    • I bought this same one on clearance at Kohl’s a few months ago, to use on my new zaycon chicken. It ROCKS! It took me a few tries to get used to it, and I did overheat it once – but I was processing 40lbs of chicken! I OVERHEATED lol! I totally recommend this one :)

Jenny, is this something you recommend?  Does it actually save money since it is so much more expensive than freezer bags?  I want to start freezing more things, and I’m looking for any tips you can give me.

      • Krittrgittr

I’m not Jenny, and I don’t have concrete dollars and cents to contribute to the conversation, but I can tell you I love mine.  What you are saving is not having to throw freezer-burned food away.  The foodsaver bags are much heavier than freezer bags, and by vacuuming out the air and then sealing, you virtually eliminate freezer-burn. We buy meat in bulk on sale and freeze in 2-person portions. Haven’t had to throw anything away since we started using the foodsaver.

          Thanks!

When you make a bag cut them larger then you actually need and you can reuse them
until the bag is too small to seal.

Could you please tell me -what- site is selling it for this? As is always my case, I only get error pages when I try to click on one of those “gibberish” links. I think my internet security software may be to blame, blocking cookies and such, but it doesn’t give me an option to allow the site, either.

      • Jenni P.

My SpyBot software appears to be the culprit. dpbvol and such redirecting sites are on it’s hit list, as they can be used by scammers and hackers and such. And I really don’t want to have to lower my internet security software’s efficacy just to be able to see this deal….

The link goes directly to http://www.foodsaver.com, then click on vacuum sealers.
