This week my shopping budget was taken over by life.  It happens to all of us.  Thursday morning I was awakened by a phone call (never a good thing) that my mother had been in a wreck.  She is okay, just banged up a lot.  My budget for the week though went into getting her stocked on easy meals, and other things she needed so that she can just rest at home.  Having no plans for any of this, I had no coupons and really couldn’t even shop sales.

I did stay under my $50 budget but in the end only saved 49¢ on the whole trip.    Not a glory moment for sure, but that’s okay I love my mama and would do it again in a heart beat (anytime a couponer pays full price for something remember it is truly an act of love).

At our house we were already having a “clear out the pantry week”, so this fit in pretty well to not need the money for our needs.

I have no doubt some of you had an awesome week this week, so I’m living vicariously through you.
