I went out tonight and had a night to myself in Publix.  It may seem backwards, but I think I spend more money when my kids aren’t with me in the store.  I tend to mosey around the store and enjoy my time, which means more things I put into the buggy.  I did pretty good considering some of the high priced items we needed.

Publix:
Total before sales and coupons: $331.50
Total Spent: $134.55
Total Saved: $196.95 or 59.4%

To help some of you see in other areas that this can work for you, this only included 4 coupons that doubled ($2 in savings) and was with no competitor coupons.

It was a lot more than we usually would spend, but it did included $19.98 in pecans, $18.67 in Salmon, $11.59 in ham, milk, eggs, cheese, and $21.40 in fresh fruit.  We have everything to make Christmas dinner plus a few other fun treats (homemade cinnamon rolls are already in the oven).
