This is a fun weekend for us, our youngest is turning 1.  In honor of her (and the guests that come with 1 year old birthdays) we haven’t done much shopping.  I made it to Publix, Kroger, and Walgreens. We have really been living off of our stockpile for the last month or so, and beginning next week it’s time to start restocking.

Publix & Kroger

Publix:
Total Before sales and coupons: $24.14
Total Spent: $2.44
Total Saved: $21.70 or 89.8%

Kroger:
Total Before sales and coupons:$28.30
Total Spent: $10.61
Total Saved: $17.69 or 62.5%
(It was great to have a free cake mix coupon with a birthday cake needing to be made!!)

Walgreens:
Total Before sales and coupons: $25.10
Total Spent: .10 cents on gift card
Total Saved: $25
Will get $10.97 back in rebates
I received another $25 check begging me to transfer my prescription back.  I used this to get some of the monthly free items and a few things we needed.

Weekly Totals:
Total Before sales and coupons: $77.54
Total Spent: $13.05
Total Saved: $64.49 or83.1%

Yearly Totals for 2009:
Total Value of purchases: $905.54
Total Spent: $218.05 ($31.15 per week average)
Total Saved: $678.49 or 75%

How did you do this week?  Leave a link to your post or comment below (for those without blogs).  It’s very fun to see what everyone is saving!

    • I bought diapers, wipes, and other goodies for only $21.10! Thanks for all your advice and great knowledge on deals!!!

    • paige

OK OOP was $69.92 total saved was $125.71. The oop was way to high for me but it was 4 trips this week and last that I am counting. I am ashamed of my self because out of the $69.92 $29.36 + tax was publixs subs we eat them all the time, they are so good! Oh and I bought my husband $11.00 worth of V day stuff. After seeing how much we spend on subs I think I’ll quit, thats a lot of money. The V day stuff is cool though Just once a year.

So as always thanks Jenny minus v day an subs my oop would have been $29.56

Our Publix has Viva paper towels by the 8-pack. Can I use eight Viva coupons or am I limited to one?

    • Jenny

It is considered one item so you can only use one coupon. sorry

    • Rachel W

Since you are stockpiling next week could you indicate what prices you think are stockpile worthy earlier in the week? I am new to couponing and I just want to know what good prices really look like. An asterisk or something to notate what a good price is would really help me.

Thank you so much for doing all this work! I really love your site!

      Walgreens:
Total Before sales and coupons: $15.34 (would be more, but I don’t know the regular prices)
      Total Spent: $12.34
      Total Saved: $3
Will get $15.92 back in rebates
This is my first time doing the Walgreens rebates. Next time I will have a gift card to use. :)

      Rite Aid:
Total Before sales and coupons: $51.68
      Total Spent: $10.80
      Total Saved: $40.88
Will get $19.99 back in rebates
I am waiting on $20 worth of gift cards not including the $19.99 above.
