Hello from rainy L.A.! I flew out this morning for a whirlwind two day trip to attend the Independent Film Awards as a guest of Aveeno. Today was a long day of pampering and learning about all the cool things that Aveeno has on the horizon, they might even send us home with some things that aren’t even on the market yet!
Tomorrow, myself and 24 other bloggers (all fashion and beauty blogs – I am definitely the oddball here) are hanging at the awards ceremony in the Aveeno backstage lounge, so follow me on Facebook and Twitter to see who we are meeting. I know Nicole Kidman, Natalie Portman, Samuel L Jackson, Ben Stiller, and a number of other big names are nominees so hopefully we’ll get to meet a few of them. It will be a fun day I have no doubt!
As for shopping savings (what this post is really about):
I went to Kroger, CVS, Publix, and Walgreens this week! That’s huge for me, but I was on a roll and lovin’ it.
Kroger:
Total before sales and coupons: $199.58
Total spent: $76.54
Total saved: $123.04 or 62%
I went a tad over board on Hefty trash bags. They are $3.50 after the mega event and coupons and that’s an awesome price. So almost half of this is trash bags and Reynolds foil. The rest is produce and other foods.
Publix:
Total before sales and coupons: $15.42
Total spent: $3.21
Total saved: $12.21 or 79.2%
This was just Bertolli Pasta Sauce. I had to wait for Sunday’s $1.50/2 coupon to grab it.
Walgreens:
Total before sales and coupons: $24.19
Total spent: $8.41
Total saved: $15.78
Register Rewards Remaining: $4 ($2, $2)
CVS:
Total before sales and coupons: $9.96
Total spent: $1.15
Total saved: $8.81 or 88.5%
Extra Care Bucks Remaining: $4.99 ($4, 99¢)
Weekly Total:
Total before sales and coupons: $249.15
Total spent: $89.31
Total saved: $159.84 or 64%
That’s more than I like to spend in a week, but it’s almost entirely trash bags that sent us over and the deal was good enough to do in my book :)
