Happy Friday!

I’m hanging out at the Ridgecrest Conference center this weekend for Becoming, which means one thing…  I am near a Harris Teeter!!!!  I’ve never been near a Harris Teeter during super doubles week, so I ran out and hit the store to get my 20 deals.  I didn’t get to go on the first day, so I focused on the “other deals” that weren’t free.  As I expected the free things were long gone, but of the coupons I brought there were only 3 things I couldn’t get.

The fun part, turns out if you save too much at Harris Teeter the manager has to come out and over ride your purchase!  I loved it!!

Harris Teeter:
Total Value: $110.59
Total Spent: $22.71
Total Saved: $87.88 or 79%

I also went to Publix earlier in the week at my husbands request before I left town.

Publix:
Total Value: $215.01
Total Spent: $51.58
Total Saved: $163.43 or 76%

This included 7 lbs of meat and various vegetables and fruits, so I’m pretty excited.

How do I add my Friday finals to this list?

Awesome wish we could see a breakdown of what all you got!!

    • Momof2Boyce

Have a FANTASTIC time at Ridgecrest!  My hubby & I lived in Asheville for 7 years.  It's such an awesome place.  You need to go to the top of the mountain to the overlook.  It's so surreal.  AND the last 2 trips I've made to Harris Teeter, I've had to get the manager for the over ride! :)  Love it!

    • Sharlon

Welcome to Asheville, Jenny!  Glad it could be made extra special with the trip to the Harris Teeter!  I'm assuming you went to the one on Hendersonville Road, which is my local store.  Unfortunately, I haven't had that kind of luck, but I'll definitely aim for it!  Enjoy your visit to WNC!!!

    • Great job everyone!!! Love when I am seeing everyone could save money on groceries …  :)

    • Newbie

I got an amazing deal on diapers this week at CVS – 103 diapers and 216 wipes for $10 after.  I used CVS coupons and manufacturers coupons, plus both transactions gave me ECBs.  I was very excited!

Plus, I went to Harris Teeter twice, and saved about $90, spent about $50.  Pretty good week for this newbie!

    • Cashing in on super doubles, I was able to get:
9 Packs of Hillshire Farms Sausage Links – $.24 Each
(horrible time finding them since HT is discontinuing them)
      6 – 4pk Yocrunch  – Free
      4  – Nasoya Tofu – Free
      2 – Vegetarian “pepperoni” – Free
      6 – Mueller's Pasta – Free
      2 – Tyson BBq Wings 28oz – 2.99 each
      3 – 6pk  Kondike Bars – Free
      1 – Skintimate Shaving cream – Free

I sepdnt forever looking for the links.  Never found them.  Darn!

    • MC

For a total of .49, I got 4 bottles of AJAX dishwashing liquid (reg 1.88, on sale .77, 2Qs for $1/2)  and 1 CVS body wash (on-line coupon from CVS – $3 off/price 2.77 – money maker!) plus kiosk coupon for .50 when using green tag.  Pretty fun!

    • Jmanley521

Enjoy Ridgecrest!  Say Hello to Ed, hes the one in charge of the high ropes and team building group!  He's my former boss, and he also performed my wedding for me!  Great guy.

I love it when you save so much at Harris Teeter that you need an override! Sometimes the managers at my local store stop me on the way out to ask how much I saved :) It is a very pleasant place to shop.

    • DMM

LOL – I've never known what the override was for!!! I always have at least 1 coupon that doesn't scan correctly, and I've always assumed it's linked to that.  Now I know :-)  I was lucky this time around – because SO many people are on vacation (at least that's my assumption) I actually got to get 3 Weber seasonings Thursday evening – I was thrillled!

      I love the pictures! Thanks

My daughter has medical issues and we spend lots of time in the hospital. Since school supplies are so cheap right now just wanted to throw in the suggestion that they could always use some to hand out to kids! crayons, playdoh, mini craft kits, coloring books…. They are greatly appreciated by the families that are there! I've also wandered the Target toy isle and picked up little toys that could be played with in bed to donate to them!

Kids love to get rewarded for there amazing bravery when they go through some of the things they have to at the hospital!

      thanks for reading my rant!

First trip this week:  $85 for $25
      2nd trip: $66 for $19

    • Kathryn21

Welcome to North Carolina Jenny!  Ridgecrest is a great place!  My husband and I are chaperones for our church youth group and we have gone to Centrifuge camp at Ridgecrest for the last 2 years!  We also love Asheville and it's diverse culture!  :-)

I went on the first day and the freebies were already GONE! Looks like you did great without freebies. :)

    • I had such a great time at Becoming – thank you for such great content.  And finally this dense head understands drug stores!

I have HT – and love it when the manager has to come over.  Especially when she asks me how in the world I got those totals.  :)
