For some reason this is the third day this week that has felt like a Friday.   I think it’s just been a long week!  I was gone most of the week and actually home for a whopping 12 hours all week… so needless to say there wasn’t much shopping done during that time.  I did run out for milk, bread and some produce at Kroger and also ran out for some essential dog items because we adopted a puppy this week!

At Kroger there was no  big savings… it was truly a run in and buy the basics.  I think the bread was on sale $1 off and the milk was 20¢ off the regular price, but that’s nothing to write home about.

Kroger:
Total Spent: $11.82

Dollar General:
Total before sales and coupons: $27.50
Total Spent: $17.11
Total Saved: $10.39

This was for a dog leash, collar, pet food and a couple of toys.  We were on the road and had to get something to be able to walk the poor little guy and this was the first store we found.  The dog food and treats were on sale and I had a coupon so that was most of the savings.

I also stocked up online on dog food with a deal on Amazon:

Iams Pro Active Puppy Food, 3.5 lb bag, 5 bag case, $17.88
-$1 off Iams Amazon Coupon
(makes it $3.37 a bag)

These same bags are $6 each at Walmart, so I’m happy with my find.

Total for the week: $40.09
