Is there a limit on the triples?? I don’t usually shop there but I can drive 20 mins for triples!

      • ET

They will triple a maximum of 20 per visit or per day depending upon the store.

    • Kim

That stinks! I live in Summerville, South Carolina … will they ever triple here?

      • Tanya

I live in Cookeville, TN.When will they ever DOUBLE here?

        • Joy

I also live in Cookeville and I agree with you – when will they ever double?!

      • Ann

Don’t feel bad, as far as I know they don’t ever double or triple here in Lexington either.

        • southerngurl

lexington nc? im from there> ha

    • Lorie

Found a great deal at FL today! They had Butterball Breakfast Turkey Sausage Links on sale for 2/$3 with .55 peelies on them. I bought the last 4 packs for 3.80 total! They are good sized packs too!!

      • Carin

Lorie – where are the butterbal breakfast turkey sausage links in the store?? are they near the bacon? thanks :o)

    • jennifer

I am confused. When I try to look at Foodlion store triples etc., it send me to Harris Teeter. Are they owned by the same company so the deals are the same at both???

      • Rebecca

I’m confused as well. Sorry I’m no help.

        • Bobby

If you look in the FL tripling post you’ll see she says this list should work for FL or be even better since the FL everyday pricing is cheaper. In other words, she puts the tripling list together based on available coupons and does not focus as much on the prices of the items b/c the big savings come from the coupons not a “sale”. At least thats my understanding. Hope this helps.

      • lindsey

Is Food lion and Harris Teeter the same? When I click to see triple coupons it takes me to Harris Teeter.

      • Katherine

it is a generic list to show good triple coupon deals…..harris teeter just triples more frequently and its listed under that store

        • lindsey

Thanks! I was a little confused about that.

      STORY TIME STORY TIME!!!!!!

The other day about 3 weeks ago i go to food lion after dropping daughter off at school bout 8am. Pull into parking lot, 4 cars in lot that our customers i could have my own personal employee to go around with me. Now for today: into te lot i turn 20 to 25 cars in lot or should i say suv’s. each came equipt with either 2 younger ladies with less then 2 year olds each or an middle to older woman with a baby carraige full of coupons and 23 mvp cards. now we all concregated around certain areas of the store any one wanna guess as to where? thats right where the stuff you can get for free is be it tuna, vegetables, frozen foods, cake mixxes, frosting. each comparing notes but also keeping other at safe distance till they get all they want. now i am happily married and not looking but i have managed some sports teams for my kids. i feel as if there is a great roller derby team out there with the blockers and the runners the sparring down the aisles. we even have refs in the empolyees where i heard more then once ya can tell it triple coupon week. considering what jenny has posted for 11/15 coupons i can’t wait to see what its going to be like saturday night or sunday with the bacon at 50 cents and birdeyes veg’s free from sunday q’s

those interested in the roller derby team we can name it “big johns rolling ladies of the q” or “coupon cuties on wheels”.

      • LOL!!!! Sounds like fun! I feel like the lone Q shopper here!

      • Heidi

That cracked me up! I can so see that happening!

    • Kim

At Food Lion, can I use a B1G1 coupon on a B1G1 item?

      • kelli

you can use it but you won’t get both items for free. at food lion, if an item is on sale bogo, it actually means half price.

        • Kevin

Actually…yes you CAN get it FREE! At Food Lion, always ring up items, give coupons, then MVP (in that order). It allows you to get OVERAGE for your triples. Also, if there are Buy 1 Get 1 Free’s the computer system will tell the cashier to enter in the FULL AMOUNT for the coupon (not the reduced MVP price).

Example: We got 2 packs of M&M’s and 2 Snicker’s Bars. They were $0.89 each, buy 1 get 1 free. We had 2 coupons for buy 1 get one free. They all rang up initially for $0.89 each. Then, the cashier scanned the 2 coupons and took off $0.89 twice to record the FREE items. Then, the MVP card was scanned, which reduced the price another $0.89 for each. We got them ALL for FREE!! :) (Helpful tip) USE THAT ORDER…RING UP GROCERIES, COUPONS, MVP CARD!!! It also will help when you are getting an item FREE, because it will triple based upon the FULL PRICE, not the MVP price. (Then you will get the MVP savings on top of it)

    • Becky

Thank you so much for posting about triples! I went to Food Lion for the first time and got great deals!! The shelves were already thinning out. :)

    • Jason

My SS 10/18 (Charlotte Observer) contains a .50/1 Birds Eye Steamfresh. It does not contain the $1/3 or the .35/1.

Also, there was a store coupon for $1/2 Frito Lay Baked in the Healthy Accents Seasonal Wellness booklet that was given out a few weeks ago … although oddly, I don’t see that coupon mentioned in your post about it (http://www.southernsavers.com/2009/10/healthy-accents-seasonal-wellness-booklet-food-lion/). I wouldn’t have expected these books to be regional, but perhaps they were.

    • Heidi

Can you stack a storeQ with a manuQ at FL?

      • Jason

I don’t know the official policy, but I’ve done it before with no problem.

        • Cindi

I have had different cashiers that will let you stack coups and ones that don’t. The customer service mgr said they can’t do it, so I left and came back the next day and went thru a different line and got her to stack them. I am in Blythewood,SC. Guess it just depends.

      • kelli

I think that the official policy says that you can no longer stack coupons. My very coupon friendly store will no longer allow it.

    • jmd

Food Depot in Dallas GA is out of almost everything that is free or close to it. Maybe a good Idea to see when the truck is coming in again before making the trip.

    • jmd

Also Dallas Ga Food Lion you have to by 2 items to get the other free they are not 1/2 price.

    • amanda

Found a $1.00 off when you buy 6 tearpad coupon near the b1g1 display of campbells cream soup and swanson broth. Includes all cream soups and all swanson broth products. Be on the look out!

      • Leigh

I found it at the formula/ciggy’s checkout line in the front… I only got two though =(

    • ET

      SMALL PRINT ALERT!

The Oscar Meyer bacon is limited to 2 free per transaction. If you buy more than 4, the remaining will ring up at full price. The sale includes the center cut as well as the regular cut.

    • Kat

Thanks for the heads-up about the triples! I live near the Fayetteville store, and so far I have been able to do the triples on 3 different days. I would estimate I got about $150 worth of groceries for around $10-$15. (Haven’t checked my totals yet.) Many items were free. I not only replenished my stockpile, but I took a lot of extras to donate to our food pantry.

    • Beth

The DiGiorno frozen pizzas are also on sale this week for 2/$10. There is an in-store coupon for an additional $1 off which makes each pizza $4. These are soooo good and quick. My favorite is the Tuscan Chicken. It tastes like something you get at a restaurant. Mmmmmm….pizza!

    • Kevin

      TRIPLE HINT AT FOOD LION:

To get overage, follow the following order!!
      RING UP GROCERIES
      GIVE CASHIER YOUR COUPONS
      GIVE CASHIER YOUR MVP CARD!!!

Doing so, will allow you to get OVERAGE from your triples, because the items will triple based upon FULL PRICE not MVP Price. THEN, you will get the MVP savings on TOP of that!!

Also, if you have any Buy 1 Get 1 FREE items or FREE items that are on sale. You can get Overage, because the cashier will ring up the value as the FULL PRICE. (Not the SALE PRICE) Then, you will get the overage!!!

Just some HELPFUL TIPS!!! They WORK!!! TRY IT!! :)
