    • I’m seeing some items on my daughter’s back to school list here! This will be the first time I actually use FL coupons in FL. My poor husband – he drives by there twice a day and he is going to picking up back to school things a couple times a week.

    • Jenny

That’s what I was thinking too… haven’t been in FL in ages.

    • Gwen

New to the FL thing, so this may sound like a dumb question. You just take the 360 and Home Accents coupons in there and you just get the stuff for free? I am assuming you can only use one coupon at a time, so you would have to make multiple trips if you need more than one of the “free” items listed.

      • Jenny

        Gwen,

You are right that you can only use one of each coupon per day. So lots of daily trips. These don’t expire until the end of August though and the deals above are regular prices so you have a while :)

    • great list jenny, thanks!

    • Diane

My FL won’t take coupons that are more than the price of the item.

    • Julieann

Thanks so much for including the private brand deal ideas….I will certainly use these q’s!!!

    • nancy

      Jenny what a great list.

    • crystal

My Nc food lion tried to pull that stunt with me as well, and I told them that was pooey, the coupons are food lion coupons and it states on most for example “1 dollar off your next home 360 purchase” it doesn’t state, coupon must exceed value of item, so therefore you can use it, I would try calling corp and explain to them it is a FOOD LION coupon and that it is not right to put them out for use, if they are only for select items. While I don’t have a prob with coupons that are for select items only,I do think the q should state specifically what it is for, and not for us to go shopping only to be told that we can’t use their coupons. Boo on Food Lion

    • momof2

I used 2 of these FL q’s tonight. I got 2 free (20 ct) plastic cups which will be great for the July 4th celebration.

    • AngelathecouponNERD

Wow – I may stop by FL a few times this month to get the freebies! I’m guessing that the best approach would be to get one Home 360 and one Healthy accents deal per trip?
There are some great deals on Hefty Cups and Carolina Pride this week. Maybe get one of each, on each trip?
I shopped FL twice a few months ago, but without double coupons, it usually isn’t worth my time.

    • Jennifer C.

Look for Home 360 Light Breeze fabric softner sheets, 40 count in a purple and black box, on clearance for $1.53. The Food Lion Cocoa Crunchies cereal was $1.51. The 20 count red cups are a really good deal too.

    • Angie

Okay this is probably going to sound like a stupid question but were are you getting the coupons that make all that stuff free at Food Lion ?

    • Angie

Oh I think I get it now, you have to take the 360 coupon but use it multiple times to get all that for free ?

      • Jenny

Yes, each use would get you one thing for free. Those are mostly just ideas of what is in the store.

    • nancy

no, you can only use q once at transaction. then you print a new q to get another item. ok

    • KT

Where do you get the 360 and Home Accent coupons? I am not familiar with them.

      • Jenny

        KT,

The Home 360 coupon and Healthy Accent coupons are the first printable listed above the free deals.

    • KT

Where do you get the 360 and Home Accent coupons? I am not familiar with them.
      BTW I love your blog!

    • Sande

just drove 20 miles round trip and came home empty handed… they wouldn’t take the coupons because they exceeded the amount of the product. the cashier then asked if i wanted the coupons back and i said, “no… i am not going to get something unless it’s free.” then my daughter and i walked out. not worth the trip… but lesson learned, stick with my Harris Teeter and Publix and I can get the best deals.

    • Sonya

I found that my coupon doesnt have a problem if the coupon takes off more than the product cost as long as I also purchase some other things so that in the end I am still paying them something

    • Jennifer C.

I don’t mind paying a little extra for an item, it doesn’t always have to be free for it to be a good deal. I think you have to question, can I get this any cheaper and can I wait that long to purchase the item? You’d be hard pressed to find a box of fabric softner sheets for 53¢ I found my hand sanitizer today and it ended up being 96¢. I know that Walgreens will have Purell free the last week of August or the first part of September but I need a few to send back to school with the kids the in the middle of August so this is a great deal for me. I don’t think I could find sanitizer any cheaper. I’ve gotten plenty of name brand cereal for free but 51¢ is a good price and if you buy the Cocoa Crunchies with the Hooked on Phonics book offer on the back of the box you can get a free book with 3 proofs of purchase. I keep thinking about the pasta coupons from a few weeks ago, people were so upset because the store wouldn’t take the $1.00 Q off of the 89¢ box of pasta. I was estatic to get the $1.29 box for 29¢. I think the lowest I’ve ever gotten a box of Muellers is around 40-50¢. Jenny’s “Buy Price” is 72¢ for a box of spaghetti so 29¢ was great deal. I think using these current coupons will be like an Easter Egg hunt, I hope everyone leaves comments on the deals they find.

    • megan c

when will fl put out new baby coupons? its drving me bonkers.

    • Sande

Jennifer C – i agree that things don’t have to be free to be a great deal, but we haven’t gotten our budget money yet for the month of July and i didn’t have but a dollar or so in change… was hoping to get some stuff we didn’t need, but would have liked to get it for free. this was the first time i had been to that FL and it will probably be the last as it was not a very nice store.

    • lauren

If you are in the Summerville, SC area the $1off coupons will not scan on anything less than $1. But there are lots of other neat things to choose from that will cost just pennies after the coupon.

    • momof2

I went to FL earlier today & was able to use the FL q’s. I was able to get (2) cans of Chef Boyardee, 1 gallon of Hawaiian Punch, a pack of plastic cups (20ct), and a bottle of peroxide. Total oop 60 cents. I think I will make daily trips as long as they continue to accept the q’s.

    • AngelathecouponNERD

Went to FL today – got some store brand vitamins (small size and easy to swallow!) for $2 after the q, and some gallon freezer bags for less than $1 after the q. Also got the roach/ant spray.
Nice little pit stop for me. More to come!

    • I just never have FL DRAMA…Praise the Lord. I know them and they know me…I do coupon class field trips to my local Food Lion and they will even let us do different transactions for the coupons…I am buying all the school supplies I can to give to kids that are less fortunante and donate to our PTO for raffle gift baskets to raise money….FREE is good and FL is not out of my way to shop…they know me by name and know that one day a week I come in just to price the items and another to purchase… our rubbing alcohol, peroxide or other HEALTHY ACCENTS weren’t that cheap, but I didn’t need any of that stuff anyway. Think about the kids you can help with the FREE school supplies…also you know how we have to purchase the kleenex they have the KLEENEX brand “anti-viral” for 99cents and the rest are $2.30…can not beat that especially if you use the 99/3 makes one FREE!!! We just flew in from VACATION and this will be fun..

      • Jenny

Welcome home Travise. I was wondering where you had run off to!

    • Annamarie

Where do you get the 360 coupons?

    • Jenn

Anyone have great FL stores around you? Would love to hear which ones are worth visiting!! Thank you.

    • Molly

OK, so I am EXTREMELY new to this!!!! Where do I go to print out coupons for the free items from FL? The only grocery store we have anywhere near us is FL (we live in the STICKS!!!)

      • Jenny

The coupons to get all the free things are in the same post above. You want the link that has the coupons that are bold.

    • OK went to my local FL…I say mine because I think I am the only EXTREME COUPONER they have.. I spent like $25, but that is because I caught the meat lady marking down meat and picked up bunches of $1.65 mark downs on turkey meat…we rarely do read meat in our house anyway I picked up the rest of the scissors on the FREE scissors (4) on the shelf, several of the FREE 360 plastic cups (planning a party and will need them) pencil sharpeners and some other items. Again like someone said above these aren’t sale prices and the coupon is good through August so if FL is on the way home shouldn’t be any problem to hit them for the free stuff daily. I am in Rock Hill, SC we have three stores I only frequent one and I do the coupon class field trip and tell everyone they are COUPON FRIENDLY so it kind of gives me a edge up on the other REGULAR (LOL) couponers.Kind of you scratch there back they scratch yours..

Also if you need some RITZ crackers they have a $1 off coupon display making them $1 a box good for the party also.

    • Ronda

Just curious……did you get all that free stuff in one visit or make multiple trips? (4 scissors, several cups, etc)

The coupon I printed off says “Limit one use per purchase of specified product per transaction, per person, per day.”

I’m new to using Food Lion coupons and I just want to do it correctly.

    • kelli

I’ve been doing the couponing thing for a few months and I’ve found that I barely shop anywhere but Kroger, Food Lion, and CVS now. I live in Southwest Virginia and we don’t have Publix, Bi-Lo, Harris Teeter, etc. I used to do all of my regular shopping at Walmart, but since reading this blog and several others like it, I find much better deals at other places now.

Anyway, back to the topic… I have 2 Food Lions in my town and both of them will take the coupons for $1 off whatever. A few weeks ago when they had the $1 off FL pasta, I went through the line several times with pasta that was $.89 and got paid $.11 to take it out of the store. They have to have a manager come over and turn their key and push some bottoms, but it works and they don’t seem to mind much.

Also, I went in twice with a pile of 8 coupons and just did 8 different transactions (I make my fiance come with is so it doesn’t seem quite as bad, just 4 each). It holds up the line a bit so I try not to do it while they’re busy but again, they don’t seem to mind. I live in a college town and most of the people working at the stores are students, so I think that they understand saving money.

    • Ronda-
Do it the way the coupon says if you want to do it the right way!! As Kelli said it holds up the line, so often I will do different transactions or go at an OFF time of the day. “Go with the flow of the coupon”…as I said I do a lot of advertising and bring a lot of customers in the door at this particullar FL….but especially if you are NEW..you want to “go with the flow of the coupon”. Have fun and keep coupons with your wallet at all times.

    • megan c

there are new baby coupons at foodlion.com
      I just printed mine out

    • paige

You should never misuse coupons like that. It makes the rest of us look bad, don’t have them pay you cash to take something, buy something you need to absorb the overage. I would never go threw line 8 times, 2 is my limit 3 is pushing it big time. And yes foodlion does mind!

      • Jenny

Just to keep this on track… guys please note that these coupons all say “One Print per person per day” I know many stores will let you use more but lets not encourage each other to go against what the wording says.

    • matt

how dose the F/L 360 work I live 30 miles from one but think it would be wourth the trip if I knew how to do it.

    • Catherine

I agree with the prior comment, Please observe the wording on the coupons. It’s great to be able to save $1 on simple items everytime you get a chance to go in! Don’t ruin it by using the same coupon (FLIP) over and over again the same day.

    • Brandy

The 360 Aluminum foil was on sale this week for .99 so I got it for free today. I went in to the FL in West Columbia today and got…

      milk 2.29
      360 aluminum foil .99
      healthy accents peroxide .69
      FL baby wipes 1.62
      huggies baby wash 1.71

1 MW for 1.00 off the huggies baby wash,
1 FL Q for .50 off huggies wipes or body product
1 FL Q for 1.00 off healthy accents product
      1 FL Q for 1.00 off Home 360 product
1 FL Q for 1.50 off FL wipes

My total was 2.40. I am stocking up on baby stuff for a baby shower coming up in a few weeks so the body wash and lotions and wipes will be great to include.

I have learned the hard way that you have to give your MQ’s at FL first or they won’t scan.

    • I shared a lot of FLIP coupons with customers today at my local FL mostly by standing in line and just passing out the coupons to help offset the groceries…

    • DOLE Salads coupons have $2 off hanging in produce department in FL…makes the small DOLE classic iceberg free they don’t expire till 7/31…

    • Faith

I went to FL last night. They had a coupon machine that printed $1.00 off hefty storage/freezer bags. On sale this week for buy one get one free. I paid $2.00 for 4 boxes of really good storage bags. Just wanted everyone to know.

    • Here are baby coupons http://www.foodlion.com/babysteps/coupons/coupons.asp?title=fl-baby-070109-ACjlo

      **Jenny Here**
These have also already been added to the main list of coupons fro Food Lion if you click the link above the header. They are good through 9/30.

There are new pet coupons out too, though nothing too exciting.

    • megan c

      ty jenny

    • carol

So these FL coupons can be stacked with manufacturers coupons?

    • Brandy

Jenny, I thought that the baby coupons could be printed once a day, but I printed mine on Monday and it still won’t let me print another one. Usually you have a PDF file on the baby coupons and I’ve always stuck to just using one whenever I go in there, but now it seems that I can only get one. Any suggestion? Will you be including a PDF file of the baby coupons? And where do you get the PDF of the coupons?

Thanks for all that you do!

    • Brandy

Never mind. I went back to the Food Lion list and looked again and finally found them under a different posting. I’m such a ditz sometimes!

Thanks again for all you do. I have saved my family so much money since I took your course in Columbia back in April! I still sit down and think about how much money I could have been saving for so long.

    • My FL has way different prices on a lot of these things (Especially the Healthy accents) but I did find $.99 aluminum foil – 25 sq ft box, and $.97 travel packs of antibacterial wipes for the Home 360q.

I also found the elusive Corona booklets in the beer section, and these have a $1/2 avocado q in them!! Woohoo!

    • Elizabeth

I had printed some Hefty trash bag coupons recently and used them at FL for $1.50/box of 22 13 gallon trash bags. Now I would like to use my husbands computer to print more and can’t find them. Does anyone know where they are? Maybe I am tired but I looked in the FL list several times – went to their site and others – but I am stumped! Thanks for your help.

    • Elizabeth

One more thing – I purchased a pint of beautiful blueberries for 50 cents a pint with my Guiding Star coupon. They were on sale for $1.50 I also bought the FL trash bags – 15 count 13 gallon size for 59cents using the Home 360 coupon.

    • One more post! Found the link to the Hefty trash bags finally. Under FoodLion coupon 7/8 – 7/21 comment #6 has a link.

    • Holly

I never shop FL but went yesterday and got some good deals. I got 2 bottles of Ken’s salad dressing with $1.01 overage. They were BOGO (sale ended yesterday though) and I had the FL coupon and a Manu coupon.
I also got a good deal on some Gerber baby food (40 cents a jar) by combining a FLIP and manu coupon.
I used the $1.50 off FL diapers or wipes to buy the smallest package of wipes (40ct) and paid only $0.12 for it.
I got some free hand sanitizer ($0.96) and a free eraser ($0.59) to add to the back to school stash. Anything my stepson doesn’t need (we don’t have his supply list yet), I will donate.

I did not have any trouble using the $1 coupons for items less than $1, but I also had an assortment of things. If I was only buying these things, then maybe it would’ve been different.

    • Amy C. in GA

Does anyone know if the Healthy Accents Q would cover FL Bleach?

    • Amy C. in GA

Nevermind! Bleach is covered by the Home360 Q! Sorry!!! :)

    • Maybe I am tired but I looked in the FL list several times – went to their site and others – but I am stumped! Thanks for your help.
