      Is Colgate toothpaste really $1

I see a lot of awesome deals :)

      • C Hakes

I just found a coupon on Colgates website for .75$ off Colgate Total.

        • Lori

There were some coupons in the 4/25 SS for colgate toothpaste. I'm wondering if it is worthwhile to get it free at FL, or wait and see if I can get cashback at CVS.

          • becca1202

Oh, I'm jeaous. My 4/25 SS doesn't have Colgate coupons.

    • Kelly

Can anyone direct me to Food Lion Coupon policy so I can print it out? I can't find it on their website. Thank you!!!

      • Tiffany

There isn't one. I emailed them about it and they just sent me an email with some policies, but not an official policy. I would love to know if one even exists.

      • RobinB78

You have to talk to the store manager. The policies vary from store to store. My store takes one q per product except when it's a BOGO q or a $/multiple. They also only charge half for their BOGO sales, I'm not required to buy 2. If you have a halfway decent manager, he or she will even be willing to print you out a copy of their policy! :-)

    • S_Carolina_Girl

Random thought…I wonder if Food Lion will every start doubling coupons? They claim their prices are lower, but that is not always the case. I used to shop there all the time because it was the only grocery store where I lived. Now, I don't shop there at all, because I get much better deals at Publix or Harris Teeter. The coupon doubling totally makes up for differences in pricing.

      • Amy

I'm with you. Now I have Bi-Lo, Harris Teeter, and Lowes Foods nearby. I only stop into Food Lion for a good meat or produce deal. I just read an article in the paper about Food Lion's financial difficulties; they were blaming WalMart. Maybe if they surveyed their former loyal shoppers, they would realize it's the double (and sometimes triple) coupons that are hurting them, not to mention their lacking customer service. I love not having to load my groceries onto the conveyer belt anymore! I used to hate Harris Teeter, now I wonder how I lived without it all these years. HT's prices are higher without coupons, but with double coupons and their awesome customer service, they beat Food Lion and Walmart hands down.

      • Jenni

I have gotten a good relationship with the cashiers at my FL, and one of them told me that FL will start doing SOMEthing about doubling or tripling coupons in the future – much like how Bloom started off just doing triples once a month, and then several weeks in a row, and now they double all the time. We'll see!

      • beepampered

Food Lion has recently done a big promotion about lowering their prices. I think it was even posted on here. I also used to shop at Food Lion all the time but began to see that it wasn't always cheaper. I felt deceived. But the last few times I went their, the prices are noticeably less than they were.

      • RobinB78

I agree with all of you. But I have to admit, I love the Food Lion I go to. The management and staff actually go out of their way to make you happy, and really seem to genuinely care about the customers. I've also heard “hints” from management at my store that “something is in the works” on lowering prices even more. So we'll see if that translates to double/triple coupons.

The FL here is the only decent “civilian” grocery here. They're in competition with two military commissaries.(We have a Harris Teeter, but it's an hour away!!!) You really can't beat the prices at the commissary. I shop there for 85% of my stuff, only heading to FL now for certain deals, or when the commissary is closed! Hope they change something soon! I'd much prefer to shop there!!

    • Brittney

my question is if they don't double and Bloom has the suddenly salad for B1G1 and the coupon is $.40 which doubles at bloom but not food lion is it worth it even to go to bloom because I have no idea what the original price is at food lion.

    • Kayleigh

On the Charmin bath tissue, UPromise has a $.50 ecoupon to load on to you MVP card

    • Bridget

What do you think of the quality of the produce at Food Lion? I normally shop at Harris Teeter, but will occasionally stop by FL for deals on diapers, etc. The Charmin sale will make it worth my while to go there, and I was thinking about picking up some of the grapes at 99 cents a pound…but the only time I ever bought produce there, it turned out to be inedible. We got some perfectly fine looking bananas which were on the greenish side and had no bruising, but inside they were mush. I have never had that happen anywhere else that I have bought bananas, so it has made me wary of FL's produce dept. What do you all think? Thanks!

      • jacquelyn

grapes — so so. nothing like the grapes at our local fruit stand. apples aren't that delicious either. kroger has much better produce. so does ingles. my bananas have been fine from food lion. i guess you never know what that banana has been through before it gets put on the shelf!! :)

      • RobinB78

95% of the time I find FL's produce to be good. It's when your store starts putting things on “Manager's Special” for BOGO or dirt cheap that you have to worry! That's when it seems that have a ton of something that's about to go bad! Can't say I've ever had bad grapes from there, of course, I don't usually get many as my kids devour them the second they see them!! LOL

      • music88teach

I get their grapes every time they are 99 cents. Always good.

    • can you combine food lion coupon with manf coupon for same product?

      • denalowenberg

Yes, You are allowed one Store (FL) coupon and one Manf. Coupon for one item. It's called stacking, good luck.

    • Amanda Carnes

I went and got the Suddenly Salad pasta salad and it was BOGO for $2.07

    • GGood

Hey! If you had access to the Piggly Wiggly circular, the Dole salad mfr coupon in there was for .50/1. Since Dole salad is on sale at Food Lion this week for .78, that would make a bag of salad .28. Pretty good deal!

    • Paige_N

If you have gotten your P&G year of savings book there is a $1 off charmin in the Nov/Dec/Jan section and there are several $1 off Bounty coupons in there too. Would make a good match up with the Fri-Sun deals.

    • Sonya D

I can't get that Facebook $2.50 Stouffers coupon to show up, Maybe it's gone?

    • cindybarlowe

i can not find the Digorno pizza coupon at that link- even tried my zip code. can anyone help?

    • Kris Nash

Just went to the Food Lion in Ft. Oglethorpe, GA and got 4 Lunchables Sandwich items. After paying, the register printed out 4 $1 off of your next order coupons compliments of Lunchables! That makes the Lunchables 25 cents—so of course I went back for more, and 4 more printed out! My kids are definitely going to like this!

    • irmolees

Lunchables catalina! Run through 5/19 … get $ OYNO for every Lunchables Sub (without drink)!! So .. pair that with the $1 MQ from SS 3/21 .. MM!!! $1.25 each at my FL!

    • Andi

Palermo's Frozen Pizza is alsom BOGO, and there is a $1.00 off coupon if you visit palermospizza.com

    • 1MiniMom

Those of you hoping that Food Lion will start doubling coupons may get your wish. I found out yesterday that the Food Lion in Carrollton, GA will start doubling on Wednesday. This is not just a one week trial. They will continue to double as long as it works. The more we couponers shop there the better it works for them and for us. Pass it on.

      • Jill

According to the ad I just got that starts on the 19th they will be doublilng up to .60 cents everyday AND for a limited time they are accepting competitor's coupons and advertised prices. Can I just say WOW! This was the GA ad.

    • peaches27es

The FL in Fayeteville, GA gave DH a circular for the sale starting on 5/19-5/25
They will now DOUBLE coupons up to 60 cents everyday, FL will also honor all competitor's coupons the manager said Kroger, Publix, and Ingles. PLUS FL will match any Traditional Grocer's advertised price (no Super Target, Target or Walmart)
The fine print on the circular also states the price match and competitor coupon acceptance are for a limited time only!!!
We will see how this works???

      • Ash

That is phenomenal news…I live pretty close to that store and I really like it, but haven't been in as much simply because they didn't double coupons before. But now that they're doubling up to 60 cents they will be a real competitor to Publix! I find so many coupons that are for 55 cents off and would be such a great deal if they could be doubled, so this is wonderful! Absolutely made my Monday! I LOVE competition…it is so good for consumers, especially in this economy! Thanks for sharing!
