Amazon is letting you pass Go and collect a Free Monopoly Android Application game!  This deal is today only, but each day Amazon is making a different paid app free for download.

You have until 3 am ET to grab this deal from Amazon.

Just remember if you have an AT&T android it will not work for you because it is not supported. :(

I can’t get it to download on my Verizon Motorola Droid.  Am I doing something wrong?

No luck here either, and tried several times!

I want to download it, but asking for credit card number? Thought it was free?

I finally got it to download after giving a credit card number, but it won’t open on the Kyros tablet.

Thanks so much! I upgraded to a 4G Droid a few months ago and this version of Monopoly came pre-installed but only as a trial. I didn’t know Amazon had a Droid App store so it will be fun to check for the free app of the day!

If you are unfamiliar with purchasing free digital downloads on Amazon like apps and mp3s, they have always required a valid credit card on file. You will not be charged. They even email you a receipt of your order showing you you got your purchase for free.

Just a reminder, these apps and games are not all compatible with every Droid. If you are with AT&T you are out of luck. To the poster who has a Kyros, your tablet is running a low-end version of Android FroYo which is proabably why these downloads won’t work for you. I’m with TMobile and have a high-end Droid exclusive to them and have had no problems. It won’t hurt to try if you aren’t sure they will work. Just uninstall if it’s not compatible.

I have an Android phone on AT&T and you can install Amazon apps. Just go to Settings -> Applications -> check Unknown Sources (I have the LG Thrive phone)
