We had a family trip to Kroger this week, there wasn’t too much to grab deal wise but I loaded up on produce and meat.  I also stocked up on bottled water with a fun 87¢ closeout for kid sized 24 pk bottles!

While the savings was only 56% and a larger number would have been more fun, I’m happy overall.  We got marked down steaks, ribs, apples, broccoli, bananas, potatoes, and fall decoration gourds (Kroger has an awesome price on these by the way – 39¢ lb).  There were a number of coupon deals too, just grabbing the top deals off the Kroger ad.

Kroger:
Total before sales and coupons: $157.72
Total Spent: $69.21
Total Saved: $88.51 or 56%

I  also ran into CVS to test a deal that someone emailed, it didn’t work, but I did at least get my quarterly ECB’s, all 50¢ of them.  Honestly if you play the CVS game well you really won’t earn quarterly ECB’s unless you fill your prescriptions there.
