If you’ve been following Southern Savers for a while now, you know that I post this every Spring because I love getting Free Bowling for my children.  Here’s the breakdown:

One of my FAVORITE ways to keep my kids occupied and entertained is through the free bowling offered by many bowling alleys across the nation. We’ve participated at the alley near our house for the last few years and loved it.

The deal is that you get 2 Free Bowling Games per kid each day all summer! You can also grab a pass for up to 4 adults to play all summer for $24.99.

The only catch is that you still have to pay to rent shoes, which can be upwards of $4. I recommend actually purchasing bowling shoes; you can find them pretty cheap if you keep your eyes open (think ebay).

Even if you only go bowling 3 or 4 times this summer, you will get great savings and be entertained too!  Also remember that bumpers and a little ramp make it where most any age can play.

Get the details concerning dates and age limits depend on your bowling alley and find a participating bowling alley here.

Excellent promotion! There are only 5 centers participating in my state and none near me. =( Sad…

      • Kristie

        Same here!

        • ja

Yes, same here! So disappointed, love the idea.

I think our bowling alley did this last year. I hope they do it again.

    • MFamMom

Our family took advantage of this program last summer and had a great time! We found shoes for almost everyone on ebay (all new) then rented for the youngest who has forever growing feet. We paid a total of $100 for 6 pairs of bowling shoes including shipping and now have them already to take advantage of this summer for only $25 for the adults — a great air conditioned place to find refuge from the southern humidity!!!

I have 2 near me. I just registered for one and it said shoe rental is included :)

    • Shannon

how do you get the adult pass? i don't see it on their website. thanks so much!

      • Shon

I didnt see the Adult pass until after I'd added the kids. If this doesnt work then you may want to contact them. HTH

        • Shannon

          i don't have kids… lol

    • travelkitty70

North Carolina should be embarrased that they don't have any bowling alley's listed as participating.

      • Loretta

You might want to check again. Several cities in North Carolina have bowling alleys that are participating. We already signed our kids up.

    • Coupon Hottie

Darn, none near us :( Sugar Hill, GA.

      • YoYo

Decatur, GA is not too far to drive…., I think.

    • Glenhamill

I just don't feel comfortable putting information out there about my child, her age, etc. Does anyone else feel like this?

      • couponmama

I haven't signed up for this one, but I'm quite cautious online, esp. for my kids. That said, there are some things I'll sign up for- just don't want my kids on some “list”, being marketed to, etc. I guess the thing is, can anyone online access it, or is it just the site? It's not like a social site, right? As long as they're keeping it confidential, not sharing the info, it would probably be ok, in my opinion.

        • sue

I usually don't put down the real birth dates and I don't use full names. That's how I get around it.

    • Trdaniel07

okay just signed up for free bowling, the familypass is a great deal 24.95 covers 4 people. is that correct or is it for each person

      • Laurel

Correct. It covers 4 people. You have to include the names of the four people ahead of time…you cannot randomly invite someone spur-of-the-moment. I thought this was a great deal last year and I got it, but it mostly turned out to be just me bowling with my toddler. Because I had my own shoes, it was still a good deal. But there was really no one else who was available to come with us in the middle of the day on weekdays when we were going.

    • jam

This would be great if there was a participating bowling alley in my city :(

      • Jacketfan24

I agree…nothing listed in Greenville. Too bad, my son has been asking to go bowling and this looked great!
