With all the great deals at Publix this week, and the past fews at Kroger & Bi-Lo, it’s time to see how far you could stretch a gift card.

I am giving two lucky folks a $50 gift card to the Southern Savers grocery store of their choice.

The catch, the two winners will have to take a picture of their trips and report back (on Southern Savers) to tell us how much $50 actually bought them!!

It’s the first time I’ve made the winners work for their prize, but it makes it more fun for everyone.  This giveaway will go until Friday at noon.  You can enter two different ways:

  1. Comment below with what store you would want a gift card to, and how much in retail value you think you could get with $50.
  2. Blog or Twitter about the giveaway and then comment here letting me know you did.

Winners will be randomly choosen and will be emailed Friday afternoon.  If you have never left a comment on Southern Savers new comments are moderated and might not appear for a little while.

    • I would like a gift card to Publix, because the BOGO with coupon deals are amazing. I am new to couponing, and I know others could do a lot better, but I think I could buy $110 worth of groceries for $50.

    • bethany

I’d like one to Kroger – we unfortunately do not have a publix!

      I think I could get $120.00 for 50 bucks :)

    • Rochelle

It would have to be Publix. They are my weekly stock-up stop and my husband never ceases to be amazed at all my savings! I’m sure I could stretch $50 into $135. I would LOVE the challenge! :)

    • Laura F

WOOOO!!! Jenny this is EXCITING!!! I would like to use it at Kroger because that is the only grocer we have in my town (other than Brookshires and they dont have much when it comes to deals). I KNOW that I could get $150 for $50… I might even go as far as to say I could get $200!!!!!! I love a challenge!!! LOL

    • Jenny, I would LOVE to win a Publix gift card. I am sure that I could get at least 125.00 with it-I’ve done that before thanks to your site!! During these uncertain times, saving money has become a must for our family. We are terrified that my husband will lose his job because he is in the construction industry and that is slowing way down. So I have been learning to play the coupon game, stocking up on food and necessities for my family. At the same time, my couponing friend and I have decided that with all the money we’ve saved, we should give back as much as possible so we have started purchasing extra stuff to donate to the local food bank. If I win the card, I promise to donate back half of what I purchase to them!

    • Kelli

Oh! It’s so hard to choose. I did my grocery shopping at Publix for the very first time last week and I loved it. But I normally shop at Kroger. Plus Kroger offers 10 cents off your fuel purchase with every 100 dollars you purchase in groceries.

So I think I’ll choose Kroger!

    • Kelli

Ooops…forgot to say how much I think I would save!

I think I could buy $125 worth of groceries for $50!

    • Amanda

Well, I only have a publix close by me. So, I choose publix. I have been using coupons here and there for awhile, but I am new to the major couponing. I Got $50 worth of Groceries this week for $15 so I am ready for the challege. It is so exciting that my daughter is now envolved in helping me find deals. It is like a game to her, but it will teach her life long lessons.

    • I love Publix and I think I could get $150 worth of groceries because I have a few other tricks I use besides buying the BOGO’s. Thanks for doing this Carrie!

    • crystal

I would love a Publix gift card, but since there is only Kroger near me now, I’d have to pick Kroger. I’m really new to the whole couponing and really stretching game, but I could probably get $100 for my $50 card.

    • I would love a gift card to either store, as I regularly shop them both and do well at either place. My regular savings at either store is around 75%. Drop by my blog to see how I purchased $120 worth of goods for the local food pantry for just .20

    • I definitely would take a Publix gift card.

For $50 I think I could get $110 worth of groceries.

Thanks for the giveaway and the creative way to use the cards! How fun!

    • Ami

Jenny, I would love to win a gift card to Publix. I went for the first time last week with a friend and we got over $200 worth of products for $52 each. It was so much fun. I know I could get at least $125 worth of stuff for $50. Thanks for all the deals!

    • Alana

I’d love to try and stretch the $50 gift card to $140 at Publix. I am new to all of this but I did REALLY good last week! I’ve even got my mom into trying coupons and that was a major feat in itself! Pick me, pick me!!!

    • Tracy

I would want a gift card to Kroger (we don’t have Publix). Wow, I don’t know how much I could get… I’m still learning, but I think I could at least double the value and get $100 worth or groceries. Everyone else is saying higher numbers but I don’t know if I’m that brave :) I’d be embarrassed if I said too high and couldn’t do it! LOL But I’d love the chance to try and see how high I could get!

    • Tracy

And by the way, your website has been really helpful to me. Thanks :)

    • Elizabeth Whitehill

      Hi!!! Great Giveaway!!

I would love 50$$ for Publix!! I would guess I could get 135$ worth of groceries for 50 bucks! Thanks for the chance to win!

Thanks also for all the hard work you do, makes my life SO much better!

    • Andrea

      I would love to try it at Publix. I think I could get atleast $150 for $50. I think…I think… :-)

    • I would love a Publix gift card since Kroger can’t compare to the B1G1 with some more off with coupons at Kroger. My first time couponing at Publix 2 weeks ago netted me $80 in groceries for $30 – WOOHOO (all thanks to Southern Savers)!!!

So I think I’ll be wild and say I can net $120 worth of groceries with my soon to be acquired $50 giftcard (fingers crossed).

    • Krysia

My store would definitely be Publix. I’d definitely be willing to venture and say that I could EASILY purchase OVER $250 worth of groceries for $50.

I just went to Publix today at lunch and purchased over $84 worth of merchandise and only spent $10.66.

So a $50 gift card would easily buy at least $250-$300 worth of groceries!!!

    • I would want a gift card to Publix. With the BOGO deals, I have been getting some insanely cheap groceries- I can’t even imagine how far $50 would go!! I bet I could get at the very least $150 retail value… probably more, since I use your website!

    • Shannon

      PUBLIX!!!!!!

Picked up $160 for $54 last night so I’m going to have to say I could shoot for $150 in merchandise with my $50 giftcard….gotta love a challenge!!!!!

    • Jonathan

I would like a gift card to Kroger. I think I could get at least $130.00 for the $50.00. Depends on how many free items are going on that week!

    • I would love to have a Kroger. I know that I could get a ton of groceries for $50.00. Just check out my blog, last week I got over $200 worth for around $55. My second choice would be a Publix card as I shop there a ton too!

    • Kabba

First let me say this website has saved my family so much and kept us afloat during very difficult times! There have been weeks that without your site teaching us how to use the coupons, I don’t think I would have gotten much of anything at the store.

Well, one of my best shopping trips was to PUBLIX! I spent about 28.00 for almost 90.00 worth of food! So, I can honestly say that a 50.00 gift card would be soo very helpful and appreciated! I think with 50.00 I could easily get about 150.00 worth of groceries!!

Either way, for what you do , thanks a million! :)

    • I would LOVE a card to Publix. we have a new one in town and I hear the deals are amazing. I am BRAND NEW to couponing (as in, still getting my coupons organized and matching them to current sales) and I have not had my first trip yet…so I would aspire to double my money with a $50 card.

      Here’s hoping!!

      (I’ll twitter this giveaway too)

    • Michelle H.

I’m a Kroger shopper and would love the chance to see how far I could stretch a gift card! I’m sure I could get at least double the value, better if they have another mega deal week.

    • Lisa

What a fun giveaway!!!! I definitely think I could do better at Publix. I would think I could do $175-200 with a $50 gift card. I never have that much to spend in one sitting so I’m not sure!!!!

Love this site– just was told about it!!! It is awesome!

      Lisa

    • I would love a giftcard to Publix! I think I could get about $130 worth of groceries there. That is about my average. I am still fairly new to the strategic shopping game, but I am so thankful that I have come across your website & others like it. Please keep doing what you do & realize that you are being a blessing to many families.
      Warmly,
      Amy

    • Heidi

I would love a giftcard for Publix!!! I continue to be amazed at the great deals I find there almost every week! Not to mention the great quality of produce and meats! I think I could get $120 worth of groceries for $50. My husband would be so happy if I won!!

    • Jackie

I love this website and have saved so much $ since first discovering it! Thank you for all your hard work.

I would love a $50 gift certificate to Publix because of their fabulous B1G1 deals. I feel that I could probably get almost 3 times the value ($150). At least I would sure love to try!

    • pamela

I would like to win a gift card to kroger. I think that i can easily get 150.00 dollars worth of grocerys if not more. Thanks so much for everything you do.

      Pamela

    • pamela

i placed a blog on my myspace…thanks again

    • keri

Publix, please. I’m guessing I could do $125 retail (of stuff I actually want and use!).

    • heather

All I have is a Kroger’s, so I guess Kroger’s for me! I am so impressed with all of these people’s big goals, but I think for me I have been averaging about 60% off, so I would say $110 of groceries for $50.00….. (That is only because I would get a lot of help from sites like yours!!!)

    • Min

I would say I could spend at least 100 dollars at Publix with the fifty dollar gift card!

    • Emily

I think I could probably stretch $50 to at least $150 at Publix with their sales and coupons, maybe more! Thanks for all your work!

    • Jeannie

Wow, what a neat prize! I think I could get $175-$200 worth of stuff with a $50 card, depending on available q’s and sales.
      Neat opportunity!
      Jeannie

    • I would so love a Publix card. I bet I could do $150 – $160. However, I KNOW that my friend Kelly (the-websters.blogspot.com) could probably do $200 or more and only pay $50 OOP. She’s crazy awesome with the coupons.

    • Julia

I would love to get a $50 giftcard to Publix, my new store of choice. Based on current savings, I would estimate that I could get $200 worth of groceries. Thanks for your site – it is Coupa-licious!

    • Jeannie

And I would pick Publix. Sorry I left out my store choice!

    • Mandy

I would love to win a gift card to BiLo. If the pattern of the last several weeks holds, I think I could get $150 worth for just $50. What a great giveaway!!!

    • Laura

Jenny, thanks for such an awesome resource. I would love a giftcard to Publix! I think if I tried really hard, I could triple that $50! I did it this week when I spent $27 and saved $58! Couldn’t have done it without you!

    • Megan

I would choose a gift card to Publix. With the BOGO deals and coupons I think I could buy $120 worth of groceries for $50.

    • wendy

I have to say I LOVE your website! Thanks for all the work you put into it.

A Kroger gift card would make my day!
I could get $150 worth of groceries with it.

    • MICHELLE

I think I could use a $50.00 gift card to Farm Fresh with their everyday double coupons up to .99 cent. And with that $50.00, I believe I could buy $130.00 worth of groceries.

    • Stacy

I would like a $50 gift card to Publix. I am sure I would be able to make this card stretch very very far, especially with the great deals Publix has had lately. I have started shopping there more and more. I think I could easily get $200+ worth of groceries for $50. (I spent $4.98 yesterday and got $64 worth of groceries).
      Awesome contest!!! Thanks!!

    • Janelle Austin

Thanks for the chance! I would love a gift card to Publix! I think I could stretch the $50 to $115.

    • Dana

I just found this site today from http://www.mytotalmoneymakeover.com. thanks for doing this. I recently spent $50 at Krogers on $90 worth of items! So I bet I could make that closer to $100 using coupons especially if I don’t have to spend it all in one trip. Kroger’s is my choice.

      thanks.

    • Janet

I LOVE Publix!!!! I would love a gift card! I believe that I could get $125.00 of groveries with $50. I love that they take Rite Aid 5 off 25 coupon and allow stacking! I always safe big there! Thanks for such a great site!

    • Cassandra

I heart Publix! I always love to watch my totals go down after the coupons (and so does the cashier)! I think I could do $110.00 for $50 – what a great challenge!

    • Wow – what a generous giveaway! I’d like to try and make $50 buy $130 worth at Kroger – with the right combo of e-coupons, sales, inserts, and printables, maybe I could do it (with a lot of help from your site, of course!!)

    • I twittered you: Win $50 to spend on groceries here: http://tinyurl.com/bqwt2o
less than a minute ago from web

    • April

We have Bi-Lo’s and Food Lions in Charlotte. I have to say, I’ve hardly set foot in them until I found this site. Now I’ve been going to Bi-Lo and getting some really great deals. Still haven’t found much reason to get into Food Lion yet, maybe one day. So I’d like a Bi-Lo card.

    • Rachel

Would love to have a Publix one! I generally get $150 for about $50, but I do love the challenge. Jenny you are a household name in Charleston. My mommy group loves to talk about your deals! Thanks!

    • Amanda

I’d love to win a gift card to Publix. I shop there weekly. I believe I could get at least $120 worth out of the $50 card!

    • Shannon

I’d choose Publix. If I had 2 weeks to break up the shopping, I could probably pull out $140 ish worth.. But for a 1 time shop at least $100 – $125. That’s been about my average.

    • Nancy Anne

I Love this site and I love saving money!!! I actually posted on my facebook update yestersay that I was so excited that I spent $34 on $114 worth of groceries at Publix…It is actually $24 because I still get my $10 gift card for the Green Giant deals. The gift card I will need is for Publix. That is the only grocery store your site covers here in Tallahassee. I think that I could get $150 groceries for $50…..Depending on the week since we only have Publix for the deals. Thank you for all of you do!!!

    • Chris in TN

My choice would have to be Krogers since they are the only grocery store in my area that doubles coupons. I’d say I could get about $100 worth of groceries for $50. I think I would be hard pressed to spend $50 in a single visit though. Would be great to give it a try! =)

Thanks for offering such a GREAT GIVEAWAY!!!

    • Beth

      Jenny,
I’m new to couponing and am loving the challenge of how much I can save, thanks to your hard work. I would love the opportunity to shop, on your dime, and see how much I could get. My first shopping trip I save 40% and was stoked! And I surprised my husband with my savings too! I think I could get $130 out of the $50 card and I’d choose publix because of their BOGO sales plus coupons. I’d love this chance to really show my somewhat doubting husband what I can do from what I’ve learned from you! Thanks!

    • Melanie

I would love a Publix card! I think I could get $125 for $50! I shopped the Southern Savers way at Publix for the first time this week and saved $98 off of $180 in groceries! And I haven’t stocked up on everything yet, so I had alot of “must haves”.

    • Andrea

I would love a $50 gift card to Kroger and I think I could get $130 with that -Thank you so much for this opportunity! Love your site!

    • I’d like a Publix gift card and think I could get about $110 worth of food with it.

    • I would take one for Food Lion. Unfortunately, I could not score the deals like others do at Publix or Kroger, but I could probably get $75 worth of stuff and if I really, really, really tried might make it to about $85 or $90. What a great giveaway!
      Thanks.

    • Julie

I wish we had a Publix or Kroger. All I have Pick n Save. I think I could probably get about $100 worth of stuff. Pick n Save only Doubles on Wednesday’s and only the first 5 coupons with a minimum order of $25.

    • Kathy

I would spend the $50 at Publix and could probably receive $175 worth of groceries and household goods. And I would have fun doing it!

    • I would love to win a Publix gift card! I think I could get $110 with it. Thanks for the chance to win!

    • liberty

I would use the gift card at Publix. I am pretty sure I could get at least $175- $200 in groceries with it. I typically spend about $25 a week at Publix and get about $75 -$100 worth of groceries. It depends on the week though. Thanks,

    • Cathy

      Jenny, this is so nice!!!
I would love a Publix card and I could probably swing about $110 in groceries for $50:)Thanks again!

    • Kelly

Well, I would definitely use the gift card @ Publix since my dollar stretches so much farther there. I am guessing that I could get at least $225 worth of groceries with a $50 Publix Gift Card. I would be happy to provide a picture!

    • This is such a fun giveaway! I would love to take on this challenge! I would chose Publix and I think I could get around $125 worth of groceries for $50.

    • Sherry

I would love a gift card to Publix! I am going to be conservative, and say I can get close to $100 worth of groceries with $50.

    • Charlene

I would love to win a gift card for Publix! I know I could get at least $135 worth for $50…getting the deals is so fun! Not only am I saving money but for me it is a competition. I get such a thrill when I see how much I can stretch a dollar and the freebies are the best!

    • Jilana Bond

I would certainly go to PUBLIX. I stopped by last night for the penny item and since I was going anyway I got more coupons for the items on sale. I got $67 worth for less than $10. The cashier was excited and the girl bagging said how did you do that? I started telling them all about the SOUTHER SAVERS website and I started to walk away and they said wait…we have to write that down. It is not only saving my family money but there is more food in our house right now than I can remember. With three growing boys that eat all the time and two girls that open the fridge about every 20 minutes it is not easy keeping food. There is always the last 3 or 4 days before payday when there is nothing to snack on and it breaks my heart to say sorry guys I can’t get anything else until Friday. I feel like we are eating like kings. Thank you so much.

    • Hannah

WOW! There’s a lot of posts here! I think could turn the $50 into at least $120 at Publix. Jenny, thanks for all the work you do each week and the chance to win the card! Wednesday is my new favorite day of the week!

    • Allison

First time to post. I love reading your website and use it weekly to help buy my groceries. Thanks for your hard work!

We only have Kroger here, so I’d use my gift card there. I am new to couponing, so I don’t want to be too ambitious, and it depends on how good the sales are, but I would hope to be able to buy $100 worth!

      Thanks!

    • Jilana Bond

Sorry I also forgot to say how much I thought I could get for $50. The way this week worked out at Publix I think I could easily get $130.

      Jilana

    • Jill

What a great idea – I love a challenge & I love Publix – I would definitely want a gift card there. I think I could get at least $200 worth of groceries with a $50 gift card.

    • Katy

Hi! I’m new to couponing, so I probably can’t do as well as some of you pros…but with the B1G1, I think I could get $100 of groceries at Publix. Thanks for the chance!

    • Katie

Either store will work for me. Never turn away from free money to save more money for my family of six.
I dont pay retail for anything anymore. Not sure how much I can turn the $50 card into but up to the challenge..
Love it when the cashier says you owe Cents for 10 bag of groceries…

Thanks for all that you do!!!

    • Wow! How Awesome . . I would think that for $50 I could easily get at least $200 in products at Publix.

    • annie avery

      {{ southernsavers.com $50 giveaway to supermarket of choice; the catch, take pictures of what you purchased, check it out, cool blog for coupon less than 5 seconds ago}}

    • Michelle

Publix would be my first choice. Because of your webite I am saving anywhere from $17-30 everytime I shop. I am slowly stockpiling which actually makes me feel pretty good since the economy is so ummmm moody :)
Thanks for taking the time to share. I actully now have friend and coworkes coming to me for saving suggestion!

    • Lane

I am in love with Publix! As I am improving and after I attend your workshop this weekend, I imagine I can realize close to 70% or better savings, so for a $50 gift card that would be around $167 worth of retail goods. Bring on the challenge! (And thanks so much for all you do, Jenny!)

    • Lauren

Publix! I typically save the same amount that I spend. I could stretch that $50 to $100. Right now, it might be difficult as I have been limited to unprocessed foods and meets for a period of time, but I could stock on a lots of BOGOs for charity. How fun!

    • I would love to win a Kroger gift card. It’s the only store in my neck of the woods that has double coupons. I could see that $50 turning into at least $120 for certain. Count me in!!!

    • Christo

Publix! Publix! Publix! Did great this past week with the Viva Italian Sale – they paid me $0.57 to take those 20 items off their hands! I think I could get $130+ of groceries with a $50 gift card.

    • Emily

Publix would be my pick. I love their BOGO’s! I’m new to the couponing and sticking to a grocery budget, so getting $90-$100 of groceries for $50 would be a big challenge for me, but I would love to try!!

    • Gini

Definately Publix. I know I could stretch it to $100, possibly $150.
      Thanks!

    • Kelly-Marie

I would love a gift card to publix, food lion, or bi-lo. I think I could strech the gift card to get about $95.00 worth of groceries. Not as well as most but I’m a newbie. I started two weeks ago. Thanks for reading! Your awesome!

    • Amanda

I would love a gift card to publix, I could get about 150.00 worthh with a $50.00 gift card.

    • Would love to use the gift card at Kroger! I have been averaging about 75% savings there in the last couple weeks, so I think I could at least do that!!

    • Gwen

Jenny, what a GREAT challenge. I would love to have $50 to spend at Publix. I am relatively new at this, but I am having a blast seeing how much I can save on EVERY trip to the store. I’ve even got my husband on board. My girls (6 & 7) are becoming quite the coupon sighters at the store, in the mail, etc. They have even found a few in the parking lot that I guess got blown away. If we go out for dinner, the first thing they ask is, “What coupons do you have, Mommy?” Future savers are in the make. I bet I could save at least $140-$155 and would love to post the pictures and story. I will be in your class this Saturday and I am bringing a couple of friends that I have been sharing my saving stories. I’m a coupon clipping fool!!!

    • Courtney Fuller

Publix of course…. are there other stores???? I think I could get $120 worth of groceries with a $50 gift card!

    • Jen

I’m going to go crazy and say I could spend $80 with a $50 card. I would love to use this at our local Food Lion!!

    • Beth

I’d choose Publix and would guess I could get around $110 in groceries. I end up buying a lot of organic food for my family, so I never save nearly as much as other folks. I do love the Mambo Sprouts coupon books as well as the Stonyfield coupon links.

    • Kristie

I could get at least $150.00 for $50, even more I bet! I’d love a gift card to Publix to show you what I could do!

    • Jennifer

Wow! Super giveaway! My choice would be for a Publix giftcard. I think with $50, I could get aound $120 in groceries.

      Thanks!

    • We don’t have any of your grocery stores here in OK:( But, if I could get a gift card to CVS or Walgreens, I know I could do some major shopping, easily $200 worth of retail for $50 oop!

Hi there! I would LOVE a Publix one! I think I could get $105 worth of groceries for $50.00.
Still relatively new to the coupon thing but I get better and better every week! Thanks!

    • Miao

Thank you for doing this! I live in south Florida and I don’t have kroger here, so it has to be Publix. I would love to try kroger one day. Since I am still new to the couponing, 50% savings will make me very happy, so I will say $100 worth of groceries for $50. Hopefully with your help and all the smart ladies out there, I will increase my savings soon.

    • I would love a $50 giftcard to Kroger! With a good sale, I could probably get around $100 worth of groceries with it! Thanks!

    • Tina

My first choice would be Publix. I have paid $2 for about $50 of goods before with the BOGO and $5/50 coupon. So If I can do that, I might be able to get a $1000 worth! My 2nd choice would be CVS

      Thansk

    • Jamie

WoW!! I could get $100 easily at Publix. Thanks for all you do!! I am new to couponing and your blog makes it so easy!! Please pick me!!

    • Alisha

I would choose Publix. I think I could get at least $100 worth of groceries for $50!!

    • Publix. I generally shoot for getting my groceries for 80% to 90% off normal prices. We spend $10 to $15 a week for groceries, so I could make this go a LONG way! (But then again, I might be tempted to go a bit more gourmet…)

    • amy

i’d love to win a GC to Kroger (we don’t have Publix here), and I think I could get $150 worth of groceries for it.

    • I would love a $50.00 gift card to Publix. I am pretty certian I could get $150.00 worth of groceries and might even be able to get more. I love a good challenge!! I have also posted about your Awesome Giveaway!!

    • Hi, first off, let me thank you for such an awesome giveaway, the thoughts of getting a 50.00 gift card to my fav store (kroger) is just awesome, Hope I win. I have been known in the past to get between 110-150 worth of groceries for 45-50 bucks, so with coupons and the right deals, I think I could really do some much needed stockpiling for my home with that 50.00. Please Count me in on this giveaway!!

    • I’d like one for Kroger. Between sales, coupons, Cellfire, Shortcuts – depending on what I buy, I might be able to stretch it to $150-$200 (not on one trip).

    • Lisa

With a Farm Fresh card I could easily get $175-$200 worth of groceries for $50. There is no Publix in my area and the Kroger here doesn’t take ips, but I could probably get $100 worth at Kroger.

    • I just blogged about your giveaway on my website HERE again, thanks for this awesome giveaway!!

    • Lana

Love to win a gift card to Publix, my favorite store. I have been regularly saving 65-75% so I believe I could buy $150 to $200 with a $50 card. Can’t wait til tommorrow when all the new ads and goodies come out!

    • Would LOVE a gift card to Publix…that’s my favorite grocery store, especially since I’ve started using your lists. I could buy well over $100 worth of groceries with a $50 card. I spent $31 yesterday for $96 worth and that was with buying some specialty lactose-free stuff.
Thanks for all you do and for offering this challenge!

    • Shannon

This is a great idea! I’d use the $50 at Publix. I think I could get at least $150 – $200 of retail value out of $50. I’ve posted the giveaway information on my myspace and facebook as a bulletin and a note respectively. Good luck to all!!!!

    • Publix is where I would spend a $50 GC. I get the most bang for my buck when I shop there and my cashiers are always a pleasure.

    • Ashley

I don’t have any of those, but if you would consider HEB, I’m sure I could get at least $100 for $50

    • I tweeted about your giveaway and I would probably be able to get around $150-$199 worth of items for $50

      my twitter info is

      @proverbswife

    • I also blogged about your giveaway here. This is an awesome giveaway! I’m sure you can’t wait to see how the winners will spend their gift card!

    • ayeshia

Even though I shop at Kroger a lot, I would have to say Publix because not only do they double they take competitor q’s. I could easily buy $100+ worth of groceries.

    • Jenny I would love a gift card to Publix. With $50 there I feel certain I could make it stretch to $150, perhaps even $175 if I manage my coupons well enough! Thanks for such a wonderful challenge.

    • Terri

Thanks for adding some excitement to my efforts to save as much money as possible. I usually save from 66-80% on my groceries at PUBLIX so I could use the $50.00 gift card to buy about $200.00 worth of groceries, and drive the person behind me mad when I pull out all of my coupons! LOL!

    • Mandi

I used to match up the deals and coupons on my own, but now I’m hooked on this site that does all the work for me. Thank you! I would love a $50 gift card to Publix and based on previous totals I would say I could get $240 worth of groceries.

    • Jennifer

Love my Publix and I am thinking I could stretch that $50 to $125 or so..

    • Tammy

Hi, first I just want to say that I really love your blog and look forward to each posting that you make. I just started couponing about 2 months ago and still amaze myself at how much I can save. Why didn’t I know about this years ago lol. As for your grocery card giveaway I would love one from Publix, my all time favorite grocery store. I think that I could possibly make that 50.00 card into about 175.00 worth of groceries if I plan it right, maybe more if I’m really good :) Thanks again for sharing your wonderful blog with us all.

    • I would love a card to Publix. New Couponer,,,but just had my best trip yet to Publix. Got $118 for $56. I’m hooked, I look at it as my second job – – on my way to being debt free! and boy do coupons help to save. I love southernsavers, telling all my friends.

    • kris

I think I could easily get $125 out of a $50 Publix gift card… I’d love to try, anyway!

    • Kristine M

I would like a GC to Krogers because I love finding deals w/ the 10 for $10’s. I use Mnfr, Kroger, Cellfire, and Shortcuts to get the best deals. Thanks for a great giveaway to challenge us to “stretch our buck”.

    • Kim

I would love it to Publix! They always have great BOGO deals that always have coupon match-ups! The Publix by me is always great with coupons, rain checks and etc! I think I could get at least $100 to $125 for $50 depending on the sales this week!

    • I blogged about your giveaway here. Thanks for such an awesome giveaway. I’m sure you can’t wait to see how they cards are stretched!

    • Elizabeth

I would love agift card for Publix. I think I could easily get $100 for $50, possibly much more depending on the sales! Thanks for the chance to win!

    • I Twittered (@leliakate) about this contest – such a good challenge! I would absolutely use the money at Publix. I’m new to couponing but am loving it. Without much background on this sort of thing, I’d have to guess I could get about $100 worth of groceries for the $50 coupon. Thanks!

    • Joy

I would love a Publix gift card! Lately I’ve had several trips to Publix saving 70-80%, so I think I could turn $50 in at least $150 or maybe even $200. Thanks for the chance to win.

    • Publix
I bet I could get $117.52 of groceries with a $50 gift card

    • Rhonda

Considering I have been saving an average of 60-70% thanks to tips from your blog, I think I could easily get $125 or more from a $50 PUBLIX gift card! Thanks so much for the chance at winning!

    • leigh

I would love a Kroger gift card. I am new to couponing and only have a few weeks worth of inserts but I think I could get at least $100 worth for $50. The most I have saved so far is 76% and all thanks to you!

    • I would love a gift card for Publix! Since I am new to couponing (as in not quite 2 months into doing this) I probably couldn’t stretch the money quite as far as some seasoned pros. That being said, I feel like I could turn $50 into $100. I would love the challenge!

    • Fern

      Gift card to Publix please!!!
Even though I live in Florida I know I can squeeze $100 from the $50.
Thanks for the chance to win.

    • Renee

I would love to have a kroger gift card and could probably get at least $105 for $50.

thank you for the opportunity and all the money savings you give us all.

    • hi Jenny, what a great giveaway!! I would most definitely choose Publix, and I say I could get 150 for 50.

Thanks for stopping by my blog the other day. Your site has been such a lifesaver. I was becoming very frustrated with the sites that I was previously using, and a friend mentioned yours. It is now my go to site before I do my grocery shopping each week. Thanks for all that you do!

    • Katie

I would LOVE a giftcard to Publix or Kroger. Judging from my past experiences, I could probably get about $200+ with the $50 giftcard. I usually spend about $20/week at Publix (savings of at least $70) and about $40/week at Kroger (savings of at least $70). Thanks for all the help you are giving me in saving so much each week!

    • I would love this challenge. Kroger is my store of choice. I am relatively new to gazelle couponing, but I think that I could get $120 worth of groceries for the $50.

    • Amy

I would love a giftcard to Kroger. I could probably get $100 of items with the $50 card. Thanks!

    • Julie

I’m new to couponing, but I’ve used your site to help me shop at Publix for the past two weeks. I’m hooked! I’d love a Publix gift card…I think I could stretch it to $120.

    • I would love to have a Publix giftcard. I’m sure I could get at least $90 retail, probably more with a $50 giftcard.

    • I would LOVE a giftcard to Food Lion. It’s the closest store to me without having to drive 20 miles. Since Food Lion doesn’t double coupons, my average grocery trips net savings of about 40%. However, this week I was able to buy $98 worth of groceries for $48. Not bad for a store that doesn’t double coupons and for a trip where 1/3 of my groceries had to be bought at more than rock bottom prices.

    • Amy

I would love a giftcard for Publix. I am new to all of the savings but i think I could $100 for $50 (maybe more).

    • Kroger! I would love one to Kroger!

    • Jennifer (palmettosweetheart)

I think I can get $130 and would love to challenge myself at Publix. I am still new to couponing and have been challenging myself each week. I have to check your site several times a day and DH is always asking me what is on sale. LOL

    • CA

I would love a chance at the gift card but am so new to this endeavor that I have no idea how I’d do. I was able to buy $236 worth for $133 at Publix the 2nd time I attempted couponing. Overall this month, I saved about 40% on our usual grocery bill. I’d hope I get better each time and would love to come home w/ $150 for the $50 g/c! Thanks for all you guys are doing to enable us to be wiser stewards for our families’ sakes!

    • I would pick Kroger next week b/c it’s Senior Discount week. Between that can coupons I think I could easily get at least $150 worth of Groceries for $50.

    • Shawn Lopez

This is such a great giveaway! I live in the land of Wal Mart and do not have any of the great chain stores in my area. I would love a gift card to Harp’s but would gladly take a Wal Mart.

      Thanks again

    • Deborah

I would love a Publix gift card! I think I could get $150-$200 worth using a $50 gift card. Thanks for this site and for this contest!

    • I would love to have a $50 gift card to Kroger….No Publix here :(
I have only been coupon clipping for about 2 months, but I have learned so much from people like you! I get so excited planning my shopping trip each week and I know I could really stretch a $50 gift card a long ways!

    • Stephanie M.

Wow, I would love to have a Kroger card… I think for $50 I could get at LEAST $150 in product!!!

      :)

    • Doug

Wow, we could really use it! We are very new to the coupon thing.
We went to Publix last Friday and Saturday and saved over 50% each time. I’m actually the one getting my wife to understand how this really does work and how it will help us save money in a big way.
It’s going to improve our lives dramatically.
Thanks so much for the opportunity!

    • It would have to be Publix! I just got about $160.00 for $40 by using some good coupons with the BOGO and a couple Publix coupons. I’m pretty sure I could easily get $150 for $50 with the right match-ups.

    • Cathy

I would use it at Kroger. I can always manage to save at least 65% there, so I know I could get a lot with $50.

    • Jennifer

Food Lion would be a great place to face your challenge! I think I’d try my very best to get at least $150 worth for the $50 giftcard!

    • Jenny

Definately Publix! I live in Batesburg-Leesville and don’t go to Publix often, so it would be a treat!! I’d probably say, since I don’t “do” Publix often, I’d probably get about $102 worth of groceries, due to my not going there often! Great giveaway!

    • Carmen

I would love a gift card to Publix. I think I could buy over $100 worth. Maybe more!

    • laura519

I love our Kroger and could easily get $120 out of the $50 gift card… if not more!! Thank you so much for all that you do! :)

    • I think I would choose Publix! I have been getting wonderfu deals there lately. I think I could get $75-100 with my giftcard!

    • ashley

i would use the gift certificate at publix–the store’s coupon policy helps me save so much money! i could probably eek out $75 worth of groceries with the certificate. we eat mostly produce in our vegan home, so i have a harder time find coupons for many of the things i buy on a weekly basis. thanks!

    • Dawn

Publix is where I would use it! A $50 giftcard would buy me $150 in groceries there!

    • Joy Gleason

YAY!!! I love going to Publix. Such a great place for great products at great deals.

    • John

LOOK!!!! I appear to be the only male on this site. I just started couponing and I am completely addicted. This really consumes a lot of my time. I went to Publix this week and saved $35 on my entire purchase. I have only been couponing for a week and I think that is AWESOME!! I would love to have a gift card to Publix!!!!! I love that store but can not afford to shop their unless i coupon. I LOVE YOU SOUTHERN SAVERS!!!!!!!

    • Betsy

A prize with a twist…I like it! I would use the gift card at Publix and while I am not sure how much it would buy me, I am guessing it would be well over $100! But give me the chance and I would work hard to make the most of it:) Thanks sooo much!!

    • I would definitely choose Publix!
      This is a GREAT giveaway!

    • When I win :) I’ll use the gift card at Publix! I’m still learning (from you!) but I’m sure I could turn the $50 into at least $100 of groceries… maybe more if I can hit a good sale week!

    • rachel

      Wow-

I would gladly shop at either Publix or Bilo as those are my usual stops, depending on the sales that week!!!! Boy $50 is my weekly alotment for my family so that would be an incredible gift! I am running low on meats and fruit, and I would definetly stockpile any deals I can’t pass up! Thanks so much for all you do! -Rachel

    • sarah

    • Erin

Publix! I did awesome there today thanks to your help!!

    • Erin

Whoops! I forgot to mention how much I could get with $50. Well, today I got $130 for $51. I would have saved more but the salmon they were cooking at the front tasted so good I had to make it for my husband! Plus my little one loves advocados so I splurged!

    • Kate

I would like to get the Kroger gift card. I think I could get at least $110.00 worth for the $50.00 card.

    • betsy

i would love a publix gift card. i would aim for $125 for $50.

    • Rachel

I would like a gift card to Publix. I love the shopping environment there and the deals! I want to take this opportunity to thank you, you are quite gifted…not that I am sucking up so you will pick me!! I have told many, many people about this site and they are so amazed by it and love that it is free! Thanks again–
      Rachel

    • kym

I wrote a long comment and my internet stopped! I am in Western North Carolina and new to the coupon deals…I have started reading your site almost daily! Thanks for helping people like me, I need to learn to do this, but it is not a natural thing! I will shop at any of the stores I have and work really hard to up my purchase power! • Trish

I would love to have a gift card to Ingles. Overall, they have the best prices in town and always offer double coupons each week. I’m new to couponing but am really enjoying learning! I think I could get $100 using coupons, sales, and the gift card.

    • Kathy

I would love a card to Publix. Since I’ve found your site I average about 67% savings every week. I think I could get about $160 worth of groceries.

    • Dana

WOW – what a wonderful giveaway – I’d pick Kroger because I have the most experience with sales there (but I’ve recently discovered Publix and Ingles!) I was in the hospital over the weekend and didn’t get a paper – so after no coupons last weekend and no paper this weekend, I’m getting my coupon “fix” on your site=) Thanks for all the wonderful deals – I love this site!

    • Vicki

I would love to take this challenge..I would go to Publix. i do think that with a bit of work before hand I could get at least 150+ for this $50.00 card.
Let me prove it to ya!!!!

    • What a great idea! I’d have to pick Publix — and would love the challenge of stretching the card into four weekly trips, working in the penny item! Thanks!

    • Vicki

I just wanted to check back in and say I posted it on my FB wall. I hope some friends join in and see if they can win the “other” card!!!! :>)

    • Gabby

Okay, I’ve only been doing the coupon thing for about a month now, and while some of the ladies here have me totally beat ($200 for $50???), I would love to try this challenge. I’ll be more humble and say I could try for about $100 worth, though I’m sure there are those that would do way better.

      May the deserving gal win!

    • Gabby

Oops, forgot to say — Kroger!

    • Stephanie Jones

I would “LOVE” to win a $50 GC to PUBLIX- with all the BOGO and great deals that Publix runs in conjunction with my coupons this mommy of 2 little boys thinks she can spend $50 and have savings of $125! Give me a chance to see if I can do it!! Thank you –

    • Kathryn

I would pick Publix. I can make $50 go a looooog way!! I think I could get at least $120 out of $50 easy!

    • I think I could probably do about $180 for $50. Ohhh, I love a challenge! I have been doing this for about 2 months and am loving it!

Kroger would be my store of choice!

I have been entering drawings like this left and right.

    • Adell

I love your website and check it every day. I would be thrilled to get a $50 gift card to Fry’s, which is Arizona’s Kroger. I think I could get between $200 – $300 worth of groceries with it. How generous of you. Thanks!

      You have great giveaways!

    • Laura

Harris Teeter….yes, I know most people believe they are more expensive, but they double up to 99 cents everyday with coupons and they’ve started doing triple coupons almost every month now. I sometimes save so much that I have to get manager’s approval for the sale….now that’s some savings. I think I could get about $160 retail groceries with the $50 gift card (and lots of awesome coupons, hopefully tripled!)

      thanks!

    • chrissys

jenny, a Publix GC would be great. Hopefully with q’s and a great sale, $50 could be worth $250.00. Just want to ask, is this in one transaction, or what we can do with the $50 GC. Thanks Jenny.

      chrissy

    • james

I would go to Kroger and get at least $150 worth of groceries!!!

    • chrissys

I would love a gift card to Publix. I try to keep my weekly shopping under 20.00 for a family of 7. It would be fun to see what I can get with 50.00. I hope I win.:)

    • Dana M

I would LOVE to have $50 to spend a Publix, I think that I could get $300-350 worth of groceries. I know that seems high but I spent 8.50 today and saved $88. All thanks to you Jenny!!!

      Dana!!

    • What a neat giveaway, Jenny! I’d love to win a Publix gift card. My last two trips there were: spent $30, saved $60 and spent $20, saved $80 or 66% and 80% savings, respectively! If they keep up the BOGO’s, I would guess I could get $160 worth of groceries for $50. I posted your contest on my blog here. Thanks!

    • Tabetha

I’m starting to learn the game…took me some time working 50 hours a week! Now I am cutting back, and ready for a challenge. I would like mine to…Publix…I think I could get about $130 out of it. So, do you take all 3 kids with you when you shop? It is enough for me to try and control Matthew and Greg!

    • Anne

With a hungry husband and 3 kids (6, 11 and 13!) I was always hearing… There is nothing ever to eat in this house! Well with the time I invested in educating myself about couponing; my children no longer have to say this. I would definitly go to Krogers and would enjoy saving as I have been for the last few months! I can wait to win!

    • I think I would like it at Harris Teeter or Lowes Foods. I am thinking I could get about 110.00 out of that 50.00. Would love to try!

    • Julie Ann

I am just starting out but I’m pretty sure I could get $125 for $50. Kroger is my only option here. Thanks!
I have 3 kids ages 3 and under (like you jenny! :) THANK YOU THANK YOU for all your work!!! This is taking a while for me to learn but I’m having fun w/ it!

    • Marcie

I would love a card to Krogers- no Publix here-boohoo! I think I could turn this into about $100-125 retail for my family buying items that we use regularly Thanks so much

    • Kelly

I like alot of others am a beginner at this. I’d have to say i could probably get about $110 worth with the $50. At publix, which is where I’ve had my most success which I am VERY proud of :) Thanks Jenny!

    • I’d want a Kroger gift card :) We usually save at least 50%, so I’d say I could get a good $100 worth of groceries out of it. *Thanks* for the giveaway!

    • amy

yesterday i got $70 for $5. I was shaking with joy but on average..i get at least 70% off. so i think i could get $170-200…that is pushing it!!! and it would be at publix for sure!!

    • Heather

I would love a Publix gift card! When I shop there, my target is save twice as much as I spend. So for $50 I think I could easily get $150 worth of groceries. But if it’s a really good week or with some extra special coupons (like the Baby Club coupons I have hanging around) I could get even more groceries for that amount. I love love LOVE Publix!

    • Heather

Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I tweeted!

    • Kroger for sure! I would hope to get maybe $150 or so for the $50 gift card. Thank you!

    • Taylor

I could definitely do damage in Publix with $50! I bet I could hit the $150 mark.

    • Sarah

LOVE your site…Publix would be my choice!! Just went in today, and got about $100 for $26, so I’m thinking about $200.00…Now that would be nice.

    • Hi Jenny! I am going to go with Publix – it’s become my favorite store thanks to you! I am thinking I can get $125 for $50. See you soon!

    • Lori

I’d have to pick Kroger because that’s what I have available here. (I’d love to have a Publix after seeing what kind of deals they have!) I think with $50 I could get $125 worth of groceries. I could have done better if the challenge had been a couple weeks ago during the big Kroger two-week sale–I did great those weeks! :) Thanks so much for this opportunity!

    • Becky

Relatively new to your site and LOVE it! Thank you. I would love a $50 Kroger gift card. I usually save at least 50% with my coupons, but work hard to make it closer to 75%. I think I could get $100 worth of groceries easily, but maybe even $125-150 if it was a really good sale. Thanks again!

    • Jennie

I would love to see how much stuff I could get. This would really help me work harder at coupons. I would love the Kroger giftcard!

    • Lindsay

I would love a gift card to Publix—I LOVE that store. I’m new to couponing so I’m not sure but I know I could at least double it. So to give myself a challenge, I’ll say I could get groceries worth $135. Thanks for all you do to make these savings possible for my family!

    • Tracy

I would chooose Harris Teeter because I would wait till Triple coupons and definitly get 4x or even more out of that $50. Usually do awesome at Harris Teeter when they have triples, beging total usually around $50 and then going to around $3 after coupons. I could really do some damage with $50. thanks for the opportunity

    • John

Sign me up! With a $50 gift card to Publix, I think I could net groceries worth $150 retail….

    • PollyS

Kroger (Smiths) or Wal Mart. Can’t decide.
Thanks so much for this giveaway and for all you do!

    • Christie

      Awesome,

      Sign me up, too!
I’d like a gc for Publix and think I could walk out with $120 worth of groceries…. probably even MORE. fun!

    • Wendy

I would choose Publix–they are so awesome :) I think I could get $90 worth of groceries with the $50–and would love to try!

    • Crista

I would love the gift card to Food Lion..that’s the only one we have here that you follow.

I have no idea how far I could make it go. I find FL to be harder because it doesn’t double q’s and I don’t have a large stash of q’s yet, but I would do my very best to make you proud! (and hubby proud) I’m very new to this and would love the challenge!

PS – would the whole shop have to be done in one transaction?

      THANKS JENNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • I think I’m late to jump on this lol

I’d love a Publix giftcard and I think I could get anywhere from $150-$200 for $50

My last trip I saved $89 and spent just under $30 but I know I could do better

    • Lindsay

PUBLIX!! I think I would be able to get $100-120 worth of groceries for $50…I suppose it depends on the BOGOs!

    • I could get at least $200, but it would be my goal to make it stretch and buy 500 dollars worth, at Publix. Because it is my average to spend twelve to fifteen cents on the dollar.

    • Elizabeth

I would use it at Bi-Lo and I think I could get $150-$175 worth of groceries with the $50 gift card.

    • Kim

I am gonna have to say Publix because of their B1G1 deals. I have been getting about $60 of stuff for about $15 the past few weeks so I would guess I could get between $120 and $150 with a $50 gc. It might be less though because when I went to Publix this week I somehow lost my best coupon envelope …. the one with all my favorite coupons in it. I don’t know what happened to it but of course no one turned it in. I probably had $50 worth of coupons for my very favorite things in there incuding some $ off catalinas at Kroger and my Capt Crunch coupons which I have been saving to use with a B1G1. Sighhhhhh….. I would really love to win this contest. Thanks for the chance! Kim

    • laura

I am a newby here, but I have learned so much in only a few weeks. The first week I started I saved over $75.00 in B1G1 and my coupons at Publix. I had over $20.00 worth of coupons alone. I would love the opportunity to show you how much your website can teach people. I shop at Publix and Winn-Dixie (mainly to get there $10.00 off coupon). I am not sure of how much in groceries I could get but I would say at least 125.00. Laura

    • I would like my gift card to be for Publix. I’ve enjoyed getting tons of groceries for only a few dollars, which has helped our family of 5 sooo much on the grocery bill! I would say I could probably get about $150 worth of groceries for $50. Monday at Publix, I would have spent $178 without store specials and coupons. I paid $59. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT! Thanks so much for all the hardwork you do in saving us mom’s money every week! Everytime my friends and I go to Publix, the cashiers are constantly amazed at how much we save. We tell them all about your site! =)

    • carrie

PUBLIX! i think i could manage getting roughly $125 worth there!!

    • cindy

I would love a gift card to Publix.  I love a coupon challenge!!!  I could at least double the value.  My home has never been so stocked.  Thanks for this site :)

    • Kim W.

What a fun idea! I’m new to this serious form of couponing, too. I just learned about Souther Savers a couple of weeks ago at a couponing class here in Cleveland, TN. Following your Publix postings, I managed to buy nearly $70 of groceries at Publix this week for only $20. My coupon stock is still small at this point, but I think I could buy at least $120 of groceries at Publix with a $50 gift card.

    • I would love a card to Kroger–it is my favorite grocery store!
I think I could get $150 worth of groceries with this card!
      Thanks for the generous giveaway!
      Jenny

    • I would love to take this challenge, how fun! I’d go with a Kroger gift card and I think I could get about $120 worth of groceries with the $50. Thanks for the chance!

    • Trina

Hurray! I would love to get this giftcard. :) Thanks so much for the opportunity!!!
I would choose Publix, because Publix is an AWESOME store and our money just seems to stretch the furthest there with their BOGO deals!
Thanks so much for your great Publix deal lists. They have been so helpful for our family!

    • Keri

PUBLIX!!! I love the deals, and I am an internet coupon addict. I think for $50, I could get 175-200 in groceries. Only at Publix!! The BOGO deals are amazing, and they are by far the most accomodating with coupons!

    • Publix would be my choice because of the BOGO deals they always have. They are so great on the coupons too!!

    • Becca

Publix, since they are the best for getting the most out of your money and coupons. But I don’t know how good I could do. It would take some planning and rules. But it would be great for stocking up!

    • Heather

I would use the giftcard at Publix! We only recently got one and I have been amazed at the deals you can get there! I would love to try to get $125 with $50!

    • Sharon

I would go to Publix. I am absolutely addicted to their weekly 1 cent items that can be prucahsed Sunday or Monday with any $10 purchase. I get the most for my money at Publix using coupons and buying the biy one get one free items.

    • lisa

i would love a publix gift card… i love their deals, esp the ones you help me find. how much retail??? well last night i bought 91 for $8.12…. so if i could keep the margin the same that would be $540….ok so that isn’t realistic…. i would say at least $150 before coupons and discounts!!!!

    • Lisa

I would love a Bi-Lo card. That and Food Lion are about the only stores in my area. I have been saving around 50% at Bi-Lo lately with coupons and sales. I would say around $100 worth of merchandise for $50. I have gotten great meat discounts at Food Lion lately. I haven’t been able to beat their meat markdowns anywhere.

    • Becky

I would love a CVS card! I go there almost every week! I could probably get about $150 with the $50 gift card depending on what the deals are that week! Can’t wait to see who gets the gift cards!

    • Amanda

I have been getting about 70% savings at Publix. So, I’d say a Publix card $50 for $125+ value. Thanks for saving our wallets, Jenny!

    • I could easily get $150-$200 in groceries at Publix. My best trip ever was spending $70 and saving over $300. It will partly depend on what sales are out.

    • Bethany

I’d go to Publix-they are so nice and happy for you when you use a gazillion coupons. The other day, it was like we were all having a big party (me, the cashier, and the gentleman with the bags) for me having saved so much money! I’m new to couponing, but I’ve been saving at least 50-70%, so I would hope the $50 would get me around $125 worth of groceries! Yippy!

    • Lynn

I would love the opportnity to do this. I am new to this and just this morning I saved over 50% of my total at Walgrens. I was very excited about seeing the totals come down. I would love to have a Publix card and I could do $120 for $50! Thanks this website is amazing.

    • Stacy

I’d definitely like to win the gift card for Publix. I usually spend a little more than $50 a week, but I average around a 66% savings so I think with $50 I could get around $140 worth of products. That would be fantastic!

    • I woulld love a card to Kroger! On the good sales, I save 50-60 percent, so I think I could get $110 worth of groceries with it?

    • I would love one to Publix and think as a new couponer I could do $100 with $50.00 Thanks.

    • Deanna

I would use it to shop at Kroger. I’m fairly new to the couponing, so I could probably get about $90 worth of groceries for $50.

    • Chris

I would love a gift card to Publix. I am relatively new to this and really struggle to get my savings to the levels that most of your other posters do. My goal is to always save more than I spend so I think I could get at least $100 out of it. This might be the incentive to try for that ultimate trip where I save 80% or so!

    • Laurie

I’ve only been couponing for about 2 months. I would love a card for Food Lion. I think I could get $100 worth of groceries with $50.

    • Christi

Great challenge and giveway combined! I would love a $50 giftcard to Kroger, and I bet I could stretch that to purchase $110 worth of groceries. What a blessing for our family that would be! :)

    • chris oakes

I think I could do major damage with a $50 gift card to Food Lion. I anticipate having little difficulty getting $150 or more worth of goods for $50. We live just a mile from our local Food Lion – they know us by name and love to help us get the biggest bang for our buck!

    • I’ve been couponing forever, but just came across your blog two weeks ago. My savings have jumped through the roof! I’d love a Publix gift card. I think I could get $120 for the $50. :) Thanks for all your hard work!

    • R Wilson

I would love a gift card to Kroger because that is the only store I have in my area. The best I have ever done is buying $150 worth of groceries for $50. So that is what I would try for! Thanks for the giveaway!

    • Sarah

I’m new to couponing but I think could probably stretch a $50 Kroger gift card into $110 of groceries. Thanks for the tips and giveaway!

    • I could get $150 plus at Publix, I love that store!

    • Heather

I would love a Kroger card. I could double that value to $100 in groceries easily (with a little help from your website!)

    • This is a great giveaway!
I would love a gift card to Kroger and I think I could stretch $50 gift card into $250 in groceries!

I will be blogging about this @ http://www.katycouponers.blogspot.com

    • Heather K

Thank you for having this giveaway! This is only my 2nd week using your website to save money – I love it!!!!!!!! I would like the card to be Publix if I won…I used them for the FIRST time this past week and was amazed. I bought $90 for $28 then, so I will assume that I could buy around $130+ with $50, but that is a guess since so new at this. :0) Again, thank you!

    • Kris

This is great! I would love a gift card to Ralph’s (my Kroger). I think I could buy between $125-150 worth of groceries for $50. Thank you so much!

    • My choice would be Publix. Hopefully I could at least double the $50 gift card. Thanks for the promotion.

    • I think I could at least double. I love Publix. I can’t wait to see what the deals are each week!

    • jessica

I love going to publix and I would have to say that I could at least get $100 dollars worth of stuff!

    • I would go to Publix and I could at least get $100 of stuff. I blogged about your giveaway today too! So put me in for 2 entries, please. Thanks so much for all your hard work and dedication!

    • carole palmer

i would love to take this challenge at publix and i’m thinking i could get close to 120 with 50, depending on the week!! thanks!

    • I would love a $50 gift card to Publix!!!! My favorite grocery store! If I used it right I could probably get $150 worth of groceries with it.

    • Margery

I love your website. It helps me save sooo much money. If I had multiple weeks to use it, I could probably get $150 or more worth of groceries for $50. Wouldn’t it be so fun to try? This week I bought $256 worth for $72!

    • Carolin

I found your site last week. I love it. We all know how tough times are. I’m doing my best to be frugal and this website helps me a lot. Publix is my favorite. Since I’m new to your website I feel comfortable saying that I could do $100. The other ladies are so much more talented at saving money, but hopefully I’ll get there soon. Thank you for this opportunity.

    • Man, I wish I could fall in line and say I could stretch it into $100 worth of groceries, but I’m fairly new to the game. I’m hoping I could score at least $80 worth at Kroger.

      What a fun contest!

    • michellle
    • Jen

You rock–thanks so much for helping me save money! I’m going to be a little nuts and say I could stretch it to $155. It’d be a marathon planning session, but I’d love to give it a try. Pick me, pick me!

    • Jen

Um–I just posted and meant to say that I would love to attempt my feat at Publix, where it’s nothing but a pleasure to shop.

    • Kate

I think that I could probably get $110 worth of groceries for $50 at Publix.

    • Tonya

I would like the gc to be fore either Bi Lo or Kroger(Kroger is far away, but I THINK I could get hubby to take me for something like this).I don’t drive(legally blind),but I would do my absolute best to get there,so $125.00 if at Kroger. If at Bi Lo(closer to home),probably $100.00.

    • Tonya

      I tweeted about it:)Tanya1223

    • samantha

What an awsome gift and challenge. Id love Krogers. Fingers crossed.

    • Heather

I would love the gift card to Publix. My brother and I recently started competing against each other to see who can get the best deals and while he beats me at CVS everytime … I always beat him at Publix! I think I could get around $125 for the $50 gift card!!
He’s the one who introduced me to your site and it’s fantastic.

    • Faith

I would love a Kroger gift card. I am a new subscriber and don’t have as much confidence as many of your readers, but I would hope that I could get $100 worth of groceries on the gift card. I’m looking forward to your workshop in Atlanta in March. I’m ready to learn lots. Thanks for what you do!

    • Michelle

I would like a gift card to Food Lion. I think I oculd get $75 worth of groceries with a $50 gift card. I promise I’ll report back!

    • Carolin

I posted that I could probably do $100. I live in Jacksonville, Florida and none of the grocery stores offer double coupon days. I went to Publix yesterday. I had printed out my grocery list from Southern Saver and had all of my coupons. I did buy 4 items that weren’t on the Southern Saver list and they weren’t on sale and had no coupon:( I used $31.85 in coupons and saved $15.70 from Advertised Special Savings. My grand total was $36.08. I still feel like I could be saving somewhere. If anyone has any suggestions. Please let me know. I’m single and recently lost my job and think that $40 a week for groceries sound like a lot. HELP!

    • Amy

I am new to this whole couponing thing, so I don’t really know what I would expect to get with $50… I think $100 is fair, but more would be great! Oh, and Kroger is my store of choice :)

    • Kim

Kroger. I am guessing that I could get $110 worth of food for $50.

    • Lisa

Kroger – I have no idea how much I could get with $50, but I am willing to give it my best effort :)

    • Julie

I would choose Kroger…that’s all we have except for Walgreens. This would be a fun experiment. I would shoot for $120!

    • yzzilyzzid

Ooh, I would love the chance to spend someone else’s $50 at Publix! :) A few weeks ago I was able to get about $150 with just under $50, so I’d like to challenge myself and set the bar at $175. It will definitely be hard, but a lot of fun to plan out!!

    • First, thanks for the opportunity and challenge. Second, thanks for all the information and help. As a father of three teenage daughters, I need all the help I can get (enough of the mental jokes!!!).

Anyway, since my sister thinks she can get $125, I am going to say $126. Hopefully, each of us will win and we can make a family competition out of it.

    • Patti

I honestly don’t know how much I can get for this. I am new to this site. But after studying to tactics indepth and tlaking to my sister (who lives on this site) I think I can make this stretch a mile! I have a 7 year old and one on the way so I have decided to make coupon clipping my newest challenge. Let the games begin!!!

    • Martha

Thank you for the opportunity. I’d love to have one at Publix and I think that with all that I have learn here and your coupon matching I will be able to get $200 worth of groceries.

    • Amanda

Definitely Publix for me — on a good BOGO week I bet I could get $150 worth of groceries for $50 easy! There have been some weeks recently (when I was stocking up on free Jolly Time and .49 Goodlife cat food) that I had the cashier doing a double take when she looked at the receipt!!

    • thriftymom04

I would love a giftcard to kroger. I really think I could get double the value- at least $100- in groceries, probably more depending on the sales! I wish we had a Publix!

    • Anita

I would love to see how much I could get at Kroger for $50!

    • Lisa

Wow!! I would love a gift card to Bi-Lo. I think I could get $150 in groceries. Thanks so much for this offer.

    • I would LOVE a gift card to Publix. We don’t have a Kroger near enough to shop and still be frugal (gas!). Now that I have the Publix sales and policies practiced, I’m SURE I could turn that $50 into $175. Possibly more, if I shop a good week. Every week is good at Publix though. Thanks…and as soon as my website is up I’d love to put a link to Southern Savers on there.

    • I think a Publix gift card might change my life right now :) I’m pretty new to this whole thing, but I’m thinking I could get around $125…I like the challenge!!

    • Tara

Oh, this is so much better than Christmas! I would love a gift card to CVS. It would depend on the week, but I bet I could get about $150 in products. You’re the greatest!

    • kristy

Kroger would be my choice. With the huge 10 for 10 sale coming up this week (our ad starts thursday-wednesday) I’d say a good cart full or about $150 for 50.00

    • Hannah

Kroger is my choice as we do not have a Publix. I think I could at least get $100, but possible $150 with $50 depending on the sale. I am new to couponing, so my total probably will not be as grand as the experienced. Thanks for the giveaway!

    • Suzanne

This is great! i am just starting in this coupon saving frenzy but from what i’ve learned i know i could double that $50! woohoo!

    • Tracey

Great Contest. I am new to this stuff but I just saved over 50% in Publix yesterday so that’s my choice!

    • Thanks for the challenge.
Great for me as I’m just getting into the game!
I would love a card to Publix.
And I think with some organization and all the help you offer, I could get at least $125 for the $50 card.

    • Alicia W.

Hi! I am new to the coupon craze but last week I saved 33% so I bet I could get almost 100 dollars worth of good for the $50 gift card. We go to Publix around here!

    • Nicole Nessel

Well I don’t have a Publix or Kroger near so I’d love to have a BI-LO card. I should be able to get at least $80.00 worth of food for this. I just found your blog and am so Happy to see the info about Bi-Lo and Food Lion, my only two stores.

    • Chellsey

I know if i won I could get like almost $200 worth of groceries at Kroger’s, do it every time I go!! i shop for a family of 7 so I know how to pinch a penny and use upteen thousand coupons!!

    • Chellsey

    • beth shepherd

I would love to be able to win this and show what I can do with $50 at Krogers. Thank you for a great opportunity!
      tatertot374@sbcglobal.net

    • What a great offer!! Publix would be my choice! I love the BOGO and coupon match ups there!! I think I could purchase $110-$130 with the gift card! Thanks for the chance to enter!

    • cookin4less

Wow, what a great giveaway. I would love a gift card to Kroger’s. I think that I could stretch this $50 into $200-250. Can’t wait to try. I blogged about this at http://cookin4less.blogspot.com/

      Thanks

    • Mary-Margaret

Publix is my favorite choice for shopping. I think I could get at least $150 worth of groceries for $50. It depends on what I’m purchasing and the sale/bogo items.

    • Brooke Loveless

I have been couponing now for about four months and I have had good luck with Kroger. I believe I could turn $50 into $200!

    • Terri Pace

Jenny, I went back to my receipts from Publix for the month so far(3 weeks). I have spent out of pocket $67.10. My savings with vendor coupons, store coupons, advantage buy savings, and In-store special savings was $173.03. I didn’t add in the advertised special savings because I feel like when they put something on sale; then it’s really the price it should be!But when you do add them, then it makes my total $216.11.When I make all my shopping lists, I ALWAYS use your site. You have helped me save so much money, You truly are a blessing to my family-Thank you! I would like to win a Publix gift card because this is where I shop all the time. It would pretty much feed my family for a whole month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!lol–If I did win then it would take more than one trip to spend $50, Now that I thought about it, I’m not sure if you want a report from 1 trip and spend the whole $50 at one time? But from the month I could save $90.00 with the card.

    • Hello This is first time on the website. I would love a gift card to Randall’s I love to shop where the coupons triple or double. I am the “Qpon Diva” lol! I can stretch that 50.00 bucks!! example: 120.00 worth of groceries for 50.00 it has been done before.

    • Jennifer R

I think I could get at least $125 worth at Publix. With your site I usually save 60-75% of my total weekly bill.

    • I’m new to couponing, but I’m learning and getting excited about how much I can save. I just found your site- it’s great! I’d love a gift card to Publix. I think I could get at least $100 worth of groceries with the gift card.

    • Cher

If you are looking for a picture bursting with healthy food I can certainly do that for you! My goal is to purchase produce and lean meat with a savings of $40 (much more if I can!!). I have to stick to these items because we follow a strict paleo diet. This is a great competition. We are a Kroger town.

Kroger, please. I’m new to using coupons, so I really have no idea how much I could get for $50. :) My hope is quite a bit, but who knows. :)

    • PUBLIX!!! I could buy $125 worth with $50.

    • Becca B.

Okay…I’m going out on a whim because I am still in my FIRST month of couponing with Southernsavers. So I would choose PUBLIX because we do not have a Kroger in Greenville. My target total is $125 for $50. I’ve got my co-workers hooked as well so this would be a GREAT way to show them what’s possible…Bring it on!

    • Lindsey

I would take either Publix or Kroger.
I think I could get about $130 worth of groceries for $50 at Publix and about $200 for $50 at Kroger.

(probably really depends on what’s on sale that week…but that’s my best estimate seeing my recent track record.)

I’m gonna blog about it later…but I have to run out, so I will post it when I get it done!

I would love a gift card to Kroger. I love this site. It has taught me about ecoupons at Kroger and saved me so much money with the matchups. I was able to get 141.19 worth of groceries for only 44.03.
And that was with buying several things that I did not have coupons on that we really had to have. I think that I could get about 150.00 with the fifty gift card.

    • Kayla

I would love a GC to Publix. I think I could get $120 maybe more…..I spent $91 yesterday and saved $173….you know I got all my info from your site before I headed out to Publix!!!

    • Jilana Bond

This is my second comment because I’m reading everyone else’s and wondering how Publix is staying in business w/all of us saving so much money. I would definately say Publix please. I have been going on my lunch break every few days w/my coupons and I feel like I’m on a scavanger hunt. I got $50 worth today for $6. I keep looking at the cashier like she is going to glare at me and they are truly the nicest people ever. I think for sure I could get $135 for $50 if not more.

Well, I would love to stretch a gift card to the max. Today I spent $47.25 and saved $69.38! and also have a $10 gift check for my next Randall’s trip!! I love getting over 50% off! Bundling coupons and sales and rebates are fun and rewarding. I was able to get 4 packs of Stayfree items free! Walgreens had 2 for $4 sale, cut 2 coupons of save $2 when you buy 2, and a giftcard rebate paid for it all! Normally shopping at Kroger’s (first choice) and save at least 35% or I am not working hard enough. I’d love the challenge of getting even more! My kids help cut and sort coupons and match ads. It is a great game that we play and eat!

    • Emily

Wow! What a fun opportunity! I would love to win one for Kroger! This would be a great challenge for me & I’d be happy to report back!

    • Jessica

I would love a gift card to Publix!! I could make $50 stretch pretty far…maybe $150 or more?!?

      Thanks for the great giveaway!

    • Sonya

i could get at least $175 even possibly 200 out of 50 at publix. i got 130 out of 27 last week

    • Heid

Well I am new to couponing…As a matter of fact my next shopping trip will be my first couponing trip…I think it will go well as I have read lots of tips…I would love to win the Gift Card for Publix to start out my challange…Since this is my first time couponing I am not sure how well I will do but I would like to think I can stretch it to about $110 or so…

    • Caroline

I would be so honored if chosen as a recipient of one of your gift cards. I started couponing in January from necessity and it has been such fun and a true blessing to see how we can be wise with what we have to spend on feeding the family and other expenses.

I live close to a Bi-Lo and they are awesome about doubling coupons etc. so I think with the blessing of a $50 gift card I could make several trips and get around $120 retail before coupons etc.

Thank you for your website. I can’t fathom the time you put in to researching and coordinating all the information. It is such a blessing to me!

      Caroline

    • WOW!!!! What a great giveaway!!! Thanks so much for the chance, and the challenge!! I do most of my “deal” grocery shopping at Kroger. We have to stick to a gluten free and dairy free diet, and they have the most options for us. Last week I hit the jackpot :) The manager of the organic isle was doing markdowns while I was there and when I asked her what she was marking down she said, what ever you want!!!! She also let me know that she was going to be setting up a gluten free only section and a regular clearance on the organics. I know a $50 card could get at least $100 in groceries for us. Thanks again for the chance to win!!

    • paige

I can’t even begin to tell you how far a gift card could go at publix for me and my family right now. As always, Jenny you rock!! Keep up the great work!!

    • kim

I would like for you to choose me. I am new to this coupon game. I just started this week. I have made 2 shopping trips so far. The first was for walgreens. I spent 29.00 with a savings of 22.00 (not to bad for my first trip. Then I went to Kroger today and I spent 50.00 with a savings of 20.00. I know its not a lot of money I saved, but keep in mined I just started. I am a coupon vergin. I would love to have the 50.00 to the Kroger store near my home. I know take every shopping trip as a learning opp. and this would just help me in the learning proses. Think of it as you are my teacher and giving me the tools I need. So please choose me. Thanks

    • WOW!! Awesome give-away. I am showing a group of women at a Church in my area how to save money with coupons and this would make a great visual for them. I could see how far it would go, tell them the retail, let them guess what I paid for it then give it all to the one who guessed closest to the right amount.

      Keep up the good work!

    • I’d like a Kroger gift card. I’m hit or miss with Kroger, so I think I’d get about $100 retail out of the $50. Thanks!

    • I blogged about your giveaway. You even help out this Yankee!

    • Retail would be around $175 and I would be shopping at Kroger! Thanks Jenny. Great giveaway!

    • Sherry

I am new to this ( one week). I was thinking that maybe I might be able to get $100 worth of groceries, so I was wowed when I saw estimates of $125 – $200! Publix is my favorite, with a new interest in CVS and Walgreens. Thank you so much for sharing your info!!!!!

    • I would love to win the Kroger gift card! I am relatively new at the couponing game, but I have done fairly well at Kroger lately and think I could get at least $80 worth with the $50 card! Here’s hoping I get to try :-)!

    • Christie

Any word on who won the giveaway and how they did with the gift cards?

      • Jenny

The winners are busy shopping we should have their pictures and totals soon though!
