I can’t believe it’s November!  It’s finally getting cold and I’m sitting by a fire tonight as I type (we use any excuse for a fire).  This week was a simple week for us shopping wise.  I grabbed a few deals on Sunday as we got all the unadvertised Kroger Mega Event deals including the basics of milk and bread.

Kroger:
Total before sales and coupons: $22.40
Total spent: $3.24
Total saved: $19.16 or 85.5%

I grabbed a number of Garden Delights pastas that each made 21 cents after coupons, this helped pay for milk and bread.  We also grabbed Cat treats, pie crusts a few other freebies from the list.

How did you do this week?  Leave a comment or a link to your savings post.  If you don’t have a blog but want to share a picture you can post one in the community now!

Toys R Us – I went to Toys R Us tonight – on a whim, so I had nothing but my Mother-in-Laws' newspaper coupon in hand. Tonight and Tomorrow only – Razor A Scooters $19.99. If you spend $75 or more you receive a $10 Gift card (with coupon). Now, if I had been smart and thought ahead, I would have only spent the $75, and gone back tomorrow, use my $10 gift card to buy the rest and then, hopefully have another coupon. But instead I took advantage of some of their other deals….
2 Razor Scooters for $19.99 each
2 kids laptops for $13.99 each – one Batman, and one Barbie,
      a Transformers Backpack for $3!
      Shrek Flashlights for $2.98
Fischer Price my First Skates for $14.99 ($10 off)
I also found their reusable bags are only $1.49 and are great for gift bags, some of them do not have any Toys R Us printed on them.

Thought I'd share my deals, I saw quite a few more there! Take advantage of the gift card coupon if you can, plus rewards are %10 back right now.

I had a pretty uneventful week. I kept meaning to get to Kroger for the mega event but I never made it. Hopefully I'll make it to Kroger today. I've only made it to Food Lion and CVS so far this week.

CVS – bought Charmin, Dawn, Cold Buster, and a Bayer meter
before coupons/sales: $136.72 (Bayer meter is $75 regular price)
      oop: $1.22
      savedL $135.49 or 99%
*ended the week with $4.98 less in extra bucks then I started with
*have a $16 off Toy Story coupon from buying $25 in P&G products

Food Lion – bought Hungry Man meals, 2 lbs of marked down 96/4 ground beef, Breyers ice cream, and an avocado
      before coupons/sales: $54.96
      oop: $8.26
      saved: $46.70 or 85%

I also spent $2.10 on papers this week

      weekly totals
      before coupons/sales: $193.78
      oop: $11.59
      saved: $182.19 or 94%

I made it back to CVS again today but still didn't have time to make it to Kroger.

        total before sales/coupons: $84.46
        oop: $2.95 (all tax)
        saved: $81.51 or 96.5%
spent $10 more extra bucks then we got back

I bought 2 Oral B power toothbrushes, 1 Olay body wash, 1 Secret deodorant, a gallon of milk (it kills me a little to pay $3.49 for milk but I had extra bucks expiring), and a bag of Tostitos. I used $13 in extra bucks and spent $1.05 oop, all tax. I got back $7 extra bucks and saved $33.75.

Hubby bought Toy Story 3 (he had the $16 coupon), 2 Oral B power replacement heads, 1 Olay body wash, 1 Secret deodorant. He spent $11 in extra bucks and $1.90 oop, all tax. He got back $7 extra bucks and saved $47.76.

I went to Kroger twice this week. The first time I made out like a bandit! Bought: 13 Propel Waters, 5 Colgate toothbrushes, 1 Blue Diamond Almond Milk, 1 package of 2 Venus Razors and the Sunday paper. Spent $3.53 and Saved $44.28 ( the change might be off I can't remember exactly). That was a savings of about 93%. My second trip to Kroger I bought more then I care to list LOL, but it was mostly things I needed to restock on. I Spent $21.90 and Saved $47.26. That is a total savings of about 68%.

I shopped at Publix and spent $70…I was amazed and so happy:) My bill before savings and coupons was $178…I saved over $108!! I have to admit I was skeptical at first of the coupon mania going around…but I'm a true believer now. I've actually helped my sis-in-law and a couple of friends save on their bills this week by relaying the tips I've learned on your site. Thanks so much for the lists and coupon database. As a new mom who also lost her job in the last year, every penny counts and I'm very grateful for all the work you have put into your site/blog:)

Best trip yet I believe…Went to Kroger and saved 83% including 3 qualifying Mega Events for $15 off. I spent $13 and some change for around $60 in groceries. My husband couldn't believe how little I spent! Thank you so much to Jenny and Southern Savers- I chuckled when I saw another lady at the store with her printed list! The word is spreading…

I got this off one of the blogs and thought it was worth sharing with everyone :)

On a different note, I want to introduce all of you to something that might be just as good as couponing. It's a company called Angel Food Ministries. They sell good food for CHEAP and you pick it up at your local churches/ schools once a month. They are a Christian company, but I really love the fact that when you pick up your food, they don't try to save you. You just drive over, show your receipt, pop your trunk, they load the boxes of food, then you're good to go! There's also no limit of food you can buy, and the more people that purchase from them, the cheaper the food gets! If you've ever been to my house for dinner, there's a good chance I cooked you something I purchased from Angel Food, and you liked it! They've also got complete Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners!

      Check them out: http://www.angelfoodministries.com

    • I went to Wal Greens and Publix this week. I still don't know why I can't just enter the link above. http://mommychatters.blogspot.com/2010/11/publix-saturday-nov-6-2010-3.html
