Grab this Food Lion printable coupon for $5 off $30 purchase!  You can either use this at Food Lion or Bi-Lo and Publix, if your store considers Food Lion a competitor.

Coupons off an entire purchase are a great way to get some extra savings because you can use them with other coupons too.

There is a limit of one coupon per customer and it expires 7/24.

Harris Teeter also takes Food Lion coupons.

      • great_state

YMMV.  HT’s coupon policy says they’ll accept circular or direct-mail coupons from competitors, but not internet coupons from competitors.

        • Diana29680

          YMMV?

          • great_state

             Your mileage may vary.

    • Susie

My BiLo doesn’t take $ off total purchase coupons. :(

    • Rwilkerson

This will work great with the BIG DEAL sale they are having!!

    • Gnew1

My printed coupon is not showing all of the bar code. :(

    • Savn2gether

Thanks! Got mine for Publix! :)

    • Mcleodsc

The coupon says limit one per person, transaction, day. Does that mean I can use one each day? Does the FL card track this?

      • Crystalgoodwin3

No, FL does not keep track.
I just got home from FL.
I checked out 3 times and saved $15 plus I only bought the Big Deal items and a few B1G1 deals. Plus I got a rain check for the Perdue chicken.

oh no… I spent over $100 at publix last night [incl gas card ] — could have save $5 twice… Maybe I’ll do one more trip this week.
My Bi-Lo [Goose creek] usually takes these too – very coupon friendly store :)

      THANKS!!!!

    • Tim_meives

Tried to use at Bi-Lo, mgr. said it was against company policy, they only honor other store coupons on specific items.  East Ridge, TN

      • Mcleodsc

If you have a PUBLIX and FL is a competitor, they will take it.

    • Abby

Is this $30 before or after coupons?  I’m new to Food Lion and not sure of all the policies yet.

      • SavySaver

I am wondering the same thing!  Thank you in advance to anyone that can help!

      • Mcleodsc

after my experience this morning -IT VARIES FROM STORE TO STORE!

    • I plan on using this along with my $10 off $50 at Harris Teeter to buy HT gift cards…. Then I use the gift card to pay for my groceries (and might be able to use another coupon – or not depending on if I need that many groceries!)

    • MacBear1000

My Bi-Lo says they do not take competitor coupons for a dollar amount off, they only take coupons for specific items.

      • Amberwilson21

Not sure what the policy is but any time I have used the amount off coupons I have always used them before all other coupons

      • Mcleodsc

this is what I dislike about BI-LO-IT VARIES FROM STORE TO STORE, MANAGER TO MANAGER, EVEN FROM ONE CASHIER TO ANOTHER!  I wish that Bi-Lo would come up with ONE CORPORATE  coupon policy that covered ALL their stores and put it in writing in the front of the store so the cashiers could see it to clarify any questions

    • Mcleodsc

Does anyone know if the $30. is before or after coupons?

      • Mcleodsc

yesterday I shopped at the Food Lion at Palmetto Plaza in Sumter SS and the $30 was before any coupons.
Today I shopped at the Food Lion on Hwy. 15 South and was told the $30 total was AFTER ANY COUPONS OR DISCOUNTS.
So this is for Jenny-could you find out which is correct?  It is not written on the coupon.

    • guest

It worked for me with the $30 being before coupons.  The cashier did scan the $5 coupon first so my total was still above $30 but after all coupons my total was $18,  I did have to scan my MVP card in order for the coupon to go through though.  A message popped up when the cashier tried to scan the coupon saying to scan mvp card first.

    • Dlasseter

Will Harveys accept this coupon since they are owned by the same company?

      • Klynn

        YES they will.

    • Elizabeth

I work at Food Lion. The $30 total must be reached BEFORE coupons. The coupon $5 off $30 will only scan AFTER the MVP has been scanned, because it is a store company. The register will beep, requesting cashier to ask for card,  as it is required for must store coupons. You can pay under $30  if you have lots of coupons. Reminder the total amount of products purchased must be OVER $30 without taxes, it can not be 29.99 or less, and at least $30 before MVP card is scanned. (This is only for store coupons, not special MFG cards.)

      • Cheryl

It was much simpler to use the coupon at Harris Teeter. I stopped at CS and they said they’d take it. I just had to buy $30 worth of groceries and it was $32 before the coupons. I used a $1 coupon and the $5. Good deal!!

Stopped at FL today for 4 more of the Perdue chickens package that were
B1G1 at $8.99 plus a gallon of milk. We go though alot of milk in my house.
I had this $5 off $30 coupons and my total was only $21.87 so I could use my $5 off $30 coupon. I had an idea so I went and got 10 rolls of the brawy paper towels for $1 each. They were part of the big deal this week.
It made my sub-total $31.87. The register took off $5 for the big deal and $5 for my $30 purchase. Making my total only $22 plus change including the tax. It was like getting 10 big rolls of paper towels for just the tax.

      • Bthomasson1

Very smart! Thanks for the idea!

    • Today is the last day for the mega deal. You can get 20 brawny paper towels or angel soft toiletry for only $5.00 before taxes. Use the $5.00 q and it will take the $10.00 off for the mega deal making it $5.00
