This week I needed to make up for not getting a lot of groceries over the past few weeks.  Publix has a great ad, so I decided we would head there.  We got over $255 worth of groceries and paid $85 for it before mobile app coupons!

Now, if you don’t know me, I’m not one of the crazy couponers that have a goal of paying nothing and leaving with food that you can’t eat.  My goal is to shop once a week at the store with best deals and to leave with everything we need.  So my trips will never total $1 at the grocery store.  My goal is to be under $50 for our budget so I’m a bit over this week, but after 3 weeks of no big grocery trips we needed a number of things.  Thankfully most of what we needed was also on sale!

Publix Totals:
Total Value Purchased: $255.84
Total Spent: $85.14
Total Saved: $170.70 or 68%

Mobile App Earnings: $7

After the app coupons, that brings our total spent for the week to $78.14.

Heads up: many of you have asked to have a way to keep apps/rebates separate in the savings tracker.  Come next week you’ll be able to do that!  We should make the update early in the week next week.
