  One other time I caught the cashier (who is also a manager) keep the coupons to the side and not run them thru.  When I asked her about them, she didn’t have an answer, and decided to take them.  It’s just not worth it to use coupons at Food Lion in Dawsonville.  I believe that’s their goal as they clearly don’t like to mess with coupons–ever.

      • me

what I would do if I were you (if you ever shop there again :)) is to hand them each coupon one by one, and watch them scan it.  that will ensure every one goes through, and might frustrate them a little… so they know how you feel =)

    • Gayle

My store participated in double coupons but there is a limit of 20 doubled coupons luckily I had only 18

I try to avoid food lion . Unless the deal is outrageous I went in once and had white envelope with coupons (Not all were to be used in food lion ) half way through I stopped to compare my coupons against what was in my cart. The manager then began following me around the store and then challenged every coupon . I only gave them one at a time and Made sure I had the ones not allowed back in my hand before the next was used.   The cashier and manger were commenting on my purchases and income level .  So unless it is in my favor to hell with FOOD LION.
