What are Catalinas??? I have seen this on here but have never been sure what it was.

      • Mandy

Catalinas are coupons that print with your receipt when you check out :)

      • Wmllewis

Catalinas are the coupons that print out of the machine after you pay for your order. They can be used on your next purchase. Hope that helps!

    • Emilyv

      OK thanks! That explains it,

    • Lanavdixon

The Spartanburg area ad has the ground beef for 1.37 and the whole chickens for 47 cents a pound.

      • Cindyrella

Wow! So glad you posted this. I just attended a “Freezer Meals Ideas” class last week, and am excited to have some cheap meat to work with!

      • Chrstyamyrs

Eastern N. Carolina also has those same prices as well. Super excited because DH has been wanting to cook a whole chicken for a while.

    • Jenni

NOT impressed with Food Lion lately. About 1 ad a month is worth getting excited about. And now they are starting a totally gimmicky scratch-off knock-off promotion instead of doubling coupons… *shakes head* That is NOT going to get them more of my business. In a tough economy, what did their promotions department come up with? “Let them scratch free lottery tickets!” It also, to me, says what they think of their customer base. (That we can't do math, and don't know that the statistical chances of winning anything big are almost zilch.)

      • Chrstyamyrs

I know what you mean! I changed how I do shopping so I can take advantage of every week sales and now I'm disappointed. I really wish mine doubled coupons. They would get a lot more of my business if they did.

      • No Fan of FL

I rarely ever shop at FL because their prices are not competitive with Publix & BiLo AND they won't double coupons. Considering all the time and effort I put into scavaging, print, clipping, sorting and maintaining my coupons, I would like to be able to reap the best benefit. I think their management team needs to take a handfull of coupons and try shopping at Publix (with a SoutherSaver shopping list of course) for a real eye opener. Then they could stop scratching their heads and figure out why they have such a small slice of the customer base.

    • Jessdare101

can you use a food lion internet printable with a manuf coupon?

      • Rhonda

        yes!

      • Seaside44

NO! I wish you could. At Harris Teeter they will let you use a store coupon and a manufacturers coupon, but not at FL

        • Meganclaycohen

ask your foodlion because every one says something different mine is awesome about coupons in union sc, you can stack manufacture with store!!!

      • Chrstyamyrs

From my experience I think it depends. I have 3 or 4 stores in my area and some are really good about coupons and the one I went to last week quizzed me on EVERY coupon I had.

    • Iheartlowprices

While you're in FL, remember to grab their blinkie coupons, which will double at Harris Teeter and others!! Although there seem to be fewer and fewer blinkies at FL!!

    • now if you busy 2 of those nabisco multi packs do you get 2 free caprisuns will you still get the $1 catalain oyno?

      • Chrstyamyrs

I'd really like to know this too!

        • Bholmes75

it was an error on the ad. they have me both for free so frustrating but I'm tempted to go to another store and do the same thing again.

          • Chrstyamyrs

I'm confused. What was an error in the ad? It sounds like from your reply that your FL gave you the Nabisco and Capri Sun for free.

            • Bholmes75

the ad says 6pack well caprisun doesn't make a 6count box only 10 count boxes and it doesn't make a 10 oz juice only 6oz juice. Also the ad doesn't state which ones count as the free and there was no sign up at the store stating which one was considered as the free one. So I just went up there with the 100% juice which is the one on the catalina deal. she said the ad was wrong and its too vague. I bought 2 nabisco singles cookies and 2 boxes of the caprisun juice 100%. she used rung it up and it didn't come up free so the manager agreed voided that capri sun wrong up the cheaper one so she basically gave me the 100% ones for free but I didn't get my catalina.

      • Mylexis

bought 2 nabisco multi packs (nutter butter and oreo 12 packs) and got 2 of the capri suns free, it did take off $2.07 for the 10 pack. there is no 6 pack

    • Also my sister in law pointed out that the caprisun most be a typo she's never seen caprisun come in a 6pack only 10 in a package.

    • Dizzy4coupons

Mine also has a $1.00 off of 2 Ronzoni Pasta Blinkie. These have been on sale for 1.00 a box recently.

      • kcreviews

They sure don't at my FL. Seems they hardly have any blinkies at all–I was just in there today.

    • Bholmes75

FYI Food lion got smart they finally put a sign up limiting the number of free caprisun. 1 free only per transaction. :( also I found some peelies with kraft coupons on the cheese and she instantly gave me those copouns on top of the coupons I already had so I bought 4 packages of shredded cheese, 1 sigles kraft cheese, 2 boxes nabisco oreos cookies singles serve and 1 box of caprisun for $17

    • kcreviews

My FL had the Bertolli frozen meals on sale, which would be good with the printable q's that came out recently. Also the TGIFriday frozen meals were on sale which is good with the $2 q that comes inside some packages.

    • Heather

FYI, everyone, I found Tummy Ticklers [the reusable sippy cup with apple juice] for $1.29 at my Food Lion yesterday [Hwy. 24, Anderson, SC]! They are normally $5-$6 for a 2-pack, but they had the larger 2-packs and smaller 8-packs for $1.29! They were not marked closeout or anything, this was the actual shelf price of the item. My store just got finished with inventory and apparently happened upon these somewhere in the inventory, and just put them on a shelf with the rest of the juice with a normal price tag. Also found $1.69 closeout GreenWorks laundry pre-treater, used $1/1 IP to make it $0.69. Tide stain lifter powder was on closeout at $3.88, used $3/1 from newspaper a few weeks ago and got them for $0.88. This stuff is great for my three-year-old's clothes!

      • Meganclaycohen

thank you for letting us know, I have already went to my fl and purchased 2, there are more but i didnt want to get greedy!!

      • Chrstyamyrs

Thanks! I'll have to look at mine this week. What's the expiration date on them. I don't need them right now, but will in about 2-3 months (little man isn't to juice quite yet) and at that price I might get them now.

    • Ginger

My Food Lion had Crystal Light Pure Fitness 2 for $5 yesterday. I used 2 $2/1 (from Vocalpoint sample) for final cost of $0.50 each!

    • Gael

Our FL doesn't have the 73% ground beef for 1.47, but it had 80% for 1.87. Peaches were also .79

    • Tanya W

I found at my local FL that they had Clean & Clear Makeup Dissolving Foaming Cleanser Oil-Free on close out for $2.99 and with the $2.00 off any Clean & Clear product(it is a printable I had from a CVS deal that fell a part) which makes it .99 cents each! I had 2 Q and get the lost 2 on the shelf.

And also they had the clean and clear blackhead eraser refills for 2.99 on close out these where still in with the things other clean and clear stuff along with the Clean & Clear Makeup Dissolving.
