This week I hit Walgreens and Publix.  My husband was sick all week, so my trip to Publix was just for a surge of Vitamin C and fresh produce.  I used a few coupons, but really didn’t buy much that had coupons available.  Walgreens though was a fun trip for the couponer in me.

Publix:
Total before sales and coupons: $78.03
Total spent: $42.95
Total Saved: $35.08 or 45%

This did include a few BOGO deals like cereal and frozen vegetables.  I also grabbed carrots, grapefruits, clementines, strawberries, cherries, tomatoes, a pork roast and pork chops.  Oh, ad don’t forget the all common milk and bread.  So far in 2013 our budget is great and we are eating healthier than ever!!

Walgreens:
Total before sales and coupons: $22.98
Total spent: $2.82
Got Back: $7 Register Rewards and 3,000 Balance Rewards

All I got at Walgreens was the money maker glucometer and hair bands.  Making $7 just for going in the store, worth every second of the stop (not to mention that I got to go by myself with no kids…)!
