Hello from Charlotte NC.  I am enjoying my first night away from the husband and kids in 4 years!  I stayed so busy this week that so far I haven’t stepped foot in a grocery store!  I plan on getting to the store on my way home tomorrow so check back tomorrow night and I’ll post how we did.

Leave a link to your savings this week, or leave a comment so we can all see how well you are doing.  It’s fun to get share, and it’s fun for me to see how much you guys are saving!!  Please link directly to your savings post.

      Walgreens!!!!
Got $204 in merchandise and spent OOP $121 and have $61 RR and $34 in rebates coming so really spent $26. I made several trips to different stores in my weekly travels and have to get better at spending my RR’s as I go. Still I think I did pretty well considering this is my third week at this.
      Thank you Jenny!!!

Thanks to your tips and encouragement, Jenny, I had my best Publix shopping trip ever this past Tuesday…and I even forgot a coupon or two at home in my rush to get out the door and back home before they closed. For $146 worth of groceries I spent $31. Incredible. I just returned from a trip to RiteAid (my hubby even joined me with our four-month-old). We got all the free products ($65.39 worth) and had $14.55 in coupons, so they paid us $10.67 to take those items and donate $3.88 to the state in sales tax in the process. Not bad. I also went to CVS last night and did the diaper deal, among other things. Nothing OOP, only off a gift card and I was able to take advantage of a great clearance offer on Burt’s Bees products. Finally, we stopped by Food Lion tonight. I spent more than I would have liked, but we got my hubby some beer and still managed to save over 50% – and that’s before I submit the rebate for $12 back on the yogurt. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Jenny.

    • Thanks for doing the Mr Linky each Friday! I love seeing what people have done……and sometimes I wish I lived in different parts of the country. :-)

I think I am going to try to finally figure Mr Linky out…hopefully it’s not too hard. I am grabbing your button too……I love it.

      Enjoy your night!

So This was my third trip to Walgreen’s this week but by far the best! I purchased 4 jumbo packs of Huggies, 4 refill packs of wipes, 4 Glade Lasting Impressions, 2 Glade Sense and Spray, 12 Garnier shampoo and conditioners and a bottle of Wags infant Tylenol. Total value $198.75. I paid 16.74 OOP, & 8.90 was tax and the rest was the infant Tylenol that I needed to buy. So everything else was free! I could have done seperate transactions to get the RR but I wanted to use the RR I got earlier in the week from the huggies deal. I am well stocked now!!
